what i love about the Famous Actor Natori Shuuichi of it all is that...it's not just that he's famous and therefore widely recognizable wherever he goes. like yes that is very funny because he was an exorcist before he became a famous actor, which means he CHOSE, on purpose, a day job that would make it harder to hide his double life/secret identity from the hordes of his adoring public, but it's more than that. it's not just that he's famous, it's that he's famous specifically for being an ACTOR, aka a person whose job it is to dissimulate, to make believe, to inhabit roles and emotions other than his own. like he decided he was going to become as visible as possible (which again was literally not necessary! he could have gone into any other career for his day job!!) but in such a way that everyone would see him but no one would see him - they would just see his various made-up personas, including the Famous Actor Natori Shuuichi persona. i can't decide if he's a genius or if he just made so many absurd decisions that they canceled each other out and circled back around to working out. he's either playing 9-dimensional chess or he's eating the pieces. too soon to say.
#the other thing i love about it is that in a very real sense it's his actor day job that is his alter ego#being an exorcist is his normie job. he's just a famous celebrity on the side#which isn't that uncommon in secret identity setups but it's still very funny#natsume's book of friends#natsume yuujinchou#natori shuuichi#natsuyuu meta#my posts#f#i think probably the actual answer is that acting was a very natural career choice because he already masks so extensively#both to hide that he can see things other people can't (and that youkai exist and that he exorcises them)#and to hide what he's really feeling so that no one can use it against him#so if it's already something he has to do & he's good at it...why not have someone tell him exactly how to do it & get paid for it?#and the other part of the answer is that most ppl don't go into acting assuming they'll get famous. the fame was a side effect#so each decision as it was being made probably made perfect sense. but put them all together#and you have this hilarious assortment of elements that seem to directly contradict each other#okay also i would be remiss if i didn't mention the other possible answer which is that the attention came first and was unavoidable#and the acting developed from the need to protect himself from the attention that he was going to be attracting no matter what he did#because he's so beautiful. and (in the exorcist world specifically) because he's the last of the natori#the more i talk about it the more i'm like no becoming a famous actor was the only path that made any sense for him lol#1) he's gonna be watched no matter what bc he's him -> gotta figure out how to hide his secrets -> learn to act as self-defense#or 2) he's got secrets -> he's gotten a lot of practice hiding them -> hey you could make a career out of this!#all roads lead to actor natori shuuichi. and since he's beautiful...all roads lead to FAMOUS actor natori shuuichi#i love it when i ramble so much in the tags that i end up contradicting my own post lol#he's neither thinking ten steps ahead nor is he irrational. he's simply making sensible individual decisions#that follow logically from what is available to him and what his priorities are

🖤Breaking baddie🖤: Describing your 'dark feminine' energy. How to channel it?
Hola malacitas 😘 (i hope that actually made sense lol).
First things first, what is "dark feminine" energy?
Yes, this is the **first website that comes up when you google "dark feminine," but it is pretty thorough and comprehensive! I liked it the most out of all the others. The others either repeated the same points or had too many outdated/black-or-white views. Feel free to do your own research however. There are plenty of videos on YouTube as well. **One caveat...when you get to the part about tapping into DF energy, I disagree with #8 (specifically).
(We're going to keep this post light and I'll dedicate a separate post to my personal viewpoints.)
So I will be telling you all about your personal DF "archetype." I will also provide guidance on how you channel your DF energy.
I am so so excited for this! Eek 🙊 Okay, options below, left to right. I hope it resonates!
Tumblr media
I am using a few different decks. I won't be adding pictures but I will provide what cards I drew.
Pile 1
Off the bat: I am hearing "no fuss" and also "ruthless," which is interesting considering the image you chose. I was also hearing the lyrics "all I do is win, win, win no matter what." So I'm getting some really bad ass energy right away! Come thru mob girlies!
4-Card Spread: 4 of Diamonds, 8 of Diamonds, 7 of Hearts, Joker. Bottom of deck is 6 of Clubs.
It's funny you have the 6 of Clubs (wands) on the bottom of the deck. I was hearing those lyrics about winning. This is a card that signifies victory and public recognition or celebration. I feel like the DF side of you is really bad ass! I'm also getting a pinch of "lover girl" energy. Its kind of like you have perfect formula sugar+sheist+everything nice! lol
Tumblr media
This energy isn't afraid to be in the spotlight but is also quite comfortable in the shadows. You may be (or this is what other people think) the type to use underhanded to get ahead. Its not personal but you gotta do what you gotta do. I'm also getting an energy of it is easy for people (I'm hearing "dudes" so maybe some of you talk like that) to get attached and feel led on. But I think you are married to the hustle.
Some of you may not regularly reside in this energy and could be put off by the description. But that is exactly why its dark feminine energy. It pokes and antagonizes the status quo, which is where most of us reside from day to day. Traditionally, feminines are not painted as cunning, street-wise, heartbreakers. Your DF energy pushes back against those constraints placed on feminines that require prioritizing the group over self. Not that anyone asked but I think that's actually kind of amazing.
Of course you don't have to reside in this energy and adopt some toxic alter ego, but there probably are some gems hidden here. People who move like this are usually made, not born. In some way, they learned that survival=competition, so you learn to "stay ready so you don't have to get ready." Your motto as a DF would be "every (wo)man for themselves," making betrayals feel less personal because...well it just isn't, as crazy as that sounds.
Advice: The Devil, Queen of Swords, King of Wands, The Star. Bottom of deck is 7 of Swords + Mute (Oracle)
I'm getting a strong message about speaking up. I am using Tarot de Carlotydes and in this deck the 7 of Swords is depicted as a sword swallower. Which I always interpret as "swallowing" the truth. Then as I was focusing on this group's image, I realized the cabinet behind her is full of skulls, reminding me of "skeletons in the closet." Then finally we have a literal Mute card:
The Mute is told what to hear, say and think and is often suppressed. Sometimes breaking the chains against heeded words may be rewarded.
So you currently may be the complete opposite of your DF energy. One of the keywords for the Mute is "insecurities." I feel like a lot of you are sleeping on yourselves. 🔊AND ITS TIME TO WAKE THE F UP!
Maybe you are trapped in your light feminine energy. I say trapped because it feels like you are forced into that box. Super passive, loss of control. Where your DF energy would insist on speaking up and standing out, you may just keep your head down and avoid any trouble.
I'm hearing specifically that some of you love writing poetry but may have someone who discourages you from pursuing this interest. You may want to present your poetry to an audience and they tell you that no one wants to hear what you have to say. For others, they are saying no one wants to hear from you about something else.
If you are used to toxic and restrictive connections or friendships, you are being called to step out of that. Get used to asserting your boundaries, "do not speak down about my hobbies," "if you cannot allow me to think for myself, then we can not continue our relationship." I think you definitely have it in you.
Another keyword listed is "hope." I think some of you may enjoy singleness and being single-mindedly focused on you and your goals, more fulfilling than you think. It can be healing to finally feel like the star of your show.
TL;DR: Your DF energy definitely has a bit of edge to her. She does what she has to do to move ahead and she prefers to fly solo. Even if that is not where you are right now, this energy already exists within you. Once you drop the dead weight--be it toxic family, toxic friends, or a toxic partner--you will see how quickly you flourish. You have every right to speak your truth and protect your peace. Its time to peel yourself off the wallpaper and start standing out and speaking up!
Pile 2
Off the bat: I wasn't getting anything with this group. I found that strange and wondered if I wasn't "tuned in." I think this represents your mental space when you are in your DF energy. You are clear minded and have a "sober" outlook. Maybe some of you are literally sober or are considering it.
4-Card Spread: 2 of Clubs, Queen of Spades, 8 of Spades (R), Ace of Hearts/7 of diamonds. Bottom of deck is 9 of diamonds.
I am very strongly getting that there is something noteworthy about your DF's decision making abilities. Maybe that sounds "boring," but its actually pretty admirable! The world often sends the message that feminine energy does not possess strong cognitive abilities. When feminines contradict this stereotype, they can be labeled as "cold," "mean," "masculine," or met with hostility.
I'm honestly getting that the DF in you does not care. You may naturally lean more to this side in every day life. Or this is where you could be if you tapped into your DF energy more often.
You make clear decisions and keep it moving. You do not allow your thoughts to keep you tangled up in a web of confusion and indecision. Some of you could be really good at chess. I am getting that kind of energy. Calculated, self-assured, and making decisions with no intentions of taking it back.
You are quite comfortable standing on your own, and pouring into your own little world. I get the image of a woman who lives on a quiet estate, walking through her garden, with birds chirping and flying above. Have any of you watched the movie Men (2022)? I loved the imagery in that film and that's kind of the vibe I am getting now. A lot of horse girlies may have picked this pile.
Tumblr media
I feel you being very unbothered, above drama. Your DF energy would love to find a masculine that can match your energy. You are good on your own so you won't allow anyone disruptive into your peaceful little domain. You do not make impulsive decisions in love and you are willing to wait for a new opportunity that is worth the investment. With the king of diamonds two cards under the 9 of diamonds, I do feel like this DF energy could pull the kind of masculine you desire.
Your DF energy really shines in STEM related jobs, corporate spaces, or any position that requires a sharp mind.
Advice: Ace of Swords, 10 of Swords, 4 of Wands, Knight of Cups. Bottom of deck is 10 of Wands + Spider (Oracle)
As soon as I pulled the ace of swords, I heard "get used to speaking your truth." I also heard stop entertaining "little boys." I don't think this is in terms of age, I think this referring to the maturity level of masculine energies you may usually deal with. I am in no way encouraging that you pursue anyone older. (Honestly, that does not guarantee emotional maturity or respect. But that's another convo).
I think this message is about the expectations you set for your partners. There is nothing wrong with expecting them to match you. They can either rise to the occasion or be left behind. If you hold this potential inside of you to be a queen of swords, queen of pentacles, and 9 of pentacles. Then I'm sure that energy exists out there in a suitable counterpart. The ten of wands is encouraging you to keep forging forward. I don't like preaching to be "strong" and "endure," but this is different. You are being strong for yourself. If you have to walk alone right now, it gets tough at times, but you are doing it with purpose. It will pay off.
For some this may literally require you to live alone. Its interesting that I keep getting messages about homes. I got a lot of diamonds/pentacles in the last spread, which also can deal with the home and related practical matters. "Home" is one of the keywords for Spider. The Moon is on the bottom of the deck, I think it is also relevant. This is what the guidebook has to say about each:
The Spider traps those who wander into her web. Keywords: Control, Home, Familiarity, Comfort, Trapped, Security. The Moon is not always as she seems. Her delicate glow seeks for hidden truths while blinding others to her own. Keywords: Confusion, Apprehension, Suspicion, Feelings.
You may need to be more discerning when it comes to who you let into your home and/or your heart. You might need to create a little confusion when it comes to what your next move is. Everyone does not deserve your energy or to be held on to.
Spiders can also be associated with anxiety. In regular tarot, I do consider the moon to be a card that can speak about mental health. So some of you may need to make these changes for your own sanity, literally.
TL;DR: Your DF energy is a very strong and self-sufficient queen of swords type. She thinks clearly, can make decisions without questioning herself, and always stands on business. She has high standards for those who come around her because she has built a beautiful life for herself and will vet anyone who wants to join. This self-respect and authenticity helps to attract a suitable mate. One who can match this go-getter, no bs energy. The key to channeling this energy is to start living in it now. Trust your decision making abilities, don't announce or seek validation before you make a necessary personal decision. Staying true to yourself and becoming more independent will pay off.
Pile 3
Off the bat: When I looked at the image for your pile, I immediately heard "I'm not one of those/your little girls." So whew! We are coming in hot! Also hearing "I wish a b---- would."
4-Card Spread: 7 of Hearts, Jack of Clubs, 2 of Clubs, Joker. Bottom of deck is 5 of Hearts.
I am getting more light-hearted energy in this pile than the previous two. Maybe a lot of young, or young-at-heart, people have chosen this pile. This DF energy could easily pull many suitors but she views lovers as more of a "fun time," not so much a "long time." You could also be a little toxic toward lovers. Makeup to breakup, or honestly sometimes its just breakup lol.
This energy is quite fiery and uninhibited. Some of you could be fire signs, specifically Sagittarius. Or I am getting that because of what Sag represents: free spiritedness, adventure, luck. No wonder this DF energy resists being tied down. The world is literally your oyster and you knows it!
This DF energy is also a little scrappy. Have any of you watched the Bad Girls Club? You know how there would be that one person who has a temper, then gets a little too messed up when they go clubbing and ends up wanting to fight everyone... When you see red, people need to clear your path! I do get a bit of a party girl energy which is not surprising considering I was picking up on Sag.
Tumblr media
This DF does not have a problem fulfilling her emotional needs. You will always make sure your cup is full. You will always make sure you are having a good time. You realizes that you have this amazing, fortunate energy and unapologetically harnesses it to get the most out of life. I think your DF self is also likely to be single and happy that way. Picking yourself up after disappointments in love is no problem because there are plenty more where they came from. You have an abundant mindset when it comes to love and life.
Advice: Queen of Wands, The Hanged Man, Ace of Swords, 5 of Cups. Bottom of deck is 5 of Swords + Ghost (Oracle)
In order to channel this DF energy, some of you may literally have to ghost someone. I am not surprised the energy of having to cut people off has been coming up. Sometimes the company we keep can really hinder our growth and self-expression. The hanged man is about surrender and next to the ace of swords, I sometimes see this combo as maintaining no contact. Ghost could also be taken literally.
But I think Ghost is also talking about a tendency toward self sabotaging and shrinking yourself. This is the total opposite of the DF energy that I just channeled. Its like the past and your insecurities have a tendency to haunt you and keep you stuck. You may also try to make yourself invisible. In the guidebook, the word forgotten repeats itself twice for this card:
The Ghost lingers, forlorn and forgotten. Keywords: Hidden, Mystery, Forgotten, Spiritual Matters, Fears, Faith
You will need to work on your self-confidence. When you are more confident in yourself, you will be more confident in your decision making abilities. You will be more authentic with the way you present yourself to the world because it won't matter whether people approve or disapprove. You know who you are. With the 5 of cups, there could be something that you are still grieving or regretting but you can bounce back from this! Channel your inner phoenix and allow yourself to blossom. Its time to reinvent yourself!
Be open to all the great things life has to offer you. Guided meditations for gratitude and self-confidence/self-love could be very beneficial. Trust that the flow of life is always leading you to something wonderful. Trust that you are allowed to call the shots in your reality. Do your part then trust and let go.
TL;DR: Your DF energy is very spicy! She is popular and free-spirited. She knows that life has so many different adventures to offer and she does not let anything stop her from exploring them. This DF is likely to be single or somewhat noncommittal. She does not mind flying solo and knows she can always find another mate. She is also quite lucky and manifests fortunate events with ease. To channel this energy you will need to drop any dead weight and increase your confidence in yourself and your decision making abilities. You could benefit from some form of self-help resources like books and guided meditations. And if it is accessible to you, therapy, support groups, or other resources that will help your create a stronger you.
Pile 4
Off the bat: I am getting a pretty serious energy. Some domme energy or you could just be a pretty dominant woman. This could be describing you or your DF energy. I keep hearing strawberries and champagne. Is that even a real thing? I've never met anyone who enjoyed that combo.
4-Card Spread: 4 of Clubs, Jack of Diamonds, Ace of Hearts, and Ace of Spades. Bottom of deck is Queen of Spades
I am still getting some of that super assertive and stern feminine energy. I could see your DF self working being a principal. I am also hearing headmaster/headmistress. I think she would love working with children but not in the traditional, mushy-gushy light feminine way. Its more of a "I have/enforce rules because I love you" type of energy . You believe in structure and order. If this isn't working with children, this could also apply to raising children. I could also see this DF running an orphanage. I did hear "rule the roost" while I was shuffling, so no matter how this resonates, you definitely are not afraid to lead.
You are generous and wise. Beneath the stern exterior is a lot of love and compassion. Your soft spots are not visible until you take a closer look at what you invest your time and energy into. This kind of energy could also attract less mature suitors, because it intimidates them yet they are so infatuated. You carry yourself with grace and probably won't entertain them. You are much more suited to be their mentor than anything.
Going back to the original domme energy I was getting. You may actually prefer partnerships that allow you to wear the pants. You don't really want a masculine energy coming in and dictating to you. You can run your own life just fine and would rather partner up with someone who can understand that. I don't think you want someone that is "weak" either, its more like you desire the cliche of the masculine that calls the shots in the board room but is more submissive/passive at home. They are secure enough to be with a feminine energy as strong as them.
Tumblr media
Some of you as DF would be comfortable living a "nontraditional" life. Nontraditional as far as feminine energy is concerned anyway. You may prefer live-in partners, or life partners, over traditional marriage. You could identify with being poly or something similar. You would love to travel and always seek to broaden your horizons. This is the type of person you would expect to have "summer homes." You could also decide to not have children or you would want to wait on having/adopting children. You love living authentically because of how freeing it is to just be you. You don't care what outsiders think of your life because you know you are doing what works best for you.
Tumblr media
Advice: 3 of Swords, 5 of Pentacles, 9 of Swords, Queen of Wands (R). Bottom of deck is The Devil + Soil (Oracle)
To channel this DF energy more, you will need to master the art of not giving a shit. Some of you could be currently suppressing this energy. I really don't think its that far out of reach for all of you. Its just your fear that is keeping you trapped.
For some of you this trapped feeling is because you are in the closet. I am not telling you to come out because I don't know how that would impact your life. I want you to stay safe! However, maybe you can seek out queer friendly spaces. Or spaces that are supportive of whatever group you identify with.
There could also be a heartbreak that has left you questioning yourself. In the Tarot de Carlotydes, the 9 of swords is depicted as a woman chained in a dark room, with a flower in her hand and broken heart drawn on a piece of paper. I always see this card as being tortured over a disappointment. In this particular deck, I see as a mental prison that you feel trapped in because you are clinging to and rehashing an event. Holding onto this event keeps the pain fresh or recurring. It is time to release it.
Do not internalize other people's actions and shortcomings. It is not a reflection of you. You are who you decide to be. Do not dim your shine for anyone. Do not stunt your growth either. I'm not sure what it is that is holding you back but you have the potential to be the brightest star! You can be strong, and confident, and assertive. There is this little ball of power inside of you, that can grow if you allow it. Soil echoes the same message I am seeing in tarot. You must let yourself bloom:
The soil is a conduit of both growth and decay. Eyes forward, rooted to the past and reaching to the skies, she'll grow. Keywords: Balance, Forward, Growth, Duty, Building.
Some of you may use less than healthy tactics to cope. Maybe you should think of yourself like a plant. What are you fertilizing your soil with? What are you using for watering? Put the best in, get the best out.
TL;DR: Your DF energy is a L-E-A-D-E-R, okay?! She calls the shots in every area of her life. Some suitors are attracted to her because their immaturity is infatuated with her self-assured, mature energy. However, she prefers an equally strong partner at her side but this does not mean she wants to be led. No, she wants someone that respects her as an equal but allows her to take the lead. She lives life on her terms, loves on her terms, and does not care what anyone else thinks of that. She does have a soft spot but that is not for everyone. This nurturing energy could be channeled into working with children in some capacity. In order to step into this energy, you will have to untether yourself from insecurity and heartbreak. You already have this power inside of you, its only a matter of letting it grow. You don't have to deny what you have been through or the way it impacts you, but it also does not have to hold you back. Replace your unhealthy coping mechanisms with healthy ones.
As previously stated, I have a planned post that will expand on my views about feminine energy and other spiritual topics. I am really looking forward to sharing my thoughts and hope you all will chime in! I would love to start a discussion.
Until then ❤

