Hellooo, this is a Tokyo Rev ask and I was really interested in the Mikey post u made abt him as a bf realistically since canonically he’s one of the top worst. So i was wondering, what do you think of Keisuke Baji taking number 1 place as best lover? 👀

Hello! Baji is an angel despite his wild personality. I see him as a watchdog, like in that panel in the last timeline when Takemichi meets Mikey and acts like a puppy. He's not interested in a relationship right now, but that doesn't mean he's immune to falling in love or anything.

After doing this, he probably be that guy who stands silently next to his crush in class while blushing, but his scary face makes your subconscious ignore that he's turning red as a tomato. He will probably try 10 times harder to be a good student to impress his crush.

He gets upset with himself when you find out he's in a gang, he thinks it will push you away (it would push me away, but it depends on the person).

He is faithful, either you betray him or one of you stops loving the other, because only then will the love relationship with him end. I feel like he wouldn't want you to get hurt in any way, so he's always tried to hide that he's in a gang to avoid getting in trouble.

Someone like Baji, who despite being aggressive is at the same time affectionate in his own way, and who is willing to do things that many people wouldn't do like suicide is proof that he is not only a good boyfriend, but also a good friend ...actually he's good at everything.

You probably met him thanks to stray animals, or you always fed them or you always went to their pet store. He would probably arrive talking to you about cats and the conversation would flow. Every day you went there to feed the cats and he does that too, not because of you, but because of the cats. But over time it becomes attached to you and ends up appearing there for both you and the cats.

He's the type to behave like an older brother. He doesn't get jealous, he just gets suspicious when someone approaches you. As already stated in the character's book, Baji prefers to resort to violence and before a conversation, this wouldn't change much when you were dating; If he feels like hitting someone who takes up a lot of his time, just prepare your emergency kit to take care of the person he hits later.

I see him declaring himself on an important day like Valentine's Day, Christmas or New Year's, his declaration would have been 100% his and 50% Chifuyu and Ryusei's advice. Baji, like Chifuyu, reads manga, I don't remember if it was here which category he reads, but I'm sure he was inspired by it...

Obviously everything would go wrong. Some delinquent behind him trying to fight, or him simply having brain problems because he forgot what he was going to say. In the end he was only able to declare himself even in serious moments, like moments of near death where he said something like:

"don't give up on me yet, damn it! I haven't even had time to tell you how I feel!"

That alone would be enough for days later for you to talk and resolve the matter and he would simply have to say everything. But that would take years...Baji is a man of steps when it comes to love.

First step would be trust, second would be time, third would be moments together, fourth would be denial of feelings towards you, fifth would be denial and disgust at himself for having these feelings for you, sixth would finally be acceptance of his feelings for you, seventh would be his mental adaptation to all of this, eighth would be gathering courage, and ninth would finally be his declaration. But make no mistake, each stage takes time, in the end only the fourth stage would take a few years.

Baji isn't the physical type either, in fact most Asians aren't very into physical affection. But a hug from him wouldn't bother him, just raise a question in his head.

Him trying hard not to see his mother cry, killing himself for Kazutora is proof that this man would do whatever he could to keep you happy.

He would probably, like Draken, neglect you. the only way to have a perfect relationship with him is to be like him, wild and involved with Toman. Not only would it bring you closer together, but it wouldn't leave you as attention-hungry as our poor Emma.🥺

And these are my thoughts on Baji, if there is anyone with other opinions please let me know, I like talking about it. each person has a different point of view. I was never very close to him, so I only remember a few things...

how do people hate love?

love is such a happy warm and gentle feeling. it is quite probably the happiest emotion i can understand to possibly exist, and i do not understand how people can just detest it. 

and i don’t mean in a romance-repulsed aromantic sort of way, or even in the jokey “y’all are so sweet and lovey it’s disgusting” way. but a genuine, deep-seated hatred of love? 

how do people hear even a mere suggestion at the possibility, a damn joke about dating somebody in a hypothetical future, and say point blank, i don’t care i just don’t want to hear about it. 

just.. how can people hate love so much they insist on putting others down for talking about a feeling that makes them happy?

+ he would definitely go to the women in the gang (and you of course, but he'll be more shy about it) to ask them questions. "is this what you ladies like?" before he gives his daughter a gift.

+ he'll document basically her entire life in his journal; write entries about her biggest moments and their times together, and he'll draw her all the time. there will be pages that are just covered in drawings of you and your daughter.

+ the other gang members would tease arthur for being "so soft" around his daughter and he probably gets real flustered about it, but you think it's adorable how gentle he is with her.

+ she will make flower crowns or put flowers in arthur's hair and a lot of the time he'll forget about it, so he'll walk around camp or even go out riding with a braid and flowers in his hair.

+ of course, your daughter would have some kind of knowledge as to what the gang does, but arthur will still try to hide violence from her. he'll make up silly excuses as to how he gets cuts or bruises, and he tends to hide his guns when around her. hell, he won't even really smoke when in her presence.

+ arthur is very accepting, and that especially applies to your daughter. if she wants to travel the world, he'd support it. if she said she wanted to be a dinosaur, he'd try his best to help her achieve that. the only thing he would say no to is being a gunslinger.

+ arthur's daughter would be a girl constantly surrounded by love. i can imagine her being artistic and creative like her dad, with the ability to get along well with anyone she meets. she would also be very expressive and bold, feeling that she can be whatever she wants.

charles smith

+ crafts dolls and other toys for her!!

+ he'll take your daughter out on nature rides or walks and will teach her all about animals and their importance. especially when she's a baby; he just finds it comforting to have a little friend he can talk to, even if she doesn't respond.

+ charles would be SO protective of his daughter. he would definitely teach her important rules of survival and how to handle weapons because he believes she can take care of herself, but he also can't help but step in immediately when the smallest altercations happen.

+ he also knows how cruel the world can be, and he doesn't want his daughter experiencing any of that. he likes to keep everything pg around her; if micah or someone is being inappropriate around her, charles will get upset quickly.

+ you can learn a lot from children, and charles is well aware of that. he's such an attentive listener when your daughter speaks to him, and will act like everything she says is revolutionary. he'll bring up a fact you've never heard of in a conversation with you, and when you ask him where he learned that from, he'll nudge his head towards your daughter.

+ i think charles' daughter would be a mini version of him, minus his use of violence lol. she would be quiet and only open up to those shes comfortable with, and would be very passionate about those she loves and the things she cares about.

john marston

+ you will always be able to tell when john dressed her because what in the hell is she wearing?

+ the goofiest dad but he's trying his best he swears!!

+ he's not the most vocally affectionate dad out there, but he'll randomly show up with gifts because he'll remember his daughter mentioning that she liked a specific item.

+ he'll also show affection by teaching her things. he doesn't really know what young girls would find interesting, so he just kind of assumes she would enjoy horseback riding or something of the sort. will definitely feel awkward if she expresses that she's bored.

+ john is trying, but he doubts himself and will always come to you for reassurance. he feels a lot better after speaking with you about things. "i'm just...bad at this stuff. you think she even likes me?" "john, she loves you more than anything, and i do too."

+ he's so bad at playing pretend, but he tries his hardest and you think it's so funny. if arthur catches him playing dolls with your daughter, he'll definitely tease him about it later. "dad, use your girl voice!"

+ a daughter raised by john marston would probably be rather shy, but also very kind, patient, and understanding. she might also take on some of her dad's sarcasm.

dutch van der linde

+ he would spoil his baby girl ROTTEN. he just can't seem to ever say no to her and will end up going into town himself to get a new stuffed animal for the kid the moment she asks for one.

+ dutch would definitely boast about how smart his daughter is. he would teach her to read and write as soon as possible and would feel so proud when she tells him about the things she read or wrote about. "she gets it from me, of course."

+ he would quite literally kill for his daughter. he's definitely the scary dad, but like in a way that she will casually bring up "oh yeah my dad has killed people" on first dates.

+ dutch's daughter would definitely be one to have a rebellious phase. i think he would tend to insist that she stays at camp because it's safest, but he would raise a girl that's curious about what the country is like outside of her tent. there would be many instances where dutch will send someone out—or himself to go find her after she steals a horse and runs off somewhere.

+ i feel like he would want to name his daughter something like...antique, or based off of some character from literature. things like ophelia, elizabeth, athena, victoria...

