A/N: changed the title cause i thought it was too boring.... Hhhhh..... Trying not to take too much inspiration from @pjsk-writin's version of this prompt....😣Its so worrying when someone requests the same prompt of something that ive read someone else do..... Hopefully this isnt too similar... Anyway, hi anons! I was so surprised when I checked my inbox and found that two people had requested the same thing :0 hopefully this satisfies your guys' expectations! Sorry if it's a bit short... I think I'd do better if this was a oneshot... Its not my proudest work but im still happy with how it turned out

Kamishiro Rui:

he probably planned his proposal like 6 months prior

You couldn't tell, but he was actually a bit nervous when he proposed

Hes just good at hiding things

I feel like he'd try to make his own ring

I heard it's common for Japanese people to do that

He definitely asked his troupemates for advice and help for his proposal

He thought it would be super special if he proposed to you on your guys' anniversary, so thats just what he did

So imagine this

Just like a normal date, he takes you out to Phoenix Wonderland, maybe to go eat something

If youre the quiet/shy type then he'll maybe take you to watch the sunset or go stargazing if you like that kind of thing

he'll glance at you for a second to make sure you aren't paying attention, and then quietly whip the ring box out from his pocket

“Ahem. Y/N,”

He starts, his right knee planted into the ground as he holds the box in his left hand

“My love, ever since I met you, my life has only changed for the better. You've brightened up my everyday, so would you brighten up the rest of my days by marrying me?”

He offered you that kind and genuine smile as he patiently waited for a response

Once you said yes, he was over the moon, and immediately pulled you into a tight embrace as he mumbled how happy he was at your answer, as if he was expecting you to say no

He plants a sweet kiss to your forehead and holds your hand and gently slides the ring on your finger tightly before turning you back towards the sky so the two of you could finish watching the sunset/stars

Now, if you like being the center of attention and is more extroverted, again, he'll take you to Phoenix Wonderland all the way to the Wonder Stage

After sitting your confused self down, he pecks your lips and tells you to wait a moment

Several seconds later, the curtains open, revealing Rui and his signature grin

“My dear Y/N,”

He speaks, his voice booming across the park as his eyes focus on you

“Do you know what today is?”

If you say yes, then his will light up and his grin will grow wider

If you say no, then he'll simply walk to the end of the stage and whisper that it's your guys' anniversary

Suddenly, a bunch of tiny cute robots of your favorite things(animals, maybe even food xD, etc) come and surround you, each holding a different kind of flower

As your eyes shifts to said robots, he takes this opportunity to take the tiny box out of his pocket and kneel down on one knee

Cue the quote from earlier: “My love, ever since I met you, my life has only changed for the better. You've brightened up my everyday, so would you brighten up the rest of my days by marrying me?”

Once you say yes, he will swoop you up in his arms and kiss your knuckles before putting the ring around youre finger

He'll then order his robots to let out bunches of confetti and flowers everywhere

A wonderful occasion is deserving of a wonderful celebration, is it not?

Tenma Tsukasa:

we all know Tsukasa has to do something grand and extra for his proposal

Definately took him forever to choose a ring for you

He eventually did, though everytime he sees it, he thinks he could've found something better

Would be 100% confident that youre going to say yes to marrying him

100% asked his troupemates for help as well

For his proposal, as mentioned before, he has to do something grand

So what does he do?

He begs asks you to play the role of a princess in one of his upcoming shows

If your the introverted quiet type, then he'll just ask you to practice with him

If your the more extroverted type, then he'll ask you to actually play the role

So, you guys were putting on the show in front of the usual audience

Was actually nervous when he came up with the play

He was afraid that it wasnt good enough, and that you deserved something more grand

Stayed up ALL NIGHT everyday practicing

He could not mess this up

Tsukasa was the knight, and you were the princess

At the end of the show, the knight saves the princess, and the ending dialogue is supposed to be, “As a knight, it's my duty to protect your life with my own! For I cannot call oneself a knight if I fail to make such a commitment.”

But, instead of ending the show with that, he then reached into his pocket and took out a shiny blue box

“Making sure your safety is ensured and protecting you is the best job I could ask for. But, my dear princess, may I request another job from you? May I have the honourable job of becoming your prince?”

He smiles as he looks into your shocked eyes. The audience is as silent as a fish as theyre eyes are focused on the two of you, waiting for an answer

Once you say yes, his smile only brightens as he takes your hand in his and puts the ring on before he pulls you into a bear hug and spins you around, elated

The crowd erupts with cheers and claps at the ending of a perfect show

Aoyagi Toya:

definitely the calmest one on the list

His proposal is simple but sweet

Asked Vbs for advice

Specifically Akito

Asks way too specific questions and sometimes hesitates like “Should I do it in the night or the morning? Should I really do it now? What if she says no?”

