At this point, “Roger, roger” is basically enough to send Rex’s spidey senses into overdrive.

Does Cody not have his gold paint yet?! His armour looked distinctly grey, though they are on a moon so the lighting might be why it looks grey.

What happened on Tibrin? I must know. Is this The Clone Wars version of what happened in Budapest? Will we never know?

It’s a tiny little exchange but you can really tell from the change in voice how familiar Rex and Cody are with each other already.

Also that shot of Rex after he lands from their lines under the platform is absolutely a hero shot and hero pose. There’s quite a few of these throughout the episode and you can really tell that this is absolutely the introduction episode of Rex. So many moments throughout this episode exist just to show what an absolute BAMF he is. Seeing as the character was originally supposed to be Alpha-17 it makes sense. You can really Rex’s jaig eyes really prominently throughout this episode too. Makes sense, seeing as they’re on the front of his helmet, but it almost feels even more emphasised that you’d expect.

Naw Echo and Fives getting medals. And joining the 501st! Also their completely in sync salute and about turn was the definition of crisp. I know it’s probably just the same animation copied and pasted but we can ignore that and focus on how it’s totally cause they’re the twins in their batch.

OMG THAT EPISODE. MY HEART. CLONES. THE CLONES HAVE MY HEART. EVERYTHING FOR THE CLONES. 

I think I’m going to have to go back and watch some episodes again because when I first watched this I a) didn’t remember most of it and b) hadn’t started to fall in love with the clones. I should imagine coming back and watching important and memorable episodes again after the finale will have another different meaning to it all as well. Though, given what happens in the finale, I might need to wait a bit. Maybe I’ll come back to it after watching Rebels and a few other things I want to catch up on. I did realise though that I did actually watch this episode when I started watching The Clone Wars, I just didn’t remember most of it. The only bits that I remembered were when the 4 clones (Echo, Fives, Heavy and Cutup, I think) escaped through the tunnels to outside the base, right before Cutup got eaten by that eel.

Who’s Gwenpool’s favorite superhero? Has it been said?

It hasn't been explicitly stated as far as I'm aware, she's supposed to be a general super fan kinda reader which gives her an advantage over all characters because she knows everything, but we can make a couple guesses about who her favorites are

For one, we know it's not Deadpool, she actually doesn't read any of his comics which I think is a hilarious little detail

This is her room in the real world and we can see she's got a thor plushie and poster as well as a spider-man plushie and poster. There's also iron man, wolverine, hulk, and captain America stuff. Fair to say she's problem more of an avengers fan than an x stan

and then this is her room in 616, still pretty avengers heavy, but it's got heroes that she's met already (except Captain Marvel and She-Hulk). Gwen was reading a Miles comic in her universe so obviously, she liked him before, but I do think she picks her favorite heroes currently by how willing they are to hang out with her

She also just is so dedicated to getting Miles to hang out with her. Peter Parker was in unbelievable Gwenpool for one issue and Gwen didn't even try anything. But with Miles, she really wants to be on a team with him, he's a major player in her first solo series because she's always seeking him out

If she's shown reading a comic, it's always a spider-man comic the one she's reading here is Spider-Man double trouble with Peter and venom

Given this evidence I think it's safe to say she's biased towards Spider-Man, valuing both Miles and Peter just in different ways. This makes sense with her first attempt to get superpowers being her trying to get Peter to bite her so she gets Spider powers.

That being said...there's your favorite hero and then there's the hero that's your favorite because you've got a crush on them. It's pretty obvious that Gwen has no romantic feelings toward Miles...but there are other heroes who she's kinda weird around

There's a theory that Gwen has a crush on Jane Foster because of the whole wall shoving thing and how flustered she was. I personally like this idea and you know she's got a picture of her in her room

