modern headcanons | highschool edition

⋆✮↪ neteyam, lo’ak, kiri, ao’nung, and tsireya

neteyam

he always walks you to class. he loves company, especially yours. neteyam would go the extra mile by carrying your bag or holding your stuff. and he’s so humble about it! he doesn’t even think that it’s something you should thank him for. to neteyam, it’s just the standard. he once told you that most of his childhood was spent with his mother and grandmother, two women in his life who really care about manners.

he packs extra lunch for you. neteyam is the type of guy to bring an extra lunch box just for you. if you’re not hungry or you brought your own lunch, he’ll insist you take it home. you don’t know what you did to deserve him. he would experiment with different cuisines and sneak in little notes that make you swoon. sometimes, you return the favor. when you pack his favorites, like steamed fish or grilled meat, he loses his mind. everyone finds your relationship sickeningly sweet.

lo’ak

he probably vaped at least once. he’s the type of guy to give into peer pressure. if someone offered him a blue razz ice elfbar at a party, he would try it without thinking twice. much to your surprise, lo’ak didn’t really get into it. he likes to brag about it though, especially to ao’nung. you scold him when he does. part of the reason why he tries to stay away from that stuff is because of you. he knows that you don’t like it when he jeopardizes his health, so he makes an honest effort to be mindful of his decisions.

he skips class. a lot. honestly, you’ve lost count of how many times he’s offered to “walk you to class” and lead you in the opposite direction. you guys usually stay on campus, like maybe in the janitor’s closet or under the gym bleachers. when you guys aren’t, though, you’re usually running off to a local gas station or even the mall. it really just depends on the class period. lo’ak isn’t exactly the best influence on you.

kiri

her favorite class is biology. it’s just the closest thing she could get to botany as a high schooler. kiri is interested in all things related to plants, to the extent that she started a club dedicated to maintaining the school garden. she doesn’t have any leadership positions like tsireya, though, but she likes it that way. kiri doesn’t want to feel the pressure of dealing with other people. she also doesn’t have the mental strength to be constantly reminded of the fact that global warming exists.

she skips class occasionally. you’re always surprised at how rebellious she’s capable of being. unlike lo’ak, she doesn’t stay on campus. she’s out the door when she gets the chance. instead of staying at places like the mall, though, kiri stays at the local park. it’s where she gets most of her work done. she usually doesn’t drag you with her against your will, because she understands that the risk isn’t always worth it. you’ve never said no to her, though.

ao’nung

he plays close-contact and collision sports. remember when he tackled lo’ak in that one fight scene? yeah. ao’nung would channel that energy into sports like basketball, rugby, and even wrestling. ao’nung isn’t a team captain or anything. that’s way too much commitment, but he does have the most influence. because he earns titles like “player of the game” or “star player,” ao’nung knows how to get sponsors for trips. you hate how it gets in his big head.

he sits behind you in every single class you have together. ao’nung finds it more convenient to talk to you this way. if there’s assigned seating, he’ll bribe, beg, or do literally anything else to sit behind you. it gets him in trouble most of the time, but it’s worth the effort. if it does work, though, ao’nung likes to braid small pieces of your hair or pass notes during class. your classmates give you two funny looks, but they never say anything about it. courtesy of ao’nung.

tsireya

she’s the captain of the swim team. she’s a natural in the water. she’s also very good at raising team morale, so there’s really no other person fit for captain. you always attend her swim meets and cheer her on as much as possible. if you’re being honest, she doesn’t really need it since she crushes the competition every single time. she literally brings home gold every single year. your school will literally never find another swimmer as talented as her.

she’s the head of the house and grounds committee. tsireya would be an environmental activist. she’s got a big heart. she spearheads all activities related to the environment in your school and even started a conservation charity. you have no idea how this girl manages all of that on top of sports and school work. it does get in the way of your quality time with her, but it makes her happy so you don’t complain.

When you noticed how different you and Neteyam’s tail were, you couldn’t not mess with it.

When Neteyam isn’t paying attention to his surroundings, you sneak up behind him, grab his tail and tickle his cheek with the fur at the end. Neteyam would always jump and his tail would literally go rigid. You poke it all the time whenever it goes still like that.

