im gonna rant abt how much i hate the ghost eyes fandom (as a former fan) bc im just kinda mad rn

so uhh yeah major TW for s3lf h4rm, romanticizing mental illness, su1c1de, sadomasochism, infantilization, and rlly just anything related to that

also DO NOT harass the creator or anyone mentioned here, you’re no better than them if you do that

ok so i read ghost eyes like 2 years ago but i stopped reading about the point where they were on that field trip. i still think it’s a nice comic and i’m sure the author is a cool person, also the art style is awesome. but the fandom is so fucking gross that i’m surprised more people haven’t talked about it.

for some backstory on this, i used have REALLY bad depression and was cutting myself regularly (i’m much better now, i have medication, therapy, and i’m almost a year clean) i also stopped reading due to the comic severely damaging my mental health and i’m very glad i did. i was younger and immature and thought i could handle such content. this led to me becoming extremely obsessed with the comic to an unhealthy level, and getting severely attached to one of the characters (rudy) because i could relate to him at that time. i seriously thought that i WAS him sometimes.

i understand now that i should NOT have ignored the label and what i did was definitely wrong and if the creator is reading this i deeply apologize. i’m in a much better place now and i’m just glad that i was able to get the help i needed.

ok now to the angry part

if you don’t know what ghost eyes is, it’s a webcomic about a severely traumatized boy attending school for the first time and meeting a bunch of other severely traumatized kids. this comic has a crap ton of triggering/sensitive/disturbing topics (which is not a bad thing as long as you do it right) and like i said before, the creator has kindly put a warning before the comic starts stating that you SHOULD NOT romanticize/idolize/sexualize/kin any of the characters, do not read unless you can handle such topics, and so forth. now i know i should have definitely put the comic down before and not gotten obsessed over it, but i knew damn well enough that it was messed up to romanticize/sexualize any of the characters/things that happened in the book.

there are several scenes in which a character is self harming or harming someone else, and the comments will say shit like “nooo my poor bean” “awww baby don’t do that” or my personal favorite “protect the smol bean.” first of all, the characters are like 16-17, second of all, i cannot even tell you how fucked up it is that people see someone ruining their lives and putting themselves in danger and think it’s “cute” or “anxiety smol bean uwu” THERES LITERALLY A SCENE WHERE SOMEONE IS GETTING STABBED AND PPL ARE DRAWING THIS MF IN A MAID DRESS.

another reason i despise these fans is that they see an abusive relationship and start making ships/kinning them. as someone who has gone through pretty much everything rudy has gone through, i cant tell you how irritating it is to see people shipping him with his abuser or calling him a “cutie patootie masochist boi uwu” cause lemme tell you what-it doesnt feel good to have to put your health in danger and ruin your relationships with others just so you can get off somehow. ITS NOT FUN. the whole point of rudy’s character is to not romanticize someones fucked up mental health.

i could spend hours talking about this group of immature brats, but i’m tired and it’s a school night and i have a test tomorrow. i might add on if i feel like i need to but overall i really hope those immature fans grow up and realize their mistakes like i did, or get the help they need.

to people with access to high-level education

if you went to/are in college, if you went to/are in university, if you went to/are in any form of high-level educational institution, including taking college/uni courses:

you have an incredible privilege. you are likely unaware of the ways your high-level education has impacted the ways you think about yourself, others, concepts, and opinions. you are likely unaware of how you come off to people less ‘educated’ than you. you likely think that education and ‘educational’ institutions can never be separated. you likely abuse this privilege on a daily basis, and aren’t aware of it; and you likely don’t care to listen when called out. every person i have ever met - except one person who has been doing and is doing a shit ton of work so as to not abuse their privilege - who has had any form of high-level education abuses the privilege the have in having access to high-level education. every person i have ever met who’s had any form of access to high-level education is obnoxious about their opinions, uses inaccessible language, makes their opinions inaccessible and incomprehensible to anyone and everyone without the same level of knowledge about that subject, does not listen when anyone without that same level of knowledge on that subject presents even a slightly opposing opinion, perspective, or experience, AND cannot hear it when anyone - but especially less ‘educated’ people - try to call them out on their behaviour and how privileged, stagnant, reductive, ableist, and colonial their behaviour has been.

