#paimons decree
Text
It’s super sweet that Nahida is taking care of Scaramouche for the time being.
She really didn’t have to; because for all intents and purposes he was trying to replace her.
But I think she saw something in him that she had as well. She understands what it’s like wishing to be the god you thought you were born to be.
And I think it would be good for Scara to have a friend or at least someone to talk to.

genshin absolutely sucks at giving us a time frame for anything that happens so here’s a general timeline that i am following for kazu and the way things play out in inazuma: his father passes and he settles all of the families debts when he is 18, meeting tomo shortly after. he is 21 when the vision hunt decree is ordered ( the sakoku decree slightly precedes this, but coming from ritou, kazuha still has a generous amount of leeway in passing through there ) he is 22 when tomo and sara’s duel takes place before the shogun, and 23 when he meets the traveller / he is first seen ingame.

Sorry if you're neck deep in kiddie headcanons but it's too cute to pass up. Like we already got kings, but I need to see kiddie nobles. Mainly Hades because I'm weak. Making sure little Barbatos doesn't take off all of his clothes and throw them everywhere, having to chase down lil Glasy because he's trying to prank others into fight each other, or running around with scissors. And unintentional hide and seek with Foras because poor baby can't control his invisibility, and you're panicking because you think you lost him but in reality he's with you the entire time...maybe have to put a bell on him to know where he is.
AHHH THIS! I love it so much! The little ones from Hades are so chaotic and completely unintentional (apart from Glasyal, he is very intentional). But I bet Levi is a great father, after all, the whole country treats him like one.
The big brain of yours is truly amazing, from today I'm starting a kindergarten, goodbye romance interests, you are too cute as children- Just look at them!
Gehenna
All the little ones have gathered of their own in the living room, where Satan sits cross-legged in the middle of the fluffy carpet and fights with them. He's dishing out punches one after the other. Strong enough to push the kids away, but not to actually hurt them. You don't think he's ever had so much fun with his nobles! He decreed that he would be the evil king one who kidnapped the Descendant of Solomon, and now you sit on his lap while he fends off the little nobles.
Leraye and Paimon excel at scheming, having the most fun when they manage to hang onto Satan's biceps, and he tries to shake them off. Belial was smarter. He taught Jiyu how to make paper bullets and shot Satan with a slingshot, but all the bullets got stuck in his fluffy hair, so you pulled them out regularly.
Sitri is not so bold. At first, he sat huddled in the corner of the room, covering his ears with his hands. You made an exception for him and took him on your lap. The noise suddenly stops bothering him as he cuddles into your chest and leers smugly at the others. Little smartass.
The kids launching an attack quickly get tired. Only when they were scattered on the couches, snoring loudly, did Astaroth pull Zagan towards you. He put markers in your hands and demanded you to draw (or pet his little snake, as you wish). Of course, you didn't resist them, although instead of using a piece of paper, you started drawing on Satan's cheek. This couldn't end well, right? You were pinned to the floor. Who knows what happened next, because Astaroth covered Zagan's eyes, and Satan immediately threw you over his shoulder and took you to the bedroom. Kids had theit fun, now time for you.
Tartaros
You have never met such sweet and problem-free children in your life. You can take them wherever you want, to the palace, for a walk, shopping, they will always come back to you and won't go crazy like some do. Just shower them with love. Especially Eligos, who would like to stick to you and not move, just purring when you pet him and kiss him. He wrapped himself in all the ribbons he had - you had to help him with that so he wouldn't choke or trip - and now he's running from devil to devil because everyone wants to pet him. He is the total center of attention.
Bimet would love to count money, but he is so small that he doesn't really know how to count, so you have some piggy banks with you. He usually gets lost halfway through, but you managed to convince him that this means they are just bottomless and that he is infinitely rich. At first, he didn't trust you (or rather he looked at you in happy shock, because devils cannot doubt), but since Mammon supported you, he has no questions. Especially since the king gave him a basket in which to collect his own wealth, so he follows Eligos to the devils and demands payment for petting him.
Valefor is like an older brother who takes care of them, and it is mainly thanks to him that your walk is so peaceful and pleasant. If Eli flies too far, he will bring him back by the hand. If he falls, he will pet him, calm him down and bring you to kiss his scratched leg so that it doesn't hurt. If Bimet loses a gem or two from his basket, he will show him to pick it up. He keeps turning to you and Mammon to make sure you haven't gone too far. When you praised him for being as brave and responsible as his king, he grew happy and took even better care of the boys. Mammon is really proud of them, and you can see it in his smile. You are too.
Hades
You’re left alone when the king is occupied with work. Do you think it won't be easy? You're absolutely right. Of the three in your care, Glasyal is the nicest. And it's not because he wants to, he's just having fun as he follows you around and watches you struggle with the other two.
Even though Foras is invisible, Barbatos also constantly disappears from your sight. Look for windows where he can bask in the sun. Of course, the fewer clothes he wears, the more fun he got. Once you put him in a corset so he couldn't untangle himself, but Glasyal came with scissors. They almost gouged out their eyes. It was only when you put him in Leviathan's clothes that he stopped shedding them so much and instead cuddled up to them.
Foras is a problem because he isn’t. Literally. You can't see him, amen. He doesn't do it on purpose, but he has no control over his power. Will he be scared? Disappears. Sneezes? Disappears. Will he quarrel with Glasyal? Disappears. Glasyal especially liked the third one, and it brought the little pink devil to tears.
You were getting exhausted, but then the nooses around the kids' necks twitched like leashes being pulled by their owner. The father is coming.
"Enough. Be good." He will admonish them, but with a little smile wandering his lips. All the children will crawl towards him with complete adoration. This time they will hang in the air, not on nooses, but one by one having the honor of being held in their father's arms. Just take those scissors from Glasyal, really.
Avisos
Even though you expected this to be the most chaotic experience of your life, it wasn't that bad at all.
One child drops out because he sleeps. Bael, of course. When you picked him up from the desk, he's been sleeping for about four hours now, snoring loudly and nothing can wake him up. And you tried. Especially Amon, who first poked Bael in the cheek and waited for him to react, but when nothing happened, he just curled up next to him, because why not?, and went to sleep together.
You went to the bathroom for a moment and when you came back, Nabe was also lying in a pile. Also dragged to sleep by Amon, as you saw them holding hands. Stolas was the only one left, so you brought him, however, was a bit more reluctant and really wanted to go to Bathin, so you had to convince him. You took three chairs and threw a blanket over them to build him a fort, and in that fort, a nest. Only then did he settle down there contently.
Of course, Amon didn't miss anything, because he's conscious when he sleeps. He got out of bed and crawled to Stolas' nest. It looked (and was!) much more comfy. Stolas first shouted at him and tried to kick him out, but Amon lay there like a log. This little bird finally got tired and fell asleep too. You put all four of them in the fort, climbed in, grabbed a book and let them cuddle.
Beelzebub, who felt that something was wrong and decided to check on you, burst out laughing when he saw you with the kids. You dragged him along as punishment. Of course, he had priority over you. You laid on Beel and the kids clinged to both of you. When he saw them like this, it brought back memories. You'll learn a little about how he met each of the nobles and what his own childhood was like, as he tell stories and pet each child he talks about.