You tugged on his tail before. It was really uncalled for. It was curled up, it looked like a drooping flower and you were just curious about what would happen if you pulled it. So you did. Neteyam yelped, quickly turning to look behind him. His teeth were bared out and ears were drawn back. His expression fell when he noticed it was you. “Why did you pull on my tail?” His tail was tucked in between his legs. “It was calling out for me.” You say. He was so quick with it that you didn’t notice he was behind you until he pulled on your tail. You jumped forward, hands protectively coming to cover your tail. “Why did you pull my tail?” Now it was your turn to ask. Neteyam smiled at you, shrugging. “It was calling out for me.” He mocked.

His tail curls around you. You could be resting on Neteyam’s shoulder, seconds away from falling asleep, suddenly you feel something tickle your thigh. Looking down, it’s Neteyam’s tail curling around you. It occasionally moves too, maybe moving inwards or outwards. But it’s so cute to see and Neteyam doesn’t even notice his tail is doing that.

One thing that he does is wrapping his tail on your waist. You and Neteyam could be talking to someone together and randomly, you’ll feel his tail snake around your waist and tug you closer. You look over to him and Neteyam is smugly smiling at you.

“Your tail is so cool,” You tell him, eyes following it’s every movement. “Thank you.” He gets shy under your praise and you can tell because his tail went still when you complimented him. He has never been told that his tail looked cool, but now since he’s had, he wants to hear more coming from you.

Needless to say, you love his tail and you find great joy messing with it and he loves messing with you with his tail.

✰ Kiri

The same way you're fascinated by her tail, she's fascinated with yours.

You love pretending to dust off your face with her tail. She always looks at you weirdly for it but you just love how it tickles your face.

Same thing with Neteyam, you pull on her tail. But instead of asking you why you pulled her tail, she declares war and grabs yours. You and her are caught running around the beach, trying to pull each other’s tails. It always ends up with you or her toppling each other down to the floor, the person who’s pinned to the floor wins because they have access to the other one's tail.

Huffing out, you look down to see Kiri smirking at you. Her hand is nowhere to be seen when suddenly, you feel your tail getting pulled. “I win!” She winks at you. You roll over and flop to the floor beside her, groaning in annoyance. “That’s not fair! You tackled me.” You whine. She laughs, tail cheekily moving behind her. “As if you don’t do the same thing!”

She playfully slaps you with her tail. You could be talking to her when suddenly all you see is a blue blur before feeling your face get tickled by something. Blinking, you take a step back before seeing Kiri giggling to herself. “Did you slap me with your tail?” She tries to play dumb. “No…I would never.”

Like Neteyam, she wraps her tail around you. But it’s not only on your waist, she coils it around your arms and legs. You never asked why she does that, but you take it as her hugging you but just with her tail.

When you and Kiri are cuddling, Kiri has her tail wrapped around you. Immediately after she has you in her arms, her tail is coming to encase you in her hold. You love it, you feel so protected whenever she does that. It’s like you and her are in your own little world.

“Your tail is so cute.” You comment, wrapping it loosely around your arm. “I love how I can mess with it.” Her tail twitches. “I wish I could do the same with yours.” You feel her hand grab your tail, a grunt leaving her lips. “It is very heavy.” She says. “Maybe it’s because you have no muscles.” You tease, pointing at her flabby arms. She rolls her eyes, scoffing playfully. “I can pick my own tail with ease.” You pick your tail up to demonstrate. “No need to brag.”

You love her tail just as much as you love her. That’s something you tell her all the time and she’s alway rolls her eyes. “Why do you love my tail so much?” That’s a question you hear everyday. Your response to that is; “It’s just so small and cute!”

THE GODFATHER — TSU’TEY HEADCANONS

#SYNOPSIS: tsu'tey being being a godfather/uncle to the sully kids

#WARNINGS: none

#CHARACTERS: tsu'tey, neteyam, lo'ak, kiri, tuk'tirey

#AUTHORS NOTE: this is my first post so be easy 💀

NETEYAM

without a doubt tsu’tey and neteyam had the most in common. they were both noble older brothers and strong hunter/warriors who took themselves way too seriously. a man of few words, tsu’tey wasn’t nearly as vocal as jake in regards to neteyam’s responsibilities. don’t be fooled though, his expectations were just as high. he considered his godson to be his successor as olo’eyktan one day and wanted to be sure that he could handle the pressure that comes with the title.

began calling neteyam "mighty warrior" when he got his first knife at 6 years old, teasing at first, but growing to mean it over the years. neteyam was without a doubt his favorite sully to hunt with, and he took pride in knowing that he helped perfect his shooting form (not that it needed much correcting, the boy was valid).

he gives the most insane dating advice like it’s normal.

