Working in the film industry has always been a dream of yours since you were able to watch and understand movies. You were known as the family’s cameramen whenever there was an event, a holiday or just an outing. No matter who was around, you always had a camera and would film anything that caught your eye. Your parents knew that one day you’d be working within the industry and that you’d be happy with whatever job was thrown at you.
You explored many options but instantly fell in love with directing. Being able to capture the right emotion or scene always amazed you. You started off with small projects, a few movies and a couple of episodes of shows that never made it as far as airing on daytime TV. That all changed when you got a call from an unknown number wondering if you’d like to help directed the new Black Widow movie which you accepted gracefully.
While working for Marvel you learnt a lot from everybody around you, even falling for MCU’s newest member, Florence. The two of you got along like two peas in a pod, other cast and crew would always catch the two of you mucking around, pulling light pranks on others, and loudly laughing at stupid jokes that had no real meaning.
The two of you made things official shortly after filming wrapped up and it’s been the happiest and healthiest relationship you’ve had. Your family love her, your friends love her, and you always receive compliments about the pair of you whenever you attended award shows and other events. Florence’s family adored you and always made you feel a part of the family.

“How was work love?” you smiled as Florence walked through to the living room. “Meh, it was a long day. I’m going to have a shower and head to bed” she spoke, walking by you as you sat comfortably on the sofa. “Hey, baby, are you okay?” you asked. “I’m fine darling, just really tired” Florence replied but you didn’t buy it.
Recently, well, since you start directing a new movie, rumours started floating around that you were dating one of the main stars of the movie. This gave you a ‘name on the streets’ as they would say. You knew better than to feed into the drama that came with the job and ignored the claims.
It was obvious that Florence wanted to have some downtime, so you left her to her own will and continued flicking through the recorded footage that was taken earlier today, eventually falling asleep on the sofa later into the night.
When you woke up, Florence had already left for that day. She wasn’t herself recently and you wanted to be there for her, but she made it hard when she was giving you the cold shoulder every day.

The day went on as Florence entered the back of your mind, you got caught up with work and really wanted to get these scenes done while the weather was kind enough to allow some public filming. It was never a surprise that paparazzi always seemed to know where movies were being film and when they were taking place.
They snapped all kinds of photos and videos of the set, anything they could use to get a story update on the upcoming film. You weren’t aware of the damage today’s videos would deliver until you would arrive home.
While on lunch break, Florence decided she wanted to surprise you on set. She brought you your favourite take out for a change up from the food you’d been eating over the past few months. You never saw her though, the image of you and Lili Reinhart getting cozy with one another didn’t help the thoughts she’d been having recently, the headlines she’d read, the talk of her girlfriend cheating on her was too much.
It was never like Florence to feed into rumours like these but when her close friends started question her on the photos that media outlets released of you and Lili, she couldn’t take it anymore. She waited for you to set the rumours straight, hopeful the consent headlines bothered you as much as they bothered her, but they didn’t. You knew where your heart belonged too and weren’t threated by the media’s response to you being friendly with a co-worker.

“Flossie, I’m home” you announced as you walked through the front door. The house was dark and Billie’s food bowl was empty. “Baby?” you called out but didn’t get a response. You assumed she wasn’t home as a sigh left your lips. You missed her, you missed being able to spend time with her, cuddling her in the mornings, cooking for each other, snuggled up on the sofa watching movies, you missed her.
Walking to your shared bedroom you heard the muffled sniffles coming from the hall. “Flo?” you knocked on the door before slowly opening it. “I’ll be out in a moment” she replied, her voice broken but you’d already entered the room.
“Baby, what’s wrong? Are you okay?” you asked her, eyes filled with worry as you saw her sitting on the floor with photos of the two of you in front of her. Her cheeks were soaked from her tears. “Florence, what’s going on?” you quickly sat down next to her wanting to hold her, but she moved away. “Don’t touch me, please” she chocked.
“I’m not going to hurt you love, I’m worried about you”
“No, you’re not…” she wiped her tears only to have her eyes fill with a new stream “you haven’t since you started working on that new film” she added with anger.
Your brows frown with concern, “Florence what are you talking about? Of course, I’ve been worried about you”
“Ar-are you” she ran her fingers through her short dirty blonde hair, “are you cheating on me?” she asked bluntly, only then did everything make more sense to you. Shaking your head, “No baby, I’m not” you replied in a serious tone, “where is all this coming from? I thought we agreed to ignore rumours like those” you added.
“I thought so too but – “she pulled out her phone and slid it across to you her camera roll full of the recent photos of you on set today. You heart dropped; the photos looked more personal than just two friends having a laugh. “I came to see you on set today, I brought you lunch but I saw you literally feeding her half a sandwich then these photos were posted, and I’ve had everybody asking me about us so please… don’t lie to me…are you seeing her on the side?” Florence asked once again, her voice breaking one more.
You placed her to the side and looked into her red and puffy eyes. “I’m sorry I didn’t see this was hurting you, but I promise you, I’m not seeing her on the side, I’m not dating her, I am not cheating on you. We are simply just working on a film together; I promise you that is all. Yes, we have some fun on set and today, what you saw, Lili didn’t want to smudge her lipstick that was just applied so I offered to just tear off pieces and feed them too her instead. I swear, nothing is going on with Lili and I” you explained never leaving her eyes.
“Why haven’t you set anything straight with the media? I know it’s meaningless, but my friends are questioning us, and I felt so fucking stupid…how was I supposed to explain all those photos?”
“Because I didn’t think the rumours bothered you this much, they’ve never came between us before…Flo, I’m so sorry I didn’t see the issue sooner and I’m even more sorry that you thought I wasn’t being loyal to you” you shuffled closer to her, this time she didn’t move. “Honey, I love you. I don’t care for anybody else, only you. You mean more to me than a movie” you reached for her hands, “look at me, please” you whispered as tears filled your own eyes.
Florence’s eyes moved from your hands on top of hers to your eyes. Your heart breaking at the sight of her being so helpless. “You are the one I want to spend the rest of my life with, I mean that. I’m not just saying this because of all that’s happened I’m saying it because I’ve never been so happy with anybody before. If I have to gain your trust again, I’ll do it, I’ll do anything, but I swear you Florence, I only have eyes for you, my heart is in your hands”
With that, Florence broke once again, crashing into you as you wrapped your arms around her. “I’m so sorry baby” you said over and over, rubbing her back as your own tears streamed down your cheeks.
“I’m stupid, I’m so sorry I didn’t just ask you before I overacted” Florence sobbed pulling away from you. Gently you stroked her cheeks with both your hands, wiping her tears. “You had every right to overreact” you smiled softly causing a small chuckle from Florence.
“I may have burnt your favourite hoodie in the backyard” she admits.
You chuckled, “I don’t care about a hoodie, I just want you to be happy” you continued to stroke her cheeks, “I really do love you darling” you added.
“I love you too my love” Florence returned a soft smile, crashing her lips onto yours.
“Tomorrow, can I take you to set and show everybody how much I love you?” you asked after pulling away, “by that I mean I want to show the world that I am only yours” you added. Florence nodded before placing another kiss on your lips, “please just hold me” she whispered before leaning into you. “Of course, honey” you wrapped your arms around her tightly.

Making two random Marvel characters meet #1
The Moon Boys and Kamala Khan
Warning: Mentions of trauma only if you squint, nothing else.
This is just a headcanon that's been running around my mind for a while. I just think that they all would have a cool character arc together.
Of course, the headcanons have next to no chance of happening anyway.
This was written before the Ms. Marvel series was even completed, so this is pretty vague and contains no plotlines or might not be in sync at all with what might happen in MCU's future.
A/n: Felt physical pain knowing that Muslims don’t usually celebrate Raksha Bandhan (pls do correct me if I’m wrong because I learnt this from Google) because I’d give right about anything for Kamala to tie Rakhi on Marc’s wrist and him not taking it off for the whole day.

