second year in college majoring in marketing. also a part time streamer so yeah he’s a little busy :) currently roomates with y/n, when he asked her to room with him he told her they’d split the rent evenly but she has no idea he’s actually paying *totally* just *a bit* more than half <3 he’s just happy she’s with him but he's also been working very hard not to get her caught in any stream. thinks that things might blow up a little bit if people suddenly find out he’s rooming with a girl–a slightly well known skater of all people–and he’s right for thinking so. some of his fans are already a little weird about shipping him with others but he ignores it when he can. definitely has had a thing for y/n since high school and always felt a little nervous whenever she came to watch his games but kuroo was the only one on the team who noticed. he’s grown a lot more comfortable around her since then <3 they’re also co-parents of a cat they’re definitely not supposed to have in their apartment.

third year studying a degree in sports management :) best friends with kenma and oikawa who he’s roomates with. they’re like the extremely less romantic version of whatever kenma and y/n have going on lmao 💀 a very small youtuber who often ends up posting videos that people request him for explaining how things in the sport world works and about science and then will turn around and post an 8 hour long minecraft playthrough video. also good friends with y/n but is mainly hearing everything from kenma’s side. he’s always kenma’s go-to person for advice whenever he’s confused about something and needs help <3

oikawa

third year also majoring in nutrition but he’s cruising :) did volleyball and skated in high school but decided to pursue figure skating once he graduated. has worked a few times with y/n and they're good friends. also considers himself a girl’s girl and y/n backs him up on this <3 she wishes they worked together more but she doesn’t see him often. oikawa’s been besties with kuroo since high school and as a result also got to know kenma quite well. he’s pretty observant and has picked up on what’s happening between him and y/n as well so if kuroo doesn’t know how to respond to kenma they sit together at their little kitchen table in their dorm at midnight debriefing the tension going on between the two over tea and biscuits or something idk

first year majoring in communications bc bro is not the sharpest tool in the shed </3 was immediately pulled into kenma’s group because literally all of his superiors adore him and kageyama got pulled into the group as well (they like him too <3) he’s the group’s ball of sunshine whenever hope seems lost as finals round the corner and makes everyone’s day when he smiles <3

first year in college also majoring in communications. volleyball’s taking up a lot of his time but hinata pulls him around to be a part of the group whenever he can. he was a little terrified of what oikawa would think at first but oikawa could care less at this point and his living his best skater life. kageyama’s still obsessed with vending machines as always and usually gets kidnapped by hinata because he always knows where to find him.

"Do you think Rice fishy is gonna be okay" A voice asked as Alkni slowly started to gain consciousness, the bright light peeking through her closed eyelids as the small girl just continued to lay there, unmoving

"Be quiet-" Another voice said as Alkni felt someone or something gently rub her head

The movement was so soft...

So gentle...

Something she had never felt before in her few years of living. All she knew was the harshness that they had shown her, and since that was all she had known, thats what she thought was normal, making her fearful of the unfamiliar action

"Do you even know how they ended up here. I doubt someone of their size could even break into the school, and even if they did, why?" The voice from before asked as someone gently picked up her small head, placing it on what Alkni assumed was a lap, something she would use to do for the stray animals outside whenever she was left out to "rot"

Slowly opening her red eyes, the little girl having to squint as her eyes slowly adjusted to the bright lights that were in the room, reminding her of the sun even though the lights were the normal brightness lights should be

There were two guys sitting near her, one with short, wavy, light gray hair, which seemed to be resting her head on his lap, and one with short teal hair that had a black stripe in it "I highly doubt that she snuck in. She's looks so young and like she hasn't been taken care of a day in her life" The light gray haired man said to the other

"Maybe we could get Sam to help, I'm pretty sure he's still here for a bit" The boy with sharp teeth responded, before looking down at Alkni again "Oh Azul- Shes awake-" He said quietly to who Alkni assumed was named Azul, making Azul quickly look down to her

"Hey little rice fish! I'm Floyd and that is Azul, whats your name" Floyd said to Alkni, making her flinch at his tone which was actually uncharacteristically kind for him, thinking he was mad at her

Attempting to push herself up, she felt a hand gently push her back down "Hey, you need to lay down, or else you'll only put more stress on yourself" Azul said as he moved her head from his lap to the couch while he got up. "We'll give you some time to adjust while we help Jade get you some tea, okay" Azul continued on

For some odd reason, Alkni somehow reminded Azul of the younger version of himself, making him feel some sort of level of obligation to protect her despite not even knowing her for a full hour

The dusty black haired child watched as Azul and Jade walked out of the room, closing the door gently as to not startle her. All three of them had a feeling she had gone through some type of abuse or neglect to end up how she ended, with small cuts, scrapes, and bruises littering her tiny body

Alkni gently sat upwards, looking around the room while seemed to be filled with bookshelves upon bookshelves, except for a large vault that was on the back wall. Thats when she realized that something felt off about her

She was warm for once

'When was the last time I felt this warm" She thought to herself as she stood up, her red eyes scanning every corner of the room, a habit she had picked up after being left alone on the streets for long periods of time before being picked back up again

Suddenly the sound of a door opening caused Alkni to panic as she quickly rushed to hide somewhere

Just to not be thrown out again

Tears filled her eyes as she covered her ears, sitting in a fetal position as if to protect herself from any possible harm or danger. The three Octavinelle students paused as they wondered why she seemed so fearful of them

Setting down the tray of tea, Jade slowly walked towards her, a gentle expression on his face as he bent down to her size "Hello, my name is Jade. May I know your name" Jade asked softly as he slowly extended his hand to her, in a attempt to show that he would do no harm to her

"I must let you know, we do not plan to do you any harm, and we only want to help you" Jade continued as Alkni peaked open one eye reluctantly, still very weary despite Jades comforting words. The teal haired boy gently opened his arms, inviting her into a hug in a attempt to try and gain her trust. Alkni looked around frantically, in hopes to find a exit from any possible harm

Alkni's breath hitched as she reluctantly scooted into Jades arms upon realizing that there was no other option but to go to him, flinching at the slightest movement he made out of habit.

To some students, it would be a surprise to as how good Jade was with children, yet when times called for it, he could be. And that time was now. As Alkni came into his arms, he gently patted her back, trying to make her as comfortable as possible in hopes that they could find out exactly what happened and why she had appeared here.

Sitting her on his lap, Azul placed the cup of tea in front of them on the coffee table, causing Jade to take a cup of the warm liquid and handing it to the 5 year old girl. Alkni looked up at him in confusion as she tilted her to the side slightly, wondering what he had given her was "Drink it" Azul told her as he picked up his own cup in a attempt to show her what to do

Azul watched the girl with a careful expression as she drank her cup of tea. There was something off about her, and yet that same thing also reminded him of his past self "So, we are going to ask you a few questions okay" Azul said as he smiled at her. The new students had already long since came, meaning the same thing that had happened with Yuu couldn't have happened with the girl... right?

