𓂃 ࣪˖ ִֶָ How? .ᐟ. . . (THE FUCK ARE YOU ALIVE!?) Lloyd Garmadon x Reader | Gender Neutral Reader
ੈ˳light Dragons Rising (s1) spoilers, reference to previous seasons; Ghosts of the past come to haunt Lloyd in the future, while somehow also quelling a long-term ache in his heart. ੈ˳tags / warning: implied relationship, death (slightly detailed), dealing of lost and angsty Lloyd, Jay and Cole are still not back :(, not proof read! 4.9k words.

"Hey Lloyd!" Arin called from the library, catching Lloyd's attention sharply as he tried to pass by. The call didn't seem urgent, yet Lloyd wasn't going to do anything of particular urgency either, so he decided to peak inside; he was also wondering why (and how) Arin was in the Library. Not that it had been locked, or anything of the sort, yet because the Library somewhere that Lloyd would have thought Sora would be, not Arin. Hmm, maybe scratch that. Arin would probably be in the Library if it meant he could learn anything about the ninja. Good dedication, he had to admit, albeit it a tad weird. "Yeah Arin?" Lloyd called back when Arin didn't turn his attention over to him, still engrossed in whatever he was looking at. When Lloyd entered the room, walking over to Arin to peer at the book from behind, he would soon notice it was an old photo album. Zane, Pixel, and Nya used to keep it up to date with adventures and general family outings. "Who's that? I don't think I ever remember a ninja wearing purple on your team before." Arin asked, pausing for a minute before he added on quite proudly. "And I know more about you guys than anyone should know!"
The photo that Arin was looking at was a group photo, one in front of the Monastery before one of the countless times it got burnt down. Sometimes Lloyd couldn't help but wonder why they didn't rebuild the Monastery out of something that was inflammable; though he guessed Master Wu always enjoyed coming back to a Monastery that hadn't changed. And Lloyd had to admit, it was also a nice change of pace of the constant changing world outside. It felt like a part of the chaotic world was standing still; even if that feeling was usually a brief one. Yet, in the photo, Arin would point at a Ninja who was piggy-backing off of Lloyd back. Well, maybe not piggy-backing. It was more of, at the time of the photo, they had jumped onto Lloyd's back and he was in the process of falling down. Meanwhile, Kai had burst out laughing and Nya was elbowing him, rather harshly, with a snicker. Though her efforts were rather targeted as seeing the rest of the team was already bursting out in bubbly laughter. Lloyd swore he could hear all their laughter echo in his pointed ears, like the day had just happened. But he knew he was wrong. His eyes became saddened as much as he tried to smile; if not to soothe Arin, then to soothe himself. "Ah, well, that's the Master of Crystals." Lloyd began to explain to Arin, who craned his neck back to look up at Lloyd. "...um, shoot. What can I say about them?" Lloyd tried not to laugh at his own short comings, a habit that he was constantly teased for yet he couldn't help. "The Master of Crystals?" Arin mumbled in echo to Lloyd's statement. His eyes filtered back down to the frozen photo, taking in how blurry everyone looked from moving. He couldn't help but crack a smile. "You two seem close!" "We were!... we really were." Lloyd's voice drew off a bit, his eyes glancing to the side as he still tried to wrack his mind on what to say. He knew if he said too much he would start crying, yet he also knew that Arin would want to know as much as possible. Yet how could he sum up them in words? That task, Lloyd thought, was impossible. "I wish you could have met them," Lloyd would find himself mumbling. "They were amazing, well as great as a person can be." Lloyd started as Arin turned to face him again, photobook still supported in his hands. "They were rather talented, some of their paintings are actually hung around the Monastery - well those that didn't burn in the fires. They were. . . wonderful, incredibly funny at all the wrong times. Fearless, in their own way, and yet reckless at the same time. Master Wu always scolded them for jumping head first into situations instead of using their head. "They were rather passionate as well, yet somehow managed to be a total introvert; they would not speak to the press, nor anyone they were uncomfortable with. Always gave one of the Ninja this stare that screamed 'help me'. Social awkwardness, that's the word for it." Lloyd couldn't help but smile as memories began to surface themselves after being dormant for years. Arin kept his eyes on Lloyd as he spoke, only occasionally glancing down at the picture to look of the Ninja that Lloyd spoke of. Arin couldn't help but wonder why he hadn't heard of them before. "They were also kind... maybe too kind." Lloyd paused in his speech, he had been rambling for a while before his words fell short. So much so Arin had noticed that Kai stopped to listen from the doorway; he seemed curious on the conversation, yet soon realized who Lloyd was talking about and grew the same solemn look. "What happened to them?" Arin was compelled to ask when he noticed all the past-tense that Lloyd was using when describing the Purple Ninja; furthermore the solemn look that the two grew when speaking about them. Yet, Arin wasn't sure if those looks were because the Ninja got lost during the merge. . . or if something before the merge happened.
The silence was more deafening than a rock-n-roll concert. Arin's brain was flooded with reasons for the sudden silence, ranging from the simplest answer (they were lost in the Merge) and the most complex scenario his brain could possibly think of. He would gingerly close the photo album and try and place it back into the shelf, "We don't have to talk about it if you guys don't want to!" He was quick to rush out. He didn't want to cause any sort of discomfort, and the silence suggested he had; that or he had just resurfaced some horrible memories that were being shoved away. Arin didn't hear when Kai had came over to the two, jumping when he felt the sudden warm hand on his shoulder, and gingerly glancing back over to Kai. He seemed in a much better shape about the question than Lloyd was. Arin knew Kai was trying to offer some sort of smile to soften the anxiousness that coursed through Arin - yet his smile wasn't very convincing. "They gave their life to try and protect us, kid." Kai explained, ruffling Arin's hair in another attempt to soften the mood. Yet, somehow Arin felt worse in hearing the news, turning to look over at Lloyd with apologetic eyes. Lloyd wasn't facing them.
Tumblr media
Sora was quick to pick up on the more solemn mood that Lloyd seemed to be slumped in, not being as attentive during training or flat out spacing out - which tended to cause multiple accidents. Sora knew she wasn't the only one who caught on either. During her training with Nya, the Water Ninja continued glancing back at Lloyd with frowned eyebrows and eyes swimming in worry. Nevertheless, they both saw how careful Arin was around Lloyd, and Sora half wondered if some sort of stress caused Lloyd to crack and snap; she's heard from a few sources that he could have a temper on him. Yet, Nya pointed out how Kai acted around Lloyd and claimed that something happened that wasn't Lloyd snapping at Arin. Something much bigger. "How can something bigger than Lloyd snapping at Arin make Lloyd so. . ." Sora fished for the right word. Distant didn't feel right. ". . .I don't know! Not-Lloyd and Arin so cautious?" Nya glanced over at Sora, lips pierced in a frown, before her eyes returned over to Lloyd, "I don't know, but something did happen. Not Lloyd snapping happen, yet something. I've only seen Lloyd this despondent since-" And Nya stopped, causing Sora's interest to peak. She waiting for Nya to continue, dutifully noticing the rise of suspicion mixed with realization that swirled in Nya's eyes. When Nya did not continue, though, Sora asked with a cocked eyebrow. "Since some big even that caused Lloyd to lose someone close to him, and he somehow still blames himself over all these years?" It was a rhetorical question, laced with some humorous sarcasm, as Sora went back to her work. She was fixing up her mech, trying to add some enhancements on it so it would run smoother. All the while she was also trying to channel her elemental power without Riyu's help. This allowed Riyu to be able to lay in the sun nearby while intensively watching Sora's work, ready to bounce onto his feet if Sora needed his help. Sora noticed the silence from Nya, yet ignored it at first as she tightened a screw. Yet, after the third, the silence got a tad awkward. Sora glanced back at Nya, who was staring at her with a baffled look; almost as though she had seen a ghost. "What. . .?" Sora glanced behind her, seeing if she had missed something. Yet, she only saw her mech and came to the conclusion that she didn't. "How did you?" Nya's posture straightened as Sora glanced back at her. Now Sora was positively confused, "How did I what?" And Nya would roll her wrists, acting like that had carried the answer to Sora's question. It didn't and Sora was left just puzzled. Yet Nya seemed to get the hint that, maybe, Sora didn't know what she was talking about and happened to just take a rather accurate jab in the dark with her rhetorical question. As for Nya shook her head, clearing the baffled look on her face, before actually waving off Sora's puzzled look this time. "Nothing, nothing. I just thought-" And again, Nya wouldn't finish her sentence as her eyes drifted back to Lloyd. Sora would notice as she rubbed her neck, her eyebrows frowning more so than before, and a frown tugging deeper on her lips.