She is, unfortunately, a stucky shipper which like...girl you're a comics fan get it together. She also mentions wanting to see the winter soldier movie when in the pocket dimension working at the movie theatre so I think it's fair to assume she thinks they're hot

now you might be saying what about Reed Richards, she's canonically kissed him and to that I say, it was literally just a scheme to stay relevant. Check out Gwenpool strikes back #2 if you don't believe me (also check it out because it implies that Johnny isn't into women at all which... okay)

but my final answer is

Kamala Khan! Gwen literally calls her best girl and you know what Kamala is one of the only heroes that is consistently kind and compassionate with Gwen, often being the only one to explain the rules of this world and recognize her as perhaps mentally ill. I don't think Kamala was Gwen's favorite before entering the superhero world, but I think just being around her and the other heroes has shifted her perspective

4. Which one is more protective? Who needs to be ‘protected’?

This one is soooooo funny because @amaronith and I have literally discussed this and the answer is always "they all protect each other" but I feel like mostly Eddie and Flash's instinct is to protect the symbiote. I also though feel that whoever is at that moment bonded to the symbiote is probably more like... aware of the partner who is not being potentially more vulnerable? I think Flash is probably more foolhardy about it though. Symbiote or no he WILL throw himself into the fray. My precious himbo. 💖

8. What happens if one of them gets sick?

So, haha, I have 100% written this already for Flash and the symbiote, but that aside.. If one of the humans is sick, the first call is probably to May Parker because obviously they need her chicken soup recipe. Other than that, if Eddie is the one who's sick, he does not get to work, Mister don't even think about touching that laptop and all. Flash is a little bit more self-aware of his limitations but he gripes about it a lot. If the symbiote gets sick, they probably reach out to Reed Richards if they can because he's probably the closest they can get to an expert opinion while on Earth. Other than that, love and patience and lots and lots of fluids.

12. Do they have many heated arguments? How do they smooth things over?

I'm sure they have their fair share! Eddie and Flash are both pretty bull-headed and while it helps to have a third party, it also makes the symbiote sometimes feel like it's obligated to be a mediator (or tie-breaker). It's complicated when you literally know both of their brains. This sounds silly but they probably fall back on things they've each learned in therapy to de-escalate. 😅 It's important to have growth. They try not to go to bed angry at each other though.

16. Can they stay up all night just talking?

While it's romantic to think that they would I DO think that Flash has a tendency to drop off to sleep as soon as he starts getting tired. He can and will fall asleep to the sound of Eddie's voice. He is just exhausted. When Eddie has insomnia though I'm sure he and the symbiote stay up communicating, maybe silently. Or if someone stirs awake or can't sleep, the symbiote is always there.

20. Choose one song that perfectly describes their relationship.

I didn't want to just say "Dust to Dust" by The Civil Wars again so... "Days of Thunder" by The Midnight. It's about the complexities.

Honestly the symbiote does it for them out of instinct. Eddie is tensed up like 99% of the time so he usually needs a shoulder rub. Man needs to learn to loosen his muscles or they'll start cramping.

28. What are there thoughts on pet names? Do they have any?

100% on Amaronith for this one but Eddie calls Flash "golden boy". It's that old trope of "this started out derogatory but now it's affectionate". For the symbiote, honestly I will just defer to canon for this ("love", "darling", and "dear" from Eddie; Flash is not very good at terms of endearment so hilariously he might stick to "partner", "friend" lmao but @dyradoodles had the galaxy brain idea of "sweetheart" so. yoink!). I like the idea of Flash calling Eddie "babe" it seems fitting.

For the symbiote, Eddie is its "heart" and Flash is its "light" but I've already explored that here like the SAP I am.

32. Who's the better story teller?

Eddie, probably. He has a natural flair for the dramatic but is also very long-winded. He has a wonderful way with words though and Flash and the symbiote like to listen to him talk. Like he could read the phone book and Flash would just gaze lovingly upon him for ages.

36. Who's more likely to fire up the stove at 2am because the other woke up in the middle of the night hungry?

Flash. Especially if he's having trouble sleeping. However, Eddie might be up at 2AM stress-baking (thanks @cannibal-wings for this HC.. wow, this is turning into a group effort huh).