+ i actually think that dutch would raise a rather fiesty daughter. educated and bold, i think a daughter raised by the leader of the van der linde gang would grow to be a leader herself.

hosea matthews

+ i think hosea was born to be a girl dad.

+ he would so have a nickname for her that would stick with her for the rest of her life. something cute like dew drop or honey bee; and sometimes even the other gang members would call her by that nickname.

+ with the way hosea sits and listens to the women in the camp, he would do the same with your daughter. although he can be a stern parent when needed, he'll always listen to her before doing anything else.

+ he'd love to teasingly embarrass her in front of the others. "remember when you were wearing diapers until you were four years old?" "dad!"

+ HE KNOWS HOW TO DRESS A BABY!! and he would be so proud of himself. he'd probably be more excited over baby clothes than you.

+ oh he would treat her like a princess. i imagine him reading her fairytales as a child and will play along with her when she pretends to be a princess. if he could, he would build her a castle.

+ i believe that hosea would raise a humorous, kind hearted girl, who can also be rather mischievous. i can imagine his daughter being very outgoing and friendly, but very serious when needed.

ok ok ok ok ok ok hear me out.... fem civillian reader stuck in a love PENTAGON with kiryu, daigo, majima, akiyama and saejima (am I crazy? Not at all) and hear me out! They all seem to get along as a group as they keep finding excuses to stay with her, they also do bicker alot with eachothers or try to steal her away for some time (none of them admit their crush to her tho), only ganging up when someone's bothering her. For some reason, Kiryu always manages to steal the show from his friends. (Oh my God I'm so sorry this is getting out of hand)

PLEASE this is so funny to me, I have been sitting on this ask for MONTHS now thinking about it. I am so sorry it took me so long but I finally have the goods, so here ya go!

First of all, the boys generally always do get along. This group dynamic is always fun to hangout with. Of course, YOU know who they are and their professions, etc. It was kind of scary at first; chances are, it was Akiyama that introduced you to the gang, as he's the only civillian there anyways.

Even though Akiyama was the one who started all this, you're pretty much equally close to all of them, the exception maybe being Daigo as he's the quietest and works the most. Chances are you just don't see him as regularly as the others.

You see Majima and Saejima the most and usually at the same time since the two tend to travel as a pair. They also bicker and tease each other (and you) the most. They're really into picking you up and carrying you around (Saejima IS better at this, by the way).

Kiryu and Daigo are more a mixed bag; sometimes you see them alone and sometimes they show up as a group since they work together. Both are always very kind and gentle around you but Daigo is the most noticeably shy at first. However, ironically he's the one that opens up the most around you as time goes on.

Akiyama is the first to notice that the other boys seem to like you as more than friends. He NEVER mentions this to you directly but he does love to stir the pot and ask you what you think of the other guys. He sometimes teases the guys as well, but only when you're not around. Mostly because he's fully aware he's had a crush on you for a while now and he can't blow his cover... but he also totally wants to sniff out how you're feeling or how they're feeling.

Kiryu is the hardest one to detect, man's stoic as hell. Honestly, he'll be the last one to realize he has a crush on you. Most of the time he's like "What? This is just how I am..." only to fully realize much much later that he is in fact only this way with you specifically and therefore you're really special to him.

Majima's the most likely to get physical with you but not in a sexual or uncomfortable way. He's a hugger for sure, which only makes Saejima and Daigo jealous in particular. Leans his head on your shoulder a lot too. Generally speaking, he's good at getting into close proximity with you.

Majima and Saejima compete the most. Very much "anything you can do, I can do better" deal which is hilarious for you and Akiyama to watch especially. There's been a couple times where the two of them bit off more than they can chew in a drinking challenge or something like that.

Akiyama teases them about it often, which only makes the three of them bicker more. Bickering just makes Daigo kind of shake his head or he'll try to make them make peace with each other which only makes them bicker with him, and so it goes on and on to your amusement.

Leave it to Kiryu to, whether he knows it or not, use these moments to get closer to you. He'll kind of just sigh and say something like "Ah, they're at it again, aren't they..." and joke about it with you. It isn't until the other four are done having their little tussle that they realize you'd spent the whole time just talking to Kiryu instead.

No one gets upset about it, although Majima might make some comment about Kiryu hogging your attention. It's always a little strange seeing some of the top brass of the Tojo Clan making a fuss over you; after all, you don't think you're all THAT special. Problem is, you are, very much so, to all five of them!

What are some of your favorite Fred and Daphne moments? Romantic or platonic

AAAH thank you for giving me the opportunity to ramble about them!! always so so appreciated. and for specifying romantic or platonic too!! while a lot of their significant moments together from the 90s onwards have been somewhat romantically charged, i love them even when they're just a goofy pair of friends with no immediate romantic implications.

because (mini fraphne history side tangent), they weren't always intended as love interests! the "fred chooses to search for clues with daphne because he fancies her" reading of the original show technically isn't true — they were just paired off because the writers found them boring and wanted an excuse to get them out of the picture for a few scenes. which makes the fact that they've since grown to become an iconic duo in their own right all the more inspiring!

so without further ado, here are some of my favourite moments of theirs!! 💙💜

the best birthday present ever — zombie island

if i could count their general existence in this movie as a single moment i would. i am so weak to the fact that even after the gang splits ways, fred and daphne stick together, and fred plays such a crucial supporting role in daphne's dreams/career/life. and their relationship hasn't descended into being just boring coworkers — daphne has been so busy with work that she forgot her own birthday, but fred is sure to make it special by doing no less than getting the whole gang back together. the way he teases her before revealing them, too!!! and the hug she gives him when he explains. i get such cosy, "known each other since forever" vibes from them in this movie, like they're just so comfortable and silly with each other and (sobs into my hands)

my hero — scooby doo and krypto too

the way this movie has already given us so many fraphne moments for the books. the Literal Kiss aside, this scene just made me smile from ear to ear. i'm not always so hot on the jealousy subplots these two often get, but i appreciated how this film had a more light-hearted take on it, and how fred was simply confused rather than upset. additionally, his attempts to impress daph are just so funny and sweet, you get the sense that he's just hamming it up to make her laugh and doesn't care if that's all he ends up doing. of course then he gets so into it that he doesn't register the monster right behind him, and jumps into daphne's arms just like the rest of the gang always do with him. the way he clings to her!! and how she says "oh come on". they are disasters and they need each other in this essay i will.

you're never going to lose me, fred — mystery incorporated

following their relationship in this show sure is a journey... and not always the best one. while i understand that they're teenagers going through a lot, it's sad to so often see their inherent chemistry as a duo lost in miscommunication and arguments. which makes the moments where they connect and come out stronger as a couple all the more rewarding!! this is hands down my favourite scene of theirs — while the conflict that leads up to it is uncomfortable (fred tightly scheduling their activities together), i like how daphne addresses it quickly rather than keeping her feelings hidden and simply expecting fred to pick up on them. by now she understands that fred needs direct communication (autism!!!), and that's ok!! meanwhile, fred has grown too; he actively opens up to daphne about his fears of losing his loved ones, something i don't think he could or would have done at the start of the show. he's come to understand his own emotions and the importance of expressing them. both of them learn from each other, and are able to move forward because of that. it's a wonderful little moment that really showcases the best of them!!

i love you — stage fright

THE fraphne scene. god. where do i begin. the fact that daphne wrote lyrics about her feelings for fred to the music he composed, and was terrified of ever showing them to him. but then she decides to break the condition she established to velma (only confessing to him after the contest), throws caution to the wind, and just,,,,, confesses her love to him live on stage in front of thousands of people!!!! and how fred looks so happy and content playing along to these lyrics that i'm sure he knows are about him, and when it comes to daphne singing "i love you", he says i love you back with ZERO HESITATION!!! like he was waiting to say it too!! because they're mutually pining dumbasses who will cry if they make eye contact in a remotely romantic context!!! god!!!!!!! also the nose boop before daph goes in for the kiss. adorable.

the engine / the driver — curse of the 13th ghost

this scene is another that has a lot to say about their relationship in a general sense, and it's so special to me!! i'm not crazy about this movie as a whole, but i love the running theme of fred and daphne's differing leadership qualities, and how they balance each other out. fred just wants to keep things the same as they've always been (autism!!!), but that often leads him to coming off as controlling or dismissive when he's in Planning Mode. he doesn't mean it, because he genuinely believes the best in the gang and their individual skills, so it's no wonder that he grows insecure when his place is questioned. but by the end of the film he accepts that daphne is the engine, the glue that fundamentally holds the gang together and keeps them running as a unit — they would be nowhere without her constant energy and willingness to take action. however, daphne reassures him that he'll always have his place as the driver, the man with the plan, the one to put things in motion and support everyone with all his heart along the way. and the tender way they look at each other to cap it all off!!!!!!!

knight in shining armour — sword and the scoob

i saved the (probably) best for last. less serious analysis here and more just me gushing because i spin this moment around my microwave brain on a daily basis. continuing the theme of "fred embraces his role as team cheerleader", he's not even upset when daphne has to fight in his place — he planned this and is wholeheartedly supporting her, to the point where it makes her flustered (she’s HIS knight in shining armour)!! and him giving her his ascot as a good luck charm!!!! nem found dead on the floor. not to mention "sir daphne/sir fred" and how they continue to call each other that. i swoon every time. they are so romantic in their own very silly and very teenager-y way and i love moments where they're just so unapologetic about that!!

