Finished the 6.55 MSQ so here's my (very positive) thoughts:

‌Love love LOVE Wuk Lamat she's so fun and her dynamic with Erenville is hilarious. Very excited to see more of her in Dawntrail.

‌Krile is already getting some nice scenes and I'm very happy she's finally gonna get the spotlight in dt. My girls been side-lined for 4 expacs it's about damn time she gets to shine.

‌The inventor of Pictomancy is literally Relm. Like they name drop her. Obv not the same Relm as in VI but still! Relm is real! And she was an Archon! tbh them naming an important character related to this type of magic after her isn't surprising- I just expected it to be something in the job quests rather than the MSQ.

‌Zero made super-spicy dishes popular in Thavnair lol. Wuk Lamat trying to toughen it out was hilarious. God I love her.

‌Wuk Lamat & Erenville being childhood friends was not something I expected! Very fun.

‌The catboy from the dawntrail promotional artwork is probably Wuk Lamat's brother, Koana(Was that his name? tbh I forgot. But she has a Miqo brother that's what's important). He looks smart, and it's possible he's gonna be another candidate claiming for the throne.

‌Based on the artwork, I had figured our main group was gonna be WoL, Krile, Thancred and Urianger, as they are the only Scions featured, but based on the quest it'll probably be Wol, Krile, Alphinaud and Alisaie. G'raha is allegedly staying behind, but since he's shown in Tural in the trailer I think he'll find an excuse to come along anyway lol.

‌Thancred and Urianger are going to be competing against us, which will be interesting. I think it'll be fun to see some of the Scions take on a more rival-y role, if only for a bit. It looks like they were petitioned by someone else participating in the Rite of Succession, so maybe they're working for Miqo boy? They're on his side of the artwork after all 🤔

‌(Also I think the writers know how popular those two have gotten together lol they're like making it a point to have them with each other at all times)

‌Estinien is going to Tural just for the hell of it which I think is hilariously in character. Literally going there at the same time as us purely by coincidence. He really can't escape us can he.

‌Y'shtola is neither seen nor heard of which tbh I think is fair given how much screentime and focus she got during the whole Zero arc. I do wonder why she's going to Tural tho, she's in the trailer too so I'm certain she will be there.

‌(Also, since G'raha, Estinien and Y'shtola aren't aligned with any particular side as of now, I think they'll be a neutral third party in the Succession rivalries going on. That, or they'll end up siding with the 3rd sibling that isn't the Obvious Villain (based on Wuk Lamat and Erenville's accounts) somehow. Will be fun to see in any case.)

‌The little memory dialogue from Emet was nice :) just a reminder of the adventures yet to be had. Also he's finally in the unending codex which I think is nice (ngl I kinda forgot about the codex until he got added to it)

ALSO I almost forgot to include it BUT we have a nice heart-to-heart scene with G'raha alone on a bridge and if the writers weren't COWARDS (and/or worried about romance ambiguity, at least for those relating to the WoL) he could've proposed to us then and there. You know he wants you. Do not hold him back writers let him do what he wants. (I'd have said yes ofc)

Hi, Your art is amazing, can I ask how you draw your kwamis? They look so pretty and soft, having their essence, without look like canon.

Haha! Youve unlocked my secret kwami lore!

To answer you're actual question though, I usually use the 'shape abstractions' and they are pretty much just shapes. I usually focus more on choosing a specific shape for a kwami, one that kinda reflects their personality.

So triangles and sharps for Plagg, Trixx, Longg.

Rounds and softs for Tikki, Wayzz, Fluff.

And so on.

I try to keep them simple and about the same level of detail to each other, but not just... boring. So i like to use patterns, the obvious spots for Tikki, but the stripes and splotches for Longg and Fluff.

How i decide whether limbs are attached is just wether or not i think they look good.

So i think its pretty much canon that kwamis can just??? shapeshift? or project a form that they want to be. So i never really got why they chose or stuck with the form in the show.

I like the idea that they are not normal, theyre magical, they dont work with physics. They dont need to breathe or sleep or eat (except to recharge), they dont even need a mouth to talk, they just do that for funzies. And their form would reflect that (abstraction).

Where does the food go when they eat it?? its certainly not going into their guts, they dont have any. Its converted into pure energy, the kind they use to power up.

Regarding the kwamis relationships with eachother, the zodiac kwamis are part of their own group, while the main five are alligned under Tikki and Plagg.

