An incomplete list of my favorite AFTG fics

All of these are on AO3, and yes I’m only writing this because I’m procrastinating working on TMHYHM. So, in no particular order, my favorite AFTG fics.

The Multi-Part Fics (Complete)

All of these have ended and taken a bit of my heart with them.

1. August by gus_47 (2/2)

If you know anything about me you know that I’m obsessed I enjoy anything and everything written by gus_47. I am their biggest fan; I would read their grocery lists if they let me. So obviously, I was obsessed with this story as soon as it was published. It’s Kevaaron and just- ugh. Heartbreaking. AND !! There’s going to be a second part. So technically it’s finished, but never fear because we’re not done with my boys yet.

2. 12 Ways To Woo A Minyard by NikNak22 (14/14)

This is a non-exy college Andriel fic with background Kevaaron and Jerjean. Basically, Neil is friends with the Foxes and has a huge crush on Andrew. The Foxes try and help Neil confess, lots of fun fluffy antics ensue. Plus, it’s a “Kevaaron is obviously happening but Neil’s too busy pining to notice” fic, so... yeah

3. Flavors of Fall by NikNak22 (20/20)

Don’t even get me started on this one. It’s Andreil, Andrew’s POV, small-town romance. Andrew’s a photographer and lives in a cottage!! in the woods!! and the Foxes have small-town spooky season fun!! It’s just so fluffy and fun and god the yearning. One of my favorite fluff fics, stg it’s so amazing.

4. Bad Habits by mitigates (2/2)

Okay so listen... I won’t lie, there’s a lot of smut. HOWEVER!!! There’s also fuckin soft Jeremy Knox running a childrens home!! and I need that in my life so badly. Anyway, it’s Andriel, Kevaaron, and Jerjean. Also Neil and Kev hooked up once, and it’s a big joke?? Honest to god, it comes up at least four times-

5. Red Rabbits by bloodydamnit, Jeni182, SeaBear13, and windeavesdrops (25/25)

It’s Andriel with background Renee/Allison, not a fluff fic at all so be warned. Andrew is a journalist who starts a podcast trying to hunt down Mary and Nathaniel Wesninksi. Neil, obviously, doesn’t want to be found. It was an interactive story, there’s a Tumblr page, it’s just so good? Really, go read it. I have no other words.

6. quicksand by likearecord (9/9)

This bad boy is Andriel with fuckboy Aaron and Neil is Kev’s little brother. The sheer amount of gay panic in this story, I simply cannot express to you how much fun this is. I cackled so loudly in the middle of the fucking night. Also like- Andrew gets to have friends?? and family who loves him?? And Neil is a being of utter chaos. It’s beautiful.

7. The Odds Are Never In Our Favor by MalikShah (29/29)

It’s not my normal style, but it was so good? It’s AFTG + The Hunger Games. Andriel, a few character deaths, and just a lot of tears. They’re so gay and so sad and it’s so fun.

8. Thorns by Mostly_Maudlin (2/2)

Andreil during Neil’s fifth year. Lots of healthy communication after some not-so-healthy communication. Just a sweet little fic of Andreil learning how to live when they aren’t right next to eachother. (there is smut tho, just so you’re prepared).

9. a switchblade is my preferred weapon by badacts (48/48)

LOCKED FIC, YOU NEED AN AO3 ACCT TO READ !!

Anyways, this is AFTG if Neil was in the Nest and left with Kevin. It’s Andriel and very good. The slowest of slowburns. You aren’t ready. You may think you’re ready, but you aren’t.

10. Am I Screaming To An Empty Sky? by phan_taloon (4/4)

guys... this one is just heartbreaking. It’s Andriel, hurt with very little comfort, and honestly super triggering so be sure to read the tags before you read. Basically, the Foxes lose the finals and Neil ends up in the Nest. I think I sobbed the whole time I was reading, honestly.

11. never fallen (from quite this high) by crystalcrow (43/43)

It’s AFTG from Andrew’s POV. Deffo a must-read, that’s all I have to say. Also, the first AFTG fic I read so... good memories, ig?

