Oh god I miss the others...poor Gregory, he's never been away from me for so long...

Ahem, anyway.

Right now I have Sean of course, then I brought in Mocks the Mimikyu as it is able to use Mimic, then some new ones include Pads the Pawmot as my new source of slowing down Pokemon for me to research and defend me if need be, and then Legs the Toedscool in order to hold down Pokemon for medical research or if I need samples.

I have a few new research subjects as well, Legs being one of them in the whole Covergent species with Tentacool (now I have to capture one) and I am looking into terastalizing, but I need to find the right Pokemon for it first. More research subjects to come as well.

I wanted to work on some pokemon teams for thsc characters, But drawing pokemon can be very time consuming. So I just kinda made some edits for the main five to show their teams.

Note that while some pokemon choices were based on personality/headcanons/etc, Others were just based on vibes and what I think they'd use.

Some explanations and semi story stuff under the cut (Warning: Long):

Henry:

None of the pokemon that Henry caught were exactly planned.

Before BtB, Henry never even considered himself a trainer. The absolute most he had done at this point was mock battles with Gabe using their parent's pokemon when they were kids.

Absol started following him around before BtB (And if you know anything about Absol, You probably know what that means for Henry).

Mimikyu was found huddled in the same bag that Henry was using as a disguise.

Gimmighoul was already in the vault when Henry got there, Attempting to steal a few coins.

Henry got a break from finding new pokemon during EtP. But during StD, He found Sableye clinging to the diamond he was going to steal.

He never actually caught the Celebi. They apparently took a liking to Henry and used their time travel abilities to help him.

He's still not a very good battler.

Ellie:

Ellie was your typical trainer going on a journey before things got really out of hand. She got herself caught up in some crime before getting sent to the Wall.

Braxien was her starter and Roselia was her first caught pokemon.

She used the Cyclizar napping outside of the wall to help her and Henry escape. She then got attached and kept him.

The Amaura was a "Weird rock" she found shortly after escaping the Wall.

Despite her kinda small team, Ellie is a good battler. She's in the process of teaching Henry (It's going kinda slowly).

Charles:

Charles is one of those people who personally believes pokemon shouldn't be kept in their pokeballs as often as they are and rarely keeps his own in them. He isn't exactly vocal about this opinion though.

Flygon was Charles' very first pokemon. The two are extremely in sync, Charles doesn't even need to order an attack out loud sometimes, Flygon already knows!

While Charles prefers keeping pokemon that can be out and flying with him while he's in his helicopter, Lycanroc is an exception. That's his dog.

Charles got Corviknight sometime after joining the military.

Nobody knows for sure how Charles got a hold of a Latias. If you ask him, He'll just say "She followed me while I was flying one day."

He prefers to keep battles professional and doesn't participate in regular battles very often. He has some of the highest level pokemon of the main five (Also he has a legendary so it's not exactly very fair).

Reginald:

Reginald takes great pride in having some of the most well cared for pokemon. He'll brag about it for hours, Much to other's annoyance.

His starter was Meowscarada (They have the same goddamn pose lol) and Honchcrow was the first pokemon he caught.

Milotic was a gift from Right. He wasn't very good at catching pokemon yet, So he could only manage to catch a Feebas. Reg still very much appreciated it.

People joke that Reg caught Thievul because they have matching mustaches.

His pride and joy, Diancie, Was originally a Carbink. They transformed into a Diancie during the "leadership battle" against Terrence.

He's probably a better battler than a physical fighter. Although, He's the type to overthink things and accidentally give the opponent the advantage.

RHM:

Right was raised by a family who didn't like/didn't want him to have pokemon. As a result, He didn't have a single one when he joined the Toppats. He didn't want to admit it, But he was a little scared of pokemon and the idea of being a trainer for a while.

Blaziken was his starter but he didn't get him until joining the Toppats.

Sylveon was a gift from Reginald. Despite the two's rivalry when they first met, Reg didn't want Right to be stuck with an uncertain relationship with his own pokemon. And since Eevee was a great pokemon for beginners, It was pretty much perfect. You'd think it's funny for a guy like Right to have a Sylveon, But you won't be laughing when you get hit by a moonblast.

Stoutland was the first pokemon (Besides the Feebas for Reg) Right caught on his own.

The Mudsdale is because of the cowboy vibes.

Right struggled as a battler at first, But pretty quickly got the hang of it. He's very adamant about not using mega evolution, Z moves, etc, Much to Reg's disappointment. To quote Right "I ain't gonna use any cheap gimmicks." Looking at his Blaziken however, That might just change someday.

1. Favorite Type

POISON!!!! i LOVE poison types!!!! they're so fun to use, and so many of their designs are so COOL, and i love how many resistances they have!!!! adding the poison type always makes a pokemon more fun to use, imo!!! i've loved them even before they got on offensive use with fairy types!!!! them being defensive is enough for me :D plus a lot of my favorites happen to be poison types, like trubbish, zubat, and drapion!!

3. Favorite Dual Type

oooooo this is HARD!! hm... pre-gen 6 dark/ghost is fun... i really enjoy poison/dark with their one weakness to ground, and ground/steel is also super fun, like excadrill!

but i think my overall favorite has gotta be poison/ground, like clodsire and the nidos!! the resistances of poison types (my favorite defensive type and fave type overall), and the offensive power of ground types (my favorite offensive type and second favorite type overall)!! and i mean. how can i ever say no to STAB earthquake.

11. Favorite Trial (Sun & Moon)

hrmmm. it's been a while since i've played gen 7... i think my favorite is the ghost trial!! it's a creative concept, with the photos, even if it's along the same vein of "get Things and battle pokemon and then Final Battle" that every trial and many gyms follow, and i mean. i love the mimikyu room. it's a nice touch!!

15. Favorite Shiny Pokémon

OH JEEZ... minior. i love shiny minior so much, even if it's kinda hard to see it when you have one.

honorable mentions to shiny suicune, shiny wooloo, and shiny hisuian zorua/zoroark, which is Significant because i don't really like shiny unovan zorua/zoroark very much.

21. Favorite Legendary/Mythical Pokémon

uhhHHHHHH....... suicune!!! it's so nice looking, i love when it appears in the anime (barring... anything that happened in journeys i can't speak for that) and it's so nice!! shiny suicune specifically.

honorable mention to landorus therian. i like how its paws have those flattened claws on them, like for digging! because it tills the land! and also... landorus therian. vgc moments.

23. Favorite Music Track From A Pokémon Game

VILLAGE BRIDGE. ABSOLUTELY VILLAGE BRIDGE. when i first found village bridge i adored its music, and then i found the musicians !!!!!! aaaa!!!!!!!!!! and i love that it has lyrics. people often cite roxie as the first in-game pokemon soundtrack to have words/lyrics, but she's not!! village bridge is!!!! i adore this song it is so near and dear to my heart

everyone please listen to the village bridge with buildup. oughhghh.

mmmm..... volcarona. love that bug :D the design is really nice, and it's so fun to use!! bulk AND power, and quiver dance?? HELL yeah!!!

