These are chirodactyl. Where as the nightsisters ride rancor, and the nightbrothers ride wolf-boars, the witches of the Misty Falls Clan favor chirodactyl as their mount of choice.
The obvious upside is flight. The downsides would be their smell, brainless hunger, and ill temper.
They have a very ill temper.

nothing's gonna harm you; misty/nat, 32k, explicit
Nat is waiting for Misty when she comes home, with news of another break-in. Misty makes sure to look shocked and confused when she says, “Oh, no!” and closes the front door behind her. “That’s awful.” Then, smiling wide, she holds up a bag of take-out. “Hungry? You can tell me what you found over dinner.”
or, Misty stages a series of burglaries to get Nat's attention, and it absolutely works. Eventually.
Read on AO3, or find the beginning of the fic below the cut.
Misty isn’t lying that first time.
Well, she maybe exaggerates the situation, sure. But she isn’t lying. Someone was in her house. She was sure of it.
Misty has always been observant, and her vigilance has only increased since they returned from the wilderness. She isn’t forgetful; someone was in her home, and someone was looking for something. And after, they had left a closet door open.
So Misty had done the most logical thing she could do, knowing the crime statistics she did: she put Caligula in a travel cage, she walked right back out of her house to her car, got in, and locked the doors.
And then she called Natalie.
“What?” Nat answers, a little too flat to be an actual question. Misty is used to the irritation in her voice. For a moment she considers reminding Nat of their new relationship—she had come to Misty to get rid of a body just a few days ago, and now they were closer than ever, remember?
But Natalie must be realizing the same thing, because her voice softens to that resigned, bone-tired tone instead. “Hi, Misty.”
Despite the situation, Misty smiles at the way Nat says her name. “Well, I just—” she remembers herself, and pushes her glasses back up. “I don’t want to alarm you, Nat, but someone just ransacked my house.”
“What?” Misty has her attention now. “Who? Why?” Nat doesn’t ask if Misty’s alright, but Misty forgives her—it’s a lot to take in.
“I don’t know. Maybe Adam was working with someone.” Caligula squawks, and Misty holds a finger to her lips until he settles down. “I’m in my car right now. I don’t know if they’re still here.”
“Shit.” Nat sighs hard into the phone, and Misty can almost pretend she feels her breath from the way the line crackles. “Stay in the car. I’m on my way.”
Nat hangs up before Misty can respond. Instead, she beams at Caligula and tells him, “We’ll be alright, sweet boy. Natalie is coming to protect us.”
***
Not While I’m Around is playing for the tenth time when Nat parks behind Misty’s car. Nat’s new vehicle is a far cry from her Porsche: a plain-looking sedan that must be ten years old, and squeaks when she parks it. Misty watches Nat get out in the rear-view window, and imagines that it was probably the fastest thing she could get on her limited funds; Misty knows Nat well enough to have a hard time imagining her without the freedom to leave at any minute.
Nat gets out of the car, and Misty rolls down her window as she walks up. “See anything while you’ve been out here?” she asks, and gestures toward Misty’s house.
From the moonlight and the streetlamps, Misty can see Nat’s rifle on her shoulder, and a few bullets peeking out of the pocket of her denim shorts. Her hair is loose and limp in places but kinked in others, and Misty wonders if she’d been lying in bed when Misty called. Nat leans forward and grabs the window frame. Misty can smell a faint trace of whiskey on her breath, and her hair smells smokey from her cigarettes.
Misty swallows, in awe of the woman in front of her. She doesn’t think she’ll ever get over the raw power Natalie exudes when she’s like this, or how confusing it feels—in moments like these Misty isn’t sure if she wants to be Nat, or be her best friend, or something...else. Something deeper. Something so powerful, it’s frightening.
“N—no, nothing,” she finally remembers herself, and answers Nat.
Sliding the rifle from her shoulder, Natalie checks the gun and loads it, the cracking noise echoing down Misty’s suburban street. “Good. Stay here.”
And she’s off, moving quickly up the stairs to Misty’s door, the heels of her boots clacking loudly up each step.
Misty only hesitates a moment before she whispers to Caligula, “Mommy will be right back,” and gets out of her car. She follows Natalie’s path, and steps across the threshold of her front door.
Suddenly Natalie is pointing the rifle at her face, and Misty’s eyes go wide. “Jesus Christ, Misty!” Nat snaps, lowering the gun and turning back to face the rest of the room. “I told you to wait outside.”