Ostara/Spring Equinox Festival Part 2 It starts -> here
Ji Ho's plan was to sing a Siren's Song to make this festival less stressful/awkward for all of them. But before, he made sure that each of them agreed to this. Ji Ho still feels uncomfortable to influence the emotions and actions of his friends. He'd seen his grandfather doing the worst with these songs and he still fears that the Council made his grandfather influence him to put a spell on Vlad so they could get a grip on him and his powers...
The Easter Egg Hunt still goes on: (3) in the pic above (not the egg-like objects on the table). They are a bit hard to find but there are pics incoming where you can see them better. (2) In the pic below.
Tumblr media
Ji Ho sang The Kilburn High Road from Flogging Molly. It doesn't matter which song he sings, he can weave his spells into every song.
'Toast to tears of time's past glories This ageless clock chime stalls Where to kiss the lips of that love forgotten To fly where no others have soared'
Arturo is watching them. But why does he look so sad and worried? Does he feel sad for them in general or does he know something we don't know (yet)? ö.Ö'
Tumblr media
It's time for the ritual and Arturo gathers them.
Tumblr media
Kiyoshi is inaugurating and blessing the sacred wellspring. The visitors will be able to fill their vessels here and take the healing water back to the mundane world to heal those who can't visit the Otherworld. (2)
Tumblr media
Then it's finally time for some fun! They divided up into the least awkward groupings. Ji Ho and Kiyoshi, Jack and Jeb and Saiwa and Vlad. And Arturo retreated to celebrate with his husband Chánh. (2) (There are no eggs in the waterballoon bucket ^^')
Tumblr media
Omg Ji Ho!
Tumblr media
That hurt - but Ji Ho bravely rides it out. He takes it like a pro ^^' But I think Ji Ho doesn't mind to get nailed by Kiyoshi. He had a crush on him since he first saw him ;) (1) Already seen in yesterday's post)
Tumblr media
Little Goat and his Bunny lookalike.
Tumblr media
Jack and Ji Ho missed Jeb a lot and they are glad they can spend this evening together. They should meet more often to not trigger the happenings that might lead to one/some of them dying in their possible future should they not stay togther ö.ö. But I think they still live close enough (it's just across the bridge) to hopefully avoid it. (3) One of them we've already seen in yesterday's post.
Tumblr media
The bunnies are searching for the eggs too 🐇
Tumblr media
Valerian: 'Hey Jack! The egg is over there!' Bunny Jack: 'Thanks, Pal!' (They call the bunnies after their simlish alter egos and this one is Jack's because he has the same hide colors/pattern as Jack's horse Lunatic ^^`) (3) (We've already seen two of the eggs in yesterday's post)
Tumblr media
TMI: While researching for this song, I found out that there is also a play 'The Kings of the Kilburn High Road'. It's about Six young Irish working men immigrate to London in the early 1970s. Six, like our Boys :]