HYDREIGON!!!!! ohhhh hydreigon my best friend. i love them so much, they're so fun to use and busted, but it feels like a REWARD when you can use one, and the way they're used for subtle storytelling in the gen 5 games makes me CRAZY god i love gen 5 and i love this big ol dragon.

zubat (it's a really good pokemon to use once it gets wing attack, or right away with recent gen leech life, and we shouldn't blame them for being in caves. they live there. they're bats!!!)

No but i’m thinking about how the twst cast (especially the first years) gonna react when mc’s Sylveon or any other cute looking fairy type like Mimikyu can one-shot their dragon type or intimidate said dragon into submission

The cute, sparkly, soft colored pokemon is being all affectionate with the big ferocious dragon, nuzzling into its side

And the big mean dragon is trembling and keeping still, groaning as they show clear discomfort on their face

Jack looks on with concern. "MC, don't you think it needs to stop?"

"No," they answer swiftly, "It's much better if I introduce them and make them socialize often, as long as I'm supervising. Else they will keep seeing each other like a menace and won't work well together."

HELLO! WHAT KINDS OF OBSERVATIONS DO SCIENTISTS MAKE? - LEADER

I do different kinds of observations depending on the Pokemon and the subject that I’m working on with them. So for Mocks it would be how much power it can put out in a Z-move in total, while with Werth and Soust would be in the environmental differences that they have and doing a bit of a compare and contrast. I have also been studying Pokerus but it is sometimes difficult to study, as I cannot keep one Pokemon sick with it without them eventually healing, as it can be damaging to their health and well being.

First years who get along with Pokémon:

The first years got used to the sight of Pokemon in the school, what they didn’t expect to get used to was when some of her Pokemon started hanging around them.

Ace + Swablu

“Would you get off?! My hair is not a nest for you!”

It's no secret that Swablu finds Ace, or most likely his hair, a very comfortable nesting spot. No matter how soft the wings were there was a time and place for perching on his head. He wouldn't have minded when it was just private but Swablu does it every time it sees him.

He's getting embarrassed in public with how uncool he looks with something soft and adorable on his head. He can't deny that Swablu is cute but he prefers to look cool.

Even though Phoebe tells him that Swablu is just as strong, he can't get over the plushy look.

Deuce + Staraptor

“This is so cool! Riding it feels like a magical wheel but in the air!”

Deuce can relate to Staraptor on a few things, the rivalry, both want to make their moms proud, and can go feral to protect their friends. Deuce finds the Pokémon cool, it has a badass look and the way it fights in the air is incredible. He can only imagine what it felt like to ride it.

Wish granted. Phoebe shoves Deuce onto Staraptor's back and off they went. He was terrified at first but after thinking it's like a riding a broom, he was able to get used to it. The wind on his face felt really nice and the view from above was breathtaking.

He wished he had the ability to tame something as cool as Staraptor. The Pokémon adores Deuce and would often times greet him by picking him up by the shoulders and fly off. That is one thing that Deuce does NOT enjoy but he can't stay mad at Staraptor.

Jack + Bewear

“I can’t go five feet without seeing you in the area, can I?... Ugh, fine you can tag along, just don’t hug me right now...”

He underestimated how strong Bewear is, despite the cute appearance it was a powerhouse. Phoebe got tired of him saying that Bewear looked soft but after taking up her offer to have him spar with the Pokémon he kept his mouth shut.

The "soft" paws hit him so hard his feet left skid marks on the dirt when he tried to tank the hit. Bewear is very doting towards Jack though, giving him a careful bear hug and patting his head as if it was one of it's cubs.

Bewear likes to follow Jack whenever it spots him. The faster Jack tried to run to avoid it, Bewear caught up to his speed which was amusing for those who saw it but terrifying for Jack. The only time Jack appreciates Bewear was when one of the Savannaclaw students mocked him for playing with a teddy bear, Bewear ran up to the student with lightning speed and smacked him on the back of the head. The impact made a small crater.

Epel + Mimikyu

“Who knew that a lil guy like you can be so strong!”

Mimikyu took a liking to Epel for some reason. Maybe it sensed how he wants to be seen as strong but is always called fragile and dainty. Epel thought Mimikyu looked frail at first but after seeing how it knocked out some thugs who tried to pick it up, he's changed his opinion.

He has no idea where Mimikyu pops out from and he is startled every time. He got used to it happening though and calms down when he realizes it was Mimikyu. Epel carving Mimikyu on an apple is adorable and the Pokémon is grateful for his gift. Little thing holds his hand with it's shadow hand. Mimikyu tried carving apples but due to the lack of opposable thumbs it came out sloppy, but it tried its best!

Sebek + Politoed

“Lilia-sama, please don’t open that door! That green menace is back to torment me and young master- LILIA-SAMA GET YOUR HAND AWAY FROM THE DOOR-!!!”

Phoebe didn't expect her Politoed to warm up to Sebek of all people. The one who talks in caps and every word in his dictionary is "waka-sama". The happy Pokémon hopping right up to Sebek and hugging his leg to say hello was an amusing sight for Lilia and Phoebe, Sebek is not amused though.

He yells at it to go away one time but Politoed thought it was a game and Hyper Voiced back at him which was the only time he was forced to use indoor voice for the duration of the day.

Politoed is very welcomed at Diasomnia, it likes to hop over Silver who is napping, chasing Lilia through the dorm to play hide and seek. The one time Malleus sees Sebek trying to pry Politoed off, the horned-fae was greeted by Politoed who shook his hand and danced around him.

Sebek took Malleus' silence as offense and proceeded to chase Politoed who happily ran off. Malleus wasn't offended... He was just so touched by the friendliness that he was shocked into silence.

Steve AU Pokemon

The young man is not a very good fighter, because he doesn't really like to make fight his Pokemons. He prefers to be seen as a trainer who likes to take care of his Pokemons and become their friends. He also captures very few Pokemons, with whom a connection will be created, but mostly, he preferres to leave them free in the wild. When he was little he wanted to become a Pokemon raiser, to take care of those who are abandoned or in need of rest and love.

Mimikyu: When he was a kid he wanted a Pikachu because it was a Pokemon who was fashionable. But, since it was also a common Pokemon, his parents wanted him to have another more rare or luxurious creature. Sad, Steve would often go for walks in the woods surrounding his house, especially when his parents were away for work and he was under the supervision of a nanny. It is during one of them that he will come across Mimikyu, who he will take for a Pikachu. Steve will be so happy to have found the Pokemon he was dreaming of, that he will start talking and sympathizing with this strange Pikachu. Mimikyu, happy to be loved and to have found a human who is not afraid of them, will let themself be captured. And even when Steve finds out that it is not a Pikachu but another Pokemon, he will continue to love his Mimikyu, who will have become one of his best friends.

Cinccino: It was originally a Minccino, that Steve received as a gift from his parents when he was a child. They were chosen because of their fur which is quite luxurious, and also because they are a neat freak. Steve and Mimikyu often quarreled and fought against Minccino/Cinccino, who attacked them when they returned from a walk into the woods or one of them (oftenly Steve) left dirty things lying around. Still, Steve likes his Pokemon very much, especially since when Steve was older and no longer needed a nanny, Cinccino would take care of the cleaning of the house and take care of Steve, when he was sick or sad/anxious. He knows that Cinccino is there for him and will take care of him, like himself, will be there for his Pokemon when something can happen to them.

