I know that Chat Blanc is an ep with very mixed opinions about it

Some love it, some hate it

I’m just really confused by it

It’s another case of Marinette being punished and told “it’s your fault” when it really wasn’t. Sure her being a creep was painful to sit through, but compared to what Adrien, Gabriel and Bunnix did she’s basically innocent. At least in my opinion

I think instead of it being a “Bunnix pointlessly traumatizes Marinette” episode, it should have been used to teach Chat Noir a lesson. Especially considering how little Chat Blanc seems to affect her, with only 2 exceptions.

I’d have used it to knock some sense into Adrien. Since he, y’know, LIED to Marinette once he discovered she’s Ladybug and used that info to immediately date her. I’d have had Bunnix show him the destroyed future, which he caused after taking advantage of knowing LB’s identity. (Well his dad caused it too) Teaching him that he needs to prioritize Paris’s safety over his own feelings, and that Ladybug doesn’t owe him her secret identity.

Plus Chat Blanc the akuma didn’t even need purifying, since he gets deleted from the timeline. Chat could have gone back in time and prevented himself from learning LB’s identity, erasing the Chat Blanc timeline from existence. And idk just covering his ears when CB tries saying what LB’s real name is.

Plus Chat Noir vs Chat Blanc cat fight plz and thank you.

Which would then transition nicely into my idea for Chat in Season 4, overdoing it with his helpfulness and stepping on everyone’s toes. With him then learning that he needs to find a balance. His feelings should also be important to him, but not at the cost of other’s well being. Balance is key.

Chat Blanc feels like an important episode, but very very little comes of it. Season 3′s finale, as terrible as it is, still impacted the plot more than CB ever did.

(Edit) I’ve been asked to tag this as Adrien salt. But I personally don’t consider this Adrien salt. It’s Adrien criticism, yes, but not written with any hatred towards the character. He’s poorly written and I’m trying to find ways to make him more active. Now I just sound like an overly enthusiastic fitness trainer. But alright I’ll cave and put the tag in. I don’t agree with it but it’s not a hill I’m willing to die on.

Akuma Swarms and Apathetic Resistance

(This concept was created mainly for my fanfic "The Warm Embrace of Shadow" over on Ao3, but if you want to include it in your own AUs or reinterpretations of MLB, go ahead 💕)

Akumas infiltrate a host through exploiting emotional instability and similar weaknesses. The process goes as follows:

Akuma "burrows" through a personal belonging of the host

Hawk Moth establishes a telepathic connection, offers a deal to exchange power in return for Miraculi, etc. etc.

Victim accepts, Akuma is now fully "lodged" in its host

Of course, most instances of near-akumatization fail before Step 3, possibly even Step 1 or 2 if the victim is vigilant and manages to scare it off. The akumas are usually left to their own devices up until they capture a victim, meaning they can be spooked very easily.

....However... this also means they mindlessly follow people with very potent negative emotions. In swarms.

Unfortunately for the akumas, potent and long-lasting negative emotions are often the result of chronic mental illness or of problems that are too complex to be easily "solved" by making a deal with Hawk Moth.

This leads to the "victim" constantly rejecting the akumas that swarm them on a regular basis, and growing a general spite for them (and butterflies in general) as well as for Hawk Moth. This is the catalyst for the phenomenon of Apathetic Resistance.

So, what does Apathetic Resistance entail?

Well, for starters, not only are you rarely ever going to be akumatized again... But also, you are less affected (sometimes even immune) to the abilities of akumatized villains.

It's not like someone who's already developed apathetic resistance is going to care very much for the relatively trivial issues that people *do* get akumatized over. It's just how life is--So, they just go about the rest of their day.

....This also applies to the Miraculous Abilities of akumatized holders. Which sucks, especially if that 'ability' is the sweet release of death.

Yup! I'm doing this!