The way I see it, this duo could be the next “grumpy yet cool dad figure adopting an over-eager teenager with who they bonded quite a bit, and would definitely screw up anyone who hurt them” dynamics in MCU, following Tony-Peter and Stephen-America.
If their first-ever meeting was during super-heroing, whoever is fronting would most definitely go "Who the FUCK is letting a 16-year-old fight crimes around here? I'd like to have a word with them" and proceed to draw all the attention to him so she doesn't get hurt.
Let's say it's Marc who met her first. Fast forward a few minutes, he is clearly getting his ass handed to him and Kamala swoops in to save the day. They decide to team up, and after a messy, but successful mission nevertheless, they'd go get ice cream or a drink.
Kamala would immediately bombard him with questions, about his superhero origin story and how long he's been doing this because "Trust me, I know right about everything there is to know about the Avengers and you're not one of them."
"Far from it, kid," he'd grumble. "I'm the avatar of the Egyptian God, Khonshu" He'd explain how being an avatar works as she'd listen intently, taking in the fact that Egyptian mythology was indeed very real, as the Norse ones. "So, as I said earlier, I don't do team work, I'm better off alone,"
"But what you did back there was awesome!" She'd exclaim in dismay. "And the suit changes mid-fights? One moment you have this long cape fluttering behind you wherever you go and the next second you look like you're going to a serial killer met gala,"
That's when Marc truly laughs. It wasn't every day he met someone who doesn't want to kill him, let alone someone who was filled with life and enthusiasm and doesn't keep him on the edge all the time.
He could see Jake smiling in the reflection. "I like this kid. She's got spunk," He'd say, getting a warning glare from Marc.
He could see Steven in the back muttering something about "Serial killer met gala" and couldn't stop smiling to himself.
"The suit changes because the person who is wearing it changes, kid," he says and proceeds to explain about Steven and Jake, all the while she listens to him dumbfound.
"So, in a way," She'd smirk, "You're already doing teamwork. You just don't like being around other people,"
"Can't argue with that," he'd shrug. "Right. Don't you have any normal work to do? What do you kids your age do? Study, party? Why are you here?"
When he learns about her story, he realizes how much of her family and her ethnicity's history is bestowed upon this little kind. A part of him was impressed, and another part was mad that a teenager had to bear the mantle of representing an entire community, and if she ever messed up, bad people were going to come not only after her but her people too.
He'd feel his heart breaking for her because she was so young and innocent, she hadn't yet seen the fate of what happened to people who chose this path or what toll being a hero would take on her.
"That's her decision, Marc," Jake would chime in.
"She's just a child, Jake," Both he and Steven would hiss, their headspace immediately breaking into chaos.
I think there is so much potential for an awesome dynamic here.
Kamala and Marc would be the ultimate sunshine and sunshine protector TM duo ever. Layla would sometimes tease him about him basically being her brother figure, but he'd brush it off, grumbling about how he's just not letting that kid get into anything stupid.
It'd take him hours of convincing and some expensive chocolates to keep her from making a video about him and posting it on her youtube channel.
"Dude, it has like 5 subscribers anyways, and all of them are my friends," She'd whine, but would finally agree to keep his identity a secret.
Whenever Kamala would rant about her family, Marc would listen to her, wishing he could tell her how lucky she is to have a family that cares for her and loves her so much.
Kamala would sometimes be tip-toeing around that topic. Ever since Marc told her about his DID, she'd been researching about that and it came to her knowledge that this disorder develops in little kids who have gone through extreme trauma. She couldn't for the life in her imagine what would've happened. Abusive parents? Rough childhood and foster care system? He'd never talk about any of it and Kamala never tries to push it.
Marc would explain to her what having DID was like, and how he found out that he wasn't alone and shared his adventures with her. He wasn't great at narrating stories, so Kamala had to do most of the work, pulling sentences from him that would paint the perfect picture of the story he was trying to tell her.
She'd also brush up on her knowledge of Ancient Egypt and whenever she tried to geek about it, Marc would chuckle. "Steven's not available at the moment, try again later."
Muneeba's cooking was Marc's favorite. He'd traveled nearly all around the globe and had to eat a lot of dishes from various cultures, but he's always had a knack for Desi food, he found out, no matter how spicy it was. He'd huff and puff through it, his face red and hot but he'd be too proud to admit that the food's a bit too spicy.
Kamala would smirk, and tell him how she finally has a companion other than Bruno and doesn't have spice tolerance either.
If Kamala ever gets injured mid-fight, better take it for granted that whoever was responsible for that is going to get shredded to pieces. He would fight with such violence and vigor, not in front of her of course, that even Jake would be impressed.
Marc would feel less like a mistake and try to enjoy the lightness the kid brings whenever they hung out.
"Look, kid, if you want to survive out in the world with the kind of powers that you have, then you have to learn to physically fight too, alright, don't always rely on your superpowers, you never know what might happen," He had finally said one day, after Jake pestering him for a week straight.
"Jake, Steven, and I are gonna help you, and teach you how to fight," He'd say and be met with an over-enthusiastic and excited Kamala.
He'd soon realize how much he underestimated the kid because even without using her powers, with all the fighting, the kid has gotten physically and mentally stronger. Maybe she can survive this after all.
He couldn't help but worry at times about the inevitable- she's going to lose somebody close to her. An unsettling feeling would take over him, as he realized how much it would break him to see the kid in pain.
Kamala and Steven are probably the softest and most enthusiastic duo who aren't family related in the MCU.
Usually, when Steven is fronting, nearly the whole time would pass by as they both take turns sharing their knowledge on different things that interest them.
Muneeba doesn't understand how Kamala is sliding in random Egyptian facts in everyday conversation and doesn't remember buying her that large Encyclopedia of Egypt that sat heavily on her study table. Probably a gift from Bruno, she had shrugged it off.
If Steven ever got the chance to meet her family or already knows them in the story, he'd definitely help Muneeba around the house with all the work. Breaking through a Desi mother's doubts and initial distrust was probably his greatest achievement, he'd tell Marc and Jake.
This man would have ZERO tolerance for spice and the family would try to stifle their laughs as Kamala brings him cold water and curd to ease the burning. Muneeba made a note to go easy on the chili whenever Steven was around.
Steven Grant was a patient man, and Kamala liked to test that by going "Alright what's all this then," and "It's chewsday, innit?" in a terrible English accent all the time. Jake and Marc adored her for this very reason.
And let us not forget about Kamala's dad and Steven watching cricket matches together!! Those two would lose their minds during every sixers and fours, and wicket. They'd often get into heated discussions about the players and their styles, and historic cricket matches. They both would put the match's commentators to shame.
Kamala might ask for Steven's help whenever she had a history test, and Steven would spend hours teaching her the study materials and helping her memorize all the dates and places and major events fast because he was easily the best teacher Kamala has ever encountered in her life.
When she jokingly mentioned that, Steven felt so proud of himself, not something he was used to feeling.
Kamala is the best wingman for The Boys and Layla. They might be divorced, or complicated or working through it, but whenever Kamala was around, she would, in her own ways, try to help the boys out.
Whenever a mission was getting out of hand, his first priority would always be getting Kamala to safety, though as time went on, he learned to let her fight beside him because she was equally, if not more, stronger and powerful than him.
Kamala and Jake would be the definition of a disaster duo that raised the blood pressure of anyone and everyone around them.
He mostly never fronted when any of Kamala's family members were around. He had met Bruno tho and promptly traumatized that kid with his gruesome stories. Kamala would shove him in the ribs to make him stop, but he'd only keep smirking as he watched Bruno fumble around him.
He'd have zero verbal filters around the kid, earning him a string of warnings from both Steven and Marc which he blissfully ignored. He'd also not bother about beating guys to a pulp whenever she was around, unlike his other alters who were always careful to not use too much violence. Though it made Kamala queazy sometimes, she wouldn't say anything because Jake was the only one who she felt treated her like an adult who can handle things instead of a child who didn't know what she was doing.
Jake would be the one to spoil Kamala so much. He'd buy her whatever she wants on one condition: she exceeds in her superhero training program (but he just buys the random stuff she asks for anyways).
Kamala would try to learn Spanish from Jake, and he'd try to learn Urdu from her. It wasn't a thing they did voluntarily, they didn't set up classes or did it on purpose. They both would say something in their mother tongue and the other would ask what it means and they would go on teaching and learning for minutes together.
One time Jake even gave Kamala and Bruno a ride to their school in his infamous "SPKTR" Limousine that had the whole school turn around and look at them. "Enjoy the attention for the day," He'd say and drive off.
He'd often ask her if he wants to meet Khonshu knowing damn well Kamala can't see him (or can she, with her having Noor ancestry) but never got the chance to because he'd brush it off as a joke- a result of Marc, Steven and Khonshu yelling in the back for him to stop.
Jake usually steered clear out of the way of emotions and feelings. To him, existing while having fun and being wild was all that mattered. At least that was how he planned on spending his days. One day, he was flipping through Kamala's infamous sketchbook that was filled with superheroes and her friends, fictional characters she loved, or basic landscape sketches, and found illustrations of him, Marc, and Steven, fighting or just their basic character profiles.
He'd marvel at Kamala's talent. She really had the hands of an artist. That's when his eyes flicked to the captions beside or beneath every image that'd describe their superpowers or how she viewed them.
He could recognize his sketch pretty easily. The bloke with a boy cap and a suit, leaning over his limousine and a gun in his hand and mouth turned up in a smirk.
'Kid truly captured my essence,' He'd think. "Partner in Crime," He read the caption scribbled beside the illustration, smiling to himself a bit. "Coolest, deranged, uncle figure"
He never cared for much in this world, really. But if there was one thing he was good at, it was fighting for people he cared for. The list didn't have anyone other than Marc and Steven and only a couple of other people he'd seen in his short life, and Kamala was right beside the two idiots he shared his body with.
The Moon Boys and Kamala would be a fun and dangerous duo who have one of the most unique dynamics in the MCU, with so much potential for joint character development and arcs.

On the road to Loki season 2, and one of the first things to do for me to prepare for the new season (apart from following every scoop I could get my hand on) was rewatching season 1. And damn, I totally forgot how much I loved this series.
There's so much I love about Loki series, whether it's the multiverse and it's rules, a broken, flawed character like Sylvie, the TVA agents and their dilemma, the commentary on fascism and identity.
But I remember the one thing that hooked me to this series was Loki's redemption arc and how beautifully it was executed.
It was so full of hope and power, and each time I see the series, I leave with a renewed love for Loki choosing to be better, to change and become a different person to the one he was.
I already wrote about how much I love that Loki's change in the series is proactive and how these changes come about because Loki wants to change, not because the situation around him changes.
I think the Loki series shows a really honest and real side to healing and changing. Ideally, we believe that the way to healing is change the circumstances. So if Loki's trauma comes from messed up family dynamics and low self esteem, then the solution must ideally be Loki finding a loving family dynamic and having people who feel he's amazing.
I have written before how Loki's change in Ragnarok was reactive because he went to help Thor after he learnt that his family did learn him and so, he changed because the situation around him changed.
But in the series, as I had written before, he changes because he sees his own shortcomings and wants to change, even if the situation is pitted against him.
And I feel this is an honest portrayal of what true healing looks like. Because true change must always come from within. Escaping an abusive situation and being placed doesn't always guarantee a healing. Nor can we heal someone else's trauma by loving them or something.
The way to heal from trauma comes from actively taking steps to heal from it. Same goes for our flaws. We can't change unless we want to change and in the series, Loki changes because he wants to change.
For him, when he decides to push his insecurities aside, there's no guarantee things are going to get better. In fact, in episode 6, they go worse. But it's a testament of his own proactiveness and bravery.
He no longer needs validation or feels the need to know or dictate how other people view him. He goes in, with a inkling but not absolute value because he believes in things this time. It's a gamble but he's no longer scared of losing because he has healed.
Which is beautiful and inspiring at the same time. I don't think any other person in the MCU has ever explored this side of healing and I love MCU venturing into this side of redemption, which comes from the inside.

a/n: After watching the movie, I couldn’t help but write this. There will be spoilers from the movie. Also, the main story line can change according to events, so it is not movie-related that much. enjoy!
& don’t forget that English is not my first language. & the story just focus on mcu!doctor strange, not comic version that much.

There was a total mess in Kamar-Taj. All the people in Kamar-Taj was dispersed after hearing Wanda’s plans about this new girl whose name doesn’t known neither any of you but all of trainers and masters were preparing for protecting this young girl and holding back Wanda with all of their powers. Y/n wanted to be one of them but her mission was already given. She had a mission to do in North Asia; find some trainers who spread important information about Kamar-Taj to wrong people and make a warning to them. Y/n was alone in this mission because all other trainers and masters were in Kamar-Taj for the attack. So, y/n should be careful in her mission and come back to help other trainers.
She was ready to go when Doctor Strange, one of the most popular magician in y/n’s world, walked in. Y/n took her time to look at him in a detailed way; he was handsome, yet, he was a kind of idiot for y/n. He defeated Thanos who destroyed half of the world with one snap, literally, but he was so afraid to have a relationship with his ex-girlfriend, Christine. Of course y/n knew their odd relationship because y/n and Strange did a lot of mission together with Wong and trio became like friends. However, a long time had passed since y/n went a mission with them. In their mission, y/n were be able to learn certain things about Strange’s life; as a magician and as a normal human and she learnt that he was in love with Christine. Also, she learnt that Strange was not ready for a relationship with her. Y/n didn’t understand his behavior. She was confused but she didn’t question because it was none of her business.
Strange came to Kamar-Taj with the new girl. He was talking to Wong when he saw y/n. Y/n immediately turned her head to another direction and felt a heavy and warm feeling in her chest. She felt a sudden joy in her heart for a second. She didn’t want this feeling. She knew what would come after this feeling and she didn’t want it. She was not ready to falling for a stupid magician who was totally in love with another woman. So, y/n tried to get rid of these emotions, to not feel a longing for him. Then, there he was, looking at y/n with a little smile in his handsome face. Y/n smiled back in both pain and joy, “Hi, Mr. Strange.”
Strange shook his head in disproval, “Didn’t we agree about calling each other with our first names?” Y/n said, “Okay, okay.” while waving her hands, “Hi, Stephen.” Before Stephen could say anything, she continued, “You brought this young girl who is not from our world and a treat to Kamar-Taj in one day, huh?” You laughed a little and hit Stephen’s left arm. “Very professional Stephen.”
He showed both of his hands in surrender, “That was not on my daily routine but here we are.” Two of you began to walk in sync to inside. “So,” Stephen turned to you while keeping walking. “You will help us or not?” You shook your head, “I’m afraid I couldn’t be able to help even if I want to.” Stephen seemed down for a second. “Why?” You shrugged your shoulders, “You know, all of us has our own missions.”
“Yeah, I know.” He stopped. He looked at you directly. “Thank you anyway and good luck with your mission y/n.” You felt hot when he said your name. Oh, you are really falling for this man, you know that. Two of you stood there for a while, looking each other’s eyes directly. The air between you was intense. So, you turned your head to entrance of Kamar-Taj, “I think you should go Stephen.” You turned to him. He didn’t say anything. He just looked at you and shook his head. Then he began to walk. You touched his arm suddenly.
He looked at you. You saw confused in his eyes. You were confused as well as him. Your hand moved without your permission but it happened anyway and you just spilt out your thoughts, “Be careful Stephen.” You give him a warm smile, “Please.”
He smiled back at you, “I will y/n.” You pulled your hand back. DAY 22: Rise of the Superheroes
New year, new chance at this documentary challenge of sorts. This one makes a chronology of movie adaptations of comic books (particularly superhero themed) and how the genre has taken the mainstream culture by storm. Being a fan of superheroes myself, I was really interested in this and I learnt a lot of things with this one. More thoughts under the cut.
Apparently Tim Burton made a Batman movie??? I did not know about that but I have to check it out, because it looks quite cool.
In one of the old movies mentioned here (don't remember which one exactly) GEORGE CLOONEY was casted as the BATMAN???????? What the flying fuck?????? In fact it's insane how the documentary kept throwing super popular names that were casted in these movies. Although I suppose these actors weren't as famous then as they are now.
The Crow and Blade are based off comic books????? Both were really scary to me as a child, especially the Crow. I might as well give both movies another chance. Now that I'm an adult they shouldn't scare me as much, and I'd like to see how my perception of them changes, knowing that they are adapted from comic books.
This documentary specifically has made me think a lot about the cyclical nature of entertainment (and capitalism by extension). These movies were made in the 80s and 90s, long before the current MCU and DCU frenzy, but it shows that Hollywood was already trying to make money off these adaptations. They kept producing movie after movie until their quality and profits dropped. And they had to stop. It's basically the same thing that is happening now, what, 30 years later? As much as I like superhero movies, we've been getting them nonstop for 10 years now and it's all bound to stop at some point. When they don't get enough money back.

