I also want to clarify some of my posts from the other day and just like explain where my head's at. This is not a vague to anyone btw its just about me.

My posts about "no speculation" was mostly because I saw leaktwt stuff in which was pressuring Shubble, digging up extremely private information about HER, and also using tommy vlogs as evidence of something and it made me feel so sick as a victim who wouldnt wnat that to happen to me about my past abusers. It was a very triggering day for me and I regret posting so much about it as I did without that clarity.

However, I want to be clear people coming to their own quite obvious conclusions about the situation was never the problem (I have come to conclusions myself as well, though I don't think I need to state them out loud nor do I need to make a long post about what posting on my blogs gonna be like at this time I don't think that's productive for me personally). And I never NEVER meant to post as if I was supporting abusers, none of my posts were to be "neutral" or defend anyone at all and I don't think it came accross that way but I want to make sure and emphasize that in case it did.

We can live in a world where pressuring Shubble and harming her and her private information (meaning the stuff that wasn't what she talked about publicly) is bad and also moving intentionally to not platform abusers can exist in the same realm. Shubble made it clear that silence has only bolstered this man, and that he's dangerous and will hurt others again and again.

So, I just ask, going forward. Please be kind, please do not pressure Shubble at all, do not entertain leaktwt doxes/nor their intentions (which is not pro-victim). But do bolster Shubble's message and her wishes above all else. Do not let your misogyny cloud how you talk about Shubbles story. Do be cautious in platforming abusers. Do be patient with us victims who are triggered by all this in the fandom again. Do not make long posts saying you support your fav male cc and why "you'll always stand by him" and do not victim blame or try to pick apart shubbles story you equally make me sick to leaktwt doxxes and you are not pro-victim either. Do not use your stories or other peoples stories of abuse to denounce Shubble's do not attempt to discredit her because your experiences were different or you just really really want to defend your male cc.

And I am sorry I posted without clarity and while I was in a triggered state of mind (those posts have mostly been deleted).

I just I'm scared. I cannot go through another moment in this fandom where people blame and harm victims like many did during the dream allegations. I cannot do that again. I cannot. In a nightly delirium, me and my friend created this hellish crossover no body asked for. It started as a joke but quickly spiraled into just ... us fully giving the Strawhat crew full classpects and (lazy) Alternian names !!! Just a little brainstorm experiment 

Idk does this hurt more the Homestuck or One piece audience... This definitely has been done before 

BIG Rambles and explanations below (SPOILERS FOR ONE PIECE) 

- SO most of these we based on their canon birthdays, except for Robin, Franky and Jinbei for variety and like... How can I not make Jinbei a violet given he is a fish man 

Luffy: 

-Literally both Heir and Breath fit Luffy so well, given how much change he causes in others and the situation around him. Heir means “a person who inherits” and in the Homestuck world they create and bring change via their aspect, and he really does create change. He values freedom and plus the sign of “The Liberated” really fits if you know what recently developed in the manga ;)

-I think even in alternia he would be the same, even though I dont think Alternia has pirates ( maybe there are space pirates). So lets say he wants to rule as a Space fleet captain but doesnt want it to be under the Condesce so he intentionally/unintentionally starts a revolution. 

- Also he very much wouldnt care about the Hemospectrum, like the carefree lad he is

Zoro :

-Another one that wasnt very hard to fit into. Hes a fighter, he had a kinda difficult life and is generally very action oriented which fits very much into Time-bound. The Knight aspect was put in more for his connection with Luffy and how he vowed to always be by his side, but he also generally protects his friends a lot. Hes very much a servant in his own goal of becoming the strongest swordsman. But ,especially in the earlier arcs, Zoro was always dealt with heavy punches and wounds, yet he still fought through them and pushed foward.

- Again would be very similar to how he is in the series, just maybe like is in an underground fighting rink or something to look for strong players

Nami: - Blood seems like an odd fit for Nami in particular, but it was chosen mostly cuz its an aspect tied to connection and Nami is a very sneaky individual. She is a thief and knows how to swindle ppl in her favor but she did it for her village, her closest bond at the time. Plus Blood-bound are usually seen as spiritual leaders, which I think fits her as the teams navigator. The thief class is mostly there for her thieving nature

- Also you'll notice that some of these guys are pretending to be some other blood casts for story reasons. For Nami specifically, since Lime bloods in homestuck canon are dead, lets say she hides as a teal so she doesnt get killed. Plus it wouldnt be beyond her to have a few different colored outfits to blend in the higher casts so she can steal stuff better

Usopp: 

-Of course this giant ass liar would pretend hes a higher cast then he actually is. Honestly Id think he would lie he is a full violet, but he doesnt have fins, so lets make a stretch he lies about being an olive cuz hes being more realistic. He went to the extend of getting clothes from a dead olive that has blood so he can like “prove hes really an olive (the clothes clearly dont fit). Plus id assume he would be very scared of high bloods, so olives (being the most secluded) would be something he likes 

- For his classpect, Hope bounds are kinda liars, which fits him perfectly. Theyre also very imaginitive and dreamers. Usopp wants to be this great warrior, but he knows he doesnt really have the means to be, so he fakes it. He spins himself a false hope narrative with his tall tales. But Hope-bounds are also driven to be heroes and help. Despite being scared and cowardly, Usopp always manages to get up and help his friends in times of crisis, making hope for himself and sometimes others, thus his Page class. 

Sanji: - Ohohohoho this one was super fucking fun. Other then the obvious, Heart bounds are driven by their passions and ideals and so is Sanji. He is willing to defend them at all times and is proud of them. He isnt willing to hide from it. Now the prince would be a little contradictory for everything ive mentioned about Sanji, but it was chosen mostly for his past and how he had to destroy his princely title to become who he wanted to be. Plus he literally is a prince so it had to be done

- By his own birthday he would be a Fuscia, and in this hypothetical universe Ive made the executive decision that the Condesces epmire got so big she couldnt rule over it all by herself so she genetically engendered 5 fuscia kids (Sanji and his siblinds) to help her rule, but obviously her ran from it.  He hides a Bronze so he could persue his cooking passions

Chopper: 

-Another one that isnt too hard, he is a doctor and a healer so he got the most healer classpect combo. 

- sorry my child you were just simple

Robin:

- She is a Violet by her birthday, but idk it just didnt really fit her personality and general vibe, so she became a Jade for her more motherly mature role in the crew all round. Plus her wanting to live and escape her situation would fit a jade who doesnt want to be be in the brooding caverns

- One more not too complicated classpect. Light- bounds are knowledge seekers and schoolars, which fits Robin well. She is willing to risk everything for the percuit of truth and knowledge. Theyre also kinda mischievous and rule breakers, which i believe Robin has a bit of. Mages are ppl who gains knowledge, which just reiterates what i said 

Franky:

- another changed blood cast, only cuz hed be a fuscia and I simply cant see Franky as one.

-He was one of the most difficult to nail down, but I think we did him justice. Now Void seems kinda unfitting for the flashy Franky, but Void was chosen for the fact that Franky is kind of a confusion with his limitless cyborg gadgets. Plus Equius is a void player and he is an engineer so might as well . The Sylph also doesnt seem like the most obvious fit but he kinda is a healer of the Thousand Sunny who he made and maintains, along with other weapons and machinery and even his own body.