Honestly if he didn't ask them, he'd have no clue on how to propose

Was kind of nervous when he bought the ring

Like Tsukasa, he felt that you wouldn't like it or it could be better

On the day of his proposal, you notice him glancing and smiling at you more than usual

If you ask him about it, then he'll just say it's nothing

He's not exactly the best at keeping secrets

Like Rui, his proposal was like a normal date

Depending on what you like better, he'd probably make a picnic, or take you on a cafe or arcade date

He glances over at you and makes sure you're eating or distracted while he pulls the ring out from his pocket

“Y/N.”

He calls, grabbing your attention

One your attention is shifted towards him, he smiles and opens the box in his hand, getting down on one knee

“You know, I never thought I could smile so often until you entered my life. You put a smile on my face on my worse days. And for that, I want to repay you. I want to be by your side for the rest of our days. Y/N, will you marry me?”

He patiently waited for an answer as he looked at you with his kindest, most innocent smile

Once you say yes, you cant help but notice how much his smile has grown

He then takes your hand kisses your ring finger, before sliding the ring onto it

He pulls you into a hug as he nuzzles his head in your hair

“I'm so glad you said yes.”

Though his voice was muffled, you could still hear the happiness embedded in it

He said that as if he expected you to say no

Shinonome Akito:

by far the most nervous one

By far the most insecure one when picking the ring

100% asked Toya and Kohane for help even though Toya wouldn't know a thing

70% asked An for help

He knows hes gonna get teased when he tells her he wants to propose

Was hella nervous and stuttered so much on the day of his proposal

He literally almost gave it away a few times

It would be after an event/concert

Immediately after, he would go search for you in the crowd as everyone else leaves the building

You usually always stay afterwards to talk or tell him good job anyway

After he finds you, he would take your hand and look down slightly, his cheeks turning pink

“So... Uh..”

He'd stutter for a bit before placing his hand in his pocket, checking for the box

“I... Wanted to tell you that...”

He then kneels down on one knee and takes the box out, almost dropping it as he tries to form eye contact but fails miserably

“You're... The most important person in my life and.... I always feel like I can go to you when I've had a bad day or when I need someone to talk to or anything! A-And... I don't know if this is too much to ask since you already do so much for me b-but.... Will..... Will you marry me?”

His eyes wander anywhere but yours, nervously and impatiently waiting for your answer with anticipation

Once you say yes, he'll blink a few times, internally asking himself if he heard that right

“R.... Really?”

He smiles and is about to pull you into a hug before he remembers the ring

Hesitantly, he takes the ring and slides it onto your finger, staring at it for a good five seconds before a giddy smile curls onto his lips

“W.... Wow... I've.. Always dreamed of this day..”

Well on the subject of Itto, I headcanon him being 6'6 ft tall... Why??? Because it makes his voiceline about everybody shorter than him being a child really funny. 🤣 Also because he beeg and you can't convince me otherwise SDLFJSDLJGSLDGSD OOOOH Okay this one is very much a headcanon i have for pure self indulgence: So my two genshin blorbos of main focus are Zhongli and Diluc right? I like to headcanon that, at some point after Diluc was nearly killed by the harbingers, he collapsed somewhere near Liyue harbor (His injuries probably weren't directly related to the Harbinger ones, tho it depends on the amount of time it's taken between That incident and him being in Liyue, I think I came up with this idea LONG before i really understood a lot of what Diluc actually did away from home xD) he's found and carried to Liyue, where he's tended to, probably by Baizhu cause I love Baizhu, and recovers. Its here he's visited by Zhongli. Zhongli knew Crepus. Not super well! They weren't besties or nothin, but Crepus would be in Liyue, and Zhongli would be in Liyue, both of them having some level of prestige, Zhongli through his job and Crepus through his Titles, ended up meeting. They would talk and of course that means Zhongli heard about Diluc. Beyond that even, Zhongli was probably vaguely aware of Diluc's existence just from the fact that Crepus is a Ragnvindr, which means gossip/news on his family spreads potentially across the globe. (And maybe Zhongli checked in once in a while out of honor to a dear friend he hadn't seen in five hundred years...) ANYWAYS. Zhongli introduces himself and mentions he knew Crepus. A grieving Diluc probably asks for more information without really knowing if he wants more info or not. Its through this that Zhongli learns of Crepus's passing, and Diluc being less well put together from his injuries, ends up confessing to having hurt Kaeya. He despairs of ever being able to make up for it, to which Zhongli is surprisingly quiet and attentive before finally speaking up: "...Life is short, like the flower, it blooms for a season, blossoms in all its color and beauty, and then it shrivels away on the winds, nothing left of it but the Sweetness of memory." He pauses. "If you care about your brother, than return to him, confess your wrong doings, and don't let the burden of you mistakes carry until such a time as the ability to do something about them is force-ably taken away from your hands." The mans smile is soft, but sad. Not in a pitying way, and not in a way that is even directed at Diluc, if anything, he seems thousands of miles away. "There are fewer burdens, and fewer regrets, that can weigh heavier." This of course creates a fun dynamic to play around with if Lumine or other events drag Diluc to Liyue later >:D As for AU's I can give you two I've dwelled on!: Number one is an Inazuma rewrite, but I bring in a party of my chosing. I started this one before I played the game, so I didn't exaclty understand what went down in the INazuma plot, but Man I was having fun so xD THe party of choice in this case was Zhongli, Diluc, Thoma, and of course Lumine. I had fun with this idea because it allowed Zhongli and Diluc to function in the plot, and Thoma would be WAAAAY more involved as well. I didn't iron out Loads of details, but I wanted there to be a big confrontation between Lumine and Zhongli based off the fact that Azhdaha's quest happened before Inazuma, and before that was uh. THe reveal of Khaenri'ah. Needless to say Lumine's not exactly feeling the greatest about Zhongli. But she considers him a friend, or at least wants too. Zhongli is dealing with the sting of a pre-inazuma plot confrontation from Lumine, where she confessed that she'd have a hard time trusting him if he kept keeping secrets and he couldn't explain himself.

