I just had a wild thought. Spoilers for Bad Batch so stop reading now. There are videos surfacing with extended footage of S2 of Bad Batch (it’s not that much longer only like 20-30 sec maybe) but it includes obviously more Omega screen time but also Cody and Crosshair talking, as if they will be working together for S2. And it’s well established that Dave Filoni had/has plans for a showdown between Rex and Cody. We know Cody still has his chip. In BB S1, Crosshair tells Hunter (and the rest of the Batch) that he had his chip removed ‘a long time ago’. I don’t think he’s lying. Crosshair isn’t shown to be a liar. He’s blunt, severe and unyielding. He tells it like it is. My personal HC is that Crosshair had his chip taken out right after Tarkin told the Kaminoans (forget if it was a random scientist or Nala Se) to enhance the chip. This is the only time I can see ‘a long time ago’ meaning and the only way to test the ‘enhancements’ effectiveness would be to remove the chip to see if the effects became permanent. But this isn’t confirmed, just a thought (I also HC that about 2-3 weeks pass between each episode so about a whole yr passes between S1 and S2).

It’s established that the Batch know a few ‘reg’ clones (mostly from the 501st and the 212th) from S7 of CW. The Batch already know who Cody is so I think when Crosshair sees Cody again, he’ll not only remember ‘the good times’ with his brothers, but he’ll really start to understand and realize that this is not the same Cody from the Anaxes mission (or any missions before since Rex knows they ‘sometimes report to Commander Cody’) and the Empire is responsible for Cody’s change. I think ‘chipped’ Cody would be more intense than un-chipped Crosshair and Cross will be unsure about even telling Cody about the chip’s existence (at this point very few outside Empire and the Kaminoans know about the inhibitor chips and are alive—Rex, Ahsoka, possibly Cut?? Idk I remember seeing that somewhere but wasn’t sure if it was true). I really hope they show more of Crosshair’s morality in S2 and show him struggle with the truth of things. I hope seeing Cody again will bring up feelings for Crosshair and I want to see him struggle with telling Cody about the chips.

So yeah…I guess that’s it..I like talking about Star Wars stuff haha and anyone is invited to share their thoughts as well

You were a superstar on Raw and when you heard your long time crush, Jey Uso, had been brought in by one of your closest friends, Cody Rhodes, you nearly died. You had confided in Cody about liking Jey and he apparently liked to take things into his own hands. Cody knew he would be worth it for Raw and since he basically was exiled by his family, he knew it was the perfect opportunity, for Raw and well one of his closest friends, you.

So there you where marching down the halls in your heels, you where only there for an interview anyway for the night, making your way to find Cody.

“CODY RUNNELS! I SWEAR TO GOD” you yelled down the hall when you saw him. Cody, who was talking to, albeit, Jey or Josh, turned around and had the biggest smile on his face. Even if you called him by his real name.

“Oh hey y/n!” Cody smiles. You March up to him and pinch his pec that he had surgery on a bit ago.

“Shit the hell y/n” Cody fake exclaims.

“You’re an ass, I know what you did” you point your manicured nail at him, Josh just leaning against the wall watching you two with a smirk on his face.

“Well, it’s for the good of everything.” Cody responded. You rolled your eyes.

“I hate you.” You responded. Cody laughed and put his arm around your shoulder and turned to Josh.

“Josh, you remember one of my best friends, y/n” Cody says. Josh pushes off the wall and comes closer to you.

“Yup. Ma with the sweet ass moves that could take down a man” Josh smirks. Your cheeks heat to a dark red hue. Cody laughs.

“Hell yea, my dad taught her well” Cody praises.

“And Dusty would kick your ass for the shit you pulled on me” you scowl at him before turning back to Josh.

“Good to see you break away and be your own person again…don’t think the bloodline knew what they had with you” you shrugged. Josh smirked showing his grillz and nodded.

“‘Preciate that ma.” He smiles. Cody decided at that point decided he was gonna make a get away.

“I gotta go talk to Hunter, I’ll see you round” Cody says to you both.

“I’m still kicking your ass Runnels” you say turning your head to look at him.

“We’ll see” he shrugs as he laughs. You shake your head and pinch the bridge of her nose.

“What he do ma? I could always kick his ass for ya” Josh offered.

“Nah, it’s a little more personal I guess” you say shaking your head. He nods, and steps closer backing you into the wall, his one hand on the side of your head as he looks around to see if anyone is paying attention. When he’s satisfied, he turns his attention back to you.

“Like him bringing me to Raw and letting me know a fine ass like you has a crush on me?” He whispers, close to your face. You let out a squeak sucking in a breath. Cody was gonna pay big time. You tried to laugh it off but it sounded so embarrassing.

