The first time that you called Tobio “baby,” he locked up as if you had insulted him. His hand, which you were used to seeing hitting effortless jump serves, setting quicks to Hinata, and generally being the dependable watchtower of Karasuno’s volleyball team, froze on your waist as if he had forgotten how to move his body.

His severe and intense gaze locked on yours as if he were attempting to solve a puzzle—as if he couldn’t believe that you had called him something so sweet and intimate. He gave you a curt nod as he dropped you off at your place, his hand lingering on your waist as he bid you goodnight and your name coming out softer than he intended.

He’d never admit it to anyone, but that night, he felt something stir deep inside his chest, unlike anything he’d ever felt. It wasn’t the same adrenaline he got from playing against hard teams, nor was it the same joy he felt when Karasuno proved victorious over other teams after hard-fought matches.

No, this, you, was different— something simultaneously died and was reborn inside of him when you called him “baby” that night, unlocking an emotion he never entirely understood when he heard others talk about it, but, in your presence, he understood it as if it were a practiced play.

You never pushed him to say it back, satisfied with relishing each time he said your name softly between sweet kisses or tender hugs. You weren’t here to change him. After all, you fell in love with Tobio because of how he is, not out of an aspiration to change him into anyone else. He just didn’t like to use pet names with you, you assumed, and didn’t push him for anything he wasn’t happy to give you.

So it’s safe to say that you didn’t see today coming. At first, you weren’t even really sure what he’d said. Tobio has a habit of mumbling, especially when coming down from the high of a hard match, so you could only make out bits and pieces of his greeting. You were too busy savouring how he held you as you jumped into his arms, congratulating him for a great match and winning against Karasuno’s opponent.

He gave you a tender smile, a rare sight for other people but a mainstay in your relationship, before giving you a soft kiss as he set you down gently. He had murmured your name, that’s for sure, but you couldn’t quite make it all out until you saw the look on the team’s face. Hinata’s and Tanaka’s faces, in particular, urged you to ask him as you gave Tobio a quizzical look.

“Sorry, what did you say, honey? I didn’t quite catch it,” You say, cocking your head softly to the side as his brows knit together, and a blush paints his cheeks at the name you called him.

“I.. didn’t say anything, I just said thank you—” he starts to say, his hand still resting easily on your waist, before he’s interrupted by Tanaka and Hinata running over to hug him, cooing about their friend’s heart finally growing three sizes.

“Wrong!” Tanaka yells as he hugs Tobio, circling his neck with one arm and patting his head with his other hand. “You totally just said ‘baby’! Who knew you had that sweetness inside you, Kageyama!” He teases as Hinata joins in.

“Yeah! You even said it all nice and stuff!” he adds, laughing with his senior as they mimic Tobio’s voice and cadence. “You were all like, ‘Hi, baby! Thanks so much, baby. I’m so happy you were here to watch! Mwah, mwah!!’” Both burst into laughter as they watched Tobio’s glare, waving off his muttered threat of a gruelling time next practice for them as they strode away.

The rest of the team lays off teasing him as they start walking to the locker room, but only after his seniors get their digs in. Azumane and Sugawara give him broad smiles with their thumbs up as they pass the two of you, and Tobio’s blush deepens.

“S-Sorry about them,” he says sheepishly, touching the back of his neck. "I guess it slipped out, and I’m sorry if that made you uncomfortable.” He apologizes genuinely as he looks into your eyes, hoping that his team didn’t scare you off.

You chuckle, circling your arms around his neck as you bring him down for a long kiss. “Don’t worry about it, baby,” you say, relishing the way he softens under the name, his features relaxing as he smiles against you. “You can pay me back by saying it to me so that I actually hear you this time,” you whisper, teasing him but also wanting to hear it clearly so you can store it in your memory.

He leans in close, the two of you the final people on the court as his team filters out completely, and he presses a tender kiss against your forehead. He chuckles softly at your request, an attempt to wave you off, but the glint in his eye tells you that he’s about to indulge you anyway, “Alright, alright.”

He gives you a slow, deep kiss, savouring the heat of your lips against his— a sensation he swears he will never get used to. It always sends that electric jolt throughout his body better than any perfect set or victory. He pulls back, soothing your hair and smiling, “Thank you for coming today, baby. I think I play better when I know you’re watching me.”

He presses a chaste kiss against your lips, “You’re like.. a guardian angel, baby. Did you know that? Maybe I should start calling you angel instead, hm?” He says against you, and his sudden shift in demeanour causes you to shiver.

You nod, running your hand through the hair on the nape of his neck. “I think that’d be great, baby,” You whisper, a blush painting your cheeks as the thought of him calling you “angel” crosses your mind.

“Is that so? Alright, ang—”

He’s cut short by Daichi’s voice ringing clearly in the empty gym as he opens the metal gym door, searching for Tobio. “Kageyama! Meeting!” He yells out from across the gym.

Tobio sighs, pulling away from you only slightly as he nods to his captain. “Okay, I’ll be there in a minute!”

“Now, Kageyama, we already waited five minutes for you. Let’s go!” Daichi calls, the heavy slam of the doors signalling his impatience.