12. Back To The Start by fuzzballsheltiepants (11/11)

Andriel during Neil’s fifth year. Andrew gets injured and loses his memory. It’s just as heartbreaking as it sounds, but also so painfully sweet. gives major “I don’t know you, but I know that I love you” vibes. So good.

The Multi-Part Fics (Incomplete)

Some of these are abandoned, some are not, all of them are worth reading.

1. I left you alone in a house, not a home by ohhhhmygod (4/?)

Andreil after canon where Neil has a little brother. It’s not a super fluffy fic so far, but it’s so good !!

2. Blame It On My Youth by youreyestheyglow (115/?)

Andriel 10 years post-canon. They’re foster dads!! Nat and Paige are what I never knew I needed, I’ve fallen hopelessly in love with this story. The quintessential AFTG fic.

3. Hoax by gus_47 (31/40)

C’mon guys, it’s gus_47 ofc I love it. Jerejean after the Ravens. Absolutely, completely obsessed. It’s so fucking good y’all. Just read it.

4. Redemption by accioice (30/?)

So, Neil goes to the Nest as a kid, but instead of Riko abusing them, the Perfect Court becomes family (plus Ichirou). Eventually they go to Palmetto and there’s Andriel!! Kev is a bi disaster, we get some neurodivergent rep, and really really good found family. They just love each other so much. Honestly, it’s a good “what if..?” fic. Like, what if Riko broke the cycle of abuse? It’s just really good and you need to read it.

5. Andrew Minyard v. The Spear Family by preciousfoxes (10/?)

Andrew takes legal action against the Spears and Neil is a “feral dumpster raccoon lawyer”. Really, it’s just Andrew having gay thoughts for 10 chapters straight. And can you blame him? Neil with a man bun. Neil with piercings and tattoos. Neil in a suit.

6. I Beg You, Whisper My Name Like A Prayer by Louie__TheLonely (4/?)

Picture this. Highschool AU. Neil and Andrew are best friends. They are horribly gay for each other. And horribly oblivious. I AM OBSESSED.

7. Neil Fights The Foxes by This_Witch_Writes (10/12)

Neil picking fights when the Foxes treat Andrew badly? Yes, please. I am a whore for protective Neil. Be warned, there’s some triggering stuff in later chapters. Check tags and stay safe <3

8. Let’s make things interesting by Nico4undead (16/?)

Enter the Minyard-Josten rivalry. That’s it. That’s the whole thing.

9. Innominate by Major_816 (18/74)

Neil gets sold to the Moriyamas, but ends up with Ichirou instead of Riko. Now he’s a badass crime lord working undercover at Palmetto. Get ready for heartwrenching angst and heartwarming found family. I cannot express how obsessed I am.

10. In Which Neil Josten Is A PR Nightmare by CoverYourEyes (16/?)

Eve has the (mis)fortune of working as Neil Josten’s PR manager during the Minyard-Josten rivalry. Otherwise known as: Neil is ungovernable.

11. Tell Me How You Hate Me by Killingmeslowly_24 (that’s me !!) (3/18)

I can’t make a fic list without including my child. So, it’s TKM from Andrew’s POV. Andrew is absolutely feral for Neil, and he’s seriously in denial. It’s so much fun to write. Also!! we get the Nicky content we deserve!! Nicky as an adoring cousin!! (and is that Renee/Allison I see on the horizon? It is? 0.0)

The Oneshot Fics

They’re short, they might be sweet, and rest assured: they’re amazing.

1. Just Because I Can by NikNak22

Am I obsessed with this writer? maybe. Bro it’s 5+1, Neil pranking the Foxes and the Foxes pranking Neil back. Amazing, hilarious, I love it.

2. A Yellow Made Out Of Gray by thelessiknow

5 times Neil sees his friends feel loved + 1 time Neil feels loved. That’s it. That’s the fic. It’s just as fluffy and perfect as it sounds.

Ohhhh boy. This one. It breaks me. Andriel highschool AU, they meet on a suicide prevention forum. So... major TW. It destroyed me, I’m not going to lie.