The two of them were planned to get into a huge fight that ALMOST gets physical. But Diluc stops them (Something something he knows making the mistake of attacking someone you love out of fear and broken trust 🙃) This ends up splitting the party for a while, Diluc going off with Zhongli, and Thoma staying with Lumine. Ultimately I wanted this to end with Zhongli getting to have a bit Showdown with Raiden Shogun, essentially kinda getting to brute force his way into her grief. I always loved the idea of the woman who can't move on from grief talking with the man who has suffered so much grief but still lives, this would kinda allow that, it would also allow for Zhongli to be a little bit of a father figure to Ei in her frustrations and grief. Also it would be hilarious if Inazuma kinda knew Rex Lapis was alive... but he kinda saved all their butts, so nobody's going to out him xD This would essentially spiral into a lot of canon divergence plots and development for the cast of characters that's just, not in canon? But man I still think it'd be so fun :D Also Diluc and Ei eventually become friends through this adsflJSFLSJDLGJSLDGJSDGSDG. I think they could help each other :) The SECOND AU is one where, Diluc, on his journey, ends up getting stuck in Inazuma before he can get home. So diluc is visionless, Has the Delusion, and is not in good health. Itto ends up finding him passed out on a beach, drags him back to Granny Oni's, and his gang nurse him back to health all while assuming Diluc was a victim of the Vision hunt decree (i think the vision hunt decree is pretty recent in canon?? This would be an AU where the timeline got bumped up, probably Raiden starts off a lot slower with the vision hunts, only taking a few of them once in a great while to further "eternity" Until she spirals bad enough to start taking them all.... IDK its rough but workable maybe xD) THis AU is mostly for letting Itto bully Diluc into loving himself among other things xD and the angst of it taking even longer for Diluc and Kaeya to reunite...... WHich i would defo make them reunite when Lumine comes over to finally end the Vision hunt decree soooooooooo >:3 Diluc ends up getting adopted by the Arataki gang, by EVERY member, and he's not happy about it (He is, he's just a freaking tsundere)

Clyde Logan: Big Daddy treats y’ somethin’ good... if you didn’t know, Clyde is a bit of a sugar-fiend. he loves to take you out for a nice brunch, a fancy place by the river, with bottomless mimosas and sweet treats you can’t get enough of. gets some sugary syrup on your lips, he will gladly lick it off while you nuzzle into one another. lots of sweet pastries-cakes-muffins-creampies.

Charlie Barber: everything is art, a performance. everything Charlie does has its purpose in his artistic vision, including anything he does for you. when he sees you feeling down, he loves to book the two of you art classes. letting you recharge and retreat back to your roots. watercolor-acrylic-body painting-pottery-silent hours-anything that gets the creative juices flowing for the both of you when you’re in a funk.

Jamie Massey: much like Charlie, his revolve around a getaway for the senses. of course-it will be filmed, it is Jamie. something he clings to from his marriage to Darby is purging the soul every once in a while. for the both of you to reconnect as one-he books you a trip. complete with a tent, blanket, some guitars, and plenty of natures sweet treats. (drugs, he takes you on Acid trips guys)

Rick Smolan: unfortunately, he's away so much. so to make it up to you when you’re feeling down, Rick takes you on vacation! yes, its somewhere he’s been before. but he doesn’t care because he’s there for pleasure. not work, your favorite spot right now is Everest, its taken a few months of preparation but the two of you are determined to make it to the top. sharing the moment of pure-euphoria and human spirit together, thats how he spoils you rotten.

Kylo Ren (Triplet AU): he doesn’t trust women, or men, or animals, or the sky, and definitely doesn’t trust gift giving. if someone tries to give him something that means horrible things are going to happen, so he buys nothing for people. the few times he’s given gifts, they’ve backfired on him. who knew women didn’t like exotic reptiles in an unsuspecting basket? if he’s desperate, he will run to a jewelry store and slap down his credit card, barking at the person behind the counter what your favorite colors are and they throw back a bracelet or ring that he then gives you. usually he’s blushing profusely when he hands it over, saying that it’s not gonna hurt you. trying to push you away when you try and kiss him thank you-thank you-thank you once you’ve stopped crying over the diamonds.