Tumblr media
"I LEFT YOU GUYS ALONE FOR ONLY A SECOND!" Kai's shouting filled the court yard as Sora, Arin, Wyldfyre, and Riyu stood away from the gigantic hole in Monastery wall. Kai had gone inside only a a few minutes before a merge portal had appeared right above the Monetary; which both frightened and confused the four, seeing as Lloyd had used the dragon cores a few weeks ago! "It wasn't us!" Arin started, instantly trusting his hands up in the same way a cop would ask you to. Kai gawked at the four before rushing down the Monastery steps as Zane peaked door behind him, confused. Sora was quick to add to Arin's plea for innocence, yet she was cut off by Wyldfyre. "This was not our faults!" Wyldfyre crossed her arms, "Someone just fell out of the sky, crashed, and broke the wall! It was not me this time." Sora resorted just to agreeing with the two at this point. Kai groaned, and Sora wondered if it was out of laziness (for not wanting to deal with another broken Monastery wall) or out of 'I'm going to be killed for leaving you all alone!'. Either way he rushed past the four and over to the wall, but to Riyu's concerned growls, to check out the damage. He drew his sword just encase. "Fell out of the sky? But Lloyd should have stopped the rifts from reopening." Zane said as he walked over to Arin's left, staring at the rubble with confusion before he began to analyze the rubble as Kai began to carefully climb onto of it. "That's what I thought!" Arin shouted, thrusting his hands out at the crashed wall, "but then someone just- FELL FROM THE SKY!" Sora would add, "While being spit out of a rift. Though it disappeared after they got spat out." "Again, none of this was Wyldfyre's fault." Wyldfyre stated again, nodding in agreement to her own statement as though to add value to it. Nya didn't seem too amused as she rushed out with Lloyd to the hole in the wall and the proclamations of rifts and people falling out of them. Kai swore he was getting a headache from listening to Arin, Sora, and Wyldfyre explaining the situation again; not from their voices, yet from the sheer annoyance that these rifts were causing trouble again. Especially when they had all thought that they were taken care of. And just as he thought life was getting back to normal, or as normal as life after the Merge could get, life slaps him in the face. Again! Thanks life, you're really helpful. Yet Kai's sour thoughts towards life didn't stop him from checking the rubble and coming to a quick stop after he noticed a familiar gi lying on top of the white stone. His body froze at an instant, the grip on the Monetary wall tightened, both out of fear and unknowing how to process who laid in front of him. "Lloyd-" Kai called into the flurry of voices that tried to figure out what had happened. Gaining no response from Lloyd at first, Kai tried calling him again despite not being able to tear his eyes away from the person. Finally, "LLOYD!" "What?!" Lloyd shouted back to Kai, turning to face the Fire Master both confused and more aggressive than he intended. Though his stance quickly softened as he noticed Kai's face: pale white. A beat. Lloyd gingerly, yet with as much confidence as he could muster, walked over to Kai and where he stood on the rubble. As he approached behind him, Lloyd called out again: "Kai?" Yet the only response he gained was a shaking hand that Kai pointed towards the rubble. Concerned, and with adrenaline now rushing through his blood like crazy (the held silence from the others not helping his nerves at all) Lloyd climbed upon the rubble to come face to face with a haunting face. In an instant, it felt like Lloyd's world was turned upside down as his eyes flickered over every detail of the familiar body that was no longer mangled or torn, no longer gruesomely defiled in the most repulsive way.
Lloyd could still remember how their limbs hung on like strings, or were disconnected entirely. How their blood stained the concrete road blacker than it had been, how the rotting smell filled the streets before the war had ended and they were safe to burry their friend. The details rushed back to Lloyd quicker than he wanted; more graphic than Lloyd remembered it being. The shock, horror, terror, slight disgust all made him recoil away from the stones wall; it forced him to completely turn his back and cup his mouth in fear of puking. His eyes were wide, his pupils shrunk as he tried to get those horrible, god awful memories out of his mind. The smell he remembered that coated the streets hit him, causing him to hunch over. He knew this was all in his head, old trauma resurfacing to bite him in the ass for never fully recovering from that scene. He could hear the voices, panicked and just as disturbed (mostly from the original Ninja) when they realized who laid in the rubble. Lloyd distantly felt a hand on his back, but his mind swirled and circled as he felt like his gut had been punched. "What's going on? What's happening?" Arin panic sounded so far to Lloyd, and Arin seemed further when Lloyd turned to look at his student. Arin grew fearful as he saw the detailed horror on Lloyd. Nya was trying to calm the situation. Zane was examining the body, trying to make sense of what was happening. He first ran a diagnostic and the only words Lloyd picked up were "Alive", "Breathing", "Vital". They weren't mangled and torn and tattered, they breathed and were whole and alive. That was a wild concept to Lloyd, caused his knees to buckle. His hand slid down roughly on the Monastery wall as he crashed to his knees. He was trying to keep the tears from spilling over, hiccupping escaping his throat as he choked back sobs. "Can someone explain to use what's going on?!" Sora shouted as Lloyd balled his hand into a fist against the Monastery. Sora sounded distressed, Lloyd couldn't blame her. He couldn't blame any of the new students for how they felt at the moment, after all this was slowly turning into a shitshow of emotions. Lloyd could feel Nya trying to snap him out of his engrossing thoughts yet the felt all consuming; It's like Lloyd felt everything all at once and yet, somehow, nothing at the same time. He blanked out at the explanation the students were given. He blanked out for a while. He wasn't sure when someone had managed to move him, yet he now sat in the living room of the Monastery with his fists clenching at his pants and this sickening feeling still in his stomach. How can you possibly explain that the fact that someone who had died, gave their life, to protect something greater than them (yet somehow also meaningless after they gave their life) to students who hadn't heard of them before? Lloyd moved his hand to cup his mouth, trying to control his breathing as his eyes zooned out on the floor. His knee bounced now without the weight of his arm. He could hear Nya next to him trying to explain the seemingly impossible to the three students: "A long. . . long, time ago, during one of our last fights with Lord Garmadon, after Harumi had resurrected him, we were almost cornered." Nya explained, "Well, we had been running from their joint forces for a while, taking refugee in abandoned building of Ninjago, yet this time we had no were to truly run. I suggested we split up, confuse Lord Garmadon and Harumi and Lloyd said we needed to all stick together." Nya would pause, allowing Lloyd to notice how she had rambled a little and how Kai had to place a hand on her shoulder. There was a silent nod that was shared from Kai to Nya, something to reassure her. Nya took a deep breath before she continued, "To make a long story short, the Ninja you saw crashing through the wall was the Purple Ninja, Master of Crystals. . . (y/n). "They had, despite much protest, said they would ward off Garmadon and give us a chance to escape; promised that they would meet us back at the base-"
"Garmadon tore her to pieces." The growl in Lloyd's voice didn't go unmissed as he interrupted Nya. His hand pulled down from his mouth, pulling at his skin a little before he rubbed his neck. "Left her to die rotting on the street, limbs hanging on by threads. . ." His statement was followed by silence, stunned if not horrified silence. Lloyd didn't look up at the three students, who sat or stood nearby. He couldn't bare to catch their eyes, to catch the horror that their mind was crafting after the vague description that Lloyd left hanging in the air. The silence was thick, thicker than Lloyd would have wished. "But... but they seemed.. fine?" Arin choked out, trying to get some sort of positivity back into the room; or at least to get some people to start looking on the bright side. Despite the gruesome topic. "We don't know how." Nya answered, shaking her head. "The best explanation would be that she was fixed when their soul moved on to the Departed Realm? But we haven't seen much trace of that realm in the merged... nor have we seen many traces of other realms for souls, like the Cursed Realm." "Yes, and it is rather odd that she would appear now." Zane walked into the room, cleaning his hands with a cleaning cloth. Attention snapped to him in a unsettling way (from his standards) yet he guessed it was just worry for the Ninja he had just been taking care of. "Especially after Lloyd stopped the MergeQuake. We can only hope that means that the Realms are settling into their new place, and returning people to where they're meant to be. Yet, that would not explain how (y/n) managed to resurrect." Zane noticed how Lloyd didn't look in his direction when he spoke, yet he couldn't blame Lloyd, not after all they've been through. Not after all he's been through; Especially since he was the closest to (y/n). "Well, the only thing we can do now is just wait for them to wake up, yeah?" Sora pipped up after a moment and she would receive a nod from Zane. She made sure to think on her next words, as well as her tone, before she crossed her arms, "So then let's go do something! I'm sure your friend wouldn't want to wake up after being dead for so long to see you all depressed!" "OH!" Arin pipped up instantly. "I have just the thing!"
