Soldier Poet King SBI

I was sitting in bed, probably with my cat, watching I wanna say a birthday celebration stream with Karl, Foolish, Tina, and Brooke one year ago tonight. I was laughing and stimming and getting some screenshots, it was great, then a notification popped up. "Technoblade uploaded a video."

I quietly but audibly apologized for having to leave because he never uploads, even if the title did make me a little confused and nervous.

I thought it was a joke until about halfway through the letter. I kept saying "wait." I took it off full screen and refreshed the comments, saw curses and apologies and condolences, then refreshed again just in case. I heard "because I love you guys" and I couldn't hear anything anymore.

I cried so hard I felt sick. I couldn't catch my breath. I could see my iPad on the bed in front of me still playing the video but I wasn't watching or listening.

I have several stuffed animals, and I've just never named them or associated them with anything, with all but three. A septiceye from Jack's merch, a grey sheep named Friend, and a pink and white Squishmallow rabbit that makes me thinks of Origins. I don't really remember anything from that night after except holding that rabbit.

Grief is such a weird thing. There are so many good moments where I laugh until my stomach hurts. But there's also moments where I just emotionally and sometimes physically freeze. Watching videos, stims I've picked up from or because of him, seeing fanart.

It's beautiful and it's weird, that there will continue to be things, not directly from him, but about him, and I feel honored that these things happened at all, before and still.

I didn't think that would be so long, sorry about that, but thank you for letting me write it, and sorry if it made you emotional in any way, but thank you for reading it.

See you later, Techno, we miss and love you so much, we'll be alright, I hope you're resting easy out there.

I mean a couple curses cause Tommy's in it if you care but no other warnings

The dull creak of wooden porch breathing then settling as the rocking chair I sat on lulled above it. A soft medley of chirps and trills from a variety of birds in the surrounding trees, an array of stark browns and calming greens, or high above in the sea of cerulean and cornflower with candy floss dots of porcelain. The occasional mumble or soft grunt of moo's from fenced in landscape. The gentle rush and subtle scent of a nearby stream. My personal symphony.

The sound of metal against metal brought me back.

"What the fuck, man, can't let me have one win, can you?"

"Afraid not."

"Come on, dude, I'm trying."

"Get better."

"What do you think I'm doing!"

"Not being better."

"Wiiiiiiiiiiiil!"

Wilbur was sitting under a tree and started playing his guitar louder as a response.

I saw Tommy move to tackle the older in my peripherals, but Techno moved to the side, before pinning his opponent to the earth with his slightly dull blade, blonde curls bouncing slightly as they peeked from beneath his helmet as he landed, the victor's own a color not unlike bubblegum or strawberry ice cream in wisps beneath his own, slightly unkept from the activities.

"Alright, settle down, be nice." I said in the direction of those dueling, rocking chair creaking slightly from the pressure of standing up, moving in the direction of gentle guitar strums.

"Come over here with Wil and I, I have something to show you."

"Whatcha got there, Dadza?" Asked Tommy, head tilting forward in question towards the slightly fraying book.

"Come over and find out, mate." I pat the ground at either side as a gesture to join.

Tommy sat at one end next to Wilbur, who promptly pulled him into a side cuddle, Techno sat at my other side, a bit more reserved on affection, but leaning in a tad to see the book in my hands, the cover read "making memories."

I opened to the first page, which held a photo of a small boy, hair mostly straight and dusty brown, about ten years before becoming the color it is now, he was holding a sword someone helped make out of cardboard, making a face as intimidating as a toddler could manage.

"Look at the little Technoblade!" Wilbur cooed in a higher octave. Techno began to curl into himself and his face slowly deepened in a shade of embarrassment.

"None of that, mate, because you see, that weapon of cardboard would become one of metal in a short matter of years, he would become a soldier in a sense, protecting the ones he holds closest to his chest, verbally and physically, a hero in and out of his home."

He adjusted himself to sit straighter, and brushed the pieces of hair from the front of his face, a whisper of a smile found itself on his features as I turned the page.

A boy, with a pile of muddy colored curls, mostly brushed to his right side, and wire rimmed glasses just on the side of being too big, smiled with closed lips and shining dimples.

"Wilby!"

Tommy stated brightly, Wilbur brought him into a closer cuddle.

"Right you are, and those glasses would soon come to fit him, and he would really start to find his voice, metaphorically, not long after this was taken if I'm correct. His already strong and bright imagination would scream and run and paint the world. He will be a poet, a musician, a singer, the list keeps growing, he knew then and knows still how to slay one with his tongue, an artist from the day he entered this earthside."

He adjusted the same shape of glasses he's grown attached to since the start that sit on his face, and brushed slender fingers along the neck of his instrument lightly, I turned the page again.

A boy, a mop of curly hair like sunshine and dandelions, blooms of freckles on his nose and cheekbones, a smile so bright and brilliant it reached the corners of his eyes, a gap indicating a missing tooth on display.

"You were so proud, runt." Techno stated. Wilbur reached to ruffle the still unruly curls of the boy the conversation surrounded.

"Course I was, bitch, now I've got these bad boys." He grinned and pointed to the tracks of metal across both rows of teeth.

"Give it time, Toms, you'll be rid of those in due time. This kid with hair like gold and gaps in his teeth will become a ruler, a glue of sorts to those who have the honor of becoming close with him, his spirit as bright as the sun and energy magnetic, can only continue to grow and roam wild and free."

Sun glistening off braces as he smiled, eyes just as crinkled as in the photo, blossoming freckles just as apparent.

"You heard the man, kid's a ruler, think that means he deserves a crown, now if you'd be so kind as to show me where it is, Technoblade."

"Not a chance, Theseus."

"What about you then, Phil?"

"What about me, mate?"

"We all got these names and stories, what about you, why didn't you get anything?"

Wilbur questioned, his head almost touching my shoulder to admire the pages of the book in my lap, eyes sparkling with wonder and curiosity.

Time stalled in that moment, the three surrounding me having seemingly gone back in time as we huddled together and reminisced. To the days where hair looked a little different, where faces were a little chubbier, where voices were a little higher, where bodies weren't taller than my own.

"I'm more than alright being the narrator and the reader of your own stories."

We continued to flip through the album, commenting on the majority, laughter joined part in the symphony.

so because of the news about techno (even tho it's been around 12 have since the video rn)

like I really want to cry because like he was such a big comfort and he was my comfort stream

but I am unable to cry (and kinda don't wanna) because I like to hide my emotions and have to bottle it up a lot before it spills over and I cry

and I refuse to cry because I'm wearing lash extensions and the glue makes your eyes sting if you cry (I learned that the hard way)

but uh... yeah

hope you're doing okay with the news and just doing okay in general

I'm really sorry :( I know he was a comfort for so many people and things will be different without him. as cryptic as this sounds, I'm not shocked bc I've known a few people who have passed away from cancer in the last year or so and a few other people who have cancer currently so everyday I've been expecting to hear bad news like this.

what an absolute legend bc this man tricked the whole internet into thinking he had a different name (iconic) and is selling death related merch and that's so funny to me like man really was like "why not capitalize on my inevitable death to benefit my family and cancer research?" and I love that like that's so funny and makes it easier knowing he seemed like he kept it lighthearted and positive even when he knew things weren't getting better.

sorry to everyone who loved techno and who looked to him as comfort. it's okay to be upset and grieve, don't listen to the people who say you didn't know him. it's still a loss and still sad and tragic. but don't let his death keep you down for too long. grieve as much and as long as you need in whatever way you need, but then get up and keep going bc he'd probably call you a big cringe nerd if he knew you were crying over him for months /lh /j i hope that doesn't sound insensitive i'm just joking i mean he did say "so long nerds" so i mean

I would personally get the good game one, because I assume it’ll be limited? You can always get the Argo one another time. I had to get the Argo one because the GG was sold out but in thinking I’ll purchase the gg one tomorrow when I get paid again.

