Finished this piece for the @yearoftheotpevent with Heiji and Kazuha in a historical setting AU!

I really fast had a complete story in mind and also started a fanfic for it, which I will upload later on ^_^

Oh, it DOES make sense! :> A lot of it. I have been suggesting this idea as an alternative to why Iosefka's vial is in the Nightmare of Mensis... As appealing as 'Iosefka is a detractor from Mensis that just tries to forget and repress' theory is, that alternative is just really nice too! ...Although...

Hmmmm what about headcanons

🩹 Iosefka is a kind woman but she can also be strict! This is a good combination of traits for someone close with Edgar, as he could get hot-headed, overly stressed because of minor things, petty, or even passive-aggressive at times. Trust issues, being a huge nerd and his parents straight up liking his cheeky close friend more than him ensured some emotional barriers, but when Iosefka would see that he is sulking and being immature, she could reason him into calming down and an open communication. And when Edgar cooperates (sooner or later), she becomes soft and willing to give him all kisses and hugs.

🔎 He, on the other hand, can at times get very emotional over the fact that Iosefka is so willing (and capable) of handling him at the moment of pettiness and cold anger and give her even MORE kisses and hugs! Even squeezing her too hard in his embrace. Other times when he gets emotional and can't help excessive display of physical affection is when Iosefka is being very smart. For example, her coming up with removing the red cells from her own holy blood is a brilliant idea for several reasons. Like, she could be explaining some discovery or an interesting thing she knows about medicine, and he just LOVES all this devotion and insightfulness. He has weakness for people that think very deep, in general, knowing that being educated and reading a lot doesn't automatically mean a person is smart. It is all about attitude!

🩹 None of them is actually good at basic life skills! It is not that they don't know how to cook, clean, plan, organize, spend etc, but more that they are both a bit dysfunctional. There is never "enough time in the day" for them to do everything they needed, because Iosefka would overdo her duties as hospital overseer somehow even without any patients, Edgar would get busy reading a lot about the things he'll never need or work out practice with the sword… Like, half of their time they are wasting together discussing things, another half they entirely devote to their occupations. In modern era, it'd be a type of couple that always orders delivery of ready food because none cooked or even pay a maid to clean the house. In where they are, they will often go to friends for "help" with it xD Like, going as guests at someone's place late in evening, looking all guilty and making puppy eyes to let them share dinner with this person fdsjhfhgs

🔎 For some reason, Iosefka feels shy every other time she finds him attractive? xD As goofy as it sounds to feel horny when her literal boyfriend is idk, being shirtless or whispers nice things to her, but this is how she is? She just... can't really get used to it, every time feels like a goddamn discovery т.т

🩹 He will at times lift her up in his arms to carry her down/up the stairs or over a hard-to-walk area. But it is not that he is trying to be romantic or overly-attentive, but rather he keeps himself in a good physical shape and uses such moments as a reason to lift up something heavy. Just not tell Iosefka about it, she will pout if she learns xd

🔎 They at times discuss a possible future where they'd quit their jobs for good and adopt many children to take care of. To forsaken their very grim past in which they allowed a lot of bad things happen with children (both Orphanage and School of Mensis; some corpses in the cages in Yahar'gul are kids!). They try to not dwell too much on it; Edgar copes with the fact that if not becoming Kin, those children could've still became beasts or be eaten by them, Iosefka because she will not be able to mentally handle it if she REALLY thinks about it. For people not good at handling even their own daily lives, they have created very elaborate, very optimistic and far-planned image of what their better life will be like "when it is all over". Honestly, simply dreaming in this setting is already good enough to stay human.

