Not in the actual lyrics, but the perceived-projected lyrics I throw on the song for my fancy, to scold myself that it's really none of my business, so I shouldn't put emotional weight on something out of my hands, that should have been held with loose hands to begin with, to try and bandage a festering wound that'll open and necrose if tugged on too hard.

But, like, put it to a sort of chill mood, because festering storms are only little solitary clouds on a placid ocean in my heart, that's just how I am. In that sort of hypothetical poetical sense XP

6. Are there any good fics, that stay true to canon characteristics, where Jiang Fengmian lives? Specifically ones where the core transfer still happens?

I have this plot in my head that idk when I'll write it cause life right now is chaotic. The story would diverge at the lotus pier attack. JFM would have gotten stabbed trying to save YZY and passed out. Everyone presumes he's dead and YZY dies like canon. He wakes up around the same time WWX & JC comes back but stays still. When everyone leaves the area, he rolls himself into the water and swims to shore. Some how his body isn't noticed to be missing. JC gets captured like canon and WWX collects him with the help of WN. WWX asks WN to collect JC's parents bodies, WN comes back and said he was only able to save YZY body. They presume the JF body was dropped in the lake/burned. JF makes it to JYL and is reunited with JC later. (How would the plot diverge with JF leading lotus pier, being an active general in the war who is senior to everyone else, understanding the benefits of backing WWX, & who may be grateful for WN & WQ help retrieving his wife's body and securing his heirs life).

If anyone wants to write this, please do!! I would love if it stayed true to canon characteristics. @myblurryreality

Hey, a request that has been plaguing my mind for a long time: The sisters's s/o all beeing pregnant at the same time and all the ensuing chaos that comes with it for the sisters, the maids and Alcina.

This is pure chaos and I’m here for it XD let’s get into it! :)

Masterlists

When Bela first announces her partner’s pregnancy, everybody is thrilled

It’s the first time this has happened at the castle- a baby! Belonging to one of the ladies!

Alcina nearly faints from this. She’s going to be a grandmother? She is over the moons!

Then, Cassandra comes up to her, and reveals that her lover too, is pregnant

The two sisters’s lovers are over the moon. They get to experience this together!

Even more excitement ensues

When Daniela too speaks up, Alcina nearly faints again

Three pregnant women? And even worse yet, all three of her daughters being in foul, possessive moods?

She can already smell the trouble and fights she will need to sort between her three “angels”

And right she is

In the first trimester chaos ensues already

It starts simple enough, with everyone flooding the kitchen for snacks

Maidens are overworked to produce the seemingly randomised appetite of the ladies’s pregnant lovers

Alcina is kept awake from the bickering

Oh, but Cassandra was in the kitchens first

But her darling Bela insists she told the maidens to specifically leave the cake out for her

And Daniela? Her sweet Daniela uses the foul advantage of her puppy eyes to attempt to get the cake from Alcina, eager to bring it back to her lover almost as a trophy

Then, of course, there are the hormones

The pregnant women yelling and crying, laughing and giggling, fuming and groaning

Not only theirs, sadly

Possession and hurt, protectiveness and happiness is all thrown together from the three sisters in response to the emotions they are exposed to

Why’d Cassandra have to sleep on the couch?! She only said she loves the baby bump!…before there was one

Now she’s fuming, as well as her lover. Soon enough she is tugged back into the room to serve as an inhuman teddy bear

Oh, and let us not forget Daniela crying at Alcina’s arms because she was exposed to the anger of a pregnant lady

She had merely poked and tickled her a little! And then, suddenly, her giggles angered her love! Why? Nobody knows

But Alcina can finally rest when only ten minutes later Daniela is too tugged back into her bedroom for well deserved cuddling and kisses

And Bela? Poor Bela attempting to juggle with her lover’s emotions after reading a book

A flower was planted, and it shone in the light? Apparently this is crying over

When she points out this is nothing to be upset about, she is chased around with the book

Alcina massages her temple at this

As time goes on, it only grows worse

The cravings of one lover are what has the other two gag, and the other ways around

No dinner can be shared together anymore, the overwhelming scent of the differently craved food too much

Instead, Alcina eats lunch with their three girls sometimes

Then, there is the morning sickness

And, the morning chaos that comes with it

Three fly mutants swarming about and bumping into one another and maidens as they attempt to find buckets and what not, unknowing that the other snatched for their lover

Alcina’s personal terror? When the pregnant women grew nauseous at the smell of blood

This meant baths. A lot of them. Not for her, this wasn’t an issue

But she couldn’t get a single night’s rest with Cassandra groaning and whining loudly at the water,

Or Daniela making a mess and spilling water everywhere

And, of course, with her sweet younger girls killing maidens for touching them despite it being their job. Only their lovers can bathe them, they insist!