Tumblr media
The smell of some sort of bread was the first thing that came to mind, the second would be the warmth of a weighted cover that was tossed up to my shoulders, and the third would be the softness of the pillow at my head and the mattress under me. The warm and softness coaxed me back to sleep, yet my mind made it feel as though I had been asleep for decades. Decades. A soft murmur escaped my mouth as I rolled onto my side, my brain slowly registering the sounds that echoed from where I laid. The sound of birds nearby, the clattering of pans, the sound of laughter and chatter and talking; Feet on wood floors and sliding doors. The smell of different ingredients mixing with the smell of baking bread or maybe pie. It was like the sweetest dream. I grabbed at my covers and turned again on the mattress below me. It was so tempting to go back to sleep, to let the soft, warm sounds bring me to a dream where I was with everyone again. That was until I had fully registered what was happening. With a quick motion I shoved the blanket off of me, sitting up, and looking around feverously. I stared at the room in front of me, all too familiar and all too haunting. My hands had a mind of their own at they first touched the sheets under me, then my cheeks and face, and slowly my whole body as I began to register something: I was. . . alive? How was this possible? Hadn't I died, oh I don't remember, a few years ago? This shouldn't be possible, it shouldn't-. Thoughts circled around my mind like a storm that could not be tamed, panicked and frightened, terrified and horrific. I tried to remember what I could not, at the time, and my only last thoughts were those of the moments before I had died. The feeling of my bones, ligaments, tendons, muscles all pulling apart are screams ripped out of my throat in a piercing way that still haunting me. The tears that streamed down my cheeks, the pain; oh the unbearable pain, all suffered to make sure that everyone else could hopefully see another day. So Lloyd could see another day. I raised my hand, feeling my damp cheeks. I didn't even realize I had been crying, and I frowned my eyebrows as I couldn't understand whether it was because the memories or the confusion. And I couldn't help but sit on the bed, my bed, as I reeled in all that was happening. I was alive, I was back. Yet was everyone else here? What had happened after I died? Did the resistance work? Is Ninjago City back to how it had been? Is- The thoughts brought me onto my feet and tugged at my gi, taking in a shaky breath as I felt it. My feet guided themselves, my mind in a foggy trance, to the door and out the room, down the hallway of the Monetary while following the sounds of voices and laughter. I was led to the kitchen, were I would stand at the door and look in at the scene: Lloyd, Nya, Zane, Kai, and four people I didn't know; three kids, one frog guy. They all were making Pies, from what I could tell, and they were laughing and smiling and joking. Kai had flicked flour at Nya, who sneezed and glared playfully at Kai. Zane was putting pies into the stove, helping as the kid with pink hair read a book out loud. Lloyd with a kid in orange stood at a counter nearby, seemingly racing to make the pie that the pink-haired kid was shouting. The frog guy stood nearby. I didn't noticed as tears flowed back down my cheeks as I stared at the scene, my mouth slightly agape. Everything seemed so peaceful, so right. I could only guess Jay was in his room changing because there was a massive pile of flour on the floor and on Kai and Lloyd. Cole probably in the bathroom from having eaten too many of the sweets, with all the empty pie tins that laid on the table. Nya was the first to notice me, she was about to throw water at Kai yet paused as her eyes caught a glimpse of me and looked back. I could see the way her eyes widened, realization and relief and overwhelm wash her. All I could give her in response was a small smile, a weak bit of laughter.
There was a brief moment were we just stared at each other, and the next thing I knew Nya had rushed away from her spot and enveloped me in a hug. And I couldn't help but hug her back, feeling tears form in her eyes as I choked on mine. "Oh fuck-" Kai mumbled, and I could only guess he had realized why Nya had not shot him with water and instead rushed towards the door. The room grew quiet, confused then realized, as attention darted over to Nya and I. Lloyd's eyes. Oh, his eyes. Despite the pain that rang through them, they way they scrunched and drew out lines on his face. Despite the way he could only meet my eyes for a few seconds at a time. Despite the way they reddened, looking like he was about to cry. His eyes were still lovely as ever. I tightened my grip on Nya, "What did I miss?" I mumbled softly to the shocked silence. I let out something akin to a airy-chuckle. "Most recently, the ending of MerqeQuakes which occurred when all the realms were merged together into one big realm; before that,-" Zane began to respond yet he stopped himself. He couldn't help but smile, and I swear he was about to cry (if he could). "Actually, that does not matter. What matters now is that you're back... and awake." Nya slowly let go of me, I could feel as she tried to break from my grip and I slowly loosened her. She was smiling, yet she was crying; choking on her own tears. I couldn't help but give Nya one last reassuring squeeze before I slowly moved around her and towards Lloyd. The silence seemed thicker as I reached Lloyd, his hesitance more noticeable as his brows thickened and frowned. A thin frown spread across my lips, I knew what this was about (that much didn't take me being alive for years to know). "Lloyd I-" My voice felt weak as I started, reaching out to Lloyd with my hand yet stopping. I balled it into a fist, seeing Lloyd turn away from me, and slowly dropped my arm back to my side. What words could you say to someone who you betrayed? Nevertheless someone like Lloyd, who's been through so much and the last thing he wanted (I knew) was to see my body on the concrete floor. Blood staining the road. Limps ripped apart by his father. I knew that so much that my last thoughts had been about Lloyd had how he would react when he saw the scene. My mouth twitched as I stood there, next to Lloyd, in silence as my head fell. Sorry was not good enough, it would never be good enough; no apology would be good enough to start trying to make up for the time I had missed. For lying, as I knew that I wouldn't meet them back up. For everything. For leaving him alone and making him bear the world without me for so many years. For not being there for him for whatever he had to go through while I was gone; it had aged him so, I could see the aged pain in his eyes. It would never feel enough. "I'm-" And yet, somehow Lloyd turned to face me. And somehow, he came to embrace me, hugging me tightly as though he were afraid I would die again. And somehow, he managed to be near me after everything I had done. And somehow, I had a feeling, we would slowly get through this. Slowly, I wrapped Lloyd in a hug and gripped onto his gi, just as tightly. I buried my face into his shoulder as he did the same and we just stood there and hugged tightly. And everything felt right, even if it was for a brief moment. Everything felt like it had and how it should here in the Monastery, with Lloyd: It felt like home.

So, ever since I found @jigsaw173's post about Piston Peak Air Attack's crash board, my friend (@house-of-past-lives) have been trying to deep dive into the Lore of PPAA before 2014; most of the information we have found has been compiled due to the help of the reblogs of jigsaw's post as well as our own reading of the board in close up shots. Please take all this information with a grain of salt, as we do believe while there is some Planes lore in the news paper pieces on the crash board, a lot of them might have just been recycled. We took what we could read, interrupted it and tried puzzling pieces together; some information could be wrong, and some are of head cannons we have given the characters, though this is what we have gathered!
Tumblr media
𓂃 ࣪˖ ִֶָ The General Information Piston Peak Air Attack
Tumblr media
: ̗̀➛ From what we have gathered, the PPAA crew has been running for a few decades, most likely having begun between the 1950's or the 1960's. We are leaning more towards the mid-early 60's, as the marks (as I'm taking from @penname-artist's post) could possibly tally the amount of years since X's members death. We're taking it this way as we doubt it would signify the number of fires a member fought; due to a close up shot of Nick's picture showing he had much more subtle markings compared to those that are more clearly seen around the board. They're also etched in possibly increments of 5 years, with the movie taking place in 2014, and Nick having died when was 36 and the CHoPs show having finished airing in 1983 (when he had crashed then died.) Thus why there are only 6 marks by Nick, instead of the many scratches that cluster around other photos.
: ̗̀➛ Furthermore, this can be more of an animation bug, but earlier in the movie two different planes can be seen in the middle spots of the board; the two Martin Mars planes being replaced with different models. We believe this is more of an animation error than anything, though this could suggest that there is more members of PPAA that have died yet are not on the wall; as well could suggest that there is either a second board or photos are rotated periodically, as we also see an orlon plane on the final cut of 'Dipper's First Day'. Why this would occur, we aren't sure, thus we claim it's more of an animation error more than anything. Yet it's a worthy thing to point out.
: ̗➛ From the members we do see, and the names we have gathered from the papers (those excluding titles such as Senator or authors) and some head-cannon names we believe that we have some idea of who the members are. Top Left: Austin (Newspaper) Bottom Left: Syd (Newspaper) Middle: Martin (Newspaper) Top Right: Knox (HC) None of these names might be correctly or slotted correctly with their member (though we have a high suspicion that Martin's is due to his model). So please take them with a grain of salt, read the articles yourself and make your own judgement! This is just what we have assigned based on article position, article reference to models, and anything else we could possibly gather.

Tumblr media
: ̗̀➛ (factual information) Austin would have approximately died in 1988, have crashed in a large forest fire inside of Piston Peak; we believe he would be around 30-49 years old in cannon when he died. He would also be the second largest member of PPAA aside from Martin. : ̗̀➛ (head cannon information) Austin would be the PPAA's second resident giant, having come after and been trained by Martin; he would have stayed in Martin's hanger while in training, soon taking it over not even 3 months after he was certified due to Martin's crash. Austin and Martin would have stayed in a 'second story' of the PPAA's dedicated for larger planes; the 'second story' was piece of mountain that was flattened just above and behind the PPAA for bigger planes. They had larger hangers and runways to accommodate them. Yet, when the PPAA grew smaller due to crashes around the 70's and 80's, paired with budget cuts, and other factors the 'second story' became overgrown and was used as scrap metal for repairs on the main PPAA area. Austin would have been much like Bobby from Cars, and a little bit of Martin (having been trained by him and such); He is much more serious than Martin was during a forest fire, but he was even more goofier out of the sky. He most likely put the old smokejumpers up to the craziest things to bother the new mechanic (Maru) and Patch; shenanigans that would have ranged from putting tools in jell-o, setting off a fire extinguisher, or hiding parts.

𓂃 ࣪˖ ִֶָ Syd
Tumblr media
: ̗̀➛ (factual information) Syd would have approximately died in 1990, most likely having died when he was around 30-40 years old; give or take some pull. Due to CHoPs ending in 1983, give or take a few years, Syd would have been one of the people to train Blade (if he was trained as PPAA, if so the first person who would have trained him would have possibly been Knox (who would have also certified him)). If not he would have been working along side Blade (who is canonically around 60 years old) for a few years before he crashed. There is also another possibility of Blade having trained Syd, though I don't believe that's likely. : ̗̀➛ (head cannon information) We believe that Syd would have been like Nick, not exactly like him but someone that Nick would have great enjoyment in being around (i.e. if they knew each other they would tussle in the ground together and playfight, almost like siblings). Blade most likely saw that part of Nick in Syd and kept his distance away from the helicopter for a few years. Knox, being the possible chief at this time, would have most likely tried and get Syd and Blade to communicate more to strength the team's cooperation; leading Blade to subsequently become friends with Syd, no matter how much he disliked it at times. We also believe that Knox and Syd might be brothers, due to their similar builds and color pallets; though that's also more up for interpretation. If so, that would mean Syd would have taken over as chief after Knox crashed. He would have also possibly tried to train Blade on how to be a good chief while he was alive, giving a few pointers here and there but nothing too big that would signal he was stepping down. That was until the fire, with Syd's last message through the radio, "It's all yours now, Blade." They had brought him back to the base, yet it had been too late. Blade never officially got training from Syd and felt as though his old wounds from Nick reopened and paired with that of Syd's death; he had to take the position of Chief anyways, being the oldest member of PPAA (aside from Maru, who had followed him here.) Right after Syd's death, Cam Spinner would have most likely started to begin budget cuts for PPAA.

