The second morning Yuu wakes up after becoming Floyd's mate, they yawn, as usual. Floyd interprets that as "I'm horny," as morays do, and, when Yuu tries to go about their daily routine, Floyd does NOT allow it. In his eyes, that would be letting his mate spend all day pent-up and needing to cum, which would be what a bad mate would do. Floyd won't let himself be a bad mate.

From there, still panicking, he wraps them in the blanket like a burrito and it's away to the nurse!

Meanwhile, Yuu is just now realizing that of course Floyd doesn't know what that is, he's a fish.

After that chaos, Floyd tends near obsessively to his mate, doing everything they ask and everything they don't but need anyway, like food. Yuu decides morays are way better than moray for the simple reason of no human male would be this doting and helpful.

I’m sorry, is it okay that your post about Wednesday and Enid being comfortable being naked around each other gave me an idea to send you about the Nightsade poly? 😅

Like I imagine that before Wednesday came along, the girls became quite used to being naked around each other.

From there, they became more open around each other. They once had a girls night and chose to go to the school pool. Bianca and Divina asked Enid and Yoko if they’re fine with them going nude as it’s more comfortable for their scales and then with Yoko, she decided ‘screw it’ one day and when they were at her room for a movie night, she came out of the shower to get changed and decided on no towel. There was never really any ‘oh my god, why are you naked?!’ Moments, they just quickly became comfortable nude around each other, even when Enid presented as an alpha and developed a girlcock. When the four of them are in the lake, they’re surprised to see a wary Wednesday walking to the lake, completely nude, but they all cheer her on. After that, she’s comfortable being nude around them

It’s totally more than okay anon! I love seeing people get inspiration from my posts and fics. Half the reason why I post my thoughts and writing is to hopefully inspire others to write their own stuff, even unrelated to what I write about lol.

And ooo, this is so interesting, honestly! I love the idea of the nightshade girls all being super comfortable being naked around each other simply because of their individual cultures and other things like that.

But I also think it would be a lot more difficult for Wednesday to be comfortable with being nude in front of her girlfriends but not because of any social norms or anything like that. Obviously Wednesday doesn’t care about any of that. But it’s also made pretty clear, at least to me, that Wednesday doesn’t exactly love showing skin.

Because beyond Wednesday only wearing black and white due to her color allergy, she also only wears clothes that cover her completely. Long sleeve everything, so much oversized clothing, long socks with literally everything, etc. Wednesday doesn’t like showing skin. And so for whatever reason that may be, whether you have your own headcanons for it, or there’s some in universe explanation, Wednesday will very very rarely allow herself to be seen nude unless it is someone she trusts in that way.

Soooo, I think it would go more like this…

Wednesday comes across her girlfriends’ affinity for casual nudity around each other barely a week after she officially joins their relationship. She was already aware of Yoko’s apparent aversion to wearing clothes, since the vampire seems to have an actual “who the fuck even cares” attitude about being naked when around her friends, Wednesday clearly standing in that classification before they became girlfriends.

But she learns about their casual nudity when they make a trip to the school pool for Bianca and Divina’s personal practice. Since they had reserved an hour in the pool for just them, the two sirens carelessly removed their clothes right in front of the other three, not even really thinking about the fact that it’s the first time that Wednesday would see them naked. Wednesday’s heart skips about three whole beats and she’s frozen in place, staring shamelessly at her girlfriends as they prepare to enter the pool.

Yoko snickers quietly at the seer’s reaction and calls out intentionally loud, “Enjoying the show, babe?”

Wednesday blushes wildly as the other three girls all look at her, Bianca smirking and pulling her best pose for the shortest woman while Enid and Divina smile widely at Wednesday’s quite frankly adorable reaction. Enid walks over to Wednesday to check on her, “You alright, baby?”

Despite the slight embarrassment of the situation, Wednesday nods, “‘m fine. Simply surprised by the flagrant… nudity.” Wednesday picks at her skin around her fingernails, nerves growing as her mind runs wild anxious thoughts.

