It's really funny to me how Joel has just been sitting in his corner building cool structures and talking to himself, and meanwhile all the hermits are one by one falling head over heels obsessed with him
Iskall just bought a whole stack of Joel stamps at the post office
I've been seeing a number of posts opposing the whole "likes are worthless" idea on here and I feel like a lot of yall are purposefully misunderstanding what creators actually mean when we say that. no one is saying that getting a like means nothing. it's a nice little indicator that a single person enjoyed your post, but it's not helpful in any way to circulating art/creations. likes are worthless to the process of getting your work seen.
we're talking about likes this way because we're trying to push back against the huge disparity in the likes to reblogs ratios. we're trying to get people to understand that your likes, while not damaging in any way, do absolutely nothing to help creators boost their work. they're nice, but that's it. you should be reblogging the work that you enjoy.
One if my favorite things about this community is that I can make a post that's just me rambling incoherently about my feelings towards a specific whump scene and it gets more notes than any gifset I made. I honestly mean that. I love it. I love that I can ramble like a crazy person and that those rambles hit a chord with sort many people.
I talk shit about music and certain attitides towards music, but I just grew up in different internet era. In 2010s talking shit about music was a bit of a sport, but no one took it that seriously. You clowned on x music genre fans, x music genre fan clowned back on you, you became friends and it was an inside joke. Its not that deep. I just like to complain. I am not someone who harasses 14 year olds and asks them who was a bassist in 1984 or someone who never had friends who either listened to like top 40 pop or idk power metal or something i personally considered whack
How many Kevin enthusiasts actually are there on this website? Cuz there's like 5 of yall I consistently see in my notes on Kevin posts, but I'm kinda curious what the actual head count is
