Summary: “Quick question,” Bucky said. Steve looked up, but didn’t stop moving passports and stacks of cash into a nondescript blue duffel, his mind busily ticking through logistics. He’d grab the glock taped behind the hidden drawer in the desk on their way out, and they could buy new clothes once they got across the border into neutral territory, so they didn’t need much else, apart from whatever Bucky wanted to bring. One duffle should be enough. “Yeah, honey?” “What the fuck.”

Specs: Three piece bradel binding, leather spine covering, french link sewing, leather endbands, marbled pattern endpapers, 36 pages, A6.

A classic Stucky/Leverage crossover, a real treat of a romp that’s been a long time favorite. Thanks @galwednesday for letting me bind your work!

On the process: Another Binderary project, this time properly trying out leather for the spine covering. Paring leather was a feat and a half, and I’m still not all that sure I did it right.

I think it turned out close enough to what I had in mind, but the process of figuring out how to work with the leather all throughout this binding really put me through the paces. Probably a deceptively simple binding for what felt like a giant challenge from start to finish.

That actually made Tony feel a little warm and fuzzy inside, which he knew was pathetic. He talked louder and faster to cover it. "Angry sex, then, whatever. I should just walk up to you and say 'Hey, Rogers, I was looking to blow off some steam, wanna have loud, animalistic sex all over the Tower?' That's what does it for you?"

A flush was creeping up his neck--God, Tony loved Steve's blushes, the Victorian-maiden-modesty veneer over the built-like-a-brick-shithouse physique drove him wild--but Steve's eyes were steady on his. "Try it and see."

Subtle Clues and Context Cues by galwednesday

“Cosplay,” Sam repeated. He and Steve were jogging through Central Park. Steve had just lapped him for a fourth time before slowing to match his pace, and the bastard didn’t even have the decency to sound winded. “As what?”

“You ever see the Pride and Prejudice movie, the really long one?”

“Dude. I have three sisters. It was required viewing.”

“I need a Mr. Darcy outfit.”

Sam slowed to a walk, holding one hand up in a time-out gesture until he caught his breath enough to form full sentences. “You’re going to cosplay as Mr. Darcy? The Colin Firth, look-how-wet-and-clinging-my-shirt-is Mr. Darcy?”

Steve looked down and shuffled his feet. It was amazing to watch over six feet of pure muscle somehow telegraph bashful. “Yeah. Tony’s birthday is coming up, and, well. It’s sort of an inside joke.”

“Holy shit,” Clint’s eyes were huge and round. “Did you get Steve pregnant?”

Tony choked on his coffee. “What? How--why--what? How would that even happen?”

“Hey, you’re the one planning to ambush him with a shotgun wedding.” Clint moved his bowl of Lucky Charms out of the range of Tony’s coffee spray. “It’s a reasonable question.”

“Steve’s not pregnant!” Tony shouted. Was he? He couldn’t be. They hadn’t been gender-swapped lately. What about that alien fertility ray? No, that had been at least seven months ago.

Steve wasn’t pregnant.

Probably.

“I’m not ready to be a father,” Tony blurted, clutching his hair with both hands.

“I’m not drunk enough for this conversation.” Clint opened the liquor cabinet and examined its contents with a critical eye. “What kind of booze goes best with marshmallows?”

(Tony plans a wedding. The wedding is in ten hours and he hasn’t exactly proposed yet, but he’s used to compressed project cycles. What could possibly go wrong?)

While Bucky waits for his new Master to show his true colours they're trying to work out how to live with each other. Bucky doesn't trust Steve, Steve's friends don't trust Bucky, and no one realises HYDRA has not let their Asset go so easily.

Favorite fanfic you’ve read and lives rent free in your mind.

Thank you for the ask! I have way too many favorites to pick just one, but as for a fic that lives rent-free in my mind...

I'll go with the first one I thought of, which is "Scents and Sensibility: The Working Assassin's Guide to Supersoldier Seduction" by galwednesday, silentwalrus, and skellerbvvt. It's such a great mix of poignant and humorous, plus the world-building is excellent! There are certain descriptions that have just stuck in my head every since I first read it.

thank you for asking. yaoidie hardspeed is a joint production with @galwednesday that is as far as i am aware the only fan fiction brave enough to ask, what if Bruce Willis in Die Hard and Keanu Reeves in Speed (1994) were in love? and well, let us tell you, it would be great.

you might be thinking, yeah! sounds like an action-packed adventure! INCORRECT! this story is about leaving work at 5:00. it is about red wine. it is about having a completely normal time at the airport. if you are picturing any person in this story running to any location, you are not picturing yaoidie hardspeed.

one final note: yaoidie hardspeed comes in two flavors, Harry Dies and Harry Lives. if one does not know who Harry is then one's job is to watch Speed (1994) as quickly as possible to rectify this situation. all yaoidie hardspeed enjoyers must tender the appropriate respect to Harry before reading the below screenshot.

First Fandom: (X-Men) Don't Hold Me by Spyre

This fic was at the top of the most recently posted section, but had been written more than 20 years ago and only recently posted to AO3, which I thought was very suitable for a first fandom choice! I also know short fics tend to not get as much love, and I was (and remain) the first comment and kudos on this one, so check it out and spread the love!

This has long been in my bookmarks, and was the fic that lured me into the 00Q fandom. This talented author has left fandom as far as I know, but is still irreplaceable and missed.

Old Favorites: (Marvel MCU) Scents and Sensibility by @galwednesday, @silentwalrus, and skellerbvvt

I don't read much in the Stucky fandom, but this amazing little worldbuilding fic is witty and unexpected and tender and absolutely hilarious, and has become one of my go-to comfort reads. Reading it again was an absolute pleasure. If you've put this one aside because the tags seem like not your thing I encourage you to give it a try anyway.

Fandom Curiosity: (Inception) I Could See for Miles, Miles, Miles by VII_XIII

I asked a fandom friend to recommend a fic in a new-to-me fandom and they absolutely came through! This was lovely and sweet and hot and overall a wonderful fic that coincidentally ended more or less around New Year's Eve!

My mood has crashed low, so I know I’ll pretty much be in bed for the next couple of days and need something to keep me distracted from depression. Can you or any of your kind followers recommend a long stucky fic.

Au or cannon just nice and long with a good story and romance/pining and some smut (get the endorphins going 🤪) or Evanstan. Nothing with a lot of violence or fighting tho ( I don’t mind a bit, but nothing with whole chapters devoted to battle etc)