4. One day we’ll reveal the truth by allyasavedtheday

Aaron doesn’t trust Neil’s intentions, so Andrew tells him to watch how they interact. Cue the fluff.

Neil knows his countdown is ending, so he records a video. The Foxes can’t find Neil, but they do find his goodbye. Absolutely soul crushing.

Kevaaron, they’re friends with benefits. Aaron is in love and not handling it well. Fluff and smut, so much mutual pining. One of my favorite oneshots ever.

hmmmmm season two....The 'reader' in this fic is me to put it simply. Uses my name, Kev/Kevin. Younger forms are aged up cause I want to.

Kevin walked down the side walk, a leash in his hand as he smiled at the dog getting herself tangled. He was attempting to untie her while walking and ended up bumping into someone. "I'm so sorry." He immediately apologized but quickly wanted to take it back.

"Never mind, fuck you." "Wow, what a warm welcome, eight." "Five, what do you want?" "You." "Bit forward." "Doomsday is coming and I found everyone but you and here you are so I need you to come with me." "Doomsday?" "Yes. We have very few days to stop it." Five looks Kevin over once, noticing the golden puppy sniffing his shoe, before his eyes caught his hand. "Excuse me, where is it?" "What?" "It. Where is it?" He follow his gaze and huffed. "Um...Somewhere in a grassy field..." Kevin said simply with a nod.

A few stores down, he panicked a bit when he heard a familiar voice. "I-It was nice to see you, Five, but I...I have to go." "What happened to wherever, whenever?" Kevin stopped in his tracks. "I-I...Five-" "Hey, shop owner 'bout to come out and yell at us, he saw me kiss your cheek and he's not happy about it." The new face said as he walked up and hugged Kevin. "Oh, who's this? Hi, I'm Daniel." "Names Five, I'm-" "My brother. He's my brother." Five tried not to let his shock appear on his face as he felt...crushed?

"Nice to meet you, uh, Five? Didn't know my boyfriend had any siblings, Mister-full-of-secrets." Daniel said as he poked Kevin's side and, although he was internally scared when he said 'boyfriend', he smiled at the teasing pokes.

"Yeah, hey, take Scotch back home? Need to go with him to...my other siblings. A family meeting of sorts." "Yeah. Don't stay out too long, Mama is making our favorite tonight." Daniel kissed Kevin's cheek then walked off to head to his home.

Kevin hesitated before turning back to Five, only to see a stoic expression but his eyes. Oh, his eyes, Kevin didn't think he'd see any sort of emotion like the amount of heartbreak he sees in his eyes before he's looking down, blinking a couple times before looking back at Kevin. "Five, I-" "Come on, they're waiting." He says as he turns and walks away.

"Kevin? Oh my god, Kevin!" Allison was the first to wrap the adult boy in a tight hug followed by Klaus. "My little speedster, buddy, how are you?" "Good. Maybe even great." "Why don't you just say perfect?" Five snapped. "Woah, Five, why the attitude?" Allison asked. "Unimportant, what is important is that your other kid brother is alive and well and has been thriving in the sixties for a forty-eight year old in a teenagers body."

Kevin walks away before anyone can question his behavior, missing how Luther looked over to Five and pointed at his ring finger. So he noticed it missing too. "Don't know." Is all Five said before walking up the stairs.

"I need to get to Daniel." "Daniel? Who's Daniel?" "No one." "Kevin's Boyfriend." The room went silent after Five spoke. "Boyfriend? What do you mean 'Boyfriend'?" Luther asked but Kevin was already running out of the store with Five following the the banister. "Kev, I need you to tell me that you'll be here on time." "I...I will." "Will you?"

They had a stare down, it felt like an eternity but it was only a minute before Kevin just looked away from Five before walking out. "So, Uh, real quick, What was that all about?" Five turns back to Luther, masking the feeling of betrayal of his partner with a stern look. "Don't know and don't want to get into it just yet, right now, we're on the clock." He says as he heads off to collect his other siblings.