“I didn’t want you to do this alone,” Misty answers, and starts to follow Natalie through the house.
Nat doesn’t respond, just raises the rifle up as she makes her way through Misty’s home. She moves through the space quickly but thoroughly, opening doors and pointing her rifle inside each one. Misty whispers over her shoulder each time, identifying whether each is a room or a closet, and how likely it is someone could be hiding in there.
Natalie doesn’t acknowledge Misty’s words, but she rarely does. Instead, Nat completes the loop around Misty’s home until they wind up in front of the heavy basement door. This time Nat does look over her shoulder, and Misty reaches out to test the basement door. It hasn’t been locked since Jessica left, and it pops open when Misty turns the knob.
The lights are off, and Natalie squints as she peeks through the crack that has been opened. After a moment, her rifle flags a little and she gives Misty a suspicious look. “The fuck is down there?”
“A basement?” she whisper-snorts, because it’s pretty obvious. But Nat’s still looking at her, so she gives a little shrug and reaches across Natalie to the light switch just inside the door. She jerks her hand back as Natalie starts to move into the basement, rifle in front of her as she scans ahead.
There’s nothing down there, and the room is as neat and fresh as she’d left it a few days ago. All signs of Jessica have been destroyed, of course, and the space looks like a normal guest or panic room again.
“What’s all this for?” Nat asks at her normal volume, gun pointed down at the ground as she looks around. She walks over toward the bed, and for a moment Misty’s eyes widen, wondering if Nat will see the handcuffs tucked discretely between the mattress.
Misty’s heart beats faster as she wonders what Nat will think of her if she does; she’d assume that it’s something sexual, right? A thrill rushes up Misty’s spine as she considers what Natalie would think of that. Would she finally see Misty as fun? Would she finally see Misty as someone as flirtatious and sexual as herself? Someone worthy of thinking of like that?
But Nat’s eyes pass smoothly over the bed and back around the rest of the space. Misty feels relief and disappointment in turn, and shrugs innocently when Nat looks at her again.
“My basement guest-slash-panic room. You never know when a maniac will break into your house after all,” she gestures upstairs.
Nat snorts and puts the safety on the rifle before tossing it onto the bed. “What maniac?” She slides her free hands to her lower back and presses her hips out. Her eyes are dark, both from her usual kohl and the intensity with which she looks at Misty. “You said this place was ransacked, and I didn’t see a fucking thing out of place.”
Misty straightens, and pushes her glasses up. “I—I cleaned up a little before I thought to call you,” she scoffs to cover up the lie. Habit,” she shrugs one shoulder, and slides her hands into the pockets of her sweater.
Nat stares straight at Misty before she relaxes her shoulders and lets out a groan, and pulls her hair back away from her face. Misty has always been good at reading Nat—it’s part of why she’s Misty’s favorite, she never hides her irritation—but not in this moment. Nat seems frustrated, but not in the way she usually is with Misty, in the shallow way that Misty is happy to ignore until Nat nears her breaking point.
This time, Nat seems almost sad in her frustration. Disappointed, maybe?
“Fine,” she finally says, voice soft, and slings the rifle over her shoulder. “Show me what it looked like before I got here.”
Misty quirks her head to the side, reading Nat a moment, before she smiles at her and agrees, leading her back up the stairs. Once back up, Misty points out spots in her living room, kitchen, and hallway, where her books and drawers had been rummaged through and knocked over.
And the closet, which had actually been opened, though Misty makes sure not to make that distinction when she points it out.
“And what’s in here?” Nat asks, popping the door open all the way to reveal cleaning supplies and household tools that Misty rarely uses.
Misty shrugs, and looks up at Natalie with her widest eyes. “Nothing of value, surely. I have no idea what they would have been looking for in here, but I doubt they found it. All of my most valuable things are in a safe, and that was untouched.” Nat’s focus drifts from Misty’s face, so she rushes to add in her weakest voice, “That’s why I’m so scared. I have no idea what this could be about. I must have scared them off when I got home.”
As she hoped, Nat focuses back on Misty then, at the worry Misty makes sure is clear on her face. For a moment, Misty wonders if Nat might give her a hug and try to comfort her.
Instead, Nat stands up straighter, and clenches her jaw. “Well, then we need to be prepared for if they come back. If someone was working with Adam, then they probably know about...all of it,” she lowers her voice as she refers to the wilderness. She looks thoughtful, and leans up against the wall. “We might be able to get some answers about the blackmail.”
