My headcanons for little Loki include:

Usually quite young, ranging from around newborn to 3 years old due to his past, but will sometimes go up to 5 or 6

She loves physical touch from her favourite people! For example, night time cuddles with her caregiver (e.g. you if you enjoy self insert content or perhaps Mobius ^^)

Loki's mischievousness fluctuates depending on the era you have. Thor 1 is hardly ever mischievous as they enjoy being so young, usually just doing something small to elicite a silly reaction from you ^^ Avengers Loki is very mischievous, loving to run around and sometimes disobey orders, but at the end of the day he really loves you and apologises if he crosses a line. Thor 2 Loki is like Avengers Loki but times like 5. Sometimes he's a bit of a pain, but they also just love you and want a reaction. Thor 3 Loki isn't the mischievous type much, maybe turning into a snake or stealing a dagger once in a while, but she loves to cuddle moreso. TVA Loki in season 1 would probably pull a few little pranks here and there, but season 2 Loki couldn't bear it. She'd just wanna snuggle and play the day away, so if a friend or variant did something that she deemed bad, she'd start stressing. But luckily her carer isn't strict and understands that they're all just children having fun ^^

He is such a big fan of pram/stroller rides, giggling and smiling everywhere she goes! If she isn't, it's because they've fallen asleep from being so soothed lol

If Mobius is big, then Loki's favourite playmate is OB. I think that they're both autistic and that's something they can bond over as they share similar experiences what with being isolated from society in different ways

Going back to physical touch, hugs and gentle touches to the back or face (e.g. like stroking your thumb slowly up and down his cheek) are enough to bring him down from a panic attack sometimes, or just to soothe them

Picture books!! They're a must-have in this littles house, she loves them especially before bed :D

I like the idea of pre-canon Loki being an icon to asgardian minority groups.

Like, the queer community in Asgard? Love him to death. Particularly the trans community. They look up to them so hard.

Little asgardian girls hero-worshipping loki in her female form, because not only is she a female warrior who reminds them of a Valkyrie, but she’s also a sorcerer and a princess.

Asgardians who don’t fit the traditional asgardian standard of beauty being obsessed with Loki cause he looks nothing like his family or the people around him but he’s still confident and hot as hell.

Asgardian witches (independent magic users) after centuries of persecution suddenly feeling so seen and represented because there’s a witch in the royal family (Frigga doesn’t count, she works for the government).

Asgardian commoners feeling slightly less invisible because the younger prince is kind to them and spends more time mingling in the smaller villages than the rest of the royal family who hang out in the palace.

Non-Asgardians who have been wary of Asgard because of their suffocating military presence for eons, feeling just a tiny bit more at ease because the second prince likes sneaking off-world and exploring other realms and meeting other people all the time.

After the truth about his heritage comes out sometime post-TDW, non-Asgardians living in Asgard (like Hogun for example) feel oddly comforted by the fact that a member of a persecuted race is part of the ruling family.

It's been awhile since I've done some Headcannons 💚

•Loki Age Regression Headcannons•

•Loki and Thor sometimes regress together, usually around the same age as each other. But when Thor isn't regressed, he's the one who takes care of Loki and makes sure he's happy

•Loki likes his alone time when he's little, doing his best to be as independent as possible. He'll do things as far as denying cuddles because he's "a big kid" but eventually gives in and asks for cuddles anyway.

•His little age is from 2-4, mainly falling around the four range.

•He LOVES to go outside and play around. One thing in particular is he likes to inspect bugs he finds and just play make believe with them. Something about being outside makes him feel so calm.

•He has little gear for when he feels feminine, masculine, or somewhere in the middle. Like different colored onesies, certain decorated pacifiers, and certain blankets too!

•He hates being told what to do, absolutely hates it. If you tell him it's time to eat, he'll keep playing with his toys until he's ready to eat. If you want him to get dressed, he'll wait until the last minute until he's ready. So.. he can be a very stubborn little.

•He's not a fan of cartoons or movies. Instead, he listens to lullabies to help him feel calm while playing with his toys. Or sometimes, he'll just listen to the lullabies and lay down in bed.

•Loki loves having bedtimes stories read to him! That's the only thing that will help him go to bed at a reasonable time. Thor always tells him stories of adventures he's been on or just things he's done on Midgard.