The pale girl looked towards him for a moment before speaking "S...shiny more m...me's" That one simple sentence filled the three students with lots of confusion.

Shiny more me?

"Why don't we see if she can tell us better in the morning" Floyd said as he let out a yawn, crossing his arms behind his neck as he rested his head on them. "Maybe we can have her show us where she came from too. That might help us find out, plus if betta peacock finds out, he's gonna' be mad" Floyd added while Jade nodded in agreement

Azul nodded as he looked towards Alkni again, chuckling at the look of amazement on her face after drinking the tea 'That must be her favorite type' Azul thought with a warm smile before he spoke up again

"Are you hungry?"

Adding the smallest bit of info here💀idk why, but it’s like, I only talk about Suguru and I on this blog but in my head there’s a poly with satoru, because sure the relationship works good with me and sugu but it’s just so perfectly balanced with Satoru in too heh—but yes lmao

How does Suguru show his affection to me?

Ok so, he’s veryyyy indulgent to my sleep schedule, like never ever ever says no to cuddling, it could be 12 in the afternoon and he’ll come lie next to me for sure. Suguru also loves cooking, so often when I’m tired or come home from a long day (mind you he’s somewhat a househusband heh, when he doesn’t have his missions ofc) so he makes my favourite dishes+remembers my drink preferences by heart. Knows exactly what amount of sugar and stuff I like. Suguru is also very very patient with me and when I tell you he’ll sit there listening to me for hours, he will—it could be gossip, it could be work, it could be a new hyperfixation, and he’s just. Aksjsjsj yes. Plus, often he also helps me with my writings and all heh

As for pda, we aren’t “huge” on it, like people would obviously know that we’re together — he’s quieter about it, not exactly like denies it ofc but it’s typically me who’ll make it more obvious or speak it out? Ofc that doesn’t mean that Suguru isn’t a silly little pookie to me so he will offer me his lap despite the many chairs there be in a room. Forehead kisses too if he’s leaving the room without me—At a party we do our thing for a while with our friends but Sugu is secretly jealous so an hour or so into it, he’ll come around with a hand on my hips. And even in public, we don’t call each other with our names? Like a shorter version of it—at least near friends and stuff, for sure. Also Suguru holds my purses in public, it’s his way of showing that he’s mine hehe—and Suguru holds sort a possessive look in his face too lmao, but he’s very caring as well. Carries extra hoodies for me because he knows I’ll end up needing them, if it’s raining he’s the one who holds the umbrella and just in general, such a gentleman

And for affection just to each other, we’re very very touchy—not so much in public, we do our own things there but the moment we’re inside, there are constant hugs and kisses. If I had to put a word on it, our love language is words of affirmation, because we’re both sort of insecure in different ways? So it’s helps us both. He loves annotating his books, so we do it together, like he’ll read a book and his his thoughts and then I do the same and then we re-read them, sort of together. All in all Suguru is just so full of love and loves showing it out, not the hes into all that ‘she’s my girl’ kind of thing but his heart flutters if I say it out to someone

So I've been seeing that OC asks thing that's been floating around by @yvesdot and decided to take a crack at it with Miriam, so fair warning, this will be a long post.

1: Doesn't really sleep with stuffed animals but absolutely would if given one. Miriam is incredibly fond of soft fluffy objects so I imagine she'd love to have one.

2: She should be able to take care of one, she's half dryad after all. Which is ironic considering she's half vampire. Has been known to be very fond of cats and pigeons, still very miffed that pigeons are considered dirty. Also could take care of a child, though she'd be a strict mother.

3: Miriam doesn't have a currently have a love interest aside from a joke ship, however she was with Carmilla (different from gonzo my version is more based on the book that predates Dracula) and she'd probably say "She's beautiful with the way her eyes can appear to be the colour of soil to the brightest of rubies. She is a soul like no other, sweeter than the sweetest strawberry and yet can be more vicious than the sharpest thorn. I gladly fight in her stead, wetting my blade with blood in her name."

4: Yes, yes she does. The only reason I don't put her in red more often is because otherwise she can look a bit too much like Alucard. Thankfully she's not as allergic to colour as he is lmao

5: If the situation demands it or she gets frustrated enough, the genes to be dramatic has been passed down. She will mostly give ones meant to kick men into gear due her history as a general, or she'll make a speech about the uselessness of fighting for nothing, a hollow thing in her eyes.

6: Person she always takes advice no matter what? Hmm, does it count if it was a dead man? Alive it would probably be Irons whom she trusts despite being older than him, dead the man who mentored her. As for person she never takes advice from no matter what would probably be Arthur or the pope, my gal hates the church with a passion.

7: In three words? Morally grey, wrathful, determined. For her, she'd describe herself as Godless, unnatural, and a bastard.

8: She likes puzzles, they're entertaining to her, loves the ones that you have to put together to make different shapes. A fan of mysteries as well.

9: empathizes with books, specifically the burned ones because it reminds her of herself and how humans try to get rid of her as well.

10: Probably when she was 212 because she'd have been with Carmilla at the time, who made her feel like a person and not an abomination of God.

11: Save, this woman only really uses money for bribes or when she needs to legally buy something like property.

12: Enjoys romance because she can dream for a little bit that she's normal and doesn't have to be careful with whom she interacts with

13: From her mother? How to make tea from Garlic flowers; from her father? To learn to be more okay with feeding and learn how to use her more vampiric abilities more effectively and efficiently.

14: Yes, this woman's guilty pleasure is garlic, she is also allergic to garlic. Fortunately it's the flowers she really has to worry about, and the garlic just gives her mild food poisoning.

15: Probably social functions that are just there to flaunt wealth and nothing more. Also thinks hunting for the sport of it is also a waste of time (and wasteful in general).

16: Honestly? She'd probably indulge a little in a fine dress, because she does like pretty dresses, but mostly would wear pants and more soft fabrics yet pretty fabrics with a lot of beading.

17: Yes, she is fond of them

18: tongue, all the way, might even playfully nip or get a fang "accidentally" caught on a lip.

19: Will study before tests, will wing it with interviews.

20: hurdy-gurdy, loves it to bits.

21: honestly? Betraying her, or otherwise being dishonest over a long period of time. Might just straight up eat her partner if they're abusive.

22: loves pet names, will default to ones from other Ukrainian or Romanian, usually the latter. Most used would be iubițel or iubi. Has been known to give nicknames to specific people, like Integra she might call Ursuleț or little bear.