44. Who would dance in the kitchen making dinner? Would the other join in or watch from the doorway?

Obviously depending on mobility situation, I feel like this is a Flash mood, and Eddie is probably in the doorway smiling. Unless the symbiote drags him over. Unless Flash has the symbiote and a tentacle reaches out and drags Eddie in hehe.

52. Describe their weekend getaway?

I really like the idea of them going upstate to visit Flash's mom regularly and maybe they go to like... a state fair or something that would be cute. They win the mega big prizes for random kids there. The symbiote makes itself sick on fried oreos.

56. What do they do turn the other on/put them in the mood?

Well... I'm not saying Flash can get turned on at the drop of a hat but, lol. Eddie likes to be wooed a little bit more, a build-up from a nice evening together is good. Maybe one of his favorite records. The symbiote might make a few suggestive comments, put a few ideas in someone's head. It enjoys this, too. ;)

60. Who pulls the other closer when they’re sleeping?

The symbiote! It likes to tug everyone together. Except when it's like, 100 degrees Fahrenheit outside. Then it's going to go sleep in the freezer. Eddie himself also tends to gravitate towards a sleeping partner, usually with just like an arm, but Flash will actively seek out warmth. Rudely presses his cold nose against Eddie's back, I'm sure. 🙄🤭

Can you give us some of your favorite morb facts?

OOH! Yes I can! If I stray into headcanon bear with me. Sticking to pure facts is rough. 616 Morbius has more than 200 canon appearances! And Morbius in some incarnation has appeared in more than fifty different Marvel universes. It's theorized he might be a universal constant just like Spidey and some of the other major Marvel characters.

Morbius was created by Roy Thomas and Gil Kane, based on the physical looks of actor Jack Palance, and debuted in October 1971 to a pretty warm reception honestly.

The reason Sony has movie rights to Morbius is because he originated in Amazing Spider-man and for that reason was lumped into that contract sale in 1998 when Marvel was in a bad financial situation. All movie rights to Spider-Man or his foes specifically are currently Sony's.

His stats vary wildly in various wikis, fact files, trading cards, and data sheets, produced by Marvel, but it's generally agreed that he's 5'10, weighs 170lbs, and can lift about 1500lbs which used to put him perfectly matched with Spidey but Spidey's powers have gotten tweaked in recent years to a hilarious degree. Morb has worked with Otto Octavius, Reed Richards, Bruce Banner, and Max Modell in various science projects. He's considered to be the top hematologist in Marvel.

He's had the absolute stuffing knocked out of him more times than I care to go through comics to count. Morb had a huuuge remission period in comics from 1980-1989 where he was no longer a living vampire. I'm currently still in the middle of this search but so far I can find exactly no appearance in which 616 Morbius has ever cussed. Not once. Because of the peppered in manner in which he tends to appear a lot of things get conflicting in canon. Too many cooks in the kitchen. So things like him creating other vampires, being able to eat normal food, or necessitated feeding schedule, are wildly up to interpretation. Marvel doesn't make it easy on us fans. in his entire run he's probably gotten laid four times. (Three if you don't think Marie Laveau changed into a silk slip for REASONS.) It's hardly real trivia but makes me laugh because honestly the man would drop the world in an acid tank for a woman to look at him with anything other than pity. He is an absolute dumpsterfire and requires supervision. That's canon.

My user probably gave it away, but I'm a very big Doctor Doom fan, he's consistently one of my faves. His appearance in Guardians of the Galaxy (2020) is actually what made me get into GOTG, lmao.

His dynamic with Reed makes me go completely insane. It's so complex and so simple at the same time and I think they should kiss about it.

Him and Valeria, though..... Ryan North, the man that you are, understands it so well. Victor does genuinely care about her and their dynamics are either hilarious or heartwarming. I really wish there was more, I dunno, exploration of how Victor feels about her death being essentially faked again, but I do trust North quite a bit after his Doom-focused issue so... here's hoping we get some good interactions when Val returns.