Milotic: It was during a fishing trip, one summer, with his friend Tommy, that the two young boys caught a Feebas. Although it is Tommy who found the Pokemon, it is Steve who will capture them, due to the fact that Tommy found Feebas "too ugly and they look stupid". Steve, who also found this Pokemon weird, developed an affection for the creature, who reminded him a little of his friend Mimikyu. Also, what was his surprise when, by presenting his new Pokemon to his parents, they congratulated him on his find (it was one of the few times when his father was proud of him). They explained to their son that this Pokemon was extremely rare and that they can evolved into a Milotic, if Steve takes care of them and pampers them. Although it took a long time, Steve will manage to evolve Feebas into Milotic.

Whimsicott: This wild Pokemon was fluttering in the air when they entered the Harrington's house, whose windows were wide open. They will venture into the house, visiting the rooms one by one, while spilling cotton on their way. They will eventually be discovered by Cinccino, who angry at seeing so much dirt, will fight against the other Pokemon. Steve, who will be alerted by so much noise, will try to calm his Cinccino, who was chasing Whimsicott, causing more damage. It is ultimately Milotic which will calm everyone down, by watering them. Weighted down by the water that their cotton fur has absorbed, and unable to move, Whimsicott will let themself be captured by Steve. Sadly, Whimsicott and Cinccino would never get along, mostly because the first one finding it extremely funny to drive the second one crazy.

Lycanroc (Midday Form): Steve will meet a young Rockruff during his trip to Hawaii (with his parents). This Pokemon, typical of hot and sunny regions, will befriend Mimikyu and Cinccino, who didn't dare follow Steve and Milotic in their swim time, and were waiting on the beach. Upon their return, Steve and his Pokemon will also befriend the young Rockruff. At the end of the day, Steve will capture Rockruff, who didn't want to leave their new friends. Very quickly, the Pokemon evolved into Lycanroc (Midday Form), having become the keeper of the Harrington house, mostly watching over the property when Steve's parents are away.

Vanillite: This Pokemon was one of the creatures that belonged to the owner of the Scoop Ahoy store, where Steve worked in the summer of 1985. Much like Steve, Vanillite was new to work and was regularly mocked by the Vanillish and Vanilluxe who also worked at the shop. Curious and clumsy, they will secretly follow Steve, Robin, Dustin and Erica in their adventures against the Russians soldiers. After being discovered by the group, Steve will take care of them and order them to hide or follow Dustin and Erica to avoid being caught. When the mall is destroyed after the Mind Flayer attack, Steve will return Vanillite to their owner. But, when this one saw how Vanillite is attached to the young man, he will give him the Pokemon.

Other information:

Steve rarely leaves his Pokemons locked in their Poke Balls. They are often free to wander into the house, as and when they want.

Mimikyu is the one who will give the idea of "King Steve": how to pretend he is a really cool guy, loved by everyone, envied by everyone, while, deeply inside, he is totally different, just a nice guy who deeply loves his Pokemons.

Also, Mimikyu often likes to hide in the dark corners of Steve's room. They are regularly joined by Whimsicott, with whom they will sleep, nestled in the cotton of the other Pokemon.

Whimsicott likes to play tricky tricks on Cinccino, leaving pieces of cotton in the house after the other has cleaned up. This has the cause of annoying Cinccino, who is a neat freak.

Milotic loved to swim in the pool and spend their days there. But following the disappearance of Barbarra, Steve will not let them swim there anymore, fearing to see his Pokemon caught and killed by a Demogorgon or another monster. So he will often go to Lovers Lake and leave Milotic swim there, as much as they want.

Cinccino loves to hug Vanillite, to refresh itself after its cleaning session.

Vanillite enjoys playing and training to master its ice attacks, with Milotic helping it with its water attacks.

Lycanroc (Midday Form) is one of the few Pokemons that Steve uses when he has to fight against another trainer.

Steve's mother has several cat-like Pokémon, such as two Persians (one of each form: Normal and Alola), Glameow, Purrloin or Delcatty for example. They don't get along very well with Steve's Pokemon.

The same thing is happening with Steve's father, who has more Pokemons often seen as expensive and rare, like Salazzle, Omastar, Kabutops, Aurorus or Pyroar.

Theme : Halloween Type : Rushed Drabble Pairings : None Summary : Hop, Kira and Leon hanging out at the Stow-on-Side Halloween festival.

Stow-on-Side had become near unrecognizable compared to the last time Kira had been here. Despite the dark sky, the town is plenty alight with a variety of litwick shaped candles, combined with various Chandelures drifting through the busy plaza. A Gengar is performing a mock battle against a Aegislash over at one end, while on the other side of the path Kira can see a group of Alolan Marowak perform several dances and tricks. Signs are scattered around the plaza to direct people to various events.

Dolencia floats around her, the Misdreavus letting out small, happy sounds at the sight of fellow Ghost Pokémon all over the place ; Kira can only imagine how long it's been since she's seen that many Ghost Pokémon together. Not since Ecruteak, she'll bet.

"Hey, hey! Over here!"

Even in costume, Hop is easy to recognize -- for someone who's known him for years, that is. His Dubwool costume is rather a good one, she thinks! Kira's seen the spotted woolen suit he's wearing in the store, and she can't help but be a bit envious about the warm looking woolen scarf around his neck, but she's pretty sure the horns are something he crafted himself - very well, at that! It's a perfect match with the Dubwool peacefully laying in the grass beside him. Dubwool maintains eye contact with a nearby Sableye and has yet to look up even at the new arrival, but no matter - because Dolencia wastes no time in floating over to him and demanding his attention instead. Kira reaches the two a few seconds after.

"This place looks great-ya! Almost forgot I was supposed to look for you."

"From the look on your face? I'd say that wasn't an 'almost', mate."

Kira shrugs her shoulders with a sheepish grin in response, then looks around. "Lost Lee already-ya?"

"Aye," folding his hands behind his head, Hop lazily taps the ground with the toe of his shoes. "Got recognized early on, lost him to the fans."

"You mean you abandoned him."

"Eh," Hop's casual shrug doesn't stop his grin from widening. "We'll pick him up later. I'm starving, how bout you?"

Kira shakes her head with a small snort "Absolutely."

The prices of the food stalls being cut some for people wearing costumes is a nice way to get many people participating in the event. But even if that weren't the case, Kira would've still taken advantage of it being Halloween anyway: it's always better to be able to go out without being recognized! Though, judging from how easily Leon got caught, she's guessing he went with his Charizard outfit. Again. Like every year. No wonder he got caught.

As for herself? The tattered Mimikyu poncho is nice and warm in the night, and while it hides most of the bell-shorts jumpsuit she's wearing underneath, the striped stockings poking out from under it are not. For the occasion she hasn't done her usual side swept way of styling her bangs. Instead her fringe hang down straight, the edges of the strands touching her lashes. It's a bit annoying, but it helps avoid people realizing who she is. Simple black gloves and comfortable black boots finish the look. It's cozy, and easy to move in - just the way she likes her outfits.

"There's a lotta people running 'round like Lee again this year too-ya?"