“Of course,” Misty wants to sigh, knowing by “blackmail” Nat means Travis’s murder, but instead she says it with sunshine and a smile. It would be nice if Natalie was primarily concerned about Misty’s well-being, but she can work with this, too. “We should set up a trap.” She feels a bolt of inspiration, and rushes to add, “And you could stay the night, so if they come back you can interrogate them right away.”
Nat gives her an incredulous look. “I’m not sleeping in your panic room.”
“Oh! My bed is plenty big, we can share. Like a good old-fashioned sleepover.”
Ignoring Misty as usual, Nat pushes off of the wall and walks over to the living room. She nudges the sofa with her knee. “This is fine.” She pulls the afghan Misty made last fall from the back of the couch, and sneers at the many throw pillows crowding the piece of furniture. “What kind of trap?”
Misty bounces a bit in excitement. “Let me grab Caligula, and then I can put a pot of coffee on and we can start brainstorming.” She lifts her shoulders and clasps her hands. “This’ll be fun!”

Are Friends Electric?
Kerry and V have had a row, don't blame me it wasn't my fault :D
Misty is worried, it’s almost three hours ago now that V had taken the elevator to the roof. This wasn’t unusual in itself as he often went up there to spend time with his thoughts, but this time he’d bypassed the store, presumably to avoid a conversation, Misty only knew he was up there because she’d seen the flash of his currently blue hair on the way past and then heard the hum soon after as the elevator made its way to the top of the building.
He’d seemed better, more stable lately. The operation had affected him mentally more than anything else, months of physical therapy had helped him walk again and build up enough stamina to start to go back to training, but his absolute refusal to talk about what happened to anyone but Kerry had been a worry, even to the Rockerboy himself.
She respected that he didn’t want to talk, he had a lot going on and found it hard to articulate, sometimes making him embarrassed and angry, but he’d gone up a long time now and Misty knew that it wasn’t long ago he’d been up there with a pill and a gun weighing up his options. Locking the door, she makes her way up to the roof.
-
Slouched on the grubby white garden chair V cuts a pathetic figure, a bottle in one hand and a cigarette almost burnt down to his fingers in the other. Misty sighs with relief, she’d expected worse although she’s only now realising it. Kneeling quietly in front of him she flicks the cig from his fingers and places the three-quarters empty bottle onto the floor gently shaking his knee to bring his attention around.
Now he lifts his head the tear tracks are evident, the redness of his eyes would have given him away regardless, the smudges on his cheeks seem to have come from wiping his eyes with bloodied knuckles.
“Who came off worse, you or the wall?” she asks him with a half-smile.
V sniffs loudly and just manages to look her in the eye, “Wall’s fucked, serves it right.”
Although now smiling, V is clearly very troubled, the smile only serving to make him look somewhat unhinged.
“Wanna talk about it?”
A non-committal shrug seems to be the best she’s going to get for now.
-
V had been is a stormy mood for the best part of a week, at first Kerry had tried to talk him around and get to the bottom of it, but he was being met with a brick wall every time and if he’s honest he has other shit going on that demands his attention so he’d reluctantly backed off and waited for whatever this was to burn itself out.
Louise is after more cash, holding the kids to ransom once again. Even though they’re grown she still has complete control, how had he not noticed what a controlling bitch she was until it was too late? Kerry is hunched over the laptop in V’s office trying to compose an email with the right balance of ‘Stop being a cunt’ and ‘Get fucked’ when the ex-merc storms in and swings Kerry’s chair around to face him, only just stopping short of giving the other man whiplash.
“Where the fuck are you going?” he spits indicating the overnight bag which Kerry has placed on the floor next to the elevator.
Kerry is taken aback but tries to keep his tone light, “I’ve got a two-day promo thing in Texas, I reminded you yesterday and it’s been on the calendar for weeks.”
“You’re leaving? Now? You can’t be fucking serious.” V has now taken to wildly gesticulating and pacing the room. “You can’t leave now.”
It was pleading more than threatening, but Kerry is still concerned. “I’ve got to babe, but I’ll be back Friday. We’ll go somewhere fancy for dinner when I get back, how ‘bout that?”
“You think throwing your cash around in an over-priced shithole is going to make this better? Fuck you Kerry, you have no idea what I’m going through, you’ve hardly even spoken to me in days.”