(Season 3 now, in the car while Klaus went to find his mom)

"Why do you still have that?" Kevin said absentmindedly in the front seat while Five lounged in the back looking at a map. "What do you mean?" "The ring, dipshit." Kevin snapped. "Why do you still have the ring?" Five stares at the map for a minute before putting it down and sitting up to lean on the front seat. "Assumed you still didn't want it after..." He trails off, still not looking at Five, even when he got out and moved to the front seat with Kevin.

"I saw it. When we ran into each other and Daniel came out of the shop, I saw it." "What?" "Heartbreak. Emotion. Other than anger or neutrality, I've never seen emotion in you, not even as a kid. I felt something in me break when I saw raw pain in your eyes. I didn't...I didn't mean to fall for someone else...I was in the sixties alone, I thought all of you were gone. Daniel found me outside a liquor store with his mom...I didn't know where I could go, I was a teenage forty-eight year old in the sixties, His mom was the sweetest and took me in when she saw my state." Kevin laughs lightly. "She probably thought I was concussed or something but-" "You were outside a liquor store. You were drunk." "As a fucking skunk." The two of them laughed.

Kevin finally looked up at Five for the first time in...who knows how long. "Five..." Kevin said softly as he hesitantly placed his hand on the side of Five's face, wipe away a stray tear. "Hey, it's okay." Five then slid over from the driver side to the passenger side and threw himself at Kevin who wrapped his arms around him tightly. He rubbed his back, muttering nothings into his ear as he held him close.

For the first time, Five felt panicked. He didn't mean for all of this to happen, he just wanted to save his family from the apocalypse, he just wanted to save the word and look where they are now. In an alternate version of their timeline where their academy doesn't exist.

Kevin felt Five hold him tighter, felt his hands grip his hoodie and the heavy intakes of air that did nothing but make his head hurt. "Woah, hey, Five." Kevin frantically pulled back from him, making him look Kevin in the eye. "Five, Hun, it's okay." He gets a small sob and a head shake in return. "I just wanted to save the world, Kev. I just-" He covers his face with his hands, his breathing not getting any calmer as the seconds pass by and Kevin starts tearing up at Five's distress, he's never seen Five so broken before.

He gently takes Five's hands into his own, gently holding them as Five tried to look away from Kevin. "Hey, No, look at me." He says calmly, leaning forward a bit in an attempt to catch his eye. Five slowly looks over to Kevin but keeps his gaze down. "You don't have to look at me...just tilt your head up, look near me..." He mutters and the other does so, he expected gentle words and guidance out of this panic attack but instead Kevin leaned forward, connecting his lips to Five's, simply to just distract him, not that he missed it, and it works. Five gasps at the suddenness, immediately leaning into the other, for once letting his mind relax for a moment.

They don't notice the energy wave until it's coming back at them and they pull apart, looking around to notice that the cows are gone. "That's not good..." Five mutters and Kevin pouts. "Do we have to? Kissing is better..." Five sighs, looking at Kevin with a gentle eye before getting out of the car. "Son of a bitch." Kevin mutters before smiling at Five's laugh. "Got better things to do but I guess figuring this out needs done first." Kevin's expression lightens up as he puts his arm on the open window and peaks his head out to look at Five. "Am I better things?" Five turns from where the cows once were and smiles. "Shut up and close the window." He says while grabbing the marker from the back. "Ew, Math?" "Yeah." "Gross."

AGTG MUSIC HEAD CANONS

Disclaimer: all of these music recs are from the mid 2000s and before as aftg is based in 2006-2007

Andrew- rage punk kick the shit out of you music. Platform stompers and anti-government yelling. Pretty pretentious. Hard rock/ art rock (tool, deftones, system of a down, queens of the Stone Age, sonic youth, mcr). Fist pumping and lighters waving at concerts with pits (but he doesn’t go into them cause of touching). He’s a headphones kinda guy, doesn’t like playing his music out loud, but will turn it up loud in his car. rolls his eyes at mainstream pop punk but usually knows the most popular songs (I see you saying p!atd sucks and knowing every lyrics to I write sins) Listens to Nicky/Erik’s soft German folk music in secret (taken to his GRAVE) to relax, along with shoegaze prolly.