i have called out many people who’ve had access to high-level education on how their behaviour while ‘engaging’ with me as a ‘less-educated’ person (i dropped out of high school when i was 16, i have a grade 9 education and i will likely never return to any form of formal education) was/is demeaning, ableist, reductive, condescending and/or just Awful - i am usually met with insults, yelling, being called a retard (i am Autistic so that one has particularly stung), being told im wrong and i have no place to even discuss x unless ive gotten a bachelors in that subject (which i am literally unable to do for a variety of reasons) - usually the subject is film which ive been studying for quite a while and, in the majority of these discussions, am more knowledgeable than the other person is about actual film crap (idk everything tho and am always quick to say that) - and being ‘one-upped’ with inaccessible language and irrefutable arguments that are only irrefutable because i dont have access to the studies, textbooks, lectures, language, history, discussions, etc that they do.

if you have/have had access to any form of high-level education:

you are privileged. it is your job, especially if you were recently in uni/college of any sort or are currently in uni/college of any sort, to use the access that you have for good. find ways to make your knowledge accessible to cognitively impaired people, people who are HoH or d/Deaf, poor people, PoCs who have faced violence through education systems, neurodivergent people (autistics, adhders, people with tourette’s, i could go on) who understand the world in ways that theyre made to feel bad or ‘less’ about or that there’s usually no space for them to learn in formal education systems, people who had to drop out of school, people who dont speak english or are learning it as a second language, pretty much EVERYONE who has any interest in whatever youve studied/are studying - your job as someone in uni or college is to do what you can to make your access accessible to the people who the state has deemed unworthy of it for whatever reason. it is your job to bring into your mind and your life and the way you engage with knowledge the Fact that knowledge ≠ bachelors degrees, phds, mds, textbooks, lectures, academia, etc; that there are many different forms of knowledge and each and every one of them is valid, beautiful, important, and worthy of attention. it is your job to listen to people like me, people who do not/will not have that access when we tell you you’re being condescending, or patronizing, or whatever, due to your access and then work to be better. because you can. you can be better. you can do better. you have power. you dont just have privilege, in your access, but you have Power. in pretty much every situation, if both you and i are in a group discussion, the other people in that discussion are pretty much guaranteed to listen to you vs me about anything and everything - given that they know you were/are in higher education and i didnt graduate secondary school - they’re gonna listen to more of what you say and brush me off. it’s likely they wont even be doing this consciously, that its just how theyve become wired to engage with that situation, but they will be doing it. it is your job to make space for the opinions, ideas, experiences, and knowledge of people who dont have access to your ‘education’, because its very likely that nobody else is. but when you, someone who’s had access to a bachelors degree program, or took a few college courses in clinical psychology, or whatever, when you say ‘wait, listen to them, they have knowledge too and its not more important than mine’ people are gonna fucking listen.

be better. im tired of being brushed off. my knowledge is just as important, valid, and useful as someone with four phds and an md, or whatever the fuck.

be better.

Tumblr, and social media in general, has a fantastic way of making people feel like crap about themselves. Form your own idea on things through insight and facts rather than basing your idea about yourself on the mindsets of other people.

Yes I've found this out (I also have a way of finding negative myself... I wasn't all happiness and light before tumrblr either, here I have an outlet. BUT people do sometimes attack me when I put things im feeling bad about so. I SHOULD learn my lesson. I shouldn't say anything on here i feel strongly about bc there is the possibility people will attack me)

I really do want to never base any thoughts on what other people think. It's hard for me, idk why. Because I hate them influencing me. I hate being dependent on them. I hate being dependent on anyone and want to rely on only myself. But for some reason i can't break free of wanting people to like me. Or of seeing their words as truth especially when it's negative, confirming the bad things i already think about myself

I should really not write any more on here... idk. I can't say my feelings anywhere else but maybe I shouldn't. I should just bottle things up like I used to

I really need to become better like now. Lol. Idk how that can happen when I don't have a good foundation of anything...