Brook: 

- His classpect is much more surface level. Space-bounds connected to the arts and Brook is a musician so its a fit. Plus they tend to rescycle things and make them into something new, which kinda goes in line with Brook kinda getting a new life. Maid goes also in line with his musicalness, but also both the Maid players in Homestuck are kinda connected to death

Jinbei:

-Another one that got changed because he just had to be a violet. He is always a fish man its just how it is

- Another one that was difficult, cuz Jinbei is relatively new and doesnt have the mountains of screentime as the rest,  so his classpect was done a little loosely. Rage players are there for truth and justice, but theyre also bring chaos an confusion. This doesnt fit in with Jinbei until you add the prince title, a destroyer class. In my mind this causes a contrast that kinda fits Jinbeis wish for order and stability. He wants to do anything for the people hes close to. Idk his im kinda mulled over cuz I dont know him too well

after trying to work out some character details for an entirely unrelated au i got caught up thinking about that fucking starfish book again, and it finally really occurred to me why i have such an issue with it. a lot of rambling and proposed edits below

i mean, obviously its all down to how weirdly written the rachels are, but like, i finally managed to articulate why instead of just rolling my eyes and moving on lol

Mean Rachel is... fine, i guess? in theory its a good vehicle to explore the more bloodthirsty and violence-craving aspects of rachel's personality, although i truly dont believe she'd just magically turn into a giant dickhead. in my opinion Mean Rachel should be more like No-Filter Rachel. doesnt go out of her way to, like, physically threaten random mean girls at the mall with knives, but also doesnt bite her tongue and isnt afraid to say what she really thinks

and Mean Rachel's stance on weakness and strength is weird. rachel has never looked down on anyone for being weak. maybe it's a trait she wouldnt want applied to her own self, but to me it seems more like she resents other people for being allowed to be "weak", for lack of a better word. a lot of rachel's internal conflict in other books is that she seems to almost envy the people that dont have to shoulder the mental and emotional burden that she does by being the team's berserker. one of the very first things we see rachel do after meeting elfangor is physically shield cassie from having to watch him get eaten. that says... a lot, that rachel views herself as a protector, and that its her job to shield people like cassie from having to witness true horrors

so in my opinion Mean Rachel should keep the protector mindset that rachel already has, but with a much more pronounced attitude of contempt. maybe Mean Rachel is finally able to confront the others (jake and cassie in particular) about how they view her as a necessary evil while still embracing her own bloodthirst. (well, maybe she does actually do this in the book because i dont 100% remember, but in my hypothetical rewrite she'd do it in a way that doesnt turn her into a cartoon villain and actually gets the audience to sympathize with her a little)

and Nice Rachel..... oh Nice Rachel.....

Nice Rachel is like completely antithetical to everything we know about rachel as a character. okay yeah she likes shopping, but to distill this side of her to a vapid boy crazy pushover mallrat is kind of sad actually. rachel is such a cool character because she's not that, shes written to intentionally subvert that trope. so my proposal here is that if the other one is No-Filter Rachel, this one should be Too-Much-Filter Rachel. the rachel that actively wants a chance at a normal life, who wants a boyfriend she can hold hands with in public, who keeps up with her grades and her gymnastics practice and looks after her sisters without worrying about screaming trauma nightmares or facing death every other day. the side of rachel that bubbles up during her internal crises that's acutely terrified of the person she's becoming.

also, since Mean Rachel is about as subtle as a truck, new Nice Rachel should include the part of her that knows how to bat her eyelashes and twirl her hair enough that people think she's a vapid mallrat, because it's better that than one of the other animorphs catch onto her emotions. this would probably pretty easily work on marco, as he already sees her that way, and i think it would be fun to see cassie flustered by a pretty girl. tobias and jake would see through it easier i think, but it isnt like she cant find other tactics to prolong their inevitable questioning as long as possible. (and ax and rachel dont like each other so who knows). i mean, the girl is smart. plus this would give us a pretty clear brains vs brawn dichotomy to explore, instead of... whatever that was in the book. brawn vs complete and utter spinelessness i guess

i also think Nice Rachel being actually afraid of morphing is silly so i think Filtered Rachel should either choose not to use it specifically to distance herself from the war effort or only use it for fun purposes, because she hopes (wants, needs) Unfiltered Rachel to handle the dirty jobs. so then the two rachels' conflicts with each other is less that Mean Rachel hates Nice Rachel for existing, but that Filtered Rachel treats Unfiltered Rachel the exact same way that she accuses the others of treating her, which i feel like is more indicative of rachel's character arc..... even if itd make later entries more redundant in that regard. oh well cant win 'em all

also the mean = wears leather and nice = wears pretty dresses thing is really stupid

Honestly maybe it’s just me but I feel like the specialists as a whole generally do better in school and are more academically oriented than the winx. Like I was thinking about it and I feel like Brandon even though he may not look it is rlly rlly intelligent and is probably a top scorer and technically is at red fountain on scholarship from a sponsor so he has to basically maintain good grades. Riven realistically is on a scholarship too considering his background and like he is already shown to be crazy smart outside a classroom too and his pride probably wouldn’t let him not top the class. Timmy is Timmy and tbh as the resident strategist, high scores are probably a requirement. Helia gives me what they call in Asia “closet mugger” vibes which is basically someone who always seems to be carefree and not studying in public but goes back and just grinds their work non stop and actually secretly studies super hard. Sky too probably has to have damn good grades to keep face in front of his father and just get him off his back for as many things as possible.

Among the winx tho I like to think their grades are still afloat even though they may not have the need to be as academic driven. Tbh I like to think musa gets the best grades and tecna and flora arent that far behind. I think Aisha would also be quite a high scorer and Bloom WOULDNT be far behind. Tbh I like to think that Stella has a very natural flare for the exams and like she can get away with Minimal studying and still do pretty well. Idk I think overall red fountain just seems damn competitive and rlly stressful in comparison to alfea?

Speaking of sch systems I rlly wonder what prompted the change of saying alfea education is 5 years, to 3 years eventually

In reality I imagine there's more non magical people who want to pick up a sword over people with powerful enough magic to get into Alfea. Bloom didn't get into Alfea because she has good grades, she's there because she's a fairy from a dead planet

The girls are all around the grades spectrum

Stella has the worst ADHD and has never studied in her life, I'm sorry but she gets high C's at the most. Usually scraping by with a C-. I mean that one's just canon, she's always close to failing a class

Tecna intentionally doesn't do her work because she doesn't care but always gets A+ on exams. She calculates the bare minimum she needs to do to get a C, and does that, and no more

Bloom is barely doing better than her, most of this stuff is new to her so she's REALLY struggling, Flora helps her study and the teachers always grade her easier so she's a B/C students

Aisha has a fuck ton of tutors but never gave a fuck about school. She's a B student

Musa needs a scholarship so she's a A student, tho Musa starts slipping to A/B after she battles Darkar, because her scholarship changes to a Magical strength one like Stella's

Flora for some reason really likes school?? She intentionally goes above and beyond because she just likes it so she usually barely edges out above Musa because she's a teacher's pet and they like giving her extra credit

As for the guys, I also imagine they're crammed pretty far close to the top of their school

Sky and Brandon have had tutoring from hell to make sure they represent Eraklyon properly

Helia has been surrounded by this curriculum his whole life and can straight up bother the headmaster for tutoring if he needs it

