Caring for your Pokemon: Pawmot Line
Getting into some newer Pokemon, it's Pawmot! Since I have Pads traveling with me (very interesting way that he evolved, even I was surprised) I am able to study the line closely.
Pawmi are very tiny Pokemon, only being 1'00" in height, so be careful when you're walking places as you might not be paying attention to where you're going (when you have a Joltik that you take care of, I thankfully wasn't too worried.) I would advise carrying it on your shoulder as it makes travel easier for everyone, but be careful of the electricity, you could get shocked accidentally and while not harmful, does hurt. They're learning how to control their electricity so please do be kind to them.
Pawmo has a little bit more control in their electricity, and can use some fighting skills to boot, throwing punches and then shocking afterwards, a very interesting strategy. They rush headlong into battle and don't make the best choices when doing so, so I advise working on battle tactics with other fighting types such as Gallade or Toxicroak, depending on how you want the fighting style to be.
Now Pawmot is MUCH bigger than it's pre-evolutions, so no more carrying it on your shoulder unless you want to have constant back pain. Getting your Pawmot to stop wanting to be carried is difficult work, and they certainly will be grumpy with you, but it let's them be more independent (I advise starting in the Pawmo stage for better results.) As for battle, they are much faster and stronger than before, and can deliver lighting fast punches in a matter of seconds. Notice what fighting styles they have learned, and attempt to enhance them, as well as work on weaknesses. With this, you will have a close bond with your partner Pokemon.
Whew! That's a lot! With another electric type it makes me miss Fuzzbutt, though I hear I should be able to grab him soon. I do miss the little guy, and he'll have a new friend to be with.

Another double bill update because I was too tired to post it yesterday.
Day 5: Unova! My favorite fuzzbutt, Joltik! I haven't had the chance to use him in a Nuzlocke setting, but he's just too cute. I tried to use my plush as a model this time instead of a model. Kinda turned out wonky, but I love him all the same.
Day 6: Kalos! Kalos is a weird region for me. I can barely remember any original pokemon from it, but Skiddo is definitely a cutie.

Got the Driftveil badge. Chargestone cave is still hell on earth tho
New additions:
Relic Passage: Balboa the Boldore
Mistralton Cave: Smooch the Woobat
Chargestone Cave: Fuzzbutt the Joltik
Route 7: Sniffles the Cubchoo
Celestial Tower: Candi the Litwick
the new pokemon I’m getting sure seem to be following a pattern, which is “the ones I found in my last run.” was really hoping for an axew in mistralton cave but alas
that said I got caught off guard in Chargestone Cave by a triple battle and shortly after by a rotation battle so we have at long last bid farewell to a couple party mainstays
Losses:
Lavellan the Leavanny
BatsyCline the Crobat
which makes the current party as follows
Fuzzbutt, lv 33 Joltik
Smooch, lv 28 Woobat
Xavier, lv 35 Dewott
Furbait, lv 35 Zoroark
Scoot, lv 35 Sandslash
Rolla, lv 33 Darumaka
Skyla’s gym has a max level of 39 so I’m gonna be here for a while. Luckily (hah) I just got the Lucky Egg.
Also got Omega Ruby today so that’s next on the list after I finish BW2

So I am now heading to the Paldea region, and I’m waiting for my work visa to let me get through so I can have a elongated stay as well as the permit to camp in places and such. But there’s been a small issue.
They’re unsure if my team is able to go into the Paldea region. Sean is fine, and I’m glad as I need someone to be my translator but I will be missing Forger, Fuzzbutt, and most importantly Gregory. My Pokémon partner for forever might not be able to join me on my next step of my adventure. I am truly sad.
If that’s the case, he will be staying with my wife. But I will truly miss him in the meantime.
This next week will be very difficult, as well as this leg of the journey.
Hopefully I can get someone to be my temporary strongman.

Arrived in Paldea last night around 11:00, went to bed and got up and began to explore. Was a little hard to focus with Gregory not traveling with me, but I still have Sean here, though without Fuzzbutt and Forger I do feel like the team isn’t going to really work since we don’t have everyone
So, I caught some new guys. For starters we now have a Pawmi, which seems to be like Pikachu. I’ll name him….Pads.
For now, not too much more, but we’ll see where everything goes

What Pokémon do you have on your team since machamp joltik and smeargle aren’t there?
Oh god I miss the others...poor Gregory, he's never been away from me for so long...
Ahem, anyway.
Right now I have Sean of course, then I brought in Mocks the Mimikyu as it is able to use Mimic, then some new ones include Pads the Pawmot as my new source of slowing down Pokemon for me to research and defend me if need be, and then Legs the Toedscool in order to hold down Pokemon for medical research or if I need samples.
I have a few new research subjects as well, Legs being one of them in the whole Covergent species with Tentacool (now I have to capture one) and I am looking into terastalizing, but I need to find the right Pokemon for it first. More research subjects to come as well.