23: Novelty, though she thinks she wishes for Stability, what she actually wants is to not have to worry about fighting or bloodshed for at least a century.

24: Honesty

25: Possibility, this woman might have grown tired of bloodshed, but she's not opposed to taking beneficial opportunities when she sees them.

26: A mix of both, admires talent, but admires effort more, for effort will turn into talent with enough time.

27: Vengeance all the way, this woman killed a man's entire family one by one before killing because he killed her lover, and before that was a killer of those who killed werewolves when she found them, sometimes going so far to kill members of the church. Definitely has a blood price sort of mentality.

28: She is the fixer upper, or she'd make them worse, no in between

29: Has a tendency to dream of the church or to dream of finding Carmilla's dead body or her mentor and his pack dead.

30: Probably raise Carmilla back from the dead just for a night, but knows better than to subject her beloved to that.

probably the hardest part of finding a new interesting blog is trying to figure out wtf is going on with everything lmao

I acknowledge that mine in particular is very very hard to understand.

Let me try to explain. It’s mostly just Splatoon ships.

I mostly post about Acht x Agent 4. The headcanons for them are a little all over the place. Long story short Four was greyscaled, becoming Parallel Canon, and Acht is with them while they regain their memories. They then fall in love. If you’re interested in the long version, I’m currently posting chapters to my Dedfour fanfic every Saturday! They also have a son named Gibbous (he does not show up in the fanfic).

There’s also Acht x Agent 4 x Harmony, which is also all over the place. There’s no fic for that one, there may be in the future but I don’t have any plans for it right now. There are also various aus in which these characters are sanitized, greyscaled, or fuzzy.

The ones that are harder to understand are the oc x canon ones. First things first is that pretty much all of the ocs that I talk about are members of Four’s family, either aunts or cousins. (All of them involved in ships are aunts because the cousins are too young.)

First up is Shina x Marie. Shina is one of Four’s aunts who I think we established is also an assassin. That part doesn’t come up much though. The two have a daughter named Cassie, who has pretty much the same personality as Callie. She’s friends with Gibbous and her and Callie get into trouble together often.

Then there’s Shiver x Birch. For this one there’s a bit more lore. Shiver and Frye had been in a petty rivalry with Four and Acht, making it seem as though this was fueled by feeling threatened by Acht’s budding music career, fearing it would steal their spotlight. Eventually, it is revealed that Shiver is actually doing it out of jealousy, because she is in love with Four and is upset that they love Acht instead. When she can finally accept that Four doesn’t love her back, she starts to fall in love with Birch. Shiver becomes like a mom to Birch’s child, Kai, and often lets them ride on her shark, Master Mega.

Lastly we have Frye x Elle. This one is au specific. This applies to the musician au, in which Four was never in the Memverse, instead Parallel Canon is a clone of them. Four is a musician, who has a habit of making songs about how lonely they are and how much they want to fall in love with someone. When Acht comes around, the two hit it off immediately. Later on, Four learns that Parallel Canon exists and is their clone. The two grow close, becoming like siblings. Parallel Canon desperately wants to exist as an inkling in the physical world outside of the Memverse (we’ve got a bit of a trans allegory going there, it’s super confusing, I’ll explain it if you want but it’s a lot to type out and this post is already long). So Four and Marina make them a robot body. They can’t go by Parallel Canon anymore to they change their name to Elle. They eventually meet Frye and the two fall in love.

I think that’s mostly what you’ll need to know to understand what’s going on? There are also a ton of aus that I didn’t cover, but this is what comes up most often.

umineko ep 1 impressions

i liek never rlly successfully text post on here. but since i keep fan art and vgm on here i thought i might as well track my progress on this million word 100 hour visual novel JOURNEY to look back on later. obv spoilers for the first episode and its tea party and ??? segment.

for the most part, what drew me into umineko was atmosphere and that amazing ost and ive watched little out of context vids on the game just to get a taste cuz im just rlly into it. im so glad i chose Umineko Project over 07th mod for my first pt since just small things like the rain effects and the lip synching add so so much. the Experience of Umineko just has really nice levels to it. Ive listened to goldenslaughterer like a million times just from that one erika furudo clip and it didnt lose a bit of its power when i heard it for the first time in the scene at the garden shed and it made that whole scene just so exciting after literal hours of shifting from light playful scenes with the cousins and tense scenes with the ushiromiya siblings, building upon both heavily only for both sides of the family to just come crashing down in one morning.

speaking of the cousins i feel like theyre by far the most fun characters to hang out with outside of maybe eva and natsuhi reading the fuck out of each other. i have a long history of immediately gravitating to my cousins during family get togethers and its really nice to see they more or less keep their camaraderie through the events of the first episode except for maria but like. lmao. also seeing the cousin's varied reactions to their parents deaths hits kinda close as someone who has a really strained relationship with theirs. how grief manifests differently for each of them based on the trauma and issues they have with their parents is so interesting to see and i feel like a lot of games dont really explore this besides the kids feeling generally sad abt it, and im super excited to see the inner workings of this family laid bare.

that also includes the parents as siblings too cuz even tho theyre all kinda fuckheads in their own way, theres some real truth to how their upbringing kinda ruined all their relationships and potentially their outlooks on life. and even tho krauss is the most outwardly fucked up most of the time, rosa is Super sinister to me just being a character whos at the lower end of a power dynamic but still having responsibilities as a mother. of course we know how she mistreats maria and it would be nice to see rosa like admit that her issues with maria are somewhat her fault, but it would also be nice to see rosa begin the path of redemption and like ive seen clips of her with the rifle in one of the episodes so im sure itll be somewhere hopefully. at the very least i like the inlaws a lot too, hideyoshis nice, kyrie is super cool and the irony of her "flip the chessboard" outlook not being used before krauss could turn the tables on his other siblings earlier, because rudolf wouldnt let her talk, is not lost on me, and i was unsure abt natsuhi at first and she def still has issues but she really grew on me by the end after she had sorta made up with jessica, especially the scene where she accepted the charm from her daughter. again i gravitated toward jessica from the start and her experience feels like the richie rich version of how i was in high school, and her and her mother have a lot to sort out with each other, but the gesture and the fact that they both at least tried starting to make things better was just. so sweet. as for other characters, i rlly like kanon and shannon, the other servants besides like the chef guy are cool and kinzos funny as hell (love that in the UP translation he calls jessica fucking ILLITERATE for being a c student. like damn girl me too). again i cant wait to see how everything pans eventually pans out.