•When Thor can't look over him when Loki's feeling extra little, he'll be watched by Dr. Strange. Surprisingly, that's the only person Thor trusts to watch over Loki when he's little.

trying to imagine what sylvie's apartment would look like and there is a part of me that thinks about how the last time we saw her enjoy her freedom as a child, she was playing with that dragon- and now that she is somewhere safe and stable there MIGHT be a chance she would purchase some little toys.

it's about doing what you couldn't growing up and reclaiming that autonomy that was lost. it's about holding that childhood she never got to have close and saying that yeah, a little friendly guy WOULD look nice in this room i earned, not only with my survival, but also just for being alive- people should get to do and enjoy things that make them feel loved!!

𐐪𐑂 Likes to play video games like Skyrim, Minecraft, or Animal Crossing

𐐪𐑂 Watches other regressors and acts as a big sib to them

𐐪𐑂 Is usually responsible when watching the younger regressors but will be down to prank someone or cause a little chaos

𐐪𐑂 Has been caught many times trying to sneak extra candy and snacks for himself and the others

𐐪𐑂 Only trusts his close friends and family with his regression. Specifically likes it when his brother Thor watches him

𐐪𐑂 Misses his mom and can get really upset when regressed

𐐪𐑂 Is very mischievous and can be a lot to handle but once you give him a video game he is good

𐐪𐑂 Is also a snake regressor and will actually just turn into a snake

𐐪𐑂 Will try and cause a mutiny of the caregivers so he can rule over the other regressors

Tiny baby Mobius had his reservations at first. He's always a little clingy to Loki, but now he is just head over heels for Thor and just so wants to be held and cuddled, and he loves that Thor lets him wear his big t-shirts to play in because of course all Loki packed was cute but rather frumpy and stiff baby clothes that aren't much suited to play.

And Sylvie? She loves having a big brother who's always happy to play with her.

Well... Loki plays too, but... he's not Thor.

Thor is really good at roughhousing and takes her out to ice cream and buys her (and baby) new toys!

Loki is a little mortified when he comes back to find how much his brother has spoiled his little ones!

Regression Headcanon

Loki was born with other birth defects than just being smaller than the Jotun. He's capable of getting sick like a Midgardian, whereas Thor has never gotten truly sick in his life. When Loki is regressed, sickness is a lot harder to cope with and seems more painful in his little state, so Thor (when regressed as well) will imitate Loki's symptoms in hopes that he won't feel alone. Thor also doesn't like being taken away from Loki and thinks 'being sick' means they can be quarantined together

This also follows when Loki is big + sick while Thor is regressed. Thor will continue to act sick so he can stay with Loki. Loki doesn't seem to mind too much when Thor is a bit rowdy behind closed doors; he's actually able to get Thor to take naps pretty easily or entertain him with magic if he gets too out of hand

It was a cool autumn day, and I was enjoying wandering around the creek by halfway down my backyard. I enjoyed looking at the rocks in the creek bed, and occasionally harassing the spiders and fish in the area. Something extra sparkly caught my eye from deeper in the water. When I leaned in and picked it up, nearly face planting in the water in the process, I realized it was a small golden snake with emerald eyes. As I held it, it slowly started growing before it lunged around my wrist and swallowed its own tail to complete the circle. I let out a little shriek of panic and started working to get it off of me. there were no seams I could dig my nails into to try and remove it, it just flexed when I tried to pull it, and the rocks I used to try and break it ended up just bruising me instead.

“Fine. You win. For now.” I grumbled at it, heading back up to the house and grabbing my hoodie on the way. I had gotten a little wet, and while the cool air was normally quite pleasant, against wet skin it was a little much for me. I walked into my back door while pulling the fabric over my head before managing to get through it instead. No sooner had I closed the door than there was a knock on the front door. I adjusted the hoodie sleeve to cover my new bracelet. “Comin'! Just a moment!” I called, hurrying to the front door.

I opened it to see a blond man with some of the biggest muscles I've ever seen outside a body builder and a much slighter, but still large, man next to him. “Sorry to bother you, but our aunt lost her favorite bracelet up the creek. We're going door to door to see if anyone has seen it.” The slighter man spoke.

“It's a gold and emerald snake.” The massive man added helpfully.