Riven constantly mentions things he learned in class, genuinely he seems to really love RF and what it teaches about physical stuff. He's a huge combat and survivalist nerd. He didn't have the best education at his old school so he lags in the not physical subjects, but not by much and studies very often. I imagine RF is his chance to get away from his family and break the cycle, so he tries his hardest to show that letting him come to RF was a good choice

Timmy is a intelligent nerd, but probably has the lowest grades of the guys because his physical combat skills are shit and that's a pretty big part of RF

Who fucking knows what's up with how long these school years last, I have no clue

well well, tears still taste good. guess who? first of all, i love daemons character development SO much! ive got the feeling as if this part is about him. like its not totally but his character is SO big there. i love how whiny and desperate he is. he feels like the man who gave his life to save his wife. the brothers' relationships !! the first scene got me 1) a little amused 2) softened 3) thinking. 1) drunk bubbling mess daemon? i giggled. he does hilarious things. 2) THE brothers relationships TT how viserys takes care of him like he IS the baby brother? oh and i never really noticed you using it in another parts so it made SO much sense for me here. as ive said, it made this part SO abt daemon. and how daemon sees his older brother as the father figure while next to him hes just a rebellious child whos saying 'fucking viserys' and then beggs him to let him wed. GOT ME CHOKING ON MY THOUGHTS 3) i was confused at first. yeah he sees viserys as the father figure but. was he that drunk to just mistake him? to talk to the dead? were these just his true feelings? AND one time when he said kepa and viserys stopped talking i even got a thought that maaaybe daemon does it intentionally and manipulatively. but hes too baby brother for this. AND also i was confused bc ?? bro?? youre married? in valyrian way? its even more valuable? why r u mopping? so that made me think even MORE abt his character's development AND depth. bc this inner conflict causes self-hatred? maybe not this in particular but he absolutely does think he deserves love. neither from his wife nor from the brother. BOOM the circle is closed! the number of issues this character has and the way you empicture them are amazing. (not me wanting to see more daemon being desperate for love and EVERYONE's approval. just imagine him finally having the wedding with the reader in the morning and at midnight he presses his tear-stained face to his bride's hip, begging to not leave him and not despise him) i love this ineer conflict that generates the conflict between brothers and vice versa. these being SO connected just make them more significant and intense. hits hard. (sorry, im dry and tired so not so many emotions today) then THE king just goes to a museum klerk in the sake of his brother? ok later. BTW! i LOVE how you got museum involved! thanks for not abandoning it TT i find idea of creating a westeros' history museum and then making it so connected with the characters it means to tell about so enchanting!! youre really big brained for it! IM GLAD I GOT YOU FEELING THOSE THREE SCENES. like i mentioned before, i had the fic written halfway before finishing it yesterday, so though i know what happens in the fic, it wasn't so fresh in my memory, so when i reread it T_T i was so satisfied with how i made them interact. drunk daemon is vulnerable daemon, honest with the alcohol and i luv him. i also love their relationship so much. my younger bro is also 4 years younger than me and sometimes i look at him and i think damn that was the kid i helped walk dafaq T_T so yeah. daemon is forever a baby in viserys eyes, esp since its just him and daemon

yeah so what got me thinking about this was a gifset of a bunch of m!leven moments of mikes actions and what he says to el and i was looking through the comments and they were all like “actions are his love language!! hes just an awkward kid thats bad with words!” and its not so much that those actions cant depict love, its just that theres usually something so much bigger and louder for byler that theyre choosing to ignore or mike does something after one of those moments that negates one of the moments theyre talking about.

one example of them hyping up a mlvn moment and ignoring a bigger byler moment is “youre the most important thing to me in the world” compared to “it was the best thing ive ever done”. those are technically dialogue not actions but its the way theyre delivered.

mike says els the most important thing to him during the sauna test episode. he says it when he’s trying to explain himself to el and why he lied to her and how hopper was making him stay away from her. he says this line so casually in an attempt to get her back and el completely ignores it and says that hopper was right to keep him away. its not even a “moment” its just a line and its not given any attention at all. i didnt even know what melvns were referring to at first because it wasnt set up to be a memorable and impactful sentence. its literally completely ignored.

meanwhile “it was the best thing ive ever done” is a tearful confession of mike telling will that the best decision of his life was befriending him in kindergarten. it’s an entire monologue, not just a line thrown into an argument. he’s crying. the lighting and mood is very dramatic meant to show so much emotion. it’s not a scene or a line you forget about, whether youre into byler or not. i cant believe how much melvns defend their ship with that line when this line is clearly meant to be more important. i also think its interesting that he described el as a “thing” but here he only describes the action of asking will to be his friend as a “thing”. as if el is kinda this material accessory rather than his girlfriend. why didnt he just say “person”? he does in s4 when he says “youre the most incredible person in the world” but that sentence doesnt include what she is and what she means to him.

another thing they hype up that has a byler related argument is mike calling her everyday for 353 days. he doesnt continue calling her everyday in s2. he stopped when will was in danger because he was more concerned about him than el. i also wanna say that doing this isnt necessarily romantic by default. if nancy had never gotten confirmation that barb died i wouldnt put it past her to do something like this as well. when s2 picks up its a year later and shes still grieving a lot and she and jonathan go all the way to murrays to give barb’s family and nancy too some closure for her death.

something that they hype up that is negated by something else mike does is the cabin “i love her and i cant lose her again” line. that lines not so powerful when he cant say it to her face. hes said it out loud before, the only explanation for why he cant say it to her face now and even then at the end of s3 is because he knows its not true. and now he wont even say it to anyone else either. he could have told will that “that thing” he didnt say was that he loves her but he didnt. and as el said, he cant even write it. he doesnt love her.

and heres some more negative melvn actions that they refuse to acknowledge

mike wont let her touch him when they kiss. he even stops the kiss intentionally to sing.

when mike was biking to the movie theater and talking to el saying he’d see her tomorrow, el was obviously way more excited than he was.

he didnt try to apologize to her right after their fight/break up. he did with will. in the pouring rain.

he doesnt kiss her back in the last episode of s3 and he looks very confused after.

hes not nearly as excited as el is at the airport. hes not even looking at her while theyre walking together. same with at the rink.

and as for byler:

he looks at his lips at the movie theater. when have we ever seen something like that with mike and el?

stayed with mike for like 2 whole days when he was flayed in s2. he literally never left his side until they went to hops cabin.

hes a lot softer with will when el isnt there. this goes for s2 and s4. without the distraction of needed to play the Straight Boyfriend role he’s just nice and sweet with will instead of being an asshole like he was at the beginning of this season and in s3. the moment el leaves mike tells him that he felt like he lost him and they work better as a team.

in conclusion: mike gay. happy pride.

Go watch Final Space

This poor series that has been jumping from platform to platform is releasing its third season this march on adult swim and HBO maxx and by god it deserves to go the 6 seasons it’s creator Olan Rogers thinks it can go. 

One of the main reasons this show got a bad rap at the start was people insisting that because of its art style and genre it was a Rick & Morty clone let me say it loudly for the people who still think this 

FINAL SPACE IS NOT A KNOCK OFF RICK & MORTY

Rick & Morty is a Sc-Fi comedy series with action Final Space is a Sci-Fi action series with comedy now that might seem like very little difference but it is. Final Spaces in series history and lore is its own unique thing that gets built up and expanded on as the series goes on. It is not a backdrop for things to happen to our protagonist.