I'm bringing in Chat Blanc to my AU. I ditched the blue for purple mostly for symbolism. Blue is tranquility, trust, honesty, loyalty, sorrow, calm, etc. Purple is mystery, magic, royalty, transformation, and even in some cases, cruelty.

This Chat Blanc will be merciless, seeking nothing but utter destruction. It will take only Ladybug, his equal and counter, to bring him down. But will she be able to save a deranged, akumatized Chat Noir?

Announcement for Timey Wimey:

Timey Wimey Uh Oh is currently still being written and is also currently going through some rewriting. In order for the story to flow and seem less jam packed with things that are not needed in the story some things are being removed.

Some unifications are being cut, Huntress and Pegabug along with Lady Fae and Lady Celine are safe! They will be in the story. But the butterfly/peacock unification is being cut and so are the water power ups. The ice power ups are staying but only limited to a few miraculous(cat, ladybug, butterfly, peacock). Other power ups are also being cut as well as they make no sense in the story. Some kwami swaps are also being cut too. The main seven and the Rabbit, and mouse are the only ones staying.

The chapter art is also done for chapter 5 and this chapter may be longer than the last one.

Also once we pass chapter six I will be posting a side story about Marinette’s time stuck in the past. This was supposed to be a part of the main storyline but I realized it would only ruin the plot and drag it out too much. So it will be turned into a side story. This side story will dig deeper into Marinette’s feelings of being stuck in a nostalgic time while we also get to see how Chat Blanc is doing without her.

Thank you all for your patience, this hobby of mine makes me happy and I’m so happy that my story is inspiring all of you. I have many responsibilities in my normal life(an adult needs money to survive) and sometimes I’m not great with writing at all but this story is one of my greatest works and I’m just so proud of how far it’s come.

I put my heart and soul into this story and the art. Heck if I posted all the unused sketches or designs on here it would seem like I’m working for the Miraculous studio itself! But I really do appreciate all the patience you all have for me.

With the state Adrien was in just before the finale, can you think of any way he could have made it to the final battle without getting akumatized or otherwise being a liability?

So I've talked about how the final could have been improved by Adrien being the one to get the ring to Paris or by having Ladybug fight while Adrien goes and finds the jump rope lucky charm so that they can save his father but there is one other path you could take without massive rewrites. A path I haven't talked about because - imo - Chat Blanc and Ephemeral made it impossible by establishing that Gabriel is a terrible father who doesn't care about traumatizing Adrien and/or using him for evil.

If we accept the final's retcon that Gabriel totally loves his son and would change his wish at the last minute (a premise I DO like, but not one that the show earned) then here's what you do: have Ladybug and Chat Noir be at the final fight after Adrien fought off the nightmare dust the same way that all of his friends got to do. Have everyone's identities revealed during the fight so that Gabriel doesn't have time to plan. Have Gabriel do his normal evil route and command Chat Noir to stop fighting/switch sides, leading to Gabriel winning and getting both miraculous.

Have Gabriel in his moment of triumph release his son so that Adrien can share in this moment because Gabriel truly thinks that Adrien will be on his side now that Adrien has had a moment to process everything. Have Adrien instead run to Marinette, crying, apologizing because he couldn't save her. Because he's supposed to be her protector and he failed.

Have a horrified Gabriel flash back to when Emilie was lost because Gabriel always blamed himself for letting her use the peacock instead of him and now he's FORCED his own son to go through the same kind of pain. Have Gabriel suddenly question his goals at the sight of his child's anguish. Have Gabriel look at his wife, knowing that she never wanted to be saved. Have Gabriel make his final wish: give my son my humanity. Let him be free so that no one can put him through this again. Make me the senti. Everything fades in a ball of light.

Cut to graveyard. Adrien is dressed in black standing before his parents' grave stone, holding his mother’s broach. Marinette joins him, taking his hand, squeezing it.

He squeezes back, then sighs, putting the broach in his pocket.

“I wish that I had more than this. Even their wedding rings are gone.”

Marinette smiles, tapping his miraculous. “You’ve got the only ring you’ll ever need right here, Kitty.”