Also the quality is AMAZING it’s truly so soft and thick I love it so much

Thoughts

I don't know what to do right now so I'ma just talk about random shit.

My leg was bouncy because I have too much energy, really wanna go on a late night walk right nowwwwww BUT I CANNTTTTT.

Living in a shit neighborhood and being a miner (IN MINECRAFT DUH) and a biological female really fucking sucks sometimes.

Reminds me of this story one time-

TW: Mentions of near kidnap, knives.

So one time my sister went on a late night walk and she was walking forever and got lost. She started getting nervous so she started messaging me, right? The sister in question is four years older than me, I believe this story was...Two years ago? Or so? I don't remember exactly, but anyway, so she was walking around she was lost, it was really late at night. But she did bring a knife with her, she has a knife for self defense purposes. And so, as she was messaging me, she told me she saw a van and she's seen it multiple times already driving past her. And she started getting really scared and I started getting really worried because- THAT IS MORE THAN A HORROR MOVIE/CRIME SHOW BEGINNING SCENE THAN ANYTHING IF I'VE SEEN ONE- And well, I kept trying to keep her calm and asking her about where she was and if there was anybody around, there wasn't. There was also no like businesses or anything around so, this was a scary situation. Eventually, she said the van was slowly driving up towards her, so she put her knife in her hand. And to this day, we assume the glint of the knife or whatever scared that van off because they sped off and didn't bother her the rest of the night, or ever again as far as I know. She got home safe. True story.

What else can I talk about?

Oh!

I'm the kind of person who talks about how broke they are and shit and complains about it (because it's funny), and then if someone tries to buy me something, I will immediately refuse and get really guilty. Unless it's consumable. I fucking love food and sweets and drinks, okay? I'm a sucker for them, though it still might take some convincing sometimes.

Very few people actually know this, but when I was little, before I got asthma (which was in first grade), I actually loved sports.

Especially soccer, or football depending on where you're from lol.

Anyway, I actually lowkey wanted to play soccer for school or something if that was somehow possible or if I could.

Because I really loved running and soccer was just so fun.

Then, my mom ignored the fact I'm allergic to cigarettes and smoked in our house quite a lot.

Got asthma, no longer enjoy physical activity, started loathing most sports, and yeah.

I love hiking and swimming though. Except I can't swim, true story.

I also like rollerskating but I haven't been very much so I'm not too good.

Basketball and volleyball are the only interesting sports to me now, but I don't bother actually learning how to understand it soo....Yeah

I am to this day pissed that Allegiant literally didn't explain about the shipwreck that was in the other two Divergent movies (divergent and insurgent), and I specifically read the books to figure out WHAT THAT SHIP WAS ABOUT. And you know what? IT DIDN'T EVEN MENTION A FUCKING SHIP IN ANY OF THEM. I'M PISSED. WHAT WAS THAT SHIP ABOUT HUH??? HUH???

To this day I can't get over it, it's been years (2-4) since I finished the movie series and it's only been a year or so since I finished the books but still- Fucking pissed.

My two favorite flowers are flowers and roses but I love dandelions and just about any flower.

I've had a baby minecraft pig stuffed animal for as long as I can remember and named him Porkins in respect of the Yogscast series playing on the adventure map: The Last Potato but am planning on figuring out how to make a crown and renaming him Porkins-Blade or something in dedication to Techno as well because I was never able to afford his merch and I don't know if it's still possible to get, or if I'll ever have money to afford it if it is. Because the little drawing I did was not enough respect in my opinion.

My favorite youtubers when I was younger were Jacksepticeye, Markiplier, Pewdiepie (but mostly when he was playing with Marzia), the Yogscast (mostly Lewis & Simon), and I think that's all I really watched? My brother tried to get me to watch Soot House, but he always dissed anything I liked (unless we both liked it), so I spite the things he tries to show me most of the time, to this day. It took me so long to finally watch Wilbur Soot because of that, Quackity too.

I spent most of my elementary school days playing Minecraft (first the demo over and over, then the Xbox360 version), Skyrim, Oblivion, and a few other games...While also watching Minecraft videos (Sky does Minecraft, stampy long nose, captain sparklez, dantdm, popularmmos, Minecraft parodies), mostly Minecraft parodies though. I loved Minecraft parodies with a passion, it was scary.

I still watch Markiplier and Jacksepticeye, and the Yogscast occasionally, but Markiplier is my favorite now. It used to be Jacksepticeye, and before that the Yogscast because Minecraft was my life and I loved their adventure maps and yoglabs and shit.

I didn't really understand social media for the longest time, not really knowing it existed because, I just didn't have a phone or an iPad for the longest time and didn't care for social media. I still don't care for it too much, but I do indulge in it now.

In elementary school my favorite class was math, when sixth grade happened, I no longer thought that.

My favorite food is potatoes (most kinds), and my mom thinks that's because I have a lot of Irish blood from both sides of my family, but I was born in America so I disagree, believing it is just because potatoes are holy and delicious.

When I was little I wanted to be a singer not realizing that I'd have to be famous for that and when I did I no longer wanted to be a singer

Nowadays I want to be a music writer/musician, content creator, photographer, artist, and mostly writer. But I don't want to get big, just big enough to inspire people. That's what I really want to do, help people and bring beauty to their world.

I also want to be a psychologist/therapist/counselor or English teacher, but they're mostly backup plans.

I plan on getting a PhD/doctorate in psychology and maybe English (at least what a BA in creative writing), but not just for a backup plan, also because I like the idea of being called a doctor and I really like psychology + I like writing so I might as well know a lot about English, right?

When I was little I wanted to be a profiler or private detective but when I thought harder about it I decided against it because I don't think I'd handle that kind of thing well

I've always hated blood and I don't know why, I hate that specific monthly occurrence with a burning passion.

My favorite fruits are grapes and apples but I only like certain apples because some taste gross and I can only explain it as they taste/feel bubbly and it's just disgusting, and I don't like super sour grapes or grapes with seeds.

My favorite vegetable is corn + potatoes but I always forget potatoes are a vegetable, I just think of them as their own thing.

I joined the DSMP community around the time of Tubbo and Ranboo's meetup, and when the benchtrio meetup, that's when I decided I wanted to check out the community.

I have always wanted to watch Minecraft Manhunt's after seeing an edit and not knowing who it was about, but I spite things that are popular for no reason in particular.

My first contact with the DSMP fandom either technically came with Wilbur or Quackity before the fandom existed but their content wasn't entertaining to me at the time because I can never focus on things for long, even though I can totally do that, I honestly don't know why they didn't entertain child me. Maybe I just preferred other content back then.

I jump from thing to thing as a coping mechanism and my "obsession" never usually lasts more than a year but the DSMP has already lasted a little over that, so I have a feeling that this is going to be like Markiplier, Jacksepticeye, Skyrim, and Minecraft. They'll stay for good no matter how much I might end up hating it (I won't).