Another issue people had when this series came out early was the main character Gary being annoying, and yes he was, and this was done so intentionally as the series goes on he drops a lot of these annoying tendencies as he develops and grows (also he was alone for like 5 years yeah he was desperate for interaction)

But let me tell you some reasons I love Final Space and I’ll try my best to not spoil things, cause you should really give this show your time. While season one is a little rough season 2 really shines and season 3 looks like its going to tear my god damn heart out. 

1: Found Family 

Final Space seems to really love this idea that family is not just the people who share your blood but the people around you who stay. This series showcases both good parents and bad parents BUT also shows good surrogate parental figures AND bad ones and thats something i rarely see. The series goes out of its way to show how vulnerable people desperate for a place to belong will attach themselves to the wrong people. All the while our main cast develops and strengthens their bonds over the seasons making a weird family that is always has room for one more. 

2: Character Growth

I am a sucker for good character growth and Gary Goodspeed gets some get great character growth as well as Little Cato and Knightfall (who was very unexpected as she seemed like one of those character types who wouldnt). Like let me tell you if you think Gary is just a happy go lucky idiot who doesnt have a bunch of emotional trauma you’re wrong, trauma which the show address and he grows from dealing with in healthy ways. 

3: Using the Multiverse as Character Study

Now i could talk forever about this because this show uses the idea of multi realties in a way not many pieces of media do. See normally the idea is just this play ground to explore how characters or the world could be different or as a means to cheaply bring back a character to maintain staus quo. But Final Space does something interesting it explores how this people both are and are not you. They may look, sound, and act like you but they have experienced a live different from your own, and in this way will never fully be you.

Ex. A character comes from an alternate realty the person they loved died there but is alive in this one and while they play with idea of being with this person instead but finds that they just can’t because this just isn’t the person they loved and they never will be. 

They also use this a means of almost existential horror with the inevitably of fate, if in hundred different timelines you tried to do the same thing but failed each time would you still try? Would it even mean anything if what happens after is worse? Like this series really does hit you with these moments and ideas to ponder and it never feels out of place.

4: The Humor is Really Weird and Fun

Like its really hard to pin down exactly what this humor is but I’d say its very character based like these jokes just would not work anywhere else or with anyone else. The series has a very odd sense of humor that you just cant pin down, from like witty dialogue delivered in just the funniest ways, to a literal piss war to a deadpan AI talking about death to an alternate version of yourself telling you you’ll never grow a mustache to a guy who wants to be stabbed cause he thinks it’d be cool to silly background gags you might miss, the shows comedy is just very enjoyable and fun. 

Like honestly there is a lot more I could talk about but its all so specific and spoiler filled like you have no idea how hard this was till now. Anyway I hope this helps some people take the time to give Final Space a chance. Like I said the start is slow and Gary is a bit much at the start but by the season 1 finale you definitely wont feel like you have wasted your time. Final Space is a hell of a ride that’ll go places you definitely did not expect.

ok 3.0+1.0 longpost -_-

it’s difficult for me to describe how I feel about 3.0+1.0 as a film because it’s artistic vision is just a 25 year cultivated response to the otaku fixation on nge. this film hardly feels like it can stand on it’s own feet as a coherent story -- it’s constantly introducing and reinterpreting symbols, contexts and concepts in order to lay down some kind of grounded world while also wanting to be evocative of the freeform flow of feelings occurring in EoE/Ep25/26. if this movie was it’s own thing and just living in the shadow of it’s predecessor, I could probably live with it and maybe even say that I liked it, but it’s flip flopping on if it wants the metanarrative to drive the story or if it wants to erect a new mythology of Eva altogether completely squanders maximizing the potential of doing either. what were left with is a very cowardly iteration of the message at the end of nge -- “human connections are important, even if they can be painful” becomes “ if we show you what you wanted to see for the past nearly 30 years, will you grow up now?”

"Defeated" feels like how I would describe the ethos of this film.

reiQ’s farmer adventures were cute, but in a way that felt bittersweet- because this character is not actually rei. not simply because she is not ayanami, but because she carries no actual development from her previous iterations like the other characters of rebuild. reiQ answers the question of “what if rei was actually as moe as she looks in official art” but forgets to pull the rug out from beneath you to unveil the depths of her turmoil. while Ayanami would say “I am not your doll to control”, reiQ has almost every aspect of her character dictated to her by other people - and this is depicted as fulfilling and human (because Anno wants you to get a job and have kids). not even her name is her choice. her sudden death only exists to serve as a motivator for shinji. I wanted to believe that this was some commentary on how a relationship without pain and loss cant exist, but it seems unlikely as rei (1, 2, 3, Q, Ayanami, lilith, etc) does not have an arc in this film. also the TV production quality of the village segment made it feel like I was watching a 12 episode sol as opposed to an actual film.

funnily enough, my feeling towards reiQ made me feel retroactive distaste towards 1.0 and 2.22. I’ve never thought rebuild was good, that much has never been a secret. 1.0 and 2.22 however carried enough over from the original series that it felt like the original characters were picking themselves up and getting better. I was happy seeing asuka, who had previously spent 26 episodes and a movie being miserable, open herself up to happiness. I was happy seeing rei connect more with shinji. even if the characters had to become simplified versions of themselves to find their own peace, it didnt feel thatbad. I didn’t realize until 3.0 came out how little this tetralogy had to it beyond puppeteering iconography and hoping that fans find meaning in it. 3.0 and 3.0+1.0 carried the same conviction of 1.0 and 2.22 of showing you characters you like doing things you wished they did, but with the support of the original series environment withering away to unveil half baked ideas, convoluted plots and meaningless regurgitation of every meaningful image this series has produced. seeing rei stripped even farther than her bare bones as reiQ put into focus what I thought I appreciated about 1.0 and 2.22.

there were a few times throughout this movie where I was trying to figure out what it was that anno was trying to say. as stated in my op paragraph, the film does carry it’s own simplified message about how important it is to grow up and face the real world, but this message largely betrays the framing. its cowardly. the pain that shinji experience does not come from the Other anymore, it is all self inflicted. learning to endure hardship simply became a matter of overcoming your own feelings, because now everyone else in your life effortlessly accepts you. there are 3 girls with who dont have any problems anymore and a solarpunk empire that would be all over you if you simply stood on your own two feet. there is no asuka experiencing hedgehog dilemma with shinji, there’s only asuka who exists so shinji can learn how to confess to a girl. there is no misato constantly subjecting shinji to a interplay of projecting her issues onto him and attempting to mother him (with varying degrees of success), there’s just shinjis step mom who accepts that she is responsible for him (which feels GREAT to see but feels bad when you think about what it sacrificed to get there). for a guy whose complicated relationship with otaku culture has bled into his work, you would think that idealistic fantasy of the real world wouldnt be the crutch of the delivering his message. when I say that “defeated” is the ethos of this film, I mean that it is so lacking in purpose compared to its predecessors that it wears itself thin trying to superficially have something for every conceivable audience while throwing out the meat of why people liked those things in the first point.