“if you like this person, simply kill a sturmbeest and give it to them as an offering so they know that you're a good hunter. the bigger the better, then they’ll be more likely to mate with you.” “mate? i’m only 15–”

"someone made a pass at them yet you sit here whining to me? you must challenge them to a duel! i’m sure you could kill them easily-" "godfather, no-"

LO’AK

this boy is his father’s son through and through. since the day lo’ak uttered his first word, he and tsu’tey had been butting heads. i’m talking full blown arguments between a grown man and a child. tsu’tey didn’t care – he never ran from a fight, and he’d be damned if he started now.

he would always tell jake that he, "didn’t care for the little one” as a bit, but when lo'ak failed his iknimaya, you can bet that tsu’tey immediately began preparing him for the next one. he’d poke fun at him from the sidelines the same way he did when it was jake’s turn all those years ago. he’d point out every mistake lo’ak made, all to avoid saying that he was actually super proud to see him get an ikran this time around.

catches lo’ak and spider in places they shouldn’t be several times a week. he always wrangles them up and returns them to the village, swearing to rat them out to jake and neytiri. he’s usually bluffing though, save for the few times they’d actually had the potential to get hurt. sometimes he’d turn them in just to keep them on their toes which usually kept their antics at bay for a while. at the end of the day, they were just kids doing kid shit, and tsu’tey could only be so concerned about that.

KIRI

he wasn't rocking with her at all for for the first few years of her life. he still wasn't comfortable around "dreamwalkers", even after the war, so kiri’s miraculous conception from a dormant avatar did very little to ease his suspicions.

“look, i understand if you don’t want to be her godfather, but she’s not going anywhere. we’re all she’s got.” jake said.

though his suspicions began to fade over the years, they never left him entirely. having agreed to be her godfather as well, he tried to support her interests when could. they changed constantly, to whatever facet of nature she was obsessed with at the moment. this week it was mushrooms.

“i don’t know what kind they are so don’t ask.”tsu’tey would hand kiri a leather pouch full of random mushroom caps he’d collected during his last hunt.

she would always inspect the plants he brought and he’d take note of which ones she kept and which ones she didn’t, so he’d know the right ones to get next time. he would still accidentally bring the poisonous ones home sometimes.

he was the personification of "he's a little confused but he got the right spirit"

TUK’TIREY

tsu’tey would die for all of his godchildren in a heartbeat, but he would kill for tuk. she was his little partner in crime, often tagging along while he did his patrol of the forest or made new weapons. people rarely showed interest in the chores of the chief, but she’d found them cool enough, and that meant a lot to him.

one time, tuk was sulking around camp for days, until tsu’tey asked what was wrong. she’d asked jake to teach her how to shoot a bow, and he told her no, that she was still too young.

“nonsense. i learned to shoot an arrow before I could walk. i will teach you.”

tsu’tey was careful that he didn’t scold or poke fun at her when she released her shot too early or complained that her arms were sore. he didn’t want to discourage her. still, he wasn’t the type to offer flowery words of encouragement. he would simply correct her form and re-direct her towards her target.

“do it again.” “but godfather-” “again. and don’t slouch your shoulders like that.”

he’d give any gemstones and shells he found to tuk to polish and make into beads or armbands. in the beginning, he could admit that they weren’t as perfect as he liked, often uneven in shape and size, but he sported them anyway. after scoring his biggest kill wearing her beads, it became tradition to make him a new strand before every hunt. he kept every strand they ever made.

Stupid boys

After you had this conversation with Kiri, it was all that you could think about. Were all the boys really having 'bad intentions', you thought? Of course, you have always imagined this sweet relationship with your future mate, not something you would need to force yourself to enjoy. So every time a boy tried to talk to you, even only as friends, you thought about her words. And you were quick to realize that she was right. It mocked you so badly because you always adored your parent's relationship and now it just seems tragic to you. Kiri's mom and dad looked happy together and that's what you're looking for. Someone who would give up everything for you, even their own life. They had this relationship and you envied it.

