Reminder of this, but Magneto wasn't abusive to the twins AS their father. He was being abusive to them in a BOSS/EMPLOYEE dynamic.

Alec: You're giving me a sticker?
Magnus: Not just a sticker.
Magnus: That is a sticker of a kitty saying “me- wow!”
Alec: I'm not a preschooler.
Magnus: Fine, I'll take it back
Alec: I earned this, back off!

Currently trying to recall all my past and ongoing media hyper fixations (minus music as if I even attempt to list all the songs and artists that I have become obsessed with I will be driven even madder than I already am). As of now, the number has reached twenty-one, ten being dead and five being fleeting or 'I would if I coulds.' I say as of now because, as crazy as this sounds, I often completely forget something I have been/am feverishly consumed and obsessed by. All in all, considering my age, my forgetfulness and the fact that this list doesn't include music, animals, people, communities, ships, hobbies/activities, certain characters, celebrities, influencers, book ideas, clothes/styles and probably a lot more that I have neglected to remember, I think my obsessive brain has done pretty well for itself. Here is the (incomplete) list below:
Ongoing (Italics are under the ALWAYS & FOREVER subcategory) - Good Omens, The Magnus Archives, Sherlock BBC, Wings of Fire, Hamilton, Hazbin Hotel
Fleeting/I Would If I Could (Remembered with fondness and love) - House MD, What We Do In The Shadows, Jojo Rabbit, The Marvel Universe, Welcome to Demon School! Iruma-kun
Dead (But incredibly capable of revival in the form of new content/rewatching) - Ok Ko Let's Be Heroes, Our Flag Means Death, Helluva Boss, Demon Slayer KNY
Dead And Buried - Countryhumans (don't judge me, I was young), The Inheritance Cycle, Harry Potter, Crime Show, Spy X Family, Buddy Daddies
And there you have it. There's more, of course, just give me time to remember them... Perhaps one day I'll have created a full and extensive list of ALL my hyper fixations, not just my media ones, although I highly doubt it. For science, obviously. I think it would be interesting to see what my soul is capable of becoming emotionally attached to.

Englich:
My friend who ships Izzy and Magnus: Izzy and Magnus should have ended up together because as we know that on the back of the Lightwood necklace, there is a love phrase that Magnus has engraved and that now Isabelle wears it it would have been a nice parallel that the person wearing the necklace now is Magnus' true love
Me in my head creating a headcanon where Izzy gives Alec the necklace and he wears it every day or Magnus turns the necklace into a bracelet and Alec wears it all the time:
👑👑👑👑👑👑👑👑👑👑👑👑👑👑👑👑👑

So I’m not able to do any drawing at my tablet at the moment cause I can’t bend my knee (dislocated it and am in immense pain) so here have some old fanart! If I’m not mistaken this is meant to be Annabeth Chase from Percy Jackson though it could also be Piper Mclean from Hero of Olympus but I’m really not sure all I know is on the back it just read “Fanart: Riordenvers so idk.
Anyway I should be back to normal drawing soon enough plus spring break is coming up so I’ll have some free time! Thank the gods! I guess I could post sketch book drawing but it’s mostly gesture drawings a bunch of hands and song quotes so I’m not sure yet.
Any way that’s it for now! Bye!

Hey Taz Balance fans how do we feel about Lucretia striving to choose lives for her friends that she thought they could find joy and peace in (the beach with family for Merle, Raven's Roost for Magnus, a whole traveling cooking show for Taako) and checking up on them to see them safe and happy and using that as her only rock in her lonely and doomed mission to recover the relics, only to watch all three of their lives fall apart (Merle's lovless marriage + running out on his family, Governor Kalen destroying Raven's Roost and killing the love of Magnus's life and his father in law, the poisoning in Glamor Springs that led to Taako believing he'd killed 40 people and having to abandon his dream job). How de we feel about that gang.

