Several seconds and several centuries later, Eris raised his head from the moonlit water. Starker from above then head on, sharpened into something that did not strictly suggesting living to human sensibility, utterly enthralling to Elain’s eyes. All bone and brightness, a better shock of color than what the silver, massive moon gave. Those cheekbones. His mouth, softer a savage line than it had any right to be. Eris Vanserra, who’d given her the words to tear eternity apart, quiet on his knees. “It worked.” Not a question. Perhaps an excuse for the look his cast up at her, that still, lurking wonder that made Elain feel twenty and a thousand at once, like fizz in her veins. Flowering. Finding- Eris, constant in the endless ocean of her life, dark under light and blinding light in this dark.  She’d find a way to say it back- to say it right. “You remember?” One brow, raised high, before Eris gave in entirely and smiled. “We should find them.” The water hardly shifted. A wound and a wonder and no current at all, just fascination. Just Eris, on his feet, offering his arm like he really thought she might not take it, after all these years. “We,” Elain repeated, agreed, unable abruptly not to laugh. “We should.”

Some random facts about your second verse please?
OK so this is one of the ask so it’s gonna be a long post, as of right now my second verse is just called that or team flare wins au, I haven’t thought of like a specific like title for it like how Sydchan has her second verse called the championverse so I’m still thinking of like what to call it.
Okay so first is that unlike how in my main verse, Lysandre’s plan actually succeeded to an extent instead of him, destroying the whole world, he only sort of managed to destroy Kalos at the time, destroyed in the sense that it didn’t become a deserted wasteland, it justdidn’t have the power to stop him.
When Lysandre realized that his plan only really affected kalos in some parts of Paldea and the region next to Kalos to the east, Lysandre used one of the back up plans he had, and decided to with the help of team flare usurp the Kalosian government, and after he had gotten rid of them due to his ancestry, he made himself the king of the region.
as of right now, he is keeping AZ alive, but locked deep under the palace. He had built, and also due to their close proximity to Lysandre when everything went down she captured alain and ash though Ash managed to escape to tell everyone else about what happened.
Calem and the others managed to escape though in the process calem lost his leg, Lysandre had also had Baraz, Meray & Hoopa captured when he sent part of team flare to their village.
now sense in this verse, even though his plan with the ultimate weapon didn’t quite pan out the way he wanted it to. He still have control over Yveltal and was able to use its power against most anyone who opposed him, the people who would eventually form a resistance against him they’re only saving grace what’s the fact that they had Xerneas on their side thanks to calem.
shortly after he made himself king, he sent a video to sycamore and the others of him and the admins of team flare torturing alain and gave professor sycamore and their daughter Sylvie an ultimatum he would stop the horrific treatment of alain if they returned to him and Sycamore became one of his spouses, but he did tell them that if they refused, he couldn’t guarantee that the Admins wouldn’t end up ending Alain’s life.
Professor sycamore and Sylvie obviously since alain was their family they gave in and went back to Lysandre to ensure that alain would be alright.
professor sycamore had complicated feelings about marrying Lysandre due to the fact that they were once engaged, but that Sycamore had broken it off when he’d discovered Lysandre’s infidelity.
soon after they got married, Sycamore became pregnant again, which, even though he wasn’t really surprised, considering the fact that it isn’t the largest age gap siblings have had (Sylvie was in her teens at this point at least) he nevertheless would still love the child despite the fact that their father was an insane abuser.
I could probably go in depth about all of the canon characters that are actually dead, either from natural causes, or from lysandre having them killed or executed By the time Irene is even conceived, and I will do that in a separate ask if you want me too, but if I mention all of them here, this would probably be much longer than it is already.
OK, so what part of the timeline that could sort of make Lysandre weird of a character in the sense that would be a little complicated I think.
basically, very shortly after alain turns 18, Lysandre despite Professor Sycamore’s protests, makes alain one of his spouses, alain only agreed, since he very well knew that it could end up with him dying if he didn’t agree, and at that time, he really didn’t wanna die.
very shortly after like I mean, literally like the same freaking night Lysandre gets alain pregnant, which, due to some hereditary abilities he actually takes more of an interest in Alain’s pregnancy than he did for some of his other spouses pregnancies.
also, knowing from experience with other spouses that childbirth with one of his children can be extremely difficult. He may try to call doctors and nurse that he know wouldn’t backstab him in the long run to assist in the birth of irene.
even though he didn’t hold alain’s hand he stayed in the room for the entire duration of the delivery, and after some other stuff, he made sure he held her and made an official announcement of her birth.
he was a little peeved when alain named her Irene knowing that that was a a slight towards him though he let it slide due to thinking that Irene was already a beautiful name and a name befitting a princess.
a bit more of the complicated part is that too an extend Lysandre genuinely loved Irene and care of her and basically most anything she wanted, he made happen or gave her, the only things he wouldn’t allow her to do were having unsupervised conversations with anybody from outside of the palace and he also wouldn’t allow her to leave the palace alone in his own words.” so she wouldn’t be tainted by the evils outside “ Yep, he is a hypocrite.
If you have any specific questions, go ahead and ask.
Also, if by chance you have any suggestions for what I should call this face, please let me know.

Frostbitten
Chreon, Rated-T
Read on Ao3
Leon had barely kicked off his unbroken-in boots and flopped face-first on his bed when his phone rang. He groaned. Getting called back to the training field might kill him. Every inch of his body ached and throbbed after taking a literal beating for the last ten hours; he couldn’t be bothered to change out of his sweaty clothes, let alone shower. USSTRATCOM training was tough and the instructors tougher, but this was precisely what he had signed up for, a chance to help people, to make sure that Raccoon City never happened again.
The handset slid out of the cradle when Leon smacked it in his blind search. It hit the floor with a clunk, half suspended by the cord.
“Shit.”Leon grabbed the phone and rolled onto his back. “This better be important.”
“Rough day?”
Leon sat up, a lump forming in the back of his throat. “Chris?”
Weeks ago, Leon tracked down Chris long enough to send an email warning him that Claire had gotten herself into some deep shit and needed a hand, and then handily tacked on his new number in a hastily added PS. But, unfortunately, Leon himself was a bit busy with his so-called new job, which so far consisted of him having his ass handed to him on a regular basis, and he hadn’t been in contact with Chris or Claire since Raccoon City two months ago.
Honestly, Leon had hoped the Redfield siblings had found each other and were off chasing Umbrella and saving the world together, but apparently not. Coupled with Leon and Sherry having seemingly disappeared off the face of the planet for weeks, Chris had been a little desperate when Leon finally managed to send an encrypted email.
“How’s it going, rookie?”
Leon snorted and flopped back on the mattress, tucking his free arm behind his head, his fatigue melting away. “Oh, you know.”
“That good, huh. I know you can’t tell me what’s going on, but are you okay?”
Always with the tough questions. Leon sighed, but his stomach gave a funny little flip. “I’ll have to get back to you on that.”
“I definitely owe you one.”
“I think we’re about even.” Leon wasted nights alone in bed thinking about the night he spent buried against Chris Redfield’s chest, arms wrapped protectively around him as he fell apart when Raccoon City was still a smouldering ruin on the horizon. Leon yearned for that level of comfort and warmth. “Did you find her?”
“Yeah. Yeah, I found her. But, we lost someone.”
Leon’s chest ached. How many people was that now? How many people had they lost in this war that they hadn’t even been aware they were fighting. Umbrella destroyed so many lives; hurt so many people. “I’m sorry.”
“Me too.”
Condolences - apology, solace, commiseration - hung thick in the air between them, so many words left unsaid. I’m sorry I couldn’t help you. I’m sorry I left, that I abandoned you when you needed me; I wish you were here.
“How’s Sherry?”
“She’s good,” Leon lied. His stomach clenched painfully at the thought of the little girl he and Claire had managed to save from the city. The one thing Leon had done right.
Except, the first thing the government had done was take Sherry from Leon, separated them, interrogated him for days until they finally held her life above his head like a guillotine. His visitation remained few and far between, but she was alive and well taken care of, and that’s what mattered. Even if she’d traded one lab for another.
“Good. That’s good. Listen, Claire and I are back home getting things in order, but we both want to see you. Without you, I wouldn’t have found her.”
“Chris, seriously. It was nothing. I just passed on the information I had.” Leon twirled his finger absentmindedly in the phone cord. “I couldn’t get to her, but knew you could. I’m glad you found her.”
“You’re in DC, right?”
“What? Yeah. Listen, Chris-” Leon tried.
“We’re going to drive down for the weekend before we fly back to England next week. We’re putting together a team, but Claire really wants to see you. I want to see you. I need to thank you.”
Leon scrubbed his hand across his mouth and stared helplessly up at the stucco ceiling. Chris wasn’t going to take no for an answer, not that Leon wanted him to. On the contrary, he wanted to see them as badly as they wanted to see him.
“The weekend should be fine,” Leon said. “I usually have them off unless they decide to airdrop me into the center of a national park with nothing but a combat knife and a flask. I mean, no guarantees, but, you know.”
“Jesus Christ, Leon. What have you gotten yourself into?”
Leon grimaced. “Unfortunately, that’s classified.”
“I sure as hell hope you know what you’re doing.” That made two of them, but Sherry’s life hung in the balance.