Tobio leans in close, “Another time, baby.” He kisses your forehead as he starts to walk towards their locker room.

The door swings open again. “Kageyama, c’mon! Or do you want me to call you baby, too?” Daichi teases as he waits for Tobio at the door, watching him run up to his captain, apologizing half-heartedly for his tardiness.

You laugh as he teases him, knowing that Tobio’s doing his best not to glare at Daichi. You laugh even harder when you hear their bickering.

“None of you are allowed to call me baby! That’s special, and I’m not about to let you dumbasses ruin that name for me!”

“Alright, we’ll call you King again, how’s that sound?”

You shake your head as you gather your things, knowing that this teasing from the team is far from over as you make your way to wait outside their locker room— giddy at the idea of hearing him call you baby again.

Headcanons of Haikyuu characters confessing to you

This one is for the Karasuno first years, will do a few more for the 2nd + 3rd years and few members of other teams

Will also do a hc of the reader confessing first

Hinata:

It was something you expected because he couldn't be any more obvious about having a crush on you

However, it took way longer than you thought for him to actually stand in front of you

Like this boy have no idea how painfully obvious he was being and everyone had to sit by the side and watch him figure out his feelings in real time

This idiot couldn't differentiate between simply liking someone and a crush

When he finally realised what he felt for you wasn't platonic, he went straight for it

He caught you after class, confessed really loudly

You felt like everyone on that floor was able to hear this idiot's confession of his love for you

He definitely was nervous, considering how loud he was being

When you accepted his confession, he was so happy that he jumped up and hugged you so tightly that you felt like your ribs were going to collapse

There was also a very audible yelp from him from the happiness

Welp, guess now that everyone in the school knows that a certain idiot confessed and is now happily dating the love of his dreams

Kageyama:

Another oblivious idiot on this list

Arguably took long than Hinata to understand his feelings but was also more subtle with his actions

However, everyone except a few was able to tell that he had it bad for you

Would be sneaking glances at you and turning away immediately when you turn to face him

If you ever asked, he would be like "What? No. What are you talking about?"

Even after understanding he had a crush on you, he didn't confess

However, under the help of a few seniors, mainly Sugawara

Our lovely setter prodigy finally decided to face you and express his feelings

It was mainly muttering at first, but after telling him that you couldn't hear him, his voice rose suddenly and went for the overkill

Now the entire sector of the building could hear him

He fried himself immediately after that from embarrassment

But you were nice enough to hold in your chuckle and comfort him, then accepting his confession

Now you had the honour of watching Kageyama turn into a tomato in two seconds

He would be stammering and stuttering all over the place

He was overjoyed, but failed miserably in expressing it coherently

But hey, we love him for that

Tsukishima:

He was well aware of his feelings, but he wasn't ready to admit it

It took him quite some time to come in term with it

And even when he accepted it, he didn't confess immediately

Instead, he was planning strategically on how to confess to you so there will be a higher chance of you reciprocating those feelings back

This isn't how feelings work but we'll give him the credit for putting in the effort

You were kind of shocked when he confessed

You always thought that this guy disliked you, or were at least, indifferent about you, the thought that he liked you did not once show up in your mind

His affections were subtle and only a very few could see that he held you differently from others

His confession was calm, really calm, if it wasn't for the tense muscles and clenched fist, you wouldn't even know that this guy was nervous.

Even after you accepting his confession, his response was more of a "guess you were smart enough to accept me."

But if you squint real hard, you can see a joyous glint in his eyes

He is happy about you reciprocating his feelings, but more than likely he won't outright say it

Even if he did, it would be a quick comment thats followed by something sassy to cover it up

Yamaguchi:

You could tell this boy held feelings for you from a mile away

He's really not good at hiding it with all the blushing and stammering

Didn't have the courage to tell you for the longest time

Tsukishima was telling him to just go for it, and everyone else was also encouraging him to do it

But he still didn't budge

He felt like you were going to reject him the moment he step in front of you

Not true by the way

It was only when he scored with the float serve through multiple games and finally feeling like he could do something did he gain the confidence he needed

He came up to you, face red and trying to keep composure even though he felt so nervous like he's going to faint

However, he still managed to hold eye contact with you this entire time

His voice was quivering when he told you about his feelings

You couldn't tell if it was because he was nervous or because he was scared

Probably both

When you accepted his feelings, he was overjoyed, but he still doubled checked with you

Because maybe, he heard it wrong

After getting an confirmation, he gleamed, you could almost see a fluffy tail wagging behind him

The first request he had for you after making sure you are now in a relationship with him is:

"Could I hold your hand?"