Alcina is quickly given the task of bathing her girls again in favour of keeping her staff alive. It isn’t new to her, she’s done it plenty times as they were reborn

For a moment’s worth she considers tasking her eldest with it, then thinks better of it. She’s got too much on her plate already

She wrestles her two daughters nearly each day, trying to keep them inside of the tub when they despise the water. She did not miss this part of parenthood

A comment about this being for the parent of their future child makes them calm a little, only swat the water occasionally and- to Alcina’s annoyance- splash right into their mother’s face

She can’t help a smile though when her daughters only giggle at this. It’s rare she still gets to giggle so childishly with them, they’re so very grown up now

She sometimes misses her little bug babies, and absolutely looks forward to her grandchildren

When the pregnancies come to an end, so does the family’s stress- or so they think

Of course, all three must go into labour within the same hour

Alcina is practically torn, trying to be with all her three daughters and daughters in law at the same time. She wants to be there when her grandchild is born! Or at the very least nearby!

The screaming that day rivals the one in the basement after Cassandra’s had a long day

And yet, all babies are born happily and healthily…and they are a mouthful!

Bela is the first to complain

“Mother, were we so insufferable?”

Alcina only smiles fondly at her eldest

Cassandra is the first to ask Alcina for babysitting duty

She eagerly accepts, though

Daniela, her little angel, brings tears to her golden eyes. Her little one’s middle name is to be “Alcina”

Buddie 604 meta

I feel like I deserve a medal for not making a joke about how, since it was implied in 401 that Eddie stayed at Buck’s during the pandemic, we know at some point Buck will have two ex-roommates who want his body fluids. XD ~~

It’s maybe a small thing, but I enjoyed seeing Ramon advise Eddie on his issue with Chris. It was a lovely callback to their promise in 517 to work on improving their relationship, and it also showed really nice insights from Ramon. I loved it! It’s a nice reminder that 911 for the most part doesn’t vilify people, even when it doesn’t shy away from their faults and failures. It’s also proof this is a show that doesn’t drop things once a storyline seems to have wrapped. I adore that about 911, and I also think it makes every single meaningful thing we’ve witnessed even more significant, because we know the show will return to it sooner or later. Like maybe certain scenes between a couple of firefighters? Maybe... ~~

Buck and Eddie exchanging a meaningful look over seeing this oblivious moron in love at the scene of the ep’s first call is giving me life. The wordless communication, the implied sass, the way they’re so in sync, the irony of them being exactly like him except less aware of their own feelings even if they are more aware of propriety. They’re not even teamed up together, because Chim needs Eddie’s medic experience as long as Hen’s still captain, and yet... Buddie are our hopeless romantic idiot kings, while 911 could give entire courses on how to showcase soulmates in less than a minute. ~~

A continuation of that can also be seen in another call. When Buck recklessly hops on the bike to chase and stop a car by almost getting himself killed in order to save Chim, right away we have Eddie calling out after him. He’s so exasperated with his work husband, he’s not even yelling in order to stop Buck, Eddie’s resigned to his husband’s ways. But a good husband still has to shake his head, much like we saw Eddie doing when Buck boldly insisted on the rope rescue in 316. It’s a part of their love language. ~~

All of that stands in contrast with the rest of the ep, where we don’t get to see Buck and Eddie being their usual self, meaning iconic life partners. The thing is, absence can be loud, and something that really makes this absence stand out rather than fly under the radar is contrast. In other words, we’re meant to notice the absence. That loudness is even amplified with the only scene in this ep where we have Buddie interacting in connection to their personal life. Even though they don’t actually get to consult each other, as they usually do, there’s a lot of intimacy there! For starters, Eddie’s surprised that Buck isn’t weighing in on the new issue with Chris.