Ben Solo (Triplet AU): can you wear it? check. can he rip it off? check. bonus points if he can eat it too, most of his gifts are based around the four basic Benji needs: Food-Fucking-Frolicking-Frogs, the boy loves frogs. be prepared for horrible frog statues in your yard (like gnomes but-frog)

Matthew Organa-Solo (Triplet AU): he’s not as stupid as his brothers, doesn't have an aversion to gift giving and doesn’t make it all about sex. he wants to give you something that makes you smile, and he finds that when you’re together somewhere new it makes you feel better. so once a month, you and Matty pack the car and go on a road trip! you’re trying to make it to every National Park in America-complete with different kitchy gifts that make you both smile.

Maurizio Gucci: Daddy filled up your credit card this morning, and got you a new baby-pink leather checkbook. anything you want, he gets it for you. exotic wines and cheeses, silks and furs, a brand new purse that hasn’t been on the runway yet. cars-mopeds-motorcycles, even though you don’t drive. Daddy doesn’t let you lift a finger.

Phillip Altman: gifts are no fuckin’ sweat to this gremlin, he knows you inside and out. and what makes you the happiest? spending time with him babygirl, so the best thing he can do is spoil you with days of love making. pinning you to the mattress, lounge chair, couch, counter, hood of the Porsche. until your full of cum and drained of your tears. Oh! and he loves taking you to concerts, the way you get all giddy and squeal when he hands you tickets to your favorite band makes his heart hurt.

Paterson: poetry, that reminds him solely of you and how you make him feel like a different man. flowers, farmers market trips, walking your pet cat together (he doesn’t want another dog), picnic’s in the park, and lots and lots of notes around the house from him so you know how much he loves you.

Adam Sacker: buying gifts is a waste of time when he can do it himself, he can make some wood frame for a silly picture the two of you took at a carnival. or reinforce some furniture you’ve been complaining about, maybe even build a new canopy bed frame for you, stained and everything! being a handyman and a soft soul means he can do whatever and he still gets rewarded.

Toby Grisoni: he doesn’t buy you ‘gifts’, instead he takes you on experiences. including you on his trips around the world for filming, he likes taking you dancing in the lavish cities you stay in, a bit of a hopeless romantic if he is feeling like it. and scarves, lots of scarves for you to tie him up with at the end of a long day.

The Founders with a s/o who’s a scientist during an outbreak

So this request was made by anon and it’s kinda similar to the previous one (you can read it here), but this time I’ll be back to the traditional list of hcs and we’re going to have all the Founders and not just Tobirama. Besides, as I wrote it, it slowly turned into some kind of AU, so I hope you don’t mind XD

I also want to dedicate this post to the anon who came to my ask box weeks ago to vent about their current circumstances and stress and requested hcs for the Grandpas wth a s/o who was going through intense burnout. I’ve made a little confusion and repied that the other request (Tobirama with a surgeon s/o) was dedicated to them, but I was actually talking about this one 🙈

This is not the first time in your life that you face burnout, but it is the worst as far as you can remember

The decease has been spreading faster than you and your colleagues can work to develop a vaccine, and with all the demands from the population, the government and the media you feel like the weight of the world is all on your shoulders

You know that you’re doing a noble work and are sure that if you had to carry this all by yourself you would not have reached so far

But lucky you, you don’t have to: you have Hashirama

This decease is not a particular problem to him thanks to his supernatural healing factor, but the same cannot be said about you

And that’s why he worries about you every morning when you leave the house, and every night when you come back

Being the empathetic person he is, Hashirama keeps giving all his support to the scientific community by donating genetic material to some of the most important laboratories in order to accelerate the development of the medication

But to you, the best help he can offer is being by your side

He listens to you every time you say you can’t take this anymore

He cleans everything and runs you a bath when you are so tired you can stand on your feet

He does whatever can to keep you distracted during the few hours when you’re out of the laboratory, so you don’t lose your mind

You cannot think of something you could do to thank him for all he does 💜

Tobirama 🌊

Tobirama works in the same team as you at the Research Division, and to be honest he’s almost as exhausted as you with everything that’s happening

However he won’t admit as long as he can keep hiding it

This only changes when, after days without enough rest and time out of the laboratory, you start showing signs of burnout

To your surprise, Tobirama says he’s feeling the same, and this frustrates him as the tidy and composed person he is

You thank him for being honest with you and explain that you’ve been noticing this for a while, but couldn’t do anything to help him until then

You say sorry for this, but he assures you, saying that in your current circumstances, none of you can do anything that actually helps each other, and that keeping things this way will not help the society at all

You two decide to talk to your team the next day to explain that you both are going to take a few days off and to indicate two scientists of your trust to replace you during this period