Yachi:

You could tell easily that this girl had something for you from the startled expressions and act of running away and hiding from seeing you

It's like a little rabbit seeing a predator

However, you couldn't quite determine whether it was because she liked you or she was scared of you

You thought it might be the latter, but the reactions her friends gave suggested the former

Nothing really happened for a long time so you thought she would never arrive to confession

She proved you wrong

...but only after one whole year

She finally stopped you at recess all nervous and fidgety, she looked like she was on the verge of crying

She handed you a lovely envelope and just ran

You didn't even get a chance to stop her and she's just gone

The letter was well written, well decorated and very cute

She expressed all the feelings she had for you in her neat handwriting

There were cute drawings decorated throughout the page, indicating how much energy she put into this

Since she already gave you love letter, you knew it was impossible to receive a love confession in person now, so you decided to chase her down yourself

You caught her after class one day, then kabedon'ed her so she won't run away again

She was squealing silently and almost died from your action

She thought you were going to beat her up

When you took out a familiar well kept envelop and said that you accept her confession

She practically stopped functioning. It took her several seconds to process what you said

When she finally understood it, she looked at your with sparkling eyes, asking for a reaffirmation

You repeated your words

She got so happy that she was jumping up and down

Some passing students heard the commotion and checked what was happening

She didn't even notice them

She was just happy to finally be with you

Also I don't even know if this counts as hc anymore because it feels kinda long

Don't ask me why yachi's part is so long, she was too cute and my brain turned to a jumbled goo from the cuteness attack so that's probably why I wrote too much

Edit: fuck fuck fuck guys I JUST realised that I wrote something wrong in Yachi's part. This is so dumb of me. Anyways, fixed it now. Hopefully everyone who read this before the edit figured out something was wrong 🫠

⌗ there was a leotard once that you were eyeing but was a little ( a lot ) out of your price range.. you had wanted it for your nationals, too, since you had gotten in — so sugawara surprised you with a nicely wrapped box once the results were in that you would be going, and it was none other than the leotard you were eyeing that day<3

⌗ out of curiosity, he asked you one day to teach him some things — i mean, the man can jump so high?? it’d be a shame not to try some stuff out..

⌗ and so you agreed to his request, finding it silly that he wanted to try what you do

⌗ it was safe to say that it was easier watching than actually doing.. and that trampolines made stunts MUCH EASIER THAN GYM MATS DID.

⌗ koshi still managed to do something from what you taught him, and albeit it a stunt as simplistic as running into a cartwheel going into a front handspring — it still warmed your heart that he took interest in what you do

⌗ it was also funny at times to hear him yelp cuz he was literally upside down for some things you had him try out LMAO

⌗ in return, after doing some much needed stretches to not have his body absolutely destroyed for practice the next morning, you had offered to try out his volleyball drills.

⌗ how hard could spiking be? ( if you’re short like me and aren’t the highest jumper — hard. but not as hard as blocking😵‍💫 although with timing it’s not as difficult.. )

⌗ it wasn’t as easy as it appeared from a distance, but it was still fun to do! a few sets later it would become a little more easier, and sugawara tossed in a way that was feasible enough for you to hit

⌗ brings you flowers on every competition, whether you win or lose he still brings them because you did really well out there regardless or the results!

⌗ just as he cheered for you during your meets, of course you also cheered for him during his like duh?? anytime he felt himself growing nervous — or the odds of winning had become close to zero, there you were lighting up his way<3

Tsukishima sat on the stairs of the Gym, listening to the banter that occurred inside while he hunched over himself; elbows resting on his knees, feet planted firmly into the ground as he stared off towards nothing. His water bottle hung sideways in his hands, pointed downward, as he let out a silent hum at the approaching footsteps. It had been this routine, this simple moment shared between Tsukishima and you, that has kept him sane inside the ridiculous yet passionate world of Volleyball. He didn't spare you a glance as you took a seat next to him on the steps, your feet curling themselves on the last step right before the dirt. He didn't need to look at you to know you look as beautiful as ever, but he did anyway; he was glad that he had done so. He was glad that he noticed the way your lip was curled down ever so slightly, maybe by half an inch or a few centimeters, and then how your eyebrows were frowned upwards. There was some sort of twinkle in your eyes, something that Tsukishima could pinpoint but couldn't describe. He guessed it was some sort of longing, a longing for something different than what the two of you have known for a while. If he was, he wouldn't blame you for that longing.