I love(d) ds games, specifically drawn to life, but the second game was the one I finished and am still yet to finish the first because it is much harder, and I will always love the games.

One of my favorite cartoons (before I got to watch adventure time/gravity falls) was team umizoomie or whatever the fuck, the freshbeat band, and that yogabagaba one. Umizoomie one because of the math, the band one because of the music, and the gaba gabba one because it was funny.

I have always had a slight interest in burning things, but you'd never be able to tell because it was usually quenched by making smores. Now it is quenched by randomly burning things with bad memories or with a lot of emotion (poems, pictures of my father, etc)

My father shortly left my mother after my first birthday because he was threatened by my grandfather to pay rent because they were living in his basement at the time. He sends a lot of child support from time to time, or none at all. He is supposedly the worst person my mom has dated before and that makes me feel like I might become a terrible person.

I always got really good grades, still do for a matter of fact, but my biggest weakness was always homework. Not even forgetting, sometimes it would be finished and in my fucking backpack, and I'd just never take it out. LIKE WHAT THE HECK MINI ME???

I've always struggled with sleeping for as long as I remember. When I was little I'd wake up before the fucking sun to do whatever that day, and I'd always struggle with restlessness when trying to go to sleep + jumpiness, which I'd try to quell with reading, or doing workbooks or playing, or staying up watching youtube videos or playing games, but my mom assumed it was just me trying to stay up late. it was in fact, not, it was me not being able to fucking sleep.

In second grade the thing I obsessed over ended up being the titanic and i'd fall asleep watching documentaries about it because it was so fascinating to me, I don't even know why. I could state multitudes of facts about it, but I can no longer.

I love frogs and toads and geckos.

My favorite animals are cats.

I love foxes, trash pandas, pandas, and red pandas, and just animals.

The chromebook is about to die so I guess that's all for tonight Tumblr, hope you enjoyed lmao? I was bored.

the great adventures of y/n tommy tubbo ranboo & others are mentioned - tommy won’t go home

this is part 14 to the great adventures series

an: I tried, days are a social construction on the tarosin blog… also i’m back baby <3

from the moment you were forced awake by tubbo streaming with ranboo, Tommy began sending several messages as in his own words you ‘weren’t answering him quick enough’, probably because you had only just woken up and had no idea what day or time it was.

Tommy: y/n

Tommy: y/n were going out soon I've decided so answer me

Tommy: y/n wake up

y/n: heh? I’m going nowhere I’m tired

Tommy: I’m sending you a ticket make sure you meet me there

it was around now you had the feeling you were going to be stuck with Tommy for a while and you had no idea what to expect. an hour later tubbo stopped streaming so you took this as an opportunity to say your goodbyes to tubbo and ranboo explaining you had no idea what was happening as Tommy refused to explain but you’d probably be back later so they don’t lock you outside like last time

“don’t smirk at me ranboo just because you’re tall doesn’t mean I can’t take you down”

“mhm sure yep”

“y/n you’re going to be late we’ll see you later”

soon enough you were with Tommy who finally decided to inform you of what was happening

“we’re going to go annoy George”

“great idea Tommy let’s go”

the pair of you stood at the door waiting for George to answer, the look on George's face is something you’ll never forget.

“Hello Tommy, is that y/n what are you doing here”

“Nice to see you too… the fuck”

a few minutes later you and Tommy were sat next to George when you found a rubber duck and started making it squeak annoying the others well that was until Tommy took it and started doing the exact same thing you were doing

“I now understand why you looked pissed George”

during the stream, you were sat in between the pair George looked at you and you nodded. a few seconds later George threw the rubber duck hitting Tommy, the pair of you left not long after that event and made your way to the hotel after calling tubbo to explain what was happening.

the next day you and Tommy met up with tubbo ranboo and George at a shopping centre where you were all almost immediately met with several people asking for photos and the chance to talk to you all, you hid behind ranboo until the crowd grew smaller. it didn’t take long for everyone to notice the piano before you had time to process what just happened tubbo ran to the piano dragging you with him accidentally pushing ranboo in the process

“SORRY RANBOO”

the pair of you began playing the piano Tommy joining shortly after. time flew by the five of you spent the rest of your time shopping and just enjoying each other’s company, before you knew it, it was time to get the train. you laughed at tubbo falling asleep on the window however karma quickly caught up as you ended up falling asleep on ranboos shoulder ranboo laughed quietly to himself not wanting to wake up you or tubbo

“I swear its always y/n and tubbo who fall asleep”

“its been a long day y/n couldn’t sleep in the hotel they kept mentioning something about ghosts I don’t know man they must have been watching too many horror films”

“mhm probably”

soon enough you were with the others, minx quickly pulled you into a hug

“Nice tattoo”

“I did it for money it was a sub-goal”

you and tubbo stood with Tommy looking at the ferret

“why’s it so long”

“tubbo does it look like I study zoology I play Minecraft for a living”

the next day you were at the beach, having only had a few hours of sleep the previous night it was safe to say you weren’t in the best mood, you sat next to ranboo occasionally falling in and out of sleep, ranboo kept an arm around you pulling you into his side making sure you were safe and didn’t hit your head on the rocks when you fell asleep. you were woken up by tubbo walking on something which he clearly shouldn’t be. eventually, you all made it back to tubbos house, Tommy and tubbo were in the kitchen while ranboo practised for mcc and you were asleep in the room you had been sharing with ranboo whilst he’s in the Uk.

the next day you all went out on another adventure, at this point you had no idea what was happening but you just went with it. you and Tommy chased a bird telling him about the subscribe button and giving him the name ‘funny boy’

“Why does that bird look just extremely anxious”

“because we’re too cool ranboo”

“maybe we should give him another name than funny boy”

“Charles”

it was at this point you all decided to leave poor Charles alone as it was pretty clear he wanted nothing to do with you.

the three of you made your way to the train station forgetting that the school students would be there, a few minutes later the three of you were swarmed by several students all trying to talk to you all.

“I think we might have got on when the schools are here”

“so thankful you pointed that out boo I thought we were being mobbed by several people cosplaying as school students”

“hi everyone hopefully no one has covid”

you backed away from the crowd moving closer to ranboo

“I bet tubbos really glad he chose not to come”

you tried to avoid the crowd by getting on the train, this failed miserably. people were excited to meet the people they look up to they were all determined to sit with you all on the train taking up the seats around you all, the three of you spent a lot of the train ride talking to them, unlike ranboo and Tommy you ignored the comments aimed at the three of you not wanting to get involved after all it was rather overwhelming so many people talking loudly at once, you ended up moving seats and had a quiet conversation with someone from your community, around half an hour later you were at your destination and said goodbye before joining Tommy and ranboo at wills. the three of you sat on the floor listening to will and the others practice. it’s pretty clear Tommy has a habit of finding things as you turned around to see him with a puppet of a shark pretending to bite you

“Tommy what are you doing”

“bye y/n scream it’s going to get you”

“ah”

realising you weren’t going to scream he began telling joe, Wilbur and David to scream.

after spending time with the others and having a quick trip to the beach you Tommy and ranboo ended up at the shop recording the three of you on the security camera

“If you take a picture from there 50p”

you looked at ranboo tilting your head in confusion even though he was wearing a mask and sunglasses he was clearly equally as confused, he pulled you into his side noticing you were clearly starting to get anxious, you hated confrontation even though it turned out to be a joke it still shook you up a little bit