You sit there on the beach, watching Jake and Neytiri as they play with their youngest daughter Tuk. You've been watching them a lot recently because you were trying to figure out what they had, that others didn't. "They make me wanna throw up.", Kiri rolls her eyes, but giggles as she watches her parents. You turn your head to face her, your eyes meeting hers. "Isn't that what you want? you're confusing..", your mouth curved into a smile, and shaking your head ever so slightly. You hiss and chuckle, when Kiri playfully hits your arm. "They are my parents! As their daughter it's my duty to think that everything these two love birds do is disgusting.", She sighs, resting her hands behind her body in the sand, stabilizing herself. "But yeah, that's kind of what I was talking about."

"Rotxo tried to court me earlier… It was really weird, I thought we were friends.", her voice sounded disappointed and when you looked her in the eye, you could also see how they lost their shine. "What..?", you asked, "what did he do?". Kiri throws her head back, letting the sun slightly hit her face, making the little dots on her skin sparkle. "He just simply came up to me and was like 'hey Kiri, I got to tell you something.. I really like you'.. blah blah blah…", she stuck her tongue out, rolled her eyes, and quickly continued with her story: "And now comes the worst part, he said 'i've seen the way you look at me and I know you want this too'. Now tell me, what did I do to deserve all of this?", she frowned and let's out a little cry. You bit your lip, trying not to laugh at his confession.

The thought of Rotxo trying to court Kiri, made you sick, for a reason you couldn't explain to yourself. You really tried to hide the way this made you feel, but your friend could clearly sense that something in your gaze had changed. "Life certainly is very unfair." You gave her a little half smile, suddenly being taken back a little. "Eywa really tries to mock me so hard!" Kiri looked up into the sky as if Eywa was sitting right there on one of the clouds, looking down at us.

"I think Eywa is just trying to show you all of your possible options, you know? It is so you can tell the difference between a good option and a bad option." You slightly chuckle at her. Whenever you are with her, all you want to do is say something cool to impress her. Because your best friend always speaks so wisely and you kind of envy that.

"You are talking nonsense"

Kiri laughs, but what you can't see is that she looks at you in awe. You are cute whenever you wanna sound like a smartass.

"But I am being serious!"

"You really are talking nonsense"

You gently press the left side of your body against hers, trying to mess with her a little bit. The feeling of being so close to her has always brought you comfort. In fact, she has always brought you so much comfort. Whenever Kiri was around, you felt safe.

"I do think that you are a good option" You whisper quietly, resting your head on her shoulder. Kiri can't help herself, but fall a little bit more in love with you, when you made her heart melt so easily. Your eyes wander to the ocean, looking at the waves crashing over and over again.

"You think so?"

"I know so"

Your voice sounds so soft as if you are bearly even putting any effort into speaking. But Kiri understands you, she always does. Sometimes it feels like the two of you are only talking by using your thoughts. Kind of like telepathy, you guys don't have to talk in order to understand each other and that is something that you had liked so much, ever since you met her. Occasionally you find yourself wondering if Eywa brought her here into your Village, just so you two can meet and spend the rest of your lives together. Kiri leans her head against yours and for a moment it really feels like you are already connected to her. Suddenly it feels like you could feel all of her emotions and hear every single thought of hers. But you couldn't be sure unless you asked her about it:

"What are you thinking about?" Slowly you look up at her, using your big puppy eyes to analyze the future of her unique face. She is so pretty, you thought, hoping she wouldn't hear it.

"My future"

A sweet smile crossed her lips, not only did she think about her future, but she also saw it right in front of her. Her own thoughts made her heart skip a beat and suddenly you could feel her breath pace up a little. You asked yourself what vision could have possibly made her heartbeat fasten.

"And what do you see?" The expression on your face was curious and so innocent. Kiri loved that about you as well, you never had a single thought about hurting someone, never had the intention of doing something bad. Kiri is pretty peaceful herself, but not like you are. She gets upset easily and somehow you always find just the right words to calm her down again. Sometimes she thinks she couldn't live without you anymore. Like really, she worries her heart might stop beating the second you would leave her.

"You and I, and everything else that will cross us."

Us. You liked how she said that and you were glad, that she had the same vision about the future as you had. You wouldn't leave her, maybe not even after she would want you to. A big smile, showing your teeth crossed your lips, and Kiri returns the cute gesture. She is happy that you don't pressure her into a future that she doesn't want. Never could she mate with someone, that isn't you.

"Do you think, when we haven't found a mate when we are 25 years old, we will adopt kids?"