So really they should be separate boxes, i imagine some of the zodiac kwamis are abit peeved being stuck with them. Theyre essentially a found family, being stuck with another separate to theirs in the same house. or box even...

Kwamis choose their groups unless they are complementary (I.e. Tikki and Plagg), and when they do they bond for life, or eternity, since they arent mortal.

Not all kwamis get along, but within their own groups, wether or not they get along its more like family, i.e. sibling rivalry, falling out with a parent, whatever. But they will always back eachother up no matter what.

The zodiacs are not loyal to the creation/ destruction box and vice versa. They just happen to be put together by mortals.

Kwamis usually choose their primary forms as a group, so they match styles. Its usually done once every few decades unless a kwami chooses to bring it to attention and call a meeting. Sometimes if they bond enough with their mortals they might choose to reflect that in their forms, i.e. toys or truer to life versions.

Their true forms are similar to canon, giving biblically accurate angel vibes. Mortals dont usually react well, hense the smaller forms.

Academic Rivals to Lovers w/ Pidge

So it all started when Pidge and you were both new to the garrison. You both kept hearing about this super smart person that was new to school and, in typically cocky fashion, you both assumed everyone was talking about you, as in yourself. But then…Lance started teasing Pidge about how there’s another new crazy intelligent kid and telling her she has competition now.

Immediately upon hearing this, Pidge takes it upon herself to figure out who you are, what your deal is and if she should consider you friend…or foe

The first time you two meet, it’s a bit awkward. It’s sort of like…both your friend groups helped yall finally meet and get to talking. They figured you guys could keep up with each other in convo, both being so smart and well spoken. As your friends all stood around, obviously clueless as to what yall were talking about, your friendly banter quickly escalated to you and Pidge very loudly debating which is more interesting and essential to the evolution of human life and knowledge, English and history OR math and science.

Pidge is probably now yelling something like “HOW ELSE IS HUMANITY GONNA EVOLVE?! SCIENCE AND MATH ARE ESSENTIAL FOR NEW DISCOVERIES AND FUTURE GROWTH AND FINDING OUT WHATS BEYOND EARTH AND-“

And you’re now trying to yell over her “YEAH OKAY OKAY AND HISTORY REPEATS ITSELF !!! HOW WILL HUMANITY EVOLVE UNLESS WE KNOW ABOUT ALL THE HISTORY OF HUMANS AND MISTAKES WEVE MADE AND-“

From that point on, it became a competition, it was all about who could finish their test first, who could finish their book first, who got the higher grade on their essay or quiz.

Then, Pidge started trying to one up you by learning even more about YOUR fav subjects just to rub it in your face that she’s smarter and better than you in EVERYTHING AND EVERYWAY. (Not really, she’s actually just trying to impress you but also playfully tease you about it)

And guess what…you do the same. Y’all are basically like Keith and Lance with that love hate, frenemies type relationship.

And secretly…yall are pining so hard for each other, not so much annoyed at how smart the other is…but more infatuated with learning more about what the other is really into. You complimented each other well. You had a lot in common while also being total opposites in some aspects.

Pidge finds herself in bed at 2am one night with a book she saw you reading once. It looked fairly interesting and she wanted to see what the hype was about. As she read more and more, she began daydreaming about you as her eyes scanned over page after page, her mind focused solely on you as the words she read seemed blurry, not sticking in her brain…you were taking up too much space in there atm.

You found yourself trying to read about and learn how to code and work on tech. You found yourself totally lost and out of your element. It kinda made you smile…thinking about how she was already a science and tech wiz and now she was really getting into history and English thanks to you. Maybe…she was smarter and…maybe it’s all very important.

Before you could gather the nerve and swallow your pride and go apologize to her for treating her less than kind and being an annoying snob…

Shit hit the fan…

You helped Keith save Shiro, ended up in space in what felt like the blink of an eye and suddenly, you and pidge were attached at the hip.

It was like the severity of the situation and Pidge’s fierce determination completely erased your guys’ past together. Now, it was time to band together for the sake of everyone and everything. For the sake of her family.

You and Pidge began spending A TON of time together, often helping each other with tasks, codes, anything the others needed help with. Y’all were the puzzle solvers, the hackers, the ones Lance and Keith came to when they didn’t understand something, the cutie little nerd duo 🥹

With each time you two hung out, you found yourselves both relaxing more, joking and laughing more around each other, bonding more.

Pidge began coming to you all the time to show you new inventions or test out weird stuff on you. You were kinda flattered she always came to you first.

