the fact that shakespeare was a playwright is sometimes so funny to me. just the concept of the "greatest writer of the English language" being a random 450-year-old entertainer, a 16th cent pop cultural sensation (thanks in large part to puns & dirty jokes & verbiage & a long-running appeal to commoners). and his work was made to be watched not read, but in the classroom teachers just hand us his scripts and say "that's literature"

just...imagine it's 2450 A.D. and English Lit students are regularly going into 100k debt writing postdoc theses on The Simpsons screenplays. the original animation hasn't even been preserved, it's literally just scripts and the occasional SDH subtitles.txt. they've been republished more times than the Bible

I simply read through the website's home page and its content is pretty clear and straight forward. So with that said, I'll answer your question the best I'm able. :)

In attempt to keeping my answer sweet and simple, I'll need to boil down the Satanism religion to its very basic goal and top value; "It's Really All About You". To be a true Satanist, everything you seek and do is to lift yourself up and no one else. I know that sounds harsh, but to a degree.....we all have done it or still doing it. Even me!

I bet you've heard of the Nature vs. Nurture theory. I personally view it as a solid way to break down and understand human behavior. I also can bet you can agree with me that children are naturally selfish, and when they grow into adults their "selfish" motivations somewhat subside. (Clarification; my last statement is a broad brushstroke of this particular observation of the human condition.) I'm confident that most people will the agree that human being are selfish at their core. As children, we were disciplined and praised by our parents to teach us what was right and wrong. Those tirelessly repeated lessons growing up became foundational stepping stones towards a brighter future. Well, that's what most parents hoped, and as adult we're left to make our own decisions and the ripple affect that comes after. So basically to be a devout follower of the "Church" of Satan just do the complete opposite of what a devout Christian is called to be and do for the Kingdom of God.