Julian McMahon is someone whose intimidating onscreen presence is enough to unleash the conceited, menacing demeanor of Victor Von Doom (who’s also the monarch of a fictional country known as Latveria).

The special effects involve each ability related to the defining personality traits of the characters. Reed’s stretching represents the expansion of his scientific methods. Sue, despite her own brilliant mind, sometimes seemed a little out of place from the beginning. Aside from her invisibility, she has the power to project force fields, releasing her inner physical and emotional strength. But she gradually comes out of her shell as she embraces her gift. Johnny’s fiery engulfment represents his hotheadedness and wild enthusiasm. He can also fly when fully ablaze (just by saying “Flame on!”). Ben Grimm’s rocky appearance is the result of severe exposure to the cosmic storm. But his ability to perform superhuman feats of strength make him worthy of a superhero. He even has his own catchphrase as he throws his punches to the bad guys: “It’s clobberin’ time!”. Victor Von Doom’s condition is a durable metallic alloy (following an explosion that left a scar on his head during the storm). He wears a metal mask to hide his facial deformities. He can even manipulate electrical and magnetic currents, thereby absorbing massive quantities of energy to become an all-powerful enemy. As for the Silver Surfer, he’s a humanoid extraterrestrial whose reflective skin and cosmic powers represent his heraldry. The main source of his power is a surfboard-like device, which enables him to fly faster than the speed of light.

While the first movie is set in New York City, the second film goes around the world as the Surfer creates global disturbances and craters as he serves for a destructive entity called Galactus. That’s where the Fantastic Four (especially Sue) come in to reason with the Surfer in order to spare mankind and Earth.

The soundtrack includes a collection of songs from a diverse group of musicians. The track list includes: “Come On, Come In” by Velvet Revolver, “Noots” by Sum 41, “On Fire” by Lloyd Banks, “Everything Burns” by Ben Moody featuring Anastacia and “Surrender” by Simple Plan.

Finally, the message is don’t ever be ashamed of whatever power you receive as it can make an amazing difference to ordinary people. All in all, I recommend both those movies to every Marvel fan.

She-Hulk

I just watched the first episode and it's everything that I could have hoped for! For years, my bff and I have been saying that we want a comedy lawyer show with Jennifer Walters and that is exactly what we got.

Tatiana Maslany is amazing (of course). I'm so happy to see her in a show she gets to be funny in and not play 10+ characters. My favorite of the sestras in Orphan Black were Alison and Helena - especially when they had comedic moments.

There's a lot of jokes geared at Bruce. She totally calls him on all of his very obvious issues. He does talk about Tony a little too much, but I'll give him a pass.

The bathroom scene at the bar was great. Jen later explaining how she suppresses her anger every day just being a woman in society was spot on.

If you're not familiar with her character, she's a little like Deadpool in that she breaks the 4th wall and has a sharp sense of humor. Jen has similar powers to Bruce (not quite as powerful since he has nearly limitless strength based on his rage), but she's always herself. There is no second personality vying for control.

Sadly, since there is no Reed Richards in the MCU to discover "unstable molecules," her and Bruce have to rely on spandex to stretch with them so they don't pop clothes off.

If you watch it, make sure you watch the post credits scene for a hilarious moment she has with Bruce.

My ✨ Multiverse of Madness ✨ review, not that anyone asked ⚠️ SPOILERS AHEAD ⚠️

So first off the movie was not as good as I expected.

For one it didn't make sense to me why they didn't include vision or Pietro in the film, didn't even mention them. Like I get the film was about Wanda and read somewhere that they discussed it but they wanted Wanda to be more domestic and stuff but to me it still didn't make sense that they didn't even mention the two they were a big part of her life.

I did like how creepy the film was though. It had some things that the other marvel movies didn't. For example it had a lot of like jump scares, the creepy music in every scene that had you at the edge of your seat until you jumped at the abrupt sound. At one point I literally had to cover my eyes because I couldn't with the jump scares which after it happens of course is always funny to me and I do end up laughing.