𓂃 ࣪˖ ִֶָ Martin Mars
Tumblr media
: ̗̀➛ (factual information) Martin would have approximately died in 1977, having died when he was around 20-40, seeming to look on the younger side of the other Members present on the board; despite his older model. I believe in cannon that Martin would have been the resident giant before Austin and had actually been the one to train Austin on how to preform his job; being the only other plane with a 44ft wing span that resided in PPAA. I believe he had also been the one to train Dipper, having been present on the cover of 'Dipper's First Day' before he didn't make the final cut (in the final cut, Dipper is trained by a orion plane.) Martin may have also been a traveling PPAA member, as seen on the chart below his photo frame (with another picture of him on there). He seemed to be charted to go from Piston Peak to Quebec, as well as 2 other places in East Canada; though he had only made it to Quebec and most likely had crashed while fighting that fire. : ̗̀➛ (head cannon information) Martin, much like Austin, would have stayed in the (now) overgrown and scrapped portion of the PPAA 'second section'; having been one of the first planes who would need such accommodations due to the narrow lanes and hangers. He would have trained Austin before his crash and was sort of like a gentle giant to everyone else. We believe Martin would have been a lot like Strip from Cars 1/3, yet a little more headstrong and steady forward. He knows why he is doing something before it's being done and will do it correctly the first time; yet, in the same time, he knows how to have a fun time. He would have been the guy shouting how they should do bonfires and enjoying the days in which no fires sparked.

𓂃 ࣪˖ ִֶָ  Knox
Tumblr media
: ̗̀➛ (factual information) While Knox is not his real name, we do believe he died around 1988 when he was around 40-50; being one of the more long-term members of PPAA. It's my personal guess, due to him and Martin sharing articles near each other, they had either died in the same fire or fires related to each other. He also is the son/grandson of a former PPAA member (I cannot remember for the life of me off the top of my head, but it is mentioned.) : ̗̀➛ (head cannon information) Knox would have most likely been the 'leader/chief' of PPAA during Blade's first years of training (and before he came to PPAA.) From what we see from his photos, we believe Knox would have been much like older Blade yet had much more of a knack for his position. Due to his other picture (with seemingly some sort of quote from Knox) Knox would have most likely been trained for his position from possibly his father/grandfather who worked for PPAA and was the current chief during his training; as such why he was much more equipped for the position than Blade (Blade could have been trained by a possible combination of Knox and Syd.) We also believe that Knox and Syd might be brothers, due to their similar builds and color pallets; though that's also more up for interpretation. If so, that would mean Syd would have taken over as chief after Knox crashed.

This is all the information that my friend and I have slowly compelled about the four planes on the crash board (along with a few head cannons for how they would have been during their life in the cannon planes universe (we have slight different Interpretations in our version of Planes where no one dies)) Please feel free to do what you want with this post and the information we had gathered up; this was all for fun and out own pure curiosity on who these planes might be! The information might not be cannon and some of it might. Either way, thank you for reading and I hope you found this enjoyable. Also thank you to the following people for helping! @house-of-past-lives (co-author; helped form this whole piece) @jigsaw173 (the poster of the original blog about PPAA's crash wall) @penname-artist (for coming up with the tally theory)

𓂃 ࣪˖ ִֶָ "'Cause for me, it is always you.".ᐟ. . . Timeskip! Kuroo Tetsurou x Reader | Gender Neutral Reader
ੈ˳For Tetsurou, is was always you; You where the only person who was able to make him a better man than he has ever been. Subsequently, you had been the only one who has managed to break his professional shell at a National Men's Volleyball game.
Tumblr media
Maybe it was just nerves pinching at you, whether those be your own nerves or the conjoint nerves of everyone in the room, that caused you to break out in a light sweat. You were leaned forward in your seat, barely sitting on it anymore as your legs supported the wait of your crouched body. Sweaty hands gripped onto the railing that kept you up and away from the court, yet still allowed for the perfect birds eye view of everything that was happening. Here you were, at the finals of the Olympic men's national volleyball game: Japan Men's National Volleyball Team vs Argentina Men's National Volleyball Team. It was everything that you had been told it would be and more. The crowds roaring in cheer whenever their team would score, the overwhelming feeling of everyone in the room, the crashing of the volleyball and the long rallies. It all lived up to the hype and more, you couldn't help but feel like an excited little kid amidst it all. It was wholly, solely, extraordinarily just an unforgettable experience, how so many people's hearts beat as one for the same team and how they cheered in (almost) perfect unison; doing all they can to keep their team fired up for the several long, grueling rounds of back and forth between the net, the only aim of their game being to keep the ball in air and drop it on the other side of the court. You hadn't been admit on Volleyball, at least not as admit as your fiancé or any of his and yours friends; you had never been big on sports, it was just something that didn't widely interest you as you wanted to take other paths in life. Sure, in junior high and high school you had tried out for some of the teams, but nothing really came about it. You'd usually find a way to reason yourself not to show up to practice one day, then continue that train until the coaches and the players forgot your name and face entirely. But now, standing in this stadium and being engulfed by everything made you think; Had you missed out on some of the best years of your life? Had you been foolish not to try one more sport, go to one more practice, get to know one more person?
Maybe the simple answer to that question is yes, had been foolish. Maybe there was a more deep rooted and straining answer that justified your way of doing things. Or maybe, there was no answer at all and that was simply just a opinion biased answer, all keen on a person's morals and outlook. "Just watch as #10, Hinata Shoyo, runs across that court like a hungry wolf ready to get his next point! In combination with number #11, Miya Astumu's, serve he was able to leave the blockers on the Argentina Men's team completely rattled!" A sudden uproar filled the crowds, a rally from those supporting Japan equaled with the upset from those supporting Argentina engulfed the stadium in noise. It was louder than a lion's roar, stronger as well. It invoked fear, yet also dignity and fire in the players down the court and you couldn't help but rally along. It was a powerful, moving thing. Though no matter how many voices pierce and whipped the air of the stadium, Kuroo could always find yours. Kuroo had been situated down on the sidelines of the court, a spot in which he could see the game from the same level as those playing on the court. Being one of sports promoter for Japan Volleyball Association, he always had a spot down on the court's sidelines to feel just a little more connected to the team than the other spectators. It allowed him to get a good feel for how everyone worked together, how the cogs turned and what extra pieces could be substituted or added in to get everything flowing as neatly as it can. When he had first told you about the job offer that the office wanted him to take up, to travel over to the stadium that was hosting the Japan Men's vs Argentina Men's Volleyball game, he would have thought his offer for you joining him would had been declined. You usually didn't come with him to many of the games he had to go to, whether that is to check on the progress of the National's men team or whether that's to go scout out new recruits. You usually would stay home, not finding any interest in the sport but never discouraged him to not go. It had how the two of you had been living since Kuroo obtained his job and you no longer went to go support Nekoma's volleyball games because of him. Yet, you had turned his expectations on his head when you had agreed to come; saying how you needed a break from your job, and how your boss was almost forcing you to take a break soon as you never really used up any of your 'sick days.' Either way, no matter if you decided to come on force of your company or on your own free will, Kuroo was esthetic, and a little prideful, to have you here. So, when you even started cheering, joining in the crowd's big rally to encourage the Japan Men' National team, he couldn't help but beam. His smile grew from ear to ear, turning to look at you and all your immaculate beauty; shouting and cheering like you have loved the sprot since you were a little kid, shouting and cheering like you had done for him when he played with Nekoma. It brought something out of Kuroo, causing his voice to start to bubble deep within his chest and quickly rise; combining together, swirling around and conjoining with all the cheers. Subsequently, he burst out in cheers, joining the rally in supporting the team he helped promote. You had always been able to bring out the best side in Kuroo, and he couldn't ever thank you enough for that.