Adrien smiles back. “I don’t know, in a few years, I’d like to add one more.”

She blushes and he laughs, kissing her softly. Then they hug each other tight. Adrien looks at the graves longingly, then closes his eyes and tightens his hold on Marinette. He's got long journey of healing ahead of him, but with his Lady, he can do anything.

That's probably the most satisfying thing that I can come up with without completely rewriting the whole season (or even the whole series). The basic premise behind this rewrite is that letting an old video of Emilie change Gabriel's mind makes no sense in the story they wrote.

For starters, there is no way that this is the first time that Gabriel is hearing these words from her. I mean, you really believe that she took the time to make videos for Nathalie, but never actually talked to her husband? Of course you don't! So why would the video change his mind when the real woman couldn't?

This is especially true because the video is played at the end of a season that started with Gabriel choosing defeating Ladybug over saving his wife!!! In other words, the narrative has literally gone out of its way to establish that Emilie has no sway over him when it comes to Ladybug. You do not write Evolution (S5E1) if you want to have this be your ending, but they did and nothing in season five undermined Evolution's message, so this ending makes no GD sense.

But Gabriel changing his mind because of Adrien? We have actually seen that before and we want the Father-son relationship to build to something big. We also want the senti stuff to build to something big. This type of change would satisfy those expectations while also giving a resolution to the central conflict of season five: Gabriel trying to control his son because he thinks that he knows best. A conflict that will now never be resolved because Gabriel will never have that moment where he gives up control. His final act was literally controlling the fate of the entire universe. That is not a satisfying conclusion for a villain who's all about control!!!! It doesn't matter that he's dead if you let him control his death! But if he has control of the universe and uses that control to do the opposite of what he's been trying to do all season? Arguably the entire series? That is actually a somewhat meaningful and powerful conclusion to one of your main themes.

Yes, Emilie was his motivation, but he gets to be with Emilie, so he didn't actually give her up. He still gets exactly what he wanted and controlled the fact that he got to be with his wife while also further traumatizing his son! This is not a meaningful surrender of control. This is Gabriel just having enough and deciding he wants to be with his wife and Nathalie can deal with Adrien from now on even though she has never expressed any interest in being Adrien's primary guardian. Idk, let's not get into it, this is already long.

Routes the story could have gone down that make sense story-wise and wouldn’t leave Adrien an orphan, again:

1. Gabriel looses the miraculous, Ladybug uses some unknown power (since hers are illimited and she can create anything) to cure him and Nathalie in exchange for Gabriel's promise not to go after the miraculous ever again or she'll expose him to the public. Then Gabriel starts to focus on rebuilding his bonds with Adrien and Nathalie, realises he has feelings for Nathalie and tries to confess to her (Adrien offers him to help by coming up with plans to woo Nathalie, then all the other kids join in, hijinks ensue). As the new Hawkmoth appears, Gabriel decides to stay out of it, but as it becomes clear that the new villain is worse than he ever was, he offers his knowledge and resources to the heroes to stop the threat.

Simple, but hopeful. Gabriel and Nathalie are more background characters now, but they add to Adrien’s story without being the focus.

2. Since it has been established in “Chat Blanc” rewriting the timeline is a posibility, have Marinette and Gabriel go back right after the first akuma attack with Bunnyx’s help and have Gabriel confront himself. Have him tell himself he’ll loose everything (Nathalie, Adrien and his life) if he goes down that road (he shows him the effects of the cathaclysm). PastGabriel then is convinced to give up the two miraculous, that Ladybug immediately takes to PastFu, while PresentGabriel reassures him not all is lost. That while Emilie was his past, his future has been standing next to him this whole time (looks at Nathalie). After Ladybug and Gabriel go back to the changed present, they witness the new reality. Adrien is happy with Gabriel and Nathalie. The Gabriel from the first reality is satisfied, smiling he thanks Ladybug for everything, and when she uses the “miraculous ladybug” power, they both disappear. Cut to NewMarinette (still LB) going to get Adrien (they know each others identities) to hang out together, while Gabriel and Nathalie look proudly at them.