THE CAMEOSSSSS. Okay I loved the cameos, okay like my girl Captain Carter she looked so good!!!!! AMAZING! Omg I love her. Every time John Krasinski said smart stuff I was like that's Jim. But then I had to be like no that's Richard Reed. Maria Rambeau as Captain Marvel amazing! And I thought it was hilarious when Doctor Strange met Black Bolt because literally on my marvel calendar Black Bolt was on the 25th of last month and I’ve never heard of him before (I know of inhuman but have never delved deep into it) so I kept laughing at his name Blackagar Boltagan like the whole day and the fact that that was in doctor strange was hilarious to me. But they didn't have he most important cameo, my boy Pietroooooo but whatever it's okay.

Also the movie made me realize that my sense of humor is different than others. So when Wanda was like fighting the illuminati and killing them I like laughed at their deaths, mainly because it was so unexpected to me, and she killed them so easily, the only one who I was like why you gotta go and do that was with Charles, like I know that she had to but like leave the poor old man beeeeeee. But yeah I laughed during those parts and nobody else did. But the emotional parts where Wanda expressed her feelings I was like tearing up and other people were laughing, and I'm like this isn't funny it's serious. But maybe that's their coping mechanisms 🤷🏽‍♀️

I really highly enjoyed that music note fight though I have never seen any like that and I thought that whole sequence was unique and different, and just plain cool.

At first America Chavez annoyed me because she was just sort of a scared little girl but then I stepped back and thought if I was in that position I'd be exactly the same so, I can't blame her.

The post credit scene was very lame, nothing exciting I'm not really excited about the next movie but to be fair I never truly cared enough about doctor strange.

Overall I would've rather watched it in my own house and skipped around some parts then spend money in theaters.

It is definitely near the bottom of my marvel movie lists but it has such a unique horror and thriller vibe that it is probably somebody's favorite, which I say to each their own.

Do not take my review to heart we all have different opinions and different things we enjoy!

aaand Phobe's boyfriend Mike-Friends. Slightly Chandler Bing, if only because he was freaking hilarious.

Low key Black Lightning. Again, the dad character.

Peter Quill-GOTG Cartoon (halfway live-action, but he's too immature for me.)

On that note, totally crushing on Owen in Jurassic World. So manly!!

Spock, Sulu-New and old Star Trek (but for old, it's more like "Yes, I can see where Spock was handsome.") Not outright drooling. For sulu, DEFINITLY DROOLING.

Daggar?? Twins-Tangled Gawd, yes! They're gingers, but they're just so big and overwhelming and bulky. Built like brick chicken houses.

Speaking of Are You Being Served Quotes, Mr. Spooner singing in the last episode made 8-11 year old me feel…things. Same for Ricky singing in I Love Lucy. No wonder I grew up having a thing for musicians.

Wolf guy in BNA. It's the voice.

Tadashi from BH6, even though I didn't really love that movie.

Low key Robbie from Dinosaurs when I was a kid (or high key? I just remember some weird kinda big brother or romantic adoration for him). Still, my favorite, probably because he doesn't fit the nerd stereotype in family sitcoms. A little too Rockstar for it, with a little skater dude without the valley boy accent. He's just chill and stuff. Can't explain it.

I don't like Doctor Strange normally for reasons I won't get into here, but I admit, him in Avengers Assemble is a total Fox.

Super low-key Brendan Fraiser's character in Blast From The Past. I lost all resolve when he kissed the Girls knee. Really not my type, but who doesn't love a hopeless romantic type guy.

Max Goof when I was five, undoubtedly.

The JLU version of The Flash

Basically almost any young adult male on Young Justice, except Beast Boy. He's more my woobie.

Raoul from Phantom of the Opera. 19-year-old me was hardcore drooling for this guy!! Simping! Dyyying inside!

I came to appreciate Gerard Butler more when I got older, but he wasn't on Raoul's level.

Can't remember if I mention him yet, but Master Piandao on ATLA.