I was surprised to see that it was gendo who survived as the most introspective part of the film. i’m conflicted towards how I feel about a gendo redemption arc, but I feel as if his instrumentality sequence itself was decently shot (I hate having to compare it to ep 25/26 but it lacks the artistic flare for such a big budget film) and very well articulated. there’s a beautiful story in here about realizing your parents are people and parents realizing the responsibility they owe to their children, but I wish it could have been explored in a different film where characters are less held back by their established canon. honestly watching this whole sequence made me wonder if anno is still friendly with goro miyazaki LMAO

I was largely uninterested in the fight scenes, I think the only one that genuinely made me feel something was the one towards the end where asuka turns into an angel. the poor fight choreography coupled with weird shot composition and the overbearing usage of cg makes fight sequences overbearing and kind of difficult to decipher. cg fights are largely 1 eva vs a swarm of enemies that take up the screen, all of them having the same line weight which just ends up making all parties involved look like a mesh of colors. there arent real stakes for the most part either, asuka and mari tear through waves of enemies with effortless precision accuracy in a way that isnt visually or technically impressive.

believe it or not, I don’t actually dislike Mari. Mari enacts what Anno sought to do with the Rebuilds -- to destroy Evangelion. Mari (literally!) falls out of the sky into the story and is not gripped by the pain of the hedgehog’s dilemma as she exhibits her adoration for most things. her romance with shinji is intentionally analogous to how anno perceives his relationship with his wife -- that she saved him by encouraging him to live in the real world. the actual, textual ridiculousness in her character is softened when you realize that she’s just another component of his 4 movie long exhibition of telling everyone his life is better now that he’s successful and has a hot and talented wife.

is it worth complaining about all the crotch or ass shots. i think we all feel the same way about it. anyway i have more thoughts but these are my loose ones.

Yeah by saying that A could easily has passed it if the script is simply a "complete" thing like in a way like "of course since he recovered all of his memories he would have passed" like the previous anon said which I personally disagree with aigskbs. Like you said recognizing the problem and be able to pass those problems are different thing and by saying so I meant if A simply just build the script as simple process to make the seed of light where it has nothing do to with his current mental stage but just simply, "a script" how long it takes for him to success it would appear comical, but putting into perspective of it is how long it takes him to process all of the can of worm of guilt and self hatred and doubt and trauma it wouldnt appears as much of a "stretch" I guess?

And personally I think dubbing LC journey just as "follow the script, make Carmen dream real like we baking cake" it would have been like, ok enough but I legit couldn't care less for LC as much as I'm now if the plot is just that and not someone who struggling to break out of the own circle of cycling through the same tragedy that led him to that point all over again to finally be able to look at it straight through and walk pass it I guess?

And I personally previously thought that Angela role is simply to set up the stage of the story by leading the Sephirah until that point that the manager met them in game, I personally think she is not allowed to interfere further more than this since in LC it is specifically stated that by Angela herself that A blocked her from interfering with the process of the manager interact with the Sephirah and the spontaneous process of suppression must be in the manager hand (irrc day 42 dialogues) where Angela guide X toward a certain direction but wouldn't be able to ditate the every actions since it defeated the point of, having X, in the first place (irrc to open up another possibilities that previous lob unable to achieve with the current manager).

And the way the script resetted lot and lot follow LC storyline is the fact that the manager fails and not, Angela jacking the script and it is actually something I kinda :// with lor plot about tbh? Via many thing in LC we learned where the script is surrounding the manager since it is intentionally connected everything to A and if A not want to move from his own position everything will stays in static (I.e there is a literal dialogue goes saying this is a prison that A trapped himself in and he needs to understand that the key is always in his hand but Angela cant help him with the discovering since he needs to realize it on his own) and lor kinda disputes this for, some reason??? (Also retcon the entire part where Angela said before anything there were quiet since it only A and her in the corp but then A put the Seph there which Angela does not like and request them to go away but A refused said request) And it is something that I kinda sour on lor along with some other stuff honestly?

LobCorp is way more than just that, I agree! The writing has a level of nuance you don't see a lot. Breaking cycles seems to be a big theme in most projmoon media, and I love that so much. LC really is a story about a guy trying so so hard to break out of the past and, ykno, face the future. But it's not just that, it's about everyone trying to do that! Not just A, but the Sephirah, and Angela, and later Roland, and just. so much. Projmoon are literary nerds and they use their powers effectively.

Yeah, that fits with how I see Angela's role. She did the setup so X could have his epiphany. The core component of the seed of light is again, enlightenment, and it seems to specifically be human enlightenment, meaning Angela has no part in it because A did not see her capable as such (machines must act like machines yadda yadda). I disagree with the last point tbh? I don't think it's much of a retcon. The manager still has the capability to fuck up, and the success of the script ultimately hinges on X's success. It just showed that Angela can also fuck up. However, by the time of LC in game loops, she practically perfected the formula. Ergo, Angela's success doesn't mean anything if X can't manage.

oh i would love to talk about this cuz i think its an interesting example we have of galo being autistic and most other characters not rly making much effort to understand where hes coming from or connect w him! so first i gotta mention that in canon theres a lot of wiggle room for interpretation with aina and her and galos relationship just due to how little time its given, but to me it FEELS like they want her to be a parallel to galo (ESPECIALLY true w the lake scene) so sometimes she comes off more as like, also autistic and just doesnt rly mesh in communication styles or understanding why her own attempts at reaching out 2 galo arent working (same as he struggles w his relationship w aina and other ppl, and why theres so many songs abt him and lio Getting Each Other) so like autistic in an opposite direction from him, and sometimes (esp in the ova) it feels like shes meant to b read as allistic and thats why they arent rly meshing. i think the latter is probably more likely to be the intention but the former can b a lot of fun cuz autistic aina <3 anyway moving on

so like to make this more organized im gonna skim thru the ova and the major scene w them from the movie, galo and burning rescue meet in his ova when he introduces himself to them by way of bringing up his special interests and what he assumes are their shared passion for firefighting and everything that goes along w that. ive talked abt this b4 w this scene, but galo bringing his special interests in2 the convo right away and introducing them alongside himself is both a super common autistic way to try to connect w people as well as say hey this is what im about. that obviously doesnt go that well as we get our first introduction of how burning rescue is gonna treat him for the ova and duration of the movie, aina included, in being kind of rude to him (except remi whose very ableist compared to the others) abt it n immediately treating him like an idiot for trying to communicate w them the way thats natural for him. this kind of solidifies how theyll talk abt him and communicate w him for the movie, even as they gain some respect 4 him for saving thyma they dont change how they talk w/about him

im not gonna go over everything in the movie but the lake scene w galo and aina has the very obvious purpose of showing that galo isnt interested in like the potential woman love interest the movie is pushing at him but IS interested in lio, it also serves various other functions some of which being 1) exposition 2) introducing galo and aina as being more alike (paralleled even) than they can rly understand thru their previous attempts at getting 2 know each other 3) SHOWING more how aina and galo have not rly gotten along b4 and showing thru their faltering attempts 2 connect that even if they have stuff in common this is not the romance u r going to get i this movie and they just dont like each other like that

aina and galos communication styles and humor both feel different to me and dont mesh that well, theyre both blunt tho in different ways (aina even told heris galo was ‘honest and too blunt for his own good’ which i think is funny coming from her lol) like galo tries to be expressive and hes got this thing abt Proving himself while aina more quietly does her own thing, galos rly genuine and doesnt rly get that other ppl might not b being genuine (which is smth kr*y took advantage of to lie to him and manipulate him), aina however is rly dry so it comes off as barbed when i think its unintentional and while there r points when shes kind of mean i dont think shes like, going out of her way to hurt his feelings i just think she doesnt rly recognize that galo.. HAS feelings? theres a certain way burning rescue (and in general other characters in promare) treat galo where hes dismissed as being just an idiot for.. being autistic rly and i think thats just smth aina did b4 they had more of a chance to talk one on one and make more of an effort. i dont think she rly treats him the same way she did in the start of the movie and the ova as she does the further the movie goes on. they just didnt know each other very well and no one rly made much of an effort w him b4 then