“I’ve tried talking to you and it’s hardly my fault that you never check the fucking calendar. Maybe a couple of days apart will do us good.”
Kerry is as stunned as V is when the words spill out of his mouth. The anger and hurt in V’s simmering gaze is more than Kerry can bear, but before he can try to explain or apologise the other man has stormed back through the door and Kerry winces on behalf of the lounge wall that has just been tastefully redesigned by V’s formidable fists. He sits with his fingers woven together and his head bowed for several minutes until the soft hiss of the elevator doors opening indicates that he is alone in the apartment and he goes to survey the damage.
-
That was yesterday morning, since then V has been going from bar to bar, getting into trouble and fitfully sleeping in a doorway, he can’t remember a lot of it, but as the anger receded and a deep sadness began to set in, he knew he needed to be here on the rooftop, alone with his thoughts. He finds some comfort in this place, feels close to Jackie and to Johnny, he talks out loud to them sometimes even though they’re gone, but he’s pleased that Misty is here now, his thoughts were getting darker and he was struggling to work up the enthusiasm to leave at all.
Misty moves to the other chair and hooks V’s pinky finger with her own sitting quietly looking out over the City and letting him get it all out in his own time. He tells her about the argument, about being hurt by what Kerry said, about being in a dark place right now and not feeling supported and she listens, nods and tightens the grip on his finger.
“Why do you think Kerry said what he said V?” Misty asks.
V bites back his first reaction and thinks for a moment before answering, “I’ve been a bit of a dick I guess, kicking off at the smallest things, chewing his ear off while he’s trying to work. No one else understands though, what it’s like to…” V stops and sighs.
“…be without Johnny?”
“Yeah, I guess. But he’s given up on me, just left me to work through it by myself, thing is I’m not sure I can.” V gazes sadly out over Night City, neon blurred by the tears returning to his eyes.
Misty puts her hand on his arm and turns to look him in the eye. “It’s a lot, what you went through, you’re struggling and that’s fine, but Kerry’s struggling too. He’s got his own demons, now he’s got yours as well, he’s doing his best but he’s out of his depth. There’s no shame in talking to a professional, someone who can unpick what you went through and set you back on a more positive path.”
“Yeah, I guess you’re right, but he was going to leave, today of all days he was going to leave me by myself and fuck off to Texas.”
“Does he know why today is important to you?” Misty has half guessed why, but needs V to confirm her suspicions.
“He should!”
“Now V that’s not what I asked…”
“OK, maybe not, but he should.”
-
Last year around this time V’s mood swings had been put down to the medication he was on, they were still changing it up every week trying to offset the side effects which seemed to manifest daily. He and Kerry hadn’t spent a more than a few moments apart since he came back, as soon as the shuttle landed, he’d been whisked to a room in a private facility with twin beds – which were quickly pushed together – and all the comforts of home.
A few weeks later they were back at the condo, Kerry still catering to V’s every whim, so grateful to have him back, but also feeling stretched beyond what he could easily cope with. Things began to slowly improve, Kerry could work while V was at physio or training, but he’d promised the universe that he’d always be here for V if it brought him back to him, and he was keeping that promise.
V said little about his time on the space-station, had all but blocked it out as far as Kerry could tell, but he would talk for hours about Johnny, the stuff he used to say about people, the memories he shared, how much he missed having him around. Kerry would listen attentively, much of what V told him was exactly how he remembered his old friend to be, irreverent, charming and a pain in the ass, the difference was, Kerry didn’t miss him, not anymore. Years of therapy had started the process, but meeting him again confirmed it, Johnny was his past and that’s where he could stay, V was his future.
This time two years ago, V had just sold his soul and was in an Arasaka funded facility orbiting the globe about to be ‘cured’ of his brain-parasite. He’d disappeared from the condo days before making up some excuse about a job, which Kerry had not believed as V has been too sick to work for weeks, and wasn’t heard of again until months later when he could finally get a call through and Kerry had saved him. What happened in those intervening weeks was a mystery to Kerry, some of it was a mystery to V.
Misty had correctly guessed that two years ago today Johnny had effectively died, and with him a piece of V was gone too. He would never be the same, but there was nothing stopping him being proud of the new, successful, generally happy and loved person he had become, and Misty told him so.
“I bet Johnny would be proud of how you’ve done, I am for sure.”
“Thanks Misty, Johnny would prolly call me a pussy and cuss me out for shouting at Kerry, but I appreciate the sentiment.”