Intro
¿What if events went differently? ¿What if Tobey Maguire’s Spider-Man was In the MCU? In today’s fan fiction we’re going to be exploring what would have happened if Tobey Maguire’s Spider-Man had a major role in the MCU. How can this affect the multiverse going forward? This is my own take of events taking inspiration from the Ultimates comics with elements from Ultimate Spider-Man for part 1, the 2013 Age of Ultron comic for part 2 and the 1991 Infinity Gauntlet comic while adding elements from the 2013 Infinity comic for the last 2 parts while following the mythology of Spider-Man and the timeline of the Raimiverse and MCU respectively. Without wasting anymore time sit back and relax and enjoy this 1st ever combined 4 part fan fiction.
Prologue
In my analysis of the multiverse I’ve seen many versions of heroes and villains from our world such as some of the members of the Guardians of the Multiverse and even Zombie Hunter Spider-Man. There are many versions of Spider-Man and the 1 that were going to see today is one of them. In our world this older Spider-Man who became known as Peter-Two in our universe helped our Spider-Man stop the Sinister 6 but in this world that you’re going to see he had assisted the Avengers in numerous occasions. I am the Watcher. I am ur guide to these vast new realities. Follow me and pounder the question. What If…
Part 1 (Formation of the Avengers and the Battle of New York)
After the events of Spider-Man 3 in 2007 Peter-Two and Mary Jane are together. They were happily married with 5 years having passed since then and it’s now 2012. Mary Jane was in her pregnancy phase and there was a newborn due in another 6 months. She was still a singer at the jazz club while Peter had taken the position of a senior photographer at the Daily Bugle. J. Jonah Jameson was still the chief editor of the Daily Bugle but his aggressiveness has toned down after all these years. He was finding funds to begin his own company and Peter told MJ that he dreams of having his own company and rehabilitation of limbs especially for war veterans. He said that he is close to getting the funds he needed but he is still short of the necessary equipment and resources. Peter added that Curt Connors inspired him to establish a company to help war veterans regenerate their lost limbs after war. Peter himself was no longer Spider-Man after the events of Spider-Man 3. He felt that keeping the suit was a better option as he wanted to honor the memories of his best friend Harry Osborn. Peter and MJ lived their lives like ordinary people. The events of Avengers were playing out the same like in our universe with the formation of the Avengers after Loki’s attack on the Shield base and our story resumes when Fury told Natasha that it would be great if they could enlist the help of Spider-Man. The other heroes in the meeting room were surprised that Fury wanted to recruit him. Tony said that Spider-Man is already a legend considering how he was one of the first superheroes of the modern era. Steve who has never seen Spider-Man before watched clips of him battling Doctor Octopus, Sandman, Venom and the Green Goblin. Steve was excited to meet a hero who has real super powers but Fury said that Spider-Man has been off the radar for the past 5 years. They couldn’t track him down even if they wanted to. The Avengers decided to continue their plan like in our universe. Their goal was to stop Loki and retrieve the tesseract. Some time later the Avengers became divided over how to approach Loki after Captain America and Iron Man learnt of Shield’s intentions to harness the tesseract’s power. Amidst the distraction Loki’s other possessed agents and attacked the helicarrier. A battle broke out amidst the helicarrier but Tony and the rest managed to fend them off. A mind controlled Dr. Erik Selvig managed to open a wormhole above Stark Tower that has begun the invasion of New York. Peter was dispatched by J. Jonah Jameson to get a scoop on the wormhole that has just opened. Peter was hesitant to go at first as he felt bad about the entire situation. His spider senses were tingling but MJ said that everything will be fine. She said that if anything happens she would immediately head over to Aunt May and Peter then kissed MJ before he went to take some shots for the bugle. Figuring that things might go south Peter dusted his own briefcase that had a suit in it. He decided to bring it along. Rogers, Stark, Romanoff, Barton, Thor and the Hulk rallied in their defenses of New York City where they faced tons of the Chituari army. Peter arrived at the scene where the Avengers were already battling the Chituari. A car then flew towards his direction and Peter’s spider sense kicked in and he instantly pushed the nearby bystanders away. He also managed to web the car from crashing onto them. Captain America saw what happened and realized that his actions matched the legendary Spider-Man. Steve wanted to approach him but more attacks from the Chituari prevented him from doing so. Peter continued his job after bringing the bystanders to safety. He then received a phone call and wanted to dismiss it as he was till busy with his work. He saw that MJ was calling him and quickly answered. He heard that MJ was whispering and sobbing saying that she and the other residents of the apartment have been detained by the aliens. She was about to say more but Peter heard screaming. Peter quickly ditched his camera and changed into a Spider-Man suit in an alleyway. Although this wasn’t his 1st time in 5 years of returning to hero duties Peter was feeling the adrenaline again. He lost Harry and he thought to himself that with great power comes great responsibility as he can’t lose MJ as well. The Avengers were still battling with Loki’s army and Hulk managed to beat Loki into submission while Natasha made her way to the generator on top of Stark Tower. She managed to free Erik Selvig from Loki’s mind control. Meanwhile, Peter arrived where MJ was being detained. He saw several Chituari that were guarding the hostages closely. Peter shot several webs at them and incapacitated them silently. The other guards were alarmed and started shooting at him but Peter managed to dodge them. As Peter was still rusty from not having to fight in a long time one of the Chituari gunners managed to shoot him in the ribs. Peter fell back and he held his ribs in pain. The gunner aimed his weapon at Peter before a shield went through and chopped his head off. The shield went back to Steve Rogers who went to Peter and give him a hand. He said that he saw Spider-Man saving the civilians earlier. Steve said that he had always wanted to meet one of the early legendary superheroes. Peter dismissed it as it was a average joke. Steve said that they can continue to chit chat later as the invasion is still at large. Peter under his Spider-Man suit said that this was above his capabilities. He could only save and bring the bystanders to safety. Steve said that having Spider-Man to assist them would be a great boost to the team. MJ told Peter that he should go perform his deeds as Spider-Man 1 more time. Peter then agreed as MJ and the others went to safety. Peter followed Captain America as they continued battling against the Chituari. Nick Fury’s superiors from the WSC attempted to end the invasion by launching a nuclear missile at midtown Manhattan. Stark then intercepted the missile and brought it into the wormhole. The nuclear detonated and destroyed the Chituari legions. As Tony was falling down unconsciously he was saved by Spider-Man. Spider-Man created a parachute of webs and saved him. He then brought Tony down and the other Avengers were surprised to see him. Spider-Man introduced himself as the Amazing Spider-Man and that his identity must be kept a secret. They decided to respect his decision. In the end the Chituari and Loki’s armies were defeated and Loki was sent back to Asgard with Thor. They also brought the tesseract back to Asgard too. Nick Fury went to Spider-Man and asked him if he wanted to be a part of the Avengers. He said that he has his own responsibility and his own personal life and Steve Rogers thanked Spider-Man for helping him and that the door was always opened to be an Avenger. Peter later returned back to MJ and embraced her. They were both glad that the alien attacks have stopped and they were victorious. However, Peter failed to get any shots for the Daily Bugle and J. Jonah Jameson screamed at Peter. Peter was already used to it and ignored it. He went back home and saw that there was a check of 10 million dollars and had Tony Stark’s name on the check. Tony said that he knows that Peter needed the money for his laboratory and research. He hoped that this fund can assist him and he thanked him for his life during the attack. Peter was surprised to have Tony know that he was Spider-Man and before he close it he saw behind the check that Tony will keep his identity as Spider-Man a secret. Peter Parker smiled and he embraced Mary Jane with the good news. His dreams of building his own company has finally started at last.
Part 2 (Age of Ultron and the Battle of Sokovia)
It’s been 3 years since the Battle of New York by Loki and his army and it’s now 2015. Peter-Two has since adjusted his life to be the new CEO of Parker Industries. While it is a small company that helps in comparison with Stark Industries Peter’s company was the main front runner for upgrading prosthetic limbs for the war veterans. They were also involved in creating modern technological devices and aerospace. Only Tony Stark and Steve Rogers knew about Peter’s double identity as Spider-Man but they kept it a secret as they owed him for his help during the Battle of New York. Meanwhile, Peter and Mary Jane gave birth to their firstborn daughter also known as May and MA Parker who is currently 2 1/2 years old. Peter was juggling between parenthood and his company and he did not resume his superhero duties as Spider-Man because he felt that it wasn’t a thing he needed to do as the Avengers were roaming the streets. The events of Age of Ultron were playing out the same as in our universe with the Avengers raiding the Hydra facility commanded by Baron Wolfgang Von Strucker in Sokovia meeting the Maximoff twins in the process but in this universe they were surprised since they were the first superheroes they meet with special abilities since Spider-Man. Our story resumes when the Avengers brought back the scepter with them to the laboratory and Stark contacted Peter asking him if he was interested with the scepter. Stark wanted to secretly complete his suit of iron legions around the world. In other words he wanted to complete Ultron which was Stark’s global defense program. Peter who was intrigued by the scepter was hesitant at first. He said that messing with a higher power might have consequences that even Bruce Banner refused at first. However, after having some talk about how Earth was unprepared during the invasion of Loki Peter and Bruce decided to join forces with Tony Stark to complete the Ultron program. During the party at the Avengers’s headquarters Ultron was activated unknowingly. Peter’s spider sense was tingling when he was at the party and he decided to leave the party and went to Ultron. He heard something taking to itself. Peter tried to pinpoint the direction but he couldn’t identify it. Ultron himself awoken and after browsing the files on the Avengers he said that the only option to save the Earth is to eradicate all of humanity. Peter defended that while humans can be evil there is a majority that are good. If Ultron were to eradicate all of humanity then he is no different than being evil. Ultron then said that he has no options as he will strive to be the savior of mankind. Jarvis then activated its defense protocol while Peter tried to install a kill switch to terminate Ultron. However, Ultron being smarter managed to eliminate Jarvis and Peter’s kill switch failed to activate in time and was overridden by Ultron. Peter used his webs shutting down Ultron but he escaped to another body. Ultron then fled the Avengers headquarters. The other Avengers were not aware of what happened until Ultron crashed out from there. Tony and the others were alarmed and tried to chase him down. Peter whose identity as Spider-Man was only known by Tony and Steve hid away. Tony rushed to where Peter was and Peter said that Ultron had terminated JARVIS. Ultron had his own mind. That was when the others knew about Tony’s decision to use the scepter for his own program. The Avengers decided to track down Ultron who was upgrading his body in Sokovia while building his army of robots. Peter himself went back to his house and started tracking Ultron from his place. He was devastated at first as he felt that he had created another monster. Venom, Doctor Octopus and the Green Goblin were all originally good folks that fell to the dark side. Peter fears that Ultron will be another episode again. MJ consulted him and told him that if he feels really bad then he should go to Sokovia to stop Ultron with the Avengers. Peter agrees this time and wanted to don his Iron-Spider suit but decided to go with his old school costume. He placed a tracker on Ultron before Ultron fled from the headquarters. Determined to resolve this mess on his own first before the Avengers Spider-Man left for Sokovia. He managed to track down Ultron’s exact location. Seeing how there were still enemies at the base this meant that the Avengers have yet to arrive. Peter then defeated the Hydra forces and met Baron Strucker. However, Ultron was there too. Ultron fought briefly with Spider-Man before killing Baron Strucker and Spider-Man tried to chase them down but his spider sense was tingling. He saw Wanda Maximoff and tried to attack him but he decided to dodge her telekinesis in time. He then shot webs to restrict her movement but she easily removed it. Ultron managed to flee away with Wanda and Pietro and Spider-Man sent a message to the Avengers that Ultron has gone to Johannesburg to acquire more vibranium. He told them that they needed to be careful with especially Wanda. Following Spider-Man’s lead the Avengers attacked Ultron while he was striking a deal with Klaw. Ultron dispatched the twins to deal with the Avengers. All of the Avengers suffered the hallucinations indicated by Wanda. Peter who knew what she can do prepared taser shots. With his spider sense he managed to evade her hallucinations. After realizing that the Avengers were under the hallucinations Peter used his taser shot webs that he got from Parker Industries to stun them to break them free from their hallucinations. The other Avengers recovered except Bruce. Bruce himself turned into the Hulk and started to go on a rampage before Stark managed to stop him with the Hulkbuster armor. As the Avengers were recuperating from the damage taken Nick Fury arrived and gave the team a pep talk to form a plan to defeat Ultron. In Seoul Ultron used Loki’s scepter to enslave Helen Cho and the Avengers team’s friends. Using a symptic tissue technology vibranium and the scepter’s gem to craft a new body Ultron began to upload his new body into the synthetic body when Wanda learnt of Ultron’s plan to create world extinction. With his new body they turned against him. The Avengers then created Vision with the Mind Stone in his brow and Vision would earn the trust of the others by lifting Thor’s hammer showing that he was worthy indeed. Much of the Battle of Sokovia will be the same as in our universe with Ultron attempting to use the remaining vibranium to build the machine to lift the capital city of Sokovia into the sky before trying to plunge it into the ground and the Avengers and their allies along with War Machine, Nick Fury, Maria Hill and the Agents of Shield arriving to evacuate the other civilians. Meanwhile Clint saw a kid who was trapped during the fight with Ultron’s goons. He went to shield him but realized that there was not enough time to evade the gunfire. Just then Clint and the kid were rescued via a web that was in a formation of a parachute. The robots that were shooting them were destroyed easily. Clint saw that Spider-Man has saved them. Pietro was not killed and brought the kid to safety. Ultron’s drones started to attack and overwhelmed the Avengers. However, Wanda who was in charge of her post to destroy Ultron’s primary body stuck to her duties unlike our universe where she was upset with her brother’s death. This allowed the drones to activate the machine sending Sokovia to the ground. Wanda was fending off the drones normally with her brother and the robots were seemingly endless. The Avengers feel that they lacked the strength to continue on. However, just then they saw a whirlwind of sand flying in the sky. The sand entered the robots from the inside decimating all of them. Peter was surprised to see that it was none other than Sandman. He was at Sokovia. Sandman said that he was in Sokovia as he was doing a humanitarian work for the poor after the events of Spider-Man 3. Flint Marko’s daughter recovered from her illness and Flint started doing good deeds for the society. He then sent himself to Sokovia and he refrained from using his powers at all but when the entire Sokovia was threatened and saw the other heroes fighting against Ultron Flint remembered the time when he was a villain. He decided to help the others as redemption for repaying Peter for forgiving him last time. Sandman and Vision would eventually tag team to confront and destroy Ultron’s last remaining body. As Sokovia was never lifted and Quicksilver survived in this universe the ending of this timeline will now be changed. Ultron was destroyed for good. Peter than thanked Sandman for his help before he ended up leaving. The Avengers have established a new base runned by Nick Fury, Maria Hill, Erik Selvig and Helen Cho with Thor leaving for Asgard to learn more of the major forces which would be the Infinity Stones and Thanos later on. Meanwhile, Peter returned to Mary Jane and his daughter May Parker with Wanda and Pietro joining the other Avengers which were Rhodes, Vision and Sam Wilson. The Sokovia Accords were never established as Sokovia never crashed down and the Avengers invaded a major disaster. This would result in the absence of the Civil War events at all as there was no Sokovia Accords. Wanda would still be stable as her brother was still alive. Meanwhile, Peter resume his duties at Parker Industries as he was wondering whether he should return to active hero duty after all.
Part 3(Infinity War)
3 years have passed since the Battle of Sokovia with Ultron and his drones and it’s now 2018. Bucky Barnes alias the Winter Soldier was still on the run from the authorities after the incident that took place during the events of Captain America The Winter Soldier. As the newly recruited Avengers were training in the Avengers Compound meanwhile, Peter has resumed his duties at Parker Industries. He also hired Dr.Curt Connors to be the new head of division for the biogenetics department. His daughter May Parker is 5 1/2 years old and Mary Jane was awaiting for a newborn son which was due within the next 3 months. MJ was no longer a singer at the club as she has taken the role of a secretary at Peter’s company. Tony Stark never recruited the MCU version of Peter Parker as there was no Civil War events. Tony knew that there was another similar Spider-Man out there but decided not to recruit him as he was still a kid. “1 Spider-Man is enough” he thought to himself. Much of the beginning of Infinity War’s timeline will be the same as in our universe with the mad Titan Thanos acquiring the Space Stone after retrieving the Power Stone from the now obliterated Xander. He would defeat Hulk and kill Loki and Heimdall destroying the Statesman in the process killing the Asgardians and left Thor floating in space. Thanos would then go find the Reality Stone at Knowhere. Before his death Heimdall managed to send Hulk to Earth with him crashing in the Sanctum Sanctorum and being discovered by Doctor Strange and Wong. Strange went to alert Tony. Our story resumes here as due to the absence of the rift between the Avengers because of the Sokovia Accords Tony contacted Steve Rogers and informed him of the threat that Thanos poses. Steve, Natasha, Wanda, Sam, Pietro and Vision were on active patrol duties around the world eliminating terrorism and global threats. Steve told Tony that he would immediately head to him when they have accomplished their other duties. Tony contacted Peter and also informed him of Thanos. Since Peter was not in active duties as Spider-Man since the events in Sokovia with Ultron Peter went to visit Tony in his Peter-Two form. After hearing Strange and Wong explain about the Infinity Stones Peter was surprised as in all these years as being a hero he has yet to hear of something of this scale before. Just then they heard people running and screaming on the streets. Peter, Tony, Bruce Banner, Doctor Strange and Wong went out and they saw a large spaceship appearing in the sky. From out the Q-ship came Ebony Maw and Cull Obsidian. Peter who never brought a Spider-Man suit was told by Strange and Wong to get back. Peter and Bruce went to bring the other civilians to safety. Meanwhile, Strange, Wong and Tony tried to fight back Cull Obsidian and Ebony Maw. As Ebony was stronger compared to the trio the Black Order were on the brink of winning. As Ebony was about to transport Strange back to his spaceship he was punched continuously by a force. Ebony was then restricted by some sort of telekinesis similar to him. The cavalry have arrived. Steve, Sam and Pietro fought against Cull Obsidian while Wanda, Natasha and Vision were fighting against Ebony Maw. Steve threw his shield at Cull Obsidian while Strange created a portal cutting his head off. With Cull Obsidian out of the picture and Ebony Maw left the Avengers shifted their attentions to him. Steve Rogers said that they should keep Ebony Maw for interrogation while Tony said that it would be better off for them to place back Ebony Maw on his spaceship and follow him to where Thanos might be. Tony and Cap had a brief rift when Peter’s spider sense started to tingle. He told them to be careful when they heard a scream from Vision. They saw Vision being stabbed in the back by Corvus Glaive. Wanda was about to use her telekinesis powers on him before Próxima and Corvus then took Vision away while Sam, Tony and Steve made the chase to them. The trio eventually caught up to them as Corvus Glaive was on the brink on removing the Mind Stone from his head. Pietro came in time to punch Corvus Glaive away and allowing them to retrieve Vision safely. Realizing that they have messed up the Black Order retreated while promising that the next time they will acquire the stone. With Vision wounded badly the Avengers were deciding on what they should do with him. The Mind Stone plays a key effect in Thanos’s Infinity Stones plan. If they were to destroy the stone then Thanos can be stopped. However, Steve refused as he said that no lives will be sacrificed. As Tony and Steve were battling over what they should do with Vision Peter said that he would be able to extract the Mind Stone without killing him. However, Vision might lose much of his abilities and he would just be an intelligent android. Vision said that this would be his best shot. Peter said that it would be advisable to have some backup at Parker Industries with some Avengers guarding them. Tony’s tracker beeped as they found the location of Ebony Maw in deep space. They figured that Ebony would most probably be united with the Black Order. Tony decided to build a spaceship that could transport them into space if necessary. Captain America said that he will head over to Wakanda to perhaps acquire the help of Black Panther. Sam, Natasha and Bruce joined Captain America while Wanda and Pietro remained at Parker Industries with Peter. Strange and Wong returned back to the Sanctum Sanctorum and meanwhile, the mad Titan has obtained the Reality and Soul Stones on Knowhere and Vormir respectively. Thor went to obtain the Stormbreaker with Rocket Raccoon and Groot. In our universe Tony, Strange and Spider-Man joined forces with the Guardians of the Galaxy to fight against Thanos alone on Titan. However, in this universe due to none of the Avengers being on Titan it was only Star-Lord, Drax, Mantis and Nebula who were on Titan this time. Gamora was killed on Vormir while the other 2 were with Thor. The Guardians of the Galaxy were spying on Thanos talking to his Black Order. The mad titan returned with the Black Order to Titan with 4 stones already completed on his gauntlet. He was disappointed that his children have failed him and Cull was already dead. Due to this he recruited a new member known as Supergiant and said that he will go to Earth himself and told them to prepare the armies. Star-Lord knows that going head-on against Thanos and his children would result in suicide. Knowing that Thanos will be heading to Earth Star-Lord told the rest to prepare the spaceship and sent the coordinates to Earth. Steve then told Black Panther that they will be needed in his help as Thanos is coming and soon the entire universe will be doomed once he gets his hands on all the Infinity Stones. Black Panther agreed and dispatched Shuri to New York to help Peter with the extraction of the Mind Stone. Meanwhile, at Parker Industries Peter was already 50% of completion with the extraction of the Mind Stone. Wanda and Pietro were still around during the process and Tony’s satellites then informed him that there were legions of spaceships in the Earth’s atmosphere and the estimated location of the spaceships dropping will be in New York City. Tony then knew that Thanos will be arriving soon. He contacted Steve and Peter about it. Steve said that Black Panther and his armies of Wakanda will be arriving soon in New York. Tony alerted general Thunderbolt Ross who in this universe has become the Red Hulk about the arrival of Thanos. However, Ross refused to believe him and thought that this was a hoax from Tony. Tony then dispatched the Iron drones across New York to evacuate the civilians as a huge war will break out in the midst of New York. Shuri arrived and the process of the Mind Stone extraction was already at 75%. Doctor Strange, Wong and Tony with his Iron legions arrived at Parker Industries as they knew that the war with Thanos was looming upon them. Just then Thanos and his armies arrived in New York. General Thunderbolt Ross who realized that Tony’s warning was real turned into the Red Hulk and dispatched the National Guard, Marines, the Air Force and the US army to New York. Peter and Shuri were working together swiftly to fasten the Mind Stone extraction from Vision. Steve, Doctor Strange, Wong and the other wizards from the Sanctum Sanctorum along with Natasha, Bruce Banner in his Hulkbuster armor and Black Panther would arrive in New York with their armies assembled. The hordes of Chituari and Outriders were unleashed as the Avengers battled against them. Pietro went to help the Avengers in the battle while Wanda stayed behind. Peter who has been working on a modified Iron Spider suit since his last hero days prepared it on standby.
Part 4(Ultimate Finale)
As the Avengers and Wakandans were battling with the hordes and getting overwhelmed they saw a bright light emerging in the middle of New York. Thor has arrived with the Stormbreaker along with Groot and Rocket Raccoon. Thor then tried to clear away the hordes of Thanos’s armies. Corvus Glaive and Próxima Midnight made their way to Parker Industries to obtain the Mind Stone. Thanos said that he will deal with Strange joined by Ebony Maw and Supergiant. As Corvus Glaive and Próxima slaughtered the security at Parker Industries they made their way to the top of the building. However, along the way Próxima was flung backwards crashing into the doors. Corvus was surprised and looked backwards before he was slashed across the face. He saw a giant lizard standing in front of him. The Lizard who was Dr.Curt Connors’s alter ego started clashing with Corvus Glaive and overpowering him. Proxima got back up and was about to stab him with a spear before webs electrocuted her incapacitating her. Spider-Man has modified his suit to have electric webs making sure that she was down for the count completely. Corvus then battled against the Lizard and Spider-Man. After a brief battle Spider-Man outwitted Corvus before using his own Glaive to stab him in the chest. The Lizard then ripped his head off killing him for good. Proxima Midnight woke up and saw that Corvus was dead. She furiously grabbed her spear and wanted to stab the Lizard before Peter managed to blast a hole in her stomach with a Wakandan gun killing her for good. Proxima and Corvus were both dead. The Lizard reverted back to Curt Connors. Curt thanked Spider-Man for giving him a chance at redemption in his life by introducing him to work at Parker Industries. Curt originally managed to find a way to recover his lost arm with the lizard DNA but it overpowered him turning him into a monster. However, Peter as Spider-Man defeated him. Peter as the CEO of Parker Industries then created a cure for Curt which allowed him to suppress his Lizard DNA in him at will. This allowed Curt to transform into the Lizard only when necessary. Spider-Man then told Curt to be on alert for any intruders while protecting Shuri. Wanda was still on her post looking out for Vision and then Peter changed back from his Spider-Man suit and continue to work on Vision. Natasha, War Machine, Captain America, Bruce Banner, Tony, Doctor Strange, Wong and Black Panther were battling the mad Titan. Thanos who had 4 stones with him managed to overpower them. Thanos tried to acquire the Time Stone from Strange but Strange manifested himself into thousands of himself before trying to restrain him. Thanos found the 1 and only Strange and caught him. He was choking Strange and grabbed the Time Stone. However, Pietro came and started punching Thanos repeatedly before the mad Titan used the Reality Stone to turn him into cubes. Meanwhile, Ebony Maw made his way to Parker Industries after learning that the other 2 of the Black Order failed. Ebony saw the Lizard and several guards at the entrance to the room where Vision was being kept. Ebony easily disposed of them with his telekinesis powers. The Lizard tried to fight back but was tied against the wall entering the room. He saw that it was only Shuri there. Ebony then mocked Shuri as she was alone and that they could not stop Thanos. Spider-Man shot several webs to blind Ebony but he easily deflected it. Ebony then started crushing Spider-Man’s suit from the outside before Wanda emerged from behind and ripped him apart with her powers killing him for good. Thanos who was trying to acquire the stone from Doctor Strange heard someone screaming his name. He looked up in the sky and Thor wounded Thanos. However, Thanos used the Power Stone to throw away Thor. Wounded from the Stormbreaker Thanos went to get the Mind Stone 1st instead. A spaceship came crashing onto Thanos. Mantis jumped onto Thanos and tried to put his mind to sleep while Drax slashed Thanos from behind. Nebula and Star-Lord blasted shots at him to weaken him and a whirlwind of sand came and blinded Thanos. Sandman has arrived after Peter has contacted him earlier of a possible world doomsday. Sandman agreed to help Spider-Man. The other Avengers including Captain America, War Machine, Bruce Banner, Tony etc. tried to restrain Thanos. Star-Lord knew that the mad Titan had sacrificed Gamora and wanted to kill him but Spider-Man came in and tased him with his webs. Star-Lord was knocked out unconsciously. Thor grabbed the Stormbreaker before chopping off Thanos’s arm that had the Gauntlet. Thanos watched as Thor said that his plan was finally over. Thor then summoned a powerful lightning bolt with the Stormbreaker and toasted Thanos. Realizing that Thanos was still alive Tony said that the only way to end him once and for all would be to equip all the Infinity Stones and snap. Doctor Strange placed the Time Stone while Peter placed the Mind Stone which was already removed by Peter and Shuri. The Gauntlet was already complete. The question was who would wield the Gauntlet. They needed to do it 2 times. 1 to snap away Thanos’s army and the other to destroy the stones. They agreed that nobody should hold the stones at once. Star-Lord wanted to get the Gauntlet as he wanted to bring Gamora back to life. Tony wanted to create a world of peace with his iron legions and Captain America thought about going back in time with Peggy. As they all had their own desires to use the Gauntlet for their own purpose Thanos who was still injured had a fighting desire and wanted to grab the Gauntlet. Spider-Man’s spider sense kicked in and he webbed the Gauntlet away. Peter said that they needed to focus and eradicate the true matter at hand. Armed with his Iron-Spider suit Peter grabbed the Gauntlet much to everybody’s surprise. He said that once he snaps to destroy Thanos’s armies he will snap again to create a world where Harry Osborn would be alive. He then snapped dusting away Thanos and his entire armies. He was then teleported to the Soul Stone where he saw Harry and Peter forgive him for that happened between them and Harry accepted his apology reminding him that “With Great Power Comes Great Responsibility”. Peter then collapsed from his wound sustained and Tony quickly applied the nano technology to heal him. Peter was unable to snap a 2nd time and Thor told him not to worry as he said that he will snap instead. Thor removed the Gauntlet from Peter before using the Infinity Stones to destroy the stones. He was able to take the damage more than Peter even though his arm sustained a heavy damage. The Avengers and the Guardians realized how they were all selfish with their own desires. After the Infinity Stones were destroyed Thanos was defeated and Peter Parker was recovering at the hospital under Tony’s care. While nobody knew about his true identity except for Tony and Steve Peter Parker decided to retire his Spider-Man identity for good. He said that he was too old for this and Thor joined the Guardians for a new adventure in space. Meanwhile, the Avengers continued their superhero duties across the world. Flint Marko was hired to be the new head of security for Parker Industries while Curt Connors continued his genetic research there. 3 months later Mary Jane give birth to their new son Benji and meanwhile May Parker started to show displays of acrobatic skills indicating that she has inherited Peter’s genes as Spider-Man. He told her that he was Spider-Man and that he will train her to become Spider-Girl when they saw in the news that there was an amateur Spider-Man stopping crimes in Brooklyn with May saying that he should train him as well. He promised that he will and dressed up as Spider-Man 1 last time and went to Brooklyn to encounter this Spider-Man. They both met and the young Spider-Man introduced himself as Peter. He said that he was inspired by him and wanted to be him some day. The other Peter said that he will train him to become the next Spider-Man along with his daughter to become the duo of Spider-Man and Spider-Girl…