this is just a tentative ranking for the characters ive seen so far. i maybe coulda put george one rank lower idk, even tho ive seen hate for him, i just kinda like him. hes good with kids and the scenes where he lost his loved ones were touching. and like yea his relationship with shannon from a power dynamics perspective isnt great but i feel like it was kinda fraught to being with anyways.

for the plot i admittedly dont have a ton of ideas so far. ive never been one to make crazy predictions on stories as i was experiencing them. and im trying to here which is why im writing everything out. but, with my previous exposure to the game being crazy out of context clips, it makes the main conflict of the first episode being the issue of an 19th person and the reality of magic kinda weird considering. all the shit ive seen. with witches. and is anticipating crazy shit. i rlly didnt know what to think until the tea party and the ??? segment which did elucidate things. guessing that going forward, instead of having to reckon with the presence of magic, battler is gonna keep his strong stance against the "magical/fantastical/etc" and that he and beatrice will be diametrically opposed, considering i also know how they end up in debates later on and stuff like that. bernkastel in the ??? segment also explains how beatrice is more of a metaphor of an abstract concept rather than a person which also makes things kinda simpler in my head. and i know about the metanarrative aspects too (clocking all the detective literature references) so im prob gonna hold off until i see a bit more of it to make any crazy predictions. i mostly just wanna see new perspectives on some of the weirder happenings like the tool shed murders and the chain locked room, why natsuhi shot herself, how the key to the gold was even located so that the first six could be chosen and everything else. super excited to jump back in with episode 2, even tho the previous episode felt like it took eons to get thru, and i cant wait to see how everything changed over the course of this game.

it's a little surreal to believe that 2023 is coming to an end. a year that admittedly, was more emotionally and physically hectic for me. but i pushed through, and here i am going into 2024 as hopefully a better me.

to be honest, this year has been nothing but self reflection, realization and a lot of acceptance as well as embracing parts of myself that i thought i'd never return to. hobbies of mine like writing and drawing were ones i strayed away from for so, so long in 2023. but it more or so lead back into the tribulations i was facing then and still recovering from now.

it's a little surreal to me that months after months of doing nothing but reflection and getting back into what i love doing most just months before the year ended resulted into the me who decided to step into tumblr again and share my kuni ideas for the fun of it. that halloween fic i posted? just for shits and giggles at the time. but the fun i had writing it was a fun i wasn't able to feel throughout the entirety of 2023, and i admit the motivation boost i got from posting the fic afterwards, alongside checking in on the authors i used to follow just made something inside me click. and i went for it.

a bit more off topic but i still remember how i came back to genshin after a good five months or so in version 3.6 and doing the main event without knowledge of the sumeru quest line because i was avoiding spoilers. that day, i just finished taking an entrance exam for college and was exhausted from both the exam and from wearing myself out. midway into the introduction of the contestants; i was greeted with wanderer, or kuni in my vocabulary, being in the event and i was just smiling from ear to ear at the mere sight of him. feeling that same overflow of good emotions just take me whole to be honest, i was simply beyond happy. the way he spoke about writing about inazuma's societal issues because he was bored genuinely had me laughing for the first time that day.

i guess it's that simple little moment that hit me hard. it's silly, i'm aware, but it meant everything to me in a way. since that day in june; i was determined and full of creative drive to hopefully share at least one thing before the end of this year. look at me now, i have a series published that's yet to be finished so i can start on the next one in spring ( hopefully ), a one-shot to share for a moot and lastly... just a lot. i have a lot in store.

i have no right to say such things regarding my immense gratitude for the support i received from the few things i published, but the support i ended up getting on said few things — big and small — has made me realize that maybe i still feel very passionate about writing. that maybe i want to pursue the desire to publish all i have for that one fictional character that had my heart swoon the moment i saw him in a promotional trailer three years ago.

the ending note to 2023, starting october 31st when i published my first fic was a day that i'll always hold dear to me, my mutuals as well as the wonderful authors i follow made these past three months an absolute joy, and i cannot wait to make the most of my journey supporting each one of them ~

honestly i'm just rambling. but i am a professional yapper and to be honest i am writing all this on one cup of tea and like, six something hours of sleep i am absolutely not in the right headspace lmao. regardless! i am so so very glad to be here, to have survived an emotionally draining bitch of a year that was still an eventful year regardless to me, and starting the second of january... i shall be the bane of the scaranation's existence <3

we don't talk about how being that is actually a goal of mine because i think it'd be funny but i digress... 2024 will hopefully be just as much of an eventful year for me, for you, and everyone too. i believe that this year will be at least a little kinder to those who got absolutely shat on by 2023 ( pleek no more physical torment for me ) and if you're reading this, remember that this random stranger on the internet who's attempting to spread the kuni agenda is cheering you on for the year <3

i have a lot of stuff to share going forward. december was initially gonna be the month for all that but i had stuff going on that i ended prioritizing ( mainly my health ) so those initial plans will now move to the first month of a new year. mundanities with kabukimono will be finished in january, january 2nd will be interlocked eternities and lastly a late winter special that's actually a birthday gift for a mutual of mine ( mochi i am coming for you /menacingly )

my stickers from @pannypunkpanda came in not long ago, and I finally got around to taking some cute photos today while I was stuck in my room feeling blah. apologies beforehand for camera quality, I haven’t been able to update my phone in a while 😅

(a note on the stickers, too: I cut excess backing off bc I have a tendency to use blue tack to stick them onto mirrors, shelves, my headboard, etc. - any messy edges are on me and my unsteady hands, they didn’t come like that!! they all came two to a solid and neatly cut cardstock strip in the mail 🫡)

once I had the cardstock cut down a bit, I couldn’t help arrange them onto pages of my tfatws art book for photos ✨

I couldn’t help but put them on my favorite page of concept art 🥰 punk!Zeems is one of my absolute favorites of Panny’s designs bc there’s so many cool little details; I got two of him bc I wanted one for my notebook and a spare for my closet door

heart!Zeems got a couple different photos bc I couldn’t decide which one I liked him on more, and the wreath design always reminds me of a fancy crest

they didn’t have any photos of Zeems in his bathrobe, so unfortunately our boy on the raft is the closest I can get for comparison lmao. they all look so chill and relaxed together!

I tried to take some photos with my chibi Zemo doll, but the lighting, my old-ass camera, and I weren’t really getting along, so this was the only usable one I suspect bc there was just too much cuteness to fit in one photo

OM Characters Drinks From The New Cafe I Work At!