fourth genshin brainrot this month,,
IMAGINE being one of the many servants of the tsaritsa, but you remember your past life, one where the world you were in was a game.
you had planned of resignating from your job, but with being acquaintances with most of the harbingers, you know they'll probably search for and kill you if you resign, and maybe the fact that you're an orphan teenager would make it easier for them to get rid of you.
so packing your necessities and clothing, you resigned the same day you ran away and gained an anemo vision, deciding to travel around teyvat while avoiding shneznaya as if it was the plague.
you became a frequent traveler on beidou's ship, a pirate that you soon grew close with, as you told her tales that you grew up hearing about in shneznaya.
by some extent, you also became acquainted with kazuha, the inazuman refugee that became a criminal for being against the raiden shogun's vision hunt decree.
of course, with some mora left on you not being enough to last for more than two months, you decided to become a tailor/seamstress, designing clothes to sell them to any buyer.
and as obvious as it is, your clothing and designs' values sky rocketed in liyue first, as daughters from high society loved how your clothing was not only diverse, but also were lightweight and comfortable!
words of your clothing reached far and wide, making even more people want to see your designs, which meant more mora for you! you happily complied, even starting to take personal commisions for multiple noblemen and noblewomen.
one of your most frequent commisioners were the kamisato family from inazuma, because the head of the kamisato family's younger sister, ayaka, took interest of the new rising star of the fashion industry, which was you.
your most recent stop to travel on foot was to mondstadt, as you were getting rather tired of looking at the seemingly endless bodies of water.
while gathering mushrooms, vegetables and various fruits in mondstadt's wilderness, you found the traveler and their companion, paimon.
although you wanted to do nothing with the story, you took pity on the mc, and decided to help them.
of course, by association with the traveler, you were bound to meet at least one or two of the harbingers, as you were able to avoid rosalyn by staying at the cathedral for longer.
but your "reunion" with scaramouche was anything but nice, as you were caught off guard because of his eyes softening at the sight of you after the man's initial shock. it confused you.
the story and the character's are changing, but why? why is it changing?

I set the poll for too long, so anyways,
SAGAU ARCHON HEADCANONS!
I am a minor, don’t be weird
For those not in the know: Sagau means self aware Genshin au!
Gonna test out some formatting with this one, so yeah!
Nahida’s is strictly platonic, while the other archons are up to interpretation!
4.2 archon/story quest spoilers
VENTI
Tumblr media
For Venti I think he’d be one of the more chill archons. He’d always try to be by your side, but would give you space if need-be. He obviously wouldn’t want to out his secret as the archon, so the people of Monstadt assume you just like his songs, or pity the bard for his lack of money.
Venti wouldn’t be mad if you outed him as an archon, he’d understand that the creator’s will is far more important than his wishes, but he’d still be disappointed.
Venti would almost immediately recognize you as the creator even if you were trying to stay hidden. After all, it’d be embarrassing if one of the original seven didn’t recognize you.
He’d always try to write you into his songs after you arrive in teyvat. He’d stop if you asked, but If you say nothing he’ll just keep going.
ZHONGLI
Tumblr media
Zhongli, being one of the oldest, if not the oldest still living god on teyvat. Because of this, he, like the tone deaf bard, recognizes you immediately.
He is very reverent and respectful towards you after so long, but he does loosen up over time.
Zhongli would come out of retirement immediately (much to Liyue’s shock and surprise) as to properly serve your every need.
Zhongli can be a bit overbearing but will back off if asked.
Zhongli respects you as the people of Liyue respect him. If you vanish for even a few hours without giving him a heads up he will send out a search party. You’re too important to be out on your own.
RAIDEN EI/SHOGUN
Tumblr media
Arriving in Inazuma you are able to lay low for awhile, before an accident reveals your golden blood. The tenryou commission is immediately alerted and drags you straight to the almighty shogun whether you like it or not.
Ei is incredibly overbearing, refusing to let you go anywhere without the shogun or at least ten people to protect you. She doesn’t mean to be controlling, she just doesn’t want to lose you like she lost makato.
If you were to arrive during the vision hunt decree she would either become way more strict, or completely end it depending on your reaction.
While making the shogun Ei programmed her to follow whatever you say, since you’re the almighty creator, you must know the way eternity is heading.
NAHIDA (PLATONIC)
Tumblr media
Nahida and you likely meet by chance while you two are on a walk around sumeru city. Nahida probably assumes you’re a human, because having been locked up for 500 years she doesn’t have enough experience with gods to be able to tell one apart from a human.
So you probably end up telling her on one of your chance meeting, because as an archon, she should probably know. Nahida doesn’t make such a big deal about it, on the condition that you tell her what you know about teyvat AND earth. Of course the god of knowledge would try to learn as much as possible.
You two probably have sleepovers (which nahida drags Scaramouche into) after you tell her. At said sleepovers you two likely trade knowledge back and forth. (Scaramouche would likely butt in with facts about inazuma’s fucked up flora)
FURINA (IDC SHE’S NOT THE ARCHON, SHE’S AN ARCHON IN MY HEART) and Neuvillette
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Furina, as a human, doesn’t realize you’re the creator until you tell her that you know she’s a human. She swears you to secrecy and you agree for the sake of Fontaine, she confides in you about her struggles, and you promise to make it up to her once everything is done.
Neuvillette recognizes you immediately and asks you about what’s up with Furina, you obviously don’t tell him, and he accepts that.
After the prophecy you and neuvillette, and Furina hang out on occasion, because the two likely wouldn’t speak often without you.
Also you smack the shit out of the traveler and paimon during Furina’s story quest because they deserve it <3

Weird Update (SAGAU x Reader) Note: It’s February, finally. It’s my allergy season. Also my internship started this month. It will take a while for me to tackle my inbox so please, be kind with me. Post Note: Pain is having to look back at your old writings because you forgot your tag list :D
Warnings: Cyber attack mention (not against reader)  <Masterlist 1> — <Masterlist 2>
Tumblr media
“Still unavailable”
You glared at the display on your screen. It was the loading screen door but it was hidden behind a red filter (the same one you see when all your characters die in battle) that says ‘Game Still unavailable’ together with a timer that says ‘--:--:--:--’. Guess more rest for your device and more time for you to play or consume other media. Recently, there has been an influx of spammers and hackers entering the game and it is causing most of the players to close their world join requests. Hoyolab comments are spammed with ‘free freemogems’ and some even lost their account.
You’re one of the smart players to have their accounts secured and immediately kicks off weird players but it seems like the company itself had enough. With the leaker hunt decree and the amount of spammers and scammers, it seems that the only solution is to lock the game and weed out the bad accounts one by one. 15 hours later, the game is still on lockdown. You hope to get at least a nice amount of primogems to get the characters that you want for the next banner.
You stood up and about to leave your device when you noticed the movement on the screen. The game is now back to the original starting screen like the long lockdown didn’t happen. You entered the game without thinking much and you were greeted by your main standing in front of the Windrise Tree…except it was more…alive?
There are birds perching at the top of the branches, the researcher that used to just wander under the tree seemed to be taking a break on top of one of the tree’s roots, the water on the small river seemed to be more realistic, and you swear you just saw Godwin passed by while kicking a rock. And the pov that is normally in third person is now in first person. Was the lockdown…an update?
You went to check the notes left by the developers but there’s nothing new aside from the upcoming banners. A part of you is worried that this weird update might eat your device’s battery fast but the other part of yourself that beckons you to explore the changes immediately was bigger. You teleport your main to the city of Mondstadt and immediately fly up to Venti’s statue. The view of the night sky looks more awake with the stars above twinkling, maybe it’s a good time for a wish?
You changed the time setting, made your character sit down on the statue (which is weird but also awesome to see because it’s now in first person) and opened the wish banner. You contemplated on wishing on the event banner but the next banner is really the character that you want so you went towards the permanent banner instead.
Deep breath. Fingers crossed. Eyes closed. You made a wish.
..
..
..
..
“WAIT?! WHAT THE HELLL”
The ground collapsed from below and you found yourself falling. Nor really falling, more like being directed to a certain direction but you’re in the air and have no control of your body. You found yourself falling from a great height surrounded by bright golden light. What happened to your home and where are you falling? All that you remember was tapping and making a wish-
Making a wish. It’s impossible right? You didn’t accidentally isekai-d yourself a wish right? You let out a scream as the ground started getting closer. Having no control, you just closed your eyes and hoped for the best and the ground didn’t hit. “Did you know how many wishes it took for me to have you?”