Chris and Leon hashed out tentative plans for the weekend. Claire and Chris would drive the nine hours down from Franklin County on Friday, which Leon found insane. Nine hours trapped in a vehicle with their sibling for a dude they barely knew, only to be met with disappointment because Leon wouldn’t be whatever they expected. All the same, he’d let them crash at his place for the weekend, and then they’d fly out of the Dulles International Sunday evening.
Warmth blossomed in Leon’s chest; hope. Things weren’t ideal. Yes, he’d been coerced into the service of his country, but he wanted to do what he couldn’t in Raccoon City; save people, make Umbrella pay for their crimes. Maybe he could have done that alongside friends, allies, or Chris. Instead, the acute loneliness tingled in the back of his mind, a constant reminder that he had been abandoned. Not on purpose, no, but his naivety showed weakness.
The call ended with a promise, like their last separation, a reluctance to part, but a promise of companionship, of warmth, of friendship that was almost destined to end in grief. Leon couldn’t help the anticipation that bloomed.
Leon noisily clattered the headset back into the cradle and took stock of his tiny bedroom cluttered with dirty clothes, plates, a half-empty glass of water, and first aid supplies. “Fuck.”
Cleaning the apartment wouldn’t be so bad considering his severe lack of possessions, and he had three days before visitors arrived. Not that either of the Redfield’s would care about the clutter and shortage of furniture. If anything, they would understand. So much had been lost the day Racoon City disappeared in a mushroom cloud. Still, he tidied every moment he had between beatings, lectures, and exams.
Friday morning, the apartment was shockingly spotless except for the freshly used coffee mug in the sink. Loading it into the half-empty dishwasher wouldn’t have been all that difficult if Leon wasn’t already running behind schedule. The commute to the training center took twenty minutes on a good day if he obeyed all traffic laws.
Today likely wouldn’t be one of those days since he was due for roll-call in seven minutes, which seemed pointlessly ridiculous as he was the only agent in training. But the government liked to make him jump through hoops, literally.
Each course they had him run became increasingly complex and ludicrous to the point that Leon failed more than ninety percent of the time. With each fall, one instructor that he didn’t know the name of, only called Sir, yelled “dead” as if it wasn’t already abundantly clear that one mistake would be a death sentence in the field. Something he probably knew that better than the assholes pulling the strings. None of the big wigs had lived the hell he lived, seen what he had seen, and relived what he relived every night alone twisted in the sheets of his bed.
By the time Leon trudged through the front door of his tiny apartment, two hours later than planned, his entire side was mottled blue and purple from the fresh thrashing at the hands of his close combat instructor. His hand to hand had improved the most over the last month with the help of his natural flexibility and agility that earned him a few jokes about how he should have joined the circus. But they were impressed.
Nothing about his training was normal, even he knew that. Nothing like the Anti-Umbrella Pursuit and Investigation Team had been formed before, people had never been reanimated from the dead by a virus before, and they were trying to prepare him for the worst. A nightmare they had never experienced themselves, but he had.
The phone rang. Leon groaned, staggering as he pivoted where he had been about to face-plant on the couch, and headed for the phone in the bedroom.
“Hello?” Leon said, almost certain it was Agent Benford with a new brutal assignment. He sagged onto the bed in relief, curling onto his side when the increasingly familiar greeting of ‘hey, rookie” rumbled in his ear. “Chris.”
“Thank god. Where have you been? This is the fourth time we tried calling.”
“Sorry, sorry.” Leon groaned as his side twinged. “Got, uh, caught up at the... office.”
“You sound like you’re in rough shape.”
Leon hummed. “Been worse.” A sad truth.
“We were calling to say we’re an hour out, but now that’s more like ten minutes,” Chris said, and Claire shouted something unintelligible in the background. “Oh, right. Remind me to give you this number. Claire made me get one of those Nokias so she can keep track of me.”
Claire screeched indignantly, and Leon snickered. “I’ve got a pager,” he offered as consolation. All that much easier to be at the government’s beck and call, but if Chris ever needed him, or Claire, or Sherry.
Leon rattled off a few quick directions to get the Redfield’s to his place, then hung up the phone and rolled out of bed to shower. The hot water stung the fresh bruising, his muscles ached, but he felt human the more he scrubbed away the sweat and grime.
The buzzer for the front door rang as Leon eased a fresh t-shirt on over his head; his shoulder twinged, but he limped over to buzz them up.
A few minutes later, since the building’s elevator took years because of the ‘historic’ value as the real estate agent had put it, someone knocked at the door in a frantic staccato. Leon swung the door open, hair still damp, and was immediately tackled in a hug.
Fight or flight kicked in, Leon’s brain came back online in fits and started in time to hug the small woman hugging him tightly rather than throw her over his shoulder. Claire’s mouth ran a mile a minute. Apparently, he had been missed, and Claire didn’t appear to want to release him anytime soon if the creaking of his ribs were anything to go by.
Leon stared helplessly over her head at Chris, who laughed, but pried his sister off Leon so he could drag him in a hug too. Chris enveloped Leon in a bear hug. That level of high alert that itched in the back of his mind for months ebbed, not disappeared, but faded enough that Leon enjoyed the moment, squeezing Chris back just as tight.
“Come in,” Leon said as he stepped back and waved them into his tiny apartment. “It’s not much, but, you know.”
Claire and Chris shucked their shoes and jackets and wandered into the apartment. Claire scrutinized every little detail or lack thereof. Decoration wasn’t exactly at the top of Leon’s priorities. Nevertheless, he had what he needed: a couch, a TV, a coffee table that doubled as his kitchen table, and a mattress in the bedroom. No bedframe, but he wasn’t picky. Clean sheets and a blanket, and he was good to go.
“It’s, ahh...” Chris trailed off as he glanced around the sparse room.
“What are you, a squatter?” Claire cut in. She stood in front of the mostly empty closet she’d opened.
“Okay, I was going to say it’s a bit Spartan,” Chris said. He slapped a comforting hand on Leon’s shoulder. “Can’t be easy to start all over from nothing, again.”
Leon rubbed the back of his neck, shoulders slumped. “I did warn you guys. Not much to do.”
Chris hummed, his hand dropping from Leon’s shoulder as he wandered off to the kitchen. “You got beer?” The fridge was stocked with two six-packs of cheap beer, a bottle of ketchup, a carton of 2%, and eggs.
“I’ll order food,” Claire said, glancing around, but the phone wasn’t in sight. Leon directed her to the bedroom, where his mattress sat on the floor against the wall. “Jesus Christ, Leon, is that a milk crate?” Clearly, she’d found the bedside table with the phone and takeout menus.
Groaning, Leon sank down onto his couch and buried his face in his hands. The cushions sank beside him as a much larger body sat down. Leon peeked out from between his fingers at Chris, who smiled sadly at him.
“If you need anything-” Chris started.
“I’m fine.” Leon ran his fingers through his damp hair and slouched so his elbows rested on his knees. “Not a lot of time to do much these days, you know, between the daily ass kickings and memorizing a million and one protocols.”
Chris mirrored Leon’s posture. “You could always come with us.”
Leon shook his head.
“Leon-”
“I can’t,” Leon snapped in time for Claire to walk out of the bedroom.
For a second, Claire paused, eyes bouncing between the heavy tension that hung between them. “I ordered Chinese. Did I miss something?”
“No,” Chris and Leon said at the same time.
The food didn’t take long to arrive. The delivery guy, already familiar with Leon’s apartment, joked that he had company for once. The restaurant had even thrown in some free spring rolls for one of their best customers. Sad, considering he’d only been in DC for a little over a month.
The three of them settled on the couch together; Leon squashed in the middle of the sofa, pressed against Chris because Claire had claimed one end with her feet up and tucked her toes under Leon’s thigh. They’d settled for a cheesy action movie they found flipping through channels, something with a bus that couldn’t stop, but ignored it in favour of light conversion, mostly Claire. Neither Chris nor Leon were much in the way of conversationalists. Still, Chris offered a tidbit here and there, and Leon hummed along, nodding when need be, and occasionally offered the occasional dry joke that had Chris and Claire in stitches. Chris nearly snorted beer out his nose when he made an off-the-cuff remark about the first day always being the easiest.
Pleasantly buzzed from a few beers and noodles heavy in his belly, Leon began to nod off, his head helplessly bobbing with the weight of fatigue.
Distantly, Leon heard a chuckle. His head plopped down on the closest shoulder, broad and warm, and the last thing he remembered was Claire wiggling her toes under his thigh and giggling.
When Leon woke up to his bladder screaming, the apartment was dark. For a brief second, he panicked when he discovered his mobility restricted, but his foggy mind pieced together the clues to form a complete picture. He was still on the couch, curled into Chris’ side, nose pressed into Chris’ neck. The arm slung around Leon’s shoulder held in him what couldn’t be mistaken for anything other than a secure embrace. They were barely covered by what Leon quickly realized was the thin comforter from his bed because Claire, curled up on the other end of the couch, had stolen most of the blanket, leaving Chris and Leon with a tiny corner.
Leon eased himself out of Chris’ protective hold and slipped off the couch, tucking Chris back under the blanket so he could escape to the safety of the bathroom in what was becoming a pattern. Wake up cuddled with a man he barely knew, panic, then flee.