You began often running to Pidge after every book you’d read from the library in the castle. You’d be all excited about something new you just learned about Altean history, zooming through the halls with a huge smile as you look for your girl.

You bust into the room like “HEEYYYYY! OH MY GODDDD GUESS WHAT!!! Soooo, I just found out-“

Cue you rambling for at least 20 minutes while Pidge just smiles and nods along (occasionally she watches your lips move as you talk, only for a couple seconds before she looks back into your eyes)

As time went on, you found yourself becoming increasingly protective over Pidge, especially when out in battle. You…just like her and don’t wanna see your friend hurt or scared.

The first time she ever got hurt, or even got close to getting caught by the galra, she came back to the castle to see you waiting for them in the lion’s hangar, tears streaming down your face. You thought she would be in worse shape and even tho she looked perfectly fine, you were still distraught.

Y’all never really touched besides playful nudges and when you’d ruffle her messy hair but that day…yeah, you hugged her hard that day….

She was a little confused. No one else was this concerned for her so…why were you so freaked out? She was fine, actually more calm than you were atm.

You were so comforted and lowkey entranced by her soft embrace that you didn’t even notice Pidge was now on their knees, bringing you gently down into the same position, as you squeeze each other tighter down on the floor.

“Geez, (Y/N)…you alright?” she mumbles as she pulls back to look at you, worry present on her face.

“I’m sorry, I just…you’re like my best friend. I don’t know if I can do this without you. You…you need to be more careful!”

She was…frozen…watching your lip quiver.

You called her your best friend. The ‘best’ part really made her stomach drop. She was glad you two were closer now and not in a constant academic battle…and it’s not that she doesn’t consider you her best friend, she just…didn’t know you thought so highly of her.

Your friendship and relationship are a slow burn.

For months upon months, y’all just hang out, stay friends, bond over space tech and space history, occasionally cuddle, once in a while you’ll hold hands. Oh shoot, are yall falling asleep in the same bed? Whoa, wait…she’s started hugging you every single day. Autobots: Etho, Tango, Bean's (Joel)

Etho is incredibly mischievous, but knows when someones up to something or trying to pull something over on him. So I think he wouldn't care for the constant power struggles and competition in the Decepticons and would rather just tinker with Wheeljack in the lab.

Tango was definitely tempted by the very cool looking robots in the Decepticons, but wasn't feeling the vibe. He just wants to tinker! (Much like Etho) so he'll spend his days in the lab with Wheeljack creating very... helpful... gadgets with him.

Bean's would 100% think he could be a Decepticon and join the group for like... a day. Then defect to the Autobots during one attack. Lots of the Autobots would joke on him for his somewhat mean personality and tell him he shoulda stayed with the Decepticons. But others would be good friends and realize he's just a big softy really.

Decepticons: Scar, Doc, Iskall, Cleo

I kinda feel like Scar would think he's on the good side the whole time or maybe until he witnesses a team mate do something mean and be like "Wow they're having a bad day! Geez" 🤣

Knowing Doc, I feel like he thinks he could outsmart the Decepticons and just take advantage of their technology. Shockwave would probably want to experiment on him lol.

Iskall is kinda the same as Doc, thinks he can out smart and trick them. He talks his way out of a lot of things and finds being on this side easier.

Cleo finds this side much more entertaining and a lot of the Decepticons enjoy her personality, except when she bosses them around.

Wait, people think Carver is the best TWDG villain?? I always thought he was basic as hell, and the fact that he was beefing with an 11-years old girl... Now Stranger on the other hand was great, he was super intimidating and off-putting and I was genuinely so scared he would hurt Clementine. I also liked Minnie for the same reasons (she was so creepy/off-putting), but I still think Stranger is the best villain bc he had a great setup while Minnie was kind of a secondary villain. But going back to Lilly/Carver, I also definitely prefer Lilly over Carver even though neither are my favorite... And now I'm kind of curious how you would rank the rest of the TWDG villains? 🤔

carver being the best villain is a sentiment ive heard for years 😭 im sure its coming from the "S2 is the best season" crowd tho which i also dont agree with 💀

the stranger is an effective villain. hes not exactly the typical villain type people expect. but hes very unsettling and him stalking clementine for who even knows how long through the walkie talkie is 🤢 he really makes me feel sick. she was using that talkie to deal with the loss of her parents, and this fucking creep took advantage of that so hard he was able to convince her to trust him. ugh he makes me feel so gross. and think of all the guilt clem must have about that situation. trusting this freak to help her find her parents, when if she had just stayed then lee wouldnt have gotten bit looking for her, and her parents were already dead the entire time anyway. oof. theres no way that isnt one of the biggest regrets of her life