“I'm only joking my friend…but I did get them”

“you did we took it serious”

“aye you did”

the three of you walked away Tommy still laughing

“he scared me”

after a long day, you all went back to tubbos, you and ranboo decided to end the night early, the pair of you made your way to the shared room. you both spent a few minutes talking about mcc and how you were both going to win and coming up with new strategies. you must have fallen asleep mid-conversation as you didn’t remember seeing Tommy come into the room last night yet you were woken up by him complaining that ranboo playing mcc woke him up.

after getting ready you sat planning an adventure with tubbo

“So where do you wanna go bo”

“We should do something really cool”

“l hope you know that wasn’t helpful”

“pumpkin patch”

“it’s summer where do you think we’re going to find pumpkins…wait tubbo in October I’m taking you to a pumpkin patch it’ll be great we hardly spend time together as a pair near Halloween”

“I promise this year we’ll spend more time together”

your conversation was interrupted by Tommy and ranboo announcing they were ready to go to the beach again. once there tubbo sat arguing with Tommy and ranboo over them needing a life jacket. meanwhile, you had walked away collecting pretty rocks and sea glass putting them in the velvet blue bag covered in embroidered gold stars that dream had sent you as a thank you for the merch you sent him not long ago, you walked along the beach quietly talking to yourself

“ooh jack would like that and I could turn this into a ring for Niki…techno would like this and this would annoy schlatt it's perfect”

you laughed to yourself as you made your way back to the others thinking about schlatts reaction when he sees his gift. when you made your way back you watched Tommy swim over to tubbo leaving ranboo on his own probably waiting for you to return

“did you get any nice rocks then y/n you were out for a while”

“I did. come sit over there with me I’ll show you”

the pair of you sat next to each other away from the sea, ranboo matched your excitement every time you picked the rock you wanted to show him

“you’ve been collecting more than rocks? what’s that”

“I have !! you wanna see?”

“of course I do”

this was a moment neither of you would forget, the pair of you sat enjoying each others company looking at rocks and sea glass you had found on the beach ignoring the world.

MHA RAVE AU HEADCANONS

Part 1

Ok so I had started artworks for this idea because being a weeb and a raver, it only made sense to me.

So here’s a list of the MHA characters (all 18+) and what I think they’d be like as ravers including the genre, style and uh….. “party favors” they’d indulge in if they do indulge.

Izuku Midoriya

You can’t convince me that Deku isn’t a baby raver. He’s one of those that starts off wide eyed and so excited to start raving.

Definitely a budding Kandi Kid. He loves making kandi and trading with other people and he definitely takes videos or pics of his trades to add to his scrapbook.

Is the kind of baby raver that scrapbooks for his memories of each show/festival he goes to. He saves the admission bands and takes tons of pics.

Is fairly mainstream with his taste is DJs but will go to check out other sub genres if he goes with other groups. Mostly along the lines of Zedd, The Chainsmokers, David Guetta. Very house/pop vibes.

He’s very comfy style. Is big on merch shirts. Has a Fanny pack and a camel pack with essentials like gum, water, hair ties, a mini first aid kit, power banks, a couple fans and Vick’s.

Is the kind of guy that is very sweet so girls flock to him to either treat him like baby or flirt with him cuz he’s good boi. Will lift people on his shoulders, guy or girl.

Light show caretaker. He’s the one who holds your hand, fans you, will probably sit you in his lap whether you’re a guy gal or non binary pal.

His rave name is either Deku or Broccoli.

Izuku isn’t one to take any kind of “party favors”. If anything, he’s the one making sure everybody else is staying hydrated and safe. Usually the designated driver.

OFA gives him great strength which proves very useful when going to 3 day festivals as he ends up as the pack mule. Along with the multitude of other quirks attached ro OFA, he uses them as needed.

Shoto Todoroki

Wasn’t really ecstatic about raving but also didn’t hate the idea. He kinda just tagged along because Izuku wanted to go.

Also very big on house/pop/mainstream stuff. Will listen to trance on occasion but he has to really be in the mood.

Only really takes pics if he remembers or if Izuku tells him to. He likes to enjoy the shows in the moment.

Because he’s from a rich family, he usually gets to have VIP passes and will either sneak his friends in or just flat out walk them in. No fucks given.

Also very comfy. Will take his shirt off only if it gets too hot. Very little kandi but faithfully wears the one Izuku gave him.

Gets hit on a lot. Gives the strong silent type vibes so he lures in the girls but he’s kinda clueless. Will help put people on his shoulders if they ask but he’s not one to offer.

Not a big “party favor” person so he’ll just drink every now and again.

I feel like his rave name will be IcyHot, Peppermint, or something along those lines.

His dual-quirks of ice and fire help tremendously in warming people up or cooling them down.

Katsuki Bakugou

Katsuki took a bit of convincing but when he heard the boom of the bass, he was hooked. He loves the heavy beats and drops and loves to mosh pit.

Is a kandi kid but focuses more on head banging and rail breaking. The ones he trades kandi with are usually the ones he liked head banging with or got good vibes from. Will infamously wear his kandi gauntlets to festivals.

He is HEAVY on the bass. Very into hard style, dubstep, deathstep, drum and bass and moombatah. Sullivan King, Excision, Dion Timmer, etc.

Loves doing that headbanger thing with Kirishima where they lock hands and headbang at each other. Will also break his neck with Kirishima.

Absolutely is the type of guy to be shirtless the entire time. Will vary between bandanas, face masks, kandi masks or gas masks. Camel pack is a necessity and so is gum and vicks.

Does get hit on but his aggressive nature is off putting to most. Takes pics with a lot of people because of his Kandi gauntlets. If he does click with somebody he’s very possessive and the “party favors” make him very flirtatious and grabby but he’s v respectful.

Gives amazing back/shoulder rubs. Will usually put a girl in his lap when she gets a light show so she’s not uncomfy on the floor. For guys, he’s very selective but good vibes unless you give off Chad energy.

If he didn’t click with anybody at the show/festival and is feeling touchy feely, Kiri is his go to. Even if Kiri makes a connection, you’ll often see Katsuki close by and being the “tag team top” to Kiri.

Definitely uses “party favors”. Prefers E and acid. Big on Kandi Flipping. Will try Jedi Flipping but doesn’t wanna overdo it.

His rave name is either Dynamite or Grenade. Was almost gonna be Kacchan when he went with Izuku but he shut that down real fast.

His explosion quirk comes in handy with hyping up the crowd with mini explosion. They also double for giving light shows. Likes watching faces melt.

Kyoka Jirou

I definitely think she’s one of the ones that introduced everyone to raving to open up their music taste.

She listens to a little of everything but prefers house, trance, techno and probably a little psy-trance.

She’s definitely a budding DJ/Producer. Has her own EPs out on SoundCloud and shit. Definitely invites everyone she knows to her shows.

Not so big on kandi but she loves spreading the PLUR vibes. Will give hugs, braid hair, have spare hair ties, etc.

Super into hearing different types of music so will definitely wander around different stages.

Style is very lax but also very rocker. Ripped tank tops, fishnets, leg wraps face masks, boots.

Sometimes partakes in “party favors” but very low doses. Mostly E or molly water

She’s the kind that will give amazing massages when someone is getting a light show. Does get hit on but usually ends up befriending everybody.

Her raver name is tricky. I feel like she’d get something Joane Jet or something very rocker.