He's actually been feeling it a little himself, even more so when he glanced away from you and towards the vast emptiness again. The darkening sky towering over the both of you, almost like an invitation for the both of you to go see where the end of the sky was. . .if there was even an end to it. Though of course, Tsukishima, logically, knew that there was no end to the sky; it was an endless wrap of protection from the sun, gaining its color from a reflection from the ocean. But something inside of him, something you usually sparked, tugged him to go see if that science was true; to put everything he knew up to question, maybe just for you or maybe to answer something inside of him. "When are your nationals, Kei?" Your voice cut through the silence the two of you had shared, jerking Tsukishima's attention over to you once more. He took a quick surveillance of your mood, seeing if it had changed from when he first saw you, but he still saw that soft pensive mood on your face. He saw it even more now with how you had rested your head on the palm of your hand, leaving your elbow to be supported by your knee. Your other hand was wrapped around your stomach, your classic thoughtful stance. Tsukishima hummed, "I told you this yesterday, I'm sure you remember." He cocked and eyebrow up at you, a little quip to your loftiness. An attempt to get whatever you were hiding inside out. "Spring?" You mumbled back, not acknowledging his quip as you usually would; causing Tsukishima to shuffle a little in his seat, replanting his feet into the ground. It was also though he subconsciously prepared himself for some sort of news that would shift his world. A possible breakup, a possible diagnoses of a slow life-ending disease, a possible sudden move of prefectures? But he confirmed your ask, "Yes, it's in the Spring." He mumbled, his eyes shifting away from you and instead took to the sky again. Small wisps of clouds floated away overhead, the sun peaking out behind a few building to cast a golden hue over the lands. It was calming. Tsukishima knew you were also taking a moment to thank the sun for its beauty, or at least you were taking a moment to take it in. He knew when you had finished doing so, as you swiftly stood up from your place; standing on the steps of the gym while you stretch up towards the golden-hued sky, taking up as much space as you could to shake off some nerves or possibly just getting your muscles ready. Tsukishima took you in for as long as he could, being more attentive to you than he had the golden-hued sky. He admired you silently, watching as you relaxed once more and subsequently shook your arms a little bit. Wrists flicking, a sign of nerves or too much pent up energy. Tsukishima's lip twitched as he saw yours open, flowing out words he never thought you would say, "Wanna go for a drive?" or something a long those lines that caused his heart to skip a beat. Yet he externally cocked an eyebrow up, your wondering voice trailing as a tell-sign that you didn't want to go for just a drive. He couldn't help the snort that slipped out of his nose, a smirk widening across his face. Now it was him who propped up his face with his hand, staring at you with curious yet questioning eyes; they were almost taunting in a sense, like a cat observing its meal before it pounced. "Where would their highness like to go?" He retorted, "Perhaps to space since that head of yours seems to be in it." He watched as you snickered a little at his comment, fighting off a small bit of laughter that threatened to slip through your lips; you were trying not to give him the satisfaction of your beautiful laughter. Yet he heard the little bit you had repressed, causing him to widen his smirk by a inch or so as he narrowed his eyes, "Indecisive? If I didn't know better, you might actually be suggesting we shot ourselves into space."

"No, no! Of course no." Your laughter had finally slipped through as a countered. Tsukishima always had a thing for your laughter, how it always sounded so genuine and fluffy. It made him slightly whipped, and If he was some sappy man he would have probably said your laughter would light up a room, or rival the brightness of the sun. But he wasn't, so he just admired it from where he sat with a small smirk that was quirked up to the right. "I just," You paused, taking a moment to take in a deep breath through your nose. Tsukishima watched as you let it out, having a feeling that you were still shaking off the nerves of what you wanted to tell him. " I just want to drive; drive far from here with you, music, and maybe some books. I just want to drive and keep driving, see everything the world has to offer and everything it doesn't. I want to drive with you to the end of the sky, if there even is one, and until we run out of gas money. I just. . .I want to see something different, I wanna do something different." Your voice had risen up so suddenly then spilled out all at once, all so suddenly that it sounded like you were almost afraid that it was shove itself back inside; coward away at the fear of rejection. You didn't look down at Tsukishima after you spoke, or even while you spoke, you just kept your eyes up at the sky. You hands had found itself in front of your stomach, you fiddled with them as you waited for Tsukishima's answer. He could tell that your stomach must be in a knot, your brain swirling with the possibility of being rejected by him for reason X or reason Y. Tsukishima could basically feel it coming off you in waves. So, Tsukishima let out a soft hum to let you know he was giving your request a thought; hoping to relieve at least a little of your anxieties with the alert that he was giving your offer even a single thought. Maybe he would have hummed more than once if he was someone different, showing you that he was chewing over your thought multiple times in his head. That he was giving it some real consideration before he answered back to you. To show you that he cared about your opinions no matter how stupid he might think they are; simply because they're your opinions and he cares about you. But no matter how much he loved you, he still loved to tease you even more. "So what, you propose we run away together for weeks on end, not tell anyone where we're going, survive on whatever money we have, and just drive to heaven knowns where?" Snickered Tsukishima as he let out a puff of air, "That sounds like a perfect murder and missing persons case." You let turned to him, almost frowning your eyes as what he said processed in your mind. Though he could tell you didn't take to heart what he said, he could tell by the challenging smile you wore and the glimmer in your eyes. How you suddenly closed your arms and cocked your hip to the side, showing you were ready to argue your point. He loved that about you, you challenged the words of others but not to the point where he would get a headache. It was a nice change to the guys to stood inside that gym, who have no doubt have realized he's gone yet haven't been permitted to go fetch him; most likely thanks to Yamaguchi. "I'm serious, Kei. I want to see so many things in this world and I want to see them with you! Don't you want to go experience everything you thought you couldn't? It could be a mini-vacation, a week or two of us just driving and doing what we what in that moment." You rebutted, your eyes leaving him and looking up at the sky once more. "Sounds like a chaotic mess." Kei snickered as he followed your eyes up to the sky as well. It had mixed into more hues, looking almost like a painting. The blues swirled with the pinks that splashed with the oranges and the yellow dotted around like highlights. The white from the clouds fluffed in the sky, completing it all with a soft touch.