"Seen some you's too. Could've come in your regular gear and no one'd know." snort

"Ehh... I'm gonna have to pass on that one. Seen a you run around yet?"

"What? Why would anyone dress like ME?"

"Hum... Maybe I should, next year. Oh! Wanna dress like me? Bet ya can fit in my skirt-ya!"

"Ugh... Please stop. You're too much." GROAN.....

The food stalls come ripe with ghost-pokemon themed treats of various sorts. Kira's especially interested in the 'Creepy Dreepy Icecream'! But she'll save that for later, after they've gone through some events already and have the time to simply sit back. Instead, she has a Pumpkaboo spice beverage, and a large bag of Yamask candies to share with Hop and, once they find him, Leon.

"Think we should find your bro yet-ya?"

"Probably, before he tries to find us. We both know he's pants with directions."

"Ack... Let's find him fast, I ain't touching that damned forest just because he wandered in there or something-ya."

"Still not over Glimwood Tangle, huh, Kira?"

"Ugh... I'll NEVER be over it."

Fortunately they find Leon right where Hop left him - signing yet another one of his trainer cards. Kira's a bit surprised to see he has his Dragapult besides him, rather than his Charizard. Was that Leon's attempt to go unrecognized? But the Gigantamax Charizard outfit he is wearing for the fifth year in a row most certainly cancelled that attempt. The orange turtleneck with its torn edges and diamond patterns, combined with the scarf that looks like flames suit him as well as ever. Personally, Kira's always liked the tailed, orange pants the top come with, and his usual cap has been exchanged for one that fits the outfit.

Once Leon catches sight of the two waiting for him, he apologizes to the crowd still lingering but excuses himself to join the festivities ( as they should, as well! ), then jogs up to Hop and Kira. "Sorry, sorry. Wait long you two?"

"Not really," Kira holds up her bag of treats. "We didn't wait at all-ya. But I'll share the loot."

"And I got you this." Hop holds up the drink he got for Leon at the stall. He was certain Leon would be thirsty after dealing with his fans a while.

"Thanks." Accepting the drink with a wide grin, Leon looks at the two before giving a nod. "Right then! Where do you two want to go first?"

A sign catches Hop's eye. "The Photobooth's just over there. Let's start there." He pointedly ignores the face Kira makes in response to his suggestion and instead links an arm through Leon's, to make sure he doesn't lose him in the crowd. "C'me on! Line's not that bad yet!"

The photo area is bigger than Kira remembered it was last year. There are a few different backdrops, and several ghost Pokémon are floating around for people to take photos with. However, the line Hop drags the other two towards is one with a set backdrop where photos are taken with the Pokémon trained for the job. From the corner of her eyes, Kira barely manages to read the warning listed :

"That one looks like fun!" Leon decides after reading the sign. It shouldn't be anything bad - it's supposed to be for people of all ages. "We should give it a try."

"Nay nay, you guys know what my face does when it comes to photos!" Kira groans, shaking her head.

"Just blame a ghost." Hop snickers, tugging her along.

It's hard to keep pouting when she sees the sort of photos that get made. Sometimes the ghost Pokémon startle the person just as the photo is taken, and other times they pull a funny face. It seems to be left entirely up to the Pokémon's discretion as far as she can tell : no one appears to be giving them any signs as to what to do. Though the line isn't too bad - it's still long enough for them to finish their drinks and have a few pieces of candy as they wait.

However, it's a good bit harder for Kira to relax when it's actually their turn. The camera before her is hard to ignore, even with Hop and Leon at her sides. She glances over at Hop-- just in time to see Haunter lick him in the face. A burst of laughter escapes Kira's lips before she can stop it while Hop lets out a sound of complaint just as the photo is taken. Leon missed it - but his smile comes as easily as it always does on photos. It's only after they receive the photo, printed thrice, that they realize a Gengar is doing Leon's famous Charizard Pose behind them. Laughing, Kira carefully tucks her copy in the shoulder bag kept under the poncho.

"Wasn't too bad, was it?" Leon smiles, ruffling her head a bit.

Her hair messes up underneath the hood, drawing forth a squeak from Kira, who quickly tries to tame the strands that are already trying to stand up. "Guess it wasn't-ya." she agrees. "You okay Hop? It uh- It likes ya." her cheek twitches as she bites back a grin.

"Oh sod off." Despite the words, Hop's eyes betray his amusement. The photo had been fun to do, just as he'd hoped. "Right! Where to next, huh?"

Leon takes a glance around, briefly reading the signs. "How about-"

A shriek cuts him up, and he instantly straightens up. Years of running towards sounds of utter terror as the one heard just now driven deep into the psyche of the former Champion- only for him to pause when he realizes what exactly happened.

Hop squints his eyes a bit to see better. "Isn't that Miss Opal?"

Bede covers his face with his hand, groaning as Opal cackles - something that doesn't quite help the view she presents. She's chosen a place with a single litwick candle to make her appearance, the lack of light casting long and dark shadows on her gaunt, aged face. Yet another terrified person scrambles off, pale as a sheet. What wizard? She's nothing like that! Seeing this, people would only think of her as a witch, wouldn't they? With an aggravated, yet resigned sigh, Bede shakes his head. He certainly wouldn't be surprised. His head jerks up when he hears Hop's voice, pale face contorting into a scowl when he sees the group. As if it's not bad enough he was dragged here despite the sour memories of the last time he'd been in Stow-on-Side.

"Ugh, I know it's Halloween, but that doesn't mean they gotta let him out." Kira scoffs, finally noticing the lanky figure standing a bit behind Opal.

"Be nice, be nice." Leon pats her shoulder in passing, heading over to exchange a few words with Opal who merrily greets him. If she weren't distracted with glaring daggers at Bede, who is glaring them back at her? Kira might've actually been impressed by how unafraid Leon seems to be of Opal's frightening appearance.

Hop sends a baleful look at Leon's back for leaving him with this mess, before he gives a resigned sigh and crouches down before Dubwool. "Guess it's up to you and me, huh, buddy?"

"Bááááááááh!"

Hop is lucky that Bede doesn't seem too intent on provoking Kira. Apart from a few spiteful words ( which quickly stop once Kira swipes her thumb across her throat while maintaining eye contact with him ) Bede simply stays where he is - near Opal, away from Hop and Kira. It's a good thing too. Had Bede decided to try his luck to come closer, Hop's not certain he'd be able to confidently say that he'd be able to keep the peace. ( "It's fine-ya. People'll just think it's make-up, even if he IS covered in blood with pieces of bone showing." "What!? No!!" "... Hmph." ) Instead, Hop tugs at Kira's arm to draw her attention ( and if it tugs her even an inch further away from Bede? All the better! ) before pointing at a sign. "Let's do that next?"

With a final glower at Bede, Kira turns her attention to where Hop is pointing, before perking up. "Ah! It's that game  we did last year-ya! Guessing candy! We should do that!!"

Though a glance over Kira's shoulder shows Hop that Bede rolls his eyes with a soundless scoff, Hop's just glad that he doesn't actually speak whatever is clearly going through his mind right about now. Since it doesn't seem like anything will actually go wrong, he allows himself to fully turn towards the game. "Yeah! Lee can just come join us whenever he and Ms. Opal finish!"