I work at another cafe, this isnt local, it is a chain, it is a Canadian chain, but its not Tim Hortons. 1000000 points to whoever knows what it is leggo (no seasonal drinks...that I’m aware of?) Lucifer: Just dark roast drip, black. When he’s feeling fancy he gets a triple shot flat white, sometimes with a shot of sugar free hazelnut flavouring. Mammon: Based on colour? Italian soda with citrus flavouring. On taste? This boy is a basic bitch, but he can’t handle caffeine, so its a decaf iced vanilla bean latte with oat milk, yknow to maintain his model physique. Levi: Elderflower lemonade! It both fits his colour scheme and I imagine he likes citrus quite a bit! Satan: Matcha tea latte. Helps with his focus aksdkagdja Asmodeus: Strawberry Italian soda - both in taste and and appearance lmao, it is his guilty pleasure, though a honey vanilla tea latte with oat milk is his next favourite, then the vanilla bean latte....and the list goes on and onnnnn Beelzebub: mmmm I gotta say I struggled, but I wanna say Green Mango Boost smoothie bc we add protein to it lmao Belphie: Just for shits and giggles, this man is lactose intolerant. He gets a lactose free mocha- just as cozy as it is an awakening. Diavolo: Is it any surprise the the drink I invented for myself is gonna be the one I assign to him? It shouldn’t be lmaoooo. I love him and I love the drink, it was inspired by Raspberry Cordial (if you know what that is I’m kissing your head), the way I make it is a total of four pumps of raspberry flavouring, two of the citrus flavouring in a large cup. its an Italian Soda, which means it doesn’t mess with caffeine/ADHD, and this is less sweet version lmao, large Italian sodas are supposed to have a total of 12 pumps of whatever syrup, I don’t recommend getting that many aslkhdlask Barbatos: Just matcha tea with a little splash of soy milk. If he needs more caffeine, TRUST me, you will see it, maybe because he takes it like a shot. He steeps green tea in a double shot of espresso kashdkhsa Mephistopheles: Stumped. I’m giving him frozen hot chocolate. Simeon: He has either green tea to focus, with honey and a little oat milk, or he has a decaf caramel latte with oat or skim milk. Raphael: ....I don’t think he has experimented with much before, so he just...he gets white hot chocolate and very very hesitantly agrees to have a flavour added to it so long as its unsweetened. Also...he gets it with coconut milk? Luke: Loves most of the Italian sodas! He loves the flexibility of being able to choose a new flavour every time. Thirteen: Wifey is a chaos entity but her drink is a white hot chocolate with two pumps of strawberry flavouring because it tastes like drinking chocolate covered strawberries. Solomon: Only a monster would drink chocolate chip cookie dough Italian soda, so he is the one to drink it.

hey! 😼 please don't worry about responding late. please take all the time you need to rest. answering asks can wait!! 💗 and thank you for your elaborate response, you brought up great details that really made me rethink how everything will influence the general plot of the story. i don't even have much to add, and for the sake of brevity i will only address some things. hope you don't mind!

as for our dear kousuke, i've been thinking for a bit… and i feel like even if the media doesn't get involved and everything is kind of glossed over, he's already obviously headed towards a major identity crisis. this incident, the entire night actually, is something he simply cannot align with his version of reality. no wonder kousuke.exe stopped working lmao. how can he NOT have a crisis when he just lost control and acted in a way that, according to his self-perception, is completely out of character for him? because YES, this violence and aggression is something he typically ascribes to nol, never himself. in 213, hansuke asks him "do you know who you are?" (great question my dude) and kou doesn't answer. after what just went down, after facing such a dark side of himself, after beginning to question the past incident, which metaphorically made the ground crack under his feet, can he answer that question?

and i do believe that him questioning himself and his perception of reality (including past and present) is a major step towards defying yui. the crux is, as long as he seeks refuge in this warped reality yui constructed for him, it'll be easy for her to manipulate him, and he can continue excusing her atrocities. so he needs to actually commit to seeking the truth. and this is the hardest and scariest part - how do you even begin to deal with the fact that most of what you believe isn't true? that your MOTHER did this to you? where do you seek safety when you no longer have her? where do you seek safety /from/ her? it's not easy to escape yui's claws. who knows what she's capable of once she's realizes she's about to lose her most valuable pawn. but for kousuke to break free he NEEDS to oppose yui eventually. AGH.

same, i'm nervous about yujing's article too. what the article will reveal exactly… no idea. you brought up some great theories, and i think we have some puzzle pieces (like nol's bad eyesight, yui&kou's physical resemblance, yui's burned/scratched hands, tea?, yujing's friend that got sa'd?, rand's involvement in all this?), but we'll just have to wait and see how they all fit together. nessa's part is what i'm particularly curious about. that's when she disappeared, right? or is that unrelated?

on a more light-hearted side note, thank you for sharing your thoughts on 219 ^___^ i appreciate so much that you highlight little details that usually escape me. because WOW i now totally see that shinae didn't want to sleep because she fears that nol will disappear. he's slipped through her fingers so many times (and even almost died), the possibility to lose him again must terrify her. like, she could very well take a (well-deserved) nap on another empty bed… but no, there she is, holding onto his bed, fighting off sleep, keeping watch. not sure if she's even aware of it, but there is so much tenderness and… yearning or devotion, almost? in her actions. in both their actions, actually, in their attempts to slow down time. and it's ARGGHHH listen i don't even care about romance that much (though i genuinely enjoy their overall dynamic) but these two are killing me with the unspoken yet obvious feelings and the cautious flirting and the butterflies. and i love it.

But anyway, yeah, yeah, I think as we get deeper into this, more people are going to come to that realization, that Kousuke has been dealing with something that is SO difficult for him to come out of. Domestic abuse is a living nightmare - especially when there are people who don't see it, but even also when you are afraid to see it. And it's all been orchestrated so well TO make it difficult for him to see it, even if catches a glimpse. Isn't it easy to say "Well we aren't like other families" because that's what she told him and isn't it true? Isn't it easy to fall back on that loyalty, because she's his mother and she couldn't possibly want anything but the best for him? Isn't it terrifying to leave her refuge and feel like there is nowhere else you can go, because you can't trust anyone else, because you've come to believe that everyone must be out to get you that you can never let down your guard, never show any weakness, never let them find a weak spot?

Something really sad about Kousuke is that while I know he knows what kind of woman he is and he knows she's endangered people and plays games with them, that she's like a sadistic cat and all the world are the mice she torments, she's still his mother. And on some level he needs to believe that he isn't one of those mice. Family is complicated, he's been told, their family doesn't act like others. Don't question us just because we aren't what like the other families are like. In a way, he's been lead to doubt even what he observes. Just because they aren't like others doesn't mean it's not wrong... right?

He lacks that coddling and nurturing but in some sad, cold way, Yui still represents safety to him - because she's all he really has. Ugh.