The other girls notice, of course, and so Bianca and Divina decide to get in the pool and Yoko steps outside for a "weed break" in order to give the two some room. They’re all aware how much Wednesday hates being crowded, even more so when she’s feeling vulnerable.

Enid steps in front of Wednesday and takes one of her hands with her own, using her other to cup her face and encourage her to look at her. “What’s wrong, mi cuervo?” Enid asks softly, her accent slightly broken due to her inexperience with Spanish. Though the nickname still seems to steady the seer nonetheless.

Wednesday breathes deeply and speaks hesitantly, “Is nudity… a regular occurrence with you four?”

Enid furrows her brows in concern, “Uh, yeah. I mean, it’s more like we don’t mind being naked around each other. For Bee and Divina, it’s easier for them to swim nude and Yoko, well, she’s Yoko. As for me, well, werewolves overheat super easily, especially in the summer. So it’s a lot more comfortable for me to be naked. So we’ve just grown used to being naked, you know? Is it an issue for you, seeing us naked? Because if it is, we can work something out. If you’re uncomfortable, dear, then we all want to do what we can to help.”

Wednesday shakes her head, and looks away towards the sirens running their practices, still stretching at the moment. She can’t help but notice how beautiful they look in their element, and how beautiful they are completely naked. Toned muscles, wet skin. Wednesday catches herself and focuses back on the conversation. “No, I don’t take issue with your nudity. It’s just… am I required to be nude as well?”

Enid finally understands the issue and pulls her shorter girlfriend closer, “Oh no, no my love, you don’t have to get naked in front of us. I promise, Wednesday, there’s no pressure from any of us for you to do anything that you’re uncomfortable with or not ready for, okay?”

“Okay, thank you, mi amor. Thank you,” Wednesday whispers graciously, her anxiety disappearing instantly as she wraps herself around the blonde. Enid returns the hug lovingly, pressing a light kiss on Wednesday’s head as well.

When they separate a couple minutes later, Enid’s curiosity gets the best of her. “So, if you don’t mind me asking?”

Wednesday sighs, “I’m… sure you’re aware of how… intimate my parents are. I suppose it’s the level of trust and love they hold for each other that has led to my… aversions. Every minute of every day, they speak to each other as though they were only ever meant to be with each other. That they were literally built to love each other. It’s true of course, but nonetheless had an effect on my young, impressionable self. Not a negative effect, per se, but I believe that I am… unnerved… by that level of intimacy because I am afraid of lending my heart to the wrong person, or in this case, people. Not to say that I believe you and others aren’t devastatingly perfect in every possible way and if anyone were to even think about hurting any of you, I wouldn’t hunt them down and ensure their final day on this planet are far worse than the place they’ll be headed-”

“Wednesday?” Enid cuts off her girlfriend’s rant short, “Um, I think you lost yourself for a second…”

“Oh, right. Well, like I was saying, in simpler terms, I’m not prepared to commit myself to all of you quite yet. I need to be… ready.”

Enid nods, “I understand. And it’s okay, Willa. Like I said, you don’t have to do anything you’re not ready for yet. Take your time. We’ll all be here to love you regardless.”

All of a sudden, Wednesday feels two pairs of wet arms surround her middle and she looks up to see Divina and Bianca smiling down at her. “She’s right, baby. You don’t gotta rush anything. We’ll wait as long as you need. Promise,” Bianca kisses Wednesday deeply, practically taking the seer’s breath away and once they separate, Wednesday notices that she’s surrounded by the four women.

And in that moment, standing in the middle of these four outcasts who have managed to steal her heart, Wednesday feels complete. Though she may not be ready to say it, they all know, simply from how the raven melts into the women holding her from behind.

There’s no rush.

Ace, ultimately, is fine. One of the benefits of magical worlds is that things like broken bones are relatively easy to fix. Ace will have to wear a cast for a few days, just to give the magic some time to heal his bones back into place. And he's pissed at Floyd, but also at you for not mentioning that you mated with the stupidly tall merman.

He has to explain, “I heard merfolk are super overprotective with their mates, they'll get into all sorts of fights for them. Man, if I'd known you were with Floyd like that, I'd have never smacked you.”