the long and short of it is that from what we see in the movie it affects his relationship w aina a very similar way it does w burning rescue as general (they function sort of like a single character at times) and galo and aina having dif communication styles (galos very explicitely bcuz he is autistic) shows in making it harder for him to have like, genuine connections and relationships bcuz while galo and aina both sometimes try to extend olive branches to each other (like i think they have trouble getting along but it helped to find common ground) them not rly understanding each other or why the other person does things the way they do was smth intentionally included 4 the straightbaiting bit to work and showing galo and aina wouldnt rly work together and galo and lio r more like. attracted to/intrigued by/instinctively understanding of each other and have that compelling them to get to know each other, n their experiences lend them dif levels of respect towards each other that galo and his coworkers never had. in a way even tho aina made an effort w galo later he had kind of moved on from trying to be friends with his coworkers by then and pursued his relationship w lio instead (again lots of dif reasons they get each other and vibed on a dif level than he had w other ppl, the obvious among them being theyre gay 4 each other lol), tho thats not set in stone n after the events of the movie maybe they can b friends now

I think vmin is real wouldnt it be mean for them to intentionally look romantic with things like 4 o’clock and saying each other soulmates? and how there songs connected.

Seemed like I should answer this.

I don’t wanna say vmin is real because of 4 o’clock and because they call each other soulmates. Let’s talk about those two things first.

Let’s talk about 4 o’clock first. While it’s clear that 4 o’clock is about Jimin (seriously come fight me) because Taehyung confirmed that himself, that doesn’t necessarily confirm them being romantic. (This post will be a mess, but below the cut)

I think many people believe the lyrics of 4 o’clock are romantic, and that’s why many anti-vmin shippers and many anti-shippers (different than non-shippers) in general want to try to argue about the fact that the song is, indeed, about Jimin. This was argued against when Namjoon initially said (and then deleted) that the feeling in the song was inspired specifically by Jimin. Taehyung had described the feeling that he wanted the song to give, and he talked about waiting on a friend. When Namjoon asked him if he had any specific friend in mind, his answer was Jimin. He ended up deleting the part about Jimin with no explanation as to why, so a lot of people said that it wasn’t. However, three years later, we get a new confirmation from Taehyung himself (and Jimin) that the song was, indeed, about Jimin. 

No. He might not have said Jimin specifically. He just said that he wrote it about the time of the dumpling incident, and it was about their fight in the park. Whoever wants to come at me and say that doesn’t mean it’s about Jimin....really. I’m not saying 4 o’clock is a romantic song, okay? But it’s about Jimin because why would Taehyung write an entire song inspired by a moment that happened between him and Jimin when the song has nothing to do with him? Whether or not it’s a romantic song is a different story. But...it’s about them making up in the park, which means that the only person it can possibly be about is Jimin. And people can write songs for friends. It’s not like you write a song for/about someone, and it automatically has to be romantic. People write songs for friends and family all the time. But you know. Tumblr and how everything has to be romantic or nothing at all, so...

But anyway. That whole disclaimer paragraph is a little off topic from the ask. There’s really no lyrics in the song that specifically make it a romantic song. There are some deep meaning lyrics, and some might argue that the reference to the movie make it a romantic song. Specifically about a gay romance since the movie is a gay movie? I don’t know much about the reference, but here’s a block quite from Genius to explain the connection? Whether the song actually references that movie...I’m not sure. I’ve never seen anything where either Namjoon nor Taehyung specifically bring up the movie, so whether that’s true or not is still debatable to me until it comes from one of them themselves. Or if someone can provide the source in which they said so..because I honestly don’t remember them ever saying it. But it might just be a detail I’ve forgotten or something I’ve never seen. (BTS has way too much content for me to keep up with everything.)

RM references the 2016 film, Moonlight, which tells the story of a young, gay, African-American man growing up in Miami. One of its signature lines is:

Runnin' around, catching up all that light. In moonlight, black boys look blue.

Many of the main character’s moments of vulnerability and self-discovery take place under the moonlight. The play on which the film was based was also called, “In Moonlight Black Boys Look Blue.”

Even so. The reference to the movie, if true, still doesn’t necessarily have to mean that it’s a gay love song. Because why that movie was referenced might not be because of the ‘gay’ part of the movie but the ‘moonlight’ part? I don’t know.

On a side note, I somehow think it’s sweet to think that Taehyung was telling Namjoon he was waiting on “a friend” instead of just outright saying Jimin. Part of me likes to wonder if Taehyung was a little shy about telling him it was Jimin when he asked. Another part of me wonders if Namjoon asked him about the specific friend because he had a feeling it was Jimin. (Also, I’m 98% sure that “the moon” that goes to sleep in the song is Jimin. I don’t think it’s a literal line. I think it’s a metaphor. And I think “the moon” is Jimin, and I don’t have to go into my justifications for that because there’s plenty of confirmation (from Taehyung himself) that he sees Jimin as the moon. Those aren’t theories. He literally says it himself.)

All that being said, I’m not trying to negate the possibility of the song being romantic, either. Because it is possible that it’s romantic, too. There’s just no guarantee. The song feels romantic to me, but that doesn’t mean it is.

Moving on, let’s talk about Friend and them calling each other soulmates.

The term soulmates is has a deep meaning, but that doesn’t mean it has to be romantic. It just shows there’s a deep connection between two people. Many languages use this term as something that can possibly be platonic, and even people who speak English sometimes use this as a platonic term. So, needless to say, the part in Friends in which they call each other soulmates doesn’t really confirm romance to me. In fact, it’s the least suspicious, potentially romantic part of the song. To me.

I think something that stands out more is the intimate “Hello, my alien” line and promises to stay together. I could be wrong about the intentions behind “my alien”, but it does feel pretty intimate to me. I’m stating this as an English speaker (though some English speakers may still disagree with my explanation depending on the individual and specific friend culture), and the fact that the lyric was written in English instead of Korean. Typically when we say “my x” it’s pretty intimate. It’s okay to address you friend, “Hello, my friend” but most of the time, adding anything else is a little different. An usually reserved for children or romantic partners. “My baby” “my sweetie” “my love” “my dear” “my star” etc. And, while it’s possible that friends joke around with friends and might say “my wifie” to their best friend, it’s usually in a joking manner. If the lyric was written in Korean, there could be a little more ambiguity here because Korean’s use “our” instead of “my” for many things. If you translate literally, a Korean woman calls her husband “our husband”, but that doesn’t mean she’s sharing her husband with anyone. So the choice to make the lyric in English makes the line seem a little more possessive and intentional to me. Because he’s not our alien (he’s expressed his dislike for being called that). He’s Jimin’s alien.

There are some pretty deep, potentially romantic lyrics in Friends. But again, nothing to be confirmed. Because it’s not obviously romantic. Or strictly romantic.

Still, them calling each other soulmates could be platonic, too.

And now. As for their song connections, I assume you’re talking about how Vmin bloggers often compare their songs and link the songs together. While I see all the possible connections, and they can certainly be suspicious to those of us who make those connections, it’s all just theories. Until Vmin themselves link their songs together, we can only assume that the connections we draw are based in our heads and unintentional. It’s a little silly to say they’re mean for unintentionally creating songs for us to connect to each other. They might not even think of the connections themselves, and it’s just coincidental that they go together so well when we get to analyzing it.