Do you find it weird when more huminoid pokémon are treated as pets? (i.e. giving a lucario or machop a food bowl of pellets vs. a plate and seat at the table)
I personally don’t care what other people do. When our Pokémon eat wherever they choose to. Kingpin eats with his gang outside, Blub and Lockpick don’t eat, Fuzzbutt eats static so he’s wherever he wants, Forger and Crusher both eat in private, Sean and Gregory will sit at the table if they choose, but sometimes they sit on the floor.
Also pellets are what they are supposed to eat. It gives the Pokémon the nutrition and benefits that food does. You can feed a Pokémon items like meat or vegetables, but it would all depend on what Pokémon, and diets can be different. The pellets are just easier (I’ve tried them too, they’re not bad). Sean is the only one that doesn’t eat pellets, and that’s because he eats aquatic plants like seaweed.

What's your favorite dish to cook while traveling?
Burger Curry if we’re going with the curries, but I personally like making spaghetti and meat sauce. Gregory likes anything with protein in it, Sean will eat anything as long as it’s good, Fuzzbutt just eats static (surprisingly the hardest one to feed) and Forger likes bread. Spaghetti is the one that satisfies all of us though.

Hi Sean and Gregory! Have you ever had girlfriends? As organic Pokémon, what do you like doing when you're not helping Bryan? I'm a Porygon, so sometimes when I'm not working I'll play with my friends, a Sirfetch'd, Amaura and Chatot. At other times I'll use the computer! - Crouton
We have never had girlfriends or anything really of the sort, not that it matters anyway as we’re busy with work and constantly moving. When I’m not helping out with translations I enjoy doing puzzles and napping.
-Sean
I spent most of my Machop and Machoke years in the lab being trained to become a powerhouse, so I didn’t have a lot of other Pokémon to interact with other than opponents. Nowadays I’m busy helping Bryan out and keep him out of danger, so I don’t do much else. When we’re resting and not doing research, I usually work out with the other fighting types that Bryan keeps.
-Gregory
Joltiks and galvantulas are usually solitary creatures, so I don’t really have one unless I’m looking. Though I do enjoy the Yamper that I’ve been taking static from, which is what I do when I’m not helping out.
-Fuzzbutt
As an artist and a move expert, I attract many suitors, but an artist must always be alone in solitude. When I’m not working I paint to my hearts content anywhere I want.
-Forger

What does a normal day look like for you? Like what do you usually do in a day?
On a normal day basis, I would wake up around and get breakfast for me, the team, and any research subjects at the time.
I then do morning checks, seeing the overall health of everyone, examining their movements and seeing their social interactions with different Pokémon. At this point Sean would be having conversations with the research subjects, seeing if they have any problems that I wouldn’t be able to notice. Gregory would be doing a workout or training with any fellow fighters, Fuzzbutt would be storing his electricity for later, and Forger would be practicing whatever moves he has in his arsenal.
Around 9:00 I start doing closer examinations of the subjects, checking their vitals, seeing if anything has changed if we have done some experiments on what they should be doing differently in their every day basis. This is usually the most boring part of the day unless there’s a change in something. If there is, I examine what possibly could have changed that. The team also get their vitals checked, as a just in case.
After that’s all done I check my email and see if there’s anything I need to accomplish or take note of from any professors or fellow scientists who are needing my assistance. When I finish that, I start examining the specifics of the research subjects, studying Z-moves, Mega Evolution, Gigantamaxing, Branching Evolutions, etc etc. The team would act as practice partners for any times we need to study fighting moves.
We take a small break, I let the Pokemon have their fun and do what they want, me and the team usually take a nap at this point. I then finish up any leftover specific studies, then we break for lunch. I usually take this time to text my wife and see how everything is going on at home.
After lunch I do more microscopic work. I would study the DNA of Gregory for IV study, Sean for speaking, as well as Cotton/Bon Bon, Werth/Soust, Classy/Sassy/Brassy for their differences and Primis for the first Pokemon rumors. Gregory would use this time to take any Pokemon that want to (usually all fighting types) on a small training regimen, usually a lot of sparring using their specific styles. Sean would take a nap, Fuzzbutt would go off and explore a bit, usually getting into trouble with someone bigger than him, and Forger would paint.
When I finish up the microscopic work or my eyes get tired of it, I then would go out and study some wild Pokemon and study their behavior, the team usually comes along with me to make sure that I’m okay or in case of a rowdy or injured Pokemon. I often alternate this in the morning with specific studies on the subjects, that way I’m not only observing afternoon behavior.
After that, I answer back any emails, put any data that I have into Hacker, and then we have dinner. After dinner I call my wife and daughter and we talk about the day and what all happened, and after that, it’s usually pretty late so I head to bed and do the day all over again. It’s a lot of science and repetition but it’s always fun!