"But a stress-free chaotic mess. One where it's just our company, the open road, and anything that comes along! We can sleep in the car or in a hotel, I've been saving enough money for this-" You were stopped by Tsukishima who couldn't help but laugh, "Your savings for a rainy day don't count, dear-" This time, it was you who cut him off, "I knew you were going to say that so I saved another bank account just for this. We have enough funds to make it at least a week, to and back from where ever we want to go under the sky! I have everything . . . " Tsukishima noticed as your voice trailed off at the end, becoming soft once more. He noticed your pause, how your arms had fallen to your side and your brows frowned together even more. You glanced to him through the side of your eye, before fully turning your attention to him. ". . .everything, but you." Your words caused Tsukishima to stare at you for what felt like several minutes, maybe even more. He wondered if you thought he was analyzing how you presented yourself after that speech, after those 3 words that caused his heart to flutter, even just a little. Tsukishima kept his hazel eyes on you, his lip pressing into the palm of his hand. He let out a huff and turned away from you, looking at nothing again. You couldn't see it, but he hid a small smile under his palm. He would never let anyone but you to see that sort of smile on his lips, he wouldn't even chance it. "Fine, we'll go wherever you'll like the next time we're on break. I'll be all yours," Tsukishima snickered a little, "I'll even miss practice if I have to." And with those words, Tsukishima knew he had made your day. But, what you didn't know, is that you made him excited for that week; he couldn't wait.

Tsukishima Kei

This salt boi isn't someone really affectionate and he isn't someone who is soft, unlike Sugawara. He is quite a difficult person unless you can put up with his sarcasm and his mean side.

Because of this, I don't really see you and him would cuddle often when outside was raining. I am not saying he won't cuddle you, he would only do it when the two of you are getting sleepy and fall asleep. Other than that, he won't do it.

That doesn't mean he doesn't love you even though he can be rude and a little bit of a jerk sometimes. Tsukishima shows that he loves you in his own way.

During rain, Tsukishima would be a little bit softie by letting you listen to his music and I can see that he would make a playlist where the two of you could listen together.

While listening to music together, Tsukishima would also let you borrow his novel book. I know in Anime it didn't tell if Tsukishima likes to read a novel book but I know he likes to read a book so the two of you would read a book together and review each other books.

Other than reviewing the book together while the two of you are listening to the playlist that he made for you. I can see he would tease you just for shit and giggles.

His love language is teasing so expect if you try to cuddle him, he would comment on your height or any comment that makes you miffed as you slap his shoulder for pissing you off.

Hear me out, there is some time when he is not in the mood to tease you. I can see you two have a talk that ends up with some coos and comfort. He's not talkative but I can see he would listen to your rant as his hands gently stroke your back.

It was dark inside of your room with the light source only coming from the bright screen in front of your face. There were tons of pages with some unfinished charts there and there. Massaging the bridge of your nose, the headache on your head keeps ringing and distracting you from the assignment that need to be done as quick as possible.

Not only the unfinished charts from the undone presentation inflating the strain on your mind but the constant spamming chat from the lecturer asking for the assignment makes you wish the ground swallow you whole and you are able to disappear from the earth forever.

A pair of golden eyes watch you as the tall middle blocker saw a sigh escape from your lips. He didn't say anything nor ask if you were fine but he was aware that you need a rest from all of the tasks from your math teacher. Putting his book away, the middle blocker stands up and leave the bed as he trudges slowly to you.

"Oi, stupid. How long are you gonna finish that assignment, the deadline isn't tomorrow, right?" Tsukishima asks

"yeah it's not tomorrow but Miss Nozomu keeps spamming the chat with the assignment," you told Tsukishima.

"Nozomu? Kae Nozomu?" Tsumkishima raises one of his eyebrows.

"Yeah, that teacher," you continued the paper.

"Tch, are you dumb or no brain? Just because she was spamming the group chat abut the assignment, it doesn't mean you cannot have a rest time. Now come to bed and listen to this," Tsukishima grabbed your arms.

He gently tug your arm as you stood up from the chair and follow the tall moon salt from behind, wondering what kind of plan he has. As the two of you are on the bed, sitting next to each other. Tsukishima gently plugged the AirPods inside of your ear after he logged himself inside the Spotify, playing one of the playlists on his phone.

Seeing the title of the playlist. It made you smile like a dork and snicker slightly, it was a little bit unexpected from him since the title of the playlist is' Falling in love' but you know that the blonde middle blocker is whipped with you. It was clear from the title of the playlist and the way he pulls you away from overworking yourself that Kei loves you.

With a smile, you lay next to Tsukishima as outside was raining hard, the two of you decides to listen to the chosen music and slowly fell asleep together. Pleased by the sound of the rain and the soft music as arms tangled with each other and enjoyed each other warmth under a blanket.

Akaashi Keiji

Akaashi is a gentleman and because of that. I can see the two of you spending quality time together in a sophisticated way, whether it's simple or going out together.

If the rain isn't really hard, I can see the two of you having a cafe date together as the two of you ordered the same drink while chatting about lots of topics.