Neil- casual listener, never used to listen to music when on the run cause it was a distraction and you always gotta be vigilant but Matt gets him into 2000s alt music. He listens on the treadmill usually. He prolly likes the killers. Anything with killers vibes. Prolly likes older 70s rock as well (I saw someone say he would like the song American girl and I liked that). Likes headphones, never has strong opinions on music. Thinks Andrew’s is too loud on most occasions (and Andrew scoffs at him for it)

Matt- mostly likes rock/ pop punk and rap! He likes heavy pit concerts he can slam around in, loud music to run to etc etc. his taste in rap and pop punk is pretty good (prolly like the all-American rejects, OutKast, etc). ALSO. has a not-so-secret love for girl pop because of the upperclassman girls. He DOES know all the lyrics to Britney spears most popular songs and fergalicious. Him and Allison jam out. Likes to play his music out loud and LOVES having the aux cord. Good at people pleasing when it comes to music and can play what everyone likes (as best he can)

Allison- GIRL POP ALL THE WAYYY. Will throw it back to any popular girl artists of the early 2000s (Rihanna, lady gaga, Miley Cyrus, Britney, fergie, kesha, Gwen stefani,) and knows allllll the lyrics. Has no shame plays all her music out loud. Does not care what the crowds want. Will dance with whoever is closest (usually Renee, Matt, or Dan, and sometimes the unsuspecting Neil who ends up being grinded on by someone at least 5 inches taller than him)

Kevin - classical music, the insufferable history nerd (I love you kev). Instrumentals because the foxes are loud and talk enough for him not to need words. Prolly knows the popular radio songs to stay caught up in pop culture if he’s ever asked his favourite song in an interview (cater to the masses). Listens to Jean’s favourite French artists when nostalgic. Charles Aznavour. Doesn’t really listen to music in public and rolls his eyes whenever the foxes turn anything on even if he enjoys it. Will yell at the foxes when they get distracted by a pop song during practice.

Renee- Says she listens to anything because she doesn’t wanna sound rude or start any musical opinion arguments. Usually listens to whatever is on BUT her secret favourite is something like “Lamp”. Favours the softer songs in albums. Sparring to ‘For Lovers’ type thing. Down to listen to Andrew’s heavy shit or Allison’s pop. Always open to listening to new artists but never found a specific favourite. Probably has a playlist dedicated to Disney soundtracks but no one has to know that, nor will they ever.

Aaron- on a s**cide mission listening almost exclusively to rap music. Most definitely got decked for it at least once by Andrew, simply because he was being pretentious and annoying, ended with a smashed CD player after it was thrown out the window. Despises headphones because “they can harm your eardrums” so Katelyn cries everytime he plays his music out loud. + Aaron would start singing along to the rap songs and gets 90% of the lyrics wrong. But also, he has a major soft spot for mcr, and when Katelyn gets into Taylor he listens with her “this is bad” *secretly likes it*

Nicky- Drug of choice: Britney Spears. Absolutely screams toxic, goes feral when Allison dresses up in Britney’s “baby one more time” school girl fit for Halloween. Adores dance music, is never hesitant to show everyone he’s got the moves of a god. EDM and club music reminds him of his time as a bartender at Eden’s but also 80s pop will always get him going. When he’s sad he listens to German folk music Erik has shown him, but it just makes him miss Erik more LMAO. Whenever anyone hears folk music in the dorms, they know Nicky’s moping and needs space. Will often listen to music out loud, but when strolling through campus he’ll have headphones on

Dan- Likes the club songs she used to dance to at the club, reminds her of her friends from home, and will often dance to them with Matt (create better memories). Beyoncé fan, sings her songs in the shower. Prolly gets Nicky obsessed as well. Often listens to whatever Matt likes as well, sometimes listens to songs Allison has shown her. Not really dedicated to a genre, likes everything, but mostly pop/ pop punk. Is very easy to please and can dance to anything especially if Matt is with her (or Allison/Renee)

Jean- French music exclusively.