🩹 Speaking of, as I keep saying, my version of Edgar "officially" turned on Choir and sided with Micolash because in his mind, Micolash and School of Mensis "made more sense", whereas Choir he believed met the dead end. Needless to mention not providing enough autonomy with all that "only things Stars allow you to see uwu" instead of ALL of the Truth..... But in this case, with Iosefka, Edgar would certainly be more in touch with humanity! Roots of doubting the Choir here come not from their ways seeming less efficient, but from Edgar (re)discovering worth of being a human. So, in Iosefka ship AU, Edgar losing sanity to Micolash would come not from appealing to his "heretical" yearning for more efficient contact with the cosmic horrors than sheltered, controlled Choir ways, but to Micolash pressuring hard on how there is no way for Edgar to go back and reclaim his human life after all he's done (or allowed to be done) and the only courage he could show is to commit to forsaking the humanity. I just find it bittersweet how different a person can be depending on who they are intimate with!

🔎 He is used to cut his hair short by now, but he does like Iosefka's long hair and playing with it. That made him realize he wanted to grow long hair so she could, too, braid it and decorate it with pins and ribbons x)

🩹 Now that I think of it, following the interpretation that Iosefka and imposter are twins, that makes Edgar and Iosefka potentially both people that did not click with Choir very well. And even more potential - that both aligned with School of Mensis instead, be it Micolash's charisma or the promises of Mensis' institution in general. In fact, there are many things that could be done about these factors - down to Edgar not being "taken" by Nightmare of Mensis but simply leaving for a work shift or whatnot sdhjffghds Nothing can be 100% proven about conditions with which Edgar is there, it is From's game! But no matter what, all boils down to how they're both non-conforming. Iosefka is more passively so - she (used to be) a pushover externally but still having her own mind internally. And, again, messing with the formula of holy blood itself! And Edgar is an individualist questioning any dogmas if he sees it fit, symbolizing wish to use his own head hardly ever wearing Blindfold Cap and now not wearing Mensis Cage.

Welcome to My Collection of Random Thoughts during my nth* rewatch of Good Omens Season 2

*only amazon prime knows the exact number at this point but I’m fairly certain it’s in the double digits

Episode 1: Gabriel’s fly lurking in the box when Aziraphale first takes it inside 👀

Crowley’s promise of “two minutes” basically means that he’s been homeless and living in his car for the past 4 years strictly so that he can be within 2 driving minutes of Aziraphale at all times in case his angel needs him I’m not crying you are

So here I think the key word is “fragile,” Crowley knows they are ostensibly safe from their respective sides but that could change at any moment so he’s basically spent the last 4 years in anxiety-ridden terror hovering as close to Aziraphale as he can to try and protect him from heaven, hell, and anyone else that would want to bring him harm after all that business they pulled in season 1 with stopping Armageddon

Episode 2: I just happened to pause the episode while Aziraphale is lying to the angels about his miracle and LOL Michael really outdid himself here (Sheen, not the Archangel)

Gabriel trying to swat flies and almost smashing the repository of every single one of his memories

Episode 3: So I’m trying to find any hints or foreshadowing of the Gabriel Beelzebub thing bc tbh I did kind of feel like it came out of nowhere which is really the only issue I have with them. I found this one scene where Beelzebub almost ?? seems to be concerned about Gabriel ?? But it’s blink and you miss it and there could be lots of other reasons why Beelzebub doesn’t want to fail in locating Gabriel (pressure from/leverage over heaven, etc) so idk

More Foreshadowing Fly content 🪰

Episode 4: So here we’ve seen that Shax can just appear inside the Bentley bc she did it earlier to talk to Crowley. Shax only pretended to be a hitchhiker so she could be invited in because Azirpahale was driving so technically she needed permission to cross the threshold of an angel 👀

This scene will never not destroy me the 1941 flashback is the absolute sOFTEST thing ever to happen on this show

We really need more context here I need to see the Crowley-Furfur Monkey Rides

Okay I know you can’t hear it in the gif but just before Nina takes Maggie’s hand, there’s a very quiet miracle noise, like Azirpahale literally MADE Nina dance with Maggie, he said I’m writing a Mina Jane-Austen-Ball-AU and my otp will KISS godDAMMIT

Azirpahale seems lowkey kind of manic this whole scene tho, he’s controlling literally everyone to force Nina and Maggie together and whenever Crowley says anything that pokes holes in Aziraphale’s Magical Jane Austen Ball Fairytale, Aziraphale just straight up denies it. He wants Nina and Maggie to dance and he wants him and Crowley to dance and he refuses to acknowledge anything beyond that.

