Rings of Power OC

Halbrand and Alruna spending quality time together in Numenor.

I think this drawing pictures their relationship quite well: Gentle and Passionate 💕

The more time they spend together, the stronger their love for each other gets.

Regardless of his mortal condition, Alruna get extremely attached to Halbrand. It has been thousands of years since she felt that way again, and she wouldn't give him up for anything on earth.

(Of course, I'm speaking from her point of view when she didn't know Halbrand was Sauron yet)

Halbrand, who's been reunited with his wife again, couldn't pass on the opportunity to start a new life with her. Which is why he doesn't want to leave Numenor to follow Galadriel in the first place.

He finally found the peace he was searching for so long: A second chance to be with his lover.

Well, Alruna is the main reason why Halbrand wanted so badly to stay in Numenor.

From my own interpretation/understanding of the show, Sauron truly wanted to find peace and rest here. (Which is really different from the original story of Tolkien where he intentionally comes to Numenor in order to strategically defeat the Numenoreans.)

You might wonder: So why he finally decided to leave Numenor to follow Galadriel and free the Southlands, if he found the peace he was searching for?

Well, after his confrontation with Galadriel, Halbrand decided to talk about it with Alruna.

She told him that he has the right to choose to stay and live peacefully here instead of facing the darkness again. But when he asked her why she'll accompany Galadriel to Middle Earth, Alurna confessed that she feels responsible for not having been able to stop Sauron years ago.

"Hiding from pain and darkness is easier than facing it. But we will never be truly free from darkness if we do not confront it."

Maybe she was right? Maybe they couldn't reach for this peace until he faced darkness again? And who knows, saving the Southlands together might be their duty after all? Who would be more capable of ruling over Middle Earth than them?

Alruna's Outfits | Rings of Power OC

All Alruna (main) outfits through Rings of Power season 1 :

From left to right :

Alruna's casual outfit in Numenor. Of course Alruna have a few dresses since she is living in Numenor, but this one is one she will be wearing during the events of the series.

Alruna's ceremonial outfit. Alruna was wearing this outfit when she first saw Galadriel and Halbrand. She usually wears this outfit on special occasions, official ceremonies or public apparitions.

Alruna's armor. This armor hasn't changed since she first wore it during the battle against Morgoth and its allies. She will be wearing it again while she will accompany Galadriel and Halbrand to the Southlands.

Alruna's dress in Eregion. Like Galadriel and Halbrand, when Alruna will arrive to Eregion, she will change her clothes for a dress given by the Elves.

I have to say that I'm really happy of her wardrobe. I put so much effort to give her an accurate series' look, and I'm glad I pushed myself to do it.

I might add additional outfits in the future, but for now, her mains one are done.

Which one is your favorite? (I have to admit, I love the Eregion one)

Fun fact : The blue dress Galadriel is wearing in Numenor comes from Alruna's wardrobe. I though this fact could have been canon if Alruna was in the series.

Random Update | Cosplay WIP

The weekend is over and I literally spent 3 days working on my Galadriel cosplay 😵‍💫

I accumulated 20 hours of work so far, and I'm not done, believe me !!!

I'm working on this project with my sister @kuroe-kitsune-sama . We are both invited by a convention as guests. We will have our own stand, will participate in Cosplay conferences on stage, and organise Cosplay shows ✨️

The deadline is soon (next month), and we have to hurry 😵‍💫

Which is why I haven't drawn much lately. But don't worry, I have plenty of ideas and I'm far from done with my Tolkien's drawings/OCs ✨️

Anyways, I will let you with some of my Cosplays. ('Cause I'm showing you my sewing WIPs, but I haven't actually shown you my finished Cosplays 😅)

Maybe you have noticed Alurna's ring, which was her engagement ring with Mairon back then... 'Cause she, she still has it, and will never throw it away for anything in this world.

I was thinking about naming my ship Halruna : with "Hal" from Halbrand, and "runa" from Alruna.

I'm currently reading The Silmarillion for the first time, and I'm 100% agree with you.

It makes so much sense in my opinion ✨️

One thing I love is that Tolkien never gives any specifics about Sauron's appearance in the Silmarillion, beyond the facts that he is "fair" and "beautiful." Unlike with many other Tolkien characters, there's no mention of his hair or eye color, his height, or anything else about his physical appearance as Annatar or any of his other fair forms.

It could just be because he is a shapeshifter and such details aren't important, as they aren't permanent, but I think Tolkien was a clever enough writer to have an additional purpose for it.

It allows the reader to picture Sauron as whatever is most fair to them.

In a way, it grants Sauron with the very power of shapeshifting that he has in the books; he can appear different to each reader and form himself into whatever is most fair and seductive in their own eyes.

Just a fun drawing I had in mind about Alurna and Halbrand's dynamic 💕

⚠️Rings of Power Spoilers⚠️

Sauron never expected to see his wife when he arrived in Númenor. After the war and the defeat of Morgoth, the Dark Lord had to hide from the Valar and also from Elmyr (Who died in his arms on the battlefield anyway, but that's another story 🤫).