“I…I…uh…” you stumble. He lets out a chuckle that reverberated through you at how close he was. You turn your head to not look at him and he brings his free hand up and puts it on your cheek and turns your head to face him.

“It’s okay ma…hell if I wasn’t on smackdown so long, your ass woulda been mine sooner” Josh says as he brings his thumb to trace your lips gently. You were stunned. You looked into his eyes and they held lust with a little bit of affection. His thumb traced down your lips and you opened them to allow his thumb in your mouth, locking your lips around it. You closed your eyes and swirled your tongue slowly around his digit, Josh’s eyes glazing with a lust filled haze. He lifted your face little, his thumb still in your mouth and slowly pulled his digit to replace it with his mouth. Once you felt his lips on yours, it was on. His free hand snaked down your body to your thigh and pulled your leg around his waist, his other hand still holding him against the wall but his body close to yours. Your leg pulled him in tighter as the kiss deepened, his tongue wrestling yours. God he was so good at kissing, almost swallowing you whole. His hand curves up your thigh and kneaded your ass, receiving a moan from you, before it came to rest on the curve of your hip. Your hands gripped into his shirt, wanting nothing more than to tear it off him.

All too soon, Josh slowed the kiss down and slowly pulled away from you. Once his lips were off yours you let out a small sigh, eyes still closed. Josh looked you over, your lips kiss swollen and your eyes shut in the lightest way possible.

“Open your eyes for me ma…I need to see those beautiful eyes” Josh whispered. You slowly opened your eyes and looked up at him and he gave you a smile.

“God, you are so beautiful” Josh says leaning his forehead on yours.

“You’re not so bad yourself” you whisper. He lets out a small chuckle.

“Me and you, tonight, dinner okay?” He asks. You slowly nod.

“Sure…never had Samoan before” you whisper with a wink.

“Don’t worry, that’ll be dessert” he whispers back. You let out a hum and nod, putting your arms around his neck, keeping him close.

“I think you have an interview soon ma…so go get yourself fixed up, try not make it seem like I just almost ravaged you in this hall” he chuckles.

“You’re probably right…I’ll come find you after?”

“I won’t be far ma” he says leaning in to take your lips with his again. Once he’s satisfied he pulls away and taps your thigh that is still wrapped around his hip. You put your leg down and pulls your arms from him and fix your skirt. He pulls away and you are about to start walking when his hand catches yours and pulls you back to him and he kisses you again.

“Good luck with your interview ma” he whispers against your lips. You nod, not being able to form words and attempt to walk away on wobbly legs. Josh chuckles to himself seeing you on wobbly legs in heels.

“She still mad?” Cody says from behind Josh who was watching you walk away.

“Nah, I think she’ll forgive you” Josh laughs looking at Cody. Cody pats his shoulder, gives him a smile and walks away.

I just know tomorrow’s Bad Batch episodes are going to hurt and probably break me lol. I say this every week but I’m scareddd! Final predictions before I go to bed?

We’ll probably find out who Clone X-2 is in the identity crisis episode, though I think the title could be a double-meaning that also refers to Omega being (probably) force sensitive and learning more about what that’s means for her futur. The identity crisis could also refer to Wolffe and his place in the Empire/questioning his place there? But yeah. Probably Clone X-2’s reveal. I hope because I’m sick of theorizing every week about who it is. I want answers!

As for who the mystery clone is, it’s clearly someone important/known, otherwise they wouldn’t make a big deal out of the who question.

Most likely? Cody, probably. He went AWOL, after all, and it would be angsty. I keep thinking of how Rex in Rebels says Cody’s name when he’s having a panic attack, and wondering why he’d say his name. I always thought maybe he watched Cody die. But I’d love to be wrong and have Cody actually be AWOL and on his way to find Obi-Wan.

Could be Tech, who I think most people seem to be theorizing. I’m not very sold on that one just based on how he died, but it could be him! I mean, Echo and Gregor both blew up. I’d need a good explanation of how he survived, though. I’ve also wondered if it could also be a Crosshair clone, which is based purely on the sniping skills lmao.

Craziest options? I’m kind of hoping for something shocking…like Dogma. Or some other clone whose face would be recognizable right away. One of my brothers suggested Mace Windu, which is completely hilarious, and maybe even crazier than me secretly hoping that they’ve brought Fives back from the dead.

I feel like the reveal will be at the end of the first episode and it’ll be a classic cliffhanger leading into the second episode, which will probably be when all hell breaks loose. Cue the attack on Pabu or some other angsty situation that we’ll be left on the edge about until next week.

Also. I swear to god, if they give Echo a bunch of development in one of these episodes only to kill him off in a couple weeks like they did with Tech, I’m gonna lose it even though I can smell his death from a mile away.

Yeah. I’m scared!