How do you cope with “don’t trust your brain”? I can’t trust it at any time of day, due to the dysthymia.

For me, realizing that it is time-related for me really helped. I learned to identify those feelings in specific because of when they routinely occurred, and am now able to lower their internal priority.

With dysthymia that isn't going to be helpful, though.

But still, some of this probably will be at least a bit useful because the helpful part for me was less the time - that was just the factor that made it easiest to catch. It was mostly that identifying them was the first step. Like that part isn't always easy, the thoughts are REALLY COMPELLING, we assign them high priority because of their strength, so it's hard to say "Wait. These intense feelings I am having are not accurate They are a distortion of the facts. They are based on valid fears. However, the way they are currently all ganging up on me, or feel unusually intense, is not in proportion."

And that's sort of where I am now. Here's some stuff I do.

I respond by gently reminding myself that I have a condition that predisposes me, I tell myself it's okay to have the feelings, and then I say "I am going to do what is best for me in this moment while these thoughts upset me." And that can me hard as hell and I can't always do it. But I am trying and learning.

When I get the three o'clocksies as I call them (my schedule is often twisted around enough that they happen at 3, my equivalent of 8 or 9) I take a short bit to remind myself it's a distorted perception (or sometimes utterly false, like when I get the "everyone hates me"s), I challenge it gently, then try not to give it a chance to respond. I try not to argue with it because that doesn't help. And I just find something else to do or think about.

Maybe I move to something I know I like even if I don't want to, and give it a bit to see if I can switch gears. Maybe I say "well I'm ruined for a while, might as well do something hateful like get some water or gather some trash, or brush my teeth, because if I have to suffer I can at least suffer to make my future self a bit happier." That didn't come easy either. Occupying my hands AND my mind is important. I often can't turn the bad feelings volume down if I don't occupy my mind. Movies don't work, but podcasts/audiobooks and hand crafts or engaging phone games do. I have like sixteen I can choose from. (Your library may have audiobooks to borrow digitally btw. It's very cool.)

I ask for help, I ask for asks here a lot, I have some friends to talk with about fun things, my boyfriend is great. Doing imaginative stuff like discussing silly questions (the gryphon question I just got was like a perfect example, thanks!), what-ifs for our OCs or fanfic, or silly stuff like we watch a ghost hunting show and stop it to ask what we/our imaginary people would do, or a spooky movie or podcast or reality show and we raise a hand at the point where we would nope out. We're watching a cake show and we pause it to say what we would do or what winner we would pick. Having another person is so helpful, but you CAN do this with yourself. Write the answers out longhand or journal them on your phone (Journey app!). I will now often do this WHILE I AM CRYING, guys. It helps. Even if I think it won't. I did it during a goddamn tornado warning where for once it WAS very fucking close. Boyfriend was safe across town, I am unbelievably scared of storms and was in about the scariest one I've been in since a kid, and I was snot-crying on the phone and once we said our I love yous we just talked about stupid OC shit. And by god it got me through.

Reading aloud to my cats has helped before.

Like. Whatever it is that's crawling up your spine. It's so much about saying "look, I feel this way, and it is INTENSE, but I don't have to just sit with it; I can do other stuff WHILE I feel this way, I can engage with things ALSO, I can have other thoughts too." You don't have to end the thoughts by force. You can just let them run and move on as much as possible, think about other things as best you can. And with practice it DOES get easier. It does.

Another thing I have recently discovered is that I need TIME to have emotional reactions. Someone I love said something unintentionally SUPER HURTFUL a while ago, and y'all I was SO ANGRY. SO FURIOUS. And I realized before I could address the situation and tell them they crossed a line, I needed to make room to have this huge emotional response before acting, and they DIDN'T need to be part of that. Even though the intense feelings demanded I act, I didn't. With practice, amazingly, I have learned to give MYSELF the space we all talk about giving others to feel first, solve after. It took practice but I'm there. Once I cooled off, I realized not just why I reacted the way I did (specific past trauma) but why they said what they did (their own past trauma, inappropriately dumping it on me) and was able to talk it over with them in an empathetic way and it all smoothed out, with better boundaries now.

The having the emotional reaction thing may not work in some cases such as repetitive thoughts of, say, trauma, but when there is a precipitating event that just happened or I get blindsided by a trigger, it is really helpful to realize it's a reaction, probably a really understandable one, and I won't feel like this forever.

Also psych meds and specifically mood stabilizers are really great for me. I'm on two, and at first I had some internalized ableist shame around taking them because I didn't like how it implied I was like my toxic mom with her uncontrolled rapid cycling (not why she was toxic, but it made me feel like I was failing at being Not Like Her), but WOW having them has helped. The right meds. It can be hard to get that in place, but I did want to say, it really did help me.

I have also with my therapist built a safe place in my mind. This doesn't have to be boring! I have a floating island with cloud oceans, lovely ruins, amazing wildlife, and a badass wizard lair. And in it is a box for the horrible thoughts I can't deal with right now like the PTSD stuff, so it's contained when I'm not working with it, and a koi pond where I drop these glowing rocks I imagine the scary feelings going into, and then the water cleans them and turns them into pretty stones. Like, this was just stupidly useful and I never thought to do it in a way that wasn't boring before. So I can go there, now, with practice, for a quick visit to drop some bad stuff off. I also visit as I fall asleep and explore, to help make it easier to go there quickly. Doesn't work for everyone, has been good for me. Come to Magic Floating Islands! We have perytons and flying coelacanths!

Anyway, I don't know if that's helpful. Other folks might have ideas. But that is kind of where I'm at. It isn't perfect, doesn't always work, but I'm getting better because it's partially just a skill. You know? You're already a bit ahead of where you were initially, since you know it's a distorted pattern. There was a time before you realized that and it probably sucked even more, and there will be a time after this when you have one or two things to try that will suck a little less. It won't be a hundred percent, but you do move forward a bit at a time.

Been a hot minute since I posted art here, so here, have some Matt/Anna content! Or, as I'm starting to take to calling their ship, MirrorGlasses! ^^

Def need to talk about them more, because second to only Eduarel, they're my second favorite ship. I'm really sad we haven't seen her in later Eddsworld media, but Anna seemed like a neat lil' side character in her and Matt's comic arc, and they seemed like an adorable couple! (Even if it did turn out they were faking for Edd and Tom.)

So, yeah, def in my Eddsworld universe, they started out the same way, Matt hiring Anna to play the role of his girlfriend to prove to the others that he could be in a relationship and pretty sick of the "dating a mirror" jokes. Anna was happy to play the part, because she liked having an extra bit of cash, but also thought the idea of playing a smoopy-woopy girlfriend sounded fun, and a lot easier than her real relationships had been up until then. (I imagine she probably didn't end up in the happiest relationships prior to Matt, which wasn't... great for her self-esteem, which was already pretty poor thanks to her parents.)

However, the more time they spent together, the more it felt natural to them. It stopped being an act after a while, they found the things they did in front of Tom and Edd, like holding hands, giving cute nicknames and compliments, warmly embracing, talking about their lives and hopes and dreams, just generally enjoying being around one another, it... it wasn't something they had to pretend to enjoy. They did those things when no one was watching.

Matt didn't realize at first what was happening, just assuming Anna was a great actress and he was just... y'know, pretty in-deep with the whole thing. Anna, however, got hit with the realization that, "oh no, i've fallen for this cute, silly man aaaaaa"

Maybe later on, after narrowly avoiding a close call with the boys catching them NOT acting all cute, Matt sighs in relief their cover wasn't blown, and commends Anna for her own acting skills, his friends genuinely seem so convinced they're actually in love!