Oh No, It's Again
Summary: Makoto wakes while everyone slumbers and makes his way to an unlocked kitchen and sees her standing there, bag of Cheetos in one hand and a pair of chopsticks in the other, munching them a little too loudly, and when she holds the bag out to him, he doesn’t take it.
If I kill you, will that stop everything?
She grins.  Won’t know if you won’t try, will you, lucky boy?
~
Inspired by this post, but absolutely nothing like it.
Mostly.
Rating: M for graphic depictions of violence and general Danganronpa reasons.
AO3
The first time Makoto falls down the garbage chute, still locked to a desk that, along with him, was meant to be crushed by a compactor, he reminisces about when he first came to Hope’s Peak Academy.
Then he hits the floor head first and has just enough time to hear the cracking of his skull, the sharp shattering of his spine, before everything goes black.
~
The second time Makoto falls down the garbage chute, still locked to what is probably that exact same desk, he has a sharp sense of déjà vu.  He muses on this for a few seconds, brow furrowing, until he lands, again head first, his neck snapping at a sharp angle.
This time, though, his eyes are open, and he sees everything, but not enough.
~
Makoto doesn’t eat a lot of food, but he finds himself throwing a lot away.
A lot of trash.  A lot of excess.
He feels bad about it, at first, because it’s just such a waste of food, and there are starving people all over the world, and it doesn’t really matter that they for some reason have unlimited food in Hope’s Peak (maybe, if they weren’t in the middle of a Killing Game – and what sort of person refers to this as a game? – it would be great to bring everyone here.  Unlimited food!  No one would need to starve! But first they need to get out of this alive)—
It’s not like he knows why he’s doing this.
Just something…something in him tells him that there needs to be more trash.
More trash.
Like it’s some sort of life-or-death matter.
~
It takes at least another seventy-eight respawns before Makoto survives in the garbage chute.
(Then she temples her fingers together and leans forward with an intrigued grin on her face.  Finally, something interesting.)
~
The first time Junko faces the trash compactor, she glances up, waiting to see if Alter Ego will appear to save her the same way it saved Makoto.
~
Sayaka Maizono hesitates before attacking Leon.
He catches her in the attempt, and he attacks back.
She dies in the bathroom of the boy she’d meant to frame, blood-tipped finger trying hopelessly to write her murderer’s name on the wall beside her, everything going black before she can finish.
~
The second time, Junko doesn’t even glance up.  She knows how this story ends.
She also knows how to get out.
Ultimate Analyst, baby!
~
Sayaka Maizono hesitates before attacking Leon, and when he attacks her, she has a strong, strong sense of déjà vu.
Unfortunately, she is not the only one.
Leon cuts her fingers off while she’s still alive, but he’s an idiot and tries to throw them in the incinerator, too.  A few of them make it in, sure, and there’s such a stench that everyone complains as soon as they wake up.  The problem is that not all of them make it in.
Makoto might be a lot of things – he might even be a murderer! – but no one believes that he would chop Sayaka’s fingers off.
Or try to burn them.
~
Chihiro doesn’t ask Mondo for help; he asks Taka.
Mondo, desperate to keep his secret exactly as it is, strangles Byakuya for being a prick.
(She laughs a bit at that.  She’s been waiting on someone to shut him up.)
Unfortunately, without Byakuya to mess with the scene, Mondo’s caught easily.
Kyoko, impressive as always, matches Mondo’s fingerprints to the bruises on Byakuya’s neck.
Before they get to the trial, Jack snaps.  Mondo isn’t killed with the same care and consideration that her other victims were given.  In fact, the only reason they even know that the bloody mess is Mondo is because he’s the only one missing.
(It’s the most gruesome murder she’s seen, and she’s seen a lot of murders.)
Jack cackles as she’s led to her death.
Except that she sneezes, and Toko doesn’t know why she’s being flayed alive with her own scissors.  She doesn’t know why, but she understands, and the despair on her face when she finds out that Byakuya, too, is gone—
(Oh, if only it could be like this every time.  But, then, she’s seen this now.  It won’t be as good next time.)
~
Sayaka Maizono doesn’t hesitate, but she hasn’t thought through the follow-up.
Everything else proceeds as normal, other than killing her at the Class Trial instead of Leon.
She dances herself to death with red hot iron shoes, her screams tuned into music.
(She’d been proud of herself for that one and glad to find an opportunity to finally use it!)
Makoto doesn’t get enough trash in the garbage this time, too distraught over Sayaka actually killing someone, and breaks his neck.  This time, some of his brains splatter out!
(This would be a lot cooler if she hadn’t seen that thirty respawns ago.)
~
Sayaka Maizono succeeds.
Everyone votes for Makoto as the murderer.
She didn’t realize her success would mean everyone else dies.
Rather than graduating at the top of her class like a good girl does, she jumps down the garbage chute.
Now, Makoto definitely has not had enough time to fill the garbage with enough trash to soften that blow, but Sayaka doesn’t land on her head.  She breaks both of her legs and starves to death after eating what garbage can be found.
~
The next time, Sayaka realizes enough to throw herself in the incinerator instead of down the garbage chute.
It’s immensely painful, but it doesn’t last nearly as long.
(She snacks on Cheetos after the Trial, licks the orange dust from her fingertips with a sigh, and resets the chess pieces.)
~
Makoto, tired of falling down the garbage chute, doesn’t sacrifice himself for Kyoko.
Of course, he can’t remember falling down the garbage chute, but something in the back of his head says, Hey, don’t help Kyoko.  You’re going to die if you do, and she’s not worth saving, and for once in his life, he listens.
Kyoko dies, and the only thing they hear before everything goes black is, “Boring,” in the voice of someone who should have been dead weeks ago.
~
Alter Ego steps in to save Kyoko, but Makoto doesn’t have the skeleton key, and she dies of starvation in the garbage, like Sayaka did, only without her legs broken.  Sometimes she yells through the hatch, sometimes she makes it all the way up the ladder and bangs on it, but Hiro’s still alive and he calls it a ghost in the system.
It doesn’t matter, they still don’t have the key, and it’s not like they can convince anyone else to jump down to save her.
(She leaves it running just long enough to hear Kyoko’s wheezing gasp and then restarts the Game.  It makes her stomach churn.  Almost as much as seeing the image of her own skeletal frame mimicked in Kyoko’s body.
There’s nothing fun about seeing someone you love starve to death.)
~
Sayaka succeeds.
Sayaka succeeds, and she doesn’t try to kill herself because even though she didn’t know her actions would cause everyone else to die, she did, somehow, and so she’s prepared for what it means to graduate, what it means to win, what it means to get out alive.
Sayaka looks up at the Mastermind with eyes wide with recognition and hears, “Can’t end the show on one episode!  Sorry, babe.”
(She’s cruel when she says that Sayaka’s band members are all dead.  Her despair is warm as a beating heart.)
~
Makoto doesn’t switch rooms with Sayaka, and when Leon goes to meet with her, they have a nice conversation about music, and nobody dies.
Makoto doesn’t switch rooms with Sayaka, but Hina still hides herself with Sakura, and instead of waking up one day to Leon or Sayaka’s murdered body, they wake up another day later to Hina having disappeared and the school smelling of burnt flesh.
The thing is, they all know what happened to Hina, but none of them actually discover her body, so there’s no announcement.
It feels a bit like this isn’t the right ending.
~
(This time, she gives Sakura explicit murder instructions.  No throwing bodies in the incinerator.  You have to die this time, Sakura.
Sakura tries to strangle her instead, which is a fun thought, except that she grins and grins and grins.)
~
(This time, she tells Sayaka that her band members are all alive.  Safe and sound.)
~
Makoto doesn’t switch rooms with Sayaka, and Makoto convinces Hina to sleep somewhere else, and Sakura rips off Celeste’s fake hair, and Mukuro looks up at the cameras with eyes that clearly ask, Is this what you wanted, sis?
~
The next time, Mukuro hesitates before the Spears of Gungnir hit her.  She looks up at the cameras and blinks twice.  Her head tilts ever so gently to one side.  Then her gaze flicks to the spears.  Her mouth makes a small, Oh.
(She hits the respawn button so hard that it nearly breaks.)
~
(It doesn’t matter.)
~
Mukuro hesitates before stepping on Monokuma and decides against it.  She doesn’t know why.  She trusts her sister, obviously, but something says not to provoke her right now.
Even if it is scripted.
~
When Chihiro doesn’t die, Alter Ego is a lot more aggressive.
(Unfortunately for them, she has her own Alter Ego by this point, working in the shadows, stopping them at every turn.)
~
Unfortunately for Mukuro, when she doesn’t get killed by the Spears of Gungnir, Sakura kills her instead.  Grabs her head between both hands and presses together until—
Well.
Mukuro tries to stop her.  Claws shreds in Sakura’s legs with the razor sharp bear claws she’s been given in the place of fingernails.
Her head explodes, eventually.  Blood and brain mixed together all over the walls.  Not as cool as when Jack killed Mondo, of course, but still pleasantly appealing.  It’s hard to even tell the difference between the pink of her blood and the pink of her brains.
Kyoko finds the small bits of flesh under Mukuro’s fake fingernails, notes the gauze wrapped around Sakura’s legs, and puts two and two together.
(Maybe next time Sakura should kill Kyoko.)
~
Mukuro turns before Sakura can grab her head between her hands, but it doesn’t do any good.
Sakura grabs her head between her thighs and smashes it faster.
(She’s not gonna lie – that was impressive.  She should save a video of that just for her own personal use.)
~
Sakura tries to strangle the Mastermind, and a still living Mukuro slits her throat before any harm can come to her.
Unfortunately, this is still considered a murder.
The Spears of Gungnir make a return!  It’s not as fun this time.
~
(This time, she tells Sayaka the truth: There is no escape.)
~
Sakura strangles Kyoko, and none of them are smart enough to figure out that she did it.
Sakura confesses at the end because, unlike Sayaka, she will never find it acceptable to sacrifice the rest of her classmates just to find out the truth.
~
Hina drowns in the swimming pool.
Chihiro is impaled with spears that, really, no one else should have access to.
Makoto thinks he’s seen all of this before, his stomach cramping with nothing but déjà vu.
~
(The Game is boring without Kyoko.
The Game is worse when she has the same memories everyone else does.
The Game suffers because even without her memories, Kyoko can’t be anyone other than who she is.
The unfortunate thing is that this has never worked out for her.  If she lost her memories, she would be an entirely different person.  But no one ever takes her memories.
Yasuke tried, sure, and would have succeeded if he had figured out a way to make it permanent.
Unfortunate, then, that she was the one to figure it out.
It could have saved so many problems.
Not least of which is how bored she is getting with this entire thing.)
~
Makoto wakes up.
Makoto walks into the front room to meet all of his new classmates.
Within thirty seconds, every single one of them is impaled.
He doesn’t understand what’s going on.
Blood trickles from his lips.
He looks up at video cameras and wonders who, in their right mind, would enjoy this sort of thing?
(No one.  She doesn’t even enjoy this.  She just had to do it.  At least once.  Just to see what would happen.)
~
This time, only most of them are impaled.
Makoto and Kyoko are both left alive.
Mukuro tries to pull a Sayaka and write something in her blood, but another spear stabs direct through both of her hands, stopping her.
Even without her memories, Kyoko knows enough to know that Makoto didn’t do something like this, although she doesn’t know how – or why – she knows this.  It’s baked into her blood, after all.
It’s not baked into Makoto’s blood, though.
He drops to his knees and sobs.
(There’s something fun about seeing Makoto break, she can’t deny that.  But even that gets boring after a while.
When Kyoko figures her out, she yawns.  She waves her fingers at Kyoko, who stares at her through the video cameras, and resets the Game again.)
~
Once, Mukuro points a gun at the back of the Mastermind’s head.
Enough.
The Mastermind just laughs.
What’s enough?
The Mastermind resets the Game again before Mukuro can stop her.
(Then she makes some changes in the code so that can’t happen again.)
~
Sakura catches the Mastermind exactly once.
She pops her head between her thighs with a strange sense of déjà vu.
But with the Mastermind dead, that should be it, shouldn’t it?  Everything should—
(She had to know.  She had to know what it felt like.  She planned it so that her hand would fall on the reset button as she died.)
~
Junko resets and she resets and she keeps her memory of every Game and she has clips here and there and everywhere.  When she gets bored, she replays some of her favorite moments, but they don’t have the same appeal they once did.  Unfortunately, she can feel herself growing tired even of those.
And while there are still a lot more versions of the Game she could run, a lot more deaths she could see, she’s….
Tired.
Sure, sure, in a real Game, there would be a secret ending to unlock if she got every ending, but let’s be real here, how long will that take?  And it’s not like there’s a guide for this, or anything like that.
Junko runs the pad of her thumb on the button and wonders just what would need to happen for Makoto to kill someone.
Then, she grins.
~
Makoto figures it out.
Kyoko doesn’t figure it out; Makoto does.
It’s something he can’t even name, something about seeing Junko’s freckles and Junko’s magazines, and it hits him like a wave of…of something.
That’s not figuring it out, of course.
He’d say he was remembering it, but it feels like…like there’s a lot he doesn’t remember.
~
Makoto wakes while everyone slumbers and makes his way to an unlocked kitchen and sees her standing there, bag of Cheetos in one hand and a pair of chopsticks in the other, munching them a little too loudly, and when she holds the bag out to him, he doesn’t take it.
If I kill you, will that stop everything?
She grins.  Won’t know if you won’t try, will you, lucky boy?
~
A complete set.
Junko looks at a complete set and lets out a sigh.
That’s fine, then.
She can be done.
This time, when she resets everything, she wipes their minds again.  Sure, sure, it’ll play like it did the first time, probably.
Unless she makes some adjustments.
~
(Makoto doesn’t know what he needs to do to keep himself from dying.  She’ll fix that.  But nothing else.
That Game wasn’t the most entertaining, but.  Well.
She’ll give them the highlights of the other Games afterwards.  Won’t that be fun?
Oh!  And she’ll reset it and let them out.  A final prize!  Everyone’s alive!
But all of you have killed each other so many times.
That will be fun to see!
Puhuhuhuhu….~)
~
Junko has seen these executions hundreds of times, knew how to beat them after once.  Ultimate Analyst, baby.
It’s only the compactor that she has no real control over.
Of course, by now, Junko knows how to beat it, if she wants, but she’s playing it like she should have that first time.  Instead of pulling out the button and triumphantly pushing it right as the compactor falls (resetting everything and saving herself the pain of being crushed), she lets it fall.
(She has already been crushed by the compactor.  It hurts, but not in the warm, comforting way that having her head crushed by Sakura’s thighs had been.  This way, she’s conscious enough to feel every single one of her bones break, splinter, cut through her fragile skin.  Sometimes, her teeth shove up into her brain instead of simply cracking.  Sometimes both.  Her fingernails split down the middle, tear through her skin.  What a way to go.)
And even still, she looks up.
Maybe Alter Ego will save her this time.
It happens, every now and again.
(Sometimes, her own Alter Ego saves her, too, and she sees the despair of there being two of her entering all of the survivors before she resets the Game.  It was splendidly thrilling the first time, but even that has lost its luster.)
But no.
She set this to end the way it should have the first time Makoto was smart enough to save himself.
It’s not the most painful death.
But it will suffice.
~
When Junko dies, crushed beneath the compactor that should have (but did not) crush him, a red button skids across the floor, spattered with her blood.  Makoto picks it up, only for Kyoko to take it from him.  She comments on how the button itself seems well-used, how this is not a brand new shining button but that the color has started to fade, how some of the patterns around it have worn off from use.  She puzzles over that; it doesn’t make sense that the button intended to let them out should look like this.
But the others don’t care, but Makoto doesn’t care.
Byakuya snatches the button from her hands and marches to the door, pretending to be their leader again when everyone can see that he very clearly wasn’t.
They gather in front of the door.
He presses the button.