Jeremy- surfer music LMAO

Wymack- classic rock (pretentious about it too)

Abby- radio music

LMAO anon - this is a fabulous question! And I feel like, in true Fox fashion, Kevin hasn't answered it.

AKA the Foxes, while Kevin was at the hospital checking up on his dad the next morning, were definitely taking bets on what the hell just happened.

Boyd: *stuffing his mouth full of bagel* Dude, no way. They're banging. You see that possessive move by Moreau? Man was practically announcing to the room how they're bumping baguettes now.

Aaron: bumping baguettes? what the actual fuck, boyd?

Dan: *banging spoon on table* I will not allow stereotyping at this breakfast table! Observation allowed, withdraw the metaphor.

Nicky: *on Kevin's laptop which the Foxes definitely found and powered up without asking* Okay, nope. Not enough. Those Trojans are the literal definition of touchy-feely, and they definitely turned Jean once he got there. So I need some facts - does Kev have a hickey? Are they wearing each other's clothes? Did you find a used condom in the bathroom trash can?

Aaron: I am NOT fucking digging through their trash, Nicky! Are you kidding me?

Nicky: *shrugging* You want proof? I'm just offering the method.

Allison: Nope, I'm calling it right here, right now. It's the whole enchilada. The big L, sex - the works.

Dan: Evidence?

Allison: Are you kidding me? Have any of you even been watching them? Neil, tell them.

Neil: *without looking up from his bowl of cereal* no.

Aaron: okay, not that I'm buying into this whole "they're dating" thing, but they did sleep in the same bedroom last night.

Andrew: So did you, me, and Nicky for two plus years in college. Are you saying we all slept with him?

Allison: I don't know. Did you?

(Now Andrew glares at her.)

Aaron: *rolls eyes* That was different, Andrew.

Nicky: Well, I know I sure as hell didn't because lord knows I tried. That boy is the king of snacks and he let me starve. For years.

Dan: All right, so it sounds like we've got three categories: it's nothing, they're fucking, or they're an item now. Show of hands? Just raise the number of which choice you believe it is and I'll mark 'em down.

welcome welcome, it’s been a while.

but we’re back now with tumblr’s favorite show: AFTG Hot Takes, where i spew paragraphs and paragraphs of bullshit instead of working on my WIP.

without any further ado, i am proud to present: every AFTG ship, ranked.

this is your friendly reminder that these are just my opinions. if you like a ship i don’t: great! if you don’t like a ship that i love: also great! i’m always happy to hear people’s thoughts, and i love a good friendly debate, but please remember that i’m 17. i’m not here to argue with you about why your ship is the best. i’m just here to have fun.

these probably aren’t all the ships that are out there, but this is everything i’ve seen so far. if i missed one, let me know!

24. Jean/Riko

this one… ew. ew ew ew. every ship with riko is so ew, i cannot begin to explain, but this one is the worst.

i’ve read too many Nest fics to not gag at this tag, cause it’s never consensual.

23. Kevin/Riko

y’all know i hate this ship by now, but for newcomers: it’s predatory and neglectful. very very ick.

21. Andrew/Roland

this one… where to start?

i’ll probably make a full post ab it soon, so for now, let’s just say that it’s very similar to Kevin/Thea. The age gap at the time that things started between them… the morals and legality are murky at best.

20. Andrew/Kevin

i’ve said it once, and i’ll say it again: they. aren’t. good. for. each. other.

Kevin doesn’t respect boundaries. he pushes things. and boundaries are the absolute most important thing for Andrew. they just don’t work.

19. Andrew/Neil/Kevin

i very vehemently despise this ship, for the same reason i hate Andrew/Kevin. i think it’s so important for y’all to remember who these characters are and not just ship them because they all have dicks and are nice to each other sometimes. that turns into mlm fetishization real fuckin quick.

18. Neil/Kevin

this is one that i can almost sort of see. if i hadn’t accidentally spoiled andreil for myself, i would have assumed this was canon during my first read.

but it’s just… i love the fact that they’re friends. i think their friendship can be so amazing, and i love reading fics where they’re that close. i don’t think every friendship in media has to turn romantic.