Tumblr media
"What was that?!" Exclaimed Bokuto as he came hurdling, bouncing over to Kuroo after the adrenaline rushing match. Bokuto couldn't hide his big grin or even bigger, contagious personality which quite literally took up the size of the whole stadium; infecting everyone around him with this positive attitude that wasn't easily shaken off. This rub of influence was most notable in Hinata, Astumu, and Yaku who came to quip and question Kuroo as well, having heard his voice yell so loud and clear for their team; something that did not happen often when Kuroo was off on the sidelines of the court, as he tried to keep a more professional attitude. Kuroo turned to the team, some being his long-term friends other old rivals from when he was in high school, and couldn't help but knew his gut instinct was right; he just knew after his outburst they would be rushing him like confused dogs seeing their owner for the first time, excited to bark and jump on them. "Hey! You were all like- AAAHHHH!" Hinata exclaimed, waving his hands frantically in the air as Yaku and Bokuto where right by his side. They were nodding their heads furiously in agreement, and Kuroo couldn't help but let out a slight chuckle. These guys haven't changed much since highschool, he thought to himself as a snicker grew across his lips. Placing his hands in his pockets, Kuroo leaned back a bit in a suave motion that captured the attention of the three players in front of him. "Let's just say, I brought a little 'reinforcement' that inspired me to go all out this one time." Chuckled Kuroo, his snicker growing ever so slightly when he mentioned you, his little reinforcement. Though Hinata gave him a confused look, subsequently with Bokuto tilting his head to the side and scrunching his eyebrows and nose. And as Yaku stood there in thought, wondering who Kuroo could have meant by reinforcement (he hadn't seen anyone particularly special in the crowds or talking to him, before or during the match) you had made your well-timed entrance. Bokuto had been the first to realize you were coming, as you walking in from behind Kuroo (where you had been seated) and he was quick to extend an arm out. He waved frantically, shouting your name as if you couldn't see the group of four and you had been aimlessly wondering around the stadium in search of them. You chuckled slightly at Bokuto's boosting, which was followed by both Hinata and Yaku greeting you as you drew closer. "Hey, long time no see!" Yaku called as you took your spot next to Kuroo, who had promptly wrapped an arm around your waist and drew you closer to him; it was a subconscious habit he had picked up through all the years the two of you had spent together. You didn't mind, in fact you enjoyed being in his arms. So, you didn't pay him any attention as you waved to the three players in front of you. "Hey Bokuto, Hinata, and Yaku. Crazy game, huh?-" You started, your tone as light was whipped cream yet soft and a little hoarse from all the yelling it had suddenly endured. You usually don't raise your voice any louder than normal speaking volume, so the sudden shouting and screaming, crying like the world was ending anytime they lost a set was something I wasn't used to. That, Bokuto knew well; it was only a given with how much he decided to drop by our house unannounced, or even announced. So, it was no shock to you for Bokuto to notice your voice was a little hoarse, "Hey, hey! What happened to you?!" Bokuto asked, as intrigued as a little child. He leaned forward at looked at you with his eyes, all big and round, like he was still captain of the owls; and you couldn't help but chuckle a little. You reached up and rubbed your soar throat, smiling softly at Bokuto as you tried to reassure him and his concerns. "Ah, nothing. I just haven't shouted that much since I was cheering for Kuroo at Nationals." Having been informed of your decision, a surprising one at that, Yaku was the first to realize who Kuroo had been speaking of!
"YOU'RE THE REINFORCEMENT!" Pointed Yaku, his grin beginning to beam from ear to ear as he now understood why Kuroo had been so excited earlier! Only you were able to break Kuroo's professional attitude on the court sidelines, get him to scream and shout like he had been; bringing out the old captain that rested inside of him, a captain that would always look at you during a match and get even more pumped than he had been. Even when he is on his last leg, thighs burning and stamina all depleted, you where one of the major factors that kept him motivated and kept him running that extra step forward. Realization rang in Boktuo and Hinata, "OH!" They both reeled, looking between you and Kuroo as you couldn't help but become rather perplexed by the sudden events. You rubbed the back of your neck, glancing up at Kuroo with one eyebrow scrunched down and the other cocked upwards. There was a sneaky, questioning smile on your face as Kuroo playfully shrugged his shoulders, acting like he had no idea on what they were talking about. You knew he did though. "You were cheering us on?!" Bokuto roared, fists balled in as all the energy he had lost playing Argentina surged back into his body. Hinata looked as shocked, yet ready as Bokuto did; and for some reason you couldn't help but wonder if your cheering was somehow contagious? "Yeah, I was cheering you guys on. You played an amazing game today!" You laughed gently, waving trying to wave off Bokuto's sudden excitement. Yaku's beam couldn't be brighter, but his face soon turned playful, "What did Kuroo bribe you to get you to cheer? Nevertheless, cheer so loud that Kuroo heard you over everyone else in the crowd? Money? A nice date? maybe something m-" "Alright, Yaku, that's enough!" Kuroo was quick to interject, acting as though he was a knight in shining armor; here to save you from anything that the three players tried to through your way. You couldn't help but roll your eyes at Kuroo antics, the ones you knew the best and loved the most. You silently raised your hand, slowly counting down from three to one. When you lowered your first finger, subsequently reaching zero, Kuroo quipped, "Of course, I wouldn't protest if I was able to get some..." Kuroo started but was quickly shut down with you shoving your hand in his face, effectively making him eat his words. Something that caused Yaku to start to howl with laughter, followed by Bokuto. "Nope." You shut Kuroo down completely, causing him to pout into your hand. He reached up, gently took your wrist into his hand, and brought it down to his chest. He melodramatically tossed his head back, sniffling and pouting like a toddler as he drew up his free wrist to wipe away non-existent tears. "Oh, my dear, you pain me so much!" Kuroo cried wolf, "You're so mean to me and for no reason? Is my love not enough for you, do you need my money too? Listen how my heart aches for you, aches at all your harsh words and aches for your touch!-" "I didn't expect Kuroo to still be this whipped for you 5 years into your relationship." Mumbled Akaashi as he now stood next to Bokuto, who seemed more than (playfully) disgusted at Kuroo's show of affection towards you. Yaku was playfully snicking his finger into his mouth, his tongue drawn out as he fake gagged at the whole situation. You were left shaking your head slightly, bitting back giggles at Kuroo. "You know him, never can over the puppy dog phase." I teased as I drew my hand away from Kuroo's chest, reaching back and tauntingly rubbing his back like a parent trying to soothe their little kid. "I feel bad for him sometimes, thinking he needs to act all cute for affection. It hurts, but nothing I do seems to fix it." Akaashi raised a hand to suppress his chuckle, a small grin having lined his lips as Kuroo looked down at you bum hurt at your statement; maybe he was also hurt that you played along with Akaashi and not him. He was prompt to place a hand on his waist and look away, "Well, at least you love it. I can saw that for sure." Kuroo huffed, causing you to chuckle.
"Yes, I do love your weird, childish antics as much as I love you and your bed head, Tetsurou." I squished Kuroo's face, forcing him to make duck lips so I could entertain myself with his slightly scrunched face. Yaku seemed very much entertained about the duck lips himself as he sneakily took a photo of Kuroo, his camera shutter being the only thing that gave it away. "Shit." Yaku mumbled as Kuroo whipped his head around towards the Libero. "HEY! Yaku what the hell-!?" Subsequently, Bokuto sprung at the chance to try and retrieve the photo from Yaku before Kuroo could take his phone and delete it.

𓂃 ࣪˖ ִֶָ Take on the world.ᐟ. . . (one drive at a time) pt. 1 Tsukishima Kei x Reader | Gender Neutral Reader
ੈ˳ "When I first heard your idea, I thought you were crazy. Run away from practice, get in your car with books and music, and just drive. . ." He let out a heavy huff of air, " . . . it is crazy, and stupid. " But he'll never tell you that he loved your stupid idea. (inspired by stcrmcps)
Tumblr media
Tsukishima sat on the stairs of the Gym, listening to the banter that occurred inside while he hunched over himself; elbows resting on his knees, feet planted firmly into the ground as he stared off towards nothing. His water bottle hung sideways in his hands, pointed downward, as he let out a silent hum at the approaching footsteps. It had been this routine, this simple moment shared between Tsukishima and you, that has kept him sane inside the ridiculous yet passionate world of Volleyball. He didn't spare you a glance as you took a seat next to him on the steps, your feet curling themselves on the last step right before the dirt. He didn't need to look at you to know you look as beautiful as ever, but he did anyway; he was glad that he had done so. He was glad that he noticed the way your lip was curled down ever so slightly, maybe by half an inch or a few centimeters, and then how your eyebrows were frowned upwards. There was some sort of twinkle in your eyes, something that Tsukishima could pinpoint but couldn't describe. He guessed it was some sort of longing, a longing for something different than what the two of you have known for a while. If he was, he wouldn't blame you for that longing.