“You know you need to find someone to talk to V, a professional, someone who can help.”
“Uh-huh, Kerry knows someone, keeps trying to palm me off onto him, maybe I’ll let him.”
“Good idea, and Vik and me are always here for you, you know that.”
V had been eternally grateful when Misty had finally forgiven him for helping Haniko, once she understood he didn’t feel like he had a choice she eventually came around.
“I know Misty, thanks.”
“And I think you’ve got some apologising to do.”
V nodded slowly, “Yeah, I need to explain everything to Kerry, he’s the best thing that ever happened to me but he’s not a fucking mind-reader. As soon as he gets back from Texas tomorrow, we’ll sit and talk – if he’s even still talking to me.”
“I am, just,” a honey-soaked gravel voice declares from the direction of the elevator, “though I’d be happier if you answered your fucking phone and didn’t make holes in our walls.”
V’s head whips around rendering him momentarily nauseous, Misty heads towards the open doors clutching at Kerry’s hand as she passes, he takes up her vacated spot and puts a hand on his input’s knee, searching his eyes.
“I…I thought you were in Texas.” V stammers covering Kerry’s hand with his own.
“And leave you like this? Texas will still be there next month, fuck em!”
They both chuckle and move to rest their foreheads together, “How’d you find me?”
“Gave you a couple of hours yesterday before calling, you didn’t fucking answer, called again, no fucking answer, called Vik, hadn’t seen you, called Mama Welles, hadn’t seen you, called Misty, she called you, you didn’t fucking answer…”
“OK I get it, I’m a dick. I put my calls on mute, couldn’t deal with it all. So, Misty called you today then?”
“Actually no, Vik did. Saw Misty pass as he was locking up and guessed where she was going.”
“Oh, right, listen Ker I need to explain…”
“All you need right now is a rest and a very long shower, anything else can wait til after. Did it help coming up here?”
“Yeah, yeah it did.”
“Good, that’s all that matters for now, let’s go home.”

I typically have two muses: nostalgic video games (mostly Jak and Daxter) and my sister. The two come together in this piece. She loved doing this mission as soon as I finished my favorite (the fishing mini game), so I made this to celebrate her help every time we played this game.

i just think there is something about how nat could never forgive herself for javi sacrificing himself for her. she was worse than all of them because she let this kid, her somewhat boyfriend's brother, her own family, her friend, die in her place. it was supposed to be her, she heard the cries from javi and watched him die nonetheless.
but now she didn't watch. she didn't watch at all when it came to lisa. she stole the fish. she intervened with her family. she died in her place. nat healed a part of her when sacrificing herself for lisa. it wasn't right. it wasn't her time. she didn't want to go, but she got to finally pay forward javi's sacrifice in a way that she's never been able to do and always been punishing herself for. she got to heal her inner child by saving lisa. ( the irony is that it may not have happened had she not gone to try and save lisa to begin with. not tipped her off to something happening. these are the consequences of the girls actions. they wanted a hunt through the woods, they got one. they went after shauna and called off services, nat pays the price. misty tries to solve the problem the way she has been but she's not a perfect serial killer and she missed. they covered up the wrong guy at the end of last season. they killed the wrong person at the end of this one. ).
travis didn't break the pact, but neither did she. she did better. (btw travis was on the plane <3)

MistyNat Au Prompts
This is here for anyone that wants to USE these prompts. I won’t be using them myself. When I come up with any more, I’ll add them to one of the lists in a different color. or at least try to change the color. but sometimes it doesn’t work for me.
You don’t have to ask or credit me. Enjoy.
Teen MistyNat AU ideas
College au: Having to share a dorm room, your typical jock and nerd friendship or romantic trope. Misty always offers to help Nat with her classwork, but Nat wants to avoid Misty's help. Nat can handle her classwork and soccer stuff on her own.
Role reversal Au: Misty is the punk/Gothic girl on the soccer team, while Nat is the weird nerdy girl, the group's equipment manager.
Theater/Play au: the football team pulls a prank on the theater kids. They end up distorting the play's set. The football team pins the stunt on the girls' soccer team, and the school forces them to help with the play, or they forfeit nationals.
Robin Hood Au: Nat is robin hood, Misty is Little Jon, Lottie is Maid Marion, Laurel Lee is friar tuck, and the rest of the yellowjackets are merry men. Umm... the males can be the villains.
