I'm just seeing Kanthony in a Sitcom called "Dirty and (almost) 30" or something sharing your adulting-experiences. They keep bumping into each other like comparing thread count of new-bathtowel-contenders, running with their hydration vests, buying educational storybooks for friends/siblings kids or responsibly sitting in the waiting room for their dental cleaning where they bond over lawn mover upkeep or something. Just thriving as grown-ups - just like you are!

That fact that I have managed to fool you into believing I’m thriving in adulthood is hilarious to me. I am embarrassed filling up the fuel can for my mower, Mate. I find that embarrassing for some reason.

Anyway, that’s not a problem Kate and Anthony have I don’t think. They’re 100% thriving, comparing reviews of lawn mowers and dutifully taking it in to be serviced and the blades sharpened. And you know Anthony has a thread count minimum on his bed sheets which is something Kate doesn’t think she’s supposed to find sexy, but she sort of does. She finds it really sexy that Anthony has a starch spray he uses on his collars when he irons and he wears an apron in the kitchen and she can talk to him about the nutritional content of Kale without him getting bored. Anthony B’s a catch.

Anthony knew about them before Kate paid the photographer even. They made the decision together to give him what he wanted. And that’s one of the things that starts to taint their relationship a little. The secret of it. The fact that they both knew they felt they weren’t giving the photographer anything because their would never be public.

I love how dutiful kanthony is by going on a work retreat (their only work being to bonk and make a baby)

Sounds like Anthony’s ideal work trip honestly.

Kate bringing up that they should have a baby?? She wants to have lots of sex in the hopes of having a tiny version of them to love?? The man’s thriving. He’s never been more focused on a goal ever in his life before. And Kate’s thriving because Anthony’s hellbent on not letting her leave their bed.

In other news this spoiler has made me convinced that there might actually be a time jump between part 1 and part 2. We know they’re definitely in part 2 (or at least costumes were made for Kate for part 2) so it wouldn’t make sense for them to go away and then be back so quickly I assume with their goal accomplished.

A select few do come out once their relationship is public. We’ll get into this more in a few chapters time but that was part of the… agreement Kate made for them.

She was… unsure whether or not this relationship would ever be made public and she has the only copy of the rest of the pictures but she agreed that if their relationship was ever made public knowledge, the photographs could be published. Honestly, in all the chaos she’d totally forgotten about it until she sees herself on the front page having what the headline referred to as a Sex Binge.

It’s not inaccurate though she does feel that description’s a bit classless.

It’s me again, the U.K. based occasional purchaser of Aussie confectionary. Today’s purchase - gold Malteasers! Malteasers are the ultimate chocolate if you ask me so I feel like I can’t go wrong.

Gold Malteasers are pretty much just Malteasers with caramilk on them. They’re not in my regular rotation but you can also get a KitKat Gold here as well. 🤷🏻‍♀️

I think we just like describing things as Gold.

We have so many varieties of KitKat and Malteasers though they recently discontinued my favourite Popcorn flavour. The Black Forest and tiramisu ones are also decent.

Molly…continue your adore this bodyguard au. We know Anthony won’t say “I told you so” to Kate when it comes to pictures on the beach, but I can imagine this is another strike against her in Violet’s eyes…because it’s just another reminder that her son’s life will never be his own and there is so much about that fact that scares Violet.

Is Violet thrilled that there’s photos of her son being undressed on the front page of the newspaper? Absolutely not.

She’s glad that Anthony’s happy, and admittedly, Kate having the palace make a public statement wherein which they referred to him her Protection officer and companion is more than she’d expected to happen once the King got involved. And damnit it if the Queen’s not awfully hard to hate. And Anthony’s eyes looked so young and naive when he begged her to just give Kate a chance.

She just… Anthony’s never going to have any privacy again. She watches Kate, and the crowds that follow her, clamoring for her attention and all she feels is scared. Because if something goes wrong who will they blame? Who will they villainize? It’s not going to the future queen who everybody loves. These sorts of families close ranks and Anthony would be left with nothing. Maybe not even the pension they give him for being injured in the line of service.

She’s just scared for Anthony. And also she doesn’t want to see Anthony standing in his boxer briefs on a beach in France. It’s just awkward.

So “extending the honeymoon” is code for Johnny and Simone will not be seen till part two. I will be watching episode one a whole lot till June.

Yeah, I did see some comments from the costume designer about costumes for Kate in the second half of season 3 so they’ll definitely be back.

My guess was this was done to accomodate Jonny’s other projects

Honestly, looking back he thinks this day aged him about 25 years, when the security guards rushed into the room, Mary bundled between them, their voices urgent.

“Your Majesty, there’s been an incident, the palace is in lockdown.”

Arnold pulled him roughly off the sofa, 30 guards, surrounding him and Mary.

“What happened?”

Mary clung to him, terrified, and anxiety started to curl in his stomach his chest tight. “I don’t know, they just… they surrounded me in the corridor.”

Arnold was talking rapidly in to his headset in the corner, his gun drawn, trained on the door. His face tightened, his mouth set in a thin line before he turned towards Tharman. Tharman had never seen this look on his face before in the 15 years he’d been his chief protection officer. He’d never heard his voice shake like that before.

“Your Majesty, I’m afraid that… Princess Kate has been involved in an altercation just moments ago.”

Tharman’s stomach dropped and he felt Mary’s hands tighten on his shirt. “What kind of altercation?”

“There were… Sir there were gunshots fired as she left her appearance.”

It didn’t feel real. It couldn’t be real. That couldn’t be real. He caught Mary before her knees buckled but his didn’t fare much better. He remembered the Kate had been born so clearly. It was the best and worst day of his life, all wrapped up together. His wife had died and it felt as though a hole had been punched in his chest even as he’d stared at the beautiful little girl in his arms. An Heir. That’s what the media had been excited for but not him, he mourned that for his daughter. He mourned that her life would never be hers alone. She’d been the only thing in his life for so long. For so long Kate had been the only thing he’d cared about. He’d watched her grow from an adorable little girl to the beautiful, strong woman she was today. And now she was…

Tears were blurring his eyes and Mary was sobbing against his chest, “Is she..? Was she…?”

He couldn’t even say it as someone turned the television on in the corner and the sound of sirens filled the room and there she was. She was trapped on the floor, blood covering the front of her dress as she was dragged backwards, screaming as she clutched a body to her chest.

“Oh god.” Mary gasped, “Was she hit as well?”

“We believe that only… Bridgerton was… he was shot twice. Ronald is… having some difficulty with the princess.”

He couldn’t take his eyes off his daughter, screaming for Anthony with tears running down her face and his blood staining her clothes and it dawned on him: Kate hadn’t been injured. But she wasn’t alright. His daughter, that tiny baby that he’d held in his arms all night and wept was having the worst day of her life now.

Would your discussion and posts continue to be Kathony focussed and maybe somewhat on characters like Ben, Eloise and Frannie or would you also be focussing on Polin?

I am asking because I'm not too into Polin and would rather not bombard your asks with other plot points and characters if that's where you're headed.

I think it’s impossible to discuss the plot without discussing the central couple.

That being said as I’ve said many times: This was a Kate and Anthony blog prior to season 2 and it will remain a Kate and Anthony blog long after.