You intend to take some rest and to trace new plans to keep your personal and professional life organized as much as possible in the current circumstances

You know how hard it is for him to leave his work aside for a moment, and cannot thank him enough for this. You know that when you will be in better conditions to work when you come back

For the first time in months, you allow yourself to feel hope 💚

If it depended on him and him alone, Madara would never let you leave the house until this decease is gone, or at least until a vaccine is developed and tested

And it’s not that he doesn’t understand the importance of your work or anything; he actually understands it better than many

But as a worker of the Security Division responsible for checking out who enters and who leaves the district a.k.a a worker of an essential service, he knows as much as you how serious is the situation

He’s also aware that every time he leaves the house, he’s exposing himself to danger. He wouldn’t mind if he lived alone, but he has you, and he cares about you more than about himself

You, on your turn, are working against time to save thousands of lives

However, the weight of this responsibility is taking its toll

It started with a difficulty to fall asleep and a general tiredness that resulted from it, but it quickly increased, turning into insomnia and chronic fatigue

You started to skip some of your meals, and now your appetite is almost null

And of course you couldn’t expect to hide all of this form Madara

One night, he comes home and sees you crying in front of a full plate. It’s clear that you didn’t touch the food

As fast he can, he takes care of himself and makes sure he’s not under the risk of contaminating you. Then he approaches and takes you away from the cold plate

He examines your vital signs, checks if you have a fever, etc., then leads you to the bathroom: a warm bath is going to help you feel better

He notices you left the TV tuned on a news channel and turn it off when you pass through the living room: it’s better to control the amount of information you consume in the current circumstances

When you reach the bedroom, he helps you to sit on the bed and gets a blanket for you

After making sure you’re comfortable, he leaves and then comes back with your favorite mug full of hot cocoa. He sits by your side and surrounds you with his arms

After drinking it, you start to speak. You takes everything out of your chest, your anxiety, your fears and your frustration

You had no idea of how good it could be just to speak about your feelings, but that’s exactly how it feels, so you asks Madara to speak his mind to you as well

He does, and you spend a couple of hours on bed, just talking until you fall asleep

The next day brings its own challenges, but you decide to keep close to each other as you’ve never been before

You believe this is the only way to assure you both will survive this 🤍

Hi Jin! Since you are looking for some DC hc what's your opinion on Flash? Honestly I like his character and his interaction with other heros, esp. Batman. I like to hc that sometimes Flash says/does something so deep and profound completely accidently but it shocks and touches others and they see him in renewed light. If you don't feel like Flash, what about some grandpa Alfred and his horde of superhero grandkids? xD Just some options for you, have fun and thank you for your amazing writing!

So I... don't reallllly have much experience writing for Flash or the Justice League in general? I based Flash's characterization off from what I remember from watching various cartoons and from pannels I've happened across over the years. I need to read his comics. He's such a dork. Anyway, sorry this took a million years DF, hopefully this is sorta what you were wanting <3

Also if you're wondering when exactly this takes place, just know I am constantly rejecting canon and substituting my own 😤

When Dick was nine years old, he wanted to join Bruce on a Justice League mission.

Bruce—being the clear-headed, calculative, newly foster father that he was—panicked and said he couldn't go on an official League mission until he was twenty-five years old... which is what Bruce was at the time. When Dick tried to argue back, well, Bruce pulled some strings—meaning he glared at the other League members until they agreed—and made it official.

No one under twenty-five would join an official Justice League mission.

Bruce wishes now he set the bar higher and told the young man to just deal with it. Because Dick is twenty-six now, and that's all Bruce can think about as Batman punches his way through an alien spaceship. Twenty-six, somewhere on this ship where Bruce can't see him with a different team comprising of newer members—not because he's untrained, but because there's no one else Bruce would trust to keep the newer recruits alive.

Meanwhile, Batman and other original powerful members of the League fight their way towards the leader of these attacking aliens. The mothership is large, practically a maze, and filled with soldier creatures with no individual agency to note. They're not an Apokolips level threat, but it would still be preferable to stop them before they enter the solar system.

Batman stops in his tracks, slamming his back against the wall to avoid getting blasted by an enemy soldier around the corner. Then, after a beat, he jumps out and launches a baterang at the attacker and takes them down with a few well placed jabs. There's the sound of something creaking violently somewhere behind him, probably Superman or Wonder Woman deciding doors are too tedious to find and the walls are weak enough for them to just plow through.

Which is why Batman is paired with none other than Flash for the moment. Despite his abilities, he can't go vibrating through walls whenever he finds it quicker to do so. He needs to save his strength; which means he's in the same boat as Batman, finding tedious doorways and navigating winding corridor filled with flashing red lights and steaming pipelines.

There's the sound of a blaster loading up to his right where he didn't notice another soldier hiding in the shadows. He just manages to pull up his cape in an attempt to lessen the damage when there's a blur of red and a flash of yellow lightning, the alien goes flying against the wall with a snap, falling limply to the ground.