I'm also extremely susceptible to things when I'm tired. I got like 4 hours sleep last night and so I cant think straight. My judgment is impaired and so I won't make good decisions. I'll make them based on emotions even more bc I can't control what I feel very well when I'm so tired. So I shouldn't write on here or look at all then (being extra tired is probably why I probably don't make much sense now either) but that's exactly why I do it. Sigh.

if anything good came out of 2020, it’s my discovery of manhwas.

well, it’s not like i’ve never read a single manhwa in the past 15+ years but tbh, the ratio of manhwa:manga i consume on a weekly basis has jumped exponentially this year. previously it was like 1:99 and now it’s like 90:10 LMAO.

so, just to remind myself that the world is still full of good things, i had to make this list. which i will probably edit in the future, if i can be bothered to. :)

anyhow, this list was not made in any particular order, just whichever came into mind. it’s loooong so be prepared! (I’ve read way more titles than mentioned but just included the ones worth checking out)

Bahahah omg he looks evil there! But our dearest archduke is hardly that aww. Soz, I just ripped off the covers of the manhwa cos I can’t find a panel I liked more than another. I mean, this manhwa is a GEM. I can’t even begin to describe this because everything about it blew me away. This is not something you read when you are craving for fluff, or just wanna have something brainless after a hard day at work or if you just wanna have some eye candy lol. This is something you pick up on a weekend, when you have time, because you need those hours to digest, appreciate, clutch your chest, tear a little because you find yourself falling in love with these characters. It doesn’t have any of that cliche isekai, romance, revenge themes going on. It has a solid plot, backed by incredible characters, beautifully woven by the authors and artist with incredible pacing that keeps you on your toes and keeps you looking forward to the next chapter. Maybe I would have been happier if I found it after it was completed lol. HAVE I CONVINCED YOU ENOUGH TO MAKE YOU WANNA READ IT?! like, idk, just go. JUST GO READ IT GDI.

p.s. it says there romance but naaaaaaah, dont go in with that expectation. :) this story is so much more than that.

This...this!!! THIS MANHWA NEEDS MORE LOVE. If you need a lot of fluff, a little, ok maybe quite a bit of sadness and tragedy, sweet sweet romance, cutie pies, please, look no further!!! Again, pacing, character development are so important to me and this manhwa aces it. I love the 2 MCs very much. And the side characters too. :)

When I first read this, i fucking cried. like please don’t ask me why. it’s not like its an absolute tragedy but I was just rooting for the MC so much and I really want for everything to go her way. That’s how much I adore this MC!!! I LOVE HER. I LOVE HER MORE THAN YOU DO NORA! HAHAHHA. okay soz. I need to keep this spoiler-free.

Anyhoo, there is nothing typical about this time travel plot. Sure, she goes back to try to undo the stuff that went wrong but phew, she certainly changed things so much everything that comes her way have made it so her previous experiences can hardly help aaaaaaand that’s what makes it fun! I sometimes wish the pacing could be a little more consistent, and there could be more characters I could love a little more wholeheartedly (so i wont have to be in so much despair when i read this sometimes lol) but omg the art, isn’t it pretty?! I’ve re-read this soooooo many times but the art blows me away all the time. And have I already mentioned how much I love her?! I LOVE YOU SHULI! AND I WANT YOU TO BE HAPPY!

am i allowed to reveal how shallow i am rn? like the previous choices were all like ‘wow-deep-plot’, ‘wow-character-development’ and this one i just included cos of AESTHETICS ALONE?! the novel covers are breathtaking!!! the manhwa art is amazing as well. and the harem is great! LOL. as for plot... uhm... it’s alright. it’s pretty engaging and i quite like the MC, she’s smart and independent and i love how she views them all antagonistically at all times HAHAHHA. her past is kinda... weird though and i do wish they’d stop referencing it. cos... girl why do you wanna go back to reality!!! stay here! it’s way more exciting!

i love the whole isekai/reincarnate/transmigration theme and this is honestly one of the better, not-so-cliche or cheesy ones HA.

(YOU WANNA KNOW WHAT HAPPENED? NOTHING.)

i hope the plot can move faster in the next season! and that our dearest MC athanasia can you know, finally be a little more useful... like omg just tell lucas already!!! and tbh girl, no matter which guy you choose, i approve. :D

no matter what, i still think dowun is best for her okay. it’s dowun or nothing. he’s devoted to her, we all know that! he just needs to ditch that annoying female guard!!! ok yknw what, maybe nothing is better. :/ *cries*

It was extremely... risky to be inside of Beomgyu’s room without any of the other boys knowing. In the dark room were only you, Beomgyu, and Yeonjun, however it was late and he was probably asleep.