When he is in a slight cheeky mood, I can see him teasing you by holding out a spoon of the choice of the food and then feeding you as he smiles innocently but you cannot get mad at him because of his beautiful smile-

Okay, let move on. I know he's not really into physical touch but I still can see him cuddling together with you as he let you lay on his shoulder.

Whenever the two of you cuddling, Akaashi would gently hold your hands and sometimes the two of you would compare each other hand size-

Akaashi doesn't speak, he would just listen when the two of you are cuddling but he would also play with your hand, playing with your hair or gently stroke your back.

Hear me out, not only this man cuddles but I also can see the two of you baking cake together while outside was raining as his chest touched your back while his hands guide your hand.

While the two of you are baking, I can see he would also give tiny smooches on the crown of your head if you are smaller than him and he is also a great teacher when it comes to teaching you to bake even if you have never done it before.

Glancing at the view outside, the view of tears from the cloud goes harder in each second, wetting the plants in the park as the window also got wet from the water. A sigh escapes your lips as the rain got harder with each second, not letting you having a date together with your boyfriend.

A pair of blue eyes stares at his partner from the kitchen, the setter of Fukurodani could sense your bad mood even though the two of you are far away. He wishes he could do something about it, trying to make you forget the planned date until a light bulb appear on his head, having an idea how to cheer you up.

The tall setter hurriedly trotted away, putting the plate in his hands away as he goes to the bedroom. The tall setter of Fukurodani opened the door and his eyes laid on the bookcase inside of the bedroom, he takes the two of them before leaving the bedroom and planning to have a reading marathon together with you.

Leaving the bedroom, Akaashi walked up to you and laid the books in front of you, "(Y/n)-San. Do you wanna read together? I brought your favourite book," Akaashi laid the book on the table.

"Hehe, thank you, Keiji-san," You kiss his cheeks, earning a little blush from your boyfriend.

"It was no problem. I don't want to see you in bad mood for a long time. We can have fun too even though the outside is raining," he sat next to you, gently tucking the strain of your hair behind your ear.

"What are you reading?" You look over the title of the book that he is going to read.

"The little princess, I will tell you my book after we read," Akaashi offers, holding one of your hands.

As the sky goes darker, the sound of thunders already was long forgotten by the two of you as the air gets warmer, enjoying each other company in silence. Nonetheless, Akaashi and you the silence was comforting as the room are filtered with the smell of old book and a cup of coffee or tea.

Bokuto Koutaro

This loud baby owl is going to find tons of things to do together with you when outside was raining. I am just praying that you have high energy and don't get tired easily.

Cuddles, this baby owl would love to cuddle you when outside was raining. You cannot change my mind, this large beefy owl would cuddle you when outside was raining.

When the two of you are cuddling, Bokuto would also shower your face with butterfly kisses that sometimes make you giggle because of how tickling it is as he would smile like a dork.

I don't think Bokuto can cook but I do think you two would order something while outside was still raining, and yes sometimes you would buy a lot of them because Bokuto can EAT.

If you have a strong stomach, the two of you going to end up having an eating competition in which who would finish the food first, he would often win though.

Especially if it's pizza or barbeque, you need to prepare lots of meat for him because he can just down several grilled slices of meat in one second.

Since he has lots of energy, I can see Bokuto would pull you to the rain and play together with him as the two of you going to be drenched in water.

He would be cheeky enough to splash you and then the two of you going to chase each other while outside was raining. Basically, Bokuto is a man-child who would make rain is the best day to have fun.

Glaring at the window, your sour mood was radiating the whole room and the great-horned owl even can sense your anger resonating with him. If you are wondering how does he know that you're in bad mood, the answer is because the two of you are watching the rain from outside and pouting together.

The two of you had planned to go to play volleyball together in the street and then have a barbeque date together but suddenly the rain comes down and the two of you need to cancel the date together. Sucking and chewing his inner cheeks, the ace of Fukurodani squinted his eyes and you can hear the gear in his brain screeching loudly.

An idea popped into his mind and he looks at you with stars in his eyes, showing he has an idea of how to make this day more fun even though outside was raining, "Baby owl! I have an idea to make this more fun!" He shouted. Honestly, you swore you would never get adjusted to his loud voice.

"What is it, Bokuto-san?" You raised one of your eyebrows

"Follow me, Baby owl!" He grasped one of your hand.

There was no choice other than following your boyfriend as you follow your boyfriend from behind, wondering what kind of plan he has.

His other hand grabbed the handle of the door and pulled it open, B-bokuto. What are you doing-" but the tall spiker of Fukurodani did not listen to you. Instead, he immediately pulls you to the park and makes you stumble along the way where the two of you run together in the rain.

"B-BOKUTO! MY T-SHIRT IS WET-" You tried to scold your boyfriend.

"BABY OWL!! LET'S RACE WITH EACH OTHER AND THE LOSER HAS TO GRILL THE BARBEQUE!! Bokuto shouts.

"...Fine, Bring it on, Bokuto," the corner of your lips curved upwards, accepting Bokuto's Challenge.