Her quirk is tricky for this environment. It can be a hit or miss. Because of the volume she obviously can’t amplify the sound. Because her ear jacks can move on their own, she usually is the one catching people’s stuff, getting a better grip on them etc.

Ochako Uraraka

Very bubbly and upbeat. Definitely pop-ish/mainstream vibes. Will randomly be on a bass kick and it’s frightening.

She was super excited to go to a rave and was very baby raver but she loves it now.

She’s definitely the type to wear the cutesy outfits with tutus and bright colors and patterns and the body glitter everywhere and jewels. Probably leg warmer floofs.

Loves Kandi and trading kandi. Super friendly and bubbly. Makes friends with everybody.

Carries a fanny pack with the basics. Usually relies on Izuku for water and stuffs.

She’s a molly water chick. No debating. She can’t take a whole dosage. She’s gotta take it in Gatorade or water. Has to be watched cuz her bubbly nature makes her wander off so she’ll usually be tethered to somebody.

Usually hyping up the light show artist while they melt your face off. Will fan you off, hold your hand, give you shoulder and scalp massages.

I feel like her nickname would be something like Pinkie Pie or Bubbles. Very fitting for her personality.

Her quirk is definitely a god send for the other vertically challenged ravers. She’ll use her quirk to help float up to get a better view. Izuku is usually nearby keeping Ochaco and whoever she floats in his hands so they don’t float away.

Eijirou Kirishima

Is good boi himbo who wanted to be included. Listened to dubstep and loved it.

Very much into dubstep, hard style, deathstep and moombatah. Drum and bass too because of Katsuki.

Is a headbanger and rail breaker. Loves doing the hand holding, head banging thingy with Bakugou and is always ready to dive into the moshpits. Is totally that guy that’s crazy in mosh pits but then profusely apologizes after.

Trades kandi like it’s water. He’s so cute and always down to make trades.

Is absolutely big good himbo boi who drank his respecc womens juice. He will happily give them a lift on his shoulders and will fight everybody who disrespects any girl at the raves. Douchebag Chads beware.

Relies on Katsuki for stuff like water and gum and shit.

Will partake in some “party favors” and makes sure he doesn’t dose too high so he can keep an eye out for the females in his group. E, Molly and Acid are a yes. Shrooms scare him

His rave name is totally Daddy Shark or Jaws or something shark related.

Unbreakable gives Kiri great strength which, much like Izuku, makes him one of the packmules for festivals. Also keeps him unscathed by moshpits and makes him a terror to Chads that are quick to throw hands.

Tsuyu Asui

Was invited to a show by Jirou at first but always tags along with Izuku and Ochaco and Shoto. The bigger the crowd the better.

I feel like while she’s very cute and bubbly, her outfits are more on the conservative side. Still cute and slightly sexy but she’s heavy on the frog aesthetic. Lots of greens and Froggies. Braid to keep her hair out of the way.

Also very mainstream. House heavy. Pop main.

Comfy shoes are a must. Has a camel back that is always filled with water. Carries a giant fan and always has Kandi. During the day, she likes to carry an umbrella so the sun isn’t such a pain.

Has tried “party favors” and every now and again she’ll partake. Prefers super light drinking around her group tho.

Is hit on but is always very nice to turn people down. She’s more focused on the fun and her friends rather than hooking up or anything.

Her froggy quirk isn’t of too much in the rave environment other than using that long tongue to reign in her wander friends.

Denki Kaminari

Was introduced to raving by Jirou and loves it. He’s definitely her hype machine, promoting her shows, pushing merch and even volunteering to use his quirk for lighting during her sets.

Will definitely join the Bakusquad at the hard style and dubstep stages. Also loves techno and moombatah. Loves the high energy stuff.

Neons and glow in the darks are big in his rave wardrobe. Can and will rock fishnets with pride. Tank tops are more common but will go shirtless if it gets too hot or he gets too touchy feely. Kind of a cyberpunk feel sometimes.

Is a die hard kandi kid. Usually has them in the theme of video games or anime. Basically his arms are covered in kandi but the ones from his friends stay safe in a Fanny pack.

As an avid raver, he knows what you need and has it when you need it. Chapstick? Check. Gum? Tons. Lighters? Honey it’s a sin that you’re even asking.

Absolutely partakes in “party favors” and gets very handsy and flirtatious. Is respectful but can be a handful. Usually ends up being babysat by Jirou. E, Molly, acid and shrooms.

Is a huge flirt. I personally feel like he’s Pan so the whole crowd is fair game for his flirting. Hella good kisser with guys girls and non binaries. Uses his quirk for minimal stimulation.

His quirk is definitely a raver’s delight. He’s usually the one helping power people’s phones, helping keep machines running in the off chance the power surge is too much. Uses it for stimulation during make out sessions or light shows. Will also give light shows. Can’t do it for too long though because the light shows require a lot of focus on maintaining the output to smaller levels.

His rave name is Pikachu and I’m not taking any arguments/complaints/criticisms.

Tenya Iida

Was invited a rave and didn’t mind it but too chaotic for his taste.

He’s usually the guy working the rave at the water stands, merch stands or medical tent.

Rave dad vibes. Yells to not run, drink water and highly discourages use of “party favors”.

Has been hit on a couple times but is a dork and it usually goes over his head.

T-shirts and cargo shorts are his staple outfit. Always with a camel pack

His engine quirk helps him get from one end of the festival grounds to the other in no time flat so he has a specific path for him to run through cuz those speeds will knock a bitch out.

Even though he doesn’t really rave he was given a rave name and it’s Sonic.

Mina Ashido

The epitome of a fucking rave queen. She’s one of the other reasons that everybody else got into raving.

Is everywhere. She listens to a bit of everything. Loves the energy of dubstep, loves shuffling to techno, can and will throws elbows in a mosh pit at a hard style stage and will sing with you at the mainstream stages.

She’s definitely a brand ambassador and wears all the cutest outfits with the coolest patterns and most awesome styles. Tastefully sexy outfits that show off just enough.

Absolutely a kandi kid. Very alien friendly themed kandi. Full arms of traded kandi and kandi that is yet to be traded.

She’s a super bright personality that draws people in. She gets equal attention from guys and girls and non binaries and will gladly make out with anybody that gives her a good vibe.

Definitely partakes in “party favors”. Loves Kandi Flipping and Jedi flipping. Is the kind to chew her cheek raw so she needs either a pacifier or lots of gum.

For obvious reasons, her quirk is a no no. Shooting acid everywhere? Yea let’s not.

Her rave name is Alien Queen or ET Babe

Hanta Sero

Absolutely loves raving and I’m gonna stick with the Latino HC. He is a moombatah and trap king. Also loves artists like Deorro that have a lot of Latin fusion in their stuff. When “Bailar” came out, he played it for hours on end.

Very lax clothes. Very much stoner style. But on rare occasions he goes with the Chad aesthetic. Has that undercut but with longer hair up top style and will often swing it it up in a man bun.

He’s a promoter for sure. Usually has access to backstage because he gets in good with DJs.

Does use “party favors” but is mainly 4/20 friendly. Loves shotgunning. Is usually the guy that carries extra “party favors”. Will def go on an acid or shroom trip with first timers.

Very sexually fluid so good vibes are pretty much all that are required. Hella god dancer and uses that to his advantage.

Has all the essentials. Especially lighters. Is the one that remembers the eye drops.

His rave name is definitely Papi or Rey (Spanish for King).