And at that moment, Anna just seems... hurt. She's not upset at Matt since they're not really in a relationship, it's just... she'd honestly forgotten they weren't. She was convinced, or at least convinced herself that after a string of bad relationships, she'd found someone who loves her for her, and that his acting wasn't acting anymore, like her.

But she understands, it's okay. He had no real romantic obligations to her, she knows it's selfish to be upset when they've both made it clear that it's all an act. They're not in a real relationship... Matt could do better than her anyways. He's such a kind, sweet, silly and handsome man, and she's just... well, she doesn't feel she'd actually measure up, anyways.

However, she does ask him after that if they can end the facade, she doesn't really want to keep it up anymore. Matt is taken aback, wondering if it was something he said, and Anna assures him it's not, it's just that even though this has been fun... some of the most fun and wonderful times of her life, really, she doesn't really wanna keep pretending they're in a relationship- keep him in a pretend relationship- if they're not. He deserves to find a real partner, who gives him all the love and joy he deserves. She just doesn't... want to be in the way of that for him.

Matt is just completely shocked and worried, already seeing her low self-esteem show its face and tries to at least figure out if he said something or did something to hurt her, and convince her she's not "in his way," but... doesn't want to keep her in a fake relationship if she's not happy or comfortable. The two agree to end things, and mutually part ways... with both fighting back tears.

Later, similarly to what happened in the actual arc, Matt tells the gang they broke up, but doesn't really take to their attempts to get his mind off of it, just trying to make sense of it to himself. Tom's no good with this mushy stuff, so Edd sits down with a cola for them both to try and talk to him. Matt doesn't reveal it was them fake dating, but does express a lot of his sadness, genuinely asking Edd why it hurts so much, knowing it's over. And Edd, just trying to be a good and supportive friend, is just like, "Well, y'know, it's because you loved her, right?"

That's when it finally hits Matt at a million miles an hour. He... He does love Anna. He really, truly loves her. And she loved him, and... and...

Oh, no, he's made a terrible mistake.

Quickly rushing out the door faster than Edd can ask where he's going, he practically makes a break for Anna's apartment building, determined to try and make things right, to tell her it was all real to him. Once he finally makes it, it hurts to see her open the door, as he's greeted by a pair of sad, puffy eyes that had clearly been crying for hours, and a hoarse, but genuine, "... Hey."

She lets him in, and the two genuinely do have a heart-to-heart where Matt apologizes for rubbing in the fact that they were fake dating, never meaning to hurt her genuine, real feelings. Anna explains he doesn't need to apologize, she knows full and well he'd never hurt her and it wasn't even really that. She admits that yes, she does have feelings for him, but she knows their relationship wasn't and never was real, and she doesn't want Matt to pretend to like her for others, or for her. He's a wonderful person who'll find an equally wonderful person for him, and she doesn't want to hold him back from that, when she's not close to good enough for him-

Matt stops her right there, refusing to let her talk badly about herself. She has absolutely no idea how amazing she truly is, how beautiful, funny, nerdy, patient and loving she is, and how every moment he's spent with her has been some of the best of his life. He knows he messed it up, but he won't stand by while the woman he loves talks badly about her...

It only just then hits Matt what he said out loud, and Anna, with wide, hopeful, teary eyes asked him to repeat that, and he, a tad sheepish and blushing, gently reaffirms that yeah... he loves her.

Cue her grabbing him by his overcoat collar and bringing him in for their first kiss on the lips, which Matt just absolutely melts into reciprocating.

Edd and Tom are equally confused by the next day, seeing the pair apparently back to dating, only this time, they're more genuine, and not as insistent on acting all lovey dovey around them...

Just kidding, they end up acting even mushier as a genuine couple, genuinely and blissfully in love. All's well that ends well! (Except for Tom, who needs to keep nausea pills on hand anytime Anna's around, or Matt even brings her up, bleh.)

BONUS HEADCANONS THAT I'VE WRITTEN FOR FUNSIES:

I've mentioned this on Twitter, but in case I forgot to mention it here, I headcanon that Anna is the youngest sibling in Mark's family. (They have an oldest sister, Loretta, who's Balloon Head Fred's wife, then Blonzie, then Mark, then finally her.) Mark isn't... pleased with the situation that his beloved little sister is dating his dumbass rival from next door, nor confident in the fact that Matt genuinely loves her for her, and not just playing some cruel joke on him through her. Plus, with all the dangerous shit they get into on a regular basis, Mark doesn't like the idea of Matt putting her in harm's way, especially after how toxic and unloving her previous relationships were, the last thing Mark wants to see is his little sister getting hurt. The two already had a tense relationship before, but after Matt and Anna start dating for real, him and Mark really don't get along. Anna appreciates her older brother's concern for her but doesn't take kindly to him insulting her sweet and loving boyfriend, and assures him she can take care of herself. Similarly, she'll shut down Matt if he says something bad or insulting about her brother, reminding him that Mark is just looking out for her and that's her brother and she loves him. I definitely think as their relationship goes on, Matt and Mark slowly get along better and better, realizing that if they agree on nothing else, they both love Anna, and want her to be happy. Ultimately, Mark decides that if Matt loves Anna, if he makes her happy and feeling like she's loved and worthy of being loved, then that's really all he needs. Guess he stans now lol.

Love the idea that even before they officially start dating, Matt and Anna end up being really close confidantes, and are able to confide things to one another they can't with most people, even the ones they're closest to. I think Matt is a gentle voice of encouragement and support when it comes to Anna's depression and low self-esteem, consistently reminding her of the things he loves about her, and Anna, in turn, is just as gentle with Matt's metal health and self-image, reassuring him he doesn't need to constantly put on a brave or happy face for her, he can be and feel whatever he wants around her. They're just a mutual space of love and understanding for one another.

They absolutely indulge in each other's hobbies and interests, no matter how bad they are at it. Someone once mentioned a headcanon about Anna at least having an interest in rebuilding computers, which I LOVE and am rolling with, she's def a computer technician and could genuinely ramble for hours about it, which Matt loves to hear and engage with. She teaches him the ins and puts of computer systems and parts, he teaches her about hair care (I dun like the EW Fan Movie, but Matt being a hairdresser is a fun idea!) and ABSOLUTELY involves her in his cooking. He doesn't mind that her cooking is the equivalent of rat poison, he lives doing it with her and always encourages and praises her attempts.

SPEAKING OF COOKING, I like to think Matt, the first time he visited her apartment, noticed a lot of takeout bags and cups and boxes in the trash, and not a lot of dishes in general. Anna jokes it's just because she can't cook for shit anyways, but it's also because she's just generally too depressed to make the effort most days, something Matt recognizes without her needing to say it. He decides right there on the spot that no, this won't do, and cooks her dinner right then and there so she has something a bit more substantial. She insists that he didn't have to go to that trouble, but... she might sniffle a bit and genuinely thanks him, for doing that for her, it means a lot that he's looking out for her. (Also she realizes he's a fucking AWESOME chef girl you gotchu a catch aaaa)

I think that Anna is kinda the type of person who copes with her depression with humor, and tends to make a lot of dark jokes at her own expense. She always found it easier to do with friends, her siblings would always get really concerned and she didn't wanna worry them, and after all her experience with her parents, bad friendships and probably previous relationships, she figured no one else cared enough to point it out. Matt, however, is VERY quick to get worried the more she talks down about herself, and it's not long before he brings it up directly and gently, but genuinely asks her to stop, taking her by the hands and looking far more serious than normal. He thinks she's perfect in every way, and her insulting herself or insinuating the world is better off without her isn't funny at all, he can't bear to imagine a world without her, and he doesn't want her to do the same. she's definitely taken by surprise, unused to anyone aside from her siblings trying to cut that out, and unused to being told the world is a better place with her in it. she probably laughs a little, before softly crying for a bit in Matt's arms, since she feels safe doing that with him.