Is this just Shax insulting Crowley for how much of a nuisance he’s been or a reference to his former status as an angel ???

They’re both completely dismissive of each other when they’re trying to say something important and that’s the main issue they’ve been having this entire season tbh

Episode 6: I think it’s funny that Crowley describes the angels as bees here because in the book, Neil/Terry describe humans the same way. Guess we have more in common than we thought huh?

So the metatron was the one who originally decided Gabriel would be memory wiped and not sent to hell, and he was also the one that decided not to sound an alarm about Gabriel for some reason and said ‘just go find him yourself’ instead. The metatron has definitely got his own agenda and you can bet he doesn’t want Aziraphale up there in heaven because he’s a “leader” and he’s “honest” like that’s exactly what Gabriel was and look where it got him 👀

There��s just something I can’t quite put my finger on about the metatron bringing Aziraphale a coffee from “give me coffee or give me death” and then asking Aziraphale if he’s going to take the coffee he’s giving him…

I have not seen a single person talk about this since s2 came out but Nina literally calls Maggie “angel” because that’s the term of endearment they hear Crowley using for Aziraphale !!!! I’m still going fERAL over this and I can’t believe no one else is eitHER

Something about this part of The Final Fifteen compared to this scene from the first episode is so representative of the entire season. Azirpahale keeps saying “my way or get out” and Crowley finally hits a wall and can follow Aziraphale no further. So he does just that. He goes.

I’m sure a lot of us by now have seen this post that brings up how Aziraphale literally pushes the remains of Crowley into his mouth and swallows and it’s the only thing I see when I watch this now

We still don’t know for certain if Crowley queued up this song to play on their way to the Ritz or if the Bentley started playing it all on its own and it’s driving me insane

Basically how I am doing after my Truly-Alarming-Number-th watch of this traumatizing episode/season. WELP hope you enjoyed this garbage dump of my thoughts and feelings time to go cry for a bit again BYE

Not to keep harping on this but I really don't think some of yall are seeing the bigger picture here, and WHY Buddie can't go canon yet.

Yes, great, Buck is canon-confirmed queer/bi. That's only one part of it. Eddie is still straight and in a relationship with a woman. And even if that wasn't the case, they have bigger things to prioritise over their feelings for each other. Like Chris. Like the family unit they've been building since s2. Like their Actual biological families. Like the years of repression and guilt that Eddie has suffered, like the years of self-loathing and guilt that Buck has suffered. Like their literal JOBS being on the line.

Yall are not seeing this. You're not looking at the bigger picture here. Tommy is good for Buck because he is SAFE. There's no bigger circle to consider with Tommy. There's no family dynamic to worry about ruining. There's no years of baggage to carry, there's no risk to their jobs or their livelihood. Tommy is the best possible option for Buck right now.

Buck is finding out something brand new about himself and that can be scary enough on its own. Imagine the fear of all of that, coupled with all the many, many things that could go wrong if he got with Eddie right now. Their relationship would break down too fast, and the fallout would be catastrophic.

Buddie is not READY to be canon yet. Yes they've had close calls and near misses. But they are not ready.

Keep shipping it, keep loving Buddie. But stop expecting for the entire show to screech to a halt so that your otp can make out on screen when it is abundantly clear that they are not ready for each other.

music video: anything you imagine as a standalone, prerecorded visual to accompany the music. this may feature musical performance elements, dance, a narrative, or any combination of the above. if you're imagining your little scene as if it's intended to be viewed on MTV, youtube, etc as the official visual complement to the music, it probably comes under this category

Unexpected OTP Pairings ✨

❥ Okay I know Valentine’s Day was last week! Almost two weeks ago! But recently I’ve been wanting to branch out a bit with my blog writing, & writing prompts are something I love a lot! So, I’m trying something new & came up with a few OTP ideas! I hope you enjoy, thank you & have fun!