His quirk is another one that doesn’t have much use other than to wrangle in his wandering friends.

Momo Yaoyorozu

Wasn’t keen on going at first but when she saw that even Shoto was going, she thought she’d give it a try. Is another rich kid so does have the VIP access for the sake of having a good/comfy place to sit and rest.

Mainstream for sure. Very pop heavy vibes. Some house and trance

Very much the rave mom. Keeping everybody hydrated and safe.

Given that her quirk relies heavily on her energy and all that, she doesn’t partake in party favors

Tries to keep it cute but usually ends up looking more on the sexy side.

She’s been convinced to be a brand ambassador for the sake of modeling the clothes. But she always asks for the more covered up options.

Is too busy taking care of everybody to worry about meeting people.

Her quirk is perfect for raving. Being able to create anything certainly has come in handy. Makes her a god send to those who forgot something like lighter, chapstick, hair tie etc.

Her rave name would probably be Mama Momo.

Hitoshi Shinsou

Now this guy is heavy into psy-trance. Think more along the lines of artists like Infected Mushroom.

He’s the connect that everybody goes to. Meaning yes, he partakes in party favors. Particularly the psychedelics like shrooms and acid.

Very cyber punk/street wear vibes. Comfy but still fits that aesthetic. Absolutely uses either his voice mask or a gas mask.

He gives the mysterious vibe so he has a lot of people drawn to him. I feel like he gives major Pansexual vibes. He’ll mainly go make out with Denki if he’s solo.

Just a basic Fanny pack with a few things in it like gum, chapstick, lighter.

Definitely a glover. Loves giving light shows because it almost feels like he’s using his quirk.

Can use his quirk in this type of environment but the loudness makes it tricky. Will mainly use it for the purpose of making sure people take care of themselves.

Fumikage Tokoyami

I feel like Tokoyami would definitely be into more dubstep and psytrance.

He was very open minded about raving and definitely wanted to try it at least once.

Occasionally partakes in party favors but likes to be lucid.

Is also a glover like Shinsou. But with Dark Shadow, he can go all out with the tricks and visuals.

Very casual and comfortable. Baggy t shirts and sweats. Will sometimes dress with a cyber punk aesthetic if he feels like adding a little extra oomf.

Trades some kandi but not always.

Dark shadow is a conversation starter and the darkness proves to be particularly tricked but because there are constant sources of light (glow sticks, laser light shows, etc) it’s easily tamable.

Won’t put anybody on his shoulders but Dark Shadow will definitely help hoist somebody up for a better view.

Rave name would probably be things along the lines of ominous authors. So probably Edgar Allan Crow, F.T. Lovecraft, or just Lovecraft.

Keigo “Hawks” Takami

Oh this man? This man eats, sleeps, raves, repeats. He breathes PLUR.

He does partake in party favors but is responsible. He’s the one making sure you keep dosage to a minimal. E and Molly water. Acid sometimes. Shrooms make him feel funny

Can definitely afford the VIP tickets but would rather be in the crowd. Especially because he loves big groups. He’s definitely the kind of guy that gives Chad vibes when you first see him but he’s the complete opposite. Will definitely be the kind of guy to start shit with a Chad that won’t leave girls alone.

Totally shirt off the entire time. Will purposely do some subtle flexing just cuz he can.

Is totally hit on by guys gals and non binary alike. He is a looker so that’s to be expected. Usually cargo shorts are a go-to and he rocks bandanas.

Is a kandi kid for sure and loves to trade. He’s even made a few with his feathers attached but those are especially for people he REALLY vibes with.

He’s got a good mix of music taste. Will totally throw down with the hard stylers but definitely get lost and philosophical with the trancies.

Is a HELLA good kisser and uses his wings when he wants a little privacy.

Speaking of wings, those definitely come in handy at raves. I mean for one thing, they work like an umbrella when it’s hot out. Secondly they’re basically built in fans. Thirdly, they work for privacy. And he’ll totally fly you up and get you a better view of the show.

His charisma is definitely at 100 and I can totally see him getting you backstage to meet your fave artists.

The rave name is tricky but maybe Hawks will be the basic one. His friends use KFC or Red. No wait. Fuck it. Maverick or Top Gun. Something like that.

I’m ok with both platonic or romantic

I'm a 4’11 female that loves picture,drawing,art or space but I mainly lean toward things relating to the moon.

I am pansexual

The main thing I like to do is listen to music while imagining scenarios of people in my head so I often daydream a lot.

I like cooking, coloring those really detailed pictures, painting, listening to music, dozing off, and playing video games

I often text my friends a lot and one of the main thing I wanna do is either go out with my friends at night and goof around or have one of those picnics where you buy a cake and then brings cups and dig the cups into the cake and stuff those just sound like really fun things to do :)

Personality wise well…uh I guess I’m more on the loud side at least once you get to know me. I can be very quiet at first and stay away from people but once I get to know people I become loud( at times) and cuss a little too much. I can be little stupid when it come to things and also don’t really know how to take sarcasm most of the time so I just like stay quiet cuz idk if they were joking or not. I can be very bossy but once I see that I have upset someone I’ll stop and become more calm. I can also be very insecure which causes me to have a little trust issues with people so I try to lean more on the quiet side but sometimes I get too into things and become loud.

And to help you out more I’m an isfp and I’m also a Leo if that helps.

And last (sorry this is so long) my appearance.

I have shoulder long hair with a face frame and I’m usually seen wearing either Ranboo or tubbo merch(cuz like gotta support my streamers) and jeans or leggings. I don’t really have a specific style, I just find what’s in my closet and wear it :).

(Hi just for context I have no idea who squidkid is or what the potatoe war is but I had a fantastic idea and so I’m using them in this anyway)

So tommy right. Ok well you’re not going to believe this but he gets lost. He was just vibing and next thing he knows he’s in an alleyway presumably far from the store. And just before he calls for help he happens to bump into squidkid. (I’m not sure if they would’ve met or not yet but in this situation they do not recognize eachother)

And squid is like “are you alright tall child??” And tommy, after cursing him out for calling him a child for he is a large big man, metions that he’s just gonna call his brother technoblade.

“Technoblade?”

“Yup”

“Kinda tall, pink hair, monotone, makes you want to punch him but in an annoyingly endearing way?”

“Yup”

“.....do you wanna help me prank techno and win a rivalry we’ve had since highschool”

“Absolutely.”

And so they start plotting (after getting permission from Phil because you shouldn’t just hang out with strange adults you meet in alleys)

Technoblade ends up getting a call from his cell from tommy which is immediately suspicious because tommy loves using the walkie talkies to bug everyone when he needs something. So techno actually picks up.

“Heeeeeeey big man...funny story you’re going to love this-“

“What did you do tommy”

“NOTHING. Well. I’m pretty sure being kidnapped cant be considered my fault”

“....HEH”

“Yeaaah. Things went a bit south”

“I’m calling the police. I swear to god if we don’t find you-“

“Why does that sound like you’re threatening me?!?!? Besides we’re just in the parking lot”

And so techno rushes out there and sees squidkid but no tommy (by this point he knows it’s a prank and Tommy’s not in serious danger) and so techno and squidkid have these dramatic monologues which end with squidkid revealing where tommy is and it turns out he’s just chilling in this giant cage hanging from a tree drinking Coke (wether or not he’s wearing a princess peach outfit is up to you)

Techno is so done with this shit

“Tommy did squid really manage to bribe you into being a damsel in distress with coke?!”