Title: The Bane of My Existence, the Reason I'm Alive
Pairing: Seungmin x gender neutral!reader
Word count: 2.3k
Genre: fluff, angst, Spiderverse!au, university!au
Warnings: injury, cursing, a mention of porn as part of a joke (no actual sex/suggestiveness)
~
3:55 PM.
You slide into the seat of the lecture hall, five minutes before your exam is supposed to start. Physics—your best and favorite subject, and also the one you happen to have studied the absolute most for just to be absolutely certainthat you'll beat Seungmin Kim, the bane of your entire existence.
Which, to be fair, is not entirely true. Because for one thing, the stupid criminals and villains you fight every week as your spider-based alter ego are far bigger nuisances than he is. Doc Ock nearly killed you, physically and metaphorically and sarcastically. You're still recovering from the shock of live tentacle porn crawling down the streets of Manhattan—you're not quite sure you'll ever get over that, which is something you made sure to say when he was wrapped tidily up in your webs and the police were coming to take him away.
And for the record, Seungmin does seem like a nice guy—for the most part, at least. He's got a sense of humor and he's friendly enough, liked by most of the student body even though he transferred to your university very suddenly just a month or two ago. But his smile—his stupid smile—whenever he beats you in a test in one of the classes you share, his stupid little shrug when you beat him like it doesn't matter at all to him, this one-sided rivalry of yours—
Ugh. You grit your teeth just thinking about it. Enough said. He's the bane of your existence. That's it.
And…
You look around the room.
And he's not here.
Huh. You frown. The TAs have already started passing out the tests, starting from the front and back and making their steady way to the middle where you usually sit, Seungmin just one row in front. But the seat he always takes is suspiciously empty right now, his head of black hair nowhere to be seen anywhere in the room.
Your frown deepens as a TA passes you an exam sheet face down. Why would he miss an exam? You've only known him for a couple of months but he doesn't seem like the type to skip a test—or, at least if he had to, he'd probably have said something about it in passing when you two eventually got to bickering like you always do—so why?
A bubble of worry starts to build in your stomach, which is so dumb—why should you care? Why the fuck should you? It's just Seungmin, Seungmin Kim who's not even really a friend. He's just a guy. A dude that infuriates you a little too much when it comes to your need for academic validation.
The clock strikes four. Papers rustle around the room. You flip over your own exam and force all thoughts of a certain Seungmin Kim out of your mind once and for all.
He's not your problem.
. . . . .
4:30 PM.
DANGER DANGER DANGER DANGER—
It hits you with a jolt—almost physically. You let out a gasp and the tip of your pencil breaks when you press it too hard into the paper, blinking furiously. The sense—the spider-sense—
DANGER DANGER DANGER
Your breath catches. Someone next to you gives you a sidelong glare and somewhere else someone hisses in frustration, but you can only force yourself to sit. And breath. And focus on what exactly you're going to do next.
Physics exam. Saving the city from possible disaster.
Seungmin's not here. It's silly and even selfish to think about now, but it makes the decision so much easier to know that at least compared to him, your half-finished test won't matter.
You hand your test to the nearest TA and sprint out of the hall.
. . . . .
4:47 PM.
"You're late to the party!"
That's the greeting Spider-Min tosses over as you swing into the fray. Despite the huge lizard monster thingrampaging through the streets, you grin—for all your initial frustration when a new spider person suddenly appeared in town, clearly more experienced than you, you think you can now count Min, as he has you call him, as one of your friends. He caught you when you were just starting out this vigilante gig and has since taught you so much.
It's also just really nice to have someone around who understands living a dual life like this.
"Well, excuse me for having a physics exam! How'd you get here so fast?" You lash out with your webs, slamming the monster's snapping jaws shut. It tries to roar but can't, so it settles for stomping over half a dozen cars instead. Screams erupt from the streets.
Shit. You leap from the side of a building, scooping up civilians and depositing them further away. "Better run!" you yell, waiting just long enough to make sure they survive their mad scramble to safety before turning back to the fight.
"Happened to be in Brooklyn when it started causing chaos, nerd!"
"Oh, suck it!" You punch one of the lizard's claws away, rolling your eyes under your mask. "As if you're not the exact fucking same, dickhead—"
Min laughs. It's a bright sound, warm and heavy and like one of the last rays of sunlight permeating your suit, warming you up from inside and out.
And even though you've most certainly failed a test for the first time in your life, even though you're still smarting over the fact that you worried about Seungmin Kim, even though you're fighting a lurid green lizard monster that's just managed to tear your webbing away from its mouth, you don't find it very difficult to laugh, too.
. . . . .
4:59 PM.
The lizard monster won't go down. Just—won't. It's annoyingly persistent and it fucking regenerates limbs—both you and Min have screamed some obscenity about this at least five times each because while the regeneration is slow, it's incredibly disturbing to watch in real time as well as annoying to deal with when you're trying to subdue it.
And, of course, there are a select few idiot civilians who insist on making your lives harder. It's usually a few foolhardy police who don't like vigilantes, but this time, there's a vlogger.
For real. A vlogger. Trying to film the fight from way too close.
And what does said vlogger get for his efforts? A chunk of rubble falling on his head. Or it would have fallen on his head if you hadn't abandoned the fight to sweep him out of the way, leaving Min to fight the creature on his own for a few dangerous seconds. "RUN!" you yell, shoving the stunned vlogger towards the police before spinning around to face the lizard creature that Min's still fighting alone.
Only—
It happens so fast you almost miss it. Something like—a computer glitch, almost. A spasm. That's as close as you can get to describing it, a sort of television static ripping through the air and distorting Min's image into a blur of—pixels, almost, though that doesn't make sense because pixels only exist in screens and not in real damn life.
It's fast. Half a second, maybe. But it's enough for the lizard's tail to sweep through the air, smacking the already falling Spider-Min into a building and hurtling him to the ground.
A blurry screech fills your ears. Only later will you realize you were the one who made the sound.
You sprint and leap onto the side of a building, shooting out desperate strands of web. By some miracle streak of luck, one of them catches Min in the back as he falls. You nearly fall yourself with the sudden weight at the end of the strand but you force yourself to hold on, to grab your friend before he falls.
"Min?" You land behind a pile of rubble, patting his cheeks. "Min!"
He doesn't respond.
Panic almost blinds you. Your head feels fuzzy and you can't see clearly, can't really breathe either, but you press two numb fingers to his neck and nearly swoon with relief when you feel a faint pulse beneath his suit.
Somewhere above you, the lizard hisses. You look up to see the hideous green face swinging left to right. Looking for Min. Looking for you.
You swallow hard. Min's in no condition to fight. He's out cold. His suit is shredded, showing bloody scrapes on his skin, and half his mask has been torn off.
Taking a shaky breath, you gently lower Min to the ground and step out from behind the rubble. "Over here, ugly!" you scream to disguise the fear freezing the blood in your veins.
Time to go on alone, just like you did before.
. . . . .
5:13 PM.
After Min falls, you don't know what happens.
Seriously. You don't. You know there was fear, you know there was rage, you know there was red crossing your vision that wasn't from your mask—but you don't know what happened. You just know that ten short but still horrifically long minutes later, you knocked the lizard out and it morphed into a human who you wrapped tightly in your webs and strung from a building for the cops to grab before ducking behind the rubble to pick up Min, who was still out cold.
He's still out cold as you swing him across the city and in through the window of your dorm.
Your body hangs on just long enough for you to deposit him on your bed and check his pulse to ensure that he is in fact still breathing. Then your legs give out and you fall to the floor.
For several long minutes, you can only sit there and gasp. Breathe. Try to make sense of everything that happened—lizard man, vlogger, glitch-pixel-what-the-fuck-Min, unconscious Min.
Most of it can be explained. Lizard man: experiment gone wrong. Probably. Vlogger: people are idiots. Unconscious Min: he got smacked into a wall.
But the glitch-pixel bit.
What the fuck was that.
You rip off your mask and take a gasping breath. Somewhere nearby you spot your water bottle and drain most of it in two gulps. You dump the rest on your face.
The cool water splashing onto your skin brings your mind back to focus, just a little bit. Enough for you to finally take a good look at Min on your bed, still unconscious.
Already some of the smaller scrapes have faded from his skin, visible through the torn fabric of his suit. You breathe a little sigh of relief, pushing yourself back up to take a closer look—not too close, because it feels kind of like an invasion of privacy, but enough to reassure yourself. Just a little bit.
Then your gaze falls on his face, where half of his mask has been torn off.
Your first instinct is to look away. You've never shown Min your face, nor has he shown you his. It's an unspoken agreement between the two of you to keep it quiet—not because you don't trust each other, but because you just didn't. No one knows you. No one knows Spider-Min. It's meant to be this way.
But almost against your will, you have to look again. Because there's something very familiar about the bottom of his face. The set of his jaw, the pale skin of his cheeks, the tilt of his nose half covered by a little flap of fabric still hanging on. And though you look away almost immediately, the familiarity stays. Tugs at your mind in all the wrong ways.
You squeeze your eyes shut. Half of you screams to look again. The other half screams to turn yourself away. And between the two halves, a little piece of your mind is whirring, trying to figure out who Min looks like to you.
And then.
And then.
It hits you.
Seungmin Kim.
Your eyes fly open, immediately lighting on Min. The jaw, the face shape—his laugh, his voice—his name, Min—
"Happened to be in Brooklyn while it started causing chaos, nerd!"
No wonder he wasn't taking the physics exam.
A strangled noise leaves your throat. Spider-Min. Seungmin Kim. Fellow spider person. Academic rival. You don't want to believe it—can't believe it—but all the evidence is staring you in the face, quite literally in your face—
If you just lift off his mask you'll know for sure.
Before you even realize it, one hand is reaching out for the torn edge of the mask, fingers itching to pull back the fabric and confirm every one of your horrible suspicions. They can't be the same—not the bane of your existence and half the reason you're still alive—but—
And then it happens again. The glitch. Pixels scrambling with radio static, television buzzing but in real life. Only for a second but just enough for you to watch Min blur in and out of reality the way he did during the fight. Enough for you to confirm that you weren't losing your mind then.
Though you just might be now.
To your horror, Min—Seungmin—what the fuck, did you bring Seungmin Kim back into your own bed, what the fuck—his eyes flutter. His lips part, just slightly. His breath catches.
You clap a hand over your own mouth, stifling something that feels half like a sob, half like a scream. And as Min's body shifts, his eyes starting to blink open, you do the only thing you can think to do.
Trembling fingers pull your mask over your face, and you jump out of the window.