The moonlight through the clouded window lit the bathroom enough for Leon to piss and wash his hands without hitting the light. He stood, hands braced on the edge of the sink, staring at his reflection in the mirror. The bags under his eyes were lighter, and his hair was a wild tangle after falling asleep with it still damp. Even if he looked less tired, he was exhausted. He shivered. DC winters were colder than he was used to.
Shuffling back into the living room, Leon found Claire stretched further out on the couch, having used Leon’s absence to steal the very little room Leon had occupied beside Chris. “That seems about right,” he said, then jumped when Chris’ head popped up from where it had been stretched out against the back of the couch. “Oh! Sorry, I can just...” Leon waved vaguely back down the hall towards his bedroom.
Chris lifted his corner of the blanket in invitation.
“I don’t want to be a bother,” Leon argued, rubbing his arm. “I can just sleep in my bed.”
“Isn’t this your blanket?” Chris asked.
Leon shivered in the cool December chill. “It’s not that cold.”
“Leon.”
Leon slunk back to the couch under Chris’ watchful gaze and tried to find space, but Claire’s sprawl left no room for Leon to squeeze back into. He hovered for a moment, uncertain of how to proceed, but the choice was taken from him when Chris grabbed him around the middle and hauled him down over his lap. Leon squawked, slapping a hand over his mouth. His butt nestled between the arm of the couch and Chris’ thigh, his legs thrown over Chris’ lap.
For almost a full minute, Leon stared at Chris open-mouthed, unable to do anything but blink like a startled owl while his attacker shook with silent laughter.
“Cat got your tongue, rookie?” Chris snickered.
Never one to back down from a challenge, Leon snapped his jaw closed, pursed his lips and purposefully flung an arm around Chris’ shoulders before wiggling until he was burrowed tightly into the warmth of Chris’ side like a kitten. Still, it took a few minutes for Leon to relax enough to sink into the heat of the body beneath him, Chris grinning a challenge to him. Leon rolled his eyes and stuck the cold tip of his nose into Chris’ neck.
“Christ, Kennedy,” Chris said as a stilted shudder ran through him, but wrapped Leon in an inflexible hug like the first night they met, the night Leon’s anxiety and doubt demanded the comfort of another person, the night he still dreamt about. “What are you? Part snowman?”
“Popsicle, but thanks for asking,” Leon mumbled.
Tucked under a small corner of the worn comforter he found in a thrift shop his first night in the city, Leon tilted headfirst into the satisfaction and comfort of Chris Redfield. Most men would have balked at even the idea of cuddling with another man, but Leon had never been like other men. He’d learned early in life to take comfort where he could because kindness was often isolated incidents of empathy.
The smell of coffee tickled Leon’s nose. He was hot, a little too hot, and a little sweaty, but he was comfortable, safe. He pressed into the warmth, groaning quiet contentment when the heat squeezed back until a sharp snort and a giggle shocked him into alertness like a splash of ice water.
Leon’s eyes snapped open. Claire grinned at him from the far end of the couch, legs pulled up to sit cross-legged, hand curled around a steaming mug of coffee. “Morning.”

Debris: speculation and what we know so far about...
Bryan
The character is from Texas, has no siblings, and his parents are both alive.
He served in MARSOC (Marine Special Forces) in Afghanistan, where he was in a military prison in some capacity (officer or detainee unclear, but an alternate reality he's called a war criminal, so he's likely detained).
FWIW, I'm a little surprised that in an alternative reality Bryan wasn't a part of Influx. He shares a similar kind of backstory with Anson Ash.
He carries a baseball on the plane like a momento stress ball (1x03).
He eats...a lot, literally thinks with his stomach, seemingly indiscriminately (#you could just pull up a chair to the buffet). Stale Peeps, weeks old sandwiches, rewarmed burritos, anything from the minibar, etc. Maybe he was a smoker in the time before and it killed his sense of taste. Or he just has an iron stomach from his time on active duty. In any case, food seems to be his unconditional OTP. I request a GIF supercut.
He seems to know a bunch of field operatives (Lester, Sharon, John the ME, Muntz, Beck from containment) from various Orbital teams, perhaps even worked cases with a few, along with everyone in Maddox's office. He's very cordial so presumably he likes them, but in stark contrast at least half seem to decidedly dislike him with baiting antagonism, some openly hostile. Sharon: "why are you smirking at me Bryan?" Muntz, the Laghari lab tech: "I've come across plenty like you...men who play by their own rules." Beck: "They only send in the A-team when they want the agents to survive...easy for you to say, I'm the one who had to tell his wife". No wonder he feels a bit ostracized. Perhaps his reputation (impulsive?) proceeds him or perhaps he's been labeled an "unlucky" partner that misfortune follows so he gets kept at a distance?
The exception to the above seems to be Gary Garcia, the former scientist that helps hide George. May be former partners if the audio during credit rolls is any indication, and knows about Bryan's health / injections. They appear close. Perhaps because they share a mentality: both presumably injured in their line of work at Orbital, and they know what it means to have to rely on yourself.
When we meet Finola and Bryan, it seems like they've been working together for a few weeks, stateside at least (Finola's quote 1x02: Been here 3 weeks, feels like 3 years) and that he's had at least two Orbital partners prior, one (Julian / Jules) that died on duty, and the other creepy Dutch guy still living, Niels. How many more partners has he been through? Is it protocol that they get reassigned/shuffled so often to follow the debris, or so as not to form attachments "This job is about being alone, it's supposed to be...we're a blip in other people's lives", or does his personality not play well with others, like from the pilot when he tells Finola "it's been a long time since I've worked with somebody who's looked at me like another human being."
Also in 1x01 when Bryan says, "So are we now saying the debris pulled [Kieran] from the ground and added meat to his bones" and Finola says no, he was cremated, Bryan looks almost disappointed like he was momentarily more hopeful than pragmatic. At first I thought this was just a lead up to introducing the fact that George Jones was alive, but maybe another plot point is that Bryan has lost someone in duty he wants back.
He carries a picture in his front pocket of a woman with some Persian/ Farsi(?) or Urdu(?) written on the back. It's hard to tell by the script, it could be neither. When confronted by that, his clone says "I can't let it go." Old flame that was lost? Or a partner of a fallen service member killed in action —I've lost brothers— that he couldn't save (is that part of Bryan's dark guilt / grief)? Civilian casualty of a Marine mission? In the pilot when he tells Isla "you have to tell her how much you need her, I know from experience...You will not be able to forgive yourself if you don't" is Bryan thinking of this woman?
EDIT: considering the next episode is called "Asalah," which could be a woman's name, maybe that's part of the text on the back of the photo. Pure speculation.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
He counts on himself to be level and composed when it comes to his emotions and apologizes when he isn't. He loses that composure in the pilot when Isla talks about family therapy and fighting with her mother after Kieran's death: "I knew someone like her once." Was Bryan referring to himself, has he been through post-service therapy? Perhaps he developed a rift with his family or left home at an early age like she did?
Bryan would be great at pub trivia night. He always seems to have an odd fact ready about NASA tech, native legends, an article about a historical building that he read, Fleetwood PA, etc. He doesn't seem the type to keep facts on standby to impress, so perhaps he's a secret bibliophile even though Finola hassles him for not reading case files.
"Fin: Maybe we should run some more tests before we continue/ Bryan: I will cut bait if you want to / Fin; let's just look out for each other" 1x02 Bryan seems more cautious than impulsive, he does a good job of listening to Finola's concerns. Is that from experience? Did he get overconfident, mishandle debris, and get permanently injured, hence the frequent blood work and injections?
"This man saved my life." Why does Bryan trust Maddox implicitly? And when Maddox says in 1x07 "Investigate quietly. I want to keep the lights off. I don't want to lose anymore lives, Bryan, okay?" is that a word of warning specially for him? Does he have a body count? (see afforementioned question of frequent work partners turnover and having an unlucky reputation)
Bryan in protective of Finola when the CIA taps her apartment. It's the straw that turns his allegiance from his agency to his partner.
I still can't place why Bryan carries a baseball — it seems like it could be a red herring, but I can't get over the visual of Maddox playing catch with Dario and reading into it as some sort of surrogate bond — or why he has a chain around his neck (1x05). It's not service tags and probably not a ring, it's some kind of pendant: a large loop encircling a dull, perhaps tarnished, gray metallic disc. A patron saint? A piece of shrapnel? A piece of debris? Unclear, but it definitely has texture or an etching.

I was the anon who requested Y/n freeing klarion...I’ve decided to request a one shot of the thing that happened in the bleak sibling headcanons where the YJ team rescues her, including Klair’s rampage bc thats hilarious for some reason. I’m not sure if someone requested this already, sorry.
A/N: Couldn’t really think of a title for this but I hope you enjoy! Sorry that it was so late, too!
When the team saved a seemingly innocent (h/c)-haired girl during one of Klarion’s random acts of chaos, they hadn’t expected one person to be so much trouble. Especially now as they watched the news with a shared look of shock on their faces.
Klarion the Witch Boy was currently decimating what used to be downtown Metropolis in what seemed to be minutes, except unlike the first time he was destroying Metropolis, he wasn’t getting any joy out of it. In fact, he seemed to get angrier and angrier the more he destroyed and ruined, and the fact that the Justice League was now appearing to stop him didn’t seem to be helping his temper.