"You good, B?" Flash asks, stopping in front of Batman with a grin. His voice is light, a little joking. Batman rolls his eyes. "I mean, it's a good thing I was here, It's not normally me who's doing the saving for destracted teammates."

"Let's move," he replies before moving on.

Behind him, he hears Flash sigh dramatically. "Good talk."

They move further into the ship, the blue glow of a fuzzy, half-detailed map hovering from Batman's wrist computer. Flash is a constant chatter behind him, which only serves to remind Batman further of a certain talkative, pun-slinging acrobat somewhere on the other side of the ship, taking down the ship's main controls.

Then, suddenly, the holographic map glitches violently like an old corrupted silent film as the entire ship jolts. A large boom crashes through the air, creaking pipes and tilting the entire gravitational system, causing Batman and Flash to throw their bodies towards the nearest wall as the ship struggles to realign itself.

Batman keeps his grip firm while Bruce keeps his eyes on the map, his stomach dropping when he sees a flashing red dot appear near the ship's main control room.

Nightwing...

"What was that?!" Flash wheezes as the gravity returns to something similar to what it should be, but it's shaky now, like one wrong move and everything will be sent spinning.

"Something exploded in the control room," Batman growls, pushing all thoughts that don't involve the alien leader and finding said alien leader out of his head.

"'Wing's on the other side," Flash says, his voice suddenly devoid of his constant joking and light tone. "You think they're oka-"

"We need to finish this."

And Batman is moving before Flash can argue. He doesn't say he's sure they're fine, or we should turn back, or let me attempt communications; he just moves forward because the mission is important. The world is important.

Whatever trouble the other's have gotten into... he is positive they can handle it.

Then, just moments later, they run into more trouble. Only this time, it's not just one or two mindless soldiers, but a whole group of them. Immediately, Batman launches himself into battle, cape fluttering behind him like an omen, using the shadows between the flashing lights to his advantage. He can hear the static of a speedster's energy all around him as Flash winds between bolts of enemy fire. Batman pushes his companion to the back of his mind, throwing his fist out into slam the door deformed jaw of an attacker.

The ship jolts again, along with the floor beneath him. He grunts as he's thrown into the wall, the explosion sounding like it came from the same area as before. Everything's sideways now: the ship, the gravity, his train of thought. He just manages to grab at clawing hands as an alien jumps on top of him, snarl in its lips and teeth dripping with drool.

The alien screeches, it's taloned feet digging into the Kevlar over his stomach, practically doing it's damnest to gut him open. Batman growls, his stomach twisting as the ship's gravity tries to fix itself once again, causing Batman and the alien to go rumbling from the wall into the floor. Batman grunts as he crashes through a branch of pipeline, landing harshly on the ground and sucking in a breath as his ribs scream at new bruises.

What is going on over there?!

And he doesn't even have a chance to think more into it, because he realizes he's been laying on the ground, worrying, when he should have noticed the alien finding it's bearings and scrambling forward with a scream to attempt to pin him down again.

He bunches up, preparing himself to defend himself at last moment, before there's Flash, once again, coming in at the perfect time. Flash slams the alien into the wall, it's skull making a terrible thunk noise, before it slides to the ground unconscious.

Batman pushes himself to his feet, his ribs throbbing, and opens his mouth to command they keep going, but Flash—in the blink in an eye—ends up right in front of Batman, his mouth twisted in a rare frown.

"What is wrong with you," Flash demands, grabbing into the clasps of Batman's cape and holding Batman in front of him so he can effective snarl in the other man's face. "I was joking before, about you being destracted, but now I think you actually are."

"I'm not destracted," Batman growls back, moving to shove Flash off of him, but the Flash doesn't back down. He tightens his grasp and glares.

"You are. You're destracted and worried for Nightwing because you're a dad-"

"We have a mission to finish-"

"The mission is a failure if you die, Bruce! I can't watch them be told you've died again!"

Everything goes still, nothing but the flashing lights and creaking pipes exists while Barry clutches the clasps of Bruce's cape and breathes hard. Barry swallows roughly, and then gives Bruce a narrowed look.

"When will you realize that?" He asks, sounding close to hysterical. "That your self preservation is worth more than the world to them?"

And Bruce remembers Wally, and Bart, and Iris, and their plans to have kids and find a better house with a bigger lawn. Bruce takes a deep breath and lets Batman take the backseat.

"What do I do?"

Relief flashes through Barry's face. He lets go of Bruce's cape and a smile twitches in his lips. "Go find him. Check on him. Get yourself un-destracted."

"What about you?" Bruce asks, and Barry shrugs, looking way too relaxed now. Like a weight is off his shoulders. Like he can really run now.

"I'm sure Oli is around here somewhere. I'll meet up with him." Barry looks Bruce right in the eye. "We'll finish the mission, it'll be a done in a flash. Just go make sure your kid is okay first."

