Ahh, so I’ve got my royal baby, Fallon. She’s the queen of a kingdom called Anvia. She’s passionate, stubborn, and confident. Her fatal flaw is loyalty. She has trust issues because of her father’s betrayal which led to her mother’s assassination. It only gets worse for her from there. She pushes everyone who tries to care about her away because she thinks it’s self-preservation, but really it makes everything worse. When she’s severely sleep deprived she’s a bitch, but I still love her. The captain of her personal guard is more a father to her than her biological father ever was. She falls in love with an equally traumatized prince. She genuinely loves her kingdom and would put its well-being above her own. (And has done so on multiple occasions.) She will claim she’s fine until she literally can’t anymore, no matter how much she’s struggling. She was the first OC I made after a good 5 years of not writing anything, and she’s the OC that means the most to me. Oh, and her story is called All the Queen’s Horses, and her theme song is Ya’aburnee by Halsey. She has so much trauma but she doesn’t even realize it. I would kill and die for her.

alone: How does your OC deal with loneliness? Have they ever been completely alone before? How do they act when there's no one around to see them?

Alasdair has a complicated relationship with being alone. He definitely prefers to be around people who know him and love him not just for being the Double Wise Prince, but those aren't always super common. If he lived a normal life, I don't think he'd enjoy being alone at all. But as it is, he's almost never alone and he's often very lonely. On the occasion that he is alone or alone with Nico, he's a bit freer with his emotions, which can be relaxing because he's often trying to keep anything unpleasant at bay given his Wisdom.

fear: What is your OC's greatest fear? What do they do when confronted with it? Are they open with their fear, or do they hide it away?

His biggest fears are tied to being king. Becoming king and the rest of the kingdom realizing that he's not this amazing savior king that they expect him to be. Becoming king and ending up as ineffective as his father or the past generations of kings. Becoming king and being so trapped within the confines of it that he never actually changes anything.

desire: What's one thing your OC wants more than anything in the world? Are they open with that desire? Why or why not? What would they do to fulfill it?

For Celin, it's to keep all of her loved ones safe forever. The desire you're introduced to first with her is that she wants to be a knight, but it comes down to that core desire to protect, to keep her loved ones safe. And her Wisdom is manifested proof that she would do that at the expense of herself, even at the ruin of herself. She would waver a bit if the price to pay wasn't herself, because she wants to protect others, too; but her highest priority is def her family and found family.

pain: What's the worst pain your OC has ever felt? Do they have a high pain tolerance?

She HAS to have a high pain tolerance right? I think the worst physical pain she's ever experienced was probably the one at the end of the fight to stop the ritual (being super vague bc spoilers). And that was right on the tails of maybe the worst emotional pain at the time so hey!

nightmare: What does your OC have nightmares about? How do they deal with their nightmares? Do they tell people, or keep it to themself?

Nico has a couple different kinds of nightmares: the first are nightmares based on visions he's had of things that haven't...gone well. The vision he told Celin about in the cave behind the waterfall is probably the biggest example of that. The second example is nightmares about going back to Dren Rua and being hated, nightmares of his mother pretty much disowning him.

And yeah he obviously keeps it to himself because it's Nico.

wound: How does your OC handle being wounded? Are their wounds mostly physical? Mental? Emotional? What's the worst wound your OC has ever experienced?

Nico's actually pretty used to being wounded. He's been in...a lot of fights, as a Dren Ruan and as the prince's guard. He knows how to bandage himself up and would like it if his two loved ones would just let him. Mental and emotional wounds he definitely keeps on the inside. Lets them fuel him. It's totally healthy I promise.

And his worst wound is probably the same as Celin's worst pain! (As far as he remembers right now.)

break: What would cause your OC to break down completely? What do they look like when that happens? Has anyone ever seen them at their lowest?

Losing Alasdair. Probably losing Celin now, too. He can keep pushing through with most other things, but if that happened he would probably just...go on a rampage. It would be rough.

15. HEART - What is the last book you cried over?

whew i went to check my goodreads to see if it would jog my memory but nope... i can't remember the last book to make me cry at all. i think i got misty-eyed reading lord of silver ashes but honestly i'm not sure. it takes a LOT for a book to make me cry (in contrast with movies or games, since i cry super easily for them lol).

i remember crying a bit in the last farseer book but goodreads says i read it in 2020, so that probably wasn't my last one. hmmmm

Hero Forge

Comme sur tous les autres blogs de @the-after-eight, j'ai un petit design fait avec Hero Forge. J'ai été très contente de voir avec qu'elle précision j'ai pu avoir Morri : il y a quelques erreurs, comme pour le tatouage, ou le sens de certains détails, mais honnêtement, avec ce site, je ne m'attendais pas à être aussi proche du design de base (comme pour @captain-glucose-sidekick). En plus elle a son harpon de pêche et son hachoir de cuisine ! Normalement, le côté droit de sa tête n'est pas rasé à blanc, et ses cicatrices sont à gauche de son visage. Mais là, avec cette pose, on dirait un peu un fauve enragé je trouves ! ^^