He's actually been feeling it a little himself, even more so when he glanced away from you and towards the vast emptiness again. The darkening sky towering over the both of you, almost like an invitation for the both of you to go see where the end of the sky was. . .if there was even an end to it. Though of course, Tsukishima, logically, knew that there was no end to the sky; it was an endless wrap of protection from the sun, gaining its color from a reflection from the ocean. But something inside of him, something you usually sparked, tugged him to go see if that science was true; to put everything he knew up to question, maybe just for you or maybe to answer something inside of him. "When are your nationals, Kei?" Your voice cut through the silence the two of you had shared, jerking Tsukishima's attention over to you once more. He took a quick surveillance of your mood, seeing if it had changed from when he first saw you, but he still saw that soft pensive mood on your face. He saw it even more now with how you had rested your head on the palm of your hand, leaving your elbow to be supported by your knee. Your other hand was wrapped around your stomach, your classic thoughtful stance. Tsukishima hummed, "I told you this yesterday, I'm sure you remember." He cocked and eyebrow up at you, a little quip to your loftiness. An attempt to get whatever you were hiding inside out. "Spring?" You mumbled back, not acknowledging his quip as you usually would; causing Tsukishima to shuffle a little in his seat, replanting his feet into the ground. It was also though he subconsciously prepared himself for some sort of news that would shift his world. A possible breakup, a possible diagnoses of a slow life-ending disease, a possible sudden move of prefectures? But he confirmed your ask, "Yes, it's in the Spring." He mumbled, his eyes shifting away from you and instead took to the sky again. Small wisps of clouds floated away overhead, the sun peaking out behind a few building to cast a golden hue over the lands. It was calming. Tsukishima knew you were also taking a moment to thank the sun for its beauty, or at least you were taking a moment to take it in. He knew when you had finished doing so, as you swiftly stood up from your place; standing on the steps of the gym while you stretch up towards the golden-hued sky, taking up as much space as you could to shake off some nerves or possibly just getting your muscles ready. Tsukishima took you in for as long as he could, being more attentive to you than he had the golden-hued sky. He admired you silently, watching as you relaxed once more and subsequently shook your arms a little bit. Wrists flicking, a sign of nerves or too much pent up energy. Tsukishima's lip twitched as he saw yours open, flowing out words he never thought you would say, "Wanna go for a drive?" or something a long those lines that caused his heart to skip a beat. Yet he externally cocked an eyebrow up, your wondering voice trailing as a tell-sign that you didn't want to go for just a drive. He couldn't help the snort that slipped out of his nose, a smirk widening across his face. Now it was him who propped up his face with his hand, staring at you with curious yet questioning eyes; they were almost taunting in a sense, like a cat observing its meal before it pounced. "Where would their highness like to go?" He retorted, "Perhaps to space since that head of yours seems to be in it." He watched as you snickered a little at his comment, fighting off a small bit of laughter that threatened to slip through your lips; you were trying not to give him the satisfaction of your beautiful laughter. Yet he heard the little bit you had repressed, causing him to widen his smirk by a inch or so as he narrowed his eyes, "Indecisive? If I didn't know better, you might actually be suggesting we shot ourselves into space."
"No, no! Of course no." Your laughter had finally slipped through as a countered. Tsukishima always had a thing for your laughter, how it always sounded so genuine and fluffy. It made him slightly whipped, and If he was some sappy man he would have probably said your laughter would light up a room, or rival the brightness of the sun. But he wasn't, so he just admired it from where he sat with a small smirk that was quirked up to the right. "I just," You paused, taking a moment to take in a deep breath through your nose. Tsukishima watched as you let it out, having a feeling that you were still shaking off the nerves of what you wanted to tell him. " I just want to drive; drive far from here with you, music, and maybe some books. I just want to drive and keep driving, see everything the world has to offer and everything it doesn't. I want to drive with you to the end of the sky, if there even is one, and until we run out of gas money. I just. . .I want to see something different, I wanna do something different." Your voice had risen up so suddenly then spilled out all at once, all so suddenly that it sounded like you were almost afraid that it was shove itself back inside; coward away at the fear of rejection. You didn't look down at Tsukishima after you spoke, or even while you spoke, you just kept your eyes up at the sky. You hands had found itself in front of your stomach, you fiddled with them as you waited for Tsukishima's answer. He could tell that your stomach must be in a knot, your brain swirling with the possibility of being rejected by him for reason X or reason Y. Tsukishima could basically feel it coming off you in waves. So, Tsukishima let out a soft hum to let you know he was giving your request a thought; hoping to relieve at least a little of your anxieties with the alert that he was giving your offer even a single thought. Maybe he would have hummed more than once if he was someone different, showing you that he was chewing over your thought multiple times in his head. That he was giving it some real consideration before he answered back to you. To show you that he cared about your opinions no matter how stupid he might think they are; simply because they're your opinions and he cares about you. But no matter how much he loved you, he still loved to tease you even more. "So what, you propose we run away together for weeks on end, not tell anyone where we're going, survive on whatever money we have, and just drive to heaven knowns where?" Snickered Tsukishima as he let out a puff of air, "That sounds like a perfect murder and missing persons case." You let turned to him, almost frowning your eyes as what he said processed in your mind. Though he could tell you didn't take to heart what he said, he could tell by the challenging smile you wore and the glimmer in your eyes. How you suddenly closed your arms and cocked your hip to the side, showing you were ready to argue your point. He loved that about you, you challenged the words of others but not to the point where he would get a headache. It was a nice change to the guys to stood inside that gym, who have no doubt have realized he's gone yet haven't been permitted to go fetch him; most likely thanks to Yamaguchi. "I'm serious, Kei. I want to see so many things in this world and I want to see them with you! Don't you want to go experience everything you thought you couldn't? It could be a mini-vacation, a week or two of us just driving and doing what we what in that moment." You rebutted, your eyes leaving him and looking up at the sky once more. "Sounds like a chaotic mess." Kei snickered as he followed your eyes up to the sky as well. It had mixed into more hues, looking almost like a painting. The blues swirled with the pinks that splashed with the oranges and the yellow dotted around like highlights. The white from the clouds fluffed in the sky, completing it all with a soft touch.
"But a stress-free chaotic mess. One where it's just our company, the open road, and anything that comes along! We can sleep in the car or in a hotel, I've been saving enough money for this-" You were stopped by Tsukishima who couldn't help but laugh, "Your savings for a rainy day don't count, dear-" This time, it was you who cut him off, "I knew you were going to say that so I saved another bank account just for this. We have enough funds to make it at least a week, to and back from where ever we want to go under the sky! I have everything . . . " Tsukishima noticed as your voice trailed off at the end, becoming soft once more. He noticed your pause, how your arms had fallen to your side and your brows frowned together even more. You glanced to him through the side of your eye, before fully turning your attention to him. ". . .everything, but you." Your words caused Tsukishima to stare at you for what felt like several minutes, maybe even more. He wondered if you thought he was analyzing how you presented yourself after that speech, after those 3 words that caused his heart to flutter, even just a little. Tsukishima kept his hazel eyes on you, his lip pressing into the palm of his hand. He let out a huff and turned away from you, looking at nothing again. You couldn't see it, but he hid a small smile under his palm. He would never let anyone but you to see that sort of smile on his lips, he wouldn't even chance it. "Fine, we'll go wherever you'll like the next time we're on break. I'll be all yours," Tsukishima snickered a little, "I'll even miss practice if I have to." And with those words, Tsukishima knew he had made your day. But, what you didn't know, is that you made him excited for that week; he couldn't wait.

And I'll Lie To You Forever (Just To Be Near You)
Francesco/Reader Drabble
TAGS Francesco/Reader, Francesco x Reader, purposefully lying, human!cars universe
Tumblr media
Maybe, this was a mistake. The thought swirled through Francesco’s head as his tired, half-opened eyes stared down at your body; you laid in the bed next to him, soundly asleep and cuddled into his arms. Between the loose hair that fell in front of his view, Francesco watched as your chest peacefully rose up and down; how your face was at complete rest, features settled in their natural positions, a contrast of yesterday night. The sight of the duality of the person that is you, someone Francesco still can’t even begin to fathom is someone who is so real, made him slowly fall for you even more. His stiffened arms relaxed once more around your circled frame, pulling you ever so slightly closer. You fit into him like the missing puzzle piece he has been searching for. Yet, at the same time, a wave of guilt hit his head with a sickening sense of nausea. While you were the best thing that was currently in Francesco's life, you were also one big mistake that Francesco could no longer get himself out of.
He wasn’t sure if it was due to your heritage, not having come from Italy, or if it was just your lack of interest in motorsports, but you had no idea who he was. You didn’t know that you were currently cuddled up in the arms of one of the most famous F1 drivers of all of Italy; that in his free time, Francesco didn’t work a normal 9-5 office job, selling something stupid like printers. You were left in the dark about his real job, and maybe it was for the better. At least that was what Francesco tried convincing himself as he looked back on the first date; your words still clear in his mind. . .
Tumblr media
It was just past 8mp, the average time in which people would partake in dinner, and while Francesco would usually be having it with his mama right now, he wasn't; Instead, he was sat in a fancy restaurant, one in America he has been dying to try, with his breathtaking date across the table from him. He watched as you flipped through the menu of the restaurant. How you carefully analyzed your choices and mentally tabbed where they were located in the menu as you glanced over everything else; all while doing this with the softest smile that has ever grazed the Earth. Usually, Francesco believed that no one could match him in beauty; his ego often showing in the way he presented himself both off and on screen. Yet, you rivaled his long-going thought. You, Francesco knew were more beautiful or handsome. . .or anything, than him. And he accepted this, 100% without question or doubt. From the first moment he was allowed to lay eyes upon you. "So," Your voice cut through the small silence that laid between your table; it wasn't awkward, Francesco thanked, but more thoughtful. It was the usual silence that laid between two people on a first date who were deciding on what to eat. "This might sound cheesy, but if you had one thing you could devote your life to, what would it be?" Your smile crept into a smirk as you closed the menu and placed it down in front of you. Your fingers intertwined together, creating a soft net in which your chin rested upon, all the white your elbows supported your position by being placed on the table. While Francesco's first reaction would have been a quip, a witty remark about how a person with such high standards yourself would have such bad table manners, all he could do was snicker at you. He glanced up and down, a silent qup that he didn't dare to utter out; "I think I know what you like to devote your life to." His voice came out as playful, a little flirty. . .and still a little Francesco. Francesco watched as your eyebrows scrunched together, a gleam of playfulness in your eyes that he couldn't mistake for being the restaurant's light. You were entertaining him, he loved it, "Oh, is that so? Then, Angelo," Francesco was caught off guard for a moment, reeling in there new name that had been tossed into his face. "What am I devoted to in life?" You continued your sentence calmly, your voice bleeding into a playful tease as you shrugged your shoulders up a moment. Francesco hoped that you didn't notice his shocked face, how his eyes had widened slightly or how his pupils became smaller. He chocked back words to correct you, trying to continue on the conversation that currently happening between the two of you. He had forgotten all about the fake name, and subsequently the fake life, he had given you at the bar before the date; It had all but slipped his mind until now. He doesn't remember that night fully, only in dazed and flashed memories that slpped away from him a little too soon before he could process them. It almost felt like a dream, a day he had never actually experienced. Actually, he had even forgotten about this date until he saw the text you gave him (and subsequently scrolled back up through the dozens of texts the two of you had shared the night of.) He didn't know how to tell you he lied to your face. So, he guessed, he'd be having to play this role of a man named Angelo. Frm what Francesco could gather from his texts, 'Angelo' was a man much like Francesco himself; yet built around the key fact of one text you had sent him: "I'm not really into motorsports." That's what Angelo was framed around. Angelo, the fictional CEO of Franceso's sponsor. Angelo, the suave man who had captured your heart. Angelo, who was too much like Francesco yet. . .in whole, wasn't at all; all because the biggest part of Francesco that Angelo was missing was Francesco's love of racing.