"Heheeh~" Kira raises her fist with a grin. "If it's food, I'll win for sure!"

"Don't underestimate me!" Hop pumps up his fists in turn, crouching slightly in excitement "I got a whole lot of experience during my challenge! I'll show you the true might of a future Professor!"

"Hohoh~ Quite the rowdy bunch as always, hm?" Opal gives a small chuckle as she watches the two excited trainers join the line for the candy guessing game, resting her weight on her umbrella, handle clasped solidly beneath her folded hands. "No matter how often you tell those sorts of children not to hurry so much, they'll never stop running... Well, you're the wrong child to say that to, aren't you?"

Leon has the decency to look a bit sheepish as he chuckles, scratching his cheek. It's hard to say anything when she's seen him rush from here to there for over ten years now. Welp. Time to change the subject! "Finally found a successor you like, huh? Didn't think I'd see the day."

Despite the knowing twitch of her lips, Opal allows the new subject. "That's right. Try to keep up with this new generation, hm? Or it won't just be one person beating you, you pink-lacking boy."

Leon gives a laugh at this, shrugging his shoulders and raising his hands. "I look forward to it."

No- he's not a boy anymore as he'd been when she'd first met him. He's a man now. Who's seen more than most and who always seems to enjoy taking the world on his shoulders. Time sure seems to fly - something Opal herself is painfully aware of. The world is changing rapidly. "Off you go, before they leave you behind." she waves him off, painted nails gleaming in the dim lights before she turns to Bede. "Come child, we have our own places to be."

Bede scoffs under his breath, lips forming soundless complaints as he pushes himself up straight. Right. Back to being dragged around. He gives Leon a wary glance from the corner of his eye, but when the ex-Champion simply gives him a smile and a wave, Bede gives a curt nod in response. The tenseness in his shoulders lessens. At least Leon doesn't seem to harbor a grudge against him.

Leon watches the duo disappear in the throng of people, then looks around a moment. Let's see... Where were they again...? It's solely through the help of his Dragapult that he is able to turn in the right direction, in time to watch Hop and Kira taste and guess several candies while blindfolded. Arms crossing over his chest, he leans against a tree with a smile as he watches. It seems like just yesterday that he brought them here as little kids, when Hop and Kira had been doing all the events meant for children such as colouring pages contests, and other easy games with small prizes kids enjoy... They sure grew up well, huh?

He watches as they squabble about a flavor, the smile on his lips widening enough to show a hint of teeth. At least it's nice to know some things never change.

"Arghhh! I lost! I let down my guard and it all went to pot!"

"Heheeh~ Don't think ya can beat me when it comes to food-ya!"

"Just watch, next year I'll show you a complete defeat!"

"Keep dreaming~" giggle.

"You two done?" Leon pushes off the tree, eyebrows raised in amusement.

Kira raises a hand "Ah! We're done-ya!"

Walking and chatting, they try out several of the events - Dolencia soars in the contest of 'which ghost Pokémon can turn invisible the fastest', while Dubwool maintains a good winning streak in rope pulls -- until Dragapult joins the opposing force, that is. It's starting to get late. The activities aimed for children have already closed and most of the younger crowd has come and gone, leaving mostly teenagers and adults.

Kira smiles, feeding Dolencia one of the candies she bought at a stall recently. "We gonna stay all the way til the fireworks-ya? Or do you guys gotta head back early?"

"We should stay!" Hop turns to Leon "Right, Lee? You got time, don't you?"

Ever weak to those begging eyes, Leon reaches out and ruffles Hop's hair, careful not to touch the horns decorating it. "Of course I do." he just hopes Oleana won't come for him. She's honestly more terrifying to deal with than most Pokémon he's ever encountered. Yikes.

"Yeah!" Hop punches up his arms with a grin. "Let's go and find a good spot!"

"Too bad the mural's locked off during all this-ya. It'd be nice and high." Kira muses, though she can understand -- a crowd such as this in a mood more festive than sensible? The mural would only be at risk of needless damage. "... Think we could sit on the Dugtrio statues-ya?"

"Let's not." Leon quickly answers, before Hop can finish considering Kira's suggestion. "I remember there used to be a pretty good spot I used to check out the fireworks with Raihan and Sonia back in the day... Hmm..."

"Ahhh..." Kira and Hop exchange looks - if they let Leon lead the way? Nevermind a good view - they might wind up well out of town.

"Let's just find a nice place." Hop decides. "Doesn't need to be all that high, just has to be comfortable."

"Yah!" Kira agrees, nodding quickly.

Leon places his hands on his hips. "You guys-"

"Let's go!" Kira and Hop each grab one of his elbows, tugging him along.

With a roll of the eyes, Leon can't help but smile as he's being led by the arms. Cute kids~

In the end they find themselves a spot on the roof of the Pokémon center ( not entirely allowed - but they're not the only ones either - even a few of its workers have taken to the roof for this special occasion! ). Legs dangling over the edge of the roof as they eat the lasts of their snacks. The things she got for her parents are neatly tucked away in her bag.

"Can't believe the year passed so quickly-ya." Kira kicks her legs lightly, leaning back on her arms, eyes on the sky. A year ago they'd also gone to the festival, but back then she and Hop had been promising challengers while Leon had still been the unbeatable Leon. Now he's the swamped-with-paperwork League Chairman Leon.

"Can't believe so much happened in a year..." Hop groans, shaking his head.

"No kidding-ya." Kira sighs, then perks up. "Ah! Look! Over there! Right over there-ya!"

"Huh?" Hop looks to where Kira's pointing, but judging from Leon's proud chuckle, Kira can tell he already saw it- "AH!" and now, so did Hop. "S-someone dressed as m-me??" eyes wide, cheeks hot, he can only stare as someone is laughing with some other costumed people while sporting a familiar hairdo, and wearing a trainer suit with his number on it.

"They're looking pretty good-ya. Wonder if I nabbed the wrong one?" Kira grins, nudging Hop in the side with her elbow. ���You sure you’re the real one-ya?”

"S-sod off." Hop flusters, though there's a trembling smile on his lips as he looks back up again, eyes a bit wet.

Leon smiles at the sight of them, then looks up at the sky as well. Sometimes Hop really underestimates how many people were rooting for him during his challenge, it seems. Or how many people wish the best for him, even now.

The fireworks start easy - just the one or two. But then the sky erupts in various lights. Some are shaped like ghost Pokémon and Pokéballs, while others come in colourful bursts. The fireworks seem even more magnificent than the previous times -- though Kira recalls thinking so last year as well. They stay there until the end of the show, together on the roof. Basking in the shapes showing in the sky, and the flavor of candies.

It's a little hard to get a taxi after the show - everyone wants to go home after all. But the weather is pleasant and the sky is clear. It makes the waiting time easier on them, though Kira can feel her energy crash the moment they manage to catch one and are on their way home.

"You lot had fun?" Leon chuckles, looking at the two droopy-eyed passengers seated on the opposite seat.

"Mhm, it was great-ya."

"It really-" a yawn breaks up Hop's words "was. Gotta do this again next year."

"Sure, if we're able to, let's." Leon agrees before looking out the window at the darkened scenery, the occasional houses and streets alight with lamps. He can see people around and about, no doubt heading home - like they are. Though some might be leaving for other places instead. No matter.