You merely watched the chaos and destruction play on the screen along with the other members of the Team who had “rescued” you during his first attack. However, you didn’t seem to be as surprised or disturbed as them, if anything, you looked a little upset with the sight in front of you.
“You guys have to take me back to Metropolis.” You finally said, looking over at the rest of the Team.
“You want to go back there?” Wally asked, looking at you as if you were insane.
“You’re watching the TV, right?” Robin chimed in, nodding his head to the screen.
You nodded your head before standing in front of them, “Yes but this rampage isn’t going to stop until you take me there. The Justice League may be formidable but not even they can take Klarion down.”     “And you think you can?” Artemis scoffed, crossing her arms over her chest and raising an eyebrow at you. You sent her a sly smile as you playfully tapped your finger on your chin, “Oh, I don’t think. I know.”
“You seem quite adamant, (Y/n),” Aqualad noted before walking over to you, “but you were there when Klarion first attacked, you’ve seen first-hand what he is capable of.”
“I’ve also seen his limitations, it wouldn’t exactly be the first time I’ve had to put a stop to his tantrums before.” You grinned, a devious glint shining in your (e/c) eyes.
The Team all looked at each other as if silently conversing with each other with mere looks before they all looked back at you.
“What do you mean by before?” Superboy asked. You merely sighed before rolling your eyes and pointing at the TV with your thumb, “Look, I’ll explain everything later but right now, you guys want to put a stop to this, don’t you?”
The TV now showed as Klarion had all seven core members of the Justice League weakened and had them trapped in their own separate red orbs, red electricity seemed to be coming from inside them and putting the heroes in what looked to be an incredible amount of pain as they shouted and fell to their knees.
It was an unbearable sight, to see the world’s seven greatest defenders and faces of the Justice League to be put in such suffering, and it was enough for the Team to finally make a silent decision.
“Let’s go,” Kaldur finally ordered, the rest of the Team nodded in agreement.
Zatanna walked next to you, thanks to the cloaking spell you had casted on yourself, she wasn’t able to sense any of the chaos magic that you possessed but you could tell that by the look on her that she was weary of you.
“You really know how to stop Klarion?” She asked, her brows furrowed in confusion.
Your eyes twinkled at her question as you two walked into the bio-ship, “You’ll just have to wait and see, I guess!”
Meanwhile, Klarion was floating high in the air. His normal onyx eyes contorted into a pair of beady red ones and his pale skin now becoming a light shade of blue, red chaos magic radiating from his body like a flame as he continued to torment the trapped Justice League members.
“WHERE IS SHE?” He demanded, although his shrill and angered voice was drowned out by the anguished cries of the heroes.
Teekl simply meowed at him, making the Witch Boy look over at her with an even more livild look on his face.
“Yes, I know they can’t answer me, IT WAS A RHETORICAL QUESTION!” Klarion growled before facing the Leaguer before him, “THEY OBVIOUSLY HAVE HER AND ARE KEEPING HER AWAY FROM ME!”
Little did Klarion know, a camouflaged bio-ship was flying towards him with the members of the Team inside it. They all cringed, seeing their mentors and role models being subjected to such cruel treatment, which only tugged a little at your blackened heart.
“What’re you gonna do?” Robin asked.
“Easy, talk to him.” You answered, causing everyone to look at you.
“Talk to him?!” Wally scoffed before pointing outside the window, “He’s literally torturing the Justice League in front of us! I don’t think he’d have any problem doing the same to you!”
You dismissively waved your hand as if brushing the idea away from you, “You don’t know him like I do.”
“And how do you know him?” Zatanna interrogated, “You said you’d explain it to us when we got here.”
“That I did,” You nodded in agreement.
Before anyone else could ask or say anything to you, a portal had opened up below you in which you fell through. It was hard to process, really, first you were there and suddenly you weren’t. The entire situation was a little overwhelming for them to handle in all honesty.
“Where’d she go?” Zatanna asked, only to look at the front of the bio-ship to see you.
She was utterly bewildered when she saw that you were floating in the air, your arms crossed over your chest and your (h/c) hair now floating in the wind.
“KLARION!” You shouted, causing the raven-haired Witch Boy to turn around to face you.
His beady eyes narrowed at you before the softened and slowly reverted back to their normal shape as his skin faded from a ghostly blue to a pale white as a smile began to grow on his face. It wasn’t a malicious or mischievous one, but one of relief and joy.
“(Y/n)!” He beamed, the red magic that surrounded him now fading as the once trapped Justice League members were freed from their prison, only to start falling to the ground.
You noticed this and quickly waved your hand behind you, opening a portal that would teleport them safely to the ground. Klarion must not have seen it or didn’t care because he quickly hugged you tightly, making you smile softly, and laugh a little as Teekl’s sandpaper tongue lovingly licked the side of your cheek.
“Where were you?” Klarion asked, pushing you back while also keeping a tight grip on your shoulders.
You looked out the corner of the eye, while it looked like you were looking at nothing, you were actually staring where the invisible bio-ship was and debated about whether or not to tell your brother the truth.
“Wandering,” You finally answered, looking back to face Klarion, “I was wandering around, it got so boring watching you create chaos.”
“You could’ve joined in,” He pouted slightly before taking in your appearance, “and you also didn’t have to wear this cloaking spell, too.”
Snapping his fingers, his red magic began to engulf you and the Team watched in shock as a pair of black horns began to sprout from the sides of your head and your casual clothes turned into similar to Klarion’s own outfit, just (f/c) accent colors instead of red. The magic disappeared once you were back to your normal appearance.
“I know!” You protested before looking down at the city below, “but sometimes I like going into the mortal world.”
You flicked your wrist to the city below as (f/c) magic soon began to rebuild and repair all the damage that Klarion had created. Your brother looked at you with a confused look on his face and you quickly developed a lie to tell him.
“Oh c’mon. They take so long to fix the city and Metropolis is one of my favorite places to cause chaos!” You fibbed.
“Well then don’t run off next time,” Klarion retorted before opening a portal with his magic and gesturing for you to enter, “now, let’s head back home. It’s so exhausting spreading all that fear.”
You smiled at his words and watched as he entered the portal before turning around to look back at the place where the bio-ship was still flying before smiling and winking at the young heroes who you were sure were probably gawking at you. You waved at them and sent a little wink before following after your brother.
Meanwhile, the Team watched in shock as they tried to process what had just happened.

Candace Against the Universe Predictions
Note: This is MY LIST of possible outcomes that can occur in the movie - they may differ from what your predictions are, and that’s okay. This was just made for fun.
(~)
Doofenshmirtz and Isabella’s duet (which, yes, they ARE going to have a duet in the movie, this was confirmed) is going to either be a rap battle, or a song about the two having to work together to solve a problem (I really want it to be a rap battle)
Doofenshmirtz’s reasoning for having a rivalry with Isabella stems from the fact that he doesn’t want a child telling him what to do - by the end of the movie, though, he grows to respect Isabella
Isabella might remind Dr. D of Vanessa when she was her age
Phineas and Candace have an emotional argument about how Candace would rather live on a planet without her brothers than go back home where everyone is concerned and stuff - this leads to Phineas saying they never should’ve come to rescue her and things get really emotional after that
Phineas, Ferb, and the gang listen to some of Doofenshmirtz’s backstories during the trip, and are immediately fascinated by them - they don’t doubt a single tale, but it leads to them asking a lot of questions that never get answers
Phineas, Ferb, and Doofenshmirtz build an inator together
The big bad villain of the movie (if there is one) creates a doomsday machine meant to destroy any planet that goes against his/her people’s way of thinking (the entirety of Earth included), and Doofenshmirtz saves literally everyone by installing a self-destruct button on it, which the main villain accidentally presses
Candace and Vanessa get kidnapped at the same time rather than separately
Perry somehow someway has a musical number in all this - somehow, he sings something, possibly in his head
Doofenshmirtz shares his stories about how he keeps getting beaten up by a platypus to the other kids, and these are the only stories that Phineas and the others don’t quite buy, since, you know, platypuses don’t do much - Doofenshmirtz ALMOST name drops Perry before something happens that totally interrupts him
There will be at least ONE Phinabella moment - at LEAST
Before getting kidnapped, Candace gets the impression that Jeremy is going to break up with her for either not showing up to the game mentioned in the preview, or possibly ruining the game in her attempts to bust Phineas and Ferb
Phineas’ present shown in the preview was for Candace, possibly on another day where he and Ferb are trying to make amends to her for something that probably happened previously - this present is brought with them on their trip to save Candace, and Phineas is determined to give this gift to her
The unknown gift is what makes Candace cry (again, that’s been confirmed to happen in the movie as well), and makes her realize that she can’t live in a world without her brothers, no matter how insane they are
Candace sees that weird imaginary zebra that calls her Kevin, and he actually gives some sound advice - or not. Either way he has a speaking role
The aliens attempt to sacrifice Candace (and probably Vanessa) to some kind of god/goddess
Isabella is trying to earn her “Space Travel Rescue” patch in this movie - she also earns several other space related patches
Isabella’s patches are brought into question by Doofenshmirtz, which probably starts the conflict between them as Isabella attempts to prove she can do literally ANYTHING she sets her mind to - however, he still ends up questioning them, not because he doubts Isabella’s abilities, but because he wonders why anyone would want to earn patches involving shrimp net repair, sap collecting, and other nonsensical accomplishments. He also questions how there are space-themed patches and WHY
There is a sad, cute song in this movie, and I will stand by that
Candace befriends an alien - this alien may or may not be the main antagonist of the movie, but said alien shares in Candace’s frustrations over not being taken seriously, not being appreciated, and having her “hopes and dreams” dashed by younger siblings
We learn the NAME of Phineas and Candace’s biological dad, which is, coincidentally, Lawrence - a different Lawrence to be sure, but still, his name is Lawrence, probably to hammer in to fans’ heads that their bio-dad doesn’t matter in the grand scheme of things