You found yourself being placed down on the statue’s hand and eyes to eyes with the traveler. “Now that you’re here, Paimon thinks it’s time for real adventure!”

Tumblr media
three knocks.
“sergeant?”
“hm? yes, ekaterina? come in.”
the secretary steps up to your desk, where you sit pitifully, head resting on your hands. it’s been some months since osial’s attack and you’ve mysteriously remained stationed at liyue, not that you mind, of course. the traveler and paimon have long since been on their way to inazuma and, according to news you heard from all around, seem like they successfully solved the crises surrounding the electro archon and the vision hunt decree. not only has there been word on the streets of their feats but you’ve also noticed a noticeable increase in inazuman immigrants by the harbor.
but- back to the matter at hand, today you find yourself incredibly more fatigued than usual, perhaps due to your struggles with getting even a good wink of sleep the night before. the sunlight creeping through the windows seems to sting your eyes harsher than normal for early morning but you still try your best to open them and read the letter ekaterina has just placed in front of you.
noticing the strain in your efforts to, well, be awake at the moment, ekaterina clears her throat.
“it’s a mandate from the doctor himself.”
now that gets you up, though not in a good way. the sheer reminder of that man’s existence is enough to shoot an icy burn into your spine, one that makes you flinch into full consciousness.
skimming more effectively through the lines, you find that the mandate talks about a ruin guard research lab here in liyue under his guise, obviously, that he is requiring you to briefly oversee in his absence. not as bad as you thought but also not entirely good. the doctor has never presently explained his affinity for ruin guard robotics to you- because truly, why would he? but it’s no less than apparent how big his interest in them is, in your experience.
with a long, heavy sigh, you nod.
“i see. thank you, ekaterina, you may go.”
she bows politely and turns to leave while you reread the letter to gather the full details of the research lab. once ekaterina is by the door to your office, you take note of the sound of as her heels stop abruptly as she yelps in surprise, muttering a small ‘hello, master childe’ and carrying on her way. the next moment, they very devil she spoke of is bursting into the room.
“good morning, doc!” he chirps with surprising energy for how early it is and places a closed cup on your desk.
“here! i got you some coffee, thought it might help wake you up.”
“thanks a lot… wait, how did you know i was tired-“
“and with that act of courtesy, i would like to propose my own favor to be granted by yours truly. and that is for us to sp-“
“childe, i cannot spar with you today.”
with that, the harbinger slumps into himself like a fussing child, ironic, and groans softly. he’s about to try his very persuasive best to convince you anyway when he spots the letter in your hands and raises an eyebrow curiously.
“what’s that?”
you sigh again, pinching the bridge of your nose. “a mandate from dottore asking me to check up on one of his ruin guard research facilities, here in liyue.”
childe seems to empathize with your disdain for the request and scoffs, mumbling about ‘that lunatic and his little toy robots…’.
“hm, well i wish you luck with that. i’ve also got myself some less than stellar debts to collect today, might as well busy myself somehow even if ekaterina thinks i shouldn’t.”
“good luck with that too.”
childe turns to leave, slightly less chipper than he was when he walked in, until he stops by the door to turn around. “you’re still owing me a spar for that coffee!”
“whatever!”
grassy mountains, building ruins, ginkgo trees- minlin was just like any other area of liyue, though you’d never steal any merit from the relaxing scenery of the entire region. every new place you visited took your breath away with its beauty all the same.
it’s become an unspoken habit to deal with ruin guards at this point and you knew their patterned behaviors and limits like no other, maybe only the doctor himself. several of them sat inactivated in the ruins around you, as expected, and you took note of each one for your report diligently. as you’re approaching the entrance of the lab itself, you spot another ruin guard sat against a crumbled tower- except it was not the only thing there, there were people too. it’s not hard to decipher that it turns out to be the traveler and paimon and… someone else.
wait… surely it’s not him.
“teucer?”
all three of them immediately turn around, except teucer lights up at the sight of you and jumps from his crouching position to run at you with full speed. despite being perplexed at his presence, you still kneel to welcome him with open arms.
“big sibling y/n!! you’re here!!” he yells out, elated.
you chuckle fondly and stand up with teucer clung onto your torso.
“it’s good to see you too, teuce’, but… what in the heavens are you doing all the way here?”
looking over teucer’s shoulder, you turn to the other two, who look just as confused about the entire situation as you do.
“and you two as well, weren’t you supposed to be in inazuma still?”
“mm-yeah, we were taking a bit of a break! we’re on our way to sumeru next and liyue’s the shortest way there so… might as well take some leisurely time off.”
paimon elaborates, until she and the traveler share a look and the two of them sigh.
“unfortunately, the millelith asked us to check out these rui- ahem, i mean mr. cyclops showing up around this area. and as we were doing that, we ran into teucer over here!”
you breathe out a laugh, pitying the pair’s lack of… well- time to take a break without any tasks given to them. ‘talk about leisurely…’ you mutter, quiet enough so teucer doesn’t hear. speaking of him…
“that still doesn’t explain how you were here at all, mister.” you poke the boy’s side with the hand that isn’t holding him up against you and he giggles uncontrollably, attempting to dodge your finger.
“ahahahahah! s-stop! hahah… i’m here to see big brother at the institute for toy research! you work there too, right?”
what.
oh- is that what he thinks childe does? dear gods, that’s too funny. however you do understand why childe would lie about your jobs, you think you’d do much the same. still it takes everything within you to not burst out laughing at the revelation, even the traveler seems to notice so, somewhat understanding the reason but also somewhat not. you huff out a breath to calm the urge to cackle and turn to the two once again.
“listen, you guys don’t need to worry about this one anymore, i’ll take care of him. oh! and don’t worry about the- err, mr cyclops replicas, i’ll sort them out too. go take your break, you deserve it.”
“but- they’re my friends! they like toys like i do! a-and they made the pinky promise!” teucer retaliates.
gods damn the snezhnayan pinky swear.
“plus, he did give us this big bag of mora to take care of him…” paimon eyes the traveler, who returns the glance with a nod as if they’re silently communicating.
“and yeah- we’d much rather go see this ‘toy institute’ than deal with mr. cyclops right now.”
you nod in agreement and gesture for all of you to head back to the harbor, partially to avoid seeing the millelith soldiers patrolling the area.
“so- just out of curiosity, teuce’, what exactly did your brother say about me working with toys?”
“he said you’re a toy doctor! you take care of the toys who get hurt or sick.”
“yeah, that checks out.”
arriving back at northland bank, the first thing you spot is childe and ekaterina discussing something at the center of the room, oblivious to your presence for the moment. that is, until teucer bursts from your tired arms to run to his older brother.
paimon, somehow, remains oblivious enough to what is right in front of her enough to whisper. “huh? what’s he doing here…”
“yay, my brother! i found you!” exclaims teucer and childe immediately perks up, ceasing any doubts that paimon might’ve had.
“i know that voice… why, if it isn’t my little brother teucer! my goodness!”
the harbinger takes his younger brother into his arms, much like you did before, except he wraps him in a nearly bone crushing hug before setting him back down.
“haha.. what a nice surprise, teucer! i thought i would have to wait till i return home before seeing you again. how are the others, tonia and anthon? is everybody keeping well?”
“they miss you a lot! tonia prays for you every day at dinner.” it seems that only after teucer’s response is when the realization of the sheer absurdity that is teucer’s presence sets within childe, his face morphing into confusion.
“wait a second… what are you doing here in liyue, teucer? how have i not heard anything about this?”
that entire interaction, you remained merely watching from behind with an irrepressible fond smile on your face- you were so lost in their reunion that you almost miss the incredulous glare childe throws to you, like he’s silently asking if you had anything to do with this. you jump slightly once noticing it and quickly shrug, shaking your head to signify that you’re just as clueless as him.