Glancing back at the two, he suppresses a chuckle. Kira's head is on Hop's shoulder, Hop's cheek on her head, both sleeping soundly. With a slight grin he closes his eyes again. He'll wake them when they're home. Resting his chin on his fist, he looks back out the window. It had been a good evening for the lot them them. He can't wait until the next time they get a chance to spend time together like this.

This is a huge Felix mood, mainly because the casual, playful confidence of the singer is something they both enjoy in others and seek to have in themselves. Their past experiences with Rocket’s criminal intelligence kinda relate to the singer’s request to be kept up-to-date with every word Daisy says (and to be let into her bedroom to have a lil snoop around), and tbh Spence Hood’s voice is very close to what I imagine Felix’s to be like.

I associate this with Fontaine, to absolutely no one’s surprise. He’s not unhinged enough to become a mad scientist or Victor Frankenstein motherfucker, but that doesn’t mean that he can’t enjoy fictional stories of unethical medicine. 

THE BIDDING - TALLY HALL

I’ve been training like a Pavlov dog, let my independence out to hike All you gotta do is activate my bell, and I’ll fetch you anything you like!

Felix, Dante, Frankie, and Cadmael all relate to this song to some extent. While all of Adreffe’s staff understand the importance of cooperation and making each other’s lives easier, the above four are ones most keen to offer their services. 

Felix does it because, despite their cocky, laidback exterior, they harbour extreme guilt over their past Rocket activity and are constantly trying to atone for it. Dante and Frankie just like working together and maintaining their friendship after their romantic relationship fell apart. Plus, Frankie has the widest range of skills so can help with many difference maintainence jobs around the island. Finally, Cadmael gets jittery if he stays cooped up in his Gym for too long, so can often be found applying himself elsewhere and filling to time between challengers with socialisation or simple task fulfillment.

Molly half-vibes, but she can’t seem to make her mind up whether she actually likes the song itself or just the upbeat, jaunty tune of it. Her helpfulness comes from running her bakeries and catering for the staff and student kitchens.

Evelyn, 100000%. Ghosts? Old-timey phonographs? Playing childish pranks like luring someone into a room and then abruptly silencing whatever noise drew them there? It’s Evelyn and her ghost friends all over! Even if she herself likes to remain polite and has never played a practical joke in her life, her mansion halls are filled with playful tricksters like Gengar and Mimikyu.

Curses really speaks to Steffan, though I realise that this is almost definitely because the song has fire imagery and Steffan is the Fire specialist. 

From a background perspective though, Steffan did have to go through a lot of internal wall-breaking once Siôn brought him to Adreffe. Much like his brother, the destruction of Dolce Island left a lot of discomfort and trauma in its wake, and he needed some reassurance that any vulnerability or distress on his part would be accepted. He was only nine, after all, he couldn’t have coped under judgmental or emotionally stifling staff.

Adreffe has helped them all to improve in some way, some changes more drastic than others, and they continue to return that favour by raising up their students until they, too, are no longer overshadowed by the fear of what they could or should be. They’re there to make everyone’s life a little brighter, even if that prospect seems scary or unachievable at first.

This is the best game ever! Spike, the vampire with a soul?

It’s fun and a little challenging, so I really like it lol

Spike is interesting because I feel like he’d want to have all these big, badass, scary looking pokemon, but he also inherently loves the beauty in things? So, I think he’d have mostly the former, but a sprinkling of the latter in his team. That and a lot of dark pokemon, but also fire pokemon because it’s such a chaotic element.

1. ninetales (fire)

this pokemon is pretty much the epitome of beauty meets firepower, so it really fits his aesthetic. it’s the type of pokemon that he’d be mocked for having because it’s feminine, but then the two of them would burn the entire block down because that’s kind of how Spike is. I can see someone like Angelus mocking him for it, but coming to begrudgingly respect it. ninetales are also supposed to be ancient, and that fits perfectly with someone who’s lived for more than a century.

2. salamence (dragon/flying)

it fits into that punk rock/destructive aesthetic. it’s a dragon that looks like a dragon. they’re also prone to fits of uncontrollable rage, which matches his temper pretty perfectly.

3. houndoom (dark/fire)

it’s pretty much the most punk rock looking pokemon there is, so it kind of goes without saying.

4. arcanine (fire)

they’re supposed to be a big thing in china according to the pokedex, and considering legendary there. it fits into his personal history in the country. plus, it fits into his aesthetic. it’s beautiful, but dangerous and wild looking.

5. nickit (dark)

spike is a huge pickpocket, so I think it fits for him to have a pokemon that is too. plus, can’t you just imagine spike circa season five just angrily brooding with it in his lap?

6. mimikyu (ghost/fairy)

this might seem like an odd choice, but I think it fits. like mimikyu, Spike is constantly trying to be something he’s not - the ultimate big bad, the earnest boy next door etc. he’s dangerous, but he’s also just really lonely and devoted to the ones he cares about. plus it’s got that creepy but cute edge to it, and i just get this image of dawn thinking its adorable, and Spike being mad she’s not scared of it.

Frontier Brain Trivia

Facility Trivia:

~The idea of Lazarus' Frontier Brain being similar to the Gym Challenge came to me as I thought Lazarus would want to think outside the box.

~Yes, a lot of the members are female. That was intentional because I thought it would be funny for Lazarus to recruit a lot of girls by accident.

~Lazarus is the mock Champion of his Battle Frontier, it was decided that because he created the idea and he is the owner of the facility. The others can challenge him for his title, but they have no desire to take his title.

~There's no order to battle the mock gym leaders but most challengers are recommended to battle Midnight first since she has everyone battle using Rental Pokemon.

~The order to battle the mock Elite Four are Lydia, Holly, Gracie and Priscilla in that order.

~Each member has a specific room and battle field they and their challengers battle on that matches their personality, theme team or type.

Midnight's Trivia:

~Midnight uses rental Pokemon because of how much her father influenced her when she was younger.

~If I were to give Midnight a proper team, she would probably use Pokemon with high speed as a reference to Marley being the Speed Stat trainer.

~Midnight was given a Gothitelle as her only Pokemon because of how Gothitelle's design is based off of the Gothic Lolita style.

~Midnight will sometimes doze off at random times due to not getting a lot of sleep.

~Midnight doesn’t get a lot of sleep due to her wanting to have all of her machines in working conditions.

~When she refuses to sleep, Gothitelle will pull her away and use Heal Pulse to calm her down enough to fall asleep.

~Midnight’s Gothitelle is a little taller than a normal Gothitelle, she’s also a bit darker than a normal Gothitelle.

~When she isn't battling or training her rental Pokemon to battle, she's either tinkering with inventions or helping Lazarus' assistants with repairs in the Battle Frontier.

~Midnight’s room is based off of the Gothic Lolita style but there are computers and a machine that disputes rental Pokemon to both Midnight and her challenger, her battle field is a standard battle field. 

~Midnight’s favorite color is black.

~Midnight’s favorite food is Pelmeni and her favorite drink is tea.