Luckily you were hidden, away from sight but that still didn’t take away any of the dangers that his group members would find out. If they did, that would certainly take away the thrill of a new blossomed relationship. It had only been a month, but your love was as strong as ever, and you couldn’t complain.

To be honest, you never imagined you would be at the dorms at almost 1am in the morning, yet here we are!

He had begged you on the phone to come and cuddle with him until the early morning because he missed you a lot! It had only been a week since he saw you, but he swore he missed you more than anyone he had ever pined for. Saying that he needed to kiss you and wanted your hugs was enough to get you going there, but then he pulled out the puppy dog eyes which you had a love/hate relationship with. Let’s just say that you could only say yes to those puppy dog eyes on the facetime call just fifteen minutes before.

Instantly, you walked over to the dorms since it was a short walk. Your boyfriend said he was going to pick you up, but you knew that it would be even worse because the boys would know once the door slammed open. Although they had already been asleep a long time ago, Yeonjun being the last one to close his eyes.

Of course he didn’t care about the repercussions which would in worse case scenario be, everyone finding out and the managers forcing the two of you to break up, but you had to look at the bright side! At least you were safe in Beomgyu’s tender arms, giggling about the things that happened this week.

“So... did you miss me as much as I did?” He peppered soft kisses against your cheeks while you held him even closer to you, scared that his comforting touch would disappear into thin air if you made the wrong mov

“You think I didn’t? I would’ve declined your request since it’s too late know, but I guess that I needed you as much as you needed me.”

A sudden voice came out from the other side of the room and you gasped, pulling the blankets over you in fear that you were caught by someone who didn’t know.

“Guys, will you be quiet with your lovey dovey stuff? I’m tired, and I don’t need to hear all of that.”

Beomgyu and you just stared at each other before you both simultaneously got up from the bed.

“Don’t look at me as if you’ve just seen a ghost!”

Yeonjun shook off the pillow on his chest, looking proud that he had scared the two of you. It was that cocky grin that you wanted to wipe off since forever, perhaps even the day you met him. Only thing that was holding you back was that he was your best friend, and you owed him a lot for some favors that couldn’t be named.

“I know about your relationship, we established that fact already. You haven’t let any of the other ones know, right?” The two of you nodded your head, looking at each other with hearts in your eyes. You didn’t want anybody to know until later, maybe when everything cools down for a while.

Yeonjun chuckled, pulling his blanket over his head. “Alright, then. Just be quie-”

The sound of the door creaked open, and you darted under Beomgyu’s back. Who could be up at this hour? You hoped that it wasn’t an emergency or else you would be found out for sure.

“Hey Beomgyu hyung? Could you open this for me? I don’t think Soobin is awake, and I don’t want to bother him.” You hoped that he was feeling sleepy enough to not realize that you were right beside (under) he was sitting.

From the corner of your eyes, you could see that Kai was holding those jars of flintstone gummies that you usually eat when you’re younger. You held back the laughter rumbling from your chest at how adorable he was before bunching your body into the covers. It was getting really warm though and a few seconds later, you took a deep breath of fresh air- looking out into the other wall where his roommate lay.

It was dark but you could see that Yeonjun kept sending you weird glances from across the bed which you knew meant that he was teasing you about your secret relationship. You rolled your eyes, peeking out to see him from the sweaty blanket. When Beomgyu turned on the other side to help him open the jar, you gave Yeonjun the dirtiest glare you could muster as a sign to leave the two of you alone.

He just shrugged, and you felt the urge to let out a scream if not for Beomgyu’s gentle hand searching to find yours. Good thing that he figured out that you were fuming under those damn covers because wow, you would’ve made known your presence. Still, that didn’t stop you from getting mad at yourself.

And you really thought that telling your best friend was the best idea?! You wanted to hit the past you in that moment.

You thought he wouldn’t do anything else until he started to make kissing noises in front of the younger ones. He was being obnoxious, and you wanted to hit him for being annoying when you were trying not to get caught.

Making a punch sign, you saw him fall back dramatically and sighed softly. The bed made a creaking noise, causing Kai to turn over to the loud noise while Beomgyu struggled with the jar. That made it even worse!

Kai glanced over at Yeonjun, the shift in the bed let you know.

