I don't know if Doug is Tracy's type necessarily, but to be fair the only hint we got on what Tracy might even like seems to be his tennis partner Dave so my initial thoughts are that he's into the athletic guys BUT

I think they could be a really cute pairing. Doug and the one person more anxious than he is. Tracy getting scared and trying to hide behind his much shorter boyfriend. Doug, not phased by people thinking he's weird, helping Tracy come to terms with his anxieties about how people see him.