This is so uncharacteristic, and we only need to think of the way Buck jumped right in with his objections about summer camp in 318 to see the difference. Eddie also believes that there are things Chris may tell Buck but not him. This man is shown throughout this ep having trouble letting go as his son is growing up to be his own person, and yet the one exception Eddie takes no exception to (sorry, bad pun, I know) is Chris filling Buck in on how he’s really doing. Eddie actually expects that to be the case. It’s a subtle, but oh so real acknowledgement that Buck is Christopher’s other dad and that the two of them have a bond that is not limited to the relationship either one of them has with Eddie. I love it. And lastly, of course Eddie can tell something’s up with Buck, troubling him. But it’s also obvious that Buck’s not ready to talk about it yet, with his quick denial of “no secrets here,” so Eddie, like the good husband that he is, lets him be.

Them suddenly dealing with their personal lives separately very much reminds me of basically the mood of most of season 5a. Buck was kept busy with Taylor and away from Eddie, who ended up struggling with how to be a good parent to Chris without the help of his biggest support, his life partner. It led to Eddie making a rash decision that we all knew he would have to find a way back from. If that’s not enough to make us realize Buck’s decision at the end of this ep is probably the wrong one, we also have him being drunk while getting drunk advice from Hen. The last time that happened (and only other one we saw on screen)? When Buck spiraled in 511 over Eddie leaving, and did something rash and foolish.

I tend to think that’s what we’re going to see with Buck now as well. I already was of the opinion that it doesn’t fit Buck as a person, he just cares too much to be the guy who can walk away. His history with Daniel might influence him to wanna help, do for these parents what he couldn’t for his own, but if he does recognize that connection, could he really help bring a new “Daniel” into this world and then... never have anything to do with that kid? But what makes me even more convinced that this decision will be reversed is the build up, showing Buck coming to this conclusion without consulting the one person he actually already shares his life (and a kid) with, and the way it parallels that storytelling structure we saw in s5. In addition, even the way he verbalized it makes me think this is meant to be seen as the wrong decision. Buck is on this journey to figure himself out, yet at the end of the day his decision to say yes isn’t about himself at all, it’s about Connor and his wife. This is who Buck has always been, the guy putting others ahead of himself. There’s nothing wrong with his big heart and generosity! But in an ep called “Animal Instincts,” this has always been he’s instinct. Now he’s meant to learn to balance it with looking after himself and his own happiness, too. So I might be wrong, but I don’t see it ending here. Taylor was a r/s Buck had to have in order for him to learn how to be the one who leaves, now Connor came to him with this request, and we’re gonna get to see him learning to say no. And just like Buck was a part of Eddie finding his way back during season 5b from his wrong decision, that temporary distance between them leaving them closer than ever, so I expect Buck’s sperm donor arc to be resolved with Eddie’s support and with the two of them getting even closer.

I did ones for the days I missed since the start of this event, because I wanted the excuse to draw more lee!Simon > u >; but I was in a bad mood and felt anxious about submitting art on a slight normal daily basis (and that it's tickle art too XD) so they may not be seen because, y'know, I'm not sure if people will like them so yea

Update 10/7/23: Eepy puppy was too eepy to add a little headcanon so lemme further add on to this :D Betty loves a good chase and Simon, well, he sucks at 'getting away' and is easily caught. So rather than going for the kill, Betty teases him and the anticipation is worse on Simon than the actual chase so this 'encourages' him to get the heck outta dodge for as long as he can.

Funny little tidbit he's picked up, instead of running he tries, and gawd does he fight his instincts, not to run because Betty has this hot wire instinct to chase her husband down to the ends of the earth to get him back in her arms. But this can also be an agonizing dilemma for both parties, mainly Simon, because it means he suffers the lingering presence of his wife 'stalking' him and jabbing at his back to trigger a sprint And for Betty, she doesn't want to end the fun when her 'prey' is within reach haha

He had ran his fingers through you hair and shut his eyes. Then you blew a raspberry and he is just silent.

You go from giggly to quiet, worried he doesn't find it funny.

You slowly raise your face to see but one look at him and you let out a relieved laugh. He is smiling warmly, his eyes full of amusement.

"Only you amore" he says with a chuckle and places a kiss on your forehead.

"Now then I'm going in the garden" He is still smiling lovingly at you as he places his hand under your chin. "Or would you like to finish what you started?"

Secondo

Secondo is shocked... really shocked. His mouth falls open and he just stares at you. He doesn't know what to do, he just kind sits there for a while. Then eventually he starts to smile before laughing loudly.

He'd vows to get you back at some point and do the exact same to you.

He'd make sure that it's long enough since the incident that you have forgotten. You won't see it coming.