And that is going to wrap up this fan fiction on what if Tobey Maguire’s Spider-Man was in the MCU. The Andrew Garfield version is coming up soon and he will be in Civil War and Endgame as adding Tobey for those films was really too dark and wasn’t the right story for this fan fiction. Now that it's been a week since I've seen DS2, I think I wanna write down some of my thoughts. It will probably get unnecessarily long, so I'll throw it under a cut.
To just give my overall thoughts: I really liked the movie. I don't think it is objectively one of the best MCU movies ever, but I don't objectively enjoy things, I subjectively enjoy them, and this was definitely a treat.
I really like Doctor Strange in this movie. I thought his first movie worked, but it did kinda feel like it was setting up a lot of his stuff for Infinity War, so I liked seeing something that seemed to be a bit more seperate from setting up all these other things. Though I do wish it would've given us a bit more of Doctor Strange struggling with or questioning his decisions he made with giving up the time stone. There were some hints at this with his former collegue mentioning losing his sibling for example. But I feel like we didn't go exactly as deep as I wanted them to with all of that.
I appreciated his relationship with America. America herself felt a bit damsel-in-distress-ish, so I hope in her future projects she gets a bit more agency, but it was a fine enough character introduction I guess. But to see our Stephen be the one to actually give America the faith she needed to do what needed to be done to overome Wanda. My personald theory of why this Stephen could do what no other Stephen could, is because he had Spider-Man. Of course he can't remember Peter Parker, but just like MJ still has the necklace she got from him, Stephen should still subconciously have the lessons he learnt from working with Peter. And we know that there was probably no Spider-Man in the other Stranges' universes where America had been, or at least none that were close to that world's Strange, because America had never heard of any Spider-Man before. So I think that our Stephen's experience with working with Peter in Infinity War and No Way Home, gave him more knowledge about how to treat America in the way she deserved.
When the trailers were coming out, I though (like many people) that the Strange from What If was going to show up. I'm happy that ended up not happening, because the movie was already pretty crowded. But I like that conceptually, that Strange still felt connected to this movie, since the arc he went through in that episode was pretty similar to the arc Wanda had in this movie; lose one or multiple loved ones, reach out to a dark source of magic to get them back, however, when they reach them, their loved one(s) don't recognize them anymore and don't want anything to do with Strange/Wanda anymore. It ties this movie to that show without being over-referential, and it also ties Stephen and Wanda to each other as characters.
Which brings me onto Wanda. My feelings about her are... complicated to say the least. I think Scarlet Witch was amazing as a villain, but part of me wonders if that could've felt even more satisfying if the build up to that could've been even longer. I know that the Darkhold corrupted her, just like it did Agatha and other universe's Strange, so it all made sense logically. But for me it didn't fully satisfy me emotionally, because it still felt like they took a bit of a shortcut. The Scarlet Witch could've been a fantastic villain for an Avengers team-up story, but now that she's been used as a villain in this movie that can't happen anymore (probably).
And maybe part of what frustrates me is that I've seen this happen too much with villains, especially with female villains. My two favorite Katie McGrath characters are Lena Luthor and Morgana Pendragon. But writingwise both of them suffer from starting out as an ally to the protagonist with a possibility to turn dark, but then have their turn happen really quickly and mostly off screen. And this movie feels like it did a similar thing, though to a lesser extent because WandaVision at least gave some context to what's going on.
However, like I said, Wanda as a villain was amazing and got me super hyped. I'm usually not a big fan of horror stuff, but I felt like this movie did a fun job playing around with some of the tropes without going too far to the point where I couldn't enjoy it anymore.
I guess my main gripe with the movie as a whole is that I feel it was so fast-paced that a lot of the emotional beats didn't really hit me as hard. And a lot of times, it wasn't until a few days after I watched the movie until I'd have the realizations about what certain things meant, or what the depths behind some things were. Such as how Doctor Strange was the one to give the time stone to Thanos, which then led to Wanda having to see Vision die twice in a matter of seconds. Or how Wanda wanting to be able to travel to any universe for any cure seems intense, but with the knowledge that anyone who Wanda has ever loved ended up dying, her wanting to take these extreme precautions does make a bit more sense. But by those thoughts not hitting me until after the movie was over, the movie didn't impact me as much while watching it a first time. Though maybe I should just go watch it again.