“well, what happened was- i saw a boat that looked like it was selling toys, so obviously i thought you were on board. and then when i got off i just kept walking and walking… and then, i found a mr. cyclops!”
unbelievable.
“mr cyclops scared off a bad guy, and then i found this nice lady and-and then y/n found us! so we came looking for you.”
childe seems to have another moment of realization, where another fleeting glance comes your way and he sighs, facing off to the side to mouth to himself ‘of course, the research lab…’.
“teucer…” he starts off and you seem to understand what he’s about to say right away, leaving teucer’s side to be right in front of him, beside childe. you kneel to teucer’s height and hold out your hands for him to hold, to make him feel less like he’s being scolded. his tiny hands are dwarfed by yours in a way that makes your heart swell.
“…teuce’, what you did was really dangerous. we’re both happy to see you, really, but please promise you won’t do anything like this ever again.”
childe nods in agreement and teucer sighs, letting go of your hands to put them behind his back sheepishly.
“okay, i promise… please don’t be mad at me.”
“we’re not mad at you. we just care about your safety, that’s all.” childe reassures.
“if you hadn’t met these nice people, and even more if y/n hadn’t found you, things could’ve been a lot more dangerous for you, teucer. i hope you said a big thank-you to all of them?”
“yep! i always remember my please’s and thank-you’s!
“oohh so you did notice we were here… you were just ignoring us, gotcha.” paimon adds sarcastically as she and the traveler look at childe through a sassy glare.
“haha… forgive me, it’s always family first where i’m from. don’t take it personally. i know we’ve had our differences up to now but.. a few minor quibbles aside, we get on quite well, don’t you think?”
the traveler’s incredulous reaction tells you that perhaps teucer shouldn’t listen to the conversation while they sort out their, erm, quibbles- so you gently take him by the hand and lead him off ever so slightly to the side, where you know he’ll be at least distracted enough to not listen. kneeling down, you once again take his impossibly adorable hands into yours and fiddle with them playfully, he only grins in oblivious amusement.
“so, teuce’, tell me more- how’re things back home? you’re not too bored without us there, are you?”
“mm-no, i’m just fine! anthon still plays with me a bunch and tonia always reads me the letters big brother sends us, she always tells such cool stories!”
“yeah? like what?”
the young boy thinks for a moment, rubbing his chin like he’s mentally paging through the deepest, most riveting tales he can recall.
“hmm.. oh! one time she told me the story of how big brother discovered a new version of mr. cyclops! he’s bigger and.. and stronger and he’s got huge horns, like a deer! he’s like mr. cyclops' big brother.”
well, at least childe is keeping his lies somewhat accurate. but the way teucer beams and hops excitedly as he talks about the bigger mr. cyclops, or a ruin grader as you know it, seems to justify keeping him in the dark. the way his big blue eyes shine with wonder is in itself a treasure worth protecting. you’ve practically long forgotten that you’re supposed to be stalling out a conversation to distract him.
“that’s so awesome, teucer!” you grin back at him. “what other stories does your brother tell?”
“hm..- oh yeah! he also talks about you in his letters.”
oh?
“does he?” you’re unsure if you should feel good or bad about the revelation, gods know what childe says to his siblings about you.
“yeah he does! he talks about how you take such good care of the toys when they get hurt and how smart you are and how…”
suddenly, teucer trails off as he turns to the trio still conversing near you, like he’s heard something that’s caught his attention. he entirely abandons the sentence he’d left unfinished to join their side again and you find yourself feeling the smidgenmost bit disappointed that he didn’t finish speaking. you only sigh to yourself and smooth your clothes down from the crouching position you were in, joining back in as well.
“that’s right, my brother’s the greatest! he’s mr. cyclops’ bestest friend!”
childe chuckles in somewhat faux delight, to satisfy teucer and make it seem like he approves of his brother’s message, before leaning over to the traveler and whisper, as you hear it,- ‘just humor me in front of teucer, if you’d be so kind…’
“ahem- ah yes! ekaterina, i will deal with the issue of the outstanding payment right away.”
“hey! slinking off, are we?” paimon accuses.
“but, master childe, would it not be improper to ask you to deal with… debt collection?”
“a bet is a bet, isn’t it? and if you lose a bet with an agent.. well, you might as well get some exercise out of it.”
“are you going off to sell toys now?” teucer interjects, partially with admiration for his brother and partially with disappointment that he has to leave.
“that’s right. as much as i’d like to catch up a little longer, teucer, duty calls! i’m sure y/n and ms. nice lady will keep you company while i’m out, though.”
childe implies with a pleading glance thrown to you and the traveler. you nod gladly while the traveler puts her hand to her forehead momentarily and paimon mumbles a complaint about having to babysit for childe.
“sure!” teucer confirms as well. “i really like y/n and this lady already! and anyway, the nice lady made a pinky promise to take good care of me.”
the harbinger ends up leaving the four of you with a hefty bag of mora to spend out in the city while he’s working and you firstly decide to take him to an elderly lady’s kite shop. she patiently explains how to use the kites and teucer asks for a mr. cyclops shaped kite, because why wouldn’t he- you manage to convince the lady to make a custom build for it with a shining pile of mora. next, you take him to wanmin restaurant, where chef mao graciously offers to make a special dish for teucer, who can’t eat spicy food. you don’t blame him, personally- snezhnayan dishes tend to steer away from spice specifically and lean more towards warm, filling meals to endure the cold temperatures. however, the food teucer asks for turns out sickeningly sweet and even paimon, the awarded food enthusiast, feels nauseated at the end. finally, he asks you to give the wharf a better look than when he was stepping off his boat. paimon proceeds to give a mouthful of an explanation about liyue’s trade port, which ends up too confusing for teucer to even care. instead, his attention is caught by a ship anchor left in the wharf.
“teucer, don’t run off!” you urge as he takes off to see the anchor.
“that metal hook is huge! and it gets bigger the closer we get!”
“this is an anchor. docked ships use it to hold themselves in position, to stop wind and waves from blowing them away.” paimon explains.
“hmm, an anchor… got it. but i think i might get it mixed up with commodore hook.”
“commodore hook..? is that another one of your weird toy names?”
“my brother always sends me a really big toy for my birthday- commodore hook, blacksteel jack, iron tony… we keep them all in your backyard!”
“are they as big as the anchor?” the traveler asks.
“yeah, and that’s why i can’t bring them with me all the time. it’s a shame…”
you choke on your breath at a realization. “i-is that what your father was keeping under a tarp in the backyard..?”
teucer nods cluelessly. you’ve seen tarped objects behind childe’s family house that had some absurd silhouettes hidden by the protective fabric and the snow, but you’ve only ever assumed they were left over building materials- not gigantic fucking robots because why would you ever assume that’s what he’d send a child for his birthday. you’ll have to have a talk with him about gift giving at a later time.
“but my favorite is mr. cyclops. even though i mostly came here to see my brother, the other big thing i wanted to do was play with mr. cyclops! oh- are they selling fish over there, let’s have a look!”
and just like that, teucer is gone again. paimon stomps her foot in the air as she heaves frustratedly.
“quit! running! off!”
you briefly go to see the fish on display as teucer tells you of the time when childe caught him an impossibly large fish just because he asked for it. somewhere in the back of your head, you find it endearing that childe has kept up the habit of fishing just like when his father would take you on his trips to ice fish as well. maybe you could get him to go fishing in liyue, just the two of you when you have some free ti- wait, what are you saying? you’re supposed to be watching out for teucer, who conveniently has gone off to see the boats and seems to have his entire good mood flipped around.
“teuce’, you look upset, what’s wrong? are you tired?” you coo.
he sighs melancholically and covers his face behind his hands. “i miss my brother…”
“what? but we were just with him!” argues paimon.
