Well, he can't really blame them, given how he goes overboard all the time. Having to hold back is a punishment, to be honest and often, one needs to let loose.

While he appoves of the overprotective ones ― since he is one himself and everyone needs validation even if it's twisted ― he wants to eat the ones who hurt their darling. Nobody should ever put a finger on you while he is around. Not even when he is away. Being around you seems like the best choice if he intends to keep you safe. So why should he be deprived of that, of being closer to you, of looking out for you?

Why should yanderes be seen in a negative light? Their actions are born from love and concern, not malice and bad will. Despite being a demon, he understands it. He wonders why the world can't see through his eyes.