Hana's, Iclyn's and Priscilla's Trivia:

~Hana, Iclyn and Priscilla are based off of the trope "Beauty, Brawn and Brain". Hana is the beauty as in the games some Beauty trainer class used Grass type Pokemon. Iclyn is the brawn as her birth father stars in action movies. Priscilla is the brain as Psychic types are known for using their heads.

~The idea for them having different parents came from how with someone thought that having Sabrina combine her Psychic abilities with Erika's good nature and Brycen's natural strength, they would become strong trainers.

~Sabrina, Will, Brycen and Erika were okay with the idea and everyone agreed to train each child separately so each of them could focus on one ability.

~How Sabrina was able to get Erika pregnant is something both of them refuse to say.

~Hana and Iclyn are mock gym leaders because their parents are gym leaders.

~Priscilla is a mock Elite Four as a bit of a reference to how the Psychic type was overpowered in Generation one.

~Hana's team from weakest to strongest is Lurantis, Leafeon, Lilligant, Tsareena, Victreebel and Serperior.

~Hana’s Leafeon looks a lot different than a normal Leafeon, she has sharper and narrower eyes due to her aggressive nature, her leafs and fur are a lot darker due to being in the sunlight a lot and the leafs on her head and tail are sharper than normal Leafeons.

~Hana’s Serperior left her previous trainer because their training method didn’t sit right with her.

~Hana’s Serperior has a scar on her back from a battle when she was with her old trainer.

~Hana’s Lilligant has freckles across her face, she was embarrassed about them as a Petilil but when she evolved she learned to like her freckles.

~Iclyn's team from weakest to strongest is Alolan Sandslash, Glaceon, Alolan Ninetales, Dewgong, Weavile and Beartic.

~Iclyn’s Beartic is a foot taller than normal Beartic.

~Iclyn’s Glaceon always has her fur spiked up mostly to avoid being touched by others.

~When Iclyn’s Alolan Sandslash first met Garnet’s Kantoian Sandslash, he was very confused as he never saw a Kantoian Sandslash before and thought something was wrong with him.

~Priscilla’s team from weakest to strongest is Alolan Raichu, Jynx, Hatterene, Mr. Mime, Slowking and Gengar.

~Priscilla has a Gengar as a reference to Ash’s Haunter in the anime.

~Priscilla’s Mr. Mime’s battle style is a reference to the Pokemon Adventures Manga where Sabrina’s Mr. Mime created a house from barriers during its battle against Bugsy’s Heracross.

~When they aren’t battling, Hana is talking with the other girls and having tea with them, Iclyn is training and honing her ninja skills and Priscilla is meditating with her Psychic type Pokemon.

~Hana’s room is a garden/greenhouse that’s full of flowers, berries, flower arrangements, perfumes that she makes, aromatherapy bottles and some tea. Her battle field is the grass field.

~Iclyn’s room is basically a room full of ice, training equipment and various ninja skills, as well as posters of movies her father starred in. Her battle field is the ice field that includes a pool and stream of water so Dewgong can battle on land and in the water.

~Priscilla’s room is a fancy theater-like room that includes colors like dark pink, purple, indigo and gold. Her battle field is a plain field.

~Hana’s favorite color is pink.

~Hana’s favorite food is Kaiseki and her favorite drink is matcha tea.

~Iclyn’s favorite color is white.

~Iclyn’s favorite food is onigiri and her favorite drink is water

~Priscilla’s favorite color is dark pink.

~Priscilla’s favorite food is Karaage and her favorite drink is green tea.

Garnet’s Trivia:

~Garnet’s appearance and personality is a bit of a take of how when Ruby was when he was five before the Salamence incident.

~Garnet having a team based on Pokemon who benefit from weather is a reference to how the concept of weather appearing in the over world of the games started in Generation Three, where Hoenn made its debut.

~Despite how different they all are, Garnet gets along with his younger sister and their father and he always watches his sister when she’s performing in a contest.

~Garnet and his mom often go and play around in forests when they have the time to.

~Garnet often acts as the group meteorologist when all of them are training outside, they trust his judgement since he’s the one who has a team based on weather.

~Garnet’s team from weakest to strongest is Glalie, Sandslash, Tangela, Castform and Goodra.

~When he isn’t battling, Garnet is often catching up with his family or spending his time in the forest befriending wild Pokemon.

~Garnet’s room is based around the different weather effects and seasons, one corner being spring and having light rain, one corner being summer and having strong sunlight, one corner being fall and cloudy and the last corner being winter and hailing. He also has a machine that creates a lightning effect that will go off sometimes. His battle field often changes to the rock field, the grass field, the water field or the ice field for each new trainer he faces and he allows the challenger to pick the field they battle on.

~Garnet’s favorite color is crimson red.

~Garnet’s favorite food is Yaki-udon and his favorite drink is soda pop.

Clarice and Cole’s Trivia:

~Clarice and Cole being twins that master Ghost types is a reference to The Shining and how some horror movies have creepy twins.

~When they’re about to face a challenger, they’d say together “Come battle with us” while holding hands.

~Both Clarice’s and Cole’s eyes are fine, they wear the eye patches for fun and to make themselves look more intimidating.

~They both like wearing clothes that are similar to each other that match their colors such as Clarice wearing purple with a black secondary color while Cole would wear black with a purple secondary color.

~Clarice was born three minutes before Cole.

~Clarice and Cole aren’t afraid of Ghost type Pokemon and Ghost type Pokemon love being around the twins, even wild ones.

~As they do double battles, the pairs are Mimikyu and Golett, Alolan Marowak and Cursola, and Gourgeist and Trevenant.

~Clarice’s Mimikyu has a lot of disguises he’ll put on. So far he made the Eeveelutions, baby Pokemon like Cleffa, Togepi, and Smoochum and other cute/popular Pokemon like Clefairy and Jigglypuff.

~When they aren’t battling, the twins either spend their time together, go out to find Ghost type Pokemon to play with or play pranks on others at night.

~The twins’ room is based on a haunted room that includes floating furniture (thanks to the wild Ghost types who use Psychic or just make the furniture float on their own), old toys that they played with as kids, will-o-wisps (again, thanks to the wild Ghost types) and their room is a bit dim, mostly to give their challengers a challenge during a battle. Their battle field is a plain battle field. 

~Clarice’s favorite color is purple.

~Clarice’s favorite food is sour Mushroom Medley curry and her favorite drink is lemonade.

~Cole’s favorite color is black.

~Cole’s favorite food is Decorative curry and his favorite drink is lemonade.

Sophie’s Trivia:

~Sophie’s team being based on Pokemon known for dancing was based off of how Rudy would teach his Pokemon how to dance and Melody doing a traditional dance on Shamouti Island.

~Sophie will often give Lazarus a kiss on his cheek when she sees him. 

~There’s no romantic feelings behind each kiss, she just does it to say hi to him.

~Sophie enjoys singing as well as dancing but she still prefers to dance more.

~Sophie still does wish to be an official gym leader sometimes, but she’s still happy that Lazarus gave her a spot in his Battle Frontier.

~Sophie’s team from weakest to strongest is Spinda, Oricorio, Hitmontop, Galarian Mr. Mime, Kirlia and Altaria.

~Sophie heard that her Altaria can mega evolve but she isn’t looking into having Altaria mega evolve.