Animal Transformation AU: (NOT OMEGA-VERSE) It’s just kind of like Animorphs, but not really. They just have the ability to turn into an animal. Maybe they gain this ability when they are in the wilderness. It’s up to you what animals mistynat can turn into (and the rest of the yellowjackets).
But I’m a Cheerleader AU: the yellowjeckts get sent to a rehab camp (cause all of them are gay as fuck) Mistynat are the main ship. and the rest are side ships that are either trying to get them together or stop them from dating.
Are You Afraid of the Dark Au: The yellowjackets sit around a campfire telling scary stories. Misty is an outsider looking to join the group. Some yellowjackets are skeptical if she could even mean a frightening tale (cause she is a theater kid, likes to show tunes and dresses weirdly). Maybe Natalie and a few others (maybe Van, Jackie, Tai, and Laura Lee) give her a test to prove she can tell a scary story. And perhaps someone tries to sabotage her frightening tale.
10 things I hate about you AU: (Basically the movies plot) Misty is Kat, Nat is Patrick, Jackie or Laura Lee is Bianca, and Shauna or Lottie is Cameron.
FoxFire AU: Misty and four other girls want to make a teacher pay for making sexual advances at them. The principal isn’t on their side and punishes the girls. Misty and the other four girls now including Nat. They break into the school, to get their confiscated items back. This leads to them setting an accidental fire. The girls grow closer but some of their demons are ready to pull them apart.
She’s All That au:  Misty is unpopular and bullied for her looks. Nat and the rest of the yellowjackets are pretty famous. Their team has gone undefeated in 3yrs. At one of their victory parties, some girls dare Natalie to turn Misty into the school's next prom queen. Natalie doesn’t like the idea initially, but when the girls say they will pay her (insert amount of money here) if Misty wins. Natalie agrees to do it. Misty doesn’t fully trust Natalie, yet she has been crushing on the star athlete for years. So, she lets Natalie help her with her looks while she helps Natalie with her school work. The two grow closer as they work together. Learning things about each other no one knows. When prom comes, everyone, even Natalie, is shocked by Misty’s new look (straighten hair Misty HC goes here). Misty overhears the other yellowjackets talking about the bet in the girl's bathroom. Sadly she knew Natalie was using her; she just hoped that Natalie would come clean and that they were becoming friends. Natalie (and maybe a few other yellowjackets) feels like shit for this stupid bet. Will Natalie be able to earn Misty’s trust again?
D3: The Mighty Ducks AU: The Yellowjackets are awarded scholarships to a prep school. They must play on the school JV team in their new school colors. Not only that, but they need to learn how to get along with the Senior varsity team. How can they when the Senior Varsity team is always pranking them? Can the yellowjackets hold their team together and overcome the senior varsity team's pranks, or will the team split? As a few members want to prank the seniors back, others want to take advantage of this opportunity they have been given. Besides adjusting to a new school and how they are treated there, some yellowjackets need to learn how to deal with their growing feelings for their teammates (MistyNat, LottieLee, JackieShauna, TaiVan). Will they survive at this school and finally confess their feelings to their teammate, or will they crash and burn?
Tumblr media
Adult MistyNat AU ideas
Medieval AU: Nat is a knight or rouge, and Misty tries to prove she can be Nat's apprentice. Caligula can be Misty's mini pet dragon.
Parents AU: Nat and Misty adopted (young) Lisa after realizing that Lisa's home resembles how they grew up. Nat is a teacher at Lisa's school, while Misty is the school's nurse. Both women rent a house together. They are both in denial about how they act like a married couple. They are nothing more than housemates. But one thing they do agree on is they care about Lisa.
Pirate AU: Nat and her crew sail the seas striking fear into the hearts of those that challenge her ship, The Yellowjackets. She and her first mate (whoever you think it should be) realize they are the only ship with an all (mostly all) female crew. Sadly one day, they find a woman who claims to be a doctor has stolen away on their ship. Misty is a self-proclaimed doctor that constantly wants more to life, so she decides to sneak aboard The Yellowjackets. Nat realizes that Misty might be helpful even though she is a headache (Misty would be like Stede Bonnet from Our Flag Means Death or AC4: Black Flag, change my mind.)
Person of Interest AU: Nat is Shaw, and Misty is Root. Or Nat is Shaw’s intern/apprentice, and Misty is Root’s shadow/apprentice.