carver is fine. i definitely think his character wouldve made more sense if they put kenny in that role instead. that way theres less "i am a grown man beefing with an 11 year old" and more "this is a child i helped look out for once, and im gonna make sure shes raised Right". but i agree that carver as he is is just over the top. overly villainous to the point of it being a little comical. like when villains are all tough like that my reaction is usually "god i WISH youd fucking kill me already so i dont have to hear your bullshit anymore do you know how GOOFY you sound??". if it was kenny in that role i definitely think they wouldve been able to tone it back a bit, and him "having a good side" wouldve been way more believable. as he is carver is kind of one note

joan.... definitely the weakest of the bunch. i dont really have much to say about her. david isnt even technically a villain but i definitely saw him as the better antagonist for the season. i mean hes definitely a villain in clems eyes. and is a constant semi-antagonist towards javi throughout the whole season. joans just kinda.. there.. doing things behind the scenes to cause conflict until the final confrontation. and then she can just disappear... okay

i like the way the antagonists work in S4. theres more of a discussion around what actually makes someone a villain and the difference between a person who fucked up and made (very horrible) mistakes, and a person who is straight up a threat. and i like that it connects back to the idea of lee and his murder of that senator. did he do something horrible? yes. did he destroy his relationship to his family? yes. does he regret what he did? i think so. and he definitely has guilt about his fucked up relationship with his wife. in S1 they mention how non-guilty people got sent to prison all the time. while lee is Definitely a murderer, we get to see over the season that hes a good guy who just wanted a family and in a moment of rage and betrayal did something he can never take back. this is why i never hated marlon. did he fuck up and do horrible things? of course. but he was a scared fucked up teen leading a group of other scared fucked up teens. he knows he fucked up, and continued fucking up to cover for his previous fuck ups lol. but he can be talked down. its a shame it ends the way it does, but i really like being able to teach aj the difference between people like marlon and people like lilly

lilly takes that kenny/carver idea and applies it to a clementine that has grown up and has been looking out for herself (and baby aj) for years now, instead of the 11 year old trying to figure shit out she was in S2. shes too old for lilly to be able to sway her in a way she couldve been more susceptible to in S2, and when lilly finally realizes this she just turns her attention to aj instead, seeing the potential in him (a potential clem does NOT want aj to live up to, wanting him to get to be a kid and not just a survivor, let alone a killer). lilly is fun because you can see in her that she WANTS clementine on her side, and throughout the season progressively realizes that its just never going to happen. both lilly AND clem come to the realization that this person they once considered family is beyond reason, their views too different, and so the fighting begins. their fight at the end of EP3 really feels like a "so its finally come to this" moment for both of them, their final fight. i always shoot her.

whats interesting about minnie is seeing her evolve from secondary antagonist in EP3 to straight up primary villain in EP4. the things shes done, the way shes been broken. she becomes her own downfall, seeing herself as someone beyond redemption. that this is just who she is now, its how things have to be. because if they didnt have to be this way? well then theres a lot more guilt she'd have to deal with. yelling at her in EP4 to just STOP FOR THE LOVE OF GOD YOU DONT HAVE TO DO THIS ANYMORE but she has been changed (in her eyes) so irreparably that she cant see any other option. and she progressively sees clem as the one who fucked everything up for her, instead of accepting that it could all finally be OVER. after killing sophie, the delta was all she had left. it cant have all been for nothing. and so she blames clem for taking it all away from her, even tho clem is just trying to protect her family. the family that used to be minnies. and so in her rage she gets bit. something else that she couldve avoided. but shes just too lost to her own downward spiral, unable to be reasoned with. by that point she just wants it all to be Over. and she wants to take tenn with her so she can finally pretend things can all go back to the way they used to be. her, sophie, tenn, and their parents all together again, where no more bad things have to happen to them. shes super tragic and i love her for that. and i love how she holds this dark mirror up to clem. clem struggles to let go of her past too, and the guilt she has over the things shes done and people shes hurt. and that if she cant learn to let go and move on she could get lost to it the same way minnie did. theres a reason clem is so quick to accept her fate, but shes finally able to leave that guilt holding her to her past behind in that barn. and she returns to ericson a much happier and lighter person, so much weight finally lifted from her shoulders. its finally over for her too

so yeah. my fave villains are definitely the S4 ones due to their nuance and layers. then the stranger, then carver, then joan. if i had to put david on this list he'd probably be above carver. but thats mainly because he has more nuance than carver ever did