I hummed, as though in thought. I was not a good liar, but some instinct was guiding me. “I was just down there but I didn't see anything. You're welcome to go look though. The hook for the fence is on the inside between my house and the next.” I gestured in the correct direction. “Feel free to take your time. If you need anything, just knock. I'm getting ready to make cookies for my fiancé.” Saying there was another person coming home soon should keep them from attacking me if they had nefarious plans.

“Your kindness will be rewarded.” Mountain man smiled at me. It was an open, kind smile, but I didn't trust it.

I knew they were looking for the snake that had latched around my wrist, but...no, there was something off about those two men. I sighed and headed to the kitchen. Even if I didn't have a fiancé, some butterscotch chocolate chip cookies would be really good about now. I set to work, mixing a double batch of dough, and plopping half of it in a bag to freeze for later....if I didn't just eat it raw

As I turned around to start rolling the dough into balls, I froze at the black haired man with his finger in the bowl of dough. “Who the fuck are you?!”

“Shhh.” He turned to smile at me. His eyes were the same color as the eyes of the snake. I narrowed my eyes at him. “You don't want to alert the buffoons that something is amiss.”

“Tell me who you are, or I'll scream for them.” I hissed.

“I'm your betrothed.” He flashed a winning smiled at me.

“I don't have a fiancé.” I snapped.

“You've accepted my courtship offer.” He snagged my arm and pushed up my sleeve to reveal the snake bracelet.

“It attacked me!”

“It shouldn't have! Just wrapped around you.”

“Yeah, that's still an attack.”

“Look. Make the cookies and we'll talk. I promise to explain. I can remove the bracelet, but it will kill me.”

I narrowed my eyes at him again. “I'll let it slide until you explain. But you're helping me with the cookies.”

“What do you mean? They're delicious!”

“You get to roll them out and I'll put them in the oven.”

“You're so mean!” He pouted at me, but I could see the glimmer of amusement in his eyes.

“You're the one guilting me into marrying you without even telling me your name.” I pointed out.

“Oh! I am Loki, of Asgard.”

“Pull the other one. Gods aren't real.”

“Oh, but we are! You'll get to meet so many gods as my wife.” He beamed, then paused. “Granted, several of them tend to try and kill me, but they just don't have a sense of humor.”

“Wait, so am I in danger?”

“You’ll be afforded certain protections as my wife.” He assured before pausing. “I’m sorry. I’ve been assuming your pronouns because you’re female presenting. I forget most people can’t shift. Do you prefer she/her?”

“Yeah, actually. Thanks for asking. I’m cisgender.” I clarified.

“I’m genderfluid, but I’ll switch to present appropriately.” Loki told me with a grin. “So no guesswork involved.”

“Okay, cool. Thanks. Now back to the danger to my life, please?”

“There are certain protections afforded to you as my wife.”

“You said that. What does it mean?”

“I have magic and will put plenty of protections on the bracelet and any other jewelry you wear daily.” He explained, starting to roll out the cookies under my directions. “And if I'm around, I'm will take the attention, nine times out of ten.” He smirk was almost proud.

I hummed, fixing some of his cookies. “So I'll save your life, which I'm sure is great. But what do I get out of it?”

“There will be gifts. To start, after being alive for centuries, I do have quite a bit of human money and treasure, so I can fund you.”

“Fund me?”

“Anything. Your life, hobbies, trips, anything.”

“And all I have to do is marry you?”

“Correct. I will need to live with you, of course, to prove that this is a true marriage.”

“Do we have to consumate the marriage?”

“I won't ask that of you until you are comfortable.”

“So we're engaged until I am.”

“Yes! So are you in?”

“Your cube cookies will melt into the usual circles.”

”That's no fun. And you didn't answer me.”

I sighed. “I know. I'll marry you, but we will be setting up boundaries and rules for the house. I don't know you and I don't believe you are a god, so you'll have to earn my trust.”

“The fact that you're giving me the chance is enough.” He said seriously.

I hummed and put the tray of cookies in the oven. “Very well. You get to come up with a believable story as to how we meet and came to be engaged so quickly, because I'll have to explain it to my family and friends.”

“We've been dating for a while, just in secret.”

“That won't fly. Coffee? Tea?”

“What kind of tea? And why not?”