And for once, Bruce doesn't groan at the pun or argue the phrase his kid. He just nods and turns back the way he came, his legs pumping, to make sure his kid is okay, which he should have remembered in the first place was always the mission. Always the top priority.

He'll have to thank Barry later... and send Iris some flowers.

HELLU BLESSY HERES THAT ASK- so what are your voices hcs for your boys ??? i mean duh im interested in 3 in particular coughs berrypassred coughs but im curious about all the beanpoles and beanbags you have 👀👀👀 and if you dont have specific People's Voice, do you have a generic rough idea of how it'd sound ? -B☆

Heya bb french fry UwU ❤❤❤ and yeess this the ask u mentioned uh months ago now, since I am so late in replying to this, but ahh it’s such a good ask, especially since I haven’t actually done so properly yet, given my boys voices that is xD

As it’s extremely hard for me to do so for some reason, like a voice just needs to sound like completely perfect or its a no go! But let’s see if I can scrounge some up for ya!

Red for me has always had the voice of the male singer from Aqua, especially the song Lollipop (Candyman), but give him more of a Brooklyn like accent and it’s perfect. Tho if you guys remember that voice actor crashboombanger something, they did a really good UF snas voice which could work too, but yeah for my Red the male singer from Aqua is the voice for him yes.

Stretch got the voice of the youtuber BrutalMoose, as it just fits him so well with how chill Ian, which is his name, sounds like and the humour is so very spot on too for Stretch.

Rus’s voice is that of John Hancock from Fallout 4, it’s been his voice for ages actually as it just fits with how uh what’s the word… how scratchy the voice is, it just fits Rus so well.

Papyrus voice of course is Skeletor like, it’s just the perfect kind of voice for him in my opinion. Tho there are some youtubers who does really good voices for him in their playthroughs, and there have been some animations and uh sound clips (?) I have seen here on Tumblr that is really good too, can’t recall what they are called tho. But there is one with Papyrus swearing like crazy which I feel works really, really well.

I guess you could say that my other more Papyrus like boys, like Pop, Velvet and Fraktur, so do they have similar voices to Papyrus. Just that Pop sounds older and so much more tired, Velvet’s is more feminine and well sexual but still very much Papyrus like, and Fraktur it doesn’t really change much just more chaotic and feral I guess pft!

And for the rest, I haven’t been able to find any proper voices that just fits xD tho if anyone got any like ideas themselves like srsly feel free to send me/tell me them so I can check them out, as gods knows that I would love to have some more decided voices for my boys.

But here are more of them who I got more just vague ideas for, explained as good as I possibly can pft:

Boney I always imagine having a very feminine but deep voice, like one of those anime boys who are pretty flamboyant, prolly cross dresses af, and when they get really angry their voice is suddenly extremely deep and manly. But at the same time it’s like not extremely womanly and not like the more jokey feminine voice either, he got a very nice voice and can sing really well. But at the same time I still like imagine it to be close to Stretch’s voice headcanon but at the same time not, it’s hard to explain pft.

Scratch’s voice is that of like an anime boy who is like 12-15 somewhere there who is pretty feminine, he sounds very, very young which he hates, since he appears even more like he is 12 when he is far af out of stripes. It’s also very, very loud, he got some serious range with how loud he can get, with some practice he would probably be able to break glass at command.

Pass and Berry got very similar voices, except that Pass’s got one heck of an accent, but it’s like pretty young boyish voice, but still a bit like deep, you can tell they are young but like not too young if that makes sense. Like kind of the voice of a anime shonen main character but like deeper or something like it, like when they do a time skip kinda thing, so its older.

Cash’s voice is like any like scumbag voice there is, like you know characters in shows/games that are clearly up to no good and trying to swindle you, got that rasp in it and you just know he bad. Very similar to how Rus’s voice headcanon is like, just more scumbagy.

Dex’s voice sounds like a surfer party dude, like kind of like the voice of Michelangelo from the TMNT 2k3/7 dunno, that one anyway kinda! Just with much more surfer lingo and so much swearing and sexual stuff smashed in.

Edge’s voice is really hard to pinpoint, as while I do for example love the voice crashboombanger gave him, so does it not fit at all my own take on him. I could kind of picture him with the voice of Gideon Emery who done voices like Balthier from ff12 and Fenris from Dragon age 2, but also the voice of the npc Aymeric from ff14, doesn’t help that Edge and Aymeric is pretty alike too pft, but at the same time those voices are a bit too deep, Edge would be a bit lighter, but something like that at least.