“Oh, hyung? Are you okay?”

He laughed in response, the darkness of the room making it hard to see that he was swatting his hand in amusement.

“Yeah! I-I’m totally good!” It was getting harder for him to speak since the little fits of laughter came out. Beomgyu squeezed on your hand tighter, trying his best to calm you down.

“Look! I got it! I opened it for you, pipsqueak.”

You watched Kai’s eyes turned into one of amazement, and he thanked Beomgyu before hopping from his spot on the bed.

“Thank you so much! I better head to sleep now.”

Just like that, the footsteps got dimmer and you sat up a little, hoping that he would be gone for good. Yeonjun decided to have a bit more fun teasing the two of you, so he shouted at Kai. “Beomgyu and Y/N-” “Shut up, Yeonjun!”

Finally the door shut close, and you couldn’t hold it back anymore, the frustration in your body knowing no bounds as you yelled at him.

Crap! You winced at your loud voice. That definitely woke all three of them up now...

Your eyes were wide open as you sprung up from your bed, phone pressed tight against your ear as a hand covered your mouth in surprise. What the fuck had your boyfriend sent you while you were sleeping!?

"I can't wait to be home-ah, fuck, and ins-side of you." He continued his ministries, his soft moans stirring the pot in the pit of your stomach as the visual of him, alone in his hotel bed, shirt riding up his toned chest with flushed cheeks, and plump lips lingered in your mind. idk who needed to hear this today but

if you use fanart for anything, you give credit for it.

usually i would just implore you guys to at your own discretion but.

i think sometimes people forget that if you use fanart without explicitly asking for the author’s permission, that's stealing. but obviously no one has ill intent behind it with this hobby, which is why crediting is important. it’s the least you can do.

it doesnt matter how much you use the fanart. even if it only appears on your blog once. even if it’s just a throwaway icon for a gag. even if you replace the icon with new icons from somewhere else. if it was on your blog at some point, and you don’t intend on deleting it, and it’s still on there, you give credit for it.

there’s maybe some leeway if you commissioned the art and/or the artist already cosigned you to using it without giving permission. but that’s the only special instance i can think of.

in that same vein, please just look on artist’s profiles to see if they allow reposting in the first place. if their account says no reproduction/no reposting/DONT USE MY ART.... don’t use it. if the bio is in japanese, chinese, korean, whatever- google translate it. i know google translate can suck but it’ll easily convey what you need to be looking for.

if you’re one to think that you don’t want to use source media like screenshots or mangacaps because fanart is prettier, don’t ignore the fact that the people providing you the luxury to do so are just that- people, who spent hours to draw what could amount to just one or two icons. who could’ve drawn what you were using as a commission for someone else. who more than likely posted the image without any idea what you’re using it for-- more importantly;

without any idea what you’re using the image to represent, what messages you’re trying to convey- with their image. the fact that the subject is a copyrighted character/isn’t theirs doesn’t change the fact that the drawing in and of itself is still their creation.

it would behoove you to start keeping tabs of the sources you intend to pull from. if you see a piece from pixiv you think you’ll consider pulling from- pluck it, save it, so later when you open photoshop you’re not sitting with the pulled image thats titled computer jibberish with no artist’s signature.

YOU KNOW WHAT? i’ll go you one even better than that.

When you save an image from pixiv - this one for example, by default it’ll save it as 78827921_p0_master1200.jpg. 78827921 is the image ID. https://www.pixiv.net/en/artworks/78827921 will take you back to that image. Plug in any other ID, and it’ll go back to its source. There you go. Easy if you accidentally forgot to keep tabs.

nobody is entitled to the usage of another person’s art, and if you use the excuse that [just by virtue of OP posting it on the internet, it’s free gain], that’s bullshit.

if you post anything- even a text post or roleplay thread- going by that same logic, anyone should be allowed to reblog it, remix it, go to town on it; it’s on the open internet, after all... right? No. you’re entitled to security in the things you post. you don’t really need to say “don’t/ask to reblog” in the tags for people to get the hint to not or ask first if they feel inclined to. if you believe you’re entitled to that comfort and respect, i don’t see why that mindset can’t be translated to fit the situation of artists. even if you don’t give a shit how your stuff gets circulated, at least try to look at it in the way that not everyone is you.