Except he takes it further, he properly sets the mood, lights some candles. He'd undress you ever so slowly and kiss his way down your front to do the exact same thing.

His serious front would crack and he'd start to giggle then full on laugh.

Once he'd calmed down enough he'd pull you close to him and kiss you passionatly. "Shall we finish what you started?" There was supposed to be a little hint of a threat in it, like he was going to punish you for last time. But he's still laughing and it just doesn't quite have that edge he wanted.

Terzo

He finds it hilarious, he has a tear in his eye he is laughing so heard.

But you've started something now... It becomes your little in joke whether you want it to or not.

Terzo likes to blow a raspberry on your tummy at the most ridiculous times. It could be during hot steamy times with him or just you getting out of the shower...

One time Terzo runs in from nowehere, he should be at work. You are at work and he just blows a raspberry on your tummy. You can see the other siblings looking a little shocked. Then he runs off giggling all the way back to his office. He just starts chuckling at random points during his day thinking of the memory.

After that you do have a loving word with him that maybe it should be saved for when it's just you two.

It tickles, so a little squeak escapes him followed by giggles.

You decide to blow another raspberry and he starts doing a mixture of rat noises and laughter while gently trying to push you off.

"Cara please, it errr tickles, please give me a rest" He is laughing even more as he goes to try and tickle you.

He gets you and you start laughing, it ends in a tickling fight chasing each other round the room and eventually ending up lying on the floor laughing hysterically.

At this point he reaches out for you "I promise it's not to tickle you, you can trust me sì?" He pulls you close to him "I love you cara, such a ghoulish sense of humour you have." he says fondly before kissing you.

Old Nihil

He is very excited and then you blow the raspberry on his tummy

He honestly thinks it's part of the foreplay and waits for you to carry on.

He just gazes at you, in a totally adoring manner. Then, at last, he realises the joke and laughs. “Very funny sibling. Oh to be young and silly again…”

He gives you puppy dog eyes and hopes you will continue.

He is still utterly besotted by you and he gives you suggestive looks all day. Even if he has forgotten exactly why he needs you so badly right now.

Young Nihil

He is devastated and I mean devastated. He looks at you shocked like he's been denied something.

"Babe... babe come on please... that's not even funny..." He looks at you pleadingly.

"Don't tease your Papa like this, I mean it's just... you are still going to right?"

you are tempted to point out that he's acting like a big baby. But he just flashes you that smile, the one he knows you can't resist.

"Why don't we take this to the bedroom" He leans down and kisses you in such a way that he knows you will just melt for him. "How can I resist someone as amazing as you."

1) I understood, I just wasn't feeling it too much.

3) Glauk is a good mer to bother if you want to know more about Magus. They're genuine friends, even if Magus is oftentimes too much of a nasty grump to be nicer to Glauk.

4) He's vaguely disgusted by the concept of burning food, but he'll sooner come around to the concept of seasoning as a whole. You can introduce him to brand new flavors! Although he hates sweetness.

Magus is packing something quite long, as is necessary for his species. There is no way you'll ever fit all of that inside you, not even if he was shrunk to your level. It's very slippery and wriggling and looks almost ribbon-like. In great contrast to the rest of his body, it glows brightly in the water. Magus' orgasms are lengthy and your little body definitely can't handle it all.

Breathtaking, that you are.

That was Ayato's line of thought as his silver blue eyes intently followed your form as you walked out of his study room after discussing a work-related issue with him, seemingly satisfied with its results.

You were about to step through the doors, but you decided to give him a quick glance for a moment and your gaze met his carefully narrowed ones, looking intently at your retreating form.

The eye contact was brief, short enough to leave him hanging as you flashed him a small, polite grin before turning your head. As you left, the shoji doors closing behind you with a soft click.

In that small fleeting moment, Ayato felt his blood was set ablaze. His heart pounded loudly in his chest, ringing in his ears; a welcome sensation that was starting to be a permanent side effect of spending time with you. Perhaps this exhilaration felt very close to the experience of chasing a...prey. 

But there was a different tinge to thisーwhatever this is. Something new, enticing, unique and...deliciously addicting. 

“...My, how interesting.” Amused, he muttered to himself quietly.

A spate of distracting thoughts took over his mind as he resumed his work.

Despite the turbulent emotions simmering under his skin, the leader of the Yashiro Commission maintained his façade of quiet excellence as he carried out his duties with enough enthusiasm befitting his coveted position. 