A light reboot and kind of a cop-out, but with a moral lesson (letting go) and offers a clean slate to better develop characters that were poorly treated by the writing of s1-s5.

3. If you don’t want to have Gabriel get off scott free, have him be defeated and taken to the temple by the guardians of the miraculous. There, he and Nathalie are cured (5000 years of miraculous history they have to have a cure, or use LB’s power like in plot n°1), and Gabriel is rehabilitated (Adrien visits him regularly). A couple of years later he goes back to Paris a changed man (maybe as a member of the order to help the heroes fight the new Hawkmoth).

This one has more potential for the story going forward and allows us to expand on the temple and other miraculous. Maybe a set-up for a spin-off. centered around the temple and more lore focused.

All these options work within the frame we were given by the writers and don’t make use of the “wish”, which was the main goal of the series. But I guess the witers forgot. C'est la vie.

Oooh I did something cool(?) relating to Chat Blanc and Ephemeral in my rewrite.

My MLB rewrite has a thing about time travel. The past is static, if something happens then that was always meant to happen.

Unless the miraculous are involved. They are the variable that can change the timeline. The rabbit holders have the power to mess up and fix the timeline. So does any Akuma or Amok if given a similar power. If the rabbit helps the timeline stay on track then that help is considered "canon" to the past.

During the events of my rewrite of Evolution Monarch travels through different points in time and predictably messes up the timeline at some points. The most notable mess ups are in a random time when Monarch causes damage to a building where a fencing tournament is being held. The tournament runs long and causes Adrien to be late during the events of Chat Blanc. The other is when he is the indirect cause of why Bob Roth got Akumatized in Ephemeral. Leading to the whole reveal set up and eventually victory for Gabe.

The reason why these doomsday episodes occur is because Monarch unintentionally causes the timeline to split and destroy themselves.

These mess ups are why Adult Bunnyx passes out from fatigue and ends up crashing at the younger Kubdel household. They fixed all of the "Monarch Messups" that didn't need interference from a ladybug, or that sorted themselves out in one night. Yep Alix pulled an all nighter.

I know this still leaves holes in the plot but I think it makes at least a little sense which is more sense than canon Miraculous.

My ideas for if I were to rewrite Miraculous Ladybug

Chloé Bourgeois would get a proper redemption. -She would give up on trying to please her mother after Ladybug offers words of encouragement after Queen Wasp -She develops a positive relationship with her half-sister when Zoé moves to Paris. Also, the characters actually react to the revelation that Audrey had an extramarital affair that produced a child close to Chloé in age.

Gabriel Agreste is more consistent with his standards and qualms. While he is willing to take advantage of an emotionally-vulnerable Marinette to Akumatize her (as in Zombizou, Chameleon, and Ladybug), he would not go out of his way to ensure that she is broken in such a way, and he would use his powers to discretely protect her from Cash by Akumatizing him and leading him away from her. Also, he would never, under any circumstances, Akumatize Adrien.

-Adrigaminette is endgame. There are plenty of shipping moments between the three of them. -Ladybug and Chat Noir reveal their identities to each other at the end of Season 3, and then they start dating, and they also both start dating Kagami as well. -For a bit into Season 4, Kagami is still out of the loop, which causes some tension. -The main plot of Glaciator 2 is moved up to Season 3, because that's one of my favorite episodes. There's also the bonus of including the scene of Hawk Moth aborting the release of his Akuma when he refuses to corrupt Adrien, so you know Chat Blanc and Ephemeral are never going to happen.

Since the incidents that incite the premise are off the table, Chat Blanc does not happen. It is referenced, however, as Adrien has a nightmare that is pretty close to what happened in the episode, minus the time travel rectification.