and not everyone is me, so some may be wondering still why they can’t just go ahead and do what they want so long as they’re not hurting people/keeping it lowkey. i mean, at the end of the day, there’s nothing i can do about it either. you can totally do whatever you want, im not denying that. but just know that you’re not 100% in the clear from getting discovered by somebody. you’re not impervious to being found. and reposting/art being used or transformed without credit or consent is a very real reason that artists get upset or even sometimes lock their profiles, delete, or stop drawing/posting, or stop making their art publically available. this is NOT just a western philosophy. asian artists do this just as well- hell, you could even say that some are even more stringent about etiquette when it comes to treating their works with respect. that includes reposting policies.

if you’re too tired/busy/lazy/forgetful/cursed to credit, that’s 100% not an excuse lol. or if you’re thinking, crap, i have all these nicely done assets that i’ve created but it’ll be too difficult to go back and retroactively find the sources!

please be conscious and considerate of the people who work hard and do a good deal of the heavy lifting for you to be able to make your blog pretty and aesthetic in the first place. i think the bounty of beautiful and high-quality art for the pokemon fandom- or for any popular fandom for that matter- sometimes makes us forget that it isn’t a commodity. it’s something that when taken for granted, can genuinely affect others who work hard to provide content for people to enjoy. at the end of the day, they do this to make themselves and others happy. seeing others take that work without any acknowledgement to them is demoralizing, don’t think that they’ll get enough recognition from others to compensate for you. that’s frankly not how posting art on social media works at all.

*i get that things happen and this isn’t meant to shame you if you happen to be one to do any of the things other than credit. but know that you don’t... really have an excuse when there’s so many different options, shortcuts and alternatives available to you. you don’t really cite from a shitton of different sources for your paper and then go back to pick through every individual quote to find where it came from to avoid plagiarizing. you just.. make a note or works cited. it takes like, 15 extra minutes. if you’re going to spend hours on photoshop or writing fancy infoposts, you can spend an extra 15 making a works cited.

This is filled w/ spoilers

So here it is, time for me to pull myself together and post all my thoughts and feelings on the new episode into one big long post.

So my overall feelings?

I am upset

Not because it was a bad episode- it was amazing, literally so good- nope, it’s because of Nathalie- but I’ll get into that in a moment. I’m gonna put a read-more here cause this is gonna probably be really long- and could very well be a recap of the whole ep with my commentary.

First off, when Plagg seemed not to like Adrien’s birthday present for Marinette, he seemed so concerned (these screenshots aren’t going to be very good quality because I REALLY don’t feel like going through all the trouble of making them look nice & take hours on one post)

Look at the little bean! SO concerned. It’s perfect Honeybun, she’ll love it.

Then onto the next scene...

Even during meals, they sit so far away from each other. Why? I’ve often wondered what the point of such a long table with so many chairs could be, especially in a house that’s so big yet so empty. I suppose that it could do well for meetings, but still, this is a family meal, not a company get-together or business meeting with people you have to impress. They have to practically yell at each other to be heard.

Also, look at this

He basically asked Nathalie for approval. “Should I let him?” “Yes sir, I would.” “Very well, Adrien.”

Also, the fact that Gabriel and Lila have the same meeting place each time. He isn’t just driving by hoping to catch her, they have a time and place set up. And the idea that Marinette is a bad influence? Preposterous! But of course, this is Lila.

Okay so first off, you’re going off of an anonymous tip that one of your best and most well-behaved students (Aside from being late quite often) is a thief and a cheat? Now we get to the part that started lil miss me to get so upset.

She was so ready to just fall down and choke while he continued his fight and she would have still loved him if he hadn’t stopped to help her

But this seen makes it so clear

Even if it’s just as a friend and assistant, he loves her. And it just...the voice acting, her voice actor was so good, it physically hurts me to watch that scene. 15/10.

And Tikki yelling at Marinette...well not really yelling...but holy crap, there is a lot riding on this 14 year old girls shoulders when it comes to her own emotions. She’s still learning what some of them are, puberty is far from over with her, so now she just has the added pressure of not being able to feel the natural emotions that occur with hormone fluctuations and righteous anger from being falsely accused without having to be fearful of Hawkmoth’s akuma.

