I was looking for this for a minute. I vaguely remembered posting it, and now I wanted to come back to it to relive those memories I had made and forever immortalized here.

That world had long since been abandoned. One day I got too overwhelmed to open it ever again. Now I can't think about it without hurting.

That friend of mine became toxic, and treated me and my s/o badly, treating her like she was stupid and incapable of doing things, and I always had to sit there and try not to cry whenever he insulted us, for fear of being called weak and sensitive. One day, we just... Didn't go to something he planned. He ignored s/o in school, and neither of us apologized. We never interacted again. Thankfully, that third friend I mentioned chose our side once she heard how we're treated and got better, because she always added fuel to the fire and sided with him. I don't miss who my friend became, but I miss the memories I have with him. I hope he's happy now.

I have new friends now, and even if I don't talk to them often, I'm happy to spend time with them.

I still play Minecraft with my s/o. We made a realm for us and our friends. I don't give her Minecraft flowers so much, and she doesn't put them somewhere special. She doesn't give me shiny things when she mines anymore. I don't make AFK spots now. She doesn't die constantly. We don't talk in the game chat.

We don't talk in the game chat, because we live together now, and play in the same room. I don't give her so many flowers because I know she loves me anyway. She doesn't keep them anywhere special because she'd never collect flowers on her own, so she keeps mine where she'll see them more often. She doesn't give me shiny things because no matter what, what's hers is mine, and mine is hers. I don't get overwhelmed anymore to make AFK spots, and she's gotten better at the game to not die (plus the fully enchanted armor I made specifically for her, but don't tell her that).

But she still pushes me off docks when I fish, and we still share the same bed.

Now, in our realm, we live in a commune with our friends in a cherry biome, ridiculously far from spawn. They build ugly houses, but we never tell them that (the one that made the furnace house already knows anyway).

One of them has big dreams to make a grand city and castle in the massive ass cavern beneath his house. He wants to put auto farms there, of every variety.

Another makes big fields for animals, and paths in the nether. He says he's a miner, but I've never seen him down there.

Our friend from years ago, has never made it there from spawn on the rare occasion she hops on. S/o and I are working on armor for her, and to escort her all the way next time.

A friend that is practically s/o's sister just joined. I brought her all the way to the commune, showed her around, and helped her find a spot for her house. She's staying at mine and using my materials until she builds it.

My s/o has a cute little cabin by the ocean. She has massive crop farms, that are always expanding, and a staircase into her mines, which are as confusing as always. (She still has an obsession with building bridges, and has made two ridiculously long ones)

I don't live in the same house as my s/o anymore. Instead, I made my own Japanese styled house out of quartz and cherry wood (I've been told multiple times from everyone it is the best house in the server. Not my fault I'm the only builder who is not building in a big fuck off cave). I made a railway tunnel underground connecting me and s/o's houses. My next project is making a western town in a mesa we have a portal to.

We're all rarely on at the same time. Our community just seems to be getting bigger and bigger, despite that.

And, no matter what, I now find solace in this server filled with friends, like how I found solace in our old world years ago. This server is home.

I hope, even as time goes on, and changes all of us in ways we never could have seen, I'll be able to find that world -like now, and like years ago- to share with the people I'm closest with. To find that world I can find peace and joy in.

I hope to always find the world I'll call home.

Bro, I really love having friends. I have three school friends I (at least try to) talk to constantly, and two of them love playing Minecraft in a world I made almost a year ago and it’s just so nice. Especially since I can’t really see them during the pandemic, and I’m really glad we have that world, because there’s always the little things and actions there that will be constant even when I forget the little things that happen in person

Me giving my girlfriend a spare flower if I see her and have some

Her giving me shiny things whenever she goes mining, and keeping all the flowers I give her in a special chest

Our friend always throwing me whatever junk he has in his inventory when he sees me

Him always terrorizing s/o with invis pots when he’s bored

Them pushing me off the docks whenever I’m fishing

S/o playfully hitting me, thorns armor or not

Friend screaming about how creepers always spawn in his house

S/o dying constantly while we laugh

Them always politely asking me to get something for them no matter what we’re doing (ex: ores, netherite, blocks, torches, etc.)

Them always running circles around me, whether I’m busy or just watching them (they’re always arguing and trying to kill each other)

They made a game of trying to find my AFK spots whenever I leave so they can leave signs. I never break them.

Friend never telling me he’s waiting for me to finish something right behind me, always scaring the fuck out of me

Me and my s/o doing sincere “<3” in game chat and doing sarcastic “<333” when friend is cussing us out for something

Friend always saving game clips whenever something funny happens to s/o

S/o refuses to sleep in a separate Minecraft from me

Friend always blocking off entrances to places with random blocks

S/o always reminding what I was doing if I forget

They try not to bug me too much overall, but especially when I’m getting overwhelmed/dissociative

I just,, happy :)

I had a really cute interaction with a kid at work today.

I work at a resort and we have face painting for Halloween. This one girl about ten yo had her face painted half white and half black with red on one side and green on the other and even the fake tear tracks. I was like ‘hmm that seems familiar’ so I said “I like your face paint” and she answered, “I’m half enderman and half another mob. for Halloween”

So I went “Like Ranboo?” This girl got SO excited just because I knew who he was, we talked for a while and it was so adorable.