ive been rethinking the HW2 candy cadet stories because they are confusing but heres some of my thoughts
the story that comes first is the one about the family deal. "a family didnt buy the $49.99 family pizza deal and they missed the greatest opportunity of their lives. then they all died"
the key parts in this story here is 'the family' and 'they missed the greatest opportunity of their lives'. the story is weird but its basically just telling us that a family (3 star fam) didnt do something, and they missed a huge opportunity and it came back to bite them
in the second story, its a bit longer. "a young woman got kidnapped by a witch but escaped with a scar for the rest of her life. she set off for revenge and met a boy at the mouth of the forest. she and the boy were friends and the boy told her to rest before killing the witch. they both went into a small house and the oven door closed. the witch would finally get her meal"
this is another story with a theme of not doing something. the young woman (vanessa) was tired and would kill the witch in the morning. she didnt do it when she should have and the oven door closed on her AND the boy (gregory)
even though a betrayal from the boy was my first thought, its never even implied in the story really. the young boy tells her to rest and she does, and they rest togeher in a small house. then they BOTH get closed inside the oven. theyre both compromised
i think these stories are basically telling us that 3 star fam missed their opportunity to take down vanny/the mimic. vanessa rested before attacking (post 3 star fam just living and getting back on her feet) but she was too late, and something happened to her and gregory because of it
'the witch' is probably for sure vanny because of the female pronouns (the mimic was the monster in ruin), and in hw2 they are heavily implying that Vanny is seperate from vanessa and glitchtrap and is her own virus now. her masks are even being used by fazbear entertainment as technician masks. shes already spreading and taking over
but i still dont exactly know what would happen to gregory and vanessa. i dont think they killed them off at all, so the other option is that something related to the virus happened to them.
this would make sense because even though glitchtrap is dead now, that doesnt matter. theyre telling us that the glitchtrapped alter egos are their own entities now. Vanny was built off of vanessa but shes her own virus now. theres no reason GGY/Dr Rabbit couldnt be the same. so if Vanny is using Cassie as a vessel, maybe Vanny also got to Vanessa and Gregory. or maybe GGY is back in Gregory but Vanessa is free (would give us a protag for the next release)
things are confusing but here are my thoughts. ggy hasnt been explored yet and introducing the concept of the alter egos being seperate from who they were created off of and its less a good and evil side and more using the human as a vessel is so interesting. and also has so much potential for if they choose to introduce ggy to the games. since they dont need to sacrifice one character for their evil side to exist in the same room it opens up so many possibilities

Use Regina George's personality to get what you want!!
Tumblr media
hello guys! i am super excited to do this post because i have been a fan of regina george since forever! its not because i like her personality alot but i like some of the aspects about her which makes me admire her even more and how she uses people to get what she wants! if your into law of assumption or any manifestation community and also want to improve your self concept you can use regina george personality to get ahead (difficulties, get what u want and make other people act according to you, fame, glamour, attention etc..) although i suggest to be kind to everyone and not be so mean (you get the idea) but its upto you since you create your own reality so ya just f it!
What makes regina so popular apart from her looks! (logical manner)
regina's popularity comes from her looks i agree with that! but although its just an aspect which supports her popularity since if looks is the only thing which makes her popular karen and cady should also be popular because they have more chance to gain fame. so its not only her looks which gives her fame but also her minions (gretchen and karen) who supports regina to attain her power and also her bf aaron samuels who has the looks to support regina's fame! because of having these things this makes more admirable and wants to be her!! but how does she manipulate her minions to get what she wants?
gretchen "the follower" who always listens to regina and always tries to get reginas attention and thinks regina is her best friend. but infact regina knows gretchen will listen to her no matter what! so she is always be mean to gretchen and controls her so she will always listens to regina. this is preety sad since i have a soft spot for gretchen since she dosnt think about herself much and always support regina. also gretchen is very rich so this adds to her fame and social status aspect and makes gretchen join the group. and also gretchen knows about regina very well since gretchen is a "gossiper" regina only allows valid informaton about herself to be shared to the school so she uses gretchen to spread information about her.
karen is just a sidekick in my pov because although karen is a threat to regina because she is more preetier than regina but karen is known to be "dumb" and also a "slut" so this makes her unlikeable to other students so this reduces fame of karen and increases reginas fame more. but although she includes karen because she is a preety face which could support her social status. due to karen being "dumb" regina can easily manipulate karen really well.
regina uses these minions because its much easier to control them and also karen being preety and gretchen being rich adds a social ideal status to the group which makes it easy for regina to be number 1.
aaron samuels is just another hot guy in school and dating a hot guy leads to fame? idk it kinda dosnt make sense to me but this makes them the ideal couple since they both are really beautiful. and makes other people more envious of her because they think she has everything she wants (she is rich, have a hot boy , preety , a friend group who is also in that high status, popular etc..)
how to use her personality using alter ego or law of assumption
so i have told everything about the psychological process of regina george. although these traits are really manipulative and toxic but also using these things can help u get ahead of circumstances which is an advantage. i always use her personality and identify with her to get attention and so on.. so this makes it easy for me to enjoy my time and also experiment with her personality really well.
its just really simple! all u have to do is identify yourself as regina george and act like her. such as how she smile and walks and everything so if you do a little gesture of her u will start to act like her even more! and thats what it reflects! its so simple like once u start to identify it thats what is gonna happen.
u dont need to think u need glamour, hot bf and minions to get these things if you know the loa then yk its just a psychological game to get ahead. u have to think like her if its still troubling you imagine and keep persisting and be on that state again and again. even if you fall out just get back into it again. since regina george character is just an avator and we can all use her avator. just assume u are her then u are her.
(links)
1 , 2
these are the two links which helped me get more into the personality and make sure to see these things if u want.
all the best and good luck!

Familiar
Tumblr media
“A familiar spirit is the double, the alter ego, of an individual. It does not look like the individual concerned. Even though it may have an independent life of its own, it remains closely linked to the individual. The familiar spirit can be an animal.” -Pierre A. Riffard
Historically a familiar or sometimes called an imp was thought to be a lesser demon sent to help a witch with her spells. Commonly familiars were a gift from the devil or from another witch. Meaning a familiar was a witch’s companion, alter ego, personal demon, ect. That led to many of today’s common familiar animals to be those associated with evil or the devil. Black cats, ravens, hare, toads, rats.
Firstly, Not every witch has a familiar. Either by just never wanting one or not needing one. So keep that in mind.
A witch’s familiar, also sometimes referred to as familiar spirit, is a spirit who assists a witch in their craft and spells. They will help teach and lead a witch on their spiritual path.
They can be assigned to a witch, appear when they deem a witch is ready for them, or be gifted by another witch, usually down a family line or by a mentor.
Tumblr media
Can a pet be a Familiar?
The answer is a very simple and probably disappointing: most likely no.
Though, there are some specific situations where that isn’t the case.
It's important to know the difference between a pet and a familiar. Pets have a strong sense of energy. They may enjoy being around as a witch works because they can sense the magic in the space. But it is no more than enjoying the energy and enjoying being around someone they love.
A familiar is a fully conscious being.
They make their own decisions and are usually around to teach their witch something.
A familiar can choose to do good or evil. If they aren’t treated with respect they have been known to cast jinxes or even curse their witch.
Tumblr media
Can I pick my familiar?
No, most of the time you can’t even make them come to you.
A witch may want their familiar to be a dragon or a wolf. But no matter how badly they wish and hope that most likely won't be the case.
A familiar itself is a spirit. They can take many shapes: from animals to supernatural beings; from the largest of beasts to the smallest of insects. Some may never even take a physical form choosing to stay a spirit. And some may have a physical form but choose to appear in a spiritual form. With Familiars the possibilities are limitless.
But no matter the case, their size doesn’t dictate their power.
With this in mind it's best to avoid naming your familiar. They have a name already. Instead ask them their name. They'll answer.
A relationship with a Familiar is very beautiful. They are a spiritual companion or spiritual partner. They are a spirit that works consistently with their witch. This isn’t a spirit that is being worshiped. This is a spirit that chooses to work beside someone. A singular companion, co-worker, or friend.
It is beneficial to give a Familiar offerings, as you would give gifts to friends or family. As a way to show appreciation, say “thanks”, or just boost their energy. A witch’s bond with a familiar is a personal powerful relationship. And honoring that relationship can really do wonders.
Some simple ways to bond with a familiar
Leave them offerings.
Buy or make them a collar
If the familiar physically lives with you, You may ask if they want the collar. If not you may place the collar on your altar, shine, or place of honor for the spirit.
Carrying a piece of your familiar with you.
Having their whiskers in a jar, bones from animals of the familiars preferred shape, Keychain or jewelry depicting their image.
Spend time together
Talking, being around each other, taking time out of your day for them
Provide them protection like they provide you.
Tumblr media
For myself,
I recently acknowledged my own Familiar. This being why I wanted to write this post.
I have very dull emotions, having suffered from clinical depression during my childhood. And still actively suffering, although no longer clinically. So when I get bursts of extreme happiness, it catches my attention.
A few weeks ago, I was so suddenly overtaken with a deep feeling of awe and joy that I was almost brought to tears after seeing a crow. I love crows. Seeing them always makes me happy, but I have never reacted to one like this. I've never reacted to anything like that. The joy I felt was wild and burning, a rare feeling for me. I saw three crows that day. I noted the first two as I like them but otherwise ignored them. Since crows are very common where I'm from, I just assumed the weather was nice enough for them to be out and about again. Until the third. Reacting so extremely to one in a way I have never done before instantly caught my attention. I gave myself a few days watching the skies and trees for crows. I didn't have any intention to jump to conclusions as my emotions are not my strong suit, and again, crows are very common. But, since then, I haven't seen or heard one crow. It's back to them just being nowhere to be seen.
I took this experience as my introduction. On par with the act of a neighbor you've never officially met yet have shared a yard with for years working together on vibes alone. Suddenly, coming by with fresh cookies, a bottle of wine, and a two-person plan to take your shared garden to the next level.
Having been searching for my familiar for some time, I missed the small signs she had been giving me for years. She had been actively communicating with me and helping me along my path, and I just didn't realize. Learning Tarot was with her help, along with my studies into spirit work and death work. She has been by my side learning along with me. Only when I stopped actively seeking one out did she consider me ready for an official meeting.