But on the bright side, Alya FINALLY believes Marinette! She may have her flaws and push Mari a bit to much IMO when it comes to Adrien but hey, when it comes right down to it, she’ll stick it out with her pals. A true friend.

And despite her state, still the only thing she’s thinking about is him, his goals, what he wants- and he’s not even thinking about that right now.

He looks so distraught too. He needs her. But she’s just so laser focused on one thing that she’s not thinking about the other possibilities. Mark my words, her persistence is what’s going to drive him to stop being Hawkmoth.

“I don’t care, Gabriel. I want to help you.” I swear, I’m gonna start crying again. She’s telling him how she feels when she says stuff like that! It’s loud and clear. If he hasn’t seen it by now, when it’s more obvious than Marinette could ever hope to be- then literally nothing but her straight up saying the words “I’m in love with you” is gonna make it click. He has to know!

“Not at that cost! Never at that cost again...” then it cuts to his family portrait.

Why, pray tell, does it cut to his family portrait? Of all things. Why did it cut to anything at all? They didn’t need to go to the trouble of creating a whole new picture to cut to if they didn’t NEED to. It’s saying something. And Im pretty sure that its that he’s not willing to give up Nathalie, not even for Emilie.

I would also like to point out that in that picture, he is wearing blue- but now, he primarily wears red. What is a combination of blue and red? Purple. The color of Nathalie’s suit.

Hmm...

Nathalie: Shh

Me: *handing Nooroo pots and pans*

She’s so desperate to help him- and look at how she treats Duusu. She isn’t being cruel. Duusu just told her “No, you should be resting” and she’s just like “Yeah, but what if I didn’t?” not “Don’t tell me what to do!” or any crap like that. Instead she stops and explains herself. And then Duusu...

No, not it’s not romantic. It’s twisted. I love Gabriel and Nathalie as a pair, but this isn’t a romantic gesture. Nathalie is losing herself in her desperation to help him, get the miraculous, end it once and for all, and her desires to please Gabriel even if it means that he’s not going to want her in the end. She is fighting a losing battle, no matter what happens, she’s going to get the short end of the stick- and it just breaks my heart that she is so willing to throw her life away when there are other ways she could be assisting him that don’t include her deteriortating. That’s why I cried so much during this ep- she wants to prove a point by using this miraculous when it isn’t necessary. And that is why I officially HATE seeing Mayura- because each time she transforms she’s one step closer to falling down and not getting back up.

Also, I thought this scene was super interesting. That’s how she creates a sentimonster? That is so cool.

Moving on, when Adrien pulls out his phone

“I am Mayura, and I’m about to annihilate Ladybug, Mwahahaha!” Points for subtlety, Hon. XD

I swear, if you have a redemption arc it had better be Paarthurnax/Zuko-level convincing because there are very few people willing to forgive you after you say things like that with no remorse.

As soon as the adults leave, he growls and the music gets more aggressive. Intimidating.

He is ticked. “Because we’re friends aren’t we?” that was just laced with venom and malice. They say demons run when a good man goes to war.

Well Adrien’s started packing. Lila better watch her step.

And in the end, she basically outed herself as a pathological liar. She admitted it, though she likely didn’t word it that way.

idk anymore

When the pain from the past healed, I remembered how I loved you. How beautiful it was to share something so real and so out of this world with someone who felt the very same and more even. The love that we once had, it was divine. The kind of love that you’ve read in books, watched in movies and felt in love songs. It was one of a kind. God given. I’ve never felt love like that. I think that’s the kind of once in a lifetime kind of love. And it never really goes away, innit?