“yea, but for such a short time that it doesn’t even count! take me to see my brother, i don’t wanna play anymore!”
you sigh and look to the other designated babysitters. they look back with defeated shrugs- seems like you’ve done what you can to entertain him for the moment. turning back to teucer, you offer to carry him in your hold as you leave for qingxu pool, where childe said he would be, and he gladly accepts. from behind you, a low gurgle can be heard.
“urgh… paimon may never recover from that dish.”

Left Behind
Kaedehara Kazuha x reader
TW’s: mention of death, spoilers for the Inazuma Archon Quest
Word count: 520+
A/N: Kazuha’s friend is called Tomo, and I’m so sorry for this
Good luck to anyone wishing for Kazuha and Alhaitham!
Tumblr media
He saw the Traveler reappear from wherever they had been sent to by the Shogun, he saw the Shogun pose in what seemed to be defeat, he saw Gorou and his men congratulate the Traveler on their hard-earnes victory, yet his mind was on one thing.
You.
So he ran. He ran past Gorou and his men, past the Traveler and Paimon, down the stairs from Tenshukaku. He brushed past the shogunate, didn’t stop at the stares of Inazumans, and he didn’t care that he knocked down some poor bystander.
He needed to see you. He needed to right the wrongs he did when he left Inazuma and he needed to do it or else he felt like he was going to die.
He soon made it out of Inazuma City but he didn’t seem to notice. His mind plagued with memories.
How he first met you after you accidentally threw a ball in his house’s window when you two were children. How he finally asked you out after years of being “best friends”. How he kissed you for the first time after you two had play-fought near the ocean.
He also remembers when the decrees hit. The look of pure horror on your face when he told you he was leaving Inazuma. The way tears flowed down your cheeks like waterfalls as he turned and left. In fact, that was the last image that he had of you stored in his mind.
Kazuha panted heavily as he slowed to a stop as he crossed over a familiar stone bridge. He looked around for a sign, any sign that you were still here. He let out a shaky breath when he noticed your house, the familiar pot that you made stood right outside the front door.
He walked fast as he walked up the short stairs to your house’s door, taking a breath before knocking on the door. He waited for what seemed like eternity before he heard the door open. He looked up, he was going to see you. For the first time in forever he was going to see-
He blinked as he saw an unfamiliar female open the door with a confused look on her face. Her mahogany eyes met Kazuha’s face as she tilted her head in question.
“Do you need anything?”
Kazuha opened his mouth as his mind went blank. He quickly shook his head before answering, “Does a {name} live here?”
The girl thought for a second before shaking her head, “Do you mean {name} Hitaksaki? She died a few weeks ago, why?”
Kazuha felt hinself go pale, you had died? But how…was it from grief? Illness?
Kazuha spoke shakily, “H-How did she die?”
“I’m not sure, I don’t think anyone knows really. Some Shikanoin guy has been looking into it. You could ask him if you’d like.”
“Did she leave anything? Maybe a letter or a trinket?” He was desperate now, he needed to have something, anything left of you.
“I’m sorry.”
Kazuha nodded, muttering a “thanks” as his heart sunk for a second time that day. He felt tears dripping down his cheeks as he started back for Inazuma City. He wondered..
What would’ve happened if he hadn’t have left you behind?

genshin × marvel au update huzzah
(i didn't forget it exists, it's been rotting my brain ever since i first thought of it, i was just very busy💔💔)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
made some very small changes to strange because he wasn't serving as much as i imagined he would
• tony got his vision in natlan, in case you were wondering what vision frame that is (fanmade since natlan isnt out yet hashtag impatient)
• strange is from sumeru but he got his electro vision in mondstadt ((which is why his vision has the mondstadt frame))
• chavez is from a different world like the traveler and aloy, so she has an ultra silly vision frame
genshin strangemoji as a bonus
Tumblr media
thor will come home soon also, wip for now (will add the super awesome khaenri'ah star pupils, i just forgot at the time)
Tumblr media
also semi-decided on a spiderman design, the sketch is on paper for now though
other things worth noting
○ Name changes:
-> Sufian Vaid Shuruq/Strange
-> Vanda Maximoff
-> Klea
-> Antonio Stark
-> Petyr
-> Haoyu Wong
• Petyr (spidermaaan) is an Anemo Vision Bearer from Mondstadt, he moved to Inazuma to fight against the Vision Hunt Decree
• Loki and Thor are Khaenri'ahn (Loki is also half qilin)
• Wong and Strange are both Sorcerer Supreme (sharing title and role) ((why have one when you can have two))
¤ most people from Liyue and Mondstadt only recognize Wong as Sorcerer Supreme, Inazuma has not seen the light of day so they don't know much about what a sorcerer supreme even is, and Fontaine recognizes both Strange and Wong
¤ strange travels a lot and handles things in. his own intriguing way, not very liked for that
• if i had a nickel for each doctor in sumeru that got expelled from akademiya i'd have two nickels
• if you cant tell where tonio is from, good (hes from natlan) ((his design making him seem fontainian was intentional))
• out of all these people, im afraid only america likes the traveler and paimon
• vanda stays winning and has no negative side effects from her use of the pyro delusion (for now)
¤ scarlet witch of dragonspine (no way, dragonspine mention)
thanks for read like and subscribe

Fusillade (Wanderer/f!Reader)
written for @illusory-torrent ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡ – ✧)
---
It was a favor for a friend to let the Wanderer find himself while meandering with you. Two sets of eyes are better than one, and what's lost isn't so difficult to locate if you know where to look.
AO3 Link
Wanderer/f!Reader(not the Traveler) 4,954 Words - NSFW Vaginal sex, mild breast-play, mild dacryphilia, unrequited(?) love confession, sharin' a bed-ish.
---
When first meeting the Traveler, they’d been fresh-faced and ready to face the world. Learning their story had been a shock, but not one that you weren’t welcoming toward. Mondstadt was as good a jumping-off point as any, and after a few days together you wished them luck in all their future endeavors as you parted ways.
In Liyue, they’d been a little more harrowed, a little more hardened. “A lot of things have happened since we’ve met up!” Paimon had explained in lieu of the Traveler’s own words, and you provided a sympathetic shoulder for the two to lean on as you made camp together in the countryside of the Land of Geo. And if they looked a little happier after spending some time talking and laughing with you, then that works just fine, you think.
Unfortunately, in Inazuma, the two of you were only able to cross paths briefly. With the removal of the Sakoku Decree, it meant you were allowed into the country, and they were allowed out. There’s a certain air about the two - less so Paimon - that leaves you wondering exactly what happened behind the closed borders of Inazuma.
You find out, much to your chagrin.
It isn’t until a few months have passed and you’ve meandered your way to Sumeru that you once more meet your good friends - ones you’ve sorely missed. Of course, another catastrophe was narrowly avoided thanks to their intervention, and Paimon was more than pleased to fill in the gaps while you shared a lunch with the two of them at some cafe you can’t quite pronounce the name of.
In the middle of laughter at something Paimon has said, a shadow casts over the table - similar to an umbrella blocking out the sun. It’s not quite so, rather the wide brim of an ornate hat as a figure approaches the three of you with a carefully neutral expression. First he looks at the Traveler, then briefly at Paimon, before looking to you.
Before you can even think about introducing yourself, his interest turns back to the Traveler. “Lesser Lord Kusanali sent me to fetch you. Something has come up.”
“Is it urgent?” You know the Traveler is asking only because this means the two of you will part ways once again. Violet eyes dart to you, tensing for just a moment as a thought seems to cross his mind. The neutrality cracks only a little, and he almost looks interested in your presence. It must be an enigma, that you’d be important enough for the Traveler to put off meeting with the Dendro Archon for a little while longer.