So I was thinking about the whole “misogyny behind the supposed lack of interest in teenage girl Powerpuffs” statement you made and something hit me: the reason why the reboots suck is because they’re trying to squeeze edgy, Cinemasins-style teenage and adult situations and humor out of perpetually five year old girls and it makes me so mad that Craig said that because teenage girls ALREADY think that their lives end once they have boobies or are interested in girly hobbies and it would be so subversive to have a show that continues off of the “GIRLS CAN BE ANYTHING.” message of the original with “TEENAGE GIRLS CAN DO ANYTHING. THEY DON’T HAVE TO BE MEN LITE TO BE HEROES.” but instead, we get like five reboots of various levels of quality, all because he thinks teenage girls have cooties or whatever.
Oh yeah, what I said on this post! I could have given you a short answer like a normal blogger, but here is my long, rambling answer where I basically agree and get a little off track and go more in detail about the suckiness of the reboots/the suckiness of saying the girls aren't special if they're older... behind the cut. 🤣
“Teenage girls ALREADY think that their lives end once they have boobies or are interested in girly hobbies.” It's definitely not an inherent thought by any means, but I totally know what you're saying. Society and culture and the media and the internet push girls into thinking they have to become a certain kind of "mature" by a certain age and it's awful. And to say that the girls wouldn’t be “special” if they were older felt as if it was reinforcing the whole gross notion that women allegedly turn into completely different creatures at puberty and from there on out rapidly lose their worth/usefulness as they get older. To say that the girls wouldn’t or couldn’t be “special” when they grow up… yeah, the wording was pretty yikes.
I guess I should quickly clarify that I prefer Craig doing what he does best, and I'm perfectly fine with the girls continuing to be kindergarteners if the show gets rebooted or continued. And he hasn't been involved with the series since 2008, so he's not responsible for any of the content in the reboots that have already happened. I don’t believe he’s some raging sexist (…well, I hope not) either, it’s just that the way he’s said some of the things he’s said concerning this topic are kinda… ugh. Poorly communicated. It's frustrating sometimes! 😩
I get what Craig was trying to say: having the girls be ass-kicking kindergarteners is a fun and unique premise (true, and I love them that way, it's OG, baby!), and having them be teenagers or adults… well, there are already a lot of ass-kicking superheroines who are teenagers/adults. But that's such a limited view of who the girls really are. Their being kindergarteners isn’t the only thing that makes them unique compared to other superheroes/hero teams. They’re three sisters (essentially triplets) with a creator who acts as their single-parent father figure (so they have a loving and stable family life), and each one of them has distinct personalities and talents. They’re fully fleshed-out characters on their own, but they’re also incomplete if they aren’t together. How many other superheroes or superheroines are like that?
Regarding the comment he made about their “kryptonite,” I definitely think that an interesting setback (and strength!) of theirs– regardless of them being in kindergarten– is that none of the girls have alter egos, so they can never just have “normal” lives. At least Clark Kent and Diana Prince could maybe pretend to be regular people once in a while. Blossom and Bubbles and Buttercup can’t! No matter how old they become, the girls will always have to deal with their “real world” responsibilities in tandem with their “superhero” responsibilities because they don’t have to hide anything about their powers from the world. Other superheroes’ lives would end if their “normal” identity was exposed: theirs wouldn’t. And then again, no matter what unique responsibilities they’d be facing, no matter their stage in life, they’d continue to have to deal with the positives and negatives of that kind of existence, and, like I've discussed on here before, I think there are soooo many stories that could potentially be explored stemming from that. So... like... come on. Not special, my foot! It's not like their adventures would all of a sudden end or could never be just as unique as they've always been!
In the case of making a story with the girls being older, yeah, that doesn’t automatically mean you need to stuff your show with edgy, "adult" humor. You barely even have to change how they talk. They don’t have to talk about sex or comment on the latest pop culture thing to be “mature.” They don’t have to get all serious and gritty to be “mature.” Those are the kinds of things people in Hollywood think maturity is (does a certain someone who's also in Hollywood believe that, too? 👀). The problem is in the writing, in misunderstanding what the show is and who the characters are in the first place, how they deal with life to begin with, and so far it seems that the right storytellers who could tell really cool stories in that sort of setting who do understand all that haven’t come along yet.
Also, a thing that I feel is critical to getting the tone of the girls as characters right is that they exist in a universe that, while it may have exciting action and fighting and carnage, is still a very silly place. The goofiness of that universe comes with a very specific tone that has not been well replicated in these other iterations of the series. The balance of the girls' “normal” and “superhero” lives is always off-kilter (and I’m gonna be controversial… I think the live-action script didn't hit the mark but was a billion times closer to getting that balance than the 2016 reboot), and the type of humor that gets used is way off in tone (PPG humor ≠ twerking/Simpsons humor/lazy pop culture jokes/sex jokes). Plus, that small but critical dose of sincerity in the writing of the original show barely ever feels like it’s present in any of these newer iterations.
...but what do I know, I dunno, do I even get the characters? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ That's just how I feel about it all. Sorry for all these words, haha.

I've been thinking about making a post discussing various interpretations of Hyde for a while now, but I thought I'd first go into some depth about a very relevant topic: Jekyll's reliability as a narrator. Most of the book happens around Jekyll and he isn't in very much of it, but we do get to hear from him in the final chapter. The first assumption is that the account he gives is entirely accurate and conveys most of the relevant information (minus what he actually wants and gets up to). It is possible that this is true, but it's also entirely possible that he skipped over some details or lied about things and I'd like to talk about both possibilities.
I'll start off with the idea of him being entirely reliable. This does make sense. This is Jekyll's final explanation for everything to his closest friend. It makes sense that he would want to get everything out, to finally tell his friend exactly what he's been hiding from him and remove all the secrets. He would want to give Utterson some closure and it also gives him a chance to get everything off his chest. He has been quite literally living a double life for a very long time. He has also been struggling with his unacceptable desires for so much of his life. That's got to be a great weight on a person. It would probably be a relief to finally let that out somewhere. He knows he can trust Utterson and, even if he couldn't, he doesn't care what happens to him anymore. He has essentially resigned himself to death so his reputation really doesn't matter anymore. He allows Utterson to do whatever he wants with the statement so he has clearly given up. It makes sense for him to be honest. It makes sense for him to finally stop hiding and find some small relief in coming clean. These are essentially his final words to anyone ever. It makes sense for your last words to be completely true and honest, especially if they are to the person you trust most in the world.
Yet, what if he isn't? We know he doesn't reveal everything. He doesn't say at any point what his actual aim was in creating Hyde. He doesn't say what he wanted and he doesn't reveal much about Hyde's actions that Utterson didn't already know. Jekyll does still conceal things, so perhaps there is more he is hiding. As much as it makes sense for him to tell the truth, it also makes sense for him to lie. He has been so obsessed with his reputation for decades. He has kept up this illusion of perfection and went to all the trouble of splitting his soul and creating an alter ego to prevent anyone from finding out about what he really wants to do. He lied to his best friends to keep elements of himself hidden. Would he really be able to give that up now? Yes, he has accepted his fate and he allows Utterson to know that he and Hyde were the same person, but it would be difficult to actually let everything out after all this time. Jekyll thinks very highly of Utterson and he wants Utterson to like him. He wants everyone to like him, but the opinion of his close friend would be especially important. He has to tell him something, but perhaps he doesn't want to tell him everything. He refers to Hyde like another person, but perhaps he just wants Utteraon to continue to view them as separate. He talks about how bad he felt about everything and about how Hyde was truly the evil one, but perhaps that's just the way he wishes he felt. Imagine having a secret which you have never shared with anyone out of shame and fear. Could you really just switch all of that off and share it with the person whose opinion matters most? I'm not sure that I could, so I'm not sure if Jekyll could either. He also leaves it to Utterson as a letter which he could share with anyone, if he chose. Of course, he probably thinks that Utterson would keep it to himself, but he has the freedom to do what he wants with it. Reputation is everything to Jekyll and he might not be able to hand everything over to potentially destroy it.
A lot of the book is left open to interpretation. That's one of the things I love about it. I've seen people treat Jekyll's statement as the full truth of the matter, as I usually do. It is called his 'Full Statement of the Case', after all. However, I've also seen people talk about it as only partially true, an attempt to clean what little of his reputation remains. Both interpretations make complete sense with the narrative. Really, Jekyll is as reliable or unreliable as you say he is. It's fun to think about the different angles of it, what he may or may not be thinking and feeling as he writes his last words to Utterson. As I said, the things left unclear are what make the book as effective as it is and keep people talking about it so many years later.

I wanted to share a little about how I experience OSDD-1B. I don't have any blackouts, or blocks of lost time. Moreso, my alters are with me every day in various capacities, conversing, contributing, sharing perspective, and at times they may take a more active role as well.
I notice those active role moments most with Leo and Kingsley.
In Leo's case he tends to step up when I'm very overwhelmed but important shit needs doing! Leo stands taller than I tend to, his movements are purposeful, he's swift in his movements and isn't clumsy like I am. Additionally, his voice is deeper, his focus is sharper than mine is, he's able to remain calm in situations I would be a complete mess during, he can de-escalate situations effectively, and he communicates more matter-of-factly. In highly emotional situations, such as fights or conflicts, Leo is very logical and focused on keeping us safe, however that needs to look. Overall he's not one for expressing a lot of emotions of any kind (which to some comes off as cold and detached but that's not really fair to say of him in my opinion).
It's interesting to note that Leo isn't distracted in the ways that I am, and he doesn't experience the chronic back and knee pain that I do!
Meanwhile, Kingsley is the social butterfly, the confident advocate and educator. They're extremely silly, energetic, flirty, playful, confident, and can give incredible presentations with ease and little preparation required. Sometimes their ego can be a little... much haha. If they feel like they're being talked down to, undermined, or otherwise disrespected they can get pretty snarky and they don't shy away from calling people out and confronting them publicly. This happens most with cishet folks, whom they have very, very little patience for in terms of ignorance, prejudice, and cishet nonsense.
Almost everybody who has attended any presentations, workshops, or speeches from Mx. Nillin Lore, has met Kingsley. He's the one actually standing up there most of the time. I'm just the co-researcher and assistant 😂
I love them both. They've really been there for me, for the whole system, and I couldn't have made it where I am without them.
There's also Cal! The sad boi! I'll talk about him in another post because he was the first I really interacted with.

Vanny is The Entity (AKA MXES).
... I know how that sounds, but here me out-
(Long (Maybe?) post. HW2 Spoilers below!)
(This theory assumes that GlitchMimic is true.)
((Also, sorry if this is hard to understand, I'm just trying to get my thoughts out))
So. The secret ending of Help Wanted 2 is pretty out of left field.
Tumblr media
After collecting a glitching, purple coin from Mystic Hippo, the player inserts it into a Princess Quest 4 arcade machine, which the player finds earlier in their playthrough. After playing the game, and later navigating through the castle, the Player encounters the old man from the previous 3 games. The player gives their VANNI mask, and receives a Glitchtrap plushie, while the old man says that it is a fair trade.
The player then enters the Elevator from Sister Location, and rides it into a claw machine, where they have to give up their plush to Vanny. When Vanny gets the plush, she holds Glitchtrap in her hand, then squished him, causing a red cloud to billow out from her hand.
What interested me was the achievement which is connected with this ending:
Tumblr media
The wording there is.. Strange, no? It kind of reads like a program giving an output on something, instead of something a human would say.
Almost like an Antivirus giving a report after scanning a computer.
So then, I was reminded of MXES, the entity created by Gregory and Vanessa, whose main purpose is to keep the Mimic contained. I started looking between Vanny and MXES, and noticed many design similarities.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The shape of the head, being unlike any other rabbit characters in this franchise, the similar eye-shapes, and the similar ear styles. They also share similar mannerisms to Glitchtrap, even if they are opposed to him. They even both share connections to Princess Quest (MXES sharing similarities in design to the Goopbunnies, and Vanny showing up at the end of PQ4.)
But how could Vanny be MXES? Isn't she just an alter ego of Vanessa's?
.. You'd be correct. That doesn't mean she couldn't split off from her, and become her own entity, though.
In Tales From The Pizzaplex, the stories B-7, and B-7 2 tell us the story of a boy named Billy who, after watching a (strange, to me) advertisement for Freddy Fazbear's, was convinced he wanted to be a robot. He later realized that this wasn't what he actually wanted. He wound up in the hospital, where all of the modifications he made to himself were removed. However, the mass still had life in it, and was essentially its own personality.
The rest of the story doesn't matter to this theory, it just shows that what I described with Vanny could happen.
However, Vanessa didn't have any kind of modifications made to her, like Billy had. So where would Vanny end up, if she became her own entity after PQ3 was completed?
I think that she ended up in the VANNI mask/network. When Vanessa and Gregory returned to contain Glitchtrap/Mimic, they discovered that she was still there, and gave her a new purpose as MXES.
I'm not sure if I actually believe this, but I thought it was interesting to think about, and wanted to share it. If anyone has anything to say about it, please do!