Bodyguard AU: Misty is a particular person interested in a feral case. Tai hires Natalie to protect Misty at all costs. Though she does warn Natalie that Misty can be a handful. At first, Natalie doesn’t believe her old friend/teammate. Soon Natalie finds out how wrong she was to dismiss Tai’s warnings. Can Natalie handle this job, or will Misty be the end of her?
Never Been Kissed AU: Misty has to return to the hell hole that was once her high school. As a journalist, she must go undercover and discover what teens are into nowadays. Shauna, the school's English teacher, decides to help her. That is, if only Misty helps Shauna get closer to her daughter Callie, a popular girl. Misty agrees to help Shauna. Everything is going according to plan until Misty's old high school crush starts working at the school as a guidance counselor (or Radio teacher) Natalie Scatorccio. Will Misty be able to keep her promise while keeping her job, or will her past be too painful?
Tumblr media
Either Adult or Teen Au ideas
Buffy Au (crossover): Nat is a slayer in training (probably under Faith or Buffy... maybe both), While Misty could be either a witch (training under Willow AND Tara cause Tara didn't die) or she could be a vengeance demon (like Anya)
Fake dating au: Misty asks Nat to pretend to date her, hoping Walter will lose interest in her. Nat only agrees to do so when they "break up" Misty promises to leave Nat alone.
Arranged marriage au: Maybe Nat's parents and Misty's parents are business partners, and they want to keep the business in the family, so they decide that their kids should get married.
Xena Au: Nat is Xena, and Misty would be Gabrielle
Groundhog's Day au: Misty is sent back to either when she broke the black box or the night she killed Nat. If she doesn't stop herself from doing one of those things, that day will start over until she figures out what to do. (Like if she picks the day she distorted the black box and fails to not destroy it. That night she'll have dreams of future events. But they'll only not come true if she does destroy the black box. And if she picked the day she killed Nat, she'd have symbolic dreams about that day.)
The Crow Au: You could make up your own Crow story or follow any of the movies/comic books. Cause honestly both Misty and Natalie would make for a great ‘immortal’ character that wants to get revenge on those that kill her lover.
Wild Things AU: (Kind of similar to 98′ movie. but not really) Nat and Misty come up with a plan to get revenge on their guidance counselor (cause maybe he is a dick). Maybe they end up killing him (or whatever) and now they have to cover it up. Or they just expose him for the dick he is. (yes i know the girls are the villains in this movie. I don’t care cause I’m changing stuff, deal) Maybe the fall in love or in bed along the way.
Viking AU: Idea coming soon?! I hope lol

okay so seeing as i wrote my first official misty thing the other day, this is her official "she is added to the blog" post ! i've added some important notes to her muse page, but to summarise~
shipping is extremely low priority for her lmao. i personally hc her as a closeted lesbian ( because i do not think this girl is genuinely interested in men at all but is simply masking and acting how she thinks a girl should ) but i also see her as someone who would struggle immensely with a traditional relationship. even though i don't ship her & walter together there's a reason their "relationship" is so odd and non-conforming lmao. basically tl;dr; i will be very surprised if i ever ship her with anyone, at least not without a huge amount of plotting ( and dedication from the interested party because jesus christ lmao ) behind the scenes
she also fits into the category of muses ( like flint & villanelle ), who i prefer some plotting for before interaction. she is off-putting, clingy, obsessive and dangerous and by design as a character is annoying and difficult to like. i won't tone that down and i don't expect anyone to tone down their characters' reactions to her. her off-putting nature is why i'm writing her :D
i also won't be writing a full bio for her yet. considering where s2 of yj ended, i'm holding out in case s3 gives us anything more to go on in regards to why misty is the way she is and her home environment pre-crash ( because this girl had Issues way before the plane went down ). it may not, in which case i'll run with my own ideas, but for now they'll just remain my ideas until i get any potential further confirmation.

@musesofhororr asked: “   you  are  so  strong .   ” { From Misty for Cordelia }
Tumblr media
strong. a force cordelia didn't always feel inside the marrow of her bones. at times strength was difficult to just feel it in the small lines of her fingertips. misty was always encouraging. always motioning the light in the darkest of spaces, and sometimes cordelia needed just that. " it's not always easy." the blonde gave an offering of a gentle grin to her worried expression. " managing a group of teenage girls feels like a jam packed melodrama." she was tired..but determined. " angst mixed with abilities is a poor concoction."