I'm also DYING to know about Nessa. It FEELS like they're related, but I'm not sure. I feel like we need to revisit a timeline of events again. I'm guessing when they were formally introduced, that is when whatever happened to Nessa had happened? So about six years ago. Although, because, according to Kousuke, Nol was emotionally unstable, could it have happened before, and something happened that just pushed him to the brink?

(Also, Kousuke says that Nol meant no harm but was troubled and I REALLY want to know what he means by THAT - especially because Kousuke so intensely believes Nol is violent, and when he was taken away, Nol was asking what he did, saying he didn't even touch him. So?????? So many questions!)

But yeah, at any rate, by the time he got out of there, he didn't have anywhere else to go, so my guess is somewhere in that range - perhaps before he was sent away, but it just really feels like they are closely related, or part of a domino effect - one thing leading to another. It was probably a lot easier to have Nol institutionalized if his legal guardian wasn't around (although I get the feeling with Yui's hands in everything, it wouldn't be too difficult to swing a ruling that Nol was deemed too dangerous and needed to be sent away).

Also, interestingly enough, when Kousuke visits Nol WAY earlier in the series to tell him Shinae (Maya lol) invited them out, he asks "How long has it been since you got out? Four years? Maybe five?" Which doesn't quite align with what he told Shinae. I'm guessing at the time he went over it had been five years, and that Nol had gotten out somewhere in that September to December span, so by the time Shinae asked him, it had officially been 6 years? But. Still. I wonder if that was an oversight early in the story or if yeah, 6 years now as of December?

But back to the main point, I wonder just how much Yujing's article will tell us. I go back and forth on whether or not I think we'll get any insight into Nessa, but I tend to lean into the feeling that whenever we get insight, maybe it will come from Nol? Maybe. But only in the narrative sense of Nol learning to forgive himself/reaching a point where he allows himself to think of her memory and becomes more comfortable talking about her?

It's easy to assume Yui had something to do with what happened to her - and I do not throw out that theory, because Yui sure knows how to get rid of things. But it's just the way that Kousuke admits he has no idea what happened to her and then later says she left Nol that just give me pause. WHAT happened to her?! Of course, especially if it involves Yui, there's a good likelihood that a. he has lied to himself because it's something he can't face or b. he really has no idea because of her skills in manipulation? (And in that case, saying she left him was just a low blow that he threw at Nol?)

Also waaaahhhh thank you for saying that! That's how I feel about every week when the episodes drop actually lol. I am a very emotionally responsive person and it always takes me a couple reads before I start catching certain details (especially if it's a reference to something omg) or just little things I missed (like Shinae's birthdate on the morphine bag!) and the community aspect of discussions pulls through to help me see what I've missed! But because I'm such an emotionally responsive reader, I LATCH ON to little details like choosing to stay awake out of this fear that he'll slip through her finger again, that this moment will pass and the nightmare will resume. Also I'm just a sucker for that kind of tenderness lmao

Your word choice about yearning and devotion really got to me, too, because it just suits that sort of... this sounds cheesy by that almost religious imagery of devotionals because that's kind of what it is? Without them realizing it. Not that I think it's anywhere near this deep but just - something about mutual romance that's compared to this mutual worship, you know? It's something I'm a SUCKER for. And not that Nol is dying, but it has that feeling of keeping vigil, watching over him (and I guess in a way they all HAVE been keeping vigil, since he was unconscious until recently). But also, it just harkens back to all that death and rebirth imagery. Nol off to jail has that feeling of death and rebirth - who will he be when he returns?

But yes I agree with you! I think if ILY got to the end without things ever having gone a romantic route I'd feel just as fulfilled, but I am a SUCKER for tenderness and yearning and they may not be pining right now but if that comes to us I will never stop barking at the moon because THAT IS MY JAM! But yeah! I think it's just a testament to how well done their development has been, that even if you're not romantically inclined it's like... you can't help but be drawn to these little moments, right? ESPECIALLY because we've been watching these two characters in particular go through hell. ESPECIALLY because we've watched Shinae learn to rely on others because of him, and we're getting to see a glimpse of him doing the same. ESPECIALLY because we want them to have little moments of softness.

That's why I can't help but find myself drawn to them as a romantic ship lol. It's not that I need it to happen - it's that they get to me in all the ways that make me feel feral and I can't help but pay attention to them lmaoooooo. Maybe that's how it is for a lot of other readers who ship them? That a lot of just got drawn in because they have such an interesting dynamic and there's something about seeing that tenderness happening between them that just pulls on your heartstrings.

I WANT TO SEE THEM HAPPY AND WARM. I WANT TO SEE THEM AT PEACE. And if warmth and peace comes from each other, then even better lmao

Sneaker x Greenie: Probably the most popular one, or at least the one I saw most fan arts of. They’re pretty much the cunning trickster and the happy-go-lucky goofball. I get why people like their dynamic so much because I headcanon these two as best friends lmao, but as a couple I’m just "ok"

Slammer x Hider: Brawn and brain, pretty much. I mean, why not? Plus I like the complimentary physical differences, Slammer is your typical muscular bully looking guy, and Hider is the as thin as a matchstick guy. So why not?

I know I know.. this is heartbreaking and angsty, but I LOVE angst. soo... hcs on you hinting you need a break from the relationship w any of the boys?

OOF i dunno if i can do this i’m gonna be honest. i’m not the person for true, uninterrupted angst. i can do it but it makes me viscerally upset lmao so how about a slightly happier version of this…. hc’s on when you have a fight with them

with josh, the first big fight, i think, would be over jake flirting with you and you not really shutting it down. he won’t come out and say it at first, he just starts texting you one word answers until finally he realizes he’s an adult and has to talk about it. i think he would be really vocal and really careful that he doesn’t yell at you, pausing when he feels himself getting flustered and putting his hand over your hand—even though he’s so jealous he can hardly stand to be in the sam room as you he needs to touch you to remind himself you’re his. i think he cries when he gets mad, but i think that once he listens to you and you assure him you didn’t mean to hurt him, he softens like melted ice cream. “don’t wanna fight,” “i love you too much to be mad at you like this” “please don’t go” he just wants to hold you and to be held, and while it may not be all better, falling asleep next to each other sure helps.

i think jacob gets really quiet when he’s angry because if he’s not, he’ll snap a bit. i think the first time you fight it’s because he wants you on tour with him, but you have other obligations, and he doesn’t understand why you won’t just let him pay for everything so you can travel with him. he thinks you don’t want to be with him bad enough, you’re insulted he thinks you can just uproot your whole life on a whim. the argument goes on for days and days and he barely speaks to you, though he softens every time he sees you cry. Finally he reaches a breaking point, and he wraps you in the tightest hug he can, and he buries his words into your hair, “i don’t care if you come on tour or not, i can’t do this with you—the arguing. i need you, honey. i can’t have you sad, and i can’t stay away from you while we’re hurting.” and it’s hard to work out, still, and you end up going on only about half the tour, but after you argue he buys you a nice dinner and you drink wine in the tub together, and he kissed your face over and over.