The Imagine had both of you giggling. That was a beautiful idea, Kiri thought. You and her, Kids, and a life just exactly like your parents have it. "Maybe my brothers will have kids by then and we can be the grumpy aunts, telling their kids how stupid boys are and how they should never mate." She was reaching out her hand, but she stopped for a moment. Kiri wanted to touch your skin, only she was really afraid of you judging her for it. Even though she wouldn't know what you should judge her for, normal best friends touch each other all the time, right?

"That sounds like a good idea"

Your answer made her boldly reach her hand out for a second time, gently stroking through a strand of hair, then placing it right behind your ear. Your eyes were locked into each other's eyes and no one would stop the intense staring contest. Why should you stop after all, when everything you guys ever wanted to see, was right there?

"I can't picture you with someone else"

"Neither can I"

I thought I’d do something a lil different, since the Nav’i are so connected to nature, it would be a cool concept if they were given a gemstone that represents them when they were born

ᴹᵃˢᵗᵉʳˡᶤˢᵗ

𝐀𝐔: Just like the Songchord that is created when a Na’vi first comes into the world, they are also given a gemstone that represents them as a being. Throughout life, whenever this gemstone appears - it means something. Na’vi use it to represent themselves on their own Songchords and their clan’s Songchords. Their gemstone is also worn as an adornment; jewellery, sewn into clothing, and/or worn in their braids.

𝐌𝐨'𝐚𝐭

・Her stone is Apatite

・Known as ‘The Stone of Wisdom’

・Aids in the mind’s connection to the spiritual world

・Apatite is also known as the stone of the future and brings knowledge to those who are attuned to it

・It also helps in psychic abilities; feeling, knowing more than the average Na’vi.

・Her stone was a part of the reason why she knew to make Neytiri teach Jake

・Those attuned to it/are chosen by it has enhanced brain power, originality and critical thinking skills

・Apatite is a dual-action stone, known for its positive use of personal power to achieve goals. It clears away confusion, apathy or negativity, then, stimulates the intellect to expand knowledge and truth

・She wears it as a necklace as well as bracelets

𝐉𝐚𝐤𝐞

・His stone is Labradorite

・Known as ‘The Stone of Mysticism’

・He was chosen by Eywa; we have seen reasons so far, but there has been hints of an even greater purpose for Jakesully.

・This stone’s elements are Air and Water. Just like Neytiri, Jake has a love for flying - and he leads his family to find a safehaven with the water people.

・He received his stone when his soul was completely transferred into his Na’vi body

・Legend says a warrior speared the coast to create labradorite

・Is known for uniting opposing ideas, forces and people

・Cuts through illusions to reveal the heart of the truth

・Offers protection through ritual work

・Jake has labradorite beads tied to his arm band

𝐑𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥

・Her stone is Moonstone

・A very spiritual stone, which fits as she is the clans Tsahik

・It evokes the goddess, and in this universe, that would be Eywa. This rings true as Ronal is the Tsahik for the Metkayina clan; the one closest to Eywa

・It’s element is Water, showcasing her clan and its importance to her

・Moonstone is a stone of sudden inspiration and intuitive knowing. Some clans believe a Moonstone talisman can help the wearer make the right decisions.

・The Earth element rules Rose Quartz crystals; hence, you’ll easily calm down when holding this crystal, especially during stress, grief, trauma, loss, or heartbreak.

・However, she does come from the Forest Na’vi - the Omaticaya. This represents the Earth element. And since moving, she has become one of the Reef people - the Metkayina. This represents the Water.

AVATAR : WAY OF WATER with a Human ! S/O who has psoriasis

Characters included : Neteyam, Lo'ak, Kiri, Ao'nung, Tsireya

Pronouns used : They / Them

Note(s) : Psoriasis is a non contagious skin condition caused by stress, hormonal changes and immune disorders. It can also be caused by genetics as it runs in family. You get flaky patches on the skin that are painful and dry.

Neteyam

He's worried for your health, it was bad enough you were human but now he refuses to take you anywhere remotely dangerous. He worries if they look too red or flaky, bringing you to Mo'at with no questions or confirmation on if its actually sore or not. Sometimes it can get annoying, and to be honest it's not the best way to react, but Neteyam's doing it because he knows how stubborn people can be and doesn't want you dimishing your pain, regardless on if you've ever done it or not.