As his body moved mechanically to sign his paperworks with practiced ease, his mind wandered to a thought that seemed impossible.

...Was he the one being hunted? Was it possible that you were the one luring him in...? 

Ayato's grin widened a fraction, a sign of danger according to Thoma himself, and the same grin that sometimes earned the housekeeper's vocal derision.

Ayato revels in the excitement of these nascent, but strong feelings you brought him. He enjoyed your small talks, fleeting moments together and the soft touches that ranked on your skin a little bit more. Though Thoma and Ayaka had always been Ayato’s accomplices in a lot of his plans, his soft-spoken younger sister and bold housekeeper's methods were often quite contrary to Ayato’s. The three of them worked rather well together, but recently, Ayato was finding it equally fun being around with someone like you.

The physical closeness that was becoming more and more frequent of late was also a very welcome turn. Every touch you shared felt like seething fire to his skin, scorching deep and deep in his heart until he would find himself unconsciously coiling back as Ayato often catches himself idly thinking about your reaction if he kissed your lips or bit your neck. 

He wondered how it would feel to hold your much breakable form in his arms and let his hands wander around your body. How adorable your reactions would be when he had you writhing beneath him and groaning out his name.

These rather...inappropriate thoughts kept him awake at night as he anticipated the new day that you would surely bring him new sensations and intrigue. Yet every time you parted ways, Ayato found his mood would turn a bit irritable, mind and heart almost immediately missing your presence by his side.

He could not pinpoint why he felt this way. Why his heart would soar at your smile, his skin aflame when your actions and attention was directed at him. And only him. You drew him in further and further like a moth to a flame, and now...he found himself utterly...hopelessly captivated. 

Him, a fearsome warriorーlithe, influencial and powerful, now at the mercy of a seemingly simple and unimpressive human. 

Ayato chuckled ruefully, crossing his arms, as he realised he rather liked being brought to his knees by you. He was rather curious to see if you could do more to him. If you could make him feel more of this smoldering...desires. 

The thought sent a thrill down his body. What would you plan to do next? How would you drive him crazy afterwards? There was never a dull moment when being with you, and Ayato was thoroughly smitten.

For a moment, he considered consulting Thoma or Ayaka about this. But he purged the thought almost instantly. 

Ayato would rather keep the electric feelings sparking between him and you a secret. 

At least for now.

Some things could wait. He was a very patient and kind man in any way. There was no need to rush.

...After all, it would make the chase all the more thrilling.

2023 Favorites

I'm kinda glad I was keeping track of what I watched, in retrospect, because looking back over my posts this year, I realized I forgot about a lot of stuff. XD After looking over the recaps and excluding rewatches, here's my top ten New Stuff I Watched for 2023:

10. Cabinet Of Curiosities

Bizarre nightmares unfold in eight tales of terror in a visually stunning, spine-tingling horror collection curated by Guillermo del Toro.

If GDT is your guy, give this a watch. Creature features, cursed objects, aliens, you name it. 8/8 tentacled eldritch abominations.

9. Wolf Creek

Three backpackers stranded in the Australian outback are plunged inside a hellish nightmare of insufferable torture by a sadistic psychopathic local.

Holy shit, this was intense. And as I said initially, so mean. If you're into Texas Chainsaw Massacre, try this. I'm into franchise bingo, so I'm going to look into the sequels and TV series. 3/3 heads on a stick.

8. Requiem For A Dream

The drug-induced utopias of four Coney Island people are shattered when their addictions run deep.

I get the feeling this is one of those that hurts so much more on rewatching, so there's that to look forward to. I've also rarely seen movies that do so much harmonizing between the music and the visuals, and it was so satisfying. 4/4 refrigerator jump scares.

7. Evil Dead Rise

A twisted tale of two estranged sisters whose reunion is cut short by the rise of flesh-possessing demons, thrusting them into a primal battle for survival as they face the most nightmarish version of family imaginable.

This was probably the most fun I had with a horror movie all year, TBH. Horror exploring family dynamics will always be a fave, and this brought plenty of fresh stuff to the franchise while also holding onto the core traits. 5/5 Staffenies.

6. Dungeons and Dragons: Honor Among Thieves

A charming thief and a band of unlikely adventurers embark on an epic quest to retrieve a lost relic, but things go dangerously awry when they run afoul of the wrong people.

This was the most fun I had watching a movie all year, period. If you know nothing about DND, it's a good fantasy movie. If you're a DND nerd, the game mechanics are baked into it. If you're a fan of found families, guess what! 6/6 stealth checks.