“I'm close to my family. They'd know if I was dating someone. What kind do you want?”

“Lemongrass? Then, hm. Online friend? That's something people do, right? And maybe it's a convenience thing?”

“Okay, that could work. But you're gonna have to get to know me real well real quick for it to be believable. I don't think I have lemongrass. How about ginger peach turmeric?”

“I could make that work. On both counts.”

“Great. I'll put the kettle on. Go sit in there and I'll bring the tea in.” I pointed at the couch. “And I'm also going to need information on why being engaged will save your life.”

“It's a long story.” He said, settling as I started the kettle.

“I have time. Sugar? Honey?”

“I'm not big on nicknames.”

“I meant in your tea, dumbass.”

“Sugar, then. And a lot of it.”

“Somehow that doesn't surprise me.” I rolled my eyes before bringing out two mugs of tea. I knew I wasn't any better, but still.

“Thank you darling.”

“I don't know you well enough for you to be calling me that.”

“I should get into practice.”

“Then you're getting nicknames too.”

“Ugh.” He grinned at me. “I suspect this is going to be a fun adventure.”

“It'd better be, to make up for preventing me from marrying anyone I may have picked.”

He looked at me for a moment. “I'm surprised someone your age isn't married already.”

“Ouch.” I shot him a glare.

“No, that didn't sound right.” He raised his hands defensively. “Last time I was on Midgard, humans older than 25 were considered old maids. I'm glad that's not the case anymore.”

“Oh, it is for some, but not here. It's more important to be happy then married.”

“Did you want to get married?”

“One day, with the right person. I also wouldn't mind having kids.”

“How do you feel about adopting?”

“Adoption is good. My brother is adopted. Not willing to give me kids of our own?”

“I actually already have kids. Will that be okay?”

“I'll want to meet them.”

“That will be difficult, but we can make it work.”

“Why?”

“They're imprisioned for crimes they didn't commit.” His expression was dark. “This might get one or two of them freed, if they promise ot behave with their new mother.”

“So they're adults?”

Loki smirked at me, put his cup down, and shapeshifted into an absolutely massive black snake. His head towered over me, despite us both being on the couch.

I stared at him with wide eyes, then put out a hand slowly to touch him. I gave plenty of time for him to give me a sign he didn't want contact, but he was so pretty as a snake. He butted his nose into my hand and slithered over to me, making himself comfortable in my lap. “This only proves you're a shapeshifter, not a god.” I told him, glad to stroke his smooth scales.

Random headcanons about assorted characters in When Everything’s Made to be Broken (which may or may not show up in the story):

Yelena is a diehard gamer and has a massively successful twitch channel. Bucky regularly makes guest appearances on stream, and Sam also joins in from time to time.

Natasha’s guilty pleasure is reality dating shows. Her fave? The Bachelor.

Shuri is a TikTok star. Half of her content is her hilariously roasting Tony and T’Challa. The other half is badass science shit.

Wanda is a fantastic guitarist. However, she has performance anxiety and doesn’t like to play when other people are around.

Bucky discovered that he really likes pop punk, emo, and hardcore music. He loves a good mosh pit and channeling his emotions into something physical that doesn’t involve killing people.

Steve exhibits his drawings in museums using a pen-name; much like Banksy, he will never reveal his true identity. His art is in many of the most famous art museums, but they have no idea that the man behind the art is the one and only Captain America.

Max, despite his strait-laced and cautious nature, refuses to say no when Mémère wants something. Even is it’s something Theo would absolutely not agree to… which leads to the next head canon:

Theo hates any situation that she cannot predict based on data and context, but loves any opportunity to create chaos. It’s the repressed younger sibling energy coming into play.

Despite what Loki says, he knows that Thor is actually really smart! Thor is great at math and science, maybe even better than Loki (even if Loki won’t admit it).

Thor isn’t concerned about whether or not people think he’s smart, and knows that Loki benefits from people thinking Thor is the brawn but Loki is the brains between the brothers, so he plays up the “oaf” vibe when it’s appropriate (but not too often, since world leaders are watching and he does not want to risk any possibility of harming the future of New Asgard).

Loki, though he is careful to hide it, actually enjoys a myriad of things about Midgardian culture. More often than not, they are connected to pop culture.