Season 3 would have a Sandboy redux episode/chapter, which shows new nightmares: Chat Noir's nightmare would manifest Chat Blanc (and at one point, Ladybug would have to fight him solo); Chloé's nightmare is her relapsing back into her old ways and becoming as bad as her mother, which would manifest in the form of Queen Wasp; Marinette's new nightmare would be Lila turning her friends against her (I guess it would be like a Salt fic).

Chloé does not become Miracle Queen. Hawk Moth tries to turn her to his side, but she pretends to accept his deal long enough to get the Bee Miraculous and then uses the trompo to fly off and flee so she can warn Ladybug (Hawk Moth is surprised and he's also holding the Miracle Box, so he can't simply stop her before she jumps off the roof). He switches to Plan B, which is Lila. -The episode largely plays out the same way, although Lila takes the Fox Miraculous as she becomes Miracle Queen. Her mind control drones still resemble bees, mostly, as Hawk Moth does not feel like changing the power set too much. Queen Bee joins the Battle of the Miraculous. The conflict basically ends the same way, but afterward Ladybug and Chat Noir discuss the new status quo and decide they need to trust each other more than ever, and they reveal their identities to one another.

My favorites fics

So, im a spanish speaker who is still learning english and my teacher said that if i want to improve i need to write/speak more in my ordinary life...and theres no better way of doing that that writing about my hiperfixations on Tumblr, so here i go.

This is the first long post that i do, so im sorry if i have any grammar mistake, im trying i swear 😔✌️

So here's the list (without order):

The Growing Pains Of Child Soldiers by BloodWolf13 What do the citizens of Paris do, when they realize that their heroes are literally growing up before their eyes? They freak the fuck out. Or everybody realizes that the heroes of Paris are young teenagers and are a little (extremely) worried about children fighting a terrorist.

I have always been wondering if in canon parisian knows that Ladybug and Chat Noir are just teenagers.

I mean, in season 1 we have Theo having a crush on Ladybug (ik that Thomas said that hes like 16/19 but still weird) so i asumed that people thought that they were adults but then remembered that in Bubbler, he didn't talk to Ladynoir as if they were adults.

Then Sabine is worried about them bc they have been working a lot and this fic shows how it could be if the other adults of paris worried about them too.

It was interesting for me because its like a realistic version of mlb paris socity, the discussions about mental health, ethical dilemmas and literally has a university essay in the first chapter. Its an amazing fic and if somebody knows if the author has a tumblr let me know pls.

Review of Les aventures de Ladybug et Chat Noir by @sunfoxfic Alya Cesaire, moderator and writer for the Ladyblog, reviews the newest movie in France — Les aventures de Ladybug et Chat Noir. How will this movie hold up to the hype? How will it hold up to the truth? All on the Ladyblog.

In-universe fics are my favorites, i like to see the events of the show from the pov of a normal civilian and the love that parisians have for Ladybug and Chat Noir. In this fic we have a review of the Ladybug and Chat Noir movie by Alya, one thing that i found funny is how in-universe Lady and Chat have like 2 or 3 movies while in real life we just got the 1 movie 3 months ago 😭.

Also, its funny that poor Adrien probably was forced by his father to do that role just like in Frightningale and he had to act like Chat Noir good enough for his father but not so good that anybody could tell that it was the same voice.

Miraculously Ladybug? by @the-angst-lord ON HIATUS FOR UNTIL SEASON 5 PROBABLY Marinus "Xiang" Dupain Cheung just wanted to go to school and keep his head down, design clothes, and bake cookies. Instead, he finds himself jumping across rooftops, defeating supervillains and partnered up with a cat who has the ability to destroy anything he touches. What a first day of school. Adrien Agreste just wants friends and the freedom to live his life outside of his father's influence. He's all too eager to become a hero of justice and defend the people of Paris. Gaining a handsome ladybug-themed partner who embodies said ideal is just a bonus.