5. Cowboy Bebop

A ragtag crew of bounty hunters chases down the galaxy's most dangerous criminals. They'll save the world--for the right price.

I got exactly what I wanted out of this, so haters be damned. The anime is a masterpiece and a classic, but if you're not in the mood for the existentialism and other heavier themes, here ya go. 3/3 shower-bath-showers.

4. The Black Phone

After being abducted by a child killer and locked in a soundproof basement, a 13-year-old boy starts receiving calls on a disconnected phone from the killer's previous victims.

Near perfect, as far as I'm concerned. The older I get, the more kids-in-danger as a concept fucks with me, making this the most stressful movie I watched this year (though It Chapter One gave it a run for its money, and I still think they would make a great double feature). 5/5 black balloons.

3. Evil Dead (2013)

Five friends head to a remote cabin, where the discovery of a Book of the Dead leads them to unwittingly summon up demons living in the nearby woods.

It's gnarly. It's badass. I almost puked. I had THE BEST time. The story works as an effective allegory, the effects are gruesomely awesome, and the finale is metal af. Plain and simple. 70,000/70,000 gallons of fake blood.

2. The Crow

A man brutally murdered comes back to life as an undead avenger of his and his fiancée's murder.

Beautiful, sad, aesthetic for days, hella good soundtrack. *chef kiss* I still haven't seen The Batman, but they seem visually similar, so if you like that, you'll probably like this. For more in-depth thoughts, read my post. 1/1 epic rooftop guitar solos.

1. The Fall Of The House Of Usher

To secure their fortune (and future) two ruthless siblings build a family dynasty that begins to crumble when their heirs mysteriously die, one by one.

Not just a new favorite Mike Flanagan. A new favorite in general, and my number one for the year. I just screamed about this one last month, and I don't have anything more to add. I've seen Succession comparisons, and while I have no idea how accurate that is, there's my "if you like that, here's this." Holy crap. 7/7 deadly sins personified.

Oh DO tell me more about the Eveni LU little drabbly thing

You know what, I’ll just show you the part I actually wrote out, since the beginning bit is actually pretty well done.

There’s more to it then this obviously, but this is the part that one night I just wrote out because I was in the mood. this is what I do when I’m bored XD

(For those unaware, Eveni is Link (Twilight in this case) and Midna’s son.)

Link sprints through the portal with a hand held tightly to his son.

That black lizalfos had nearly killed him, killed them both, and the portal was the last place to go. He’s bleeding from a slice to his arm and his head is spinning from dark magic, but Eveni is unhurt, and that’s all that matters.

He breathes in shakily as he holds his son to his chest, looking up at their new surroundings.

They’re in a forest, but it’s much different from the one they were in before jumping through the portal. It’s smaller, younger, and deciduous trees instead of pines, late afternoon sunlight shining through their leaves.

It’s also fall. Which is odd, because it had been late spring where he’d just been.

“Huh,” he says absently, making sure the sling securing Eveni to his chest is tight, “well that’s a might strange.”

His son babbles in seeming agreement.

Link no more hears the presence behind him then senses it, leaping out of the way as a blade suddenly swings through the portal. Eveni shrieks and he bolts, noting that he’s not on any sort of trail or anything as he sprints.

Leaves crunch under his feet and roots stick up from the ground to try and trip him, but he can’t afford to slow down. He can still hear the lizalfos chasing him, and while it’d be so much faster to be a wolf, it’s also a lot harder to hold a baby when you don’t have arms.

Something swipes at his face and as Link jerks to avoid it he stumbles, and claws gouge into the back of his knee.

He sprawls to the ground with a cry, turning and clutching Eveni so he doesn’t hurt him inadvertently, and winces as he lies in the dirt for a second. Link hears footsteps and begins to scramble for his shield when his world lurches, something throwing him backwards and pinning him to a large tree.

And snatching Eveni out of his arms.

Link shouts as the black lizalfos steps forward, holding up his baby as it looks at him with an almost amused expression.

Eveni begins to cry.

“Let him go,” Link nearly roars, but whatever is holding him does not budge even from his in no way measly strength. It’s magic or something— there’s nothing visibly holding him back. “I’m who you’re after let him go he’s done nothing—!”

The lizalfos grins and peels back the blanket, licking its chops.