"You seem like. . .you'd get a PhD in something related to marine animals. . .or how you have such outrageously awful table manners." Francesco quipped, snickering as it finally came out. He watched as your eyes glanced down at your elbows before you quickly retracted them. You placed your hands firmly on your lap, a slight flush dusting on your cheeks. Your reaction caused Francesco to chuckle, finding your actions more than adorable. For you, Francesco will be Angelo. He will be Angelo for as long as your heart burns for Angelo, and in turn burn for Francesco. . .even if it was just a little.

"Serving: Side Order"
CHATPER 2 | " Bay "
[O.Sci.L] " The others had been nothing short but failures, we need a new body. Find me a fresh one, a healthy one this time; make sure they can withstand the trails that will come ahead of them and don't fail me this time. "
[O.Sci.3] " Yes, sir. "
[O.Sci.L] " You don't know how much time we have. We need to prefect this. "
[O.Sci.3] " Understood. We'll acquire all the materials that you need. "
Tumblr media
2 YEARS PRIOR, there was no need to consume yourself in harrow or alarm; with a vibrant city, colorful personalities, and joyous vibrations that echoed throughout everyone, there was no room sorrow. The sound of laughter rang in the air like a melody, chatter scattered throughout the streets, and friends played as though there would be no tomorrow. Competitions sprung in light-hearted manners as the jellyfish manning at the Deca Tower had no room for a lunch break with the constant rotation of Inklings and, the new, Octolings. Everything was right where it needed to be, it needed to change or forceful "fixing".
" They're heading in to the base, left field. "  Spoke an Octoling in a low voice, motioning towards left of the turf field, being stationed with a E-Liter at a eagle-eye advantage point. In a matter of seconds, the target had been disposed of by a teammate of theirs; who showed no remorse by beaming from pointed ear to the next, loving the feeling he gets from being in the middle of a turf war. After a while of uptight battles and competitions, he's finally been able to learn to let loose and enjoy battling a lot more. Though the team, as a whole, has not learned such a motive; being more so true with their leader—who has gotten better, yet still held a more than competitive nature.
With a cackle, said Leader slid out of the opposing team's firing range allowing their younger Brother to jump out of the ink behind the team, landing the final blows to their back; effectively getting a "Wipe Out" on the opposing team. A silent cheer was shared between the Turf Team as they reclaimed as much land as possible; their feet never touching the enemy ink as all that was purple was covered with yellow. They paid no mind to the respawning team, who tried to rush forward yet had been quickly stopped by the blow of a whistle, dictating that the match was over and the score will be tallied to announce the winners.
Though every Octoling and Inkling standing on that field already knew who had won.
" Sorry, not sorry. " Sniggered the Leader, piercing the opponent's team leader with a glare. It was one of mockery, one that simply had disrespect written all over it. The Leader rolled their neck, cracking a few bones as they stretched up, " But this match is ours. Don't worry though, you and your 'teammates' were good enough practice for us! " The Octoling weaponized with an E-Liter walked over from their spot, just in time to hear the rambling of their Leader to the opposing team.
They couldn't help but glance to the side, shaking their head slightly; This is how it always seemed to go after a turf war match, epically ones that their team has clearly won. " Alright, that's enough.. " Noticing the rage stirring in the opponents, flaring up and spilling out as though flood gates were about to crack open against the pressure of an overflowing river. The Leader turned to one of their most trusted teammates, wrinkling their nose a little as their hands where placed on their hips. With a cock of an eyebrow up from the Octoling, the Leader scoffed a little.
They waved off the Octoling and the other team, dismissively, " Alright, alright! Just saying, this defeat is going to be more than crushing for them! " And with that, the Leader began to walk back towards their base; the Inkling using a Clashblaster, and their little Brother following in tow so the match could end. The Octoling glanced back over at opposing team, giving them a small wave before following after the rest of their team; yet the Octoling could tell that their attempt of pleasantries was not going to accepted in the way they had hoped—thanks to the Leader.
Judd and lil' Judd were quick to announce the winners of the turf war, the resulting being pulled up for both teams to see as soon as they got back to the Deca Tower. To no one's suprise, the opposing team had lost the Turf War match: 94.3% to 5.7%. It was blowing defeat to the other team's self-esteem while the winners celebrate their win rather loudly; the Leader crossed their arms and beamed, as their little Brother and the Clashblaster user started talking about a victory feast for their 27th win in a row against randoms in Turf War.
" I think we can go to that new café that just opened next to the Deca Tower! " Beamed the little Brother, causing the Clashblaster to shake his head; not agreeing with the more downscaled dining option for their feast. The Leader listened as the Clastblaster exclaimed how they should instead go to the Crust Bucker instead! This cause a scrunch of the nose by the younger Brother, yet before he could protest the Octoling stepped forward.
They were swift in doing so, " Hey, I'm going to sit this one out. I have to catch the next train to Splatsville; I need to help a friend move into their apartment. " The Octoling pointed their thumb towards the exist of the Deca Tower, hoping their team didn't mind their last-minute ditch of plans; after all, it's not like they purposefully made these plans to ditch any dinner plans with their team.
The younger Brother nodded, giving the Octoling a softer smile, remembering that the they had shared their plans with the team earlier in the day. " Have safe trip, Bay! We'll save you some of your favorites for when you get back! " The Clashblaster nodded, giving Bay a thumbs up and a toothy grin.
" Don't hurt yourself! " The Leader stated as their arms fell to their side and a joking glint was catch in their eyes. " The torment is only a few weeks away, we can't have our main-man not on the field with us. " Bay shook their head in response to their teammates responses, yet offered them a small smile. They waved the team off as they began to leave Deca Tower, knowing that the younger Brother and Clashblaster user were going to go back to their small tussle; slowly driving the Leader insane to the point where they make the final decision of going to the Crust Bucket. This always seemed to happen, though Bay always tries to make it up to the younger Brother by eating breakfast with him before matches.
Tumblr media
" Hey, has anyone heard from Bay? " The younger Brother spoke up, walking over to the rest of the team with a drink in hand; he had been able to get his usual smoothie from the small café near the Deca Tower per usual, though had the strangest feeling about Bay that morning while waiting in the line. Maybe it was just him missing the E-Liter main, as they were always like an older sibling to him; yet for some reason, his brain was rather quick to dismiss that option of reason.
The Leader and Clashblaster main both turned to the younger Brother, a slight confusion shared between them as a single thought was shared. " I thought Bay was keeping communications with you. " The Leader quizzed, pointing at the younger Brother with a cock of his eyebrow. Though his questioning look was met with a simple shake from the younger Brother, as he had not heard a word from bay since the day they had left.
" I thought they were keeping in touch with you. " Gesturing towards the Leader, the Younger Brother frowned their eyebrows as concern began to dawn into their face. The Leader promptly shook their head in return, denying their younger Brother's assumption. They haven't heard anything from Bay either.
The Clashblaster glanced between the two, " Well Bay defiantly wouldn't have contacted me!… I don't even know if they have my number. " He smiled a little, trying to bring some humor back into the group. Yet the Leader nor the younger Brother seemed to be amused with his comment; a comment in which usually would have gained the chuckle of the younger Brother or Bay. So he hushed for a moment, allowing the leader and younger Brother their moment to think about what Bay could be up to, and why they haven't contacted the group at all.
They weren't leaving, the two knew that one for sure; They would have just outright told the rest of the group that instead of ghosting them. They were a direct person when it came to important matters, especially those that would have a grave impact on the stability of the team. This allowed any personal issues between a teammate and Bay or Bay quitting to be crossed out of the reason pool. The leader kept their eyes on their younger Brother, who was glancing off to the side with an anxious look as he knew this was not like Bay; leaving without a notice and disappearing off the face of the planet.
" Maybe they got arrested!- " Started the Clashblaster again, but he was quickly hushed by an Off-The-Hook announcement; their original broadcasting had been playing in the background of the team's chatter for quite some time now, yet the team had ignored it up till this moment.