I really enjoy the genderbend fics and this has to be the best rewrite of the show that i've ever read.Marin has the best features of Marinette, but with his own essence and characterization, when you read you really know that he is a reinterpretation of Marinette character and i looooooooooved him.

The situations, the relationships and the reinterpretation of Chat Blanc was so goooood.

I also loved the Dupain-Cheng family background in Shangai special ✨

Perfectly Platonic (Unless…) by @frostedpuffs After accidentally revealing their identities in less than ideal circumstances, Adrien and Marinette must navigate their newfound relationship as both partners and friends. Becoming best friends was a quick process, but when romantic feelings begin to bleed into what's supposed to be a platonic connection, their friendship starts to change in more ways than one. Surely it can't be that hard to hide their feelings from their best friend? (A post-reveal, pre-relationship fic full of romantic crushes, best friend shenanigans, and a whole lot of dumbassery.)

I just lost count of the times that i've re-read this fanfic, the jokes are so funny and Adrinette acting like Ladynoir and Ladynoir acting like Adrinette >>>

Okay so I have a lot of explaining to do about why this came to me in my (personal) rewrite/redesign of Nathaniel but run with me now.

I gave Nathaniel really strong eyes that allow him to see a lot of things really well, mainly based off of my rewatch of Rogercop where he was literally nowhere near the bracelet but still sketched every detail accurately. Anyways, I decided, "oh he can see through the Miraculous Glamour," and have been thinking of him being the Unofficial Sidekick/Therapist of every holder because he makes a point to tell Marinette and Adrien that he knows its them.

Edit, 10/8/23: This is now an OC named Jonathan. This happens to me a lot where my headcanons get out of control. You can keep reading for an au if you want, though. I'm not gonna edit this. I think it's a little cute as an au

He tells Adrien, who does not care how. He's just excited to finally tell someone everything and complains about being a model and his father's behavior. I can imagine Nathaniel going, "My parents would love having you around for dinner" offhandedly and literally that night Chat Noir showing up with flowers and Nathaniel's siblings freaking out over a superhero standing in their living room. Adrien coming to Nathaniel's house when he has nightmares of being Chat Blanc that feel a bit too real. Nath being convinced by Adrien to wear the miraculous and Adrien complimenting his cool costume and fashion. Nathaniel was freaked out the whole time that he'd have to be Chat Noir for a fight and dropped the magic so quick.

He tells Marinette, and she immediately gets scared and spirals. He has to sit her down and explain that he can just see through the magic. She asks him to make up an excuse for her to skip out on classes and advice on how to be a superhero because he's more into the genre than she is. She tells him about Chat Blanc when she gets her first nightmare over it. She begs Nath before Hack San to tell Chat Noir for her that she had to leave and basically asking him tons of favors like babysitting for her if there's an akuma. Nathaniel being the only one to help collect miraculous because there's no way he wouldn't know who's who.

I only just had the thought of his dynamic with, say, Argos, or Queen Bee if she didn't reveal herself.

He still tells Queen Bee (maybe it's a redemption arc or something) that he knows and she shows up at his house, bragging about how she saved some guy from a mugger, wanting praise and validation and he goes, "you called me a cherry colored bitch today. That immediately negates the good you did."

Or, say she doesn't help Ladybug and Chat during akumas because they're on bad terms, and he's been trying to convince her to do the bare minimum and help civilians or something. Slowly, they start getting into fights more. Maybe she goes too far, and he outsmarts her, steals the miraculous, and gives it back to LB. Then Chloe and Nath start butting heads and arguing often in class a lot, but they can't say why, so it's never resolved properly. But Adrien and Marinette have thoughts.

Imagine Argos bursts in and starts gushing about Kagami and all the shit he learned about her and how cute she is because he doesn't have friends to talk about this with and decided, "well, he knows who I am already so," and Nathaniel is just thinking the entire time, "isn't he the bitch that pretended to be Adrien and got three people akumatized?"