Has a schedule for you and your ointments, he won't let you skip one or two even if they're looking really good one day, Netyam is very strict when it comes to your health. If they get bad again because you've been a bit careless while he's been away you're in for a lecture.

If the areas where it's bad ever split he's literally doing everything for you no exceptions, and while he doesn't want to come off as overbearing, Neteyam knows how incredibly dangerous infections are, he can't risk further injuries coming from the scabs.

Whenever it's all flaky and crusty he admits he cringes a bit, but still doesn't mind bringing you to a lake or getting something to wipe the excess off. He's very gentle and slow, trying his best to prevent making it worse.

When you get to the Metkayina any bullying or harrasment is met with aggression, he won't go out of his way to fight, and even tries to deescalate the situation if it goes too far, but he will defend you.

He has a bit more trouble bringing you to Ronal, and ends up very stiff and awkward during the interactions of your health, less so if you talk to her directly. Because of this, Neteyam usually gets Kiri to help him gather herbs he can use to help you, and because some Na'vi are judgemental of humans and it'd be easier to avoid stares or confrontation going to Ronal.

If you itch, bite, pick, whichever, he tries to help by placing something with a layer of cream or some kind of ointment over the parts that you tend to aggravate, it's his way of being not only affectionate, but helpful in preventing an infection. Neteyam isn't judgemental as I imagine most of his younger siblings done it from time to time, he probably done it as well at some point.

Given that when it splits water and just touching in general is incredibly painful, he tends to convince you with how bad it could get in the future, reminding you what could happen if you don't try to prevent it. When rubbing them onto your skin he reminds you that you can ask him to stop at any time if he notices you flinching or closing your eyes in pain.

Lo'ak

He's mainly concerned, not overbearing, it's mainly small anxieties and asking questions that can be a little too invasive. They can get annoying sometimes even if he means well.

Wonders if because his family share DNA with humans that he could catch it, until you shut him down with the 'It isn't contagious.' which then gets him embarrassed on the fact he assumed in the first place. Ask him about it a while after, his face and even up to his ears and shoulders will go purple with a blush.

If you get made fun of, either by Na'vi or other humans, he'll defend you, as sad as the attempt is to watch, and relate to your experiences as he feels he can never truly fit with either. Even if the experiences you two have are wildly different in the simplest of terms.

Picking it usually ends in him being a little disgusted at the puss and blood that comes from it, but he wipes it away and washes the bacteria nonetheless, offering you comfort for the painful splitting. He can come off like he's disgusted at you, which he genuinely isn't, it's moreso the fact its gotten so bad and you could have an infection that ends in excruciating pain. He doesn't want you to go through that.

Lo'ak tries preventing picking and biting by telling you stories of how he nearly had to remove an arm one time because he scratched at an injury, this usually leads to you feeling anxiety or annoyed, maybe you're comforted by this and try to stop, either way he's trying to warn you of the dangers it can cause.

He takes a longer time than the rest to bring you to healers, unless you don't need convincing and go yourself, this isn't for a lack of caring, he just feels like making you go too often could make you feel babied.

Tends to ignore advice by healers, nothing major, but he brings you on exploration and hunts even after Mo'at or Ronal directly tell him not to.

He brings you to Mo'at very awkwardly, she tends to assume it's him in need of help for doing something dangerous, but whenever it's you she's sighing and asking why you didn't come sooner. Scolding him as he looks down and huffs.

Lo'ak makes sure to tell you he sees you for you, and he doesn't care that you have Psoriasis, it's apart of you, both figuratively and literally. He couldn't imagine you without it and doesn't make you feel bad for having it.

Kiri

Kiri feels really bad for you if you get bullied for it, she tries to relate to you given she gets made fun of for her being a 'freak', although her attempts come off slightly pushy, it comes from a place of love and wanting to understand you.

Her strong connection with Eywa allows her to help you, she's able to find the materials needed in order to soothe your pain without fully understanding where everything is.

She's been training to be a healer for as long as she could think, and is more capable than most in this list beside Tsireya, so she knows what to do on the physical spectrum of helping you. Emotionally, she's also really good! When you're feeling really down Kiri asks you questions, and if you prefer to listen, she's also amazing at speaking about things she's interested in.