" A few days ago, an Inkopolis Square residence going by the name of 'Bay' has gone missing. " Marina, the second idol of Off-The-Hook, announced; a look of horror slowly swallowing her face as Pearl, who was sat in a beanbag chair next to Marina, stared at Marina with wide eyes; not expecting that their 'extra news segment' would be about reporting a missing Octoling. " Bay is a young Octoling, around the age of 18. She was hearing a white, rain-coat like coat paired with black leggings and white sneakers when she went missing. Bay's family claims that Bay was taking a train to Splatsville the day they disappeared; Camera footage from the Inkopolis Square Train Station shows footage of Bay boarding their train, yet eye witness states that they never saw them enter the train or get off at their supposed stop. If you have any information about Bay or their whereabouts, please report all information to the police at your convivence. Bay's family and friends hope to have them return back home safe and sound. "

" Serving: Side Order "
Tumblr media
SUMMARY
Sometimes, it is up to the imagination to dictate what is reality; if you believe in a dream hard enough, wishing upon the stars to bring you said wish, the universe will always find a way to make that happen. Yet, the collective mass of one wish can outway the other wish, causing the other to be lost into time. “ CHAOS REIGNS! ” was chanted across Inkopolis Square as the results of the final splatfest- Chaos vs. Order- was announced for every Inkling and Octoling to hear. A collective mass cheered, a wish having been granted to those who had won… and a wish having been forgotten to those who had lost; Two wishes that had burned as brightly as the stars, one fell to Earth, and the other slowly died out… sitting in wait and longingly. A star that soon sparked away with a wish; a wish for order. A wish that was not the same at the start. A wish that was collected and cultivated, burning brighter than its sister star of chaos, causing events that could not be reversed… events which caused the destruction of reality, fiction, and time.
NOTES
Serving Side order is a fanfiction created by Tee (xoxowritingclub), influenced by Nintendo’s upcoming DLC for Splatoon 3: Side Order. A lot of things for this fanfiction are speculations for the story of Side Order, combining many theories (like ChaoticArcade’s on youtube) with my own. All characters and original story line of Splatoon, minus Agent 7 (the reader), are owned by Nintendo. Aspects of the storyline of Side Order are credited to their original owners.

" Serving: Side Order "
CHAPTER 1 | PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT
The end of the beginning, Inkopolis Plaza is under an immediate evacuation notice due to the strange sightings of Octolings and Inklings; Deepcut broadcasted this warning, along with a warrant for another group associated with these Octoling and Inklings.
Tumblr media
“ Splatsville, you lip sync and we drip ink, we’re Deep Cut and Anarchy Splatcast is live! ” The Television screens broadcasted Deepcut, after their short introduction, as residents of splitsville took a pause in their activities. They turned their attention over to one of the monitors, to the idols of Splatville; who had gone live sooner than they usually would in their 2-hour news cycle.
“ We have an important announcement to make, so listen up! ” Frye shouted, pointing at the camera as her other hand balled. There was a silent panic that the idols shared, a panic that began to slowly waver off from the television screens and cloud in the streets. Inklings and Octolings share a look of confusion, some of fright, as their idols quickly continued:
“ Ay! (That’s right!) ” Big Man nodded, allowing Shiver to quickly pick up on the news; they were the calmest out of the 3, the clearest choice to present the global news.
Though there was a hesitation they had to fight, “ There have been sightings of strangely colored Octolings and Inklings on the outskirts of Inkopolis Square; we are unaware of what they want, what they are doing, or who they might be working with. All Travel, other than leaving Inkopolis Square, has been banned to keep citizens safe. ”
The collective confusion, mixed with fright, slowly began to sink into the skin of Inklings and Octolings as horror and alarm; wide eye stares were shared between the masses outside, Turf wars and Anarchy battles were put on a pause at the sudden broadcasting. An alert to the citizens of the current news that could affect plans, moods, and most importantly lives. A broadcast that wasn’t just shown in Splitsville yet globally, as any other idol available had been busy with another task to promote this need for awareness.
“ There is no need for panic, ” Shiver continued, trying to keep as calm as they could while delivering such news, “ We employ everyone to be as aware as they can, to help everyone around you and help defuse this situation.
If you see a strange Inkling or Octoling, such as this one, ” Shiver gestured to the monitor that Big Man stood behind with their fan. Sister images appeared, two of an octoling and two of an inkling, each image holding an oddity of the person standing inside it; either them being purely white or their colors being heavily desaturated, like they were dragged through the mud before being washed off. “ If you see one, it is advised to run in the other direction. Do not approach or interact with them. They could be hostile, dangerous to the average Inkling or Octoling. ”
Shiver soon tapped their little wooden box with their fan, causing the image on the monitor to change once more. This time, a symbol not known to many appeared in front of a purely black screen. The symbol held a squid in the middle with two riffle-looking guns on either side, with the left riffle pointing to the right and the right rifle pointing to the left, crossing over each other. It was the symbol for Squidbeak.
The moment the symbol had been shown, agents from Squidbeak took a pause and glanced over at the nearest screen; their eyes slightly wide at the upcoming mention of their secret group.
Shiver hesitated, almost biting their tongue, as they chewed out, “ An unknown group of agents have been fighting these Octolings and Inklings from the sidelines. There is no known name for these heroic agents, all we know as that they go by numbers instead of names.” There was a sudden realization that rang from Agent 2, who stood next to 1, as they noticed something off by Shiver’s presentation. Not something, but multiple things.
First, it was the mention of their group in the first place; there had been no alert or consideration of telling Squidbeak beforehand of the announcement of their group. That is something unlike for Deep Cut to do, as even if they didn’t explicitly tell Squidbeak they would have mentioned it due to how much they chatted and how easily information can slip from their lips. Second, Frye and Big Man couldn’t face the camera as Shiver spoke, and at times Shiver would glance off themselves; there was something inside them that swirled and bashed in their minds, yelling at them that their actions were wrong. It was shown in the body posture and the silence.
“ I don’t like where this is going… ” 2 murmured to herself, her stare at the monitor turning into a glare; a question popping into her head and ‘What ifs’ growing like a storm that wouldn’t leave her alone until an answer was reached. Unlike 2, 1 beamed as she clasped her hands together, “ I love it! Our group is finally getting the recognition that it deserves. Gramps and Cap’t are going to be so proud. ” 2 gave 1 a side glance, though said nothing in return to her comment. Instead, she turned her attention back to the big screen, making sure that they were both hidden.
“ Agent 3, who also goes by Neo 3, the young inkling accompanied by their small fry that they have named ‘Little Buddy’, ” As Shiver began to read off names of the agents a picture of them was shown in the monitor, “ 4, an older inkling who’s status as a full member of the group is in question but is often seen carrying modified dualies. 8, an Inkopolis octoling residence who’s been seen working nights or shifts at Grizoco. Agent 7, a newer employment wise yet older age wise sealing. Lastly, their Captain, old Agent 3, who’s not been seen many times around Inkopolis or Splatville. ” As they finished reading the teleprompter in front of them, Shiver looked down at the ground; they were aware, as the other idols were, that said agents were most likely looking at them right now… and they couldn’t be more shameful of themselves.
“ Other agents may be working with those who are unknown. Police have not deemed them a threat, yet if you happen to see them they do employ you to report your sighting, so these agents can be questioned; They might have information on the current situation. ” Shiver paused, taking a moment to breathe after ratting out some of their friends and boss. Sitting next to Shiver, Frye could tell that they were hesitant to continue the splatcast.
In which Frye took over so they didn’t have to, “ Inkopolis Square is under an emergency evacuation order. All Octolings, Inklings, Jellyfish, and other sealings are being ordered to leave the Square at once and take refuge in another city for the time being. That’s all the news we have for Splitsville and Inkopolis, remain safe sealings. ”
There was no usual “Catch you later!” outro for the Splatcast, instead it ended with a bright red screen with the warning, “ All Inkopolis Square residents and citizens, please evacuate the city. ”, written in bold black letters under a warning symbol.
The silence was thick, needing more than a butter knife to be able to cut it, and was shared with all the cities as most sealings could only stare at the monitor; unsure what to do with themselves at this moment in time. It was like a hurricane, or a natural disaster, had been blasted in their face, saying their homes, cities, friends, and family were all in trouble and could possibly be destroyed; actually, it wasn't like that, it was exactly that minus the weather-aspect of all of this. They didn't fully know what was happening or what could happen.
Even the agents had stood still for a moment, none in current life-threatening danger, with wide eyes. They were all unsure what to think or what to do, what would happen to their group, themselves, or their fellow agents with this warrant out for them. They had been pushed between a rock and a hard place, surrounded in enemy ink with guns pointed at all sides of them. If they continued their job there would be a chance that they’d be taken in and questioned, if they didn’t… who knows what would happen to all the citizens of Inkopolis, Splatville, and the other surrounding cities.
“ We need to get to Cap’t and Gramps. ” 2 broke the choking silence, slowly turning her attention towards her sister; who just continued to stare at the bright red screen with small pupils, horror lacing her eyes and strangling her. All 1 could manage to do was nod before 2 took her hand and swiftly made their escape before they had been spotted by any unwanted, prying eyes.
As they left, 1 mustered all the courage she could to break the tight bonds of horror shackled around her to send an alert to all the Agent’s headset; alerted everyone to come back to Alterna for an urgent meeting or before the public or police saw them.