The male moves, placing one hand on his hip as he gives the Traveler an slightly admonishing look. “Maybe I should have been more specific. Something’s come up about that important information you’ve been wandering all over for? Surely that’s not something you want to put off more than necessary. Even for a… friend.”
With a jerk of his chin, he emphasizes that you are the Traveler’s friend in question. Obvious enough, but if he feels the need to make things clear, then who are you to tell him it’s unnecessary?
After a moment of deliberation, and an apologetic expression toward you, the Traveler drops enough mora for all three meals onto the table. “Sorry, this really is important, then. Will you be around the city for a little longer? I’d like to catch up some more.”
“I’m heading out tomorrow morning, but I’ll be around the country - I’m sure you could hunt me down if you really wanted. It’s not like I hide from you.” You lean on your elbows with a grin, pleased at both the prospect of meeting your friends once more, as well as having your meal so graciously paid for.
The Traveler and Paimon leave with a wave, and the newcomer only gives you an unreadable look over his shoulder as they leave. Only when they round a corner do those eyes finally give you some peace.
---
You do end up leaving before the Traveler can seek you out again. A trip down to Port Ormos takes a few days thanks to a love of meandering, and how easily distracted you are by every little sight and sound of Sumeru. It’s a beautiful country, and you find yourself quickly enamored with it, despite the persistent heat and humidity.
After you get your fill of Port Ormos, your trip back up to the city proper is a little longer. It’s nearly a month after your first meeting with the Traveler in Sumeru that the second one comes around. Paimon is with someone named Collei, apparently, leaving you and the Traveler to sit in the grassy hilltops surrounding the city with boxes of takeout settled between you.
The conversation is easy at first, and then almost as if the entire purpose of this meeting was for something a little more heavy, the subject changes as quickly as you can blink. The Traveler has poor skills in segueing topics from one to another, it seems.
Picking at the biryani in their lap, golden eyes don’t lift to meet yours as they ask, “Do you remember that guy from last time? With the big hat?”
“He’s not easy to forget, that’s for sure. What about him?”
And then it comes tumbling out. Who he is, what he is, and the biggest puzzle piece of all - why the Traveler is bringing any of this up. “You’re staying in the country for a while longer, aren’t you? Do you think it would be possible to have him tag along with you for a while?”
And there it is. Really, you have no reason to say no, beyond simply not knowing who this guy is. But the Traveler seems to trust him, and you trust the Traveler, so logically you can trust him, right? It’s not the most sound conclusion, but it’s the only one that makes sense, so you bob your head in a nod and laugh at the way the Traveler’s shoulders seem to sag in relief.
The Traveler is leaving for the desert on an extended trip soon, and the Wanderer - Traveler’s name for him, and yours now, too - was staunchly against the idea of traipsing about in the desert despite being largely unaffected by the traits that make it harsh.
“I’d rather take a dip in a volcano,” is what he apparently told the Traveler. And while the Wanderer was interested in taking some time for himself, away from the Dendro Archon and away from all the reminders of things you haven’t been made privy to, he doesn’t want to do so in a place he hates. That’s understandable - you plan on steering clear of the desert, yourself.
And all of these situations are what lead you to this - following a well-worn road North out of Sumeru City, a silent Wanderer at your side as your steps fall into an odd sort of synchronization. Whether he is matching your stride on purpose, or if it’s a subconscious thing, you almost find it comforting.
From the Traveler’s descriptions, you expect him to be sharp and barbed, but he’s been… oddly polite, if not just a little standoffish. When you explain that you have no destination in mind, he doesn’t seem put off, and when you fall into old habits of becoming distracted, he doesn’t complain when those distractions take you off the path.
At least, at first.
Eventually, as the day wears on, it seems as if he grows more comfortable. As you push through the afternoon, his voice grabs your attention. “You should take a break, you know.”
“Hm?” Your steps falter a little as you’re brought out of your wandering thoughts. Absently you answer him, more focused on pulling the lenses from your face to rub a smudge off on your shirt - sweat doesn’t cooperate with glasses, unfortunately. “I don’t really need one.”
“The issue with fatigue in humans is once you start feeling it, it’s difficult to stop. Take a break before you’re tired, so you don’t injure yourself,” Wanderer explains. Just like one would explain that the sky is blue, or that Dendro Visions are green, or that there are a multitude of subtleties that differentiate the two of you when it comes to physical composition.
The Wanderer isn’t human, but he looks an awful lot like one, and you’ve forgotten until now about that important fact. Beyond that, there isn’t much you know about him, and it’s with a bit of slyness that you try to strike a deal. “I’ll take a break on one condition. Every fifteen minutes of break time, you answer a question of mine.”
And he laughs. It isn’t necessarily cheerful, but it does pull his lips up into a smile that seems unpracticed. Or, perhaps it is practiced, but never in this sort of context. Despite lingering cynicism, he answers, “You could have asked without a break - it’s not like I’m hiding anything. But I’ll accept. Now sit down.”
Once you’re settled in the grass, just off the road and out of the way of any other travelers that might come along, the Wanderer sits next to you with his legs crossed, elbow on his knee, cheek on his palm. “Ask away.”
“Oh, no.” Immediately you deny, stretching your legs out in front of you as you lean back onto your hands. “I’m saving those for while we walk. You dictate the length of the break based on how many questions you feel like answering. I think that’s pretty fair.”
A huff of air leaves him, making his shoulders jolt. It could’ve been amusement, disbelief, or maybe even both, judging by his tone. “That’s how it’s going to be, huh? Fine.”
The sun above is warm on your skin, despite the sweat that just won’t wick away thanks to the humidity. You turn your face skywards, observing the clouds and completely missing the way his head tilts just enough to look at you out of the corner of his eye, calculating and quiet. At least, at first you miss it, but the sensation of eyes on you is impossible to ignore after enough time.
“Something on my face?”
“Sunburn, if you’re not careful.” Sharp words, but softened by the actual meaning.
With an airy wave toward your bag sitting in the grass, you explain, “I picked up a recipe in Liyue for some balm that helps protect against the sun. I’ll be just fine, don’t worry so much.”
“I’m not worried.” Wanderer responds so quickly that it completely defeats the purpose of his denial. His mouth sets in a line as his brows furrow in irritation that doesn’t quite reach his eyes. “It would just be annoying to listen to you complaining about your face hurting.”
“Mhm.” Is your response as your eyes close and you wait for him to decide that break time is over. It takes longer than you expect for him to get to his feet, and then almost as an afterthought, reach his hand out to help you up. When he looks surprised that you accept it, you don’t remark on that.
Maybe the astonishment will wear off with your time together.
---
“I don’t need to sleep.” Wanderer tells you one day, as the two of you are setting up your tent for the night. When you brought up that he sleeps outside rather than in said tent, he gives you that answer quite easily. “But I can, if I wanted.”
“Don’t you want to? Sounds awfully boring to never dream.” You ask, using the heel of your booted foot to push the last stake into the ground, securing the rain cover to ensure you stay dry in the storm that’s rolling in rather quickly.
There’s no fire to be set up, not while it’s about to rain, so once the shelter is pitched you climb inside and hold the flap open. As he turns around, he starts to speak but then trails off. “That’s two ques..tions…”
Wanderer hesitates. In his eyes, it must be odd - an enclosed room, with someone he likely doesn’t quite trust. But then he looks at you from beneath the brim of his hat, conflicted for only a moment before pulling it off his head and stepping into the tent you offered him.
It doesn’t take long for the raindrops to begin falling, rolling off the waxed canvas and leaving the two of you safe and dry. Not necessarily warm, but you wrap up in your bedroll’s blanket as soon as the two of you settle in the small tent.
There’s no extra bedding - he hadn’t brought any, and you’re not about to offer your own when he doesn’t seem to care. As you lay down for the night, he sits with his back to you, cross-legged and leaning back on his hands as he stares at the darkening forest through the mesh of the tent’s doorway.