as a former high school teacher I can barely bring myself to read high school AUs let alone write them but !!!!!!! y'all, this one that I just came up with would be the cuteeeeeeeessst high school AU 🥺

so we'd have Aleksi as the bratty snobby rich boy hanging out with his fuckboy buddies (let's say Arttu Lindeman and Isac Elliot 🤭 Robin would be his actual best friend since kindergarten though, but he goes to a different school)

anyway! at school they'd pretend to hate each other's guts, or just ignore each other the very least, but they go to the same chemisty class or something, which none of their friends took because it was the super early Monday morning one, but Olli had no choice because he needed that course and all the other courses clashed with his bass lessons, and Aleksi couldn't fit the other options in his schedule either because of his...twinky fuckboy lessons? 😂 idk I'll come up with a funky hobby for him later lol

yeah, anyhow, perhaps they're even lab partners and low-key crushing on each other, although they'd never ever admit it to anyone, because to Aleksi's friends, Olli is a stuck-up loser emo kid, and to Olli's friends, Aleksi is a posh douchebag showing off daddy's money, and they both have no choice but to laugh along with their friends (because that's what teenagers do to fit in), but during their shared early morning chemistry classes Aleksi has noticed Olli is actually super sweet and funny and that his "bitchy" appearance is due to him just being sort of socially awkward with people he doesn't know yet, and Olli soon figures Aleksi is more friendly and down-to-earth than he leads on 👀

I am yet to decide how their relationship would develop from then on, but I suppose they find a way to spend more time together even after their chemistry course ends 🤔 maybe they take the same optional music class (jazz or something none of their friends would be interested in) and that's when they finally realise they have more in common than they thought, and so their secret friendship deepens 😌 and now this is the part where I'm asking you to imagine them having exchanged phone numbers (because they're sure they couldn't follow each other on social media without their friends noticing, and if they did they'd never hear the end of it, and right now neither are ready to deal with stuff like that), and yeah, imagine them hugging and giggling into their pillow in their bedrooms respectively while texting each other in the evenings 🥺💞 first they just chat about school and the music project but eventually about other stuff too and they feel all 💞💓💕 because they feel like they've finally found someone who truly understands them 😭

and maybe one day after the music class they stay behind to voluntarily clean up the classroom or perhaps to practice together, and Olli is blushing and 💞💞💞💞💞💞💞 when Aleksi asks him to help him out with some bass/guitar stuff, and of course they need to be standing quite close together for that (okay maybe they don't need to but they absolutely want to), and then they look up at each other and realise just how close they are to each other and... 💕💓💞💗💖🥰

and that's how they figure out not only that they're both fuckboys, but that they both also...fuck boys 😌

Ah Leos the star of the night , the social climber , the also attention seeking hoes I must say Leo’s have a kind and welcoming side to them when u first meet them like the Sun they shine bright. their personalities are hard to overlook because they have that certain thing that keeps peoples attention. These individuals have also bright ideas and good leadership skills when working in group projects .its nothing knew to know that Leos are just confident within their skin and even if they are not that much confident they project it with out even trying. Leos love to give the people they really love 💕 also alooooooott of attention, they know what they want and where they stand with ppl! So if u are good friends with them and also admire them ( bc let me tell u guys sometimes the attention they get is not enough but praising them for how they talk, dress, speak and even walk will boost their confidence . which is obviously so fucking annoying / i mean girl u is not Marylin Monroe 😓 ). These are the people u want to go party with and just do stupid shit with bc they also have a charming childish side in a weird but fun way 🥴. Ouuuu lalaalalalaa here we have the second Venusian sign of the zodiac what a pleasant feeling being around someone that has good manners and is respectful and diplomatic 😙. Libras are also social light people and also like to get attention from the people around them to get the validation they seek which is yeah … Well libras are also chill, nice , beautiful people that appreciate love , peace , AESTHETICS when it comes to their environment, looks , homes and other people, they are very fashinoble and know how to dress and present themselves in a attractive way. Jkk probably feel the need to defend V's behavior lately, because if they don't then they're left questioning his loyalty to Jm regarding Jk. The day V tells Jk he likes him the most or that he likes him to his face, then what? When V did that in front of Jk and said all of that to Jm, even causing Jm to tell him to stop when he kept telling him he liked him, it was written off as soulmates, besties, even with people trying to defend Jk, saying it was wrong if he's dating Jm.