17. Kevin/Jean/Jeremy

remember what i said about kevandreil? apply it to this one too.

ik it sounds like i just hate poly couples. i don’t. i just hate ships like this, that really wouldn’t be healthy but people put together anyway because oh gay people yay! it feels gross and fetish-y and i am not here for it.

16. Kevin/Jean

this is a ship that i can see happening pre-canon, but i’m not the biggest fan of it simply because there’s no way it could be healthy. they went through a lot together, sure, but traumabonds are notoriously unhealthy.

15. Kevin/Matt

this, again, feels like just putting two characters together because they’re nice to each other occasionally, but really? they aren’t. correct me if i’m wrong, but Matt and Kev only have one canon interaction that i can remember, and it’s literally Matt punching Kev in the face.

Not to mention, Dan and Matt. Dan and Matt! i love them too much to accept this.

14. Kevin/Matt/Aaron

Matt literally… just doesn’t mesh well with Kev or Aaron. at all? i don’t understand the thought process behind this.

13. Renee/Jean

i don’t… i don’t hate this one. i just don’t like it. i feel like both Renee and Jean have wayyy better ships (not to spoil anything, but they both make top 5 in different ships)

i don’t think they’re awful, per se, i just don’t really see the chemistry.

12. Allison/Seth

this is an unpopular opinion, i know. but i’ve read a few “Seth lives” fics that redeem him, so i can’t hate him. i can’t, you can’t make me.

believe me, i don’t like it either, but i don’t run this city, the rats do.

anyway, it’s not awesome and i like Ally’s other options better, but it could be good! it could be great! i read too much redemption fanfic!

11. Kevin/Jeremy

i’ll be honest, it’s not my favorite to read when Jean is also in a fic, but if we’re talking in general?

i adore. fics where Kev is falling all over himself trying to talk to Jer are my bread. and. fucking. butter. quicksand has destroyed me. absolutely ruined me.

10. Aaron/Katelyn

starting off the top ten with one of my favorite minor characters ever, this ship is up here because i love Kate so much.

i read too much fanfiction, i know, but i just think she’s so cool?

honestly, i really don’t think Aaron deserves her. she’s that cool. i love her so much. that’s my lady. my babygirl. simply adore.

9. Abby/Wymack/Betsy

i like this one, i really do. all the Fox parents together? it’s perfect. i love it. enough said.

8. Kevin/Allison

listen. i’ve said i didn’t get it before, but honestly? i change my mind. i like this one. i like it a lot.

their personalities would mesh so well. they’re both dramatic, they’d be the funniest fucking couple in the world. i like it a lot.

7. Abby/Wymack

it’s a classic. i ship it, you ship it, the Foxes ship it too. we all ship it. they’re made for each other, and that’s all i have to say.

6. Matt/Dan

if you don’t like this one, you’re lying. they are. the definition. of love.

they’re so cute? so cute? i have no words?

your honor, i love them.

5. Nicky/Erik

god, these two.

if you know me at all, you know i have a soft spot for Nicky. i relate to his story so much, and i hate how dirty Nora did him.

but god, these two. they are love. they are perfect.

4. Kevin/Aaron

i love this one. you know i love this one. everyone knows i love this one.

they’re both assholes, and they’re both hurt in different ways, and i love when they heal together. when they help each other and lean on each other and just- ugh.

i like watching them heal, and i like watching them do it together. (plus best friend’s brother anyone?? a classic trope)

3. Renee/Allison

i love them so much. i love them so much.

they balance each other out so well? they’re so perfect for each other?

also, we need more wlw couples in media in general, and especially in this series.

i love them so much.

2. Jean/Jeremy

you know. you know i love this one (thank you Hoax, and thank you gus_47. you have ruined my sleep schedule and i have never been happier)

grumpyxsunshine, guys. healing together. i love when people heal together. i love it

also, round of applause to us in the fandom for creating an incredibly popular ship between two people who literally never interact in canon. we did that. i love that for us.