Isabella’s dad has a speaking role
Irving was GOING to be a part of this adventure, but was inevitably left behind - they gang once in a while mentions him, acting like he’s there when he actually wasn’t
Phineas actually snaps at Ferb or Isabella or whoever about saving Candace, being super worried about her and stuff - he apologizes immediately
Ferb ends up having another uplifting speech, that dissolves into a wave of frustration as he goes to destroy the aliens that kidnapped his sister
Phineas, Ferb, and the gang find Perry in space - no one questions how he got there, not even Doofenshmirtz. Maybe Candace and Vanessa do but they stay quiet
Vanessa learns that Perry’s family is the Flynn-Fletcher’s
Candace and Vanessa have a duet
Monogram constantly interrupts Perry on his adventure, leading to Perry eventually throwing away his communicator - he feels a sense of freedom that is brief upon getting a new one when he gets home
Schnitzel gets a cameo
No she doesn’t. That’s not actually possible. This was a test to see if you actually read this
There’s a “death scene” in this movie, but the character who “dies” is okay
Milo’s brief presence in the movie inevitably is what causes the events to play out
Candace, Vanessa, and Isabella all sing a song together
Buford ends up using the canoe (that he carries throughout the entire movie, that was also confirmed) for everything except for what a canoe is supposed to be used for
Buford has an “I am so in love with her right now” moment (if it’s with Vanessa, Ferb ends up Vulcan Pinching him for seemingly no reason)
There will be a very touching Canderemy scene
The alien that teams up with Phineas, Ferb, and the gang plus Doofenshmirtz either turns traitor, or makes a noble sacrifice in order to ensure their safety
The alien is probably the younger sibling of the alien Candace befriends
Meap has an appearance in the movie, whether it’s a cameo or him playing a very small part in their overall adventure
After returning to earth Doofenshmirtz claims he’ll never go to outer space again, but then suddenly gets a sense of foreboding as Milo and Melissa walk passed him from far behind, hinting at certain events in Milo Murphy’s Law
Weird Al has a musical number in this movie (not Milo. Just Weird Al)
There’s a montage on when Phineas, Ferb, and Candace were much younger (bonus points if younger Isabella appears in this montage at least once)
Phineas, Ferb, and the gang sing a song together (probably about the power of friendship or something, I dunno)
One of the characters keeps saying space puns and drives everyone crazy (I’m voting on Phineas, but Buford is also a good contender for this, probably a better one in fact)
Phineas and Ferb both cry in this movie
There are nods to Isabella and Baljeet’s heritages (cuz I think that would be neat)
The Fireside Girls help the gang out from Earth, much like in the episode “Out to Launch”
In fact, all the episodes involving Phineas and Ferb going into space are mentioned in this episode - one such mention gets a “but that hasn’t happened yet” response from Ferb
Phineas, Ferb, and the gang end up getting captured
There’s more than one epic fight scene in this movie
One of the items that caused the possible disaster at the “big game” mentioned in the preview was the very t-shirt canon that Candace uses to fight off the alien invasion
Isabella ends up nearly admitting her feelings to Phineas when the gang are in a deadly situation with seemingly no way out - they’re either rescued by Doofenshmirtz or Candace
At the end of the movie (probably post credits), although the aliens are defeated, they end up abducting Thaddeus and Thor’s sister, Mandy - instead of helping her, they decide to go play video games
Baljeet has a musical number about the probabilities of them being able to save Candace (which is very slim); Phineas and the others keep being positive while ultimately ignoring Baljeet’s warnings
Somehow, Klimpaloon makes an appearance; we ALL know the Giant Floating Baby Head is gonna appear, so what’s the point?
Doofenshmirtz and Vanessa have a very sweet father-daughter moment (maybe one that hints at Doofenshmirtz’s future reformation, but I dunno)
Vanessa and Norm also have a sweet moment, as the reason why she was captured was because Norm is considered her younger brother, much to Doofenshmirtz’s chagrin
Vanessa and Ferb talk to each other once in this movie
Vanessa and Monty are dating in the time frame of this movie - whether Monty actually shows up in the movie or even should show up in the movie, I dunno
Isabella teases Ferb about his crush on Vanessa before he shoots back about her crush on Phineas - all while Phineas is standing there, completely oblivious
Phineas and Ferb actually have an argument
Phineas has a Candace moment. I dunno what that would look like, but that’s what I wanna see
The couple with the wife who’s like “What did you think a(n) [insert specific thing] was going to fall from the sky?” make an appearance
Isabella gets lost in Phineasland at least once
At the end of the movie, business goes back to usual - Candace attempts to bust the boys and fails, but she’s surprisingly cheery about it, probably saying something like “Ah~...home sweet home.”
The movie ends with the guitar riff, like in any Phineas and Ferb episode

what do you think are the problems with how the kids are written in s3?
okay to preface this some of these problems arent really Problems they’re like. nitpicks. and a lot of them are just a matter of opinion based on my perception of the kids so im not trying to like trash this season skdfjsdlkfj
max: i had the most beef with max’s storyline bc i think its the most like. egregious flaw of the season. im Not talking about her being teamed up with el, i thought that was actually great and one of the best parts of the season. im talking specifically about her dynamic with billy. after watching him try to beat up lucas and then actually beat up steve only like 8 months before the season you’d think, realistically, she’d be cautious around billy. in season two she was obviously scared of him, like in the car when he grabbed her arm and she was visibly terrified, so it makes absolutely no sense that in season three she’d be willing to sneak into his room and make all these justifications as to why he’s just a normal teenage boy. ive seen people be like “she was just in denial, she didn’t think he’d really kill anyone!” and like........yeah maybe? but she did watch him almost kill steve. their relationship is just so much more casual and like....friendly? compared to season two which like severely sucks because it sorta just erases any trauma max would have relating to her brother being violent and aggressive and prone to just attacking her friends. it was all part of this weird backpedal the duffers did to convince us that billy actually isnt That Bad and therefore deserves a redemption arc. as someone who really related to max in season two because of that sibling dynamic, it sucks.
mike: i think they took the whole “mike is a brooding asshole” thing way too far this season, and they have no real justification for it. in season one, mike is a fucking sweetheart. he’s selfless to the point of literally jumping off a cliff for dustin. he has a line where he’s specifically like “you’re All my best friends and i dont prioritize any one of you over anyone else.” in season two, he’s obviously moody and irritable, but that’s because he’s Insanely Traumatized. he formed a really close bond with el and then watched her fucking disappear into who knows where, he doesn’t know if she’s alive or dead, he’s terrified for will, it makes sense in season two why he would be so perpetually angry at the world and everyone around him. in season three, though, mike is in a pretty good spot. will is fine, el is fine And he gets to see her, his literal biggest problem at the start of the season is that he’s scared of hopper and his middle school relationship is in turmoil. it makes No Sense that he’d completely brush off will and then basically be like “fuck you gayboy” when will brings this up. like since when!!! does mike have such little regard for his friends!! it serves no purpose other than drama and it destroys basically his core character trait
will: obviously he was just like completely sidelined this season. i think it’s good that he has a storyline about feeling alienated from his friends as they grow up and he tries to cling to his childhood and the things that feel normal to him. my only complaint is that they gave him like, one episode to explore that storyline. also i really don’t think will would have so much outright contempt for el. like i get what they’re going for, i get that it’s part of his conflicting feelings about his own sexuality and his dynamic with mike and stuff, but el isn’t just a random girl to will. there should have been a little more nuance there imo
el: honestly don’t have that many problems with el’s storyline this season. i Loved the idea of her exploring an identity that isn’t just what other people think of her or expect of her, loved her hanging out with max, i even liked her investigating the billy thing UNTIL they just used her as a prop to make us feel sad for billy. but overall i think she had a really good story in season 3
lucas: again. severely underutilized. lucas is kinda just becoming comic relief which really bugs me because he was amazing in season one when he actually got to have a story arch that wasn’t just like. having a crush on a girl. i do appreciate that lucas had like 50 moments of heroism. idk if that was like, an accident, because they never really explicitly discuss it, but there were multiple moments in season 3 where lucas basically saved everyone’s ass. would’ve liked to see more of him and erica because she’s, yknow, his little sister and they barely interact the whole season.
dustin: ok ok ok OK OK dustin is complicated this season because they kinda did a complete 180 with him halfway through the season. i was Really vibing with dustin for the first like, five episodes. dustin has always been written as kind of a lonely child, even within his group of friends, and so i think it’s natural that he have a season away from them. the sweetest thing about steve and dustin’s relationship is that dustin has always felt to some degree like an outsider in his own group (in season one he’s already come to terms with the fact that mike likes will and lucas more than him) and so it’s doubly sweet that he befriends this “cool” “badass” older kid who’s actually super lame and he can be lame with. and for the first half of season three, they really cashed in on that bond. dustin and steve wrote to each other while he was at camp, they have a secret handshake, he Literally says the words “you die, i die” like it’s an intense bond that’s only natural from someone like dustin who is so intensely loyal to his friends and finally has someone who he can consider to be His Own. but then the moment steve and robin get taken by the russians it’s suddenly like a switch is flipped and dustin is just. annoyed and exasperated???? he’s not really in a hurry to get help, he’s not that concerned when steve is like laying on the floor with his face absolutely smashed to hell, he’s MAD at steve when he tells him that he accidentally gave up his name UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF DRUGS like it’s insane. the scoops troop storyline as a whole has this really weird, kinda disturbing, comedic tone and i think this just falls under that. they ultimately decided that dustin being an exasperated keeper of two stoned teenagers would be way funnier than dustin being genuinely concerned that his favorite person just got his shit absolutely wrecked. also, the suzy thing was weird.