Matt definitely helps encourage her in the best and most gentle ways to help handle her depression. He's not overbearing about it at all, but genuinely wants to help if he can. He'll take her to outside areas for dates so she can get some sunshine and fresh air, probably invites her to go jogging or practicing yoga with him, teach her different, easy recipes to make herself dinner and definitely takes on making it himself if she needs, and always reminds her how beautiful, wonderful and loved she is. (Maybe anytime he stays over at her apartment, he'll do cute little things like fold her laundry and make her lunch, all the while hiding little notes for her like Easter Eggs with things about her he loves and wants to remind her of. Peak boyfriend material there aaaa)

Anna, meanwhile, I genuinely do believe is encouraged by Matt's love and help, and tries to do better and be more self-reliant thanks to his support. Her self-esteem challenges are definitely a fight, but she knows she's not doing it alone, which makes everyday a little easier. Likewise, I think she's constantly doing the same for him, giving him organization tactics to help with his hording problem, reminding him, as well, every chance she gets what she loves about him, supporting him in all his hyperfixations, and will throw some verbal hands at anyone who dares try and even imply he's not smart. ("Idiot, huh? Awful big words for someone who blew up half of London because he hated Christmas, isn't it, Thomas?")

I like to imagine their ideas for genuine dates are pretty different, like Matt, even when he's not pretending to be "couply-wouply" with Anna, loves big, romantic dates like fancy dinner, dancing, walks on the beach under the moon, basically he's a hopeless romantic kinda guy. Anna, meanwhile, will gladly go along with it, especially when they were trying to sell the idea of them being a couple, but actually appreciates smaller scale dates, like picnics, going on walks through the neighborhood, and just ordering pizza and watching a bad movie together. I think Anna gets better as their relationship progresses communicating this to Matt, who ofc doesn't want her to do anything she's not comfortable with, and they def end up more balanced with their date ideas, and come to genuinely enjoy eachother's date types as much as their own. (Matt had always planned to propose to Anna with some big, romantic date and gesture, but ultimately, he ended up asking her while they were just cuddled on the couch together. qwq)

Characters: Hero and Kel

A/N: Okay. First off, I am so sorry this took so long! Second, I had a lot of trouble completing this request and since I haven't written anything Omori-related in a hot minute, I probably wrote these two out of character but I hope you don't mind. I'm not really accepting request right now but I decided to write this because I wanted to bring you comfort in your difficult times! I hope you enjoy this! :D

Warnings: Abuse is heavily implied! Reader has a vase thrown at them ( Hero ) and gets punched in the face ( Kel ) so please, if this upsets you, don't read this!

"Well that was..interesting." Kel mumbled before letting out an awkward laugh. A mistake he realizes a bit too late as you look up at him, your face relatively stoic aside from the unshed tears that are bubbling.

"Oh, uh- ..My bad." He mumbles in a hast, forcing himself to look away from the dark spot that's slowly forming around your eye. You had been feeling down lately and Kel wanted to surprise you by visiting you. It was unfortunate that your mom had the day off today..

At first, it wasn't bad. After he introduced himself, your mom gently urged you to come downstairs. When you came down, your heart dropped to your ass when you saw your best friend at the door—Your best friend who apparently found out where you lived without your knowing.

Completely oblivious, Kel watched the whole ordeal go down. How you seemed oddly nervous as you quickly explained that he was just a friend you met at the park, how your mom practically glared at you only to look back at him and flash him a smile similar to the ones his mother would give him when she wasn't trying to look bad in front of guests, up until she told him to wait outside for you and shut the door in his face.

He waited outside for what seemed to him like forever but after a while, he heard some yelling and you had finally walked outside, your face bruised and beginning to swell.

And now he's walking with you in complete silence. Just great..

What is he supposed to do now? This silence is killing him..but how is he supposed to get rid of it? By asking questions about what happened? No, it's way too soon for that.. Should he crack a joke? Doubt you'll find anything funny right now..

..Agh, forget this. Just say something already.

"Hey, let's go to the store," Kel blurts out. You pause, your feet coming to a halt as you finally look back at him, your brows beginning to scrunch.

"Don't worry, you can wait for me outside. I just want to grab some stuff so we can bandage up your face," He pauses, "..I'm not the best when it comes to medical stuff so you might need to help me out.."

"Kel," You begin, but he's quick to interrupt you. Smiling brightly as he says, "Hey, do you think Gino's will give us a discount if you come in looking like a mummy? I know Halloween has passed but if we dress you up in a good enough costume I'm sure that pizza guy will give us something!"

You stare at him with a wide-eyed look and for a moment, Kel feared that you saw through his flimsy attempt at cheering you up—or even worse, he accidentally offended you with his joke. Luckily, it seemed like neither happened, you even laughed a little.

"I don't think that'll work Kel," You say, a small grin beginning to make it's way on your face. It causes Kel's smile to widen.

"Oh come on, it's a foolproof plan! If we just wrap your entire body—"

"I am not letting you wrap me head to toe in bandages."

"Well not with that attitude you aren't."

"Kel—"

A wince sounds, sucked in through clenched teeth as a small, burning pain sets fire to your skin. Hero's eyes momentarily break away from your arm, his eyes looking up to shoot you an apologetic glance before they quickly return to the small cuts that litter your arm.

"I'm sorry, but I have to clean them to prevent an infection.." He mumbles. His tone as soft as the clouds outside his window. Despite this, it does little to comfort you.

"I know.. It just stings a bit," You reply lowly in which Hero nods his head, now completely focused once again.

"I can't believe he did this to you," He says after a moment, his brows dipping to form a deep v, "And over something like this.. It makes me so angry.."

"It was my fault," You quickly say, "I shouldn't have left my phone unattended."

"He shouldn't have attacked you because you're living your life."

"My father wants me to focus on my grades so my scholarship doesn't go to waste. Plus he isn't fond of the idea of me getting into any kind of relationship so—"

"That gives him the excuse to put his hands on you? To throw a literal vase at you?" Hero questions, his words leaving his lips like sharpened daggers, none of which were directed at you. Even so, it makes you feel awkward and you end up falling silent as a result.

"Listen, I understand that you probably think this is normal since you've dealt with his behavior for so long but this isn't normal. Constantly having to be patched up because your father can't control his anger isn't normal."

"Of course I know that!" You say, beginning to raise your voice, "I know it's not normal but what can I do, huh? I'm a broke fucking college student! Hell, I can barely afford pizza let alone my own apartment!"

"I don't know if you know this, but not everyone has a nice life filled with loving friends and family like you do, Hero! Not everyone has caring parents who'll be happy for you and'll want to provide for you like your parents have!" Slowly, Hero's eyes begin to widen. Not because of your harsh words or the mean glare that he knows isn't fully directed at him, but because of the crystal-like tears that have begun to roll down your cheeks.

"I'm sorry.." You sniffle, "I.. I'm so sorry.." You begin to curl into yourself, your tears splashing on knees, "I.. I'm just.. I—" You cut yourself off as you choke, Hero's eyes soften.

"It's okay, I know you didn't mean it," Hero murmurs, tone soft as he slowly pulls away from you, sensing how overwhelmed you are, "And I'm sorry for being so inconsiderate. You were already upset and I made it worse.."

Putting his first aid kit aside, Hero slides back to lean against the foot of his bed, pulling his knees up to his chest as he listens to your sobs in silence.

He's not used to this side of you. He's not used to you being so vulnerable around him. You had always put on such a strong front around him, always showed such a caring and sweet façade to him, and as nice as that was at times, he often felt as if some wall was put between you two. One that was iron solid despite being made out of cotton candy and sour gumdrops. He always felt that when it came to certain things, you always hid how you truly felt as to avoid concerning others so in a way seeing you like this, your true feelings bursting out like water flowing out of a broken dam makes him feel as happy as it does sad. ( An odd feeling seeming as his partner is having a breakdown on his bed right now )

Eventually, Hero slides up onto his bed, his fingers slowly inching towards yours, "Would you like me to hold you?' He asks, scanning your hunched over form for any sign of rejection before snaking his arms loosely around you.

"I've been thinking lately. Well, a little longer than lately actually.." Hero mutters, "What if you moved in with me? You'd still have to wait a little while since I'm not allowed to live off campus yet, but you can always visit like you've been doing."

"I'm sorry that I can't rescue you immediately but if you'll be patient, I promise it'll be worth it. I've been looking at a few apartments and found some really good ones. We can look at them together tomorrow if you'd like. Speaking of which, what do you want for breakfast tomorrow? There's not much we can make without a stove but if push comes to shove I can always get something to eat. Of course, you'll have to leave the same way you came to avoid getting caught by security.."