~Sophie’s Spinda has a star shaped spot on her stomach, a small spot on her nose, one spot on her left eye, a spot on her right cheek and spots on the tip of her ears.

~When she isn’t battling, she’s either dancing with her Pokemon or hanging out with the other girls.

~Sophie knows how to play various wind instruments, her favorite is the flute.

~Sophie’s room looks like a dance studio filled with instruments such as a flute, a drum set, a piano, a harp, a violin and other different instruments. She also has pots of red, yellow, purple and pink flowers for her Oricorio to change her form before a battle and packets of seeds for each flower so she can grow more or them. She battles on a plain battle field.

~Sophie’s favorite color is orange.

~Sophie’s favorite food is pineapples and her favorite drink is fresh water.

Melantha’s Trivia:

~Melantha being a Bug type trainer was planned at the start.

~The pink in Melantha’s hair was there when she was born, some people don’t believe it when she tells them so she shows her baby pictures as proof.

~Melantha sometimes wears the Team Skull grunt female uniform when she’s homesick.

~Melantha really loves rainy days because it reminds her of Po town.

~Melantha is will sometimes rap or rhyme when she’s in a bad mood, everyone thinks that habit of hers is funny.

~While Melantha likes to portray herself as a gangster, she doesn’t like bullying or picking on others weaker or smaller than her and will defend them without hesitation.

~Melantha loves Poison types as much as she loves Bug types and will always defend people who make fun of Poison and Bug types.

~Melantha’s Team Skull pendant is actually a locket that Guzma got for her on her tenth birthday, the locket has a picture of her and her family when she was ten.

~Melantha carries the Dawn stone that Guzma kept as a good luck charm as her own good luck charm.

~Melantha’s team from weakest to strongest is Vikavolt, Araquanid, Accelgor, Frosmoth, Ribombee and Scolipede.

~Melantha’s room is similar to Guzma’s room in Po Town, littered with graffiti on the walls and is incredibly messy but she does have a picture of everyone in Team Skull hanging up behind her makeshift throne. She battles on a plain battle field. 

~Melantha’s favorite color is black.

~Melantha’s favorite food is sweet potatoes and her favorite drink is Tapu Cocoa.

Kyan’s Trivia:

~Kyan’s role being similar to Darach’s role for Caitlin came to me as soon as I saw SteelShipping.

~Kyan being a girl but pretending to be a boy is a reference to Hun’s gender being different in the Japanese dub and sub of the anime.

~Kyan specializing in Steel types is a reference to her parent’s shipping name, the fact both of them used Steel types and how her role is something like a knight.

~Kyan had very long hair before she had cut it to her current style.

~Kyan does have romantic feelings for Catherine as she was the one who didn’t push her away despite how harsh she was.

~Kyan was supposed to have Hun’s hair color but it didn’t look right so she was given Attila’s hair color.

~Kyan gets very into battles and has to stop herself from going too far.

~Kyan had to take a lot of lessons on how to be a proper butler to Catherine, she doesn’t say how bad her lessons were but she says she sometimes wakes up in a cold sweat remembering those lessons.

~Kyan having a Steelix and a Corviknight is a shout out to her parents.

~Kyan’s team from weakest to strongest is Aegislash, Excadrill, Escavalier, Bisharp, Corviknight and Steelix.

~Kyan shares her room with Catherine since she battles for Catherine.

~Kyan’s favorite color is grey.

~Kyan doesn’t have a favorite food but her favorite drink is tea.

Catherine’s Trivia:

~Catherine’s battle frenzy is a reference to how Caitlin would act in the Pokemon Adventures manga when she got excited about a battle.

~When Catherine does battle, a lot of people are terrified by how different she acts as opposed to how gentle she is outside of battle.

~Catherine has strict rules by Lazarus to only battle when the facility is under attack.

~Catherine does have Psychic abilities but she can only use them for emergencies.

~Catherine doesn’t mind not being allowed to battle normally, she knows how creepy she can get when she’s in a battle and always apologizes for scaring someone.

~Catherine knows about Kyan’s feelings toward her and fully welcomes her to be her girlfriend when she’s ready.

~Catherine can be calmed by her parent’s voices or by Kyan or her Indeedee serving her tea and macarons.

~Catherine was given Indeedee because they are based off of maids and butlers.

~Catherine’s and Kyan’s shared room looks like a royal chamber where everything is purple, Catherine sits on a balcony overlooking the battle with her Indeedee by her side. The battle field is plain.

~Catherine’s favorite color is purple.

~Catherine’s favorite food are macarons and her favorite drink is tea.

Lydia’s Trivia:

~Lydia was technically born from a one night stand Oleana and Chairman Rose had.

~Chairman Rose saw no problem with it as he thought Lydia would inherit his legacy.

~That went down the drain when Lydia was put in foster care because of the Darkest Day incident.

~Lydia hasn’t seen her parents since she was born, but she doesn’t mind as she could care less about her parents after hearing what they did.

~Lydia does know about her uncle Peony and her cousin and they do visit her and her foster family on special occasions.

~Lydia will occasionally bow to her opponents.

~Her Roserade follows her lead when he’s out of his Pokeball.

~Lydia’s team is both full of beautiful Pokemon and Pokemon based around flowers.

~Lydia loves red roses and likes having accessories that include red roses.

~Lydia’s team from weakest to strongest is Cinccino, Florges, Vileplume and Roserade.

~Lydia’s room is a black room with red curtains with various fancy decorations that include red roses and some parts of the wall have gold trimmings. She battles on the plain battle field.

~Lydia’s favorite food is Galarian Pancakes and her favorite drink is milk tea.

Holly’s Trivia:

~Holly was originally going to have a team of three Ice types and three Dragon types, but the idea was scrapped in favor of a full team of Dragon types.

~Holly’s cape was given to her by Lance for her birthday.

~Holly gets along with Ash despite being a lot younger than him.

~Holly having her team since she was young was planned after remembering that Dragon types are some of the hardest type to train.

~Holly enjoys making voodoo dolls during her free time, no one knows if they are real or not so they try not to cross her in case they are.

~Holly can get wild Dragon type Pokemon to fight with her if she focuses enough.

~Holly’s team from weakest to strongest is Noivern, Flygon, Haxorus, Hydreigon, Salamence and Dragonite.

~Holly’s room is a red and blue decorated room with different statues of Dragon type Pokemon, as well as a throne for her to sit on while she waits for challengers. Her battlefield is the rocky battlefield.

~Holly’s favorite color is black.

~Holly’s favorite food is Tonkatsu and her favorite drink is green tea.

Gracie’s Trivia:

~Gracie’s design is meant to represent angels due to how Diantha’s design looked.

~Gracie’s original team was supposed to be Pokemon that resembled angels but they idea was scrapped.

~Gracie’s new team was then based on Pokemon that are related to myths or legends because of how Cynthia enjoyed looking at myths in her free time.

~It took Gracie about four years to non-verbally command her Pokemon like her Diantha could.

~Gracie knows Ebon and has talked to him a few times about small roles she would be good at.

~Gracie knows her surrogate father and sees him on occasion.

~Gracie’s Pokemon from weakest to strongest is Torterra, Empoleon, Dusknoir, Musharna, Infernape and Absol.
