Trying to find God again is hard.

Where am I even supposed to start? I grew up Catholic yet I never finished the Bible. I never know how I’m supposed to pray other than talking to God like he’s my bff, and over all I’m just stuck in this loop up trying to find proof that God is actually here for me but I get nothing. I’ve really been trying but I feel like I’ve hit a plateau. If anyone has any tips for me that would be great because I feel so stuck. I don’t attend church mainly because my family doesn’t like going and I can’t drive so that really isn’t a option for me at the moment either 😭

Hey Team,

In the current state of the world, I am not happy, just generally. This year started off with both loss and gain, although I had gained from what I lost. In these trying times, I have turned to religion, specifically Christianity.

Over the next month or so I am going to be reading the bible (two versions if I can find my dads old bible) and applying it to my life. The bible I have is a 'girls life application study bible' that my nanna gave to me when I was 9.

I will be highlighting and annotating it according to hot (pink; like the book cover) or not (green; opposite, no hate to green).

Things I deem 'hot':

love thy neighbour

stone a rapist

don't eat pork (I just don't like bacon or ham)

single women are at risk, and to be protected, especially widows

Things I deem 'not';

homosexuality is a sin

tattoos are a sin

immodesty is ugly (I'm looking at you modest wedding dress woman.)

When the reality tv series, LA Ink, was originally showed, I casually followed Kat Von D on social media. I’ve even purchased from her cosmetic line, which is amazing quality makeup by the way. She being an artist and her involvement in witchcraft and the occult, I say a little of myself in her; my past old self. Now within the past year or so, she’s publically denounced her old way of life for a life with Jesus Christ! This exciting news made me feel super ecstatic for her and her family.