All that being said. I’m not trying to deny the possibility of their songs actually being linked. Because I’m one of the people who can see the connection. But I’m also highly aware of how human minds naturally notice patterns and make connections even without realizing it. And, while I like to think I’m impartial because of my reasoning behind shipping vmin, it doesn’t eliminate the possibility of me still being biased based on that. Because our minds naturally look for confirmation to affirm our own thoughts. It’s why you’re (probably) more likely to be drawn to articles and blogs that stand on the same side as you. Because it’s thought confirming instead of thought provoking.

On the other hand. There are vmin bloggers that say a lot of things I disagree with. Which is actually why I started talking about Vmin on here. Because I don’t necessarily agree with other vmin bloggers. Not saying they’re wrong and I’m right. But I just wanted to share another perspective than the others were giving. I think that’s why any of us start sharing.

i can’t believe i’m writing a supernatural post. on tumblr. in the year are lord hath forgotten, 2020. but here we are i guess. after last week, i binged the episodes i hadn’t seen since i stopped watching in 2016/2017. and oh boy i have THOUGHTS.

first of all, i love the metaphysical take. that 15x19 was actually chucks ending. and next week’s episode will be becky/the fan’s ending. she did say in 15x08 that the climax was stale and the story lacked classic rock, and most importantly, cas. and those are things that rein true to 15x19 too. but since we’re all friends here, i’ll tell you the truth. i don’t trust the writers to go in that direction. maybe i’m just trying to not get my hopes up about finally getting meaningful gay representation. but i just don’t believe it. for now i’m still betting my money on a “where are they now” episode where dean ends up marrying some white woman and naming his kid after cas.

although, it really doesn’t make sense why they WOULDNT bring cas back. (which would honestly make the white picket fence ending im predicting be just that much more terrible and absolutely hilarious) anyway, we know that not only was god able to bring back lucifer, jack was able to bring back cas before, without god-like powers. and i’m assuming jack still wants his dad back? there’s really no reason they can’t or wouldn’t bring him back. but jack said he was taking a hands off approach. i guess that means forgetting about your loved ones? all i’m saying, is it doesn’t make sense. i think we can all agree on that. i mean, why didn’t sam call eileen? or even charlie? bobby? shit don’t add up. and as much as i want to chalk that up to a “planned” intentionally bad ending, i can’t. that seems like too much of a risk.

i mean, take away the personal character issues, the whole lucifer plot line was just stupid. bring him back just to fuck with dean and for micheal to kill him so jack can absorb his power? that’s literally it?? also it took them a whole decade to kill lucifer, micheal does it in two seconds. and since when can lucifer kill death with just a snap? and it was never explained how they even knew jack was absorbing power in the first place. how did he unwillingly absorb it from plants but not sam and dean? it was very messy to say the least. but i’ve come to expect messy from the supernatural writers. thats why i can’t trust there’s a “true ending.” plus, all of this is very reminiscent of the johnlock secret episode conspiracy.

all i’m saying is, don’t get your hopes up. if the writers truly wanted deancas to be canon, they would’ve done it seasons ago. not given us a half-assed, seemingly one sided, love confession. where the character LITERALLY goes to ultra mega hell for being gay. all that, after a decade of queerbaiting. and even if, miraculously, we get canon destiel. like truly, reciprocated, canon destiel. that doesn’t mean you should forgive the writers. they were always in control of the story. and they will have had chosen to give us last minute gays, instead of seasons where dean and cas’ relationship flourished. they will have had chosen to appease homophobic fans till the last minute. we gays deserve better than to only be shown after 10 grueling years of queerbaiting.

this has been in my draft for so long since CYSM i decided to just post it...lengthy and messy because originally it was just a prompt :D also inspired by she-ra and the princesses of power lol i love that show

summary: you got captured by yeonjun, the crown prince of the fairy kingdom in the magic forest

the fairy kingdom has been one of the greatest protectors of the forest for thousands of years, along with other kingdoms in the magic island

the island being covered almost 1/3 by the forest, the fairy kingdom remains one of the biggest and strongest kingdom to ever exist

however, it is also not the friendliest kingdom as it is hidden deep in the forest to protect the ancient magic and stones

the foreign organization exploits the hell out of the island but never get to touch the forest as it is protected by magic and ancient spirit of the ecosystems

the leader of the evil interstellar organization wasn’t so dumb either, they waited for years preparing the best strategy to get what they want: the ancient magic and (said to be) stolen stones to combine with their crazy technology so they can conquer the universe

he also has a younger son, prince taehyun, your half-brother, who happens to be a genius and good with technologies. But his father wanted him to be a warrior, not some nerd. So he’s never really fond of him :(

one day you grew tired of being seen as a delicate doll that needs protection, you’re a trained warrior that’s always at least on the top 3 in class. Plus you’re older than taehyun so you need to prove yourself to your father if you want to be force captain and to take the throne one day (yes i’ve been watching a lot of she-ra) but your father just couldn’t risk it

one day, the your kingdom poisoned the forest and unlike any previous failed attempt, this time it finally worked

the day the invasion occurred, you sneaked out of the evil kingdom to join the force that your half-brother co-lead... i mean, you have lots of knowledge about the history and ecosystem of the magic forest, thanks to the help of your best friend, healer elf prince!soobin, whose kingdom had been corrupted by your father (but he still hangs around bc they did no harm to the elf kingdom, just taking over the whole region)

i mean, what could possibly go wrong?

well thee answer is: everything

you got captured IMMEDIATELY by the fairies

even better, you’re captured by the fairy prince!yeonjun himself. you were sneaking in the trees under the moon light, in the dark dark forest. and thats how you ended up being strangled by the prince himself and tied up with vines and thorns

you were in an awe the entire time bc you had no idea that the fairy prince would be this beautiful and ethereal. he just looks so... delicate and magical and soft, despite the fact that he almost choked you to death

you’ve just never seen any creature as beautiful as him, all glowing and sparkling softly under the moonlight

the glimmering luxurious pastel dress that he wore fits him perfectly, and the flower crown on his blonde locks made little butterflies fly upon him. His eyes cold but shines brightly, and everywhere he goes, he leaves trails of fairy dust and sparkles

but to your surprise, he’s kinda mean and short tempered. A frown never leaves his soft peachy lips

one look at you and he goes "... and what could the infamous little princess of the evil kingdom be doing in MY land? doing MEAN and EVIL stuff? hm??”

you’ve heard about the fairies not being the most friendly creature but you thhought they were just vicious, not sarcastic and seems angry all the time

and strangely enough, unlike other fairies, he didn’t have wings. And the flower crown on his blonde hair looked more like horns growing out of his head

he grew impatient from your lack of response but he couldn’t kill you yet, he needed you to get back at the evil kingdom

so he brought you to his kingdom—the kingdom’s prison, to be exact. But it’s just a beautiful chamber filled with wild plants and flowers and glowing fireflies underneath the moonlight, you were kinda confused when he said it’s a prison since the concept of prison that you grew up with is practically just a cold dark chamber of torture