I nomi alterati: diminutivi, vezzeggiativi, accrescitivi, peggiorativi/dispregiativi
Disclaimer: this subject is often rated as C2 level, so it's okay if you don't get it well at first or... even at all in this moment (depends on your Italian knowledge).
Altered nouns are used to refer to things, people, animals that, compared with the "standard version" of the same thing, person, animal, have a different characteristic (generally related to the noun's quality and quantity). e.g.: casa = house; casina = little house (nome alterato: diminutivo = smaller version of a casa).
You create the nomi alterati by adding a different suffix to your word, according on the type of alteration you need for your word (that generally can be: a noun, an adjective or an adverb). There are 4 types of nomi alterati (and possible alterations you can make): diminutivi (smaller), accrescitivi (bigger), vezzeggiativi (cuter) and peggiorativi/dispregiativi (worse/bad). -> BEWARE: no matter the type they belongs to, all altered noun can be changed in gender/number so that they relate to the actual subject/noun (animal, thing, person) you need to refer to.
DIMINUTIVI
Diminutivi are suffix that refer to a reduction in quality or quantity (also size/age) of a noun. By using them, you want to share an idea of something being smaller. The most used endings are: -ino (the most used prob.), -etto, -ello [here you find the masculine singular version, but ofc you can conjugate them in all genders and numbers, as mentioned above].
e.g. paese = village -> paesino, paesello (more common ones); paesetto (more rare) = small village
Other endings are: -icino, -icello, -olo (you can add, between the root of a noun and the diminutivo ending, the interfix: -ic- or -ol-):
e.g. posto = place -> posticino = small place (postino = postman, mail deliverer: using the interfix can help you distinguish the two, but it's not always so)
e.g. topo = mouse -> topolino/topino = little mouse (topolino may also look as a vezzeggiativo tbh: cute little mouse) [check the vezzeggiativi explanation and the mixed section at the end of this post]
Diminutivi can also used as to "offend" someone but in a lighter/cuter way? Like joking, flirting... it feels the meaning isn't as strong as if you were really angry at them. It may be used with kids too when they do/say stupid things just because it makes you/them laugh:
e.g. stupido, sciocco = stupid -> stupidino, sciocchino = little stupid person
Very commonly used are (also with different acception, as to be ironic):
e.g. attimo = moment -> attimino = little moment ("stai fermo un attimino!" = stand still for a moment! -to kids)
e.g. sconto = discount -> sconticino = little discount (when trying to get a discount, maybe it's easier to ask -and receive- a sconticino than a sconto e.g. on a bill: "...uno sconticino? *cute eyes*" = "...a little discount?")
e.g. carattere = character -> caratterino = little character or small ego (but actually the meaning is ironic here: that person has a strong will/big ego or is very fixed in their intentions: "che caratterino!")
e.g. casa = house -> casetta = cute house -> casettina = little cute house (to ironically state it's not big but it could actually be somewhere like Hollywood and have 3 pools... it's used for fun, to diminish only apparently some big/rich possession of someone else -out of jealousy/envy too, maybe)
e.g. Paolo (guy named Paolo) -> Paolino (guy named Paolo that is thin, slim or younger/a kid. TBH is can be used ironically as well to indicate a guy named Paolo but who is pretty tall and maybe plays basketball -- real story, yeah we're funny)
VEZZEGGIATIVI
You want to give an idea of something that is smaller and cute, so they generally work with diminutivi as well. The most common endings are: -etto, -uccio, -otto. It's not uncommon for vezzeggiativi and diminutivi endings to work together even not just in an implied way (as some vezzeggiativi can let you think), but also more openly.*
e.g. cavallo = horse -> cavalluccio: cute (little) horse
e.g. caldo = warm -> calduccio = nice warm (feeling/place: the right heat for you, like under the blanket in autumn or when you enter somewhere after having been around in the cold all day: "che bel calduccio!")
e.g. animale = animal -> animaletto/animaluccio = cute (little) animal
e.g. coniglio = bunny -> coniglietto = cute (little) bunny BEWARE though that geneally the vezzeggiativi are used to refer to animals' "kids" instead of diminutivi or any other specific definition: e.g. tigrotto/a = the "puppy" of a tiger (=little cute tiger). e.g. orso = bear -> orsacchiotto = little cute bear (even of plushies)
Some vezzeggiativi endings may be used also as to form peggiorativi/dispregiativi.
The ending -uzzo, may be considered a dialect version for the -uccio ending, with the same acception.
e.g. via = street -> viuzza = little cute/fascinating street
The ending -icciolo may be rarely found, for example:
e.g. porto = harbor -> porticciolo = little nice harbor
ACCRESCITIVI
Are used to give a meaning of something being bigger than it actually is. The more common endings are: -one, -accione.
e.g. uomo = man -> omaccione = huge big man (sometimes even kinda scary/with lot of muscles -- the u in the begining gets usually dropped when you make other words related to "uomo")
e.g. Stefano (guy named Stefano) -> Stefanone (huge/big, tall, strong/muscled guy named Stefano)
e.g. casa = house -> casona = big house
e.g. gatto = cat -> gattone = big cat (it could be cause it has lot of hairs, it's fat or just big) (same goes with the other way you may call a cat -more affectionate way-: micio -> micione)
PEGGIORATIVI/DISPREGIATIVI
These are generally used to give a sense of someone not being at the correct/speaker level, or to give a negative impression. They can be used not just to be mean but also to talk about ruined/dirty things and places. Some common (but sometimes rarely, especially the latters) used endings are: -accio, -aglia, -iciattolo, -icchio, -ucolo.
e.g. tipo = person/guy -> tipaccio = bad, unreliable person/guy
e.g. mostro = monster -> mostriciattolo = little terrible/annoying monster (used in books for kids for example)
e.g. professore = professor -> professorucolo = low level/unable professor
e.g. gatto = cat -> gattaccio = bad/savage/street cat
e.g. gente = people -> gentaglia = bad people, bad/unreliable group of people, outlaws...
As mentioned, some vezzeggiativi endings may be used also in a negative way.
e.g. provinciale = living in the countryside/country part of somewhere -> provincialotto = "stupid", not cultured enough (as in the past people living in the countryside weren't able to study too much)
e.g. impiegato = employee -> impiegatuccio = low level/simple employee
-----
It basically works the same way with adjectives too. eg. piccolo = little [diminutivo] piccolino = little cuter/sweeter (aww-feeling like when you see a little kitty) [vezzeggiativo] piccoletto = little cuter (when you see someone looking a little shorter than you; beware it can have also an offensive acception according on the context) [accrescitivo piccolone and dispregiativo piccolaccio aren't used: something little is usually nice but you can accompany it with negative adjectives]
-----
-> *You can generally play with all these suffixes: for example, you can add a diminutive suffix to other suffix so to create different acceptions for words, like:
e.g. storia = story -> storiella = nice story -> storiellina = nice short story e.g. tavolo = table -> tavolino = small table -> tavolinetto = small cute table e.g. fiore = flower -> fiorello = cute flower (but generally not used also cause he's a person to us LOL -famous Italian TV/radio host) -> fiorellino = cute little flower
(-ello, -etto, -otto: these vezzeggiativi endings are some of the most common endings to be added before diminutivi)
-> People's names can be altered also when you use a shorten version of the name:
e.g. Rosa -> Rosina -> Rosella -> Rosetta ** [beware: some of these altered names can be the real name of a person too, like all these for example. Ofc you can also call someone younger/little/cute altering their name: e.g. Marco -> Marchino (little Marco), Marcolino (little cute Marco) -these are not real names-]
e.g. Giuseppe -> Giuseppino (little Giuseppe) -> Beppe (shortened version) -> Beppino (little Beppe) -> Pino (shortened version) -> Peppe (shortened version) -> Peppino (little Peppe) ->Pinin (little Pino - Regional) [So yeah, Robin Hood's Little John would be Giovannino for us :)]
-----
-> ** BEWARE OF THE FALSI ALTERATI NOUNS!
Not just some people's names, but also common nouns can look as altered nouns but aren't (unless it's clear you're using them as so in a specific context):
e.g. bottone = button (it's not the accrescitivo/bigger version of botte: barrel. If you have doubts check the meanings, but also check the noun's gender as in this case: IL bottone is masculine, while LA botte is feminine; if I had to talk about a huge barrel, I'd keep it feminine and use: LA bottona -despite it would be really weird to say it and we would probably never use it unless we were joking like "Woah, what a huge barrel!" -> "wow che botte enorme!" -more common- VS "wow, che bottona *enorme*!", yeah I'd probably specify I'm referrin to its size anyway)
e.g. canino = canine; it's not just as "relating to dogs" or "a small dog" (especially in central Italy, together with "canetto"); it's also a regular noun to call a teeth type.
e.g. lampone = raspberry; lampo = lightning (unrelated)
e.g. merletto = lace ; merlo = black bird (unrelated, unless you're talking about a very little bird you're looking at)
-----
YOUR TURN. Try to make an altered name version (one for each type), for each of the following nouns:
- casa = house - micio = cat (kitty) - tavolo = table
Solutions:
noun -> diminutivo, vezzeggiativo, accrescitivo, dispregiativo casa -> casina, casetta, casona, casaccia micio -> micino, micetto, micione, miciaccio tavolo -> tavolino, tavolinetto, tavolone, tavolaccio

@prideraiised replied to your post:
Brian is eating a bag of chips. "…what's there to fix…?" He doesn't get it…she's already so perfect??
Tumblr media
"Clever boy." It's enough to bring back a churr to her words, at the least, for whatever that matters. For Miri, it could be pleasure. Or, it could also be the same ego that she always shows, a more pleasurable sort of condescending. Either way, it's Miranda as she usually is, which is an improvement. "That is exactly what I say! Do not misunderstand me, I am a humble princess who understands where I lie in relation to my people... But I can hardly say there is anything within myself nor all of my charms which any reasonable persons would wish to alter! Am I not that which I should already be? That which anyone should wish of being?"