Hello fans of Re: Dracula who were introduced to fiction podcasts through the updates from our good friend Jonathan Harker! Now that the story's over (sob!), would you like some recommendations for some other audio dramas that you might enjoy, made by some of the folks who worked on the podcast?
Jonathan Sims, who played our local phonograph enthusiast, is the writer of the hugely popular horror podcast, The Magnus Archives. The Head Archivist of the Magnus Institute records statements made by members of the public, detailing strange encounters with the supernatural. What soon becomes clear is that these statements do not describe separate and unrelated events, and a bigger and horrific picture begins to emerge. Also appearing as recurring characters in this series are both Sasha Sienna and Alasdair Stuart.
Karim Kronfli is a prolific voice actor, and while he might be best known for his roles in both Re: Dracula and The Magnus Archives, he has voiced a wide range of characters in many different fiction podcasts. Out of all the ones he's appeared in, I would personally recommend urban fantasy anthology series, Unseen. The unseen world exists alongside ours, but only a few humans can see it. It's a world where magic and magical creatures exists, and Karim's character tells his story in episode 7, titled We Ourselves.
Beth Eyre and Felix Trench played twins Antigone and Rudyard Funn in Wooden Overcoats, a British sitcom set on the tiny fictional island of Piffling, in the English Channel. The twins run a funeral parlor together, the only one on the island, until a newcomer arrives. Eric Chapman (played by Tom Crowley) sets up a much more successful funeral parlor, and the story is narrated by the Funns' house mouse, Madeline.
Alan Burgon plays the Interviewer in The Amelia Project. The Amelia Project is a secret organisation, and clients come to them looking for their help in faking their deaths. The Interviewer listens to each client's story, before concocting unique and often elaborate ways in which they will stage their deaths, before being reborn into a new identity.
David Ault is also a very recognisable voice to anyone who spends a considerate amount of time listening to fiction podcasts, and The Kingmaker Histories feels like an appropriate choice here. A weird steampunk series set in the Valorian Socialist Republic in 1911 , this story involves found family, its own intriguing magic system, and being gay and doing crime.
Our favourite cowboy, Giancarlo Herrera, plays one of the protagonists in sci-fi action/thriller, Primordial Deep. Spinner is part of a team which is sent deep beneath the sea to investigate the resurgence of creatures thought to be long-extinct. There's plenty of horror to be had here, as something ancient is stirring in the depths of the ocean.
As for the crew? Tal Minear works on so many podcasts, and if you like fantasy stories, I would recommend the delightfully lighthearted Sidequesting, which follows new adventurer Rion, as they help people on their travels. If you would like some more horror, there's their spoiler-driven anthology series, Someone Dies in This Elevator.
Hannah Wright's Inn Between is a fantasy series based on D&D. Each episode follows a party as they meet in the Goblin's Inn, in between adventures, as the tavern follows them around wherever they go.
Stephen Indrisano's upcoming docu-horror Shelterwood promises to be a series which explores the horror of suburbia, as it follows one man's quest to find his missing sister. Until this is released, I would recommend Do You Copy, in which Stephen plays one of the protagonists. This found footage horror series follows the events which unfold after the closure of Red Tail National Park, and the people who were left inside the park, after its mysterious closure.
Ella Watts is regarded as a walking encyclopedia of all things audio fiction, and has worked on several high-profile projects, including directing both Doctor Who: Redacted and Marvel Move. Her upcoming Camlann is a post-apocalyptic series due to be released next year, inspired by Arthurian legends and British folklore. She is also the executive producer of Tin Can Audio's (who are also producing Camlann) beautiful experimental series, The Tower. The protagonist of this story, Kiri, leaves her life behind to climb an impossibly high tower, making phonecalls along the way.
Newt Schottelkotte's Where The Stars Fell is a supernatural fantasy set in the town of Jerusalem, Oregon. Cryptozoologist Dr Edison Tucker arrives in the town to carry out some research, and meets her roommate, author Lucille Kensington. There's so much more to this strange town than first meets the eye, with a huge revelation at the end of season one.
If you're new to fiction podcasts, welcome! I hope this short (ish!) and very much non-comprehensive list gave you some ideas of what to listen to next!

