Here’s a two-for-one fic rec. I’ve never watched the film The Family Man (definitely not a Nicholas Cage fan), but I loved both of these AU Stucky versions. These two fics have the same plot, clearly, but I actually really like seeing how two different authors have Stuckified the film.

"Bucky Barnes and His 1001 Fetishes (or at least a few of them)" by sarahyellow (this fic is 167,000 words and the smut is So So Good and Kinky. Some plot, not a ton (affectionate).)

"Give a Little, Take a Little" by notlucy (this series is 90,000 words of glorious kink exploration. Highly recommend.)

"like it's the only thing i'll ever do" by howdoyousleep (listen, listen, listen... this fic is by K and is 39,000 words of omegaverse goodness. What more do you need to know?)

"we are the things that we do for fun" Nonymos (this fic is 35,000 words and has tiny dom Steve (who's a pro dom) with big beefy sub Bucky. It's Great.)

"Maybe we'll get it all (If we choose one night)" by sourwolphs (this fic is 69,000 words and great! Very much emotion and hella smut. My favorite haha.

"You Once Said if We Were Careful" by callmejude (this fic is 65,000 words and has SUCH GOOD sub Sebastian content when he's just learning about subbing, it comes with Heavy emotion and sub drop too though... be weary if that's not your think.)

"Like Sugar (Spell It Out)" by luninosity (I feel like I always recommend this series but I just can't help it, it's Everything I Want. Anyway. This series is 238,000 words and is full, full of beautiful smut and fluff and angst and everything. I can't say enough good things about it.)

"Ceramic" by bearception (okay, so this fic is actually under 30k, it's only 27,000 works BUT it's also so so good and so so full of sub Seb feels that hit me where I live.)

I daydream a lot! Sometimes i write complete scenes in my head which is kind of dumb to not at least make notes because sometimes it's all gone and forgotten again lol

2. Where do you get your fic ideas?

Usually they come out of nowhere. Like when i am doing the dishes or cleaning or something. But i feel like it's my brain processing things i read or watched and then it makes up stories. :)

6. What's the last line you wrote?

It's the last line of chapter two of Something for Someone. I am gonna start with chapter three today! The line :

"I'm here Buck. I'm here."

23. Is writing the beginning,middle,or end of the story easiest?Hardest?

The hardest for me is the middle because i feel like i struggle with the storytelling and character developement. I don't know if storytelling is the right word i just want to make it all make sense and i always hope that the characters reactions etc are real and relatable. The easiest is the beginning - once i started lol.

34. How much of your personal life/experience do you include in your fics?

I would say not much. I would rather say i write sometimes what i wish would happen in my life. Not the awful things of course but i kind of tend to write characters and stories that are braver than me. If that makes sense at all.

56.Are there any fics that you would change or rewrite if given the chance?

Sometimes i wanna change everything again lol. I feel like my writing is not emotional enough. I love to cry over things i read. Maybe i just can't cry over stuff i write and others can. I don't know :)

77. Why do you enjoy writing fanfiction?

I love to spend time with my beloved characters and write what i would have loved to see in a movie/show. I love different universes like Modern etc. and to be honest our fandom is so much more talented as any Marvel writer lol.

He could take a hint. No hitting on beautiful guys who were uncomfortable with that sort of thing, no matter how lickable their jawlines were.

“Hello,” he repeated, doing his best to mind his manners. “I’m very sorry to bother you. Can I have a piggy-back ride?”

I was almost afraid of it, because it's such a hard topic, but juuls handled them with such a grace and precision, it's spot on, it has its great moments, and it doesn't feel forced for a moment. I was wondering if you (or one of your mutuals) knew the name and or the author of a story I read. It was an evanstan fic on AO3 where Chris cheats on Sebastian with - I think - a woman named Phoebe. Sebastian breaks up with Chris and he goes to a Disney thingy and they see each other again. Afterwards they meet in a closet or something and they make up.

Story Summary:

One year.

That’s all the time Prince James “Bucky” Barnes has left before he’s crowned King of Brooklyn and all the responsibilities of ruling a kingdom fall upon his shoulders. The expression heavy is the crown can’t ring any truer. Unfortunately, Bucky knows very little of the kingdom he’s meant to rule since his Regent Uncle has been doing it in his stead for the past fifteen years after the tragic death of his parents.

After an unexpected announcement is made by the Regent, Bucky realizes the only way he’ll ever experience anything is to run away. But one night on his own is enough to have Bucky ready to call it quits. Roughing it is definitely not for him. That is until he meets Steve Rogers and his dæmon, Captain—Brooklyn’s most notorious pair of common riffraff thieves.

Bucky’s view of himself, the world, and everything he’s ever learned will be tested while he’s with Steve and his ragtag team of misfits. And some hearts will be changed forever along the way.