❥ F x M writing prompts! I didn't specify who is who though so everyone can read!

Former! Villain x Superhero

Not even a real villain, just some dumb person who steals things but is actually really nice in real life! But when a superhero comes to stop them, they instantly fall in love! Seriously has heart eyes & doesn't pay any attention to the hero’s grand pre-fight speech.

Or doesn’t put up a fight at all, just hands them the stolen goods & escapes. Leaving Hero completely confused as the Villain they were supposed to stop didn’t even bother fighting, which is still good but they’re still confused.

After this, the Villain now decides to become a Superhero!! To not only impress their new crush but also because they've always really wanted to be one anyways! It was just the push they needed.

Cue them now running the streets in a completely different outfit trying their best to stop the bad guys! Usually, it doesn’t end well though: they’ll trip over the air & let them escape, or maybe just show up late to the fight & it’s already over.

It’s even worse when their Hero crush joins the fray, and then they’re really clumsy or just start sputtering like an old car. Their former henchmen, now turned sidekicks, try to console them as they lay on the couch completely embarrassed by their feats.

Oooooor, they are super confident & much better at being a superhero than they ever were being a Villain. Maybe this confidence goes to their head a bit & will literally try flirting with Hero on the battlefield! Hero gets a bit embarrassed sometimes & their other super-friends tease them about it. If this does happen, Hero might end up trying to run away from the former Villain in an effort to focus on their job. But it just ends up being really funny to watch.

Bonus: They have opposite powers or maybe one has no powers at all.

Dashing Thief x Friendly! Detective

I'm sorry this one is a bit short!

A notorious thief with a heart of gold who only ever steals from bad guys & acts more as a Robin Hood character than any. Hardly ever keeps anything for themselves; just struts around after dark on the lookout for anything suspicious. Not one person has been able to catch them & their identity remains a mystery. Would be cool if they were a nobleman/woman or had some kind of big fancy hideout.

The detective is actually their friend/partner (maybe)! The good egg who actually sees the thief’s true intentions instead of just mucking around in a Halloween costume. Although they're pretty ticked at the way Thief does things, they usually keep their coworkers & the boss off Thief's trail. Maybe a newbie or an intern at the detective agency, determined to prove themselves on the field.

Maybe they met as civilians & the thief switched to a disguise to hide from authorities, but bumped into the detective who was out on a coffee break. It was love at first sight for both of them, so cute! 😆 They do a lot of coffee dates now, but sometimes Detective overdoes it.....

One is the brains, and the other is the brawn. Together they can get any job done! The Detective’s coworkers find it strange how the Thief shows up more often when they're specifically on the job. The Boss is suspicious but sometimes finds them cute.

Often swing by each other’s places to not only hangout but help each other with cases or special kinds of info. If the Thief has any sidekicks, no doubt they’ll spill funny stories of missions gone wrong or close calls.

Stealing each other's hats and impersonating the other one for fun, then cue a playful chase scene around the room! So cute!

Dragon x Wizard

I know some people like fantasy stuff!

A dragon is resting in their cave until they hears footsteps at the entrance. But instead of finding a grumpy old knight, they find a wizard! Maybe the Wizard was exploring the caves nearby or on a journey to the next town, but instead of feeling scared or angry, they started fangirling/fanboying over the dragon instead! 😆

Likes to ask them all sorts of questions & sometimes can’t stop talking. Now Wizard can come whenever they like & the two become friends!

The Wizard visits whenever they can, showing off all sorts of new spells or potions they've created. Even though it might not be as impressive as their fire, the Dragon still finds it cool & applauds.