When you pick and bite she tries telling you it won't help at all, explaining the dangers in detail, this can either distract you from it or convince you to try and be more aware of your actions, although you obviously won't always be able to stop if you don't realise. But if you react negatively for whatever reason she tries to be near you more often, gently removing your hands from the parts that you're going to pick or bite almost on instinct.

She will bring you to Mo'at or Ronal when she doesn't know how to help, listening intently so she doesn't have to. It's not that she hates the outside or anything, but in the Metkayinas she prefers to stay away from others from fear of bullying, both for you and her.

Ao'nung

Ao'nung made fun of you because of your 'strange skin', along with the Sully's for being 'demons'. After the whole Lo'ak incident he stops being extreme about his remarks but will still tease and mention it sometimes. However, if you genuinely have a problem with it and ask one of the Sully's, given the only way you'd be allowed with the Metkyina's is with the Sully's, to have him stop then he probably will.

I imagine he'd probably believe humans just looked like that, I don't think he's ever actually been 1 on 1 with a human before or up close. That's probably until he meets Spider, and you have to explain what Psoriasis is.

If it gets really painful he has no idea what to do, he then proceeds to be the embodiment of crying for his mother when he has an issue. He sounds fairly unbothered and even annoyed at you, but Ronal knows how he is, and she is side eyeing you both.

Will stand there and constantly ask questions while Ronal checks you over, she kicks him out after a while and remarks how childish he's being.

Given they usually only get painful if dry, though sometimes they're just annoying, Ronal suggested swimming more often, and so you joined in on the lessons the Sully's got. The lessons would most likely be longer with you because you tend to slow them down, at least you don't need to worry about breathing with the oxygen mask.

He'll try bringing you hunting every once and a while, mainly to help exercise you and help you be more useful so you can be more healthy. If you struggle and can't exercise more often, Ao'nung doesn't know what to do that could assist you beside help with ointments.

If you pick and scratch he gets kinda angry, it doesn't mean he'll yell or harm you, he just doesn't want you to be in pain. Ao'nung will hold your hands or cover the parts you can reach when he's around, but when he's gone it's easy to fall back into that habit. After a while of scolding you and telling you to stop doesn't work, he begs Tsireya for help.

Tsireya

She constantly asks her mother for help whenever it gets too painful or dry, Ronal tells her she can't help besides ointments on the skin regularly and Tsireya is dissapointed every time, wanting to help ease your pain.

Even though Ronal disapproves of you, being fearful of a betrayal given human nature, she will still be willing to help for her daughters sake and to remain in good spirits with the Sully family.

Tsireya tries ways to improve your mental health once you explain that things like stress can cause it, she takes you swimming in shallow water to try relax you and clean out any dirt that could be in the patches. She's gentle when guiding you and never presses hard against areas where it appears for you, sometimes she forgets how tall she is though and leads you too deep.

She's never judged or been rude to you, and when her brother or other people are she isn't kind with them. Heck, when she had first met you she had simply believed all humans had it.

Tsireya was really accepting when you told her what it was, she even held your hand and gently brushed a hand over some sore parts to prove she wasn't disgusted. Sometimes kissing them when it wasn't all crusty and all split.

Whenever or if ever you feel insecure, Tsireya to the rescue! She will separate the lessons with the Sully's and with you if you feel ashamed, only when you feel better about yourself will she bring you back. Building confidence is key and forcing you to the deep end, literally, will only shatter your self image.

Constantly reminds you to put the ointments over your skin and frets over you, loving to show you how much she adores you and doesn't mind your skin condition at all. Applying them herself if you forget.

She is still Ronal's daughter, and will be strict when it comes to medical issues, especially when they split given how painful it is and how it can become infected easier.

Again on the splitting or if you pick, she's hesitant to bring you back into the water, it hurts when wounds go into water and she's nervous you'll be in more pain. However, she does understand it can clean wounds and it's either this or wait until its healed to swim. Which she's fine if you prefer the second one.

If you pick and scratch she's probably the best one to have, she asks Ronal to bring her bandages so she can wrap them up after washing the dirt out and put ointments on, she helps change them and makes sure the bandages are thick so you can't scratch through them. Tsireya won't repremand you too much or get angry, she understands it can't be helped sometimes and besides some light scolds she treats you gently.