i think fighting with sam would be because he doesn’t take your emotions as seriously as you’d hope sometimes; he doesn’t always realize when you’re about to cry, or you’re so frustrated you could break something. finally, after a lot of missed cues and you feeling a little neglected, he starts seeing the signs. and then, he’s always “you okay? you seem sad” “can i get you something, doll? tea?” and he gets frustrated with himself because he doesn’t always know how to help, and sometimes that leads to more arguing, but he tries. when you’re anxious he’ll hold your face and press gentle kisses to it to ground you.

danny and you fight when you’re drunk and neither of you are really angry about anything in particular, but something rubbed you the wrong way twenty minutes ago and now you’re crying for an unknown reason, and he’s irritated that you’re crying for said unknown reason, and none of it makes any sense. you go around in circles for a while before he finally just crashes his lips to yours and even though you fight it for a second, you can’t help but melt into it. then he hugs you for so long; he always hugs you when you’re sad, and his strong arms always make you feel like you can settle down for a moment. he apologizes with kisses to your cheek and your neck, and you forgive him so fast you barely remember the fight in the morning.

firstly...... HELL YES join the bucktalia train with me, the finale really made me love them a lot, and i hope we will see much more of them in s7! i have more thoughts on them specifically but i'll stick to the og numbering so it's easier to follow 😂 (this feels lowkey like school, i am so sorry LMAO)

1.) i totally get that the donor storyline squicked you! i was very worried about buck not being able to move on from the baby, with him buying that firefighter-like baby onesie and all... but WOW his maturity? that he helped them simply "because he could"? buck is just such a good person, i think we were shown again just how much he is willing to do to help others and how his help is unconditional as well 😭😭 it melted my whole heart. the callback to buck's wish to be loved by his parents unconditionally... how he called himself "defective" but called his own son "perfect"... just. wow. WOW. the fact alone that he helped during the birth of his own biological child, and he was so confident while doing so!! a masterpiece. i need fics with delivery nurse AU for buck ♥♥♥

2.) jjjjjjooooooooin the bucktalia train 😂😂 no jk no pressure ofc! but but but, i just really like natalia, and how they did things with the little time they had left this season! the couch stood for buck's agency and his peace with himself – he knows who he is, he knows he cannot force anyone to stay in his life if they do not fully accept him or fit his own values (abby, taylor), he knows that his partner must understand and accept his type of lifestyle and the risks related to it (ali), he knows that he won't be happy by living somebody else's version of a good life (i.e., having somebody else's couch instead of his own, which goes for abby, ali, and taylor). and just!!!! buck slowly learning that he is lovable the way he is and that he would rather be alone than settle for somebody who does not love all of him!!!!! it's so important to me. and i do not understand why everyone is saying he regressed! 😭😭 where?!? with every relationship and new experience, buck is learning a lil bit more about himself and his worth imo. it does not have to be linear, and sometimes it's babysteps instead of big jumps, but that's how development works. real humans do not just snap with their fingers and unlearn all their maladaptive behaviors and coping mechanisms either. give buck time ffs @ the fandom!!

2.1.) i am drinking the hot tea that you just served me, bestie. sip sip sip, you are so correct about everything re the buddie agenda and hivemind!! it's crazy to me because i genuinely feel like they almost gaslight themselves and everybody else with what they do?!?! even scenes that are unrelated to buddie are *used* for buddie purposes (e.g. the scene with chim and his dad, about biological fathers), and it's so damn frustrating to me because the facts get twisted and twisted and twisted 😭 like NO!! these scenes weren't even about buddie!!! or worse, they twist everything around to make canon love interests look like the devil when they are often more innocent than buck and eddie themselves (let's not act as if these two are unfailing gentlemen who always treat their women right, c'mon now). and then the fandom gets excited because they come up with some new elaborate theory again, and then they genuinely expect buddie to become canon every single episode. and are disappointed and angry when they aren't. buddie has much bigger problems than that when in 6 veeery long seasons, there was not a single hint dropped that buck or eddie are attracted to men even thought they had plenty of opportunity to do so fjsdfkdshk;; the fun time with headcanons and theories has ended like 3 seasons ago because of the buddie fandom taking over everything... just, ugh.

YES AAAAAA god i can't, i am full of emotions for bucktalia. and yes, she did help deliver the baby in the sense that she got utensils for buck to deliver it, and she also dabbed kameron's forehead with a wet towel etc!! 😭♥ especially the fact that natalia is a death doula has me sooo intrigued. people who work in such a field just have a completely different relation to death, and with grief, and with life (she called herself an "end-of-life doula", which i need everybody to know and think about – how she emphasized the life, not the death)!!! buck's job, his past death, his coma experience, daniel?!? he experienced death himself, he experienced those of others that he tried to save... i just think, in athena's words, maybe natalia is finally the "specific kind of crazy" that can fully accept what buck's lifestyle truly means. because natalia herself has been there to help those that are at the end of their lives – and so has buck. idk idk idk, their professions are different but also so alike! 😭😭

related to that, i LOVED that she wanted to talk to buck about his death experience! there, i said it, and i hate the fandom for twisting it into smth ugly. BUCK was the one joking about his own death, and natalia responded accordingly. it's literally her profession to deal with death, and to accompany people who will die soon on this last journey of their lives. humans have always been interested to know how death feels like, what comes after death... i find her passion 1000% understandable, and tbh? to think that maybe she was looking for an answer about all this, from somebody who was dead before but came back, so that she could be better at helping others?!?!?! i respect and love that idea. what do you think? ♥♥