“THIS is your PRISON? you sure you’re not taking me on a fairy date just now? to meet your pretty little fairy friends?” you said with a smug on your face, knowing that he wouldnt dare to intentionally hurt you, as he is a creature of natural protector despite his short temper

so you use this opportunity to annoy the hell out of him

“pretty flower crowns you got there” “btw where are your wings? aren’t all fairies supposed to have sparkly translucent wings?” “honestly i thought prisons are supposed to be a little more dark and intimidating you know, not like this pretty fairy garden”

you’d give him headache and the urge to use some forbidden magic curse on you but he didn’t because your corpse wouldn’t do any good

“these are HORNS! and not every fairy have the same physical features, stop stereotyping us! it’s disrespectful” he snapped

you were just complimenting him why is he always so cranky

i mean his horns look so beautiful they could easily be mistaken as a crown...

after gathering some information, you broke out of the prison with the help of the dying forest and weakening magic force

but you didn’t want to return just yet. you needed to gather more information as the forest started to heal

also you’re kinda lost your way back home lol

your father was FURIOUS, he blamed everyone for your abduction. even your little brother got enough beating for that

as days gone by, you feel like you’re getting closer to the secrets of the island, and also the fairy prince

and every encounter with him it’s just consist of a lot of bickering and sword fighting and being angry at each other

one time your faces were far too close to each other it made you let your guards down, but you snapped out of it quickly and proceed to strangle him

for some reason he never try to actually kill you and you never seem to get the right chance to kill him. it’s weird coming from you bc that’s literally what’s you’re trained for, to kill the prince. you still gotta prove yourself, remember?

but you’re getting used to each other’s presence so much that it became amusing for him

“wow (y/n) this is actually a fun date idea. I’m giving it a 4/10. could’ve been a solid 10 if you didn’t try to stab me in the ribs tho :/“ he said in the middle of a sword fight

one day you’re battling in some strange part in the forest, you were spying on him but got caught

but little did you know, it was one of the forest’s sacred sites. It’s filled with the strongest magic and ancient technology and guarded by forces you don’t know yet

you got struck by some ancient magic, resulting in some strange event to happen. which led you to be captured by the fairy prince yeonjun himself, again

you were kinda weak from the struck so most of the time he’s the one guarding you in the prison, keeping an eye on you and limiting your suspicious moves

so all you can do in the meantime is to either insult his annoyingly beautiful prison or annoy the prince himself

he always seems pissed and suspicious for no reason so it’s kinda fun to you

“are you in pain or something? did you get struck by some strange magic too? why are you always so mean and angry?? are you hurting somewhere ??"

“excuse YOU? am i supposed NOT TO ?? maybe i wouldn’t be so mean and angry all the time if the evil kingdom DON’T try to exploit the forest ALL THE TIME, every think of that? does that ring a bell? here's a hint: i’m talking about YOU, princess (y/n)” he’d roll his eyes, angrily walking in circles. kinda mad at his dad for making him guard you

i mean... there should be enough guards in this castle, right?

little did you know, the magic is actually weakening... leaving the royal bloods’ magic the only force that can protect the forest, for now

“for the hundreth time, i am NOT a princess! i’m a fucking warrior, so stop calling me that!” sometimes you get pissed for his sarcastic remarks and his attitudes in general too. also this time you’re not really feeling well after the struck

“whatever you say, my princess” he’d blow flower petals on your face before giving you a smirk, dancing away gracefully as he picks flowers and tuck them into his flower crown... dozens of flowers immediately grows back for every single flower he picks from the ground, what a sight

you’d blush and try to look away. he never used his magic and charms for this type of things, usually it’s just for some silly pranks or weak attempts temporary torture in the battlefield (bc using magic drains his energy quickly)... so why now? was he really using magic or was is it just you?

after so many encounters and chances of being alone together, you sure know how to get on each other’s nerves... and each other’s head

you were there for a couple days, it’s kinda weird that you didn’t try to escape

turned out you were kinda sick, the strange magic struck weakened your senses and abilities. but you didnt want to admit it nor let him know that you’re literally vulnerable right now

you were smart enough to use this opportunity to get close to him, telling lies about how pitiful your life’s been as a princess and how you just want to prove yourself to your father, you don’t even care about conquering the universe

he didn’t buy that at first, not until you told him about how the evil kingdom sees the forest. you’d say your father thinks the fairies are the bad guys bc they stole the stones from the ancestors of your father’s planet thousands of years ago and that they’re just trying to get it back to heal their dying planet

you didn’t lie at that part, it was true... at least for the invaders. that’s how he kinda get surprised he had to tell the fairies’ version of the story

turned out that it’s all just a misunderstanding between the two parties, but unlike yeonjun being the democratic soon-to-be leader that he is, you still want approval

which you can only get by killing the fairy crown prince yeonjun before his coronation

but jokes on you, you kinda have feelings for him too. you didnt even try to kill him when he fell asleep holding you in his arms... you’d always say to yourself that ‘it wasn’t the right time’ to kill him just yet

of course it wasn’t. there never was, and never will be. you love him, dumbass. even the moon shining upon you the two of you could easily tell

he’d start to tell you secrets... secrets of the forest, his ancestors and families, the kingdom, the magic island, everything

you knew the forest is dying, but what you didn’t know is that he never wanted to be king,, he doesn’t feel like he’s qualified to be one. hell, he doesn’t even have wings, and he’s got horns growing out of his head. no fairy king or queen written in history of the magic island to not have wings, ever

“but it’s not required, right? literally nobody said you’ve got to be born with wings in order to be a fairy king. it’s already in your blood, yeonjun.” you would reassure him as you lift his chin so you can clearly see his eyes... all shaky and scared

he’d kiss you and you swore you almost forgot about your personal mission of luring and getting him into your trap

he told you about when he was just a fairy child... other young fairies and forest creatures bullied him for having horns and no wings,, i mean... he’s a fairy after all. it’s actually really natural, it’s just unusual among the immature creatures

one day he ran away way too far out of the forest... to the giant thorned vine bushes that looked like a cavern... it was dark and scary, he’s never seen this part of the island before

he didn’t know that it’s an entrance to the darker side of the island, where your father landed the ship and invaded a whole region of natural resources and innocent creatures, including the elf kingdom

and then he met a little girl, holding a basket full of flowers and wild berries, with a messy flower crown made of wild flowers on her head. she approached him and asked him softly if he’s lost and why is he crying

he was scared at first because she’s dressed like human, but after a while he learned that she’s harmless. he told her he’s scared that one day he’s gonna turn into a monster bc of his growing horns

“horns? i thought these were a crown... a very peculiar one, i must admit. but didn’t you say you’re a prince? a prince is supposed to wear a crown, right?” the little girl said brightly

“here, let me tuck these flowers in between your hairs and horns... now it’s a flower crown! it’s always been a crown, but now you have flowers!” she would jump around happily, which made the little prince smiled a little too

the story kinda shocked you... could it be that...?

no, snap out of it! it’s not even important nor relevant to your current circumstances

but you never thought that the crown that he proudly wore all the time has been... a growing pain for him

speaking of pain, the part of your back that’s got struck by the strange magic the other day keeps hurting you, and that night it started to get worse, two vertical scars started to form, followed by black liquid running down from each one

“you’re hurt! why didn’t you tell me?” he snapped, his voice filled with worries and anger. maybe it’s because of the fact that black blood could only mean one thing... dark magic

he took care of you and looked after you all the time

and yet you’d still tell him lies... and giving him false hopes

“let’s run away, together... to somewhere far, somewhere safe, we can build our own forever...”