And that is all the voices I can think of that I have, well thought about so to speak xD sorry for taking so long, these asks got a habit of getting lost in my drafts pft! Feel free to send in this kind of ask again for them other boys, bc hey might figure them out by then, and I am always up for suggestions yes pft

Though Shiro is probably the most protective since he feels more of a responsibility

Pidge is your best friend since the age gap is closer

You’ve learned a lot about tech and machines throughout your conversations with her - it’s a topic you both enjoy

Keith is basically your older brother, always trying to keep you away from danger

He’s the one who’s always there to comfort you if it ever gets too emotionally hard

And Lance just…doesn’t hit on you because of the age difference XD

Hunk, you two are probably close friends since he and Pidge get along just as well

Even though there are hardships, you’re able to get through them

Besides, being the youngest - you’re always able to get away with more things and you can pick out the movies they watch~

Keith just hates it when you replay Bee Movie after the 700th time

Can I go on about my SoNami feelings? Bc SoRiku at least has had more emotional pay off throughout the series instead of being teased around for centuries. When Namine rewrites Sora's memories in CoM, even tho it's said Namine inserted herself in Kairi's place, based off cutscenes & the manga, Namine didnt just copy-paste herself as Kairi. She wrote fake memories featuring her as herself, quiet, drawing & everything. So I like to think Sora's emotions towards her werent JUST bc she [1/2]

[2/2] “took Kairi’s place .” Again, Namine wrote herself in his memories as herself, no one else even if she herself says she’s a shadow of Kairi. Sora felt those emotions for what he saw in those memories, which was Namine. Also, based off the fake memories shown in the CoM manga I hc that Namine’s actually pretty funny but she doesnt share her jokes & just laughs to herself or maybe whispers then to Riku sometimes. & since her new body belonged to repliRiku, I hc that [jk cont.]

[3/2 lol sorry] that assuming the replica vessel is the same from CoM, it’s an older model & so Namine travels back & forther between Destiny Islands & Radiant Garden for check ups and maintanence since the vessels from CoM arent supposedly perfected. [Now I’m done]

I am ALWAYS here to talk about SoNami, so by all means, please feel free to drop by and rant to your heart’s content. It’s my second favorite Sora ship, and….technically I guess my third favorite Namine ship, lol (a polyship with Xion and Olette is my first choice for her XD), and tbhhh I don’t get to talk about it nearly as much as I would like to, let alone see fanwork for them. :// And you’re right in that SoRiku at least had pretty much the entire series to spotlight their relationship, even if I’m salty that KH3 brushed them and Riku to the side. XP But yeah, that is absolutely nothing compared to the ocean of salt I feel at the fact that SoNami didn’t get the emotional payoff promised to us at the end of CoM. :////

And I’ve always maintained that Sora’s feelings for Namine are not the feelings that he has for Kairi, and I don’t even fucking care what you believe those feelings are, they’re still different. If you want to read a really fantastic meta on this subject, I’d recommend this one. I’ll…warn you, I guess, that it’s fairly critical of the way that Kairi has been written in the series (the meta covers KH1, CoM, and KH2); these criticisms are pretty valid to me, as they’re much the same as the ones I have, but fair warning if that’s not your cup of tea.

The short version tho is that, no, I don’t believe that Namine just pasted herself over the top of Kairi. The first time that Sora “remembers” Namine, he shouts out to the others that, “There was another girl! […] Besides Kairi and Riku, there was one other girl I was friends with!” [emphasis mine] And later, the most important of the fake memories that Namine gave Sora, the one with their promise, happened during the meteor shower, which canonically happened the night Kairi arrived on the Islands….meaning that memory was taking place before Kairi was even there and before Sora had ever met her (if anything, if Namine is indeed using real and existing memories as the base for the fake memories, that would mean that she’s actually overwriting Sora’s memories of Riku, not Kairi). And all of this is without even mentioning the oh so crucial fact of the plot: during CoM, after the point that Sora forgot Kairi, all of his memories of her were immediately sucked into Xion, and are now physically inside of her mind and are making up her entire being. Therefore: how the fuck can Namine be using those memories if they’re not even physically there anymore?! And that was why there was a whole big to-do in Days, bc those memories were now inaccessible to Sora.

And this is rapidly becoming its own meta and not a short version, so I’ll stop. The point is, I will never believe that Namine just took over Kairi’s place in Sora’s heart. His feelings towards both girls, whatever you believe them to be, are separate and different.

As to the rest…..idk, I don’t think so. Repliku 2.0 was made by Vexen recently during his undercover stint in the Real Org XIII, and even if we assume (tho I haven’t seen anything in the game canon to suggest this) that he’d originally created that vessel before Axel killed him, he still had time to perfect it to work right. Personally, rather than think about Namine needing to hang around with the scientist squad (and especially not Ansem, bc he was an abusive dick to her, and I’m still going to hate him for that until I actually see him apologize to her face (and to Roxas as well)), I’d rather headcanon her as getting to join the sea salt ice cream brigade, getting a hug, and Xion and Olette (and Kairi, now that she’s alive again) taking her shopping so that she doesn’t have to keep wearing that one goddamn dress. (bc srsly…..literally everyone else gets new clothes, but not her?? wtf. why’d Namine get shafted in this too??)

: / as someone with anxiety and who’s had guilt tactics used against me often and in bad ways like... there are other ways to get people to care about what you’re saying that is a lot more effective in the long run.