Fire Emblem Engage: The Four Hounds, Execution and Intent
got past ch23 of engage, gameplay wise its a fun enough chapter using map environmental damage gimmicks in a way that generally works. as you can tell from the title though, thats not why im making this post. I'm making this post because spoiler warning:
this is where the four hounds and the plotlines tied to that whole group basically culminate. id be surprised anyways if anything more comes of them, but at this point i feel confident enough at their part in the story to comment on it.
under the cut
the tl:dr of it all is that the four hounds are a villain quartet idea i love in concept, but find lacking in execution in regards to their place in the story.
but what do i mean by that? well, we'll start by going over the concept of what engage wants the four hounds to be. at the bare minimum the four hounds are our evil quartet/mini group for the game, a timed honored tradition not just in fe but across media of all sorts. in terms of general archetypes we have
zephia: evil sexy female group leader and bosses right hand mauvier: the honorable obviously going to heel turn or die tragically guy griss: the crazy one in it ostensibly for the lols possibly for another reason marni: small bratty child who was duped into it with candy
and if they were just the bare minimum I probably wouldnt have much more to say on the matter, but the game does give them some extra narrative teeth and its something that kinda flew past my head for the majority of the game because it didnt feel that important. we will get to that.
but essentially, ya know how in ch10/11, the snippet of the scene marketing decided to use to tease the four hounds pre release? when zephia notes how the four hounds are 'like a family'? shes not just saying that she literally means that, its their 'unique selling point' so to speak as an evil group. aside from their evil archtypes you can also map them like this
zephia: mommy mauvier: daddy griss: son marni: daughter
and to give the game credit where its due, when that realization did finally hit i'll admit, i appreciated the four hounds and what was going on with them a lot more. the irrational attachment mauvier and marni display to zephia despite how awful of a person she is makes sense, why mauvier is being so weirdly passive about all the things the hounds are doing especially to veyle despite clearly taking issue with it makes sense, why marni wants to go back to the hounds and mauvier fuckin encourages her to go makes sense.
a lot of what im mentioning there is pretty clearly suppose to be irrational behavior taken for emotional reasons of course. the game presents it as such, but it was always the context of why the characters were acting irrationally that got lost. the deathbed clarification between griss and zephia does clear up a lot of that confusion, atleast for me, and brings some interesting weight to previous storybeats. the four hounds are a family, but a clearly dysfunctional one serving a dark god.
and it tracks with what in retrospect are the wider themes of engage, family and what defines the individual in relation to them. veyles struggle for recognition from her father sombron to the point of believing in his lies until forcibly confronted with the truth, veyles evil alter ego being the complete opposite of veyle in every way except in the desire to be sombrons daughter, ivy and hortensia having had a loving father in hyacinth until his obsession with the fell dragon saw him willing to abandon his own daughters for power, alcrysts and diamants father being described as a paradoxical fierce warrior and gentle family man, alears relation to lumera and how they decide to be family by choice instead of family by circumstance etc.
which is why i will ultimantly say that watching griss and zephias death scene chocked me ever so slightly [in that good emotional release way] with griss providing a gentle reprieve in their dying moments, with a genuinely kinda beautiful final shot of their corpses lying next to each other with griss holding on to zephias hand in the end.
how, fucking, ever.
you'll notice how when describing their death cutscene i pretty much exclusively focus on griss leaving zephia out of the descriptor entirely despite the cutscene being just as much about her as griss. and thats because well i can definitely understand and appreciate the concept intellectually
execution is another matter
were introduced to the four hounds fairly early on in engage, over ten chapters before their whole plotline culminates. and right off the bat i'll note that the screen time for these chucklefucks is kinda wasted in a lot of instances. when they do appear in story they usually could just be replaced with bit villains, and i mean that from both a gameplay and story perspective but for this post story is the more important aspect.
so! the distribution and utilization of their screen time is already wonky and uneven. that'd hurt things even if it was executed really well. but, as i said it isn't and i can point to two primary factors in that matter that i feel needed some serious tweaking to get this to work
the interaction of the hounds as a family unit
and zephia herself
so, starting with the easier problem [in my opinion], the hounds and the time they spend interacting. if the idea were suppose to be grasping is that the hounds are like a family unit, if a very fucked up one, then its important that when the hounds are on screen interacting with each other that their interactions always carry a very distinctive family dynamic to them. and this is the first hurdle engage trips over with the hounds because frankly they dont.
dont what? dont interact all that often as a group, dont interact like a family. as stated their screen time is already wonky, but even when the group is all together on screen is very heavily weighted either to zephia talking mad shit, or to evil veyle/veyle interactions. that leads us into the second part of this problem, and its that even when the four hounds are all together interacting they never really feel like a family, even an off brand one. they feel like evil coworkers in an organization brought together as colleagues to do missions as they try and impress their superior for individual merit.
and thats a problem, cause if we are suppose to feel sad for their 'family' when it starts fraying at the edges, when the ideological and moral weight and contradictions of their actions and individual perspectives start clashing and tear the family asunder, suppose to feel bad when mommy and daddy start fighting because mommys an evil bitch who stabbed their daughter, then they need to feel like a family right from the get go and in every interaction and appearance they make.
which brings us to what i would consider the bigger problem. zephia herself. why is she a problem? because shes the biggest impediment outside of screen time and dialogue distribution inn getting this group to work and feel like an actual family. and screen time and dialogue distribution? giving the four hounds room to interact and feel like a family? thats a writing issue sure but a fairly easily fixable one you just have to give and write them more lines of interacting like a family.
zephia however simply does not work character wise as a mother figure for the four hounds family unit. even if you tried to get them to interact more like a family unit youd run into the problem that shes written exclusively as sombrons evil sexy secretary. and yes secretaries can be mothers but thats not the point.
in order to get this idea of the four hounds as a family unit across, and not the facade of one but an actual pseudo sort of family unit that were suppose to feel for as a family unit, then you need to have characters capable of displaying affection and compassion for each other. and zephia just cant do that the way shes written, itd be like trying to write petrine [or aversa really, who zephia shares way more writing dna with] in a domestic family situation. they're both characters that are too outwardly cruel and cold to realistically manage that without feeling either disingenious, as zephia felt the entire time i was playing whenever she mentioned the four hounds as a family unit which is part of why it didnt stick with me at first, or just feeling out of character.
and unfortunately the only way you could practically fix that, is by rewriting zephias character to one that would fit what the story wants to convey. at which point she becomes a different character, just one sharing zephias face.
best solution i can think of is to shift zephia from a aversa type as it were to more of an eremyia type if that makes sense. cause eremyias big thing in the fe12 assassin sub plot is how she outwardly presents the facade of a kindly matron of a church orphanage well underneath shes a cruel and cold taskmaster of an assassin cult for gharnefs objectives. if zephia had at least been somewhat similar, presenting a wholesome motherly facade before letting the teeth out to achieve sombrons objectives, then i feel things would have hit a lot better in regards to the four hounds and their plotlines.
it would make more sense why the group stays together despite the horrific shit they do, it would hit harder when the cracks form, it would be more shocking when marni gets stabbed by zephia, more impactful when mauvier declares his intent to kill zephia, and more heartbreaking when zephia belatedly realizes she wasted her opportunity for a real family of sorts by taking the four hounds for granted and similarly more heartbreaking when griss lets the facade drop for a moment to comfort zephia before passing away himself.
but... they didnt. or atleast it doesnt come across that way in the english translation. and thats why i consider it a really good concept, with poor execution.

This is a Sans centered glimpse for my story Cupcake. Given some of the themes I don't recommend checking it out if you're sensitive to certain topics. While this post could be considered tame or mild, the main story certainly isn't so please do NOT force yourself to engage if that's a possibility.
For those that do follow the story and have an interest behind some of Sans' thought processes this is for you! I posted this in the comments on the fic (which is where I'll be posting them first and always in order to keep it all together) but I know not everyone reads those so I'm also sharing it here again. I hope this satisfies some curiosities as well as peaks them ^^
Takes place during Ch. 12 during the later half so spoilers warning.
Word Count: 1,251 Rating: M TWs: Mentions of Death/Murder, Foul Language, Awfulness
Sans isn’t a monster of pride. He never considered himself talented at any one particular thing or skilled enough to consider boasting of what he could or couldn’t do, even before the head wound.
Before everything went to literal hell.
However, he did like to think he was, at the very least, perceptive.
When Asgore was still around—standing tall and proud (albeit a little downtrodden) upon his throne, Sans did more than his fair share contributing to the kingdom. Aside from his many jobs and countless attempts at keeping up the moral of his fellow monsters just as his brother did, there was only one role Sans had been required to fill.
The Judge.
He had been the final line between salvation and the eradication of their world. A barrier against an unknown threat, an anomaly. Something that Asgore and Alphys both had been just as aware of as he had.
The three of them knew of what could happen, what could go so very wrong, even if they didn’t retain memories and only a very vivid, visceral, sense of deja vu (something that Sans hated, and even to this day hated all the more for how foggy his memory could get when hungered, how deranged and near paracusic he turned).
An anomaly could alter and erase time.
Erase them.
Together they concluded that this anomaly would have to be of human origins. The deja vu and the printouts from their machines only ever became sporadic when a human fell, and the rise of DT levels throughout the underground during their attempted passages correlated.
So Alphys set up the cameras: to watch.
Asgore wandered the kingdom: to hunt (before the guilt became too much and he hid away in his garden).
And Sans stood at the end of the hall: to guard.
Because he was so perceptive, he was to measure and compare DT to LV, to find the anomaly and weigh it as a threat, read its intentions all while allowing it to play ‘the game’ as it pleased. So long as it never stepped out of line.
Suffice to say all of that stopped mattering eventually. Became forgotten in the face of betrayal, death, and thirst.
But Sans had never stopped being The Judge.
He might’ve lost some of that sharpness that made him somewhat qualified for the job due to the famine, sure—frustratingly true to admit—but he still was able to read and deduce in a more than normal capacity.
Which is why as he glances down at your hunched shoulders he has to take a moment.
Sans has to physically stop himself from reacting at seeing how dim your soul is when a second before it had been shining that bright solar illumination that he always has to take a mental step back from in fear of how consuming it is.
Souls were naturally bright.
The magic, intentions, and emotions that composed them always gave them an ethereal glow that could flare vibrant depending on how high those emotions were stoked, or simmer down low if impacted in an ill received way that made the coloration and overall appearance look crystalline and faded.
Your soul however…
Flares the brightest that Sans has ever seen.
Especially when interacting with him. He wouldn’t deny it was a bit of an ego boost how strong your inner light would become simply because he held you during a show or smiled at you.
It was mesmerizing, really.
Enthralling.
To see how his dodge of kissing you has affected you so strikes him in a way he doesn’t expect.
Greed
Thirst
Hunger
Where was the light?
The longer Sans stares, caught between fulfilling his promise to Aliza—to be good, he promised to be good for her—and giving into the sudden, undeniable urge to return that glow to its former glory, his soul quakes.
There’s static, a glitching malformation appearing where once his perception used to hold the inner workings and dialogue of the soul. He hasn’t been able to see words in a long…long time.
And there’s only one; just as broken and scattered as he is.
* f ͬ ͣg ͥl ͤ
He struggles, tries to joke and reason with you, and all it does is make your soul darker and darker.
The word vanishes.
You tremble, as if afraid and about to break.
…And who was he really? Trying to pretend he doesn’t want to kiss you just as bad. Doesn’t want to take and feel that warmth behind your ribs that burns so wonderfully as if only for him. He’s already crossed lines, gotten so close to feeling it so many times but choosing instead to linger in the wisps of its fringes.
A hand on your shoulder, his teeth by your ear…
He’s technically already felt it once, when you’d been pulled close to his chest upon waking (from a rather dirty dream) and it’d stunned the embarrassment, shame, and anger right out of him. He’d felt a soul warm for him before, many times, enjoyed its heat. Compared to yours, they were nothing. Your soul scorched, was painful enough it turned to a deranged pleasure.
Sans has tried to forget.
But he doesn’t really want to.
Because on top of that you were smart, funny. Cute in a very endearing way with how you cluttered the table with literary texts and inquired about things in a genuine attempt to understand how something functioned. You were a thinker, an eager learner. Adorable in how you reminded him of Pap by asking for a bedtime story and bathed him in nostalgia as he read to you in colorful voices.
Sometimes…you made him forget who he was now.
Sometimes…you made him feel like how he used to be.
A darkness sits heavy in his ribs. That last thought isn’t true and he knows it. If he truly felt that way he wouldn’t be so much as stalling on how to handle this situation. He’d reject you, pat you on the head, and walk away.
He’d wait.
To see if that was even a possibility down the line and if he would still be interested.
Just as you’re still waiting now, shaking.
…so dim, so dark…
Fragile.
...waiting has only ever fucked him over.
He waited for the anomaly to make a move. He waited for Toriel to come to her senses and rule the kingdom again. He waited for Alphys and the others to try helping him find a solution to the CORE. He waited to kill until monsters started dusting left and right, until he feared even his brother would share their fate. He waited to eat until an alternative was found to human meat. He waited, and waited, for something, anybody.
He waited for seven goddamn years.
Sans’ soul goes rampant, begs to be fed.
Just one kiss, just a taste.
His promise to Aliza goes right out the proverbial window, forgotten just as is his morals.
He reasons: why should he subject you to the pain of waiting?
“...just one kiss, got it?"
The gradual build of your soul as it shines like a dying star before erupting into phantasmal wonder is enough that Sans feels floored, like his knees are about to give out as his soul pounds in his skull with the deadly beat of a hunter’s gait upon the forest floor.
It’s automatic how he returns your smile, outlined in the glow of your soul, with his own.
"k, let's go somewhere more private."