That’s the sight you drift off to as you carefully set your glasses to the side and out of the way. A smudge of deep blue and white, the gentle chiming of his vision as he mindlessly runs his fingers along the ornament and feather. It’s almost like a lullaby.
And that lullaby is a stark difference to the smacking of raindrops hitting harder against the tent cover, the thunder rolling above, and the surprising chill in the air thanks to the change in temperature combined with high humidity. You hadn’t realized you were shivering until you woke up to the rustling of your blanket being carefully untucked.
Immediately, you ask, “What’re you doin’?”
“That’s a third question.” Wanderer murmurs, voice low as if he doesn’t want to wake you further. “You’re shivering so hard you’re going to attract a tiger - they’ll think you’re a wounded animal.”
“M’not-”
“Yeah you are. A wounded animal would make less noise. Just go back to sleep.”
The blanket shifts, and your seal from the chilled air is broken just long enough for another body to fill the small amount of space behind you. Squinting into the dark over your shoulder, you're met with violet eyes telling you silently not to say a word. But so far, you've never really been bothered by any of his threats, and you're not planning on starting now.
If he's going to give an inch, you're going to try and take a mile. So you shift back, aligning your spine with the way the front of his body curves. It's deceptively easy to slot your back to his chest and glean some of the little warmth he gives off.
Wanderer's chest expands as if he's going to say something, then he holds it back. Rain drowns out the sound of your quiet breaths, your muscles tensed in anticipation for what his next move might be. It's the one you expect the least, but should be most logical.
Tentatively, his arm snakes around your waist in a quiet acceptance of how his little idea has unfolded. It's thin, but strong enough that he holds you to him with minimal effort. And despite how obviously nervous he is about it all, it doesn't lessen the effect of comfort and warmth he's providing.
"Thank you, Wanderer."
"Please don't make this weird." His answer is blunt. "I'm not doing this for you."
"It's not like there's anyone else here." Your voice is thickened by your interrupted sleep, and your eyes turn wearily to the dim roof of the tent, occasionally lit by lightning. Wanderer's breath hits the back of your neck as he makes a huff of amusement.
"I just don't want to drag your body back when you attract some stray crocodile to eat you with all your shivering. The Traveler would never forgive me. And their floating companion would be unbearable."
"Mhm… you're cuddling me because it makes your life easier then? Why didn't you say so?"
The arm around your waist tightens. Wanderer stammers for a moment before letting out an outraged tsk. "That's not-!...You know what? Fine, believe what you want."
And silence falls. Your eyelids droop, your thoughts slow, and you try to ignore the way you're still cold at the front, despite Wanderer's warmth at your back. The sluggish notion barely crosses your mind before he picks up on it and the flat of his hand presses against your stomach. Through the thin material of your shirt, the warmth from his palm seeps through.
Despite telling you pointedly to go to sleep, he seems almost hellbent on causing problems for you each time you nudge at the threshold of your dreams. When your breathing slows, his thumb starts to slowly move back and forth, just beneath your ribs. And when you get used to that, his whole hand moves instead, caressing circles against your skin that finally have you asking once more, "What are you doing?"
"I don't know." And he means that - he'd hardly admit to ignorance, especially over his own actions. "Want me to stop?"
And what a loaded question that is. Because you certainly don't want him to, but you also don't know where this is going. It's hardly appropriate when his hand raises a little higher, growing dangerously close to the unspoken line about to be crossed.
Almost as if on autopilot, your brain making the decision subconsciously when your mouth takes a little too long, you say, "No. I don't."
The sensation doesn't register in your mind for a split second. It's only after he lingers do you realize that he's lifted his hand further and cupped one of your breasts in his palm with a tentative squeeze. The two of you pause; you in stunned silence, him in quiet anticipation for what you'll do.
As your tension starts to release, he gives another experimental squeeze, dragging his palm just enough to rub the fabric against your hardening nipple. A little laugh leaves him, high and breathy, and he murmurs, "You like this, don't you?"
"Don't sound surprised-!" You cut off as his fingers pinch and roll, your voice cracking before you can rein it in. With a spark of annoyance, you rock your hips back and find satisfaction in how he falters. "Ngh-... it's not as if you're not enjoying it, too."
Wanderer's arousal digs into your backside, growing more persistent as you repeat that movement with precision. In return, you get a sharp pinch that makes you whine under your breath. It feels like you've given him a victory, and he gives your chest one more squeeze before taking the prize he feels he's won.
"On your back." He directs, pulling away enough for you to follow his direction. With both hands, he shoves your shirt to your collarbone, your breasts falling free for only a moment before his mouth catches one, his hand on the other.
Instinctively, your fingers tangle in his hair, holding him close enough that he couldn't pull away even if he wanted to. With a sharp suck, he takes your nipple into his mouth, rolling his tongue over it in rhythmic motions that match the movement of his fingers on the other. He’s barely even breathing, but rather working himself up into a fervency where maintaining the illusion of being human is pushed away in favor of single-minded desire.
When he gets too rough, you tug his hair, and he lessens the pressure. If he’s lingering too long on one side, a subtle push of his head moves him easily to the other. And all the while, his hips slot against yours, grinding messily as if friction between the two of you is an afterthought compared to how the taste of your skin is making his eyes flutter shut so prettily. His eyelashes brush against high cheekbones, and you fight the urge to sweep your thumb across to see if they’re as soft as they look.
Instead, you card your fingers through his hair and wonder how it stays so smooth despite how careless you’ve been with it up to this point. In spite of how nice this all feels, it just isn’t enough. And if he’s going to go this far, you’d rather he just go all the way and be done with playing around.
With a sharp tug, you pull him away from your skin and he looks ruined. Eyes glassy despite his laser-focus on your face, lips swollen, wetness across his lips from how reckless he’d been so far. Before he can question you, your voice comes out - a lower pitch than usual, breathless but still demanding. “I need more, Wanderer.”
Simple enough to fulfill, you think, but his lips twist into a smile that’s almost wry as he answers, “If you hadn’t interrupted me-”
“You know what I mean.” Any annoyance that might have been effective is lessened by the way he’s warmed your cheeks and slickened your skin with his saliva, his fingers still rolling one of your nipples idly. Like he’s not interested in it, like he hadn’t been nipping and sucking and biting you with the sort of abandon belonging to a man starved.
Starved for attention, affection, simple contact… You’re not quite sure. Maybe it doesn’t matter, in the long run - any of those would be solved if he just stopped fooling around.
Wanderer does know what you mean, and his tongue darts out to sweep the lingering wetness from his lips before he lifts off you, shrugging enough of the blankets away that there’s room to rather neatly roll yourself once more. From below you, he looks just as pretty as above. Hair against the pillow you’d just been leaning against, skin lit up by the occasional flash of lightning through the trees above, hands digging into the outsides of your thighs as you straddle his lap.
Inhaling sharply, as if he just remembered that perhaps unnatural stillness of a being that doesn’t need oxygen might be unsettling, he takes in the sight of you in the same manner of admiration you’d been giving him. It’ll make more sense in the morning, when the storm has passed and the cover of darkness isn’t enough to hide rational thought.
Pressing his fingers against your plush skin, leaving little oval marks of red in his yearning, he murmurs, “Take it, then. If you want more, make me give it to you.”
And oh, does that do something inside of you. Setting your stomach afire with a need you don’t bother to control, Wanderer’s challenge is met with your hands on his shoulders, and a slow roll of your hips that wipes the attitude off his face in one smooth movement.
Arching himself to meet you halfway, he chases the feeling of your heat against his hardness greedily. For someone that wants you to take, he seems awfully eager to give.
But he demanded that you take what you want, that you make him give it to you, so you leverage yourself away to shimmy out of your shorts as quickly as you can. Depriving yourself of his body heat for such a short time shouldn’t feel as desolate as it does, but by the time you return it feels as if those few seconds were the equivalent of a lifetime.