Suna Rintarou

Suna would be the same as Tsukishima, he's not someone who can be considered soft and affectionate. He was rather distant and preferred solitude since he has to deal with the Miya twin's shenanigans.

But that doesn't mean he would not going to interact with you. He would show it in another way as outside is raining. The first one he would watch a movie together with you.

He would let you choose any kind of genre movie you want to watch as he would let you lay your head on his shoulder and the of you are going to focus on the movie.

Sometimes, he would already prepare the popcorn and fizzy drinks before the two of you can watch together. While you were watching, his hand would gently pat the back of your head or your back, being a little bit affectionate.

If you are not in the mood to watch a movie together, I can see the two of you spending time together when outside was raining by watching a funny video together, especially a video of Atsumu and Osamu being stupid together.

The two of you going to have tons of videos where you two can just laugh at people's stupidity and judge them together because I can see that is Suna's love language, sharing a video of stupid people and judging it with you

Other than watching a movie and judging people's stupidity, I can see that Suna would also let you paint his nail, not the bright coloured ones though, just like the black, navy, and dark grey ones.

In conclusion when outside is raining, he would wathing movie together with you, watching funny videos of Atsumu and Osamu fighting like a kind and lastly letting you paint his nail.

The blanket around your form did not give any comfort even though outside was cold and raining. A wind from the air conditioner brushes against your legs, giving you a slight shiver as you tried to hide your legs more inside of the blanket, you needed your boyfriend to warm you up from the cold.

Taking a deep breath, your eyes glance at the clockwise the clock on the wall, showing it was getting darker outside. A ding could be heard along with the sound of footsteps getting closer and closer. Opening the door, you could see your boyfriend, Suna who's holding a bowl of popcorn and a plastic of coke bottle along with two plastic cups.

Laying the popcorn down on the table with the drink, your arms carefully wrapped around his arms and gently tug him to the bed, "It's cold...." you mutter, distracting him with your cute face and acting all cute to make your boyfriend melt.

Sighing, Suna rolls his eyes at your before flicking your forehead and snickered when he heard your little yelp. "Later, you know I need to put the movie on, right? You told me you wanted to watch 'Enola Holmes' an amused huff escapes from his nose and his lips.

"Fine..." You pout, crossing both of your arms as you watch Suna walking away from you.

"Don't pout or I will even pinch your cheeks more," Suna playfully threaten you even though he said it with a blank face.

"I'll bite your hands," you roll your eyes at him.

The middle blocker of Inarizaki punches the number of the remote before he trudges next to you, laying down and pulling you to his arms, letting your head lain on top of his shoulder. Despite the rain outside and the cold air of your bedroom. The two of you are able to get the warmth you both need.

The sound of the rain is already long forgotten by the two of you as the two of you watch Netflix together whilst cuddling. The cold air of the room was also already long forgotten, enjoying each other warmth. His hands gently trace your back, following the lines of the spine as his chin lay on top of your head, watching movie together with you.

Atsumu Miya

This boy screams energetic even though he's not as energetic as Bokuto or Nishinoya. Because of this, he can do many things together with you when outside is raining.

First thing I can see is that the two of you going to spend each other time dyeing each other hair. As you can see, he has a partial golden blond part on his hair and he would ask your help to dye his hair.

If you have a natural colour hair but planning to dye your hair or if you have coloured hair. He would be willing to help you dye your hair and he's surprisingly good at it.

Atsumu is also very cuddly, his love language is physical touch as one of them. Because of that, he would cuddle you as his arms wrapped around your waist.

Sometimes he would let you become the little spoon while cuddling but at other time, he would also become the little spoon as you held him.

Definitely going to whine if you stop cuddling him or if you try to get away from his grip. If this happens, he is going to be petty by giving you a silent treatment but it won't last long because this boi could be really CLINGY.

Atsumu is also a manchild so when he is getting bored, he would be teasing you when he is bored and he enjoys annoying you because it feels like a personal 'I love you' when he annoys you.

"I notice the blond locks on your hair are fading away, can we....dye each other hair?" You ask him.

"Yeah, do you want me to dye your hair as well? I'm good at it," You wanted to slap his face when he is being cocky like this but you know it would only cause more drama.

"Sure, but if you make a huge mess in the bathroom. You will clean it," You snark, standing up before walking away.

The tall setter followed you from behind as he takes the brush, a hair dye and a small bowl to put the ingredients that he needs to re-colour his hand and your hair. Even though it wasn't a routine, it was a nice feeling once his hands touches yours, he was right, he's pretty good at dyeing your hair together with him as you love the final result of your hair.