Im leaving soon and the hardest part of it, is leaving her behind too. I wish I could take her with me in that brand new chapters Im about to enter. I wish holy crap its not even 8am and im crying my eyes out lol I still love her yknow? I’ve seen the good and the bad, the best and the worst, but still after everything we’ve been thru, I still chose to forgive, to heal and to love again. All because it’s real. I havent looked at photo of her in 4 months but you see, she’s always in my head. Her face, her hair oh god her hair my precious locks.... her smile, teeth the curve of her lips when she smiles the throwing daggers of her eyes her moles her eyebrows my ‘kipring’ I remember it all. I didnt need a photo to be reminded of her. She’s the face that I see first thing in the morning and still last at night. I keep asking myself, maybe i just miss her and the memories yknow. If so, then why do I wonder if she’s eaten, what could she be doing at this very moment. On my happy days, I think of her. On my saddest, I do too. I dont really have what ifs. Because it is what it is. And to be honest, I’ve found comfort in that. She’s there and Im here. I’ve done my part and I wont enforce it yknow? She just needed to take a step towards me and I would come like a bullet train. Im just tired of the rejection. She’s been doing that for quite awhile now. It doesnt even hurt my ego or anything anymore. I’ve really been stripped down yknow? My intentions are bigger than my ego now. So Ig i do know. I know, It’s all I could do. Write about her because Idk how not to. Im afraid the love that I have for her might explode inside of me and she’ll never know...... I really love her yknow? After everything that went down, at this point i shouldnt have to. and its not even the love that i once knew; selfish. The love that I have for her now its better, its love. It’s real.

My thoughts on Netflix’s ‘Élite’

(Aka a sleepy review/ramble I wrote instead of sleeping, october 2019)

(SPOILERS AHEAD)

I’d been searching for Spanish things to watch for a while, and then one time I stumbled upon Elite… I read “Spanish”, “LGBTQ” and “Teen Drama”… Let’s just say I like two of those things.

•Alright, the first thing that came to my mind is the times when one of the girls would slap one of the guys after he said something mean/stupid/hurtful. I think it happened three times with different characters every time? I just really disliked how it was never even talked about… It’s not okay to just slap someone when you feel like it. Of course, what the guys said (don’t remember exactly what) wasn’t okay either, but at least that was more acknowledged? Through the girls reacting? When a guy got slapped I think in all of the scenes, it just cut right after. Idk. Don’t slap people.

•One of the best scenes imo was in season 1 when Carla, Christian and Polo just kinda said fekk you to their mothers and all the stupid rules and ran away and they all kissed fbtntbrjjr it was just so beautiful, I even showed it to my mom.

•Another great one is when Nadia stood up to her father, also in season 1 I think, and said that if she’s going to stay at the school then she’s going to do it without his conditions (not being allowed to talk to Guzmán). I thought, great, character development and all that, my favorite thing!! The big problem is just that after that she didn’t develope and just kept on as if that conversation didn’t happen. She avoids Guzmán, saying she also “made sacrifices” etc. ): Maybe I just forgot half of it and this is all wrong, maybe. I hope so.

•Similarly, this happens to Guzmán. Boy he got some learning to do when it comes to handling emotions… as soon as something’s bad he turns all of it into anger. I like this type of character, he is problematic as heck. He reminds me of our beloved (and hated) Nathan Prescott from Life is Strange. Rich, arrogant, thinks he owns the place, got a shitty father, and is angry AF.

Now I hoped that Guzmán would get a chance to better himself… Kinda like Steve in Stranger Things? …And I think Guzmán did get a little better, maybe… Gosh im getting way to tired for this. Anyways, he backlashes all the time and it bothers me but i think he and Nadia really could learn a little from each other. U know, theycould exchange some of that arrogance&”doing whatever i feel like”-attitude VS thinking before acting and understanding what everything means… it would even it out for both and make them better people.

•please stop too many sex scenes they all look the same and gives people a problematic view of what sex is

•Ander cmon man u know the rules. Clean conscience > lying, “protecting” the hard truth! Why is everyone lying everywhere? And about the worst stuff too? Did no one ever teach them anything about doing the better things rather than the bad ones? ):

•also, Anders bf (also Nadias brother) i don’t remember his name now, he is great i feel HE eventually stood up to the dad and now he is living his truth, drag queen and ugly hawaii shirt thingy. Gotta love that guy.

•hmmm yeah yEAH riiiight and i think i got a lowkey crush on Lu… even though shes so annoying with all the crap she does, sometimes u see that facade breaking down n she is hurting. HEY HEY again, this is a GREAT opportunity for character development! Lu could become so awesome with some good guidence like… shit, i feel like she chould turn around completely and become the kindest, most sincere person ever?

•i liked when samus brother showed up like “DUDE i loved your daughter i kept this piece of paper now you know im not the killer, alright thats all, im off, probably in italy eating peaches n stuff”

•season 2 finale was set up good i think, though i don’t really care for the crime stuff.

•probably forgot some things but yeah thanks for teaching me some Spanish and good soundtrack