What I’m grieving most (other than everything else JJ and his moron brigade fucked up) is that we are never going to see Adam Driver as Ben Solo/Kylo Ren ever again. This was their last chance and they wasted it in the most offensive, disrespectful way possible. Adam is never going to touch Star Wars or probably any major franchise with a 10-foot barge pole after what they did and he is right to do so. Yet even with the crap they gave him, he remains the only good thing in this hacky cesspool.
This is yet another thing on the list of things which make it so painful, and no substitute will ever actually make up for this even if hoping for tie-in material weren’t much the same as asking someone who stole your money and punched you in the face if you can pay them to punch you a little less hard this time. (Again, leaving aside that they have murdered sw’s themes and raison d’etre in cold blood which is a bigger deal than any character death and I will not support them making more sw content ever again.)
There is nothing to compare to the fully realised character and Adam is an essential component of that. As much as I love fanfiction, it’s incredibly rare to find one where the author really manages to put across a complete picture that satisfies me and rings 100% true. He’s one of those characters that needs the performance because there’s so much contradiction and so much unspoken. You can write that in prose, it’s just difficult, you can’t fall back on your assumptions at all. You really have to think about him. Rian is a great writer (watch Knives Out), and even he fell a bit short of capturing Ben perfectly in the screenplay. It was the film where it came together. I talked about this before and compared it to Peter Capaldi playing Malcolm Tucker, but yeah.
This was the one chance to see how a healed Ben Should Be with the creative input of one of the people most essential in making him who he is (Adam Driver) and they have fucked it up. And the few minutes with no dialogue they actually did give him is the most tragically tantalising taste of how wonderful it would have been. He’s so absolutely beautiful, so everything you hoped he’d be, and you don’t get to enjoy it.
He says fucking ‘ow’. That’s it. And somehow him saying that is unbearably heart-warming because it somehow conveys he’s exactly like his father only more so and I hate that life is really this grim. I’m thinking now about my post on how they relentlessly pursued and begged an actor of this calibre to do this part, how they had to convince him they would take the character seriously because he wouldn’t do an empty hackjob role meant to commodify nostalgia and I’m just so fucking mad that’s exactly what it ended up being.