How do you think reboot Dante would feel about how DMC5 ended? Do you think it would make him try and reach out to his brother more? What do you think him meeting OG Dante, Vergil, and Nero would be like? (Side note: I think reboot Dante and Nico would get along. That woman doesn't take shit from anyone, and I think she'd have a FIELD DAY with his angel and demon powers and shapeshifting Rebellion and all the differences therein. Also, I'd love to see what she could do with Kablooey. Just because I fucking love that weapon, I would love to see what she could do with that design.)

Ok, this is going to get long so bare with me a moment asdfghj I promise I am getting to a point. I have a lot of thoughts adfghjk

TLDR: I think reboot Dante would have a lot of feelings about DMC5s ending and I do think at the end of the day it might bring him a little closer to working on that relationship with Vergil! But also there is so much going on with those two and I'm now going to spend a lot of time dissecting them under the cut

Before I answer the big question though, I'll talk about what I think Dante'd think of the preboot gang!

Preboot Dante: I think they'd get along. They're really similar people to me just at different life stages, you know? And I think as a result preboot Dante understands him. I also think they'd like similar music though preboot's way more into it and reboot Dante would love messing with him (Reboot Dante, Nirvana fan: oh that's a band :) i thought it was a t-shirt brand. Preboot Dante, og Nirvana fan from the 90s, two seconds from strangling him)

Preboot Vergil: I think reboot Dante would...I don't know the word for it, like I guess? That preboot Vergil is far more upfront then his Vergil asdfghj. Preboot Vergil doesn't really lie and manipulate he just sort of is straight up about what he's about and that's probably refreshing. I can not see them interacting for long, preboot Vergil I don't think would like him all that much and reboot Dante would not know what to say to him. (That said if he did upset preboot Dante with silly grunge jokes, that might amuse Vergil)

Nero: I think these two could be buds! They're similar in age and everything. I could see them being friends. Especially since Nico and Nero get along, I just think him and reboot Dante could get along

(Side note, I think Nico and reboot Dante would get along swimmingly! I definitely agree she'd find the angel/demon thing very interesting and they could talk about weapons and shit all day, it'd be so fun!!)

Ok, now onto the big question. What would reboot Dante think about the DMC5 ending. In which I meander a lot and ramble about the twins, their dynamics, and eventually answer the question asdfghj (all under the cut)

The reboot twins have a really interesting relationship to me.

The preboot twins have more of this begrudging acceptance of one another. Like this very 'no matter what that is my brother even if I hate him'. And I think, particularly in Dante's case where he had to live with this guilt of thinking he killed his brother only to find out that he didn't and he has this second chance to mend this relationship, that it makes Dante a lot more willing to in turn attempt to mend that relationship.

Which is not to say that I don't think the reboot twins care about each other. They are brothers and they do, before the end of the game at least, seem to want to have some sort of relationship. But it's a different dynamic.

The two Dantes to me are very similar people, nearly the same guy, just at different points of his life. Where as the Vergil's to me are very different people. While they both seek power in one way or another they're just...Very Different.

The reboot twins to me have always had this sort of tension between them that the preboot ones lack. I mean, the center of the DMC story regardless of being preboot or reboot is this family drama of the Spardas so I'm not trying to say they entirely lack that tension. But there's a very different dynamic going on with the reboot twins to me.

The main difference I think is the fact the reboot twins did not have memories of each other for the bulk of their lives and thus developed very separately. Where as preboot Dante in DMC3 knows his brother and has this past with him and there's some trust there, some need to trust there...reboot Dante kinda...doesn't have that. He gets his memory back, yeah, but he doesn't know Vergil. He knows an 7 year old version of his brother that he no longer is and there's tension in knowing that and the push and pull of wanting to know this person, knowing you on some level do know this person but also knowing that you kind of...don't know this guy. You haven't been there for all these years. This is your brother and you love him but he's a stranger.

And I don't know if reboot Dante exactly...likes what he see's with Vergil. I'm going to be borrowing a little from concepts from this post I made about reboot Dante being smarter then we all give him credit for.

There's also the different ideologies of the reboot twins. Not that preboot Dante and Vergil don't have different opinions on things. They obviously do since Vergil justifies leveling cities in attempts to gain power he feels like he's lacked his whole life and Dante thinks that's kinda messed up. But the reboot, especially in the definitive edition with that added cutscene, puts it more as a point of contention between the brothers. Vergil justifies everything he has done in the reboot because he thinks his plan is the most important thing, because he signed up for that and Dante, who didn't sign up for that, does not remotely agree (I touch on this somewhere in the middle of this really long post of Kat and Vergil things). Which, again, not different from the preboot twins. Dante believes his humanity is important and shuns the demon, thus forth believing in the inherent importance of humans and that their continued safety and existence is important. Vergil believes that his human side is weak and that humanity is expendable as a result of this and his quest for power.

However the difference between twin sets here is I don't exactly think preboot Vergil thinks he's doing any greater good? It's just that people need to die for him to get what he wants and he's indifferent to that suffering. Reboot Vergil on the other hand seems to firmly believe it is his destiny to free man kind and that what he is doing is right and justified (assumption coming from how in Vergil's downfall he tries to justify his actions to hallow Kat but also some cut dialogue that extrapolates upon things he says in game). There's also a sense of playfulness to them in the preboot that the reboot kind of lacks but that's less important I guess right now.

Reboot Dante doesn't exactly seem to trust Vergil. He seems to want to try for the sake of the fact they're brothers and they are all they have left but, again, reboot Dante isn't a very trusting person and he seems to decide very quickly that reboot Vergil is not trustworthy. He seems to spend a lot of the game in this push and pull. I argue a lot of his anger at the end of the game is the fact that Vergil broke that tentative trust and Dante saw it coming the moment he met him.

I also imagine in the aftermath of Vergil leaving (and nearly killing him), Dante probably has a lot of opinions on whatever the situation was with Vergil and Kat and her inevitable reaction to the fact Vergil is gone.

That all said, I do think at the end of the day reboot Dante does want his brother back. Vergil is his only blood family and he does seem to care about him. Even if they don't agree on much. I think also part of this is definitely from Kat, who seems to believe Vergil is worth saving and wants him alive (and still with both of them). So I don't think its incorrect to say that Dante does want to try to mend the relationship (that said I do think reboot Dante wants to do that on his terms, not Vergils)

I think if he were to see the end of DMC5 then and see the preboot twins getting along and joking and fighting together so easily that it'd cause a few things. Probably some jealousy that his brother and him did not so easily just...fall back into place like that. But also the hope that they could get along. Like if they can do it, maybe he can.

But I do think it'll take a lot of work, Vergil did burn a lot of bridges at the end there and even if Dante is willing, Vergil needs to put in the bulk of the work to earn a place back in Dante and Kats lives.

1. What Pokemon would you compare this character to?

Part of me wants to say Charizard and it's mostly because I'm thinking of Ash's Charizard and it's attitude. Also the shiny Charizard is Black and Red, like come on.

4. What movie(s) do you think this character wouldn't be able to stand?

Obviously, scary movies. But, to get into specifics...I think slasher movies he would care for but he would be less unwilling to watch them. I think the ones he absolutely hates to watch and at times flay out refuse would be more haunted house, ghost, demon possession ones. Especially, if they do any of that based on a true story. It would get to him too much. Which considering who his best friend is, this is honestly hilarious to me. "Based on a true story! This girl touched a BOX and got possessed by an ancient demon?!?! What the hell!!! That's terrifying! How is this a true story?! Can you imagine just going to some place and touching a box and suddenly you just wake up covered in blood?!?!" Yugi and Bakura both just stare at him like no, Jou. I could never imagine that.

6. What part of themself might they resent?

He resents who he used to be for awhile. He used to hate himself and the things he has done to others. I think that is something that would tend to bother him a bit. I'm also thinking if he has a record and how it may cause difficulties for jobs in the future and how he may come back to being upset at himself for his past mistakes and gang life. Though, I do think things get better for him and I also think he grows to forgive himself.

8. What character foils / parallels do you find most intriguing from canon regarding this character?

I have always found the character foil/parallel with him and Kaiba to be really interesting. They are put into so many similar situations throughout their lives but their reactions are so different. I could write more here but this one could be an essay honestly.

9. What does this character find inspiring?

His loved ones. He finds Yugi's kindness inspring and Shizuka's bravery. He wants to be a better person because of them.

10. If this character wanted to cheer up someone they cared about, what do you think they'd do?

Thinking specifically of him yelling at Atem in the puzzle to cheer up right now.