Or he picks up the slack for the Ladyblog when Alya gets the fox full time even though they aren't friends in civilian form. He doesn't have an explanation to anyone why he's doing that, so he just runs away because he's not very good at this whole sidekick thing.

Nathaniel slapping Nino when he tries to reveal Alya's identity. Imagine Rocketear doesn't even happen because Adrien, being surrounded by his very best friend, counters Nino's reveal with his own reveal.

That part in Kuro Neko where Marinette freaks out over Chat Noir leaving? That entire episode Nathaniel is just exhausted. He's talking to Adrien about his decision. He's telling Marinette why he doesn't want the miraculous back. He's having to travel to each person's house to collect the Miraculous. Marinette might ask him to replace Chat Noir, so now he's gotta go to Adrien's house AGAIN and manages to get that part rolling, hopefully.

Wishmaker Luka immediately asks for Nathaniel's address, barges into his house and collapses on the floor because "Oh my Kwami, it's a fucking Love Square". Ephemeral definitely happens differently because Marinette's plan is something she runs by both Luka and Nathaniel. She is immediately shut down by Nath because it's against his code to reveal someone else's identity without consent. Or maybe Nathaniel is there at the secondary pick-up point with Luka and Su Han realizing that he has to know more and tries to threaten Nath to tell him who CN is. Nath's like, "Good point, but I'm not telling you. Go ask him yourself, fucking loser," or some stupid shit. My point is that Ephemeral probably is different or doesn't happen.

The dynamics are just funny to me cause Nathaniel is actually really tight-lipped about everyone's identity, and it doesn't matter who the person is to him. He'll keep it a secret. The only person he would reveal in a heartbeat is Hawkmoth, but he's never met him in person, and that's why Hawkmoth hasn't been jumped yet.

Actually, that weird KND scene with Nathaniel with the mustard gun would probably make him short-circuit, and it'd take him like a week to tell Adrien that that's his dad. Queue the series ending with Gabriel getting curbed stomped Owl House style by super-powered 15 year Olds.

Evillustrator would have to go differently though, either it just doesn't happen, or Nath just wasn't thinking about either of them, so Hawkmoth doesn't realize he knows, or Nathaniel is particularly unlucky during this episode. Either way, Hawkmoth is none the wiser.

My attempt at drawing Chris in the show's style. I also made Stephan but I can't find it...

The plot used to be so... weird and confusing... This is the only thing I wrote down about it. It's nothing like this right now. None of this applies to the au. Take this with a grain of salt.

Adrien becomes Chat Noir and Marinette Ladybug, later on Chris gets the White Lion miraculous. However after a while Adrien gets his miraculous taken away because he doesn’t take hero job seriously, is entitled etc... He doesn’t get his memories earased. Then Marinette gets Ladybug taken away and Master Fu earases her memories. Chris know that Adrien was Cat Noir, he saw him get his ring taken away and then he saw Chris. Adrien knew that Chris knows but doesn’t know that he's Lion Blanc. Lion Blanc doesn’t know that Adrien was Cat Noir. None of them know who Ladybug was.

Then Plagg took the ring, because Fu told him to pick a new holder, and ran away with it planing on find a new holder on his own. Plagg finds Stephan and leaves the ring on his table. Stephan actually disliked Chat Noir. Then he became Gato Noir.

Later, after Lila comes to their class, Stephan comes to their class. The class tries to befriend him but he refuses/is quite cold to them. After a few attempts he starts hanging with Chrsi and Marinette a little. Stephan is in denial. After Chris learns that his mom is Guardian Chat Noir knows his identity, but Chris doesn’t know that he knows. Blanche tells him to watch over Chris. He doesn’t tell Chris. He hangs out with Marinette and Chris, especially with Chris, more. Chris starts to develop a crush on him.

When Chris has a mental breakdown in front of Marinette he reveals his identity to her. After that he tells Gato Noir that one person knows his identity, and that he can tell someone his. He tells Chris, then they have a big fight(not physical, it’s after an akuma attack on a rooftop). 3 days after, Chris gives the Ladybug miraculous to Marinette.