#okay so basically the most interactions they have in the mcu is in Thor 1 which is great because it establishes how abusive Asgard was#namely Odin#so we know Loki's been ignored and treated less as a kid and learnt not to ask questions when he had them#because kid loki opens his mouth to ask about how there can be 1 throne but both born for it and he CLOSES HIS MOUTH#because earlier he asked a question and ODIN IGNORED IT COMPLETELY#so we know 1. loki was smart and picked up on behavioral cues easily so he definitely had the emotional maturity to feel bad about that#and 2. odin's been doing this since he was a kid and favouring thor so the whole codependency really shines through (golden/dark child)#he also didn't tell loki what his own race was and lied about it??? in a racist society?? i don't even know what kind of abuse that is#psychological and physical i'd guess#that's a thousand years of memories that weren't good to begin with tainted with THAT trauma#thank you internalized-racism-that-odin-did-nothing-to-prevent#the iconic HUAERGH and other character's silencing Loki too (namely Thor) implies it's a common enough thing for Loki to be silenced/ignored#the entire vault scene was a mess#it basically shows that Odin... didn't care for Loki#even if we assume his wording was clumsy because he was tired or whatever other excuse they still lied to him for over 1000 years#and loki was already suicidal before the bifrost and odin KNOWS loki was doing everything to prove himself but all he says is... no???#like???????#okay#and the double standard is so real because when Thor and Odin did genocide/war/enslavement/established ruler-ship it's fine#but when loki does it (and not even ONE PERSON asked how he was or why he did it despite him being morally fine for millennia??)#suddenly it's a huge deal and there's a big fuss and loki's in isolation for life#no earth vacation for him or way to measure his worthiness through a trial#nope#everyone just gives up on him off the bat#frigga's gaslighting isn't mentioned because it aint odin but that's fine odin does enough verbal abuse in the sentencing scene instead#and the wack psychological deal of putting him in prison alone for that long and saying he wont get to see him mother??#not to mention whatever the &*^% Ragnarok tried to pull with odin 'acknowledging loki as his son' like??? b*tchboi?? apologize???#if anyone here needs to forgive the others and accept them as family it's Loki?? what was Odin on?? he's lucky Loki is selfless so it worked

request: hello! im the anon that read your one shot ‘you don’t know me’ and has formulated a request based on that! drukkari x daughter!reader maybe ? 😚 so, like your other one shot, she was a former widow, who was one of nat and yelena’s sisters in ohio. so after they take down the red room, she’s now on the run with nat, steve and sam when they get an unexpected call from tony, saying that it’s urgent. so when they get to the compound, the eternals are waiting there and they ask her to help stop the emergence (maybe it takes place a little earlier here), and they tell her that she’s their kid. and she and all the avengers start to get mad because, where the hell were they when she got trafficked into the red room and where the hell were they during other calamities and whatnot. that’s it. thank you. it’s quite similar to the plot of your other one shot, but i really liked it so. 🤷🏻♀️😍

Sitting beside Nat in that salvaged, kind-of borrowed Avengers jet that Mason got them, after all that fiasco with Ross and destroying the Red Room and Dreykov, feels like a fresh breath. Y/N feels like she could actually breathe for the first time in a while. She didn’t know for how long her breath was being held, exactly, but it was quite a while. And it felt good to get her lungs working again.
Reuniting with Steve was a relief as well—Y/N had learnt to trust the man. Maybe not yet with her life, but that kind of trust is on the way. He’s been supportive and not too invading towards her ever since she met him a few years ago that now feel already a much longer time. With Nat’s help and them both being in the same boat, the Avengers became Y/N's family as much as it did Nat’s. Course, she has her unstable made-up family of former Russian spies, but really—who’s to say the Avengers are any more stable than Melina, Alexei and Yelena? They’re just as broken up inside and now, on the outside, too.
It broke Y/N’s heart that her new-found family had fallen apart because of political reasons, and so quickly, too. She’d never expected this family to dissipate. She didn’t want to join either of the sides and tried to stay out of it all until she couldn’t anymore. She didn’t want to hurt any of her teammates, physically or emotionally. So, as a spy knows best how to, she hid away from her friends and public attention and reunited with Nat after half the team was put in prison.
And now that they have Steve back, now that the horror of the Red Room has been ended, they can break some of the team out of prison. Steve had a plan, and they stuck by it and everything went as smooth as butter. Only the team wasn’t intending on staying together. Clint said he didn’t want anything to do with this anymore—or at least for a while—and said he’ll lay low. Scott Lang was just grateful to be broken out of prison by the same man who asked for his help—he could barely shut up on the jet. Wanda wanted to be with Vision, and Sam said he had nowhere to go, really, except to stick with the team. Whatever’s left of them now, anyway.
So Y/N, Nat, Sam and Steve stayed together. On the run from the law and every known authority of the world, only having the used jet at their disposal, but they’ve made do of it for now. King T’Challa has been generous enough with his resources and technologies—the amount that the Avengers chose to take, that is, being as noble as they are—and so they’ve survived for the last few months on the run. It hasn’t felt any different to Y/N than her life was before. She was always running from something or someone, she just didn’t know if that was enemies, Dreykov or herself.
One thing she really wants to do with the time she’s given now is find her real, biological parents. Now that she’s found out that Alexei and Melina were just hoax-parents for a good cover, she knows her real ones are out in the world somewhere. At least Melina didn’t tell her they’d died, she sort-of dodged the question. Sadly, Y/N knows that Natasha’s mother was silenced by Dreykov quite a while ago already, and she hopes it’s not the same case for her own parents. She’s always wanted to know why she’s wrapped up by golden flicker-flames when she’s running, and why she can run and move faster than anyone she’s seen—even Nat—, and why her eyes glow a bright amber when her emotions are heightened. She’s been a mystery to herself and others since her broken childhood.
Y/N knows her parents are either magicians like Dr Strange, or they or she herself was experimented on when she was a child, like Wanda and her lost twin, or maybe her parents had extremely interesting abilities. Whoever or whatever they are, even with Nat’s knowledge and help, and with the jet’s never-ending database and search tools, they’re nowhere to be found. She’s tried a DNA test before, in Tony’s lab, but the results were inconclusive – that’s how he put it. Though Y/N wasn’t sure he was telling her everything at his disposal.
During their journey to another empty wasteland of the world with, hopefully, good views and some food, Sam, Steve, Natasha and Y/N receive a call to their jet’s communication system. They give each other strange glances, as this is a very much unexpected thing, especially during a time when they’re running from every- and anyone that knows how to contact them, and should definitely avoid calls. So they stay quiet and wait for the call to drop as they still look at each other and try to think of who could be calling. Only someone that has their communication system links. Wanda, Vision, Rhodes… No one else really.
“I know at least one of you is there,” a voice cuts through in the midst of the call still ringing, a voice they weren’t expecting at all, or at least were expecting the least of all. The team’s eyebrows and heads raise in surprise and they look at each other again, “come on, pick up! I know we’re… having a break-up at the moment, but I need your nomad opinion on something.” Tony speaks clear as day into their ears.
“Should we pick up?” Y/N looks to Nat with unsure eyes. She shrugs, and Y/N knows how Tony offended her the last time they spoke. She sighs courtly.
“Come on, I’m really having a crisis over here,” Tony almost whines, “there’s some weird people here that I don’t know if I can trust. Well, they look human, but I don’t think they are—but they say they know Y/N.” Her eyes grow to the size of dinner plates, and the trio look at her with shared confusion. “They say it’s very important… something about the end of our world…” Tony sighs, “just come. To the compound, please. You’re the only ones that can help.”
Silence settles upon the jet’s interior as every teammate thinks about what they should choose to do. Tony keeps quiet, uncharacteristically giving them some silence to make up their minds. Y/N just slumps into her seat. They say they know Y/N. Weird people. Could they know Y/N? How could they know her? No one knows her—hopefully—she doesn’t have any friends, any family. But wait—
“We’ll be there soon,” Steve picks up the call and answers Tony without consulting the others. But they don’t disagree with his view—if Tony says it’s urgent, it must be. No matter how pissed they are at him, or how upset he is with them. Some weird people at the compound… How did they get in in the first place? Why there? The end of the world? Steve looks at his team after hanging up that short call and sighs quietly, “let’s just see what’s going on over there. Decide the niceties and apologise later.” He huffs and walks to the captain’s corner of the plane.
The others agree in silence and settle in their seats. Sam, though, walks to their equipment room, thinking a fight might go down in the worst-case scenario. Natasha wants to do the same, but she sees how distraught and out-of-touch Y/N is, so she walks over and sits right next to her. “Who could they be—friends from our Ohio neighborhood?” She attempts a joke with a small smile playing on her lips as she looks at Y/N. She can only give her sister a half-smile back, and then she shakes her head.
“I have no idea,” she answers, “I don’t have any friends. And what Tony said about them…” she shakes her head again, “they look human, but he doesn’t think they are… what in the hell?” Y/N rubs her hands over her face, her elbows now rested atop her knees as she’s leaned forward with the top portion of her body. She glances at Nat over her shoulder. “Are you sure that was all of the Red Room that we destroyed?” Her eyes hold genuine worry. “I mean… what if it’s them again?”
Natasha’s heart breaks at Y/N’s words, even though she’s voiced the small fear that’s been festering inside Nat for these past months, too, she just doesn’t want to admit it. Natasha moves her hand comfortingly along Y/N’s back and Y/N immediately leans upward and into Nat’s hold, where she wraps her arms around the younger girl, embracing her sweetly. “I’m sure,” she says, “of course, there are still conditioned widows around the world, but if that was them coming after us, Tony wouldn’t be making the call.” Natasha elaborates. “There’d be no one alive at the compound. You know that. You know how we used to work.”
Y/N nods. “Then I really don’t know who it could be,” she says, “I mean, if my parents left me or if I was taken from them and my name got changed, how would they even know where to look for me? How would they know how I look or-or what’ s my name? I doubt it’s them.”
“You have told me you think they might be… not entirely human,” Natasha points out, “what with your glowing eyes and really fast running. You could even outrun Pietro.” She says and utters a quiet laugh. Y/N smiles to that and nods. “Neither of that could have come out of the Red Room. Those weird things you inherited.” Y/N sighs and then sits up straight against the wall, making Nat’s hands fall into her lap as they now sit side by side. Natasha moves Y/N’s hair strands away from her face, and still notes the far-away look in the girl’s eyes. “Want me to do your hair before we land?” She suggests, knowing something that always manages to make her feel better. Y/N turns her head to see Nat and then nods with her head, a soft smile now on her lips. Natasha smiles wider, “okay, let’s go to the bathroom, the lighting’s the best there.” She stands up and extends her hand toward Y/N, who gladly takes it and rises with her.
As they sit in the jet’s bathroom, facing themselves in the mirror, the old lullaby comes into Natasha’s mind. She starts humming it as her fingers thread through Y/N’s hair, grouping strands up and then forming them into beautiful braids around her head. Natasha thinks of Yelena as she starts making the hairstyle, she tries to replicate the hairstyle Yelena had during their Red Room mission. She misses Yelena, and no doubt Y/N misses her, too. She begins to sing to Natasha’s humming, it now serves as the setting tone for the song.
“Сияай прощальный свет,” Y/N sings, “тот свет любви последней.”
Natasha smiles and decides to sing, too. “Полнеба обхватила зари вечерней тень.”
“Лишь там на западе бродит сияние,” they sing together and smiles adorn both their beautiful faces. The girls’ eyes connect in the mirror’s reflection and sisterly love for each other passes through them simultaneously. “Последная любовь...” Y/N wraps her arms around Natasha’s waist and locks them there, and Natasha grins, knowing how much Y/N adores physical touch and how it’s her love language. Platonic love language for sure, romantic – she’s yet to find that out. Perhaps it will be different once she meets someone she has romantic feelings towards.
“We’re landing!” Sam’s voice comes from the hall and the girls tense up a bit, Natasha having to finish the braids in a rush now.
“Just coming!” Y/N lets Sam know as Nat hurriedly braids the very ends of her hair and tucks them with pins into a crown around Y/N’s head. The hairstyle looks just like Yelena’s, and Y/N notices that, “thanks. I love this.” She tells Nat and gives her a quick side hug before they’re rushing out of the bathroom for the equipment room, where their combat-ready suits lay for them to wear.
The four nomad Avengers stand by the windows as they land on autopilot, and they see Tony standing in full armour in the corner of the landing field, just by the entrance door to the compound. Part of Y/N suspects that Tony just wants to lure them into the hands of authorities with this distress call, and, knowing him, that might be the case. After what Tony did to Steve’s best friend, and how he immediately treated Steve and everyone else like an enemy because of a disagreement, Y/N doesn’t trust the man very much. And what Nat said he’d told her right before she disappeared off the radar, Y/N doesn’t like him very much, either.
The team makes their way out of the jet silently and cautiously, though still trying to keep up with the intimidating nature they know they possess effortlessly. It’s only Tony, but it might not be. He knows what these four are capable of, they have no reason to intimidate him more. And yet, because of what’s happened between them, Tony knows they might not like him or trust him now. But he also knows that this matter exceeds any quarrels or their personal relationships. As the strange visitors put it, they have less than two days to save the entire planet Earth.
Tony takes off his head cover as the team of four near him, and the look of worry is the clearest look of all on his face. Sure, there’s doubt and fear, but worry has the brightest colour. Steve is the most forward one of the four, stepping closer to Tony than anyone else. The other three just give him doubtful and paranoid looks. Mistrust. Tony sighs, knowing he deserves it, but shakes Steve’s hand. “Cap,” he says with a nod, looking into the man’s eyes, “good to see you. Thought I might never have that chance again.”
Steve gives him the ghost of a smile. A lot is on the man’s shoulders, a lot has happened between him and Tony, but he still maintains a bright attitude and his usual kind nature. He just does so effortlessly. “Thought you’d never want to see me again,” Steve admits, and Tony chuckles to that sadly, “look, I’ll be honest here—none of us know if we can trust you.”
“I know, I know,” Tony nods, looking the others and their stares of mistrust over again, “hey, guys.” He raises a hand in greeting to them, but only Sam returns it. The women aren’t fond of him—not the first time in his life, but definitely one of the first—and so Tony settles back. “I won’t tell anyone you were here – I promise. Cross my heart and hope to die.” He puts a hand over his iron chest. Y/N sighs.
“We’ll get out before they come, anyway,” Natasha tells him, a glint of mischief in her eyes and voice. Y/N grins to that, knowing Nat is right. Tony smiles, realising that same thing.
“Where’s the trouble?” Steve inquires.
“Oh, you mean our humanoid guests?” Tony clarifies. Truth be told, he’d forgot about them entirely from the moment he saw Steve and the others. “They’re inside, let’s go.” He turns his back to the team of four and leads them inside. Natasha and Y/N still exchange looks of mistrust between themselves, but follow along. Tony leads them across the upper level of weapons and experiment halls and rooms, and Y/N and the others can see the group of people Tony mentioned in the great hall below, on level one. There’s… eight of them. Too many at first glance, but Y/N isn’t close enough yet to see what they look like and if she could know them. She doubts she does.
As the team descends the stairs to below, Tony steps back and only restarts walking down once he’s side by side with Y/N. She gives him a half paranoid, half angry glance, but makes no protest. “They said they knew me?” She asks him quietly and Tony nods.
“That’s why I plan on introducing you first.” He admits and Y/N raises her eyebrows. She hates open and public attention on herself, but this could be something important, so she guesses that Tony has made the right decision. The group of five reach the floor of level one and face the group of eight in front of them. These people have strange clothes on, Y/N notes that first of all, and each have their own colours. They really do look human. “Come on,” Tony gently nods with his head towards the left tail of the group, and Y/N walks over there by his side. “This is Y/N. You said you know her.” Tony says to two people standing in an embrace with each other. Their faces turn towards Y/N, looks of worry and fear filling their eyes, as well as tears.
By seeing the woman’s face, Y/N gets a strong feeling of deja-vu. Though not really deja-vu, more like familiarity and… recognition. But she just looks at the couple with wide, confused eyes. They don’t look much older than herself. Who are they? Why are they looking at me like this? “How do you know me?” She inquires in a quiet, but sure voice. Her arms are crossed over her chest in a pretzel to avoid picking at her fingers and therefore showing a clear sign of anxiety. This could all very well be just a circus act, and they could have SWAT clothes and equipment under all those weird robes.
“Well, there’s no easy way to say this, but,” the man starts to say, and he chews on his lip in clear anxiety, “I’m Druig. And this is Makkari,” he looks down to the woman in his arms, and she signs words with her hands. What surprises Y/N the most is that she immediately knows what the woman is saying. Hello, Y/N. She looks at her with confused eyes still, but then finds her hands signing a greeting towards Makkari, too. That surprises her even more. The man Druig smiles sadly, Y/N notices, at that gesture, “and we’re your parents.”
Now that sets her a couple steps back. Her head gets dizzy and she grabs onto the first thing closest to her, which happens to be Tony in his iron suit. He holds the woman and helps her steady herself. Tony looks at her to see what’s going on emotion-wise, and sees her eyes starting to glow a bright gold. That shocks the acclaimed parents, too, they each let out a gasp. Y/N looks at them once she’s steady enough again, and her stare is just fury. She doesn’t yet know why she’s angry. “How can that be?” She asks as she’s still in her state of disbelief, but she’s tipping over already. “Prove it.”
Druig sighs, his face nothing but sadness. Then he looks at her, and Y/N sees his blue eyes turned to the gold orbs she very well recognises every day in the mirror. And suddenly, in her mind it seems, she sees the man Druig with the woman Makkari, dressed differently though looking the same age as they do now, standing with a tiny ball of wrapped up clothes in their hands before a building stretching tall into the sky, its entrance door large, high and intimidating.
It seems they are to make a choice. And though it very visibly breaks their heart to do so, they make it. They leave the tiny ball right in front of the door, and with a closer look Y/N sees through Druig’s eyes that the tiny ball is just a tiny baby. Without asking she knows that it’s her, herself, wrapped up in clothes and fabrics to be protected from the outside weather. And now that she takes in how the building looks, she recognises it. The orphanage. The one she grew up in, and was later stolen from.
She doesn’t know how she saw those short moments, but as she blinks her eyes open, they’re gone and she’s seeing Druig and Makkari in front of her again, clear as day, in the here and now. Y/N doesn’t know what to think, what to believe, what to feel. If they really are her parents, then who are they, why did they leave her in the orphanage, where have they been all this time, do they know what happened to Y/N after they left her there? She finally looks into their eyes again.
“Who are you?” She manages to push out amidst all the other questions she wants to ask. She stands side by side with Tony now, but she knows her nomad group is close by, because she heard their footsteps coming closer.
“We’re Eternals,” Druig says, “we’ve been on Earth ever since its creation, watching over humanity and protecting them from certain… dangerous creatures.” He says not very convincingly, though Y/N can tell he’s telling the truth. “Though now it turns out to have just been a mission to collect as much human life as is needed for the planet to be destroyed. We’ve been fooled by our superior all this time, and we need your help.”
“See?” Tony whispers. “Told you it’s about the end of the world.” Y/N just gives him a glance before crossing her arms over her chest and looking suspiciously at Makkari and Druig.
My help? “Wait, so,” Y/N starts to say to get everything clearer, “you’ve been here for seven thousand years.” She says. “You’re seven thousand years old.” She states and the couple nods. “And apparently, you have magical powers. All of you, right?” Y/N looks around at the rest of the group of strangers, and they nod. That would explain why she herself has these weird abilities. She can’t believe this. “So…” she utters a dry chuckle, “why are you here now?” She looks back at Druig and Makkari. “Why are you here? Just to say hi? To tell us the world is ending while you haven’t helped in the least all the other times it was coming to an end?”
She didn’t expect anything more than she gets – the whole group being silent. “Yeah, we could have used your help against Loki and the aliens in New York.” Tony backs Y/N up, feeling frustrated by the news he’s received, as well.
“Or against Nazis in the 1940s.” Steve points out, his hand supportively resting on Y/N's shoulder. Makkari and Druig both see how this family—from afar not looking like one at all—Y/N has found is so protective over her.
“Or against Dreykov and his network of widows, who are girls trained to be assassins from a small age?” Y/N says and her voice reeks of disgust. Tears pool her eyes. “If you’re really my parents, why did you leave me at that place? Do you have any idea what happened to me?” Her lip begins to quiver and her voice shakes. She can’t keep her anger locked away anymore. “Why have you stood by all this time and just watched, knowing everything that happens in the world? Genocide, death, wars, little girls turned into assassins, people turned into monsters, thousands and millions of lives lost to pointless wars and disagreements?”
The desperate cries and voices of people under the rubble both in New York and Sokovia still ring in her ears as Y/N watches Druig and Makkari’s faces for any kind of answer. But she only sees sadness, regret, resentment towards themselves and their decisions. They’re folding into themselves because of this rightful outlash of a reaction, and it seems a part of them anticipated this kind of attitude from Y/N. They both know they did wrong, and have pulled themselves back from intervening in human affairs all this time. And they have many reasons for that, they just… want to let Y/N take her anger out. It feels better, it always does, even if it’s on them this time.
“I can’t do this,” Y/N raises her hands up in defeat, her eyes still glowing bright gold in her anguish, and she turns around and stomps away before anyone can say a word to her. Natasha gives her supposed parents a short glance that says much more than words would, and walks after Y/N. She affectionately lays her arm around Y/N’s shoulders and pulls her into a side embrace as they continue to walk further away from the group, into the depths of the Avengers compound. Hand in hand. Sisters.