Despite your partial nudity, you really only give enough effort to reach between your bodies and pull him free. While he’s attempted to seem detached - both in this tent and outside, where the world exists despite feeling as if it’s been reduced to only these four canvas walls - Wanderer’s eyes positively glow with a saccharine sort of longing that threatens to pull you in if you stare at it a little too long, a little too willing.
The first stretch of his cock brings you pause. It’s been too long, certainly for you, maybe for him with how his fingertips grab as your thighs all over again, as if he were searching for something to ground himself in this exact moment. You don’t blame him, gripping his shoulders just as hard; bracing yourself against him, pushing him down into the mess of a blanket at his back.
“Y-you’re so-!” Spitefully, you cut off his words by sinking just a little further, taking a little more inside. Wanderer learns his lesson, relegating the use of his voice to what could only be considered a whine as you move at your pace, not his. Little by little, agonizingly slow until he has nothing more to give and you’re seated fully on his cock.
You’re far from unaffected, but a need to maintain the upper hand keeps your face tuned to amusement as you watch the emotions flicker across his face. A great many of them you’re unfamiliar with, but perhaps he’ll give you a chance to learn them after this encounter. Maybe this won’t be the last.
Finally, he looks at you through cracked eyelids, desperation coloring his voice as he pleads for you to take him. Wanderer tries to spin it as an order, but there can be no authority when he sounds so ruined from simply being inside you - no movement beyond the subconscious way you tighten around him for your own pleasure.
Taking the smallest amount of pity - and growing impatient with your own teasing - you rock your hips forward, then back, and take note of how his head falls back enough to show the pretty line of his unmarred throat, usually so hidden by the high collar of his clothing. With a shaking exhale, pleased by both the sight beneath you and the sensations inside, you ask, “Does it feel good? You look overwhelmed…”
“I-I’m not, it’s just-...” Wanderer trails off, face twisting in a grimace as you repeat your movements, setting a slow and rhythmic pace that could be enough if either of you had the patience to maintain it. The smallest whine precedes his words, “You feel so good, I don’t think I can… I can’t-”
“You can.” You urge, reaching for his hand on your thigh to pry it loose, bringing it to the apex of your thighs with a purpose he clumsily realizes. Just the thought of having him - normally so composed and closed-off - completely pulled to pieces like this has you thrilled in ways you haven’t managed to feel before.
That, paired with the obscene feeling of being perfectly filled by him, has you close enough that even if he’s a bit too overwhelmed to be precise with the movements of his fingers, you’re inching closer and closer to what feels like a monolith on the horizon. Swallowing around a moan threatening to tumble free, you turn it into words, “I’m so close, j-just a little more. You’re so good, so good, so-”
“Please,” his begging is hoarse as he tries to match your movements, tries to match the pleasure you’re giving him with offerings of his own, “let me feel you, please.”
Another inhale from him, like something is just on the tip of his tongue, but it dies as you tilt back a little. The change is what you need, the last bit to complement the succession of feelings in every sense of the word, and Wanderer gets exactly what he begs for as you find your release at his behest.
Your hands lessen their grip on his shoulders as you abandon pinning him in favor of prolonging what you’ve found, and like the snapping of a leash he abandons any sense of submitting to you in favor of gripping your hips and jerking himself sharply upward into you. The sound of surprise you make is undignified at best, downright lewd at its most basic, and that only seems to spur him on as he takes on a short-lived viciousness stemming from unresolved desperation.
One hand snatches yours, bringing it to his mouth to press a sloppy kiss to your palm - a sudden intimacy just before he takes your fingers past his lips and onto his tongue. A wrecked sound tears from his throat as his tongue twists between your fingers and his teeth graze at your knuckles before biting down with enough force to almost be painful.
By the time you’re coming down, he’s taken your place - pistoning with long, sharp thrusts that are short-lived. The two of you danced on the edge as it was, and he’s freely able to throw himself off of it with reckless abandon and his back arching in such a beautiful curve. His tongue stills, but you’ve gained enough faculties back to drag the pads of your fingers along his taste buds, dangerously close to the back of his tongue where it would make him gag.
In that moment, his eyes open enough to look at you as he murmurs around your fingers that he loves you.
Maybe he does, at that moment when the entirety of existence loses its deeper meaning, perhaps Wanderer does feel something strong enough that it could be confused for love. But as you pull your fingers from his mouth and fall to his side, head over his chest where no heart beats, you wonder how he’d justify it if you brought it up in the morning.
You won’t - and he won’t either, even though he says it the next time, and the one following, each growing more frantic as if he were desperate for you to return the favor. If you do, it won’t be in the throes of passion - you want to mean it. It’ll be said in the sunlight, maybe even spoken with a nonchalance he doesn’t expect.
His expression of surprise would be rather pretty, you think.

Hello! Congrats on 200 followers! <3 Can I request Nahida with a mother figure! reader, who has a similar personality to Raiden Mei (HoT)? Where the reader is not an Archon but is just as powerful and is extremely protective of Nahida? I love my archon baby so much and I need something cute like this :(

Nahida didn't expect that she would have a mother figure in her life, not that she was complaining.
You're from Inazuma, you had decided to travel to Sumeru ever since the Vision Hunt Decree was demolished.
You were also part of the resistance and the strongest warrior, aside from the Traveler.
You were known as very malicious and cold, viewing those lower than you as scum. But you were only nice to children and the people you care about.
When you landed in Sumeru, you found the Traveler and Paimon with their little companion. When you laid your eyes on the Dendro Archon you have officially adopted her.
"From now on you are now officially my child."
You decided to join the Traveler to save Nahida, that means you can spend some time with her and get to know her.
When you learned what Azar and his minions did to Nahida. That's it, they're done. They're facing their death right now.
Nahida didn't understand why you're so protective over her, but she mind, she loved how caring you are.
You always take care of her even though she's a 500 year old goddess and knows how to take care of herself, you still treat her as your child.
Nahida loves your cooking. You always cook for her even though she doesn't need to eat often like humans do, but she didn't deny eating your cooking.
She loves it when you pat her head, comb her hair, praising her when she says something smart, and reading her bedtime stories.
She wonders if this is what it feels like when they feel someone who truly loved you.
When it's time for you to go back to Inazuma. Nahida doesn't want you to go but it was your decision.
She did try to do the puppy eyes on you and actually it works. She may or may not take advantage of that for letting you stay in Sumeru for a while.
"I love you, mama. Thank you for loving me."

"Professor Reader, could you inform me where I can find the books about the Electro Archon?" Alhaithem asked Reader, they smiled at Alhaithem. "Unfortunately there aren't many books about The Electro Archon. However, Aether got the Electro Archon to inform me about some of her past achievements. And Yae Miko send me scriptures on the Electro Archon." Reader started rambling with a smile. "In other words! I only have my own research on that since my students currently have the existing published knowledge."
"Could you perhaps show me your research?" Alhaithem questioned. "Aether told me quite a lot about his travels, but the Vision hunt decree has my special intrest."
"Why, of course!" Reader exlaimed happily, Inazuma was one of their favorite places to study.
Reader told Alhaithem all they knew about the Electro Archon and did so with a bright smile on their face.
"Your lovely." Alhaithem whispered while Reader continued to ramble. Alhaithem had always had an eye on them. During their studying days, during the days before the demolition of th Akasha system, and most of all how they helped save Lesser Lord Kusunali.
He wanted them for himself.
"Aren't you lovely, such a lovely person." Alhaithem stated louder. "Huh?" Reader squeled their face warming up as his statement came through. "Alhaithem! Reader!" Aether shouted as he ran towards them, they were in Reader's office, so Aether could be as loud as he wanted. "Oh? Are Paimon and Aether interuppting a date?" Paimon questioned.
Yeah, reader passed out by now.