5.) indeed!! "fandom illiteracy" is my new favorite word, it's so fitting, yes yes yes. and it's ALWAYS just when it's about buddie or a canon love interest that ""threatens"" buddie canonization (as if THAT is what threatens it lol. not the fact that we have yet to see either of them find men attractive?). also omg i originally called eddie an unreliable narrator in my ask but deleted that again bc i didn't wanna come off as too harsh 😂😂😂 and i must add, eddie did not even meet ana at a call! 😂 they met at christopher's school, and he had immediate chemistry with her, so much so that carla immediately side-eyed him for giving her hearteyes. what's that about *magic* and *chemistry* that eddie talked about again?? they reconnected thanks to a call, yes, but it was eddie's choice to ask for a date, and it was eddie who was burdened by past trauma that he had repressed for years, and it was eddie who was not ready for anything serious. ana said "it's your mess now" after he broke up with her in the most ineloquent way possible, after showing that ana was cleaning up his mess in the kitchen. i did not care much about eddieana overall but like... people put all the blame on ana, even for her calling eddie "edmundo", as if eddie is not an adult who can speak and advocate for himself. like, he is just A GUY. maybe the real issue was all his baggage that he hasn't dealt with yet, and not whether or not he met ana on a call. realistically, eddieana was doomed from the start no matter where they met because eddie was simply not ready for anything serious, emotionally and mentally. he would have also not been ready if it was buck, or marisol, or anyone else. that is OKAY. but i NEED the fandom to stop taking everything these characters say as gospel truth, as you fittingly called it. they are fictional, they are tools to tell a story, they are tools to create drama and evoke emotions! and for this, they often talk bullshit to learn a lesson later on. and well, we saw eddie dealing with his trauma finally, and moving forward at his own pace, and being happy to get a date with marisol!

6.) i agree with you on everything here YES. finale gave such great whump, i loved the action and the hurt and the dirty bloody looks and all!! hen wiping away buck's blood????????????? SCREAMING CRYING THROWING UP. i also agree that a bit more time for the recovery part would have been nice. then again, they also did not give us much of that when buck's leg was crushed or eddie was shot. the show often skips parts that would be very satisfactory imo lol. but i love good whump and hurt/comfort so maybe that's just me LOL.

Hello hello and Happy WBW! I see you write about time travelers 👀 Tellus a little bit about how time traveling works AND about those "people who keep the timeline in check"? Who are they? How did they get put in charge of doing just that? -@athenswrites

The answers to these two questions are actually closely connected and asked in the perfect order! Haha

(Also holy shit this answer got away from me and is crazy long I'm very sorry everyone, I AM however trained as a historian so that's my excuse lmao)

So because this is sci-fi fantasy I don't actually delve too deeply into the scientific aspects of time traveling (sorry everyone! not my cup of tea!). But, essentially, there are people who are born "important" and whose existence or death (or both) directly affect history and the timeline in the way it is "supposed" to be. And then there are people who are born "unimportant" whose lives (or deaths) are completely inconsequential to time continuing as it's meant to. These unimportant people have the ability to time travel.

Unimportants (as they're called, to the absolute GRIEF of autocorrect) and their choices cannot affect history, if they were to live their life as normal. But they actually CAN affect history, quite drastically, by abusing their time travel.

In the past, LOADS of people could time travel but as the world has become more globally connected, less and less people are being born with the ability because the chances that SOMETHING in your life, whether it be an action or inaction or word or purchase or etc, has an affect globally, gets exponentially higher. As opposed to like, yknow, an ancient Roman peasant who doesn't leave their 3x3 mile community. And because past time travelers tended to be both 1. illiterate and 2. xenophobic, they often didn't use their time travel much or use it to much detriment. This changed around the start of the 18th century, when literacy and globalization was on the rise. Shit started hitting the fan, because it was a perfect storm with still plenty of people who could time travel, but they were usually also literate to some degree and much more adventurous and independent from their home communities, thus... havoc. The timeline was constantly being changed and bouncing from one direction to another. It created a rift in time, essentially a bubble that existed inside time itself, and every traveler got sucked into it. After some chaos, one person rose above it all and became a sort of leader, delegator, and a general consensus was formed that this person and a group of elected officials from each major region, would form a committee, a "Headquarters of Time," that would manage the actions and choices of travelers and prevent such insanity from happening again. Thus Headquarters was born.

I could go into further detail about how the "rift" in time works, how the Under Realm is actually a branch of HQ that split from them to go rogue in the 1800s, and the "founders" of HQ, etc, but um. This is already crazy long so I won't.

I'm sure you weren't expecting to open this bag of worms with your questions :D;; but thank you. Very little of this (or I guess, a very shallow version) is touched on in the story/narrative itself so it's fun to be able to talk about lol.

Question...I haven't read the books but do Marina's kids stay with Phillip? I don't know why but I just can't see show Eloise's ending being in the countryside with stepkids

In the books they're also his kids which imo never made too much sense to me. Since the reason he's married to Marina is much the same as in the show. I think the way the show's gone about it is a change that actually works, it just fits better imo. But yes, he does have the twins after she passes. It's a high point of conflict in his narrative, his parenting of them, or lack thereof, let's say.

Phillip had an awful father who was very abusive and his narrative really stems from having avoided parenting his children because he's afraid he'll spiral into the type of father that his own was. So he has truly let that fear win over him and he deals with them as little as possible. However, Amanda and Oliver are not a pair to go quietly into the night lmao. So he does often have to deal with them because of their behavior. Behavior that he doesn't realize is a cry for attention and affection.

He's a very lost and sad man, tbh. He didn't want the baronetcy, he didn't want kids, but he's a good person and in filling the hole his brother---who he considers to have been a far better man than he is---left when he died, he ended up with all the above.

That being said, I disagree on Eloise. To begin with, I think that Amanda and Oliver being full-fledged children when she meets them, makes her introduction to children, if you will, a whole different ballgame than her siblings. They're not a pregnancy that she endures as a step two to a marriage she didn't want, or fears. They're not infants who she needs to tend to 24/7. They're two kids who are rambunctious and yearning for company. It's just different. And it is imo the perfect window into motherhood for her specifically, given her hesitance towards it. Hesitance that imo exists because of her rejection of societal norms and fear of the process after having been witness to Hyacinth's birth. So the way they crash into her life is so well-suited for her.

As for life in the country, I don't see why it wouldn't suit her. Eloise really is not a fan of life in London society. The show version even more so than her book counterpart. This Eloise detests the constant gatherings, the mingling, the pressure. The country life is the exact opposite. Not to mention, Phillip is a man who detests London society just as much as she does. If you had to pick one introvert of the whole series, it's Sir Phillip Crane. There's a bit in TSPWL where Eloise gushes about how she likes that Phillip has an actual occupation and work to do, as opposed to the men in London that she grew up around. And her second epilogue has that whole bit about how they never go to London for the social seasons because they would have to leave Phillip at home, lmaooo. I cannot think of a more perfect man for her. Also a side note here because the S2 gave us the content, but Anthony being Big Mad that Kate wanted to go shooting with them just reminds me of Phillip being delighted that Eloise likes to partake and is the best at it. That's no shade or anything, Kate/Anthony is literally my second fave of the series.

This answer got ridiculously long and I'm sorry but those are my philoise ramblings. Totally understood if it's not your cup of tea for Eloise though, but I am quite the fan, haha.