If, and ONLY IF I were a pony, I'd flirt with Braeburn, no cap. (I can't explain it either, but I guess it's the accent, I've always liked cowbows, and it's his countenance.)

I thought Nick Carter from BSB was hot for like five seconds.

On that note, though I never crushed on them as a tween/teenager, I now see Kevin and AJ's attractiveness as an adult. (But I'm also not one for tats. So cute they have families now.)

GTA RP - Where to Start? A Character/Streamer Rec List.

Because of the huge scope of GTA RP, it can be daunting to get into. So I thought I’d write up a rec list for few different characters that I personally enjoy watching - there are literally hundreds more out there, but (in no particular order) here are some of my favourite characters and streamers to watch - I’d recommend that, if you’re looking to get into GTA RP, you give them a shot. Captain Jeffrey Bundy - played by OccamsSabre Bundy is a Captain in the LSPD. He’s intelligent, capable, and is one of the wittiest people in Los Santos: his deadpan delivery is a delight. He specialises in investigative work (especially serial killers and stalkers) and also works in the police department’s canine unit. He has a dog called Ted. Yes, really.  Ash Ketchup - played by Ash Ash is a deceptively sweet ‘girl next door’ who owns one of the most popular cafes in Los Santos. Her long term boyfriend is Benji Ramos, an ex-south-side gangster; together the two of them are a formidable team and have recently put together their own crew, Seaside. Despite her innocent veneer Ash is full of mischief and isn’t afraid to stand up for herself or others.  TJ Walker - played by DocWizard For two years TJ was an officer in the LSPD - but at the end of January he became one of the only people in the history of Los Santos to quit the police force and become a criminal. This came about after a dramatic, month long arc that culminated in TJ shooting another officer as part of a blooding-in initiation to his adoptive father’s motor-club, the BBMC. TJ is tactical, dramatic, intelligent, and a bit goofy - he’s adjusting to his new life as a criminal and is trying his best to do his criminal family proud. His arc going from cop to criminal is one of the best I’ve seen.  Undersheriff Matt Rhodes & Ryan Parker - played by CurvyElephant Known as ‘petty and thorough’ by the criminals of Los Santos, Matt Rhodes is eminently capable at his job but is a bit less capable when it comes to dealing with his family life; whether it’s forgetting his anniversary with his husband Richard or being a bit emotionally stunted when dealing with their adopted sons Cody and Flop. CurvyElephant’s other main character is Ryan Parker - a car thief, mechanic, farmer, and pizzeria worker who is working a heap of jobs to pay off a small loan he took (of a million dollars) to buy his dream car. Recently divorced from his long-term husband Reed, a member of the Lost MC, Ryan still maintains close ties to the motorcycle gang. Corporal Tessa Lamb - played by Nakkida Tessa runs the driving school in the city of Los Santos. A Ranger, she is an animal lover and is very knowledgeable about the local wildlife found in San Andreas. Tessa is widely respected across the city as she always rises to the challenge in front of her. Though she is known for her gentle manner and skills in de-escalation, when faced with animal cruelty, people threatening her loved ones, or men asking her out on dates? She can be absolutely ruthless.  Barry Benson - played by BazzaGazza Barry is the Vice Prime Minister of the Bondi Boys & Babes Motorclub (or the BBMC). Alongside his husband, Irwin Dundee (played by Whippy), he leads the BBMC in their ongoing criminal antics. Barry is an adrenaline junkie, a loving father, an exasperated husband, and a proud leader. He’s also incredibly forgetful, a bit ridiculous, and a skilled driver and shooter. The Australian combines hilarious comedic timing with consequence driven roleplay.  Yuno Sykk - played by Sykkuno Sometimes known as ‘Cheatcode’ Yuno is one of the best hackers in the city. Kind hearted and soft spoken, Yuno has a penchant for causing a bit of chaos by stirring the pot. Yuno is a member of the Cleanbois - a criminal organisation known for wild bank heists and business enterprises. Yuno tries to be friends with absolutely everyone he meets, and it often gets him into trouble.

You know what we don’t see enough of in modern comics? Doctor Doom being a dad.