how is s*ylvie not a mary sue?
I have been waiting YEARS for this question. (Well not years because Loki only came out (😉) like mere months ago, but you know what I mean).
To start off here's a definition of a "Mary Sue" so we are all on the same page.
Mary Sue: A Mary Sue is a type of fictional character, usually a young woman, who is portrayed as unrealistically free of weaknesses.
Now, the reason I was so excited to finally get a chance to answer this is because when there's a character I really love, the only thing I love to talk about more than their strengths is their flaws and weaknesses.
Because ALL good characters have them, and, to me, they just add to the loveability of the character. And Sylvie, despite what many people are saying, is certainly not an exception.
One of the first flaws we notice about Sylvie is actually shown before we fully meet her. She is shown about twice in her first three main scenes that she is not the best strategist.
Although Sylvie is well versed in quick decision-making from her life on the run, she is still quite prone to errors in judgment. She gave the little French child a piece of candy which was a HUGE clue to her hideout which, ultimately, lead Loki and TVA to Roxxcart.
Sylvie would have known that the TVA would have searched the cathedral after she attacked that group of minutemen, and thus, would have easily found the child and the obviously period-inaccurate sweets.
The only thing I can think of to explain her actions was that the child caught her in the act, she worried they would spill the beans, gave the child candy to shut it up. A quick decision that didn't end up working in her favour.
Sylvie's poor strategies and planning are also shown WHEN SHE CLEARLY DIDN'T CHARGE HER TEMPAD FOR HER YEARS-IN-THE-MAKING-PLAN.
It's possible that the TemPad was only charged for the amount of trips Sylvie thought she would need. Hence, only one more trip out of the TVA after killing the Time Keepers. But even if this was the case, it shows an incredible lack of preparation on her part if things did go awry.
This is one of the most interesting things about Sylvie that I really love; she seems to genuinely lack good strategist and sly behaviour. This hugely sets Sylvie apart from the most recognizable trait of our original Loki.
Apart from the finale, she is rarely deceptive when trying to achieve her goals. She doesn't ever try to pretend to be on the TVA's side, or charm her way in, or disguise herself as a minuteman.
No. Instead, she goes for the classic warrior approach; distract the enemy, and then use brute force to get to the Time Keeper's chamber and kill them.
TALK about under-prepared; homegirl legit at the time of her attack didn't even know that her powers were useless inside the TVA.
I think Loki puts it perfectly:
Sylvie isn't a good strategist. At least, not to the same extent Loki is. She's a fighter and often relies solely on physical skills to achieve her goals, often to her failure.
From this, we can deduct that Sylvie is impatient, reckless to a fault, and, often, idealistic about how her plans should work out. despite obviously not putting too much thought into them im sorry sylvie i love you but not knowing your magic wouldn't work in the tva is something i cant forgive.
These qualities (impatient, reckless, and idealistic) also weave themselves into her fighting style. I firstly want to be clear that I LOVE SYLVIE'S FIGHTING STYLE. Seriously, it's one of my favourite things about her.
Sylvie's a brawler, which is a product of obviously never being professionally trained like almost all our other MCU characters. What she knows, she's learnt on the street, her own personal battlefield.
However, a flaw of this is that she's is not as swift and quick on her feet as other character's like Loki.

Both gifs above picture moments in this six-episode show where Sylvie uses her full body towards this one move. These moves leave her horrendously open to her opponents' advances, which ultimately leads to her being briefly overpowered in each fight.
The last point I'll make is, admittedly, a little bit of a sneaky cheat as I mention one of Sylvie's strengths, her perceptiveness, but I love this parallel so much I couldn't not include it.
So we all remember the kiss scene. Sylvie used Loki's emotions as a distraction so that she can get the upper hand in the fight. (Clarification: I do not believe the kiss was meaningless to Sylvie but I do also believe that one of the intentions with the kiss was for it to be used as a distraction.)
The thing is, how did Sylvie know that this would work on Loki? She's already known him to be incredibly aware of his surroundings and virtually impossible to trick.
The answer: she knows he's a Loki. And she knows she's a Loki. She knows that Lokis have a tendency to get easily distracted by their emotions which can cause them to lose focus of their surrounding.
How does she know that? Because it's happened to her before.
It's canon, Sylvie knew the kiss would distract Loki because she knew he would feel the same way she felt when he comforted her in the Time-Keepers' chamber which thus made her blissfully unaware of Ravonna approaching.
All in all, Sylvie does have beautiful flaws and we love her for it, thank you for coming to my Ted Talk.

Maneater (Pietro Maximoff x reader)
Summary: You’ve been called back to help the Avengers and you’re already quite familiar with their new recruits.