“NO......he also gave me free merch.”

“Goddammit Tommy”

And so squid reveals that the only way he’ll return tommy is if Technoblade and him have a rematch of the potato war (but it ends before 8 because tommy has a curfew) and so techno and squid gets like an hour to prepare and I’m too lazy to say how that whole biz goes but it ends with techno and squid saying dumb dramatic lines like

“You’re not bad.”

“You’re not so bad yourself”

And then they just stare into the sunset for a minute before tommy finally interrupts

“Uh hey guys! How am supposed to get down from here?”

No amount of words can describe how much I love this. He wears a gender bent Princess Peach costume because comfort comes before jokes

This is gonna be LONG so bare with me

1)why do i like trolls/ how do i perceive the movies/ how do they inspire me: hmm i guess a simple answer to all that is “cus they’re gay culture because i said so and i am a gay” ;alkdsjaf. But in seriousness...i think Trolls have really helped me get through 2020, them and the server i’m in. everyone there is awesome <3. They’re just happy little creatures. The movies, first impressions of the trailers for the first one “cringe ass nae nae baby movie” admittedly aldsfkj. Do the movie’s credit it’s marketing was ROUGH and not at ALL reflective of what content is actually in it. Second movie: “owo what’s this? rock trolls??? i’m into rock right now! let’s fucking go! The antagonist looks really interesting!” They’re both pretty good movies, but world tour has SO much going on and not nearly enough time to explore it all. As for inspiration, the people in the server and this fandom really inspire me a lot. also make gay trolls kiss a lot lakfdjs. ((okay that one answer was so long i’m sorry))

2) Why did i decide to join the fandom?: i watched the movie cus the idea intrigued me and i got kinda hooked on it. I couldn’t STOP myself from doodling barb and i quickly realized “oop! looks like i got a new fixation” so i made my own secondary trolls blog so i wouldn’t be clogging up my main account with trolls

3) Do i think there will be a third trolls and if so what: i think there will be. It kinda seemed like the credits were setting up a third movie, also i think these movies make dreamworks a lot of money. And them being a big company and all they’re gonna wanna milk it for all it’s worth alsdkfja. Realistically i have NO idea what it could be about though, i hope exploring more of the new troll kingdoms and seeing the leaders again though. Jokingly though, idk, all that poppy and barb merch...what are you hinting at Dreamworks? Just come out and say they’re gay loool

7) top three trolls genres and faves: oooo. uhm. Rock and Barb, Country and Delta, aaaand funk and Quincy?

8) what other genres would you have liked to see: hmmmm that’s tricky cus what we got is what inspired me to listen to music other than pop and rock in the first place lol. uhm i honestly don’t know sorry

10) Unpopular opinions: uh, i guess that i like Legsly and Tiny but they really didn’t need to be in it. World tour already introduced so many leaders and side characters of other tribes that introducing two more to pop was unneccesary and crowded. Dreamworks seems to have a bad habit of introducing new characters but not being able to balance the ones they already have, i mean look at trollstopia, the original cast is barley in it aside from poppy and branch and five second gags. Legsly is sweet and i like that Guy is a dad now and that that seems to have humbled the. But especially legsly they don’t really DO anything and it’s like “who are you??? where did you even come from???” and then we just...never know

11) headcanons: *points at barb* lesbian. *points at Poppy* Closeted lesbian or Pan. (these are kinda seperate headcanons for seperate universes i guess) Rock trolls wear ash make up but they also just have dark patterns around their eyes to help with glare from lava. each pattern is unique. A techno troll’s pattern grows in during puberty and adolesence. Reaching it’s peak at full maturity. Rock trolls take lava baths like a hot top. i defintley have more but i’m drawina blank rn and probably running out of space to type eventually

Films: blade runner (and 2049), 3-iron, jurassic park, lethal weapon, my name is nobody, scott pilgrim, phoenix wright, toy story. (anime): ghost in the shell, akira, miyazaki stuff, a lot more i’m forgetting...

Play any instruments: piano/kb (not great but trying), guitar (worse), harmonica (who cares tho lol), drums (awful). just a lot of things but i never get good weh. Languages: sadly only english. i’ve tried japanese and german etc but i’m bad at learning em! Aesthetics: anime girl, pixel, techno, neo-futurism, old japanese computers, virtual boy, manga, vaporwavey, vhs, looks normal or even punky or “tough?” irl but goes home to a room covered in cutesy moe anime girl merch.

Back in the nineties even as a really little kid I was a lover of improv. On snow days or sick days I loved watching this little British show on Comedy Central called “Whose Line Is It Anyway”. You may have heard of the really successful American reboot that’s still going on to this very day. Back then if you told me improv was not only going online but going to evolve into this heavily futuristic multimedia affair I would have called you crazy. May I introduce you to the seven maniacs who not only did it but have been working on it in one form or the other for years. I present to you Titled Frame hosted by Matthew Quinn and starring Misa Doi, Jaimie Paulson, Diana Brown, and John Baumgaertner.

This isn’t your usual improv even though this is some of the best techniques that we all remember. The real magic belongs with the work of David Svengalis, Matthew Quinn and Miles Berman to work tirelessly behind the scenes. All the little pictures that you see in the background that tie so effortlessly into the suggestions given right off the cuff? Those are added by Svengalis in the moment and on the fly. Berman is furiously trying to make sure actor’s squares are all in the same place and all the titles are correct. However we wouldn’t be anywhere without Quinn’s excellent hosting. I don’t know if another improv group where the tech crew has to improv just as much as the cast.

Improv is all about the teamwork that makes the dream work and you’ll find no better team than this cast. I always say that improv troupes are the biker gangs of theatre because you have to be “ride or die” on stage with your partners. In this world of tech improv you don’t just rely on the riffs and moves of your partner; they are literally your bottom or top half. Their performance is your performance. Not many other times in your theatre career besides tandem rabid wolverine juggling or circus acrobatics over a pit of lava is your performance so much in the hands of somebody else. The fact that our performers can pull this off and with a performance that is anything but average is stunning. The fact that they can excell is beyond mind boggling.

The one small issue that we have with the show is not even directly in the show. When we had seen the show in weeks prior the only suggestions given were those in the audience right before the show. This week we were seeing members of the cast posting the normal pre-show questions on their social media pages a day or so in advance. Yes this might be brilliant marketing but it did mean that if you weren’t friends with them online (luckily we were) you wouldn’t have seen this and been able to respond. This made it feel like people who may not have bought a ticket controlled the show before it even started. If we were coming into this cold and heard that they had already been taking questions from Facebook before we got there we would be feeling like we were ticket paying audience members in competition with their Facebook friends. I now have to be even funnier just to get a chance to be heard.

Really this seems to us a missed opportunity for Tilted Frame the brand to grow their audience. We would totally understand if an entire game during the show was devoted to fans who were posting on a hashtag a day before or went on the Combined Artforms or Tilted Frame Facebook page to give special suggestions. For a weekly show, this would be building social media marketing 101 and building repeat customers. If I saw that during a show I would be anxious to go to their page and respond and come back next week to see if I “won”. I wouldn’t feel like I’m not in the loop because everything was decided beforehand.

When the world is moving more online this seems like a natural evolution in the improv world. Not only are they sticking true to some classic games but they are making new forms. Who knows maybe they’ll get people copycatting them in a few years (theft is high praise in the comedy world). Futurism (or techno improv in this case) is all about finding the technology and mastering it’s secrets. As some things get easier they switch it up and try new stuff. They constantly have their ears to the ground looking for the next thing, the new evolution. We can’t wait to see what they try next.