Antonio arrives and is horrified at what happened to Chris. He and Henri have a talk.

Stephan apologizes and Chris starts forgiving him.

Blanche is Chris's mom, Antonio and Henri are his older brothers. Antonio doesn't exist anymore.

This was when I was reading a lot of salt. I don't like this.

Also, Blanche used to have two 'siblings' who used to be miraculous holders, they also don't exist.

It is a bit spoiler-y but who cares at this point

Chat Blanc isn't an akuma, he doesn't destroy the world in an alt timeline. Technically he barely has anything to do with the real Chat Noir Instead he appears when Marinette is undergoing Guardian training. She unifies the snake and the ladybug to create a power called "Simulation", where she can practice scenarios without any actual risk.

Chat Blanc is the "worst case scenario" simulation, and this really messes with Marinette's head. He returns as a Sentimonster the following season, her Sentimonster. Her deepest fear.

The garden's overgrown - A series of oneshots where Lila has the Rabbit Miraculous and Luka the Mouse. This is (Seemingly) one sided Lila/Luka, a completely different Guardian and Hawkmoth never came into the picture.

Miraculous is just disappointing me now

So. I watched Kuro Neko.

And the only thing going on in my head throughout the episode was “WHAT THE FUCKKKKK”

First of all, we have absolutely sad and depressed Adrien, who’s just done. We finally see him acting like chat for like two seconds and after that, he gives his miraculous up. Imagine. This boy, whose greatest escape was being Chat Noir, gave it up.

Secondly, we have Marinette. I completely understand why the majority of the fandom has started to hate on her, but I just couldn’t she’s stressed beyond measure and she’s stretched tighter than a drum and honestly, she needs a break. She needs to get out of Paris on a whole for a day or something and just relax. I saw those dark circles and felt for her. This is a 14 year old with way too many responsibilities in life.

And then, Plagg is amazing and it’s clear how much he loves Adrien. But every single time he told Adrien to change himself, I just wanted to cry, because being Chat Noir is when he truly expresses himself. When he told him to have the same persona as when he was dealing with Nathalie and his dad, I had to pause cuz holy shit. (No I’m not saying that chat noir is his true self. Im saying it’s the persona where he lets lose, enjoys himself and feels free, a direct contrast from how he is at home.)

That advice.

I’m not even mad at Plagg, I’m mad at the people who wrote and created this episode. You’re telling an impressionable CHILD that he needs to categorise another person he loves in the category where he can’t ever be himself in front of them.

Anyway, let’s move on to the Cat Walker part of the episode.

You know what pissed me off?

Ladybug not being able to function because this new dude was basically Adrien. It takes away ALL the development that might have happened with her friendship with Chat Noir in a way, and shows Ladybug as too distracted when in a situation where she needed to focus. I mean, throughout the show we have seen Mari using her brain to max potential no matter who is around. I mean half the time Adrien gives her ‘omg I love you’ looks is when she’s solving problems and being an ‘everyday ladybug’.

Here, that was completely negated.

At the end, while they were trying to show that she wanted Chat Noir back because he was ‘irreplaceable’, it seemed like she only got him back because Cat Walker was too perfect.

It was also said that both Adrien and Chat Noir make Adrien a person— that they’re both a part of him and he’s not complete without the other. And I 100% believe that.

But Adrien wasn’t acting the way he usually does. He was acting the way he does in front of his father and Nathalie, too composed and “too perfect”. Like, he is a child, let his character have, well, character.

I don’t know man, this episode just didn’t sit right with me. It gave way too many contradicting thoughts and seemed a little bit like a mess. It could be on purpose ig, but there was just… too much happening.

It has completely undermined the whole point and purpose of Chat Noir and just made him one of the members of “Ladybug’s Team”.

It's like they forgot that he is a main character.

As for Marinette… Well. They’ve fucked her character up beautifully.

Honestly, this was a disappointment.