Honestly I think it depends on the person and the situation. I think at times he'd do silly things and try to make them smile but, we also have moments when he gives his speeches too. During those he doesn't act silly, many times he's looking directly at them, on their level and talks about how great he thinks they are. How he knows, because he's been there, that even when things looks dark that it'll be ok and it'll get better. We also have moments when hes just there for the person, like with Honda and getting rejected by Miho, and he just offers to get them food and just kind of be there for them. Honestly Jou, when he realizes someone is upset, really tries hard to fix it and seems to be fairly good at it.

12. What's a moment in canon regarding them that you feel is underappreciated?

This one is a little harder because it's one of those things where honestly it's probably more based on maybe not seeing it as much but, I feel like Jou winning against Ghost Kozuka should be appreciated more. That was the first time he was truly on his own, in an absolutely terrifying place for him. I feel like even though he beat Ryuzaki on his own and that was a great moment, beating Kozuka was a huge turning point for him and how he viewed himself and dueling.

14. "Can I copy your homework?" "I'll help you with it!" "Yeah sure" "bold of you to assume i did the homework" "lol nope" "wait we had homework????" or *Read 5:55 PM*

Oh he is definitely "Wait we had homework???" With a little bit of "bold of you to assume I did the homework" because like he knows that it would be honestly hilarious for someone to ask him of all people to copy his homework. He has like 3 jobs and adhd , you really think he's out here doing homework? Much less realizing there is homework. Though, just imagine if one day Anzu is digging through her things and realizes she forgot her homework and Jou just slides a paper over and shrugs like "eh, I never turn it in anyway. Another missed assignment is no big deal." And part of her is so thankful and the other part of her is like....there's not a single correct answer on this paper. Somehow turning this in would be worse than just admitting I forgot it.

Stefan Salvator dating Headcanons

I COULD continue and finish my Kai Parker headcanons BUT I had some random thoughts about dating him so I thought I'd share

Lets start off with him meeting you

It would be through Bonnie after she called you to help with some spellwork

Stefan was there because he was carrying all the bags with the ingredients into the forest with Bonnie

He was kind of sceptical at first but was positively surprised when meeting you

He was impressed with your powers but his stoic expression didn't show, maybe a little reassuring smile when you glanced at him

After your ways parted again he was eager to see you again

He liked you

He knew your heart was in the right place and honestly, you looked gorgeous when using your magic

Whenever the MF Gang couldn't find or do a spell he'd slip comments like ''Oh you know.. Bonnie has that one friend.."

And he even got away with it!!

Caroline caught on quickly and had to tell Bonnie

So both Caroline and Bonnie set you and Stefan up for a date

He was nervous but confident at the same time

He wanted to make a good impression

And the date actually went well

And you decided to meet him again.. and to be honest he really wasn't that bad.. yk..

So you became a couple

Because you lived a bit far away from Mystic Falls he offered you to live with him at the Boarding House since the place is half empty anyways

You agreed and moved in

There is a certain unmatched trust in this relationship that you have

Like, you trust each other much more than any other couple

He hates lying to you and he rarely does

Just imagine you cooking or smth and he carefully hugs you from the back and rests his head in the crook of your neck

He can be a bit difficult though when he's in a mood but even then he never attacks you verbally or physical for asking

But immediately drops it when you get genuienly upset

"Stefaaaaaaan help please" you whined playfully when trying to carry your heavy luaggage up the stairs but it got heavier and heavier with each step. "Do you really need help with everything?" He shouted from upstairs. Something in his tone of voice really stinged you today.

Perhaps because today was especially exhausting, from waking up to having to carry this shitty bag up to his room. You let the luaggage rest on the stairs and sat down, a heavy sigh leaving your mouth and you rubbed your face with your hands. The silence of the house started to really buzz in your ears.

Sniff. Sniff. Shit. He knew he fucked up. He could hear you sniffling and your heartbeat picking up.

You could hear quick steps coming closer from behind. "Honey I'm sorry. I didn't mean it like that!"

He ended up carrying you piggyback up the stairs with the luaggage in his hands

He made it up to you fast kissing all the tears away

You have a lot of intimate quiet moments

Just laying together and looking each other in the eyes, enjoying the silence together

He's often longer awake than you, wether it's because he's journaling or reading but as soon as you ask him to accompany you in bed he almost always complies immediately

He sometimes reads you to bed. Like you laying next to him in bed and he reads his book out loud.

He's quite protective but rarely jealous

He knows you love him so you would never cheat on him

But sometimes he'll come up to you when talking to someone and just wrapping his arm around your waist and giving the other person his petty smile, making it crystal clear that your happily in a relationship

He doesn't tolerate any disrespect towards you

If someone disrespects you, they're disrespecting him as well

"Look, Stefan I really need to talk to you about Y/N" Elena said to him quietly and he gave her a concerned look. She pulled him aside to a more quiet place and his eyes drifted to you, wondering if something had happened that he does not know of.

"I know that you really really like them but I've got a bad feeling about her" Elena said and crossed her arms, trying to comfort herself "Are you kidding? 'Really like them' I love them" he said in a serious matter. "No I know that", she tried to defend herself "But I mean, I don't feel as if they're the right person for you-" "Elena." He cut her off before he had to listen to more of her bs. "We haven't been dating for x years. I do not need your approval for who I date"

Safe to say the tensions were high for a few months

He didn't tell you straight away because he didn't want to upset you

Hi, I’m desperately trying to find a writer to write something for Eddie x female reader, where reader is new to Hawkins, possibly Steve’s cousin or something. She moves there during the summer and get pulled into the scoops ahoy groups adventures) (so this takes place before season 4). She is shy when school begins and being a senior Chrissy takes her under her wing. Although reader isn’t really considered popular or apart of that group she accepts the friendship.

Enter mean Eddie. Maybe reader is the theater hand for the drama club and she stays at school late one night. That night happens to be when Hellfire takes place. Aggravated that the new girl is there he gets angry with her. Telling her off as she is just shocked and frightened (her past relationship was abusive so it triggers her fight or flight mode and she surely flies) Dustin, knowing who she is because she spent the summer with her cousin Steve and helped fight monsters, calls eddie out for being such a jerk.

Eddie tries to prove his point associating the reader with Chrissy’s friends having seen her sitting with them at lunch and having one class with her, he thinks she is a teachers pet because she actually does good academically . But Dustin puts him in his place.

So Eddie feels terrible and does his best to try and apologize. Once that finally happens, thus begins a beautiful friendship. To the point that reader stops sitting with the popular people at lunch and instead sits with the boys.

Eddie and reader become very close. She is quite and nerdy, but he is falling head over heels for her.

When Chrissy’s death ultimately happens she is with the gang when they find Eddie. Although sad about Chrissy she is stressed and worried about Eddie. When Dustin is telling Eddie about the history of Hawkins and the upside down he is looking at her like “wtf.” Reader offers to stay with Eddie that night. They break into Reefer Ricks house. She is trying to soothe him and trying to get him to get some sleep, and a shower… but before any of that he asks her while upset why she never said anything to him about the upside down. She explains that the government threatened them all to stay quiet and she didn’t want to get him involved because she loves and cares for him to much. With that confession they get romantically smutty. She is kind of scared because as I mentioned her ex was not nice to her and took advantage of her. But Eddie promises to never hurt her and is so very soft with her.

I’ve thought about this specific scenario when I try to go to sleep. I’m not very good with writing or else I would do something myself. But yeah that’s what I’ve got. If this idea gets your gears turning it could even be multiple parts with a fix it fic where Eddie is saved by the gang and reader and how reader helps him get back to better health.

Obviously if you aren’t feeling it, ain’t no thang! Just wanted to put this idea out there.