Link feels an all-encompassing fear crash over him and he shouts with pure panic and rage as he pulls with all his might to break free, struggling madly and feeling utterly helpless as the lizalfos looks hungrily at his son.

An arrow slams into the lizard’s knee.

It screeches, and the magic holding Link fades enough for him to break himself free and leap at the monster, kicking and clawing at its face. It hisses angrily but Link manages to grab his son out of its grasp, holding him close as he scrambles backwards.

He takes a second to thank the spirits Eveni is okay, then grabs for his sword as he tries to soothe the wailing baby and also keep an eye on the lizalfos.

But the last of these ends up being unnecessary.

The lizalfos is already gone, no sign of it but a trail of black blood leading off into the woods. In it’s place are three hylians, one holding a bow, who are looking at him with wide, concerned eyes. Several more are charging into the woods, and Link assumes they’re chasing the escaped monster.

“Sir is your baby okay?” asks one, a short kid with a green bandana in his fringe. He takes a hesitant step forward. “Are you okay?”

Link shuffles back, unsure of what to think of these men. They must have shot the monster, but he’s in a completely unfamiliar location and situation here.

And his head is still spinning from having watched Eveni nearly die.

“Wh... do you...” he asks, clutching his son and ignoring how there’s blood running down both his arm and leg now. “Where am I?”

A large man, wearing armor that’s eerily familiar, holds out a placating hand, sheathing his sword with the other.

“A place called Akkala, or so I’m told,” he says gently, obviously trying to calm Link down, “We’re hunting the lizalfos... or perhaps he’s hunting us. I’m sure you’ve noticed it’s not a regular one of its kind.”

Link bares his teeth in a snarl without meaning to as he thinks of how the monster grabbed Eveni, and the men inch back a bit. He pushes down the growl in his throat and sighs, suddenly exhausted.

“It... chased us through some portal,” he says, blinking tiredly. “Was going for me. Specifically.”

The teenager with the bow glowers. “How many more of us is it going to drag into this? Can’t it just leave us alone already?”

Eveni lets out another wail and Link turns his attention fully to him, holding him closer and gently soothing him.

“Hey, hey it’s okay buddy it’s okay, Daddy’s got you, he’s gone,” he whispers, and his son’s wailing slowly fades to more quiet whimpers. The man in the armor steps closer then, and offers him a cautious hand. Link takes it, stumbling with his bad leg, and the man doesn’t let go once he’s upright, giving him a concerned look-over.

Link meets his eye (the other is closed, a scar marring the lid) and for some reason... he feels that he can completely trust the man in front of him.

“Thank you for assisting me,” Link says gratefully, giving the man’s arm a squeeze. “You helped protect my son, and I can’t thank you enough for that.”

The man nods, and gives him a small smile. “Our pleasure. I’m glad he’s okay. Both of you.”

Eveni rubs his face up to Link’s chest with a whimper, and he shushes him again, running a hand over his head.

You’re okay, you’re okay.

“Hey, is your name Link?” the teenager with the bow abruptly asks. Link snaps his head up and stares at him, his already confused brain not quite up to figuring that one out.

“Wh— yes..? How’d you... do I know you?” he asks in confusion, and the kid with the bandana lets out a small laugh.

“We’ll explain, but uh, why don’t you sit and drink a potion first. You’re looking sort of... pale.”

Link doesn’t hesitate long before agreeing. These people, though they’re obviously all well-equipped fighters, don’t mean him any harm, and helped with protecting Eveni (which makes them more than okay in his book). They seem to be adventurers similar to himself, if he’d have to take a guess, or possibly monster hunters of some sort. Not to mention...

...there’s an odd sense of familiarity about them as well.

But Link is too tired to dwell on it much, so he merely follows the group, brushing a spot of blood off Eveni where it dripped from his arm.

The mystery can wait for now.

As for their honeymoon, I initially wanted them to have a mini world tour but someone on discord mentioned the idea of them going to Hawaii and I loved it hahaha, the petty part of myself wanted it just to spite on Zoey XD

Imagine all funny scenarios this could bring:

Zoey and Chase go to Hawaii to make up to what they lost, without knowing that's Logan and Quinn's honeymoon destination. Not wanting to interrupt their friends' peace (bc they know they won't be having much time for that on the next two years), they spend the majority of their stay hiding and getting their moments ruined by Quogan lol

Like let's pretend they can afford a room next to theirs, and the banging on the wall plus their friends not even bothering to stay quiet (as they should, it's their honeymoon and they need to enjoy all the time they can before Quinn is busy with work again for the next two years) would not let them get in the mood or even sleep well XD

Having rooms close also meant having to be careful and having to sneak out, and Chase being clumsy af would probably knock so many things on the way out of nervousness when they hear a sound.