Lightwood-Bane Family Headcanons
• Rafael uses Duolingo to reinforce his Spanish and has a streak of more than 500 days, every morning he sits at the kitchen table to review his notes and argues with his cell phone in Spanish, leaving Alec always confused.
• Max is a fan of everything that ir related to the water because when he was little he was convinced of being a water fairy, initially because of the faeries and later because he fell deeply in love with Silvernist (a character from the fairy world of Tinkerbell). In his adolescence he discovered Percy Jackson and the Olympians, so now he is a voracious reader of youth and fantasy literature.
• Alec isn't very good at showing physical affection or with his words, but that has never stopped him from making his family feel loved. Since they adopted Rafael he has studied Spanish disciplinedly and learned to cook Latin American and Indonesian food for Magnus and Rafe. In the evenings he spends time studying with Max his spells and listening to him talk about his special interests (now both of them are experts on whales).
• Magnus was terrified at the idea of being a father, specially a bad one, and he's still not sure if he's doing it right most of the time, so he signed up for mundane parenting courses that Catarina recommended to him and read dozens of books on child and adolescent development, parenting and healing your inner child in sicret, so as not to transmit his traumas to children.
• Chairman Meow now has a little brother named Mandarina, at the children's request, an orange cat who has come to test his patience. Even with that he wouldn't change his family.

Found Family Tournament Round 2 Part 7 Group 31
Propaganda and further images under the cut
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Archive Staff: Jonathan Sims, Sasha James, Tim Stoker, Martin Blackwood
Mighty Nein: Caleb Widogast, Nott the Brave/Veth Brennato, Fjord, Jester Lavorre, Caduceus Clay, Beauregard Lionett, Yasha Nydoorin, Mollymauk Tealeaf/Kingsley Tealeaf, Essek Thelyss
Archive Staff:
They’re trying their best to understand
Mighty Nein:
Originally, they were only seven, and the Nein part of their group name was a running joke about rolling nines and Caleb's German accent. Then, after Molly's untimely death, the group picked up Caduceus, making seven again. Later, they ally with Essek, who makes eight. And finally, through the power of love and found family, they defeat a villain named Lucien (who inhabits the body Molly had, it's all very complicated), and revive the body to become Kingsley Tealeaf, who looks at Molly as his brother but ultimately makes the group Nine. His revival is literally an act of divine intervention, fueled by the love and loss they all felt after chasing their beloved friend across the continent.
Internally there are other fantastic family bonds. Caleb and Nott/Veth having an incredible bond, Caleb and Beau being the Empire siblings, Molly and Yasha being the circus kids, Beau and Fjord, Cad and Fjord, the chaos crew, Nott and Jester, it goes on and on. They all change each other so significantly, they grow together, and canonically even though they live apart, they all have regular meetups in the tower Caleb created for all of them, with a stained glass window in Molly's honor and rooms dedicated to each member of the group. Even now in the new campaign, they've had cameos that prove years later they still work together and have each other's backs.
This is THEE definition of found family, these assholes were thrown together through circumstance and mostly hated each other to begin with right up until three of their own were kidnapped and then it was ON. And when Molly died, they took his ideals and turned them into a legacy SO POWERFUL they took Essek from a cold, self motivated war criminal to a man willing to die for his friends. They refused to let Beau face her abusive family alone! They helped Yasha heal from her trauma! They took down the whole Cerberus Assembly for what they did to Caleb! They saved the whole dang world together WITH THE POWER OF FUCKING FRIENDSHIP 😭! THEY LOVED MOLLY SO MUCH THAT IT SAVED THE WORLD! THEY NAMED THEMSELVES AFTER A STUPID PUN AND THEN THERE REALLY ENDED UP BEING NINE OF THEM! I WOULD DIE FOR THEM!!!

My (least) favorite thing about factions of the MCGA fandom is that people reverse Alex and Magnus’s personalities a lot for incorrect quotes, fan fiction tropes, or even personal head canons.
Magnus is the kinda gloomy one. He take a while to adapt to people. He has broken a radio because he got mad at Christmas music and punched through a wall on his first day in Valhalla*.
Alex is the happy go lucky one, who wears weird clothes and gets a tattoo to defy his mother and chooses to shapeshift because he likes it. Sure, she panicked upon first arriving in Valhalla and may have come off as a bit rude then, but this is the same kid who drank guava juice out of somebody else’s family heirloom.
Like, come on!
(*Note: these examples are from SoS which is a bit different from his personality in HoT and SotD which is more positive but still...)