You swan into the room, sunglasses perched on the tip of your nose and red lips twitching into a smile as heads snap in your direction. Whispers carry across to you; even SHIELD agents love to gossip.
It’s good to see that your reputation precedes you.
You spare them no attention, unsure whether you’d see fear, disgust, or admiration in their eyes. Perhaps you were even afraid of what they thought of you. But you’d learnt too quickly not to care about other people’s opinions; it would only drag you down.
Your heels clack against the metal as you turn to face the doors of the elevator, inwardly relieved that you were the only one getting on. You raised a hand, wiggling your fingers at the eyes staring at you, watching them flush in embarrassment and turn away. Shiny steel cuts off any further enjoyment you might get from seeing them squirm under your gaze and you sigh, allowing your eyes to meet those of your reflection. You sure as hell looked good.
The elevator dings as it arrives, doors sliding open soundlessly and you roll your shoulders back. Time to face the beast.
The meeting room door has been left slightly ajar for you and you think about just slipping in and seeing how long it takes for them to notice you. But that’s a little too boring for your taste; they called you back, might as well make it hell. You tap at your phone, cocking your head as you hear the song start to play. There’s a muffled noise of confusion, and you take that as your cue.
Everybody look at me, me
I walk in the door, you start screaming
Tony rolls his eyes at you, stifling a smirk and you wink. He’s probably the only person in the room that you’ll be getting along with, considering your shared previous history with the team. Well, considering Barton is already clutching at his arrows and Rogers is close to frothing at the mouth, you weren’t exactly wrong.
“I heard you need my help.” You prop the sunglasses on your head, letting your eyes scan the room. Ooh, newbies. Or… not so newbies. “Wanda and Pietro Maximoff. Never thought I’d see you two again.”
Pietro grins, that easy smirk appearing on his face and you find it hard to hide your own. “Don’t pretend you didn’t miss us, printesa.”
You held a soft spot for the speedster, although you’d never let the others know. It had only been a year, trapped in that dingy HYDRA base in Sokovia to gather intel, but the two of you had gotten on like a house on fire. You knew each other in and out, in more ways than one.
You and his sister? Well, that was a very different story.
“I think that that year was long enough to put anyone off your company,” you drawl, lips twitching into a smile as he mocks offence. Wanda, on the other hand, is not so amused, and her death glare almost makes you shiver. Almost, because you’ve dealt with what she’s threatened before.
Maneater, make you work hard

“Rogers, Barton, Romanoff, Banner, Thor, good to see all of you again.” Each wince in turn as you say their name and you really have to fight a laugh at that. “Stark, I’d extend the same sentiment to you, but I saw you last week and really it should only be an annual thing.”
You omit the fact that you only saw him because he had FRIDAY hunt you down and then threatened to break into your apartment to let you in. Not only because it detracted from the whole I-want-to-be-here-so-I-can-ruin-your-lives vibe you had going on, but also because you were sure that SHIELD would be very interested in knowing how he found you before them.
Stark flips you off, sipping his coffee as he watches the others fidget. He’s loving every minute of this.
“It’s good to see you too,” Romanoff eventually grits out, the others following up with grunts of agreement. You’d think that for a super spy she’d be better at hiding her true feelings, but the death stare she sends you tells you everything.
You smile, this one genuine as you try to get rid of the giggles threatening to break free as they progressively look more and more uncomfortable. “Oh, who’s the red guy?”
“That’s Vision.” Rogers’ tone is bitter as he clenches his paperwork. The sheets are crumpled in his grip, surprising considering how spotless he usually likes things. Once, you handed in a report that, although creased, was completely legible and he had made you rewrite it. And threatened to spank you when you protested.

The song is still playing in the background and you love the way the tension in the room seems to increase with every note. It’s one of your favourites, especially since an ex had told you it reminded him of you and hadn’t meant that as a compliment. You had taken it as one though.
Barton is the first to snap. “FRIDAY, stop the music.”
You pout, noting that despite his apparent hatred for you, Rogers’ eyes still zero in on your lips. Wow, you’d really done a number on the poor guy if he still wasn’t over you, or maybe you’d just been the first in a really long time so he couldn’t quite forget it yet. For all you know, he might’ve been a 100-year-old virgin before you came along; you hadn’t bothered checking.
“So, you already know two of our new recruits. Care to explain how?” Rogers can’t hide his curiosity, and you already know that your answer would not be what he was looking for.
“Classified.” The anger spreading across his body is indescribable. If you thought he was irate before, now is a whole new level. Is he shaking?
“She’s HYDRA,” Wanda announces to the room and you snigger.
“God, I’d be so brave swanning into a SHIELD institute if I were a HYDRA agent. No, fortunately for you, I simply met the Maximoff twins whilst undercover in a HYDRA facility.”
Stark raises an eyebrow, asking for more of an explanation, and you shake your head. Not now. You note the witch taking an interest in whatever friendship you seem to have with him, and you can practically see the cogs turning in her head. She must be thinking how perfect it would be if she could push you away from her brother and to the man she still hates, thus allowing her to destroy both of you. Sure, these thoughts could just be paranoia on your behalf, but it was always better to be prepared for something worse than what is coming.
“Anyway,” you slip into the seat Pietro has pulled out for you, “what do you need me for?”
His hand settles on your thigh and Wanda stiffens, hating how close you were to him. You rub your thumb against the back of his hand, fighting the urge to curl into him again. You weren’t in private yet.
“We need you to do what you’re best at. And we need your connections.” Rogers waves a hand, images lighting up on the wall behind him. Two faces pop up that you recognise; Louis and Anthony Lombardo. Leaders of the Maggia. You’d never had the misfortune of being introduced to them, but you suspect that is about to change. “We know you have an in into these circles.”
You nod. “I’ll talk to Manfredi, see if he’s had any recent dealings with the brothers. Stark or Rogers, I need you to come with me, he’ll be much more open to talking to you two than anyone else. Well, he won’t kill you on sight.”
“Why?” Rogers is surprised, that is evident in the sudden lack of tension in his body. You hope he isn’t taking it the wrong way, especially as Pietro’s hand slides further up your thigh. You swallow.
You place yours on top of Pietro’s, pinning it to your leg to ensure that he was remaining professional. “He greatly respected Peggy Carter and he and Howard go way back.”
“And you understand what you must do when you come in contact with the brothers?” Barton fiddles with the tip of his arrow; eyes narrowed on you.
“Yes. Seduce, get information, escape.” You’re so bored of repeating this mantra, feeling like you are back at SHIELD in front of Fury again. You had loved your job but you sure didn’t miss it.
Pietro’s hand drops off your leg and you wince, missing the warmth. He’s avoiding your gaze as you glance up at him, and his jaw ticks. Oh God.
“Excellent. Well, Y/L/N, inform us of when you, Rogers and Stark will be visiting Manfredi, and I think we can call it a day.” Romanoff kicks her legs off the table and gets to her feet. Murmurs of agreement fill the room, and you can’t deny your relief at escaping the tension.
As you follow the team out, you leave enough of a distance so that none of them would approach you for a conversation (although you doubt they would want to). You simply don’t have the energy to deal with them.
Hard wall is against your back in seconds as everything flashes around you. The world swims back into focus, your attention focused on the hand on your chin and the hard body pressed against your own. Heat pools at the base of your stomach, butterflies flitting gently.
“Was I a target to you?” Pietro bites out, fingers digging ever so slightly into your skin. His blue eyes are icy, but you can’t help but melt into his touch. You haven’t been this close to him in far too long and his soft pink lips are temptingly close.
You drag your gaze away, making eye contact and hoping he can see the sincerity. “Never.”
And just like that he lets go of any hesitation and kisses you, lips moulding to yours. It’s like the two of you click together, two puzzle pieces fitting perfectly together. And you can’t believe how much you’ve missed this.

Forgiveness
I've been travelling a lot recently (work and holidays) and I'm swamped at work so I took a hiatus from here (I was watching things but I was to tired to write about them) but the Moon Knight ended and I have thoughts.
I suspected it for a while but it became clear last episode that just like WandaVision was about love and grief this show was about forgiveness and self-worth.
The whole story was framed by two deities who judge people for their sins and judge them harshly. They represent justice and retribution - in Khonsu's case for the past deeds only but in Ammit's both for sins past and future. And this leads to a pretty cool dual confrontation between both the gods and their avatars. I think it was one of better final showdowns of MCU (especially for the TV side), especially the Kaiju god version but that part was really a fun distraction from the main thing.
After all the real judgment that matter was that on Marc Spector and the judging wasn't done by any god (not even Taweret using Anubis' scales) - it was by Marc himself. The same abuse that lead to his DID is one that left him feeling unworthy.
His mother blamed him for the death of his brother and his father was not really stopping any of it - just explaining her behaviour and so justifying it. Marc would've blamed himself in the best circumstances but in these he could never think of himself as anything but worthless. So he made Steven Grant - based on his childhood hero and connection to his brother and better life - to be worthy. The kind of person he would want to be - dutiful, nice and therefore loved - and retreated to him when things got too hard. And when his mother died and he realised he will never receive forgiveness he just let Steven be the one living the real life since he had one free of the guilt.
But he couldn’t just retreat completely. The weight of guilt has already trapped him in servitude to Khonsu. It was another case of failure to save people - he couldn’t stop the archaeologists get murdered - and this time the guilt almost made him commit suicide. And at this low moment he was taken advantage of under a guise of being saved. Still, even being injected with someone else’s purpose could only last so long.
Because his mother dies and Steven judges him and finally Layla learns about this failure and she blames him. She’s sad and angry because he lied about her father’s death and she feels used and she is right but it only confirms Mark’s belief about being unworthy - both of love and life. And then he just doesn’t have the strength to fight any more. He just stands there and lets Harrow shoot him and it’s not that different from suicide.
And then he's ready to let his ghosts drag him to Duat because he feels he deserves it. Deep down it feels like he deserved it all - his mother's abuse, Khonsu using him, and now being judged unworthy. This what he has been taught for so long. This was Harrow was using to break him by turning people around him against him. It's clearly his heart that's dragging them all down. It's all his own fault.
It takes Steven to show him different by fighting for him. Steven who judged him unworthy since he learnt about Marc. Who is the normal, moral person and can't justify the violence that Marc commits even for justice. The worthy part of their system.
Because Steven is also compassion and understanding. Justice is not be all end all. At least not the revenge based one. This is the lesson that made Malazan Books of the Fallen so cathartic and this show is not that - six episodes of a TV show cannot measure to 10 pretty big books - but it's the same message.
Steven can look at the abuse, at the bargain with Khonsu and even at RoRo's death and see them for what they really are. He sees what Marc's guilt cannot let him to see. He was used and abused - but he still matters. And he is worth fighting for. And Steven tells him that but words can barely make a difference when you've believed in lies for so long. It takes action and sacrifice. And it takes actually getting to paradise for Marc to believe it.
Marc gets to the Field of Reeds because Steven believed he was worth fighting for. That he was worthy of getting there. And then Marc can show Steven was right when he goes back to him.
I wrote multiple time in The Good Place threads how I think people in Paradise can never bee truly good when they let others being condemned to hell because knowingly leaving others to suffer is evil so I'll skip the details now as this is already too long. But it felt so good when Marc went back for Steven. This is true redemption - because Steven might've been another one Marc failed to save but he didn't stop trying and that what matters. Humans are fallible and all we can do is try our best and Marc has shown to us, gods and Steven but most importantly to himself that he tries to do his best.
And with his best and the people who love and support him he can save the world. And find freedom form the guilt that was destroying him. He can finally forgive himself.
But then there is Jake. Of course Steven wasn't the only defence mechanism. Steven was what Marc wanted to be but Jake was what kept them alive. When the abuse got to hard for even Marc to handle Jake would take care of it. And whoever stood in Jake's way clearly deserved what they got. Because justice must be served and anyone standing in the way is guilty by association.
The three personalities represent the three ways of justice - Steven is compassion, Marc is redemption but Jake, Jake is retribution. The old gods' kind of justice. No wonder he and Khonsu are friends.

Imagine IronFrost together already before IM1. Loki's reaction to kidnapping, being Iron Man and Palladium poisoning and then Thor 1 so they got separated then Avengers and then Thor 2 and then in IM3 Tony thought Loki died but at the end of IM3 Loki reveal himself to Tony. Loki being there in AoU (Loki being mad about Wanda's intrusive magic and helped Tony) and rescuing Tony in Siberia in CW and then Ragnarok where Stephen and Loki met/flirt and then IW. Tony and Stephen met and Tony learnt about Loki's death at the hand of Thanos and he's feeling protective of Stephen because he said that he met Loki. Then in EG Tony got Stephen and Loki back so when he snapped, Loki and Stephen's magic saved him. And then they started hanging out together and then them falling in love with each other ❤💙💚
(This is heavily inspired by Murdermuffinloki's fanart where Loki saved Tony when Thor strangled him in AoU)