Here's a thought
I do appreciate all those Slytherin×Hufflepuff or Slytherin×Ravenclaw posts, but I raise you: Slytherin and Gryffindor.
• It's a rocky friendship with a lot of threats and arguments, but that's how they show their fondness to each other.
• it's either 'don't even breathe in my direction' or 'I'll help you hide the body'. No in between.
• pranks will get very intense very quickly.
• they are both dumbasses. Gryffindor is the dumbass who would die for them, to which the Slytherin would call them an idiot for. But the Slytherin would kill for them and the Gryffindor would definitely be annoyed because they could've handled the situation fine.
• God save the poor soul who makes fun of either the Gryffindor or the Slytherin because the other will literally destroy them.
• they both play pranks on others and the Gryffindor usually gets caught. The Slytherin usually throws them under the bus.
• when one of them is down, the other will send them a howler who will proceed to yell nice things at them.
• they don't talk about feelings but they don't need to. And they don't pry. If they don't want to talk about feelings, then they won't. The other just says dumb things until the other one smiles and calls them a huge dumbass.
• the world is not ready for their combined assholishness.
• it's bad enough if you manage to get in an argument with one of them, but both of them? With the Slytherin's neutral good and Gryffindor's chaotic good? It's game over. They will rip you to shreds without even batting an eye. It's psychologically damaging.
• people don't know how, but it works.
• they promised each other to avenge the other if one of them gets brutally murdered.
• board games will end up with the two teaming against their opponent(s) or teaming up against each other. Either way, someone is definitely ending up at Madame Pomfrey's (or dead).
• together, they allow themselves to be realist and say things how they are. That's one of the things they like most about their friendship-- they can be brutally blunt with each other and just say things how they are. No sugar coating.
• people tremble when they see the two walk down the halls together.
• the Gryffindor is willing to fight anyone and the Slytherin can destroy someone with words. Together, even Voldemort wouldn't have stood a chance.
• Ravenclaw and Slytherin could take over the world with their combined intellect, but don't doubt that Gryffindor and Slytherin couldn't do the same with their combined disregard for rules and personal well-being as well as the combined forces of bravery and cunningness.
• occasionally, they'll make a polyjuice potion and spend a day in each other's lives simply to wreak havoc.
• in their own way, they like to annoy people, but together the general mayhem and chaos increases by a thousandfold.
• they've received detention more times than any of the Marauders and the twins combined and McGonagall has gotten around to calling THEM the new generation of Marauders. Though secretly, she quite enjoys their pranks-- it livens the place up a bit.
• the pranking gets so much worse when these two overhear her saying that to a teacher.
• when they get detention they say that they're carrying out a legacy. (McGonagall can't help but smile)
• these two would blatantly lie to a teacher for their friend and/or take the blame and then refuse to admit it and never speak of it again.
• favours are always done, but are never spoken of.
• if someone mentions the favours, they will end up pinned against the wall and threatened to be hexed.
• both of them realize that the rivalry between Slytherin and Gryffindor is dumb and start constantly showing it. Mostly by cheering for the other team or getting a pet snake one year.
• the Slytherin decides to get a lion as a prank and the Gryffindor gets detention much to the Slytherin's amusement.
• the comeback comes a day later. The Slytherin reluctantly shows up for breakfast with their head transfigured into that of a snake and they threaten to bite anyone who mentions the situation. The Gryffindor is dying at their table. They get another week of detention.
• they hear about the Marauders map and decide to make their own.
• they sometimes hang out in the chamber of secrets because it turns out that the Gryffindor and Slytherin can imitate Parseltongue like no one else.
• they find a way communicate in Parseltongue and it annoys people to no end to hear that weird hissing everywhere and not know what it means.
• usually it's just gossip.
• they go together like thunder and lightning. Deafening and likely to set something on fire and very much unpredictable and dangerous.
• it's actually a very honest friendship and these two are stupidly loyal to each other.
• they're literally like siblings. It's actually insane.
• the Slytherin has as much chance of doing something as the Gryffindor has of not doing it, but put them together and they will definitely do something stupid together and get away with it.
• the Slytherin never gets caught and everyone think it's all the Gryffindor, but it's just that the Slytherin is better at lying.
• they help each other with homework when the other doesn't understand. And they both sneak into each other's common room and to this day, no one knows how they do it.
• it's the sibling dynamic no one wanted or needed.
(Please feel free to add to this. It would be amazing. I'd love to hear about your thoughts (: )

Hello. You said before that you wrote a supernatural fanfic that you lost? I was just wondering if you could say what it was about (if you want to, I don't want to be a bother)? I read some of your other fics and while I don't understand a lot because I'm not in those fandoms I feel like you would have a better end of Supernatural than whatever that was we just got (If you've heard about that). Sorry for long ask, thank you if you answer or if you don't!
Oh, I’ve heard about it, LMAO!
I used to be deep in the SPN fandom on tumblr. Went to a con, met Jared, Jensen, Misha, Jim (got a photo with all 4 of them!), Kim, Rachel, Richard, Matt, and even met Genevieve in passing! Oh, and the guy who played Dick the Leviathan. I totally blank on his name. I think I bailed around season... 8 or 9?
Kind of rage-quit after they killed off Kevin. At that point they’d just done too much of that crap in a single season and it was pretty obvious they’d lost any semblance of care for the writing, so I bailed.
I’m fine talking about the plot of my fic. When I’d had time to process the shock of losing more than 200 pages of writing *sobs* I posted a summary of how it was supposed to go for my readers. When I do that it’s my way of saying “I quit forever”.
I’ll put the main answer below the cut, since it’ll probably end up being long. My fic was in the form of an entire season of SPN, one 45-47 page chapter per “episode”, so it’s a bit to summarize...
The story took place at some indeterminate point after Season 6. It was written to be independent of the Leviathan Storyline, but really could fit in just about anywhere. I think I’d used details from the season where Sam Carter from SG1/SGA was an evil angel lady, but also it was heavily anchored in Seasons 1-6.
It started with mass destruction in this one town. In the middle of the crater something ragged and uncontrolled and evil appeared. Seriously- destruction was the core of it all. Pure, raw, uncontained power lashing out at everything.
And then the creature at the center of the swarm starts to walk away, leaving a path of destruction behind it.
After a chapter or two of monster-of-the-week type stuff, Sam and Dean started hearing whispers of this thing. Like it was circling them. Through Cas they find out that Heaven is on edge- something has escaped from the deepest, darkest corners of Heaven’s Prison (Dean makes a comment about how hell is supposed to be heaven’s prison, but Cas explains that there are some things too horrible to be sent to hell, away from the watchful guard of angels).
My favorite chapter of anything I’ve ever written opened with people shopping in a store in some small town, kind of a boutique store, and there is a sudden violent quake, everything goes pitch black, then kind of orange. They hear strange noises and long story short Hell is basically growing unstable, collapsing on itself, and this store just randomly fell into Hell. With all the dicking around on the surface with the apocalypse and Leviathans and whatever the fuck else, reality is essentially collapsing in on itself. Heaven, Hell, Purgatory, and the mortal world are all colliding.
Sam and Dean are trying to figure out why this store just kind of vanished (the authorities say sinkhole but it’s basically a crater where this thing once stood) when Sam collapses.
Dean gets him to the hospital and is suddenly dizzy. He turns and finds himself trapped in his own mind, where the thing circling them appears. It needs something from Hell, Dean needs to save the humans, and neither can complete their goal without the other.
The woman (it is all in black and appears to have no face, but speaks with a female voice) has ripped a piece of Sam’s soul away. He is trapped in horrific agony and the woman will leave him there forever if Dean doesn’t help her.
She manages to open a path between this world and hell and Dean goes back to hell with her.
When they return (somewhat victorious but it’s very gory and a lot of people died), Dean has no idea what it is she’s taken. But also where there was once swirling black mist under the hood of her cloak, there is a face rotted, ripped, and destroyed.
Adventures, Adventures, Adventures
The boys cross paths with the woman again. She’s stronger now and her face is looking more human-esque. Castiel is also extremely agitated as he learns about this woman and all he’ll tell Dean is that he needs to kill her on sight. Castiel gives Dean one of the angelic blades for protection (Cas was with them for a lot of the story but I can’t remember what I had him doing).
Dean comes across this thing again, it is standing over Sam as he screams and writhes and so he stabs it with the angelic blade- the thing that should kill anything.