The Dragon will always try to impress their wizard friend with tall tales of each piece of treasure. How they got it, where they found it, if they fought anyone over it, etc. But sometimes those stories are exaggerated…

The Wizard will be in absolute awe at the Dragon’s stories & can’t help but be a complete chatterbox about it. Asking more questions about different things like how their magic works, how they can fly with all that extra weight, or if they can learn a fire-breathing spell from them instead—

If the Wizard lives in a tower then the Dragon will visit just as frequently! Usually it’s in the early morning or during sundown when there are fewer people around. But if the Wizard lives in a town or city, it might take some time for the Dragon to come around. It’s not that they don’t care, but dragons are more solitary creatures. They likely won’t be found anywhere other than their own home or nearby.

Either way, they enjoy each other's company & the dragon likes to ask questions about different thingamabobs on the Wizard's shelves.

They can both be pretty clingy but that’s sometimes a bit tough to handle because the poor wizard has to be extra careful pouring bottles or waving their wand around if a pair of arms are wrapped around them. Doesn’t mind but sometimes will complain if their partner won’t stay still.

Extra Duo!

Since I loved the superhero one a lot I thought of another one: what if a Hero’s Sidekick & a Villain’s Henchman fall in love! They end up sneaking out on rooftops for dates or waving/winking at each other on the battle field. The Henchman does end up giving Sidekick any tips about their next plan.

Cue the Villain throwing a tantrum in their lair wondering why the Hero is always one step ahead of them. 😅

They like to hangout in civilian settings together! Bonus if they found out on accident lol

If their Bosses end up finding out it’s like sneaking back into your house at night, but then the Hero/Villain turns the lights on in their pajamas like “Where were you?? I thought you were asleep!”

Bonus if the Henchman or both villains become heroes at the end!

looooong loooooong time ago you gave away some magic suitcases. I'm looking for a timeout as a badboy maybe with a racial change cause my life is so straight: graduation last summer, wedding this summer and so on. I want an adventure!

Yes, I still have a suitcase from OTP. I couldn't assign it to anyone. The case was closed a long time ago… If I give you the suitcase, no one will notice.

There's not much in the case. A uniform. A few sports clothes. Protein powder. Energy drinks. All very neatly packed. Looks militarily neat. And even though the suitcase is from Romania, everything is obviously from Russia. At least that's what the flags and coats of arms on the uniform and the Cyrillic characters suggest… Actually, you would have expected something like this in a sports bag or an army backpack rather than a boring Samsonite suitcase. You can't really do anything with these things. But you wanted to go to the gym today anyway. Whatever's in the energy drink, you give it a try.

Shit, that's strong stuff. But you have the feeling that you could tear out trees. You go to the treadmill to warm up. You set the speed to 20 km/h. You wouldn't last a marathon at that speed. But 30 minutes is no problem. You're drenched in sweat. But now you're just getting started. You stand at the punching bag and punch and kick at it as if you've been practising Thai boxing since you were a child. And you have. Just like taekwondo and judo. You are a machine. A killer. Not just in the figurative sense. That's why you were dishonorably discharged from the army. The Serbian one, by the way. Not the Russian one. I admit, as an American you can confuse the flags and the language. Prokleti Amerikanci. Imperijalistički seronje! You spit at the thought of being mistaken for an American. Srbija Srbima. That's not just for decoration on your chest. It's your motto. And that of your comrades. Of course you would have liked to remain a proud member of the Serbian army. But in the end, you're better off with Srpska čast. They embody everything you stand for. Glory and honor for the Serbian people!

Of course you have to get married next summer. Bring good Serbian fighters into the world. But actually, women's asses are too soft for you. You'd rather fuck the asses of real men, well-trained fighters. Just like you are.

I found this awesome picture @zakucavanje. I would like to emphasize that I do not approve of paramilitary and separatist organizations. But I imagine their members to be similar. And the idea makes at least me horny.