Choey a trying to enjoy a romantic dinner but Logan and Quinn enter the restaurant, leading to a frantic game of hide-and-seek around the place, dodging waitstaff and trying not to ruin their special night. Kinda like Dinner for Two Many, but this time it's Logan and Quinn who interrupt the date. And Quogan is unaware the whole time and do actually enjoy their time.

They keep accidently getting on the same activities as Logan and Quinn and having to find a way to blend with the people or sneak out.

At the end of the vacation and honeymoon, Logan and Quinn do discover them, maybe on the way to the airport, but they're not mad or anything, they're like "oh hey, we didn't know you were here. We could have had a went out for a double date or something :)" they're probably just being nice, Logan is definitely glad they didn't come across them and he got to enjoy Quinn all to himself

Quogan had the time of their lives, so many romantic moments and a hella lot of sex, they were dedicated to each other and were on their little happy bubble.

Choey not so much lmao.

Why didn't they just let them know they were there and simply stay away? Idk, they're dumb like that.

Wherever Choey stayed together or the stress/miserable time made them break up is up to you, I personally hope they realize they really don't work or it was a sign for them to not be together idk, I don't vibe with them as a couple

You wondered to yourself when you watched Floyd run off before you could arrive. You’ve been busy with assignments all week and you really wanted a squeeze right now. A squeeze from your boyfriend. A little crazy how the tweels ended up dating you, but here we are. And here he was, chasing after Riddle. Again.

You had texted him yesterday about how excited you were to see him today. This whole week was a mess. Mess, mess, mess. You wanted to spend the day with him and he was chasing after another man. It’s silly, but it somehow pissed you off. 

Were your texts not clear that you really wanted to go on a date today? Was he being ignored? Was he doing it on purpose? Or was he bored of you? He sounded so happy when you called him this morning. Was he going through a mood swing again? 

He was like this every so often. He’d just up and disappear until he was in a happy mood again. Was that what was happening? But it feels different now. He feels so distant. Why now?

It's not like he was too busy today. The lounge was past rush hour and a few employees were serving the remaining customers and cleaning the tables. Jade should have been free right now. He often was at this time. You would know, you’ve come to the lounge at least once a week at this time.

You both would get a V.I.P. table near the back and chat the night away. Your days, the crazy amounts of homework, mindless gossip. You weren’t ever bored in his presence and he didn’t seem bored. Even though you both were in the same establishment, Jade felt so far away.

When he disappeared in the backroom, you couldn’t help, but wonder why these things were happening. Was he actually busy or covering something up? Were they both avoiding you on purpose? The Leech twins were known for their manipulation, so is that what’s going on here? Were you being tricked? Was this whole relationship a trap and you walked straight onto it?

You could have waited for your boyfriends to return. You could send them a text, telling them you want to talk. You could. But you don’t want to. You felt your chest tighten with the possible situations spinning and spiraling in your head. You don’t want to face either of them right now. Instead, you beeline back to Ramshackle dorm. Your safespace and the closest thing you could call yours. 

Floyd and Jade were both inside the backroom of Mostro Lounge. They were worried for a certain magicless prefect. “What’s up with Shrimpy?” Floyd asked, “They’ve been all pouty the past week.” 

Jade pulls his phone out of his pocket and checks it. “They haven’t texted me today. However,” Jade puts the phone away, “they had come to the Lounge earlier. You had texted me at the same time, so I had to tell them I was busy.” 

Floyd whined, “Why wouldn’t you ask them when they came?” “You had texted me, and I quote “SHRIMPY IS DROWNING. BACKROOM NOW.” Now, it could only make sense I’d be worried if you told me MC was drowning, even though they clearly weren’t.” 

“Anyways, I accidentally skipped out on a date with MC earlier today because Azul asked for something, something Riddle. So yea, I needed to find Shrimpy so I texted you.” Floyd’s carefree attitude drops, “But you sent them away.” 

“How cruel, you had asked me to enter the backroom. Plus, care to explain why you had told me they were drowning?”

The arguing continued into the night. As did the somber atmosphere inside Ramshackle dorm. One could only wonder ‘Why?’.
