so. um. the good news is we found your boyfriend. the bad news is that, well, we sort of…dug him up…in the middle of a car park. in leicester (buckley et al. 2013). leicester, yeah. sorry. they demolished the friary he was hastily interred in when henry viii dissolved all the monasteries. you know how it is. and as it turns out, well, shakespeare was…sort of right about him. scoliosis, yeah, sorry (appleby et al. 2014). if it makes you feel any better we analysed his bones and it turns out he had a pretty high-protein diet before he died (lamb et al. 2014). and he drank so much wine that it changed their chemical composition, which we didn't know could actually happen before we analysed him (lamb et al. 2014), so he was having a good time, at least.

Sooo the question: is Arwen the youngest elf in Imladris before Cyr comes?

Chapter 51: There are some minors in Rivendell, but they’re in the 80s and 90s, which is basically close to adulthood anyways.

Chapter 5: “I am sure this offer comes only from the good of your heart, and has nothing to do with enjoying the fact you are no longer the youngest in Imladris.”

Chapter 7: glad that Arwen and Cýrlinnaril get along so well, and that he would be much pleased for them to develop a sisterhood to find solace in. They are the youngest of all the elves in Imladris, and deserve that comfort in each other.

so, technically, before Cyr, Arwen was the youngest OF Imladris but not necessarily the youngest IN Imladris.

i see where the confusion is and that's on me for unclear word choice, esp in the DiYW chapters. i was going to go into this later but i've essentially thought of an apprenticship-fostering system between the elven domains of Middle Earth where non-adult elves are trained in their chosen profession with experts. sometimes those experts are at home; sometimes they aren't. sometimes young elves leave home to finish the last stage of their education, kinda like going away for college lol.

First of all Nick will always be the funniest of the Monkeys for me, he’s just so effortlessly funny. He fully predicted the way Alex performs now with the facial expressions, the foot on the monitor and the back bends.

Secondly, the thought of Alex watching the Apollo performance they are talking about and cringing at his own stage banter between songs makes me feel a bit sad. Because he’s so sweet and funny during that show! And people during ‘The Car’ tour complained a lot about his lack of crowd interaction and I feel like that’s probably because in the back of his mind he’s constantly thinking about whether he’s talking too much.
