Could Anyone With Cosplay and/or Sewing Experience Help Me?

I am wondering if the style of this dress has a name? I want to cosplay Galadriel (Specifically her look from Rings of Power) but since I am a broke college student, I don't want to spend a whole lot of money on materials like foam and stuff to make armor, even though I would love to do that one day. For now, I want to keep it simple, which is why I chose this outfit below.

I'm trying to look up patterns but I'm having no luck. So far, I have looked up some simple nightgown designs as inspiration, but I can't find anything with the right neckline. All the patterns I find that are close have a square neckline, which is not the correct look. As we can see, Galadriel's dress has a curved neckline. It also has that bunched look at the top, which I have no idea what that's called either. As you can probably tell, I have no experience with sewing clothes, but I really want to try, and I think this could be easy once I get a good pattern and find the right fabric. I am planning on embroidering the designs on the neck and sleeves once I get the actual sewing done, but I don't want to buy any of the other materials until I know I can find a proper pattern to follow.

Any help or advice on this would be greatly appreciated and I will love you forever if you are able to give me any tips or suggestions!

Still a long way to go with the pattern of Adars breastplate *sigh*

I decided to include a seam in the center to make it fit my body a little bit better, i'll fill it in and sand it until it's not visible anymore but the effect will be worth it i think.

Having to work with very little reference material due to the non-existent lighting in this show is not easy... ( ╥ω╥ ) Also still shopping around for ideas on how to make his chainmail... Those tiny elven chain rings are no joke and i do not have the patience to craft a whole knee-length chainmail out of them. (⇀‸↼‶)

Random Update | Cosplay WIP

The weekend is over and I literally spent 3 days working on my Galadriel cosplay 😵‍💫

I accumulated 20 hours of work so far, and I'm not done, believe me !!!

I'm working on this project with my sister @kuroe-kitsune-sama . We are both invited by a convention as guests. We will have our own stand, will participate in Cosplay conferences on stage, and organise Cosplay shows ✨️

The deadline is soon (next month), and we have to hurry 😵‍💫

Which is why I haven't drawn much lately. But don't worry, I have plenty of ideas and I'm far from done with my Tolkien's drawings/OCs ✨️

This is the cosplay I ambitiously finished within two weeks exactly back in July/August. Gil-galad had been on my cosplay list for a while, but with pretty low priority, until the golden costume from the Rings of Power series caught my eye. Since I am more confident in armor it was clear to me that the torso part would be armor instead of a tunic. It was too good an opportunity to not do a mash-up between the LotR and the ROP costume, with ROP as the base and two beautiful elements from LotR Gil-galad.

at radahn like what kind of masculinity are you pursuing? the perfect hero like radagon? the vicious general like godfrey? a proud warrior kept in check by a vicious beastlord he bested in combat, who lived and died as marikas dog of war. radagon, a martial powerhouse who swore to master all aspects of combat, demonstrating martial skill in the liurnian war, before embarking on his journey of study to master carian sorcery before discarding it. your brother makes vicious machines of war, and your sisters magic is cold and dark and so powerfully lonely, and even as you love them you cant follow them. you want the honor, the skill, the glory, you want to be so big and powerful and loved no one ever throws you away, huh radahn.

with Radagon abandoning Rennala and having new children whom he dotes on, and Rennala losing her mind to grief and the amber egg, who is left to give him love and validation? he molds himself in the image of his childhood hero, both feared and admired for his strength… maybe he wants, needs, the attention that he feels he lacks????