It doesn’t do shit.
Adventure, drama and whatnot later (around what would be episode 19) the story comes out in fits and bursts:
Once upon a time, in the 1600s, Zachariah decided to make an apocalyptic safety net. He manipulated events to bring together a Campbell and Winchester line (implied Sam and Dean are descended from siblings of these two). The couple had two children- Elizabeth (older) and Matthew (younger).
Two powerful demon hunting families were outcasts in their village. They were forced to live far from the main settlement, and one day the villagers went all witch-hunt-ie and burned the parents alive. Elizabeth and Matthew (only a small child) were left alone.
One winter, as Matthew was dying and Elizabeth- barely alive herself- was hunting in the forest, she came across a young native American man. It was love at first sight. She collapses and he follows her tracks to carry her back to her hovel. When she comes to he’s built a fire, prepared some food (Elizabeth was a shit hunter, couldn’t hit the broad side of a barn from 3 feet away), and has also given Matthew some herbs that help break his fever.
Elizabeth and the young man (I can’t remember what name i gave him) fell deeper in love over that winter. But right when she starts to think things are getting better, the villagers are incensed. They attack, and make Elizabeth watch as they burn Matthew and her love. At this point Matthew is like 6, so, you know, truamatic.
Elizabeth is deemed a feeble-minded woman and kind of thrown aside. That night she goes on a rampage and murders a lot of the villagers in their beds before they catch her and hang her.
But that wasn’t the end of Elizabeth Winchester’s story. It was the beginning.
Elizabeth was a safety net for the apocalypse. Her soul should have gone to Hell for what she did, but instead Zachariah dragged her up into Heaven’s Prison. There, Zachariah tortured Elizabeth for 400 years (which is idk in heaven-time, there is a whole segment of the fandom who analyzes the time in heaven/hell vs on earth).
She became, essentially, a demon made by Heaven itself. They were trying to get her to say ‘yes’ to Michael. That way, if Dean proved to be a turd (spoiler alert: the biggest turd), heaven could resurrect Elizabeth and Michael has a backup. One of the main tortures Zachariah employed was literally strapping angelic grace to her. Demons on Earth are burned up when they catch a glimpse of Grace, but in Heaven she couldn’t even die, so it both drove her overwhelmingly insane and also made her incredibly powerful.
After Zachariah’s death she was forgotten, and left in her cage with that grace burning her soul for years.
Bobby, Jo, Ellen, etc. canonically wander through heaven at-will, evading angels when needed. They were the ones who found their way into the prison and brought her out, but too quickly lost control of her and she returned to the world of the living herself.
A demon with the grace of an archangel.
Bobby, Jo, Ellen, etc. made a pact with her- they let her go, she enters the Cage and destroys both Lucifer AND Michael.
What appeared to be Elizabeth torturing Sam (it kinda was- she’s half demon remember) was also a sort of act of kindness. Sam’s soul was still lashed to The Cage. It was covered in the markings of that place, and when he died it would suck his soul back in. Elizabeth was removing those marks- essentially skinning Sam’s soul and applying those pieces to herself to give her access to the Cage. Taking Dean with her to Hell was also so she could get something that would help her in the Cage.
As they are preparing for her to rip apart the rest of the marks on Sam’s soul (which may kill him), Heaven is trying to intervene to stop her (because Team Michael and they want the apocalypse back on track). They send an archangel to stop her--
The young man she’d fallen in love with back when she was human.
It turns out the man was an angel all along- he played her and arranged his own horrible end (and that of her brother) to push her over the edge. They needed a pure soul with a bit of demonic power to maybe give Elizabeth an edge as a vessel for Michael.
She rips the grace out of the angel. Zachariah’s torture- constantly strapping her to a grace and ripping it away taught her how. It is the most agonizing and horrific end to an angel possible, her act of vengeance.
Eventually Elizabeth would make it to Hell, rip Michael’s grace from Adam, and the Cage would seal behind her after she sent Adam back up. There was going to be a sequel (second season) in which Elizabeth returns.
Her relationship with Sam and Dean in “season 1″ was very contentious and kind of frenemy-esque (think Meg at times). “Season 2″ was going to be more about her just not knowing what to do now. She can’t trust heaven or hell, so she kind of ends up lost and following the Winchesters on their hunts without them noticing her at first or being able to speak to her (like she only shows up sometimes and then vanishes again).
“Season 2″ wasn’t really planned out, but by the end of it they’d have found out Chuck was God. As a sort of apology/ way to get them to stop constantly resurrecting people in the goddamn show/ reward Elizabeth’s soul was “healed” of it’s demonic edge, the Grace would fully anchor (making her an archangel), and she would be given a new realm of death to rule over- one for hunters or supernatural creatures who had been resurrected or in some way used by Heaven or Hell to spend their afterlife at peace.
No chance of resurrection, no matter the spell, and no interference even by other archangels. The hunters dicking around with the paths through heaven would be sent there too (for their protection, the angels in heaven were starting to hunt them in return).
I feel like I’m missing details, I somewhat repress my memories of this fic because losing it was that traumatic, but yeah. That was the general thrust of it.

never been through a rwby hiatus so right now i’m dealing with imagining what next season might entail, so i have to jot down some of my thoughts before i go insane. /after/ the keep reading line, because this will probably get pretty long.
i was wondering... since we know exactly NOTHING at all about clover’s life i do feel like we will have flashbacks with him and ironwood and 3/4 of the ace ops (i think marrow joined the rest recently)
james still is the academy’s headmaster after all, and i do feel like clover, harriet, elm and vine were a team at that school, like rwby and jnpr. aside elm and vine that still work as a pair, clover and harriet would be the other pair because he would be pretty good at setting her up (like we saw in the geist battle scene in v7e03) and, before marrow and his semblance, he’d be a solid counterpart to her style of fighting.
clover said TWO times that he trusts ironwood with his life and you don’t commit that much to someone that is just your boss, you know? so i’m guessing james saved their (the team) lives in one way or the other. maybe clover was like jaune - not supposed to be in the academy but got in anyway because the headmaster saw his potential? or maybe he was in a rough situation and he gave him a way out? thinking about that, i suppose this team would be a parallel to jnpr, even though he'd be pyrrha (”someone had to take the fall”.................. the fall....... fall................................................................ *sighs* goddamn it show, so that’s why he said that very awkward sentence uh). then the very clear parallel between nora & ren and elm & vine, and with harriet being the jaune of the team. i guess i can see a parallel between those last two in how full of rage they get; as of right now i can’t think of something else beside them being paired with the uh, with the dead ones. (please don’t make harriet/clover a thing, i’ll throw the whole show in a garbage can and then put it on fire)
all of this was to make the point of how james will react to clover’s death. the thing is, if he’s less than devastated i’d be surprised. the only people he considers close (?), as of the end of v7, are winter and him and she has basically started slipping away from his grasp just by letting her sister&ruby and penny, the MAIDEN, go and giving them time to run. clover was THE most loyal to him, and that loyalty and trust costed him his life. his death will probably be the breaking point for ironwood (and the rest of the ace ops) next season. because, taking this back to the previous paragraph, clover would also have been a student in his school. he’d have chosen him to BE there and to be a team leader. and then appointed him as the leader of HIS PRIVATE ELITE TEAM. that’s... so many things. i’m not sure how wide the age gap between the two is/was but i’m going to guess that he did consider him... what, a protegé? a younger sibling? who knows. but he’d still care about him and his safety.
the thing about ironwood is... so far, he hasn’t lost someone close to him. glynda is god’s-knows-where in beacon, with ozpin he always had a difficult relationship (and we saw how THAT went when he shot a kid), leonardo seemed like someone that had lost contacts with the world and in general it didn’t sound like they were friends at any point? and him and qrow are also an entire different thing with them being polar opposites, and qrow is still alive. everything that james has sacrificed, so far, has been away from him, emotionally. mantle, robyn, the rest of remnant... none of that affects HIM. but clover? clover was one of few people (i’d add penny too but it doesn’t seem like he considers her like an actual person) he trusted with the info about the relics and the maidens. he only has his mind set on salem and for him to put his trust on someone means the world.
loyalty is EVERYTHING to him. that’s the literal one thing he cares about on a personal level. it’s what is close to him. and he just lost the only one person that actually put the same loyalty he demanded from others and what did that accomplish? nothing at all. tyrian has escaped, he can’t get to the staff, salem is on her way to destroy atlas, rwby+jnor have ran away with the maiden. but he died, following his orders.
edit (10/06th): i changed my mind on several things from this last part but i’m keeping it as a reminder to myself i guess? keep james alive please //so the theory of clover coming back with ironwood sacrifing himself makes a lot of sense. will it happen? only crwby knows. it would be a small way to redeem his character and not have him as a full blown villain.
another thing i’d expect from v8 is fair game related and yet another parallel to bumbleby: we had yang have ptsd related to adam, i’m fairly positive qrow will have nightmares on his last encounter with tyrian as well. i don’t think he fully realizes what clover meant to him. yet. so v8 will probably be about him discovering himself and clearing up what his feelings are and, hopefully, he will be able to have clover back in his life. and so they will have their second chance to make it right.//

I finished Fire Emblem Fates a while back, meaning Revelation and the extra plot-related DLCs.  In short, I enjoyed them a lot, though the final plot portions for Revelation do fall kinda flat by the end.  The Hidden Truths and Heirs of Fate DLC sets improve those points a little bit, and as stand-alone maps they are very challenging and fun (Hidden Truths 2 and Heirs of Fate 5 and 6 are my favorites in those sets) but one shouldn’t have to pay for extra DLC for knowledge that should’ve been in the main game (maybe should’ve had Hidden Truths just be available after beating Revelation?  Heirs of Fate was something fully new though.)