Well that'a a wrap- the D.C Cross Ecstatic Racquet album tour is complete! Thank you so much to all my new fans and old fans for the support! It was a lot of fun. I probably drove more than 10000 kms for the 9 shows- which is mental..it was all good until the car broke down in Albury on the weekend- keep reading and you can hear about the drama of the last 48 hours in point form!

Thanks to all the nice people, other musicians and venues and sound people and bar people at the places i played at. All thank you for the free beers, dinners and when people let me stay at the venue or their homes for free. Super mega thank you to Dusty Attic Music Lounge , Howl & Moan Records, Petersham Bowling Club, Plantbased Wholefoods, The Merri Creek Tavern , Franks Wild Years, Mounties and the Bridge Hotel Castlemaine (which is impossible to tag on Facebook).

So everyone is always crapping on about stuff that happens to them on social media but the last 48hours of my tour was quite eventful and i think entertaining for others. Here in point form i will mention the unfolding of the events.

Saturday 3pm Show in Thirroul - Sunday 3pm Show in Castlemaine, Victoria - a bit of driving (about 1700 kms there and back to Sydney) but pretty straight forward- right..what could possibility go right :/

•drive from Marrickville to Thirroul - so far so good

• play a cosy show to some nice people at Franks' Wild Years- very impressed german guy says that i am a beautiful musician and play the guitar like John Frusciante from the Chill Peppers - Brad other founding original member of Gerling comes to the show-a wonderful gesture of support

•Finish show in Thirroul and with a broken GPS head on the drive to Castlemaine, Victoria (about 845km's).

•Get tailgated on the Bulli Pass by some tradie fuckhead- a bit of an anxious 10 minutes but make it okay - our faithful 2004 Holden still seems to be okay.

•Drive for 5 hours on route to Albury as its more than halfway.

•100 kms out of Albury car starts shaking uncontrollably - i thought it was just the Hume Highway - so just cranked AC/DC and LANKUM new album on the distorted car stereo.

•60 km's nearer Albury situation with car gets worse- now know it was a busted CV crankshaft (no idea) and apparently quite dangerous

•Navigate car into Albury and call road side assistance. Sounds like i get a drunk Andrew Jackson Calvert type guy on the phone who relishes in the fact he can say that they can't help me and can tow the vehcile to a mechanic on Monday morning. It's 9.30 Pm Saturday night

•Find the cheapest accom in Albury -$66 a night and stay above a 2 floored techno beer barn full of teenagers on MDMA and very loud party remix / techno music going on. The room looks like was last renovated in the 1950's.

•Call the only guy i know in Albury and hit the RSL after Ross Wilson had just played. Didn't see Ross and damn glad i didn't hear 'Come said the Boy' the second most dodgy song in Australian Music History.

•Stash broken down car in Coles car park. Got to bed in backpackers with Digitalism's - Zdarlight blasting through the building.

•Awake sunday morning and hire car and drive to Castlemaine.

•An hour out of Albury a crazed fucktard - Chopper Reid vibe guy - cruising along in a shitbox Commodore with two kids bikes strapped to the back - a blue bike and little pink bike gets upset that i overtake him on the freeway. As im overtaking he speeds up- i was wasnt really checking my rear view mirror as as i was looking straight ahead to overtake- pretty legit an safe driving from me- anyway, Chopper Reid speeds up and whist i'm overtaking and gets really really mad..i do the thumbs up mate sign and makes him even more angrier..he follows my agrresively for the next 200 kilometres.. very intimidating - the most alarming thought of this was if he is driving so recklessly with two small kids in the car (nee the bikes) imagine what he would do if he caught up to me after 2 hours of full on road rage anger. Yep just what i need right now- anyway decide to James Bond him and speed up so he cant see me, speed into a truck parking side station behind a bunch of bushes- wait till i see him fly pass - teeth grinding trying to find me. Wait 5 minutes and commence my ongoing, fun-filled journey

•Castlemaine Bridge Hotel is a lot further than i calculated. And a path i have never journeyed before- no GPS is making trickier.

•3 hours later -- I ARRIVE! PHEW.

•The Bridge Hotel Castlemaine is a safe haven of coolness in all the chaos.

•Meet old friend Casey Rice at the Bridge Hotel and play two sets of my music to people actually listening to my songs- made the ordeal worthwhile and Skyscrapper Stan aka Stan Woodhouse - the kiwi songsmith works there as the barman- equally parts good and evil - that guy is a crackup..easing into the afternoon with a free pint of something, some comedy gold from Stan and a half price healthy dinner with green stuff in it (maybe vegetables- not on a burger bun so im a bit confused how to eat it ).

•Stay the night above the venue and get up at 4am to drive car back to hire car place. Venues alarm system goes off when i'm having a shower…find the exit and leave gracefully

•On the drive back to Albury - around 4.35am my phone GPS stops working and end up on some lonesome unused highway in a State Forrest in the middle of nowhere - using just my instinct to try and navigate back to Albury

•See a giant Pink moon setting over the trees in state forrest - i think heading towards Canberra (no idea) and makes the trip worthwhile

• Two massive kangaroos leap across the road just seconds away from me, right in front of the car- it's still pitch black - i narrowly avoiding hitting them (a split second before this happened a voice in my head said slow down, be careful, i dont wanna kill no kangaroos) - maybe it was the kangaroos mystical vibe -im not sure but seemed like divine intervention for the next 3 hours that we all survived.

•Some how make it to Heathcote, Victoria and get directions to the Hume Highway by a lady working at a servo with a magical hair braid getting hit on by the local milkman (why do all milkman look the same??) . I've never been happier to see the Hume Highway in my life. Listen to Highway to Hell - AC/DC on cd - my close friends mum gave my as a birthday gift she got from her work - a catholic girls schools - the library was throwing the cd out. Also LANKUM new song 'Wild Rover' that sounds equal parts Irish Rebel folk heroes/ Dirty Three and Tool - I'm having a moment.

•Eventually get back to Albury, put all my guitars and merch and amp back in broken car and return the hire car which was three times the amount i thought it would be cause i had driven extra kilometres.

•Get back in my barely drivable broken down car - Monday morning trying to find a mechanic in Albury to repair car. •Seems all mechanic in Albury are too busy- we can fix the car in 5 days time or are on holidays… Stranded far from home….

•Finally find a mechanic on the outskirts of town who can fix the car- drive barley drivable car around Albury trying to find the mechanic- stressing out front wheels will fall off - takes about 20 minutes without gps and hats off the bloke who gave me the best directions of my life to find mechanic.

•Mechanic looks at car and says its my lucky day - they have the spare part in Albury -which is very rare … a new crank shaft (no idea) - and he can fix it straight away ($500 seems reasonable ).

•Wait 5 hours in the belting Albury sun. Eat the biggest and best potato scallops ive ever had (from North Albury) and presto- hand over credit card and Car is fixed. Drink 2 litres of hot Mountain Dew and drive 6 hours and arrive home safely.

• Triumph scene from Rocky -Bill Contis 'Gonna Fly Now (Theme from Rocky) plays out in my head as i drink a beer and lie on the couch. Maybe next time i will fly.

• And thats what it takes to play two shows as an underground cult folk musician in Australia.