Also, since I watch this show with my brothers, I have to wait to watch it until they’re home from school so…that’s going to be absolute torture. Wish me luck! 😭

You...” Before she could finish she saw a text appear in the left corner of the screen, which read ‘wolf was slain by SkyGuy69”. “YOU FUCKER!” she yelled before making her character run after Anakin, who was laughing uncontrollably. “I SWEAR TO GOD, THIS IS THE LAST TIME WE’RE PLAYING MINECRAFT WITH YOU!” It was now Rex’s turn to let out a sigh as he reached over to lower the volume. He rubbed his eyes and concentrated on chopping trees around his home, while still keeping an eye out for the two. “Please remind me, why do we even play this childish game?” Obi-Wan asked, getting a hum from Cody in response. “I mean, like, it’s just... square blocks.” “With all respect, but it’s not a childish game. You’re just saying that because your house looks like literal shit.” Anakin responded, looking at the cube build from dirt. “It looks exactly like wombat shit. WE’RE ON HARDCORE, HOW DID HE...?!” Before they could finish screaming and panicking, something exploded and  a series of texts appeared, saying : CCody was slain by SkyGuy69 and TheHighGround was slain by SkyGuy69. “Oh fuck.” Ahsoka said, knowing that they were next. “He’s coming!” Snips was shot by SkyGuy69 Rex cursed before making a run for it, only for a fireball to hit his character mid-air, which was followed by the familiar red screen saying ‘you died’. “You killed me!” he screamed angrily, he could her Ahsoka laughing hysterically in the background. “Don’t take this personally, I killed everyone!” Anakin spoke, earning a few curses from the rest. “I’m not talking to you ever again.” Ahsoka said before exiting the call. Obi-Wan and Cody followed soon after, both happy that the game was finally over and that they could go to sleep. Now, only Rex and Anakin remained. “Anakin, you promised.” “I got bored.” “Anakin.” “Okay, I’m sorry...” he said, but it was obvious that he wasn’t. “I have to go, it’s pretty late.” Rex said, muffling a yawn. “Same time tomorrow?” “Sure. I FUCKING KNEW IT. In my heart I could just tell. They gave all this characterization to my guy Tech. To my man. and then THEY FUCKING BUCKY BARNES HIM> ON A GODDAMN MOUNTAIN AND EVERYTHING. THE FUCKING PARALLELS ARE DISGUSTING.

I was mad about the Phee/Tech thing (still am) because of how they set him up to be autistic/neurodivergent then instantly decide in order for him to be ‘normal’ he’s gotta get a girlfriend, which thanks, really loved that decision. Like, happy for all the Phee/Tech people, but as someone who’s autistic and heavy aroace, seeing a character I relate to get smacked right into a romance after being told, hey, youre normal for being you and sticking around your chosen people/family really resonates. Then episodes late, boom, girlfriend shit comes up and heart sinks. Thanks fellony.

AND NOW THIS. I COULD FEEL THIS IN MY GODDAMN BONES. I KNEW SOMETHING WAS ABOUT TO HAPPEN WITH TECH. When Phee happened, I hoped that was the end of it. I could have lived with it. BUT THEY HAD TO FUCKING KILL HIM.

Kay bet - here we go fake empire by nyhlus gush time 😻😻 SPOILERS- LIKE A LOT

so first of all- even though there isn’t like a humongous amount of Duncney or anything- I don’t care because the Duncney there is in the fix is wonderful 🖐🥲 like I swear it’s so sweet and the way they’re in a life death situation just makes it better

also the many deaths were soooo tragic like okay some that stood out for me (which are pretty much all of them 💀) include DJ, Tyler, Owen, Beth, Ezekiel, Noah, and Cody. All of the deaths were written wonderfully, of course, but god those five had me sobbing like a child.

it’s not even because those are like, my fav characters or anything, but it’s because they’re deaths were written in such an emotional, and touching way. And the way Gwen reacted to Cody dying was just 😔 like don’t talk to me I need a moment to bawl rn also the way Izzy was devastated when Noah dies because of the Owen death and how he was like “you’re beautiful, you know that?” oh my gosh I like died inside too. Tyler was so scared, and even if Beth isn’t the greatest character, her death felt like a redemption. she does in peace 😢😢 and Ezekiel’s death- Omg he sacrificed himself to save Geoff- and the way he stood up for him which also led to Duncan rethinking himself and a tota Duncney moment but anyhow zekes death 😭

(also the way heather had a redemption by death moment- 😖)

yeah that’s like pretty much it but that fic is so underrated and the author is wonderful 💕

This whole fic had my emotions everywhere!

It definitely is one of my all time favorites. You can actually see the the story, if that makes sense. I reread it every now and then and it just always gets to me 😭