Been wanting to make a post on it for a while since I had made some earlier while going through the games, and I want to wrap it up properly.  One of the things I didn’t like seeing as I took my time playing was seeing people I follow go full-on into it, and then come out disappointed in the end.  Having finished it, I can see and agree with a lot of those points, but at the same time I still enjoyed the game very much and had a great time.  But I can’t deny that the plot and extra details that should’ve been there that makes the series so wonderful... didn’t live up to the potential its announcement had me get hype for (though overhyping was my own fault definitely).  Getting into heavy spoilers after the break, of course.
As a whole, the things I liked most about the game were the music, gameplay, and overall presentation.  The soundtrack is stellar the whole way through, and the gameplay changeup with the weapon types still held strong.  I like they way they used the weapon triangle to have tomes/bows/knives in the mix along with the usual sword/lance/axe group, and it continues to do well in Heroes, I’m finding!  And the final boss fights are exquisite.  Birthright feels lesser than Conquest and Revelation, but only because Birthright’s is so... normal compared to the other two.
Now it’s time for the bad parts.  I mentioned this in an earlier post, but Corrin and company really should’ve held off on having kids until the war ended. So many childhoods lost in time.  (The kids themselves are alright characters though.)  Also,
Now, for real, issues with the game, starting with the plot:  As was shown all the way back when it launched, it all centered around “the choice”.  Hoshido, Nohr, or neither, as had been made apparent since game was announced.  This ends up being the first major problem.  But it’s not in the nature of the choice itself.  All three do have the major effect that sets the game into the specific paths.  Birthright and Conquest proceed logically enough: Side with Hoshido, and while the Nohrian siblings are shocked and saddened, they ultimately pull their punches because they know that they are on the wrong side, but being royalty they can’t abandon their country.  Side with Nohr, and Hoshido is legitimately outraged and hold nothing back, but seeing Corrin’s determination and actions in battle is able to convince them to take a chance on them; not that they have many options after being defeated and invaded.  Revelation... uses some contrivances to keep everyone from joining up immediately.  I mean, it would be too much to have everyone drop their arms just because Corrin pleads with them to stop because they love them all, but the brothers all get very hostile, and then there’s the whole curse things that comes up... it’s a bit of a mess but manageable.
But the choice never really lives up to its hype.  The routes are pretty similar in context, just that the kingdoms you’re fighting are mostly turned around.  And even then, there really seems to be a main order in how it should be played, just by how the escalation happens along with plot reveals: “Birthright -> Conquest -> Revelation -> DLC”.
One of my biggest issues though, is that by the end of the game they simply don’t go far enough with the consequences of the different path splits.  The fates of Nohr and Hoshido at large are given, but other than that, nothing is really said about the losing side or the other areas of the world after the war, despite the whole conflict being a world war. For each path, none of the “every-route” characters really have anything different about them despite your route.  You’d think Mozu and Kaze would at least have some reservations about fighting for Nohr in Conquest.  Likewise, Jakob, Felicia, and Silas having to fight against their homeland in Birthright.  Only Azura seems to have different thoughts about the routes, which is expected, as she is a vitally important main character.  More annoying than that though, is that you don’t get epilogues for the characters of the other side that may have survived.
One example of this:  In Chapter 23 of Birthright, during the fight against Camilla, Elise’s retainers, Arthur and Effie, are on the field as enemy units.  If Corrin is able to bring Elise (who’s helping them and is hiding in their shadow or something) to talk to them, they join up as green units, who you can protect through the fight.  Do so, and they survive and wish Elise well (as Elise sends you away to prevent you from actually getting any of them as units.)  Elise then dies a plotline death in Chapter 26 trying to stop Xander and Corrin from fighting.  However, even though you could save them, Arthur and Effie, and any possible reaction to their liege’s death, is never seen.  And if, like me, you played Conquest first this is extremely jarring!  There’s other characters who can be fought as enemies or ignored in their final fight, but nothing comes out of sparing them.  How are we supposed to really feel the consequences of our actions if we don’t see their effects!?
Another major issue with the plot of this game is its worldbuilding.  By the end, you know very little about the world and the people who live in it, only the most basic of knowledge for any of the nations, minus any details found in supports of course.  Some of my gripes:
With the game starting as it is and how Chapter 3 goes down, you’d think that everything west of the Bottomless Canyon is Nohr, and everything to the east is Hoshido.  Nope!  Turns out that there’s many other nations which don’t really amount to much plot significance outside of their chapter.
What happens to Izumo after Izana’s death in Revelation?
The celestial event that happens in Chapters 16-17 of Revelation is pretty striking, the skies over the nations changing like that.  Why does this literally not happen in the other routes despite the game taking the same amount of time generally?
Takumi’s disappearance.  You don’t find out about it in Conquest, but apparently he was taken to the Bottomless Canyon in Birthright and Conquest so that he could be possessed and become the final boss of Conquest.  He’s also disappeared in Revelation, but apparently was just chilling in Izumo?  Despite it taking longer for the team to find him?
What doesn’t Felicia know about hers and Flora’s situation with Corrin that Flora doesn’t want to talk about?  This actually is answered, but only in a special case.  If you didn’t make a female Corrin on Conquest so that Jakob could fight her in Chapter 8, you will never know the whole truth.
Hoping for those ancient texts in the MyCastle Library to be translated after getting far enough in the game?  Nope!  It’s a cryptoquote puzzle with the last text as the cipher.  Either solve it or check the internet. (It has some spoilers though.)
In the end of Revelation, Corrin liberates the secret kingdom of Valla from Anankos’ rule and becomes its new monarch.  Is there even anyone left there that’s alive after the whole possession/Faceless mutation/curse powers that Anankos was doing?
Who was that unamed knight who visited the rainbow sage?  He’s mentioned when you visit him but it is never followed up on.
The worst though, is that the final big reveal of the game, the identity of the mastermind and why they’re trying to destroy the world?  It is the ancient Dragon God Anankos, who’s doing this do so because his primal impulses of his biology took over and made him madbecause he lived for too long.
That’s... really weak and disappointing.
And that’s all you learn about Anankos... in Revelation, that is.  Revelation has next to nothing about him, in no small part because he created a curse that would evaporate anyone who spoke of him or the kingdom of Valla outside of the Kingdom of Valla (even across dimensions!), and then acts like it’s humanity’s fault that they forgot him.
However, the DLC fills in some much-needed details.  From Hidden Truths, it was revealed that Anankos was able to see into the future and knew this would happen to him eventually, but loved humanity so much that he didn’t want to abandon them, so he also came up with ways to try and counter this issue.  They ended up failing, of course.  Still, I wouldn’t be surprised if those visions contributed to him raging in the first place, like a self-fulfilling prophecy.  Then after being abandoned and sealed up save for his closest human friend, he ends up killing him when his rage takes hold again, and ends up ripping out his soul because he couldn’t live with himself.  Now being minus a soul, of course his actions are going to be nonsensical and apathetic to anything around him.  And then Heirs of Fate shows his actual true plan in his madness after finishing the destruction of the world: go through the astral planes to find a reality where he didn’t go insane and destroy everything, so that he could get back to his beloved kingdom.  The thing his, because he’s still insane, he still sees humanity as a problem, and because his descent into insanity was inevitable, by this point there is no alternate reality where he didn’t go insane and kill/enslave everyone in Valla.  I still think the whole Biology!RAGE thing is bullshit as this wasn’t an issue for dragons in the other Fire Emblem games I’ve played, but these details do give something to his character where there was nothing before.
Back to Revelation though, the real heavy villain turns out to actually be Gunter, taking Takumi’s place from Conquest as a possessed living puppet of Anankos.  Although he’s somewhat underpowered, he has motivation, is an awesome character story-wise, (mainly if you took the chance to get his supports in Conquest and respect the guy first), and has a delicious irony of Anankos exploiting his motives for revenge against Garon, to end up serving the same monster that butchered his wife, child, and hometown. (Because from what the game tells about the real Garon, it could only have been the slime-puppet who would’ve ordered such a thing).  It sets it up pretty well... if it didn’t also spoil it by preventing you from supporting with Gunter at all on that route.  Way to spoil the Chapter 26 twist all the way back in Chapter 7/8, when hints are supposed to be dropped around Chapter 25... I guess it makes sense, since Corrin or Jakob might’ve noticed something was wrong with him if they engaged him on a more personal level, but after you release him from Anankos’ control you still can’t support with him then.
So... that’s pretty much it.  I enjoyed this game a lot but it was dragged on for way too long, and didn’t fully deliver on its premise.  I am very hopeful for Echoes though.  Having to write only 1 re-imagined story that already mostly exists instead of 3 and not having to deal with dating pool support groups hopefully means the story and writing will be a bit tighter like some of the previous games.  Plus that snippet of an in-game cutscene looked more expressive than most of Fates’, which just used default character combat actions.  Already signs of improvement I hope!