Who is Gregory? Is that a Pokémon?
Ah yes, I guess I forgot to mention that. I have a few Pokemon that I bring with me on my journey in order to help me research.
Gregory is my Machamp that assists me in protecting the research subjects and holding them down if they get too rowdy (we make sure not to injure any of the Pokemon). Since traveling to the Galar region, he is also my subject for researching Gigantamaxing.
Fuzzbutt is my Joltik that helps me out with keeping the Pokemon in place, and thunder waves any wild Pokemon that are attempting to attack. He stays in my coat often or on top of Gregory’s head.
Sean is my Slowking that is able to talk! He helps translate what Pokemon are saying and heals them when needed. I study him and how he can talk human speech.
Then I have a Smeargle named Forger that helps me with studying rarer moves, such as signature and legendary Pokemon moves. Unfortunately because Smeargle isn’t allowed in Galar, I’ve left him with a friend of mine back in Johto to continue some move research, and I’ll be filming any signature moves that I see.

How do you shower in the wild when it's cold?
Mary: Hello Anon! Bryan is busy right now and we just saw this in the ask box, so I might as well answer it for you since Bryan is very busy and would probably forget it again.
Bryan actually invented a pop up water dispenser that he uses for this stuff. It can become a shower/bath if needed plus a sink. There’s walls to the bath and he uses Sean’s Water Pulse to get it working. Then Gregory, Smeargle, and Fuzzbutt keep watch.

Hello, I am Bryan Wolfsbane and I am a traveling Pokemon scientist. I travel around the different Pokemon regions and study Pokemon. I run this blog as a way to inform people about Pokemon, their behaviors, their strengths, and how to care for them. I also study non-pokemon related subjects such as ancient ruins, pokerus, Pokemon myths, and Fighting Type Pokemon styles. I have a research team with me and research subjects that I study to learn more about. These include:
The Team:
Gregory the Machamp: a perfect EV and IV trained Machamp that I’ve had with me since it was a Machop. Now helps out with heavy duty jobs and defending the team, as well as a research subject for Gigantamaxing.
Fuzzbutt the Joltik: Keeping the Pokemon in place and thunder waves any wild Pokemon that attempt to attack.
Sean the Slowking: A Slowking that can speak human and assists me in translating what Pokemon are saying. Research subject for how he is able to speak.
Forger the Smeargle: Helps me study rarer moves such as signature and legendary moves thanks to sketch. Currently not in Galar with me but in Kalos with my wife and daughter.
Research Subjects:
Mocks the Mimikyu: Z-Moves
Amps the Ampharos: Mega Evolution/Gaining and Losing a type
Draco the Dragonite: Pseudo-Legendaries
Classy, Sassy, and Brassy the Kantoian/Alolan/Galarian Meowths: Regional Variants
Ty, Ro, Gue the Hitmons: Branching Evolutions
Werth and Soust the Gastrodons: Environmental Differences
King the Aegislash: Form Change
Fabu the Milotic: Pokemon Contests
Sunbu the Sunkern: Pokeathlon
Omas the Omastar: Fossil Pokemon
Roly the Electrode: Artificial Pokemon
Cotton and Bon Bon the Slurpuffs: Shiny/Regular Difference
Primis the Rhydon: The rumors of this Pokemon being the first Pokemon.
Pokemon Assistance:
Hacker the Porygon: Data Information Holding and Transferring
Grim the Dusknoir: Getting through traps and ancient ruins
Sandy the Castform: Changing Weather
Wags the Yamper: Retrieving balls and Fuzzbutt’s source of electricity.