What would the Toon Patrol's reaction be to, first of all- Herman disrespecting Poppy. And second of all, to Poppy SWEARING at Herman?? XD

Omg XDDD I love this ask so much

First of all, I'm gonna just automatically assume Poppy is buddies with the weasels in this ask. Because otherwise they wouldn't really care about some stranger getting disrespected by a baby, or blowing up on said baby 😅 (though maybe feel just a tiiiny amount of respect for said stranger standing up to a popular toon? But not enough to be swayed either way)

Ok so... They ain't happy. Not in the slightest 😅 even if she isn't actually in the gang, she is still a part of the gang. Even if they don't get along all the time, if you fuck with any of them, you gotta see the rest of them. That's how they roll. Granted, Herman is too known where they can't exactly do anything to him without consequences... But that doesn't make them any less upset. Might actually peeve them off a bit more XD

I'm just imagining somebody, probably Wheezy, has to hold Psycho back from doing anything- who is probably barking and snarling at Herman like a damn dog. Stupid gets tasked with picking Poppy up and getting her away from the disrespect, and comforting her if Herman did anything particularly mean. And Greasy and Smartass get to intimidate Herman and basically tell him that this transgression won't go without consequences. I'm not sure what they'll do, but I don't want to find out 😅

(I doubt Poppy is Herman's type, especially since she doesn't tolerate his crap. But can you imagine how worse they'd react if Herman actually started creeping on Poppy (Especially if this is one of the ships timeline)??? Holy crap-)

Now. Them reacting to Poppy swearing at Herman? Oh man XDDD

Smartass feels a small sense of pride for her. This usually passive woman finally explodes on somebody! And better yet, it was deserved (I doubt he cares about that, but he knows that at least Poppy cares so XD). Smarty is standing there, a bit shocked, before smiling and acting like a proud big brother like he's been training her this whole time how to yell at people XDDD

Psycho is also proud of Poppy. Even more so then Smartass is XDDD regardless if they are dating or are just friends, I can imagine Psycho really really really wants to see Poppy go feral on somebody. Especially since Poppy never blows up like the people he lives with can. So yes, he will hug Pops and tell her everything is ok... But right now, he's standing by the sidelines and holding up a camera- 'cause he knows the sight of feral Poppy are rare occurances, so he's capturing the moment while he still can XD

Wheezy however, is watching all this go down like a responsible parent friend would; staring at Poppy slack jawed and wide-eyed, wondering if what he just heard was real. He's not gonna get mad at her; for one, she's a grown woman and can curse however much she likes, but Herman also had it coming XD but he is concerned for Poppy. He knows that she is not going to be happy with herself later. Not to mention that this is definitely a sign that she needs some quiet time. So Wheezy would probably step over, offer to take her away from the source of her anger and give her a safe place to cool down... While also glaring at Herman and blaming him for this XDDD

Greasy is also just... Shocked about this. Might do that cartoon thing where he rubs his ears and blinks before looking back at the scene; did Poppy swear?? Did she say fuck!? Did she call somebody a motherfucker!?!? He doesn't even care that this somebody happens to be a famous star. The fact that Poppy swore at a living organism is enough to stop him in his tracks. But once he gets over his shock, I can see him clapping Poppy on the shoulder or something, regardless if she's horrorfied with herself, and acting like she just won the Nobel prize. Greasy is not a good influence XDD

And poor Stupid is the one that's the most scared for Poppy right now XD she's a nice lady! She's like a sister to him! And the mean baby made her cuss like his actual brother does on the daily. That isn't right. This has to be fixed. I can see Stupid hugging Poppy close, even when she insists she's better now and apologizing for her blow up earlier, and he's just trying to comfort her and tell her that she doesn't have to talk to the rude actor again. And if she does, he won't let her talk to him alone ^^

He said that was just one name for it, but the stars were in a cruciform pattern and it was only visible from the southern hemisphere. He said when he was little he’d been taught it was the anchor of a ship.(2) He still preferred that, he said. Liked the idea that the Milky Way was pinned down and couldn’t go anywhere. Said when he was a kid he hated change, any change at all. She had quite liked change—mostly. But he did not want to dwell on that. So she asked him about the fingers trick, and he was happier to talk about why it had upset everyone so much.

Still, they all wanted to believe in him. They all wanted a miracle. P- worried about a zombie apocalypse, but Ulysses and Titania weren't zombies, they were fully controlled by John's commands and will.

He and she sit in the fallout ash for a bit.

Then they started testing the limits. What he can and can't do, how much he can control them, from what distance. They even dug up a graveyard, to P-'s annoyance at having to cover it up, and he could "raise" the bodies of the long-dead as well.

At that point, they knew the biggest risk was getting caught, getting institutionalized, or weaponized by more stakeholders. Maybe they'd seen too many movies.(4)

Well, that certainly seems relevant, are we four for four? Of course we are. I don't love the layer of "the Jews sought the more to kill him" because that sort of thing has been long, long used to justify antisemitism, but some people are probably getting more upset at John for not complying and giving up, considering how hard they worked to shut him down. Meanwhile letterizing brings us to THETOWER. Well, we certainly saw many towers at Canaan House, but this feels more specific somehow. THE tower, or perhaps The Tower, not just any old tower. (2) It's true! The constellation the North knows mainly as the Southern Cross, or Crux, is known in Maori culture as the anchor on the Milky Way's boat. (3) That sneaky "you" again. (4) How many of us haven't made wild plans for things like nuclear attacks or zombie apocalypses because we've seen too much fiction to not think about it on some level? Even though the risks are so low for most of the world. (5) The joke almost as old as the internet, that the internet is hell and cursed and we'd be better off without it. We wouldn't, mind, but I still laughed.

Thank you for asking. I really wanted to do some more asks for inspiration but didn't take into account that my brain is all over the place at the moment so I hope my answers are adequate 😅

9. What family does your Boss have or if they have a lot, what family are particularly important to them?

Blood family... yikes is all I can say. I have written about her parents elsewhere (i will find and rb the post soon) but the only person who is particularly important as in she still misses/is upset about once the earth blows up is her older sister Phoebe, who was more or less responsible for raising her when her mom went off the rails. They lost touch after Phoebe left home and Casey regrets that deeply. Matt made the time text/voicemail thing primarily because of seeing her go through this.

She has an uncle on her dad's side who taught her to shoot and fight, and cousins she doesn't know. She realises her mom might have kept that side of the family away from her.

Anything else I say in this regard is massive spoilers for written but unposted!

Of course she finds familial connections elsewhere, her friend Mori's mom is more like a mom to her than her own parents, Johnny is very much like a brother to her and Julius was a poorly chosen father figure.

She sees Kinzie as a sister, and that actually mirrors her experience with her blood sister: they have a 4 year gap, the oldest has a lot of responsibility on them but can be a little silly and comes across as quite carefree, the youngest comes across as more intelligent, more socially awkward, more highly strung but overall they are not under the same amount of pressure. Might make a longer post on this at some point. I noticed when they meet they even have some physical resemblance since Casey had red hair and wore a purple hoodie near-permanently.

12. One or more ways your Boss is different to you.

I seem to recall I put a few for reasons she's the same, so... I'm going to do a few for ways she's different, especially because I find that more interesting!

She's a woman, she's American, she's anti-love whereas I'm a hopeless romantic.

More interestingly, once she gets over her teenage awkwardness she's quite friendly and sociable but doesn't much like the side of fame that comes with her wealth and power whereas I'm shy and socially anxious but secret(ish)ly an attention whore! I like public speaking, performing etc. but can't make friends for shit!

Pretty much her entire family/backstory is considerably different. And she likes Jane Austen and other period romance type authors! I've just never been interested in that kind of thing. Had to do some serious research there!

I'd consider myself a "grown up but not grown out of it" goth so I'm pretty lazy with it now, whereas Casey was always interested in that aesthetic but only really has a chance to get into it later in life. I'm a decent cook and I'm not completely hopeless with tech, though I do have my moments! But I can't brag too much because put me in any sort of gang battle and clearly I'd be dead within 5 seconds.

16. Is there anything from the games you've drastically avoided or downplayed in your headcanon?

Ooh so as many people will know, I tend to swing towards using the canon so I needed some time to think about this one and I'm still struggling!

I'm going to go with the obvious: she's a cis woman (though I often wish I'd made her trans because narratively that makes so much sense!). Although percieved as a boy, her voice was never any of the SR1 voices and I doubt she could be made effectively on SR1's character creator, even though the events of the game are canon to her. This is my attempt on SR2 but when you compare to her SR4 self it doesn't really look like the same person:

There are some lines by 'her' voice about being in college and being in a co-ed curling team, and she definitely didn't make it to college, but I can see her doing some form of online study during some of the downtime/gaps between big in-game events.

She is a SR4 Boss at heart and because of where her story starts, I feel like her SR1-3 history is pretty downplayed in my fanfic, in a 'we already know this so I'm not going to talk about it too much' kind of way. But I'm sure over time I will get into it more on here. I might even write some oneshots, I'd like to get one about the familial bond she felt with the original Saints because it's really very sweet.