When you first met the Omatikaya guests, you were obligated to treat them kindly

You weren’t as cheerful as your sister, Tsireya, was thanks to the responsibilities you had, but you were still sweet and cheerful on the inside

Your personality caught Neteyam’s eye, but it wasn’t too obvious at first

Scolding Ao’nung for being mean is your daily routine ever since the Sullys arrived

Nobody really noticed, but Neteyam observes you a lot

He saw the inner you whenever you interacted alone with his younger sister, Tuk

You’d laugh so much and allow yourself to be childish

But once you’re with the group, you’d put on the facade again

In some way, Neteyam could relate as the eldest child and future to the clan

One day Neteyam overheard your father scolding you over a mistake and reminding you that you were the clan’s future

You looked so pressured you were about to cry

You flinched at some point when your father yelled at you

Ao’nung was just sitting in the corner feeling terrible for you

After your father left, you didn’t let your brother see you break

Instead you just ruffled his hair, saying it’s okay

Then you went out and bumped into Neteyam and your face went pale

“How much did you hear?”

“Not much.”

You started talking to him more often after that

It wasn’t as if there were obvious feelings between the two of you

But your siblings and his would tease you whenever they see the two of you sitting alone

Neteyam would talk to you more often than he would with your siblings

Def gonna be teasing Lo’ak and Tsireya together

And then you started noticing the little things about him

Until you finally realized you had feelings for the eldest Sully

They terrified you

Because Neteyam was just confusingly unpredictable

On one side, he treated you differently in a good way

The little gestures he’d only do with you were sweet and kind

But on the other hand, you were someone he could relate too, so he probably just saw you as a close friend

Your thoughts were constantly fighting amongst themselves

Even your siblings noticed

Tsireya tried calming you down once when you were stressed out about your own feelings

Kiri somehow found out

Then she told Lo’ak

And they both tried getting some confirmation out of Neteyam and tried convincing him to make a move

But he won’t budge

At some point Ao’nung would teach the Sully kids something misleadingly

And then you’d smack the back of his head

“That’s not how you do it.”

Neteyam laughs and everyone would pass knowing looks

Except Tuk who was oblivious and was in her own little world

After some time, Neteyam starts noticing too

The stolen glances you’d send his way when he wasn’t looking

How nervous you looked when he was standing way too close to you

He found it adorable

Meanwhile, you were still trying to figure him out

The Skxawng knows and he’s not doing anything about it

Yes, he feels the same way

Although Neteyam would usually stay calm

His heart would race when you maintain close up eye contact with him

Or when you’d lay a hand below his chest to help his breathing

Tsireya notices and she tells Lo’ak who confronts Neteyam

“Bro, she totally likes you and she’s frustrated trying to figure out if you feel the same way.”

“I know.”

“Why aren’t you doing anything about it?”

Neteyam sighs

He doesn’t think it’s a good idea and that both your parents won’t take the news so well if he were to act on his feelings

Lo’ak and Kiri thinks he’s an idiot for that

So they come up with a plan, including Tsireya too ofc

Let’s just say Neteyam wasn’t happy about being set up by them

And he couldn’t think of any excuses when you were already there expecting to hear something from him

So he just spits it out

And then takes you by surprise by kissing you

Lo’ak, Kiri and Tsireya were definitely watching, and somehow Ao’nung and Rotxo joined in too

They were busy shushing each other and trying to keep quiet

Luckily for them, you were too focused on each other to notice the furious whispers coming from behind

You and Neteyam were childhood friends, you were never without each other

before you two were dating, you would often run around th forest exploring things for fun

you would be with eachother for hours at a time

but you never fought or argued

it felt like you could never get tired of eachother

you agreed on almost everything

when you were younger, you would play a lot of make belive games

you would be the princess and Neteyam would be the warrior who saved you

and when he defeated the “bad guys” or “monsters” you’d give him a kiss on the cheek and he’d blush like crazy

your mother was good friends with Neytiri, and they would joke together about the two of you getting married

they’d teased the two of you, aswell

“You know, the two of you could mate someday”

The teasing never stopped, really

when the two of you got a little older, around 10, the other kids in the village starting noticing how close you were

Jake knew not to mention you in any romantic way after that.

It was sunset and you and Neteyam had decided to run off to the outskirts of the village to watch the eclipse.

It was easy to get time alone, but it was hard to keep the relationship secret.

meanwhile, back in the village Neytiri and your mother were freaking out

He would be the type of yandere to manipulate you without you noticing.

He would not be jealous or act out near you but he has death glares to anyone that gets close to you.