I mean, putting aside the fact that he already has kids (Kristoff and Victorious, and also he got his girlfriend pregnant right after Civil War II) and the fact that he’s basically the Storm-Richards children’s third godfather, he knows that that insufferable Reed Richards is a father who, while not great, at least makes an effort to be a better parent for his children. And anything that Reed does, Doom must surpass him.

So like. You cannot tell me that Victor von Dad would not be the most hilarious parent to a small child. He would hire experts on parenting (and then murder them), read books on parenting (and then throw them in the shredder), and basically go out and internalize every single thing about parenting that is currently known. And then just. Not turn down his bombast even slightly.

Tony being jealous of Justin’s attention on Doom is HILARIOUS

You're laughing.

Tony has been moping for like a week straight, and unintentionally showing just how not-straight he is to everyone around him because he hasn't shut up about "what does he have that I don't?" ever since Justin cancelled on him to spend time with Victor, and you're laughing.

...okay but seriously, yeah, it's entertaining as heck for anyone not personally invested.

Clint and Natasha have taken to sitting back and splitting a bag of popcorn when Tony gets going, partly because of the faces Tony makes, and partly because of how clumsily Bruce and Thor try to make him feel better— despite having drastically different ideas of why he's so moody.

Everything Bruce has said gives the impression that he thought those two were exes-now-rivals-but-it's-Complicated™, whereas Thor's sympathy about brothers who do things you can't understand is also very appreciated.

...Steve, meanwhile, seems to have bluescreened when Tony mentioned being bi and is still rebooting while trying to process that, and has taken to trawling through several decades' worth of trashy magazine articles because everyone thought Justin was straight but now thanks to this latest reveal, that might not have been the case?

It doesn't help that while Justin's fairly reserved, Tony tends to be physically affectionate with those he knows and likes and Justin tolerates the odd clap to the shoulder and side-hug with an amused look. Add to that the constant background speculation Justin's had to deal with, since he's all of two years older than Tony yet has not once expressed romantic interest in anyone, regardless of gender, and, well...

This latest revelation throws his and Tony's dynamic in a very different light, and now Steve's been grappling with why he's been feeling weird whenever Tony starts looking sad again?

Guys, a little help here? Please?

...aka yeah, this is the AU where some offhand comments may or may not have ended up giving Captain America a sexuality crisis, even as Tony's actual childhood-friend-and-nothing-more-complicated-than-that shows up and ends up clearing the air.

James Rhodes is the one who has to give them the "queerplatonic relationships" talk, because it's the best way he can explain the really weird and hard-to-define dynamic Justin and Tony have.

How their rivalry worked, and some of the rules of engagement he's picked up on over the years. How those two could be at each other's throats one minute, and the next Justin'd ask if Tony'd had lunch yet. The way they fiercely competed in the stock market [and everywhere else, for that matter], and the frankly ridiculous amounts of money Justin put into searching for Tony when he went missing in Afghanistan because, in his words, "can't win if there's nobody to compete against."

No, their dynamic still doesn't make sense to anyone else, but... they can kinda see it now? Maybe, if they squint?

At least, nobody's calling them exes anymore, that's something.

To add insult to injury, however, the entire debacle kinda ends up being a moot point when Victor von Doom loudly proclaims one of his classmates in grad school to be his one and only rival not long afterwards.

Tony doesn't know who this Richards guy is, but he is thankful he exists because whew, now the world makes sense again! Justin was his rival, now von Doom had his own and wouldn't try to steal his!

...then he actually meets Reed Richards and is immediately thankful about who his own rival is, even as he's torn between mentally drafting a letter of sympathy for Victor, and questioning him on his taste.

Really, von Doom? That guy? Sure, he was a genius, but... eh, whatever, not his problem.

At least Tony's rival was competent.

...and then later it turns out Justin and Victor are part of the same League of Evil, and oh, okay, yeah, seems legit. Annoying, sure, but that makes much more sense than what Tony'd been afraid of.