While in Númenor, Sauron (disguised as Halbrand) couldn't pass up the opportunity of seducing her, and get her to be with him again.

Elmyr (now known as Alruna), was in charge of taking an eye on Halbrand after he gets to prison. They both spent lots of time together. The Maia had to admit she enjoyed his presence and started developing romantic feelings towards him. She sometimes finds some resemblance between Halbrand and Mairon (especially his love for crafting and how talented they both are), which amused her.

Little did she know that the man she was falling in love with is her long lost husband 🫣

Please, note that Alruna and Halbrand's relationship is still under construction.

I will add more details about them later on, so stay tuned ✨️

Also, if some of you are not familiar with this universe :

• Mairon, Sauron and Halbrand are the same person with different names (and identities since he is basically an immortal shapeshifter).

• Same for my OC : Elmyr = Alruna.

Mairon and Elmyr during The Days Before, when they were in love and happy. A time when Mairon were still Aulë's Maia, and uncorrupted. A time when Elmyr was peacefully living with her husband far from the terror of wars.

When Mairon left Valinor and openly declared his allegiance to Melkor, Elmyr refused to joined him on his quest for power.

Since then, Elmyr and Mairon are condemned to fight against each other. Though they are still convinced they could bring the other by their side. Mairon tried many times to corrupt his lover and Elmyr to bring him back to reason...

Now you have the global idea of Elmyr and Mairon's relationship.

Side note: This is the first time I ever draw Mairon. His appearance may change since I'm still searching for his design.

Random Update ✍️🏻

I've been reading The Silmarillion this morning (I finished the passage in the book when Finrod Felagund died).

I guess I'm around half-way through the book ? And you know what, I should've taken notes 😅

There's so many informations and characters. I don't even know where to start with my Maia OC Elmyr 🤯

Well, I guess I will finish the book first and see afterward ? But I'm not against some help if you have better knowledges on Tolkien's work than me ✨️

But still, this book is one of the best I've ever read so far ❤️‍🔥

The Rings of Power | The Silmarillion OC

The appearance of my Maia Elmyr/Alruna during the first season of "The Rings of Power".

For a better understanding, please read this post first !

In this version, she is still the Maia of Tulkas and Nessa, as well as Mairon's wife.

I don't think her past will change most from her canon/Silmarillion version ??? At least, if I can keep it as close as possible, I will.

But I guess we will see when the other seasons will come out...

Nevertheless, Elmyr, known as Alruna will be first seen in Númenor and will accompany Galadriel and Halbrand on their quest to save Middle-Earth/The Southlands from Sauron's return.

Context and Lore (I have so far) :

In this series, Alruna's main task is to watch over Numenor.

This task was given by the Valar after they gifted this island to the Men, which is why she is living here.

She is also close to the Queen Regent Miriel.

If we take into account that this timeline is not the same as the original from The Silmarillion, in this version Elmyr is the Maia who teach to the Elves how to fight during the War against Morgoth. Which means, most of Galadriel's combat skills come from Alruna 💪🏻

During the First Age and the War against Morgoth, the physical form of Alruna died. She was then brought back to life by the Valar and sent to watch over Numenor (as already mentioned below).

Which explains her nickname: "The Great Protector of Numenor".

I'm still not sure of how she died during the First Age, I'm still working on it ✍️🏻

Of course, she hasn't recognized her husband when she met him again after centuries. (What will be the point of this series if she discovered it right away XD)

I will detail their relationship in another post, so you'll have to wait a bit, sorry 😅

I'm still working on her "Rings of Power" timeline (as well as her original storyline from The Silmarillion).

All these information might evolve in the future since I'm still writing her story ✍️🏻

Small Disclaimer :

I'm not an expert on Tolkien's work/world. I've only seen the movies/series.

But, I'm currently reading The Silmarillion, and even though I love it so much so far, this is the hardest book I have ever read 😵‍💫 Not sure I get all the story right, but I'm doing my best to understand everything ✨️

This is why my OC is more based on the movies/series than the books. Well, only until my knowledges on Tolkien's books get stronger 💪🏻

I will also make a Rings of Power timeline that will be different from her original one from The Silmarillion. I know a lot of people don't like this series (and I can understand why since I'm reading The Silmarillion), but I personally like the series as it is: Inspired by Tolkien's work and not a direct adaptation.

Star Wars OC

Luke and Lyra Comic ✨️

Not my best comic so far (I have made a lot of anatomic mistakes), but still, it's not so bad !

Context : Between Episode 5 and 6, Lyra will be in charge to track down Luke Skywalker. Unfortunately, during her hunt to find Skywalker, Lyra and Luke will both fall into a trap. They will have to fight side by side in order to escape.

Even though I'm still not sure of what would exactly be the trap they get into, I had this scene in my mind. You might know or not that Luke never learned how to swim. So I thought it could have been funny to implement this scene during their escape.

Do you think they will jump off the cliff? Will Lyra will save Luke from drowning?

I guess you'll find out later...