When they first find out you are into Art, they demand to see what you do daily

When you tell them you have an exhibit coming up, they don’t even ask if they are invited

The most regal of the teams

Literally they showed up, literally in suits YN

SUITS 🫡

Someone quick, take a picture for your memory wall 📱

Honestly they don’t talk about your art much because volleyball practice is for volleyball

But after practice, Semi, Reon and Tendou show the most interest

Semi is super into your style and is always looking at your sketches/ finished products

Reon and Tendou are just super supportive, giving feedback and wanting to learn more

Ushijima doesn’t say anything BUT he is totally listening and storing away everything you say

Goshiki, well Goshiki tries 😅

He wants to know more but the boy doesn’t have a creative bone in his body

He is the definition of a “super volleyball idiot”

Shirabu and Kawanishi don’t really understand art but they still encourage you none the less

At your exhibit, they all walk the floor together

Like a flock of birds 😂

One of them moves and they others follow

They only mingle with you and keep a close eye on your work

Literally they don’t want anyone messing with all the hard work you’ve put in

It’s not that Atsumu doesn’t support you, it’s just that his brain really only functions on volleyball

Kita and Aran will use every change they get to hype up your art work

Omimi suggests they use it in volleyball somehow

Even if it’s pottery or creative writing, they find a way

Akagi is super interested in what you do, always asking questions

Suna sits by you while you work, you have an unspoken relationship of just silent co-existence

He’s super peaceful 😌

Ginjima is a hype man, literally show him your new work and he will scream your praises

Osamu and you both encourage each other in your chosen talents

You taste his creations and give feedback and he critics your art

Riseki kind of stands there, awkward but he tries

Sumu compares art to volleyball and how he’s basically the artist of the team

Samu tells Sumu that volleyball is a sport, not an art which leads to fighting

Which then leads to Suna and Gibjima having to take the children home early

Solid 10/10 moral support but they might cause you a lot of stress 😅

Nekoma

I’m calling it, best team for Art Exibit support goes to Nekoma 🏆

Literally they are the most calm of all of the teams here and definitely beyond supportive

Literally YN, they worship the ground you walk on

So when they find out you are into Art, oh lord

They bug you non-stop to show them what you’re doing

Kuroo doesn’t even need to remind them you have an exibit, they just show up

Kai and Yaku are your support system, giving feedback and helping you carry things and organize everything

Yamamoto is security, hype man and literally #1 Yn simp

Kenma thinks your art is awesome and you’re one of the only people he talks to regularly

Lev, Shibayama, and Inuoka literally adore you so much and want to know everything about your art

Fukunaga, a fellow artist but with words, literally always knows just the thing to say to cheer you up

And Kuroo talks about how you are the carbohydrates that fuel the team 😂

Because he would and we all know it

At your exhibit, they are the first to show up and the last to leave

Kenma might sneak off and play a game or two

But the rest are super interested

Kai takes photos, if allowed, and posts them in the teams group chat

Yaku will discuss every single exibit with you

Kuroo stands around like a proud dad 😂

Lev critics things because he’s an honest boy even thought he knows nothing about art

Inuoka and Shibayama literally just gawk at you because you are so cute when you are happy

Yamamoto is alot like Tanaka and Noya but a tiny bit tamer

Fukunaga takes notes on what he wants to talk to you about later when he finally gets to discuss your art with you

Author's Note: I've been having a pretty heavy case of writer's block especially with a lot of things going on in my life right now. My mental health is a bit unstable, but I had this idea written down in my list of writing ideas and thought that it was so cute. He’s very heavy on physical touch and quality time

Everyone on the team loves you, you’re literally the only person that can make Shoyo shut up for more than five minutes because he just LOVES to admire you and appreciate how perfect you are.

Tadashi just loves when you’re being you.

He’s always sneaking glances at you and just thinking about how soft your features are and how lucky he is to have bagged someone like you.

You only like one very specific flavor of ice cream? He will never ever give you a different flavor and goes to multiple stores if he has to when they don’t have it

Noya tested his luck flirting with you one time and, despite Noya being his upperclassman, Tsuki almost killed him with just one look

He secretly loves how much you fuss over him.

He literally stopped the habit of cleaning his lenses because you’ll just take them and clean them for him

He loves watching you fog the lenses up with your breath and wipe them with the microfiber cloth that came in his case

The most respectful yet horny boyfriend at the same time

“What the hell do you mean that guy cat called you?”

He says as his hand is resting on your ass, giving it an occasional squeeze from time to time.

Very overprotective, but not in an overbearing way

Despite how loud and chaotic he may be (especially when he’s with Noya) he always picks up on your small cues and knows when you’re uncomfy or feeling a little out of place

He loves to bring you up at all times

Hearing you tell him how good of a libero he is and how amazing he is always snaps him out of things. He’d be a wreck without you

He worries about your well-being all the time and isn’t afraid to show how much he cares about you no matter where you guys are

Sure, he’ll scold you for being clumsy and tripping in the gym, but also?

Even after practice, you can’t smell that musty stench of sweat on him because it’s masked by all the deodorant he puts on.

MOST DEFINITELY smells like a bath and body works scent. It changes depending on the season and he loves smelling good according to the season

“Suga, is that… champagne toast?”

You bet your sweet ass it is.

Suga gives the most heartfelt and warm hugs in the world, it’s like hugging a warm blanket.

He’s so loving and it shows in all of his words and actions.

“Aww darling, let me wipe your nose. I told you it was going to be cold and to wear a thicker sweater when we talked on the phone this morning,”

When he says stuff like that his face is literally just >:(

His kisses are so soft. He loves to kiss your nose because of the way it scrunches up after his lips leave
