Elvis left my island yesterday and I think it's truly beautiful that one of the first custom outfits I ever saw him wear was the Luffy jacket, fitting him very well because of his scar
Tumblr media
And on his last day on UA Sunny was the Brook coat, perfect for his hair. I'll miss him but I have his photo at the entrance of my island as he will always be the face of the Sunny 馃挋

I am sick and tired of pretending I don鈥檛 have any overwhelming emotions just so that adults who barely know me won鈥檛 write me off as a Typical Whiny Melodramatic Teenager.

Reasons the Thriller Bark Saga holds a special place in my heart...
Tumblr media
It is the saga that introduced Bink's Sake which is one of my favorites (that and Luffy's Skypiea song).
It had elements of both horror/zombie/monster movies and music. I love that combo.
It gave answers to the storyline of that whale the Straw Hats met waay back at Twin Cape (Laboon~馃惓馃グ)
It is where we meet Brook and where he joined the Mugiwara Crew. Karaoke, which means "empty orchestra" in Japanese, has a different effect on me after the story of the Rumbar Pirates was revealed. (Brook you poor thing, let me hug you馃ズ)
It is where we see Kuma first. It was the first time the Mugiwara had to face two Shichibukais in one arc. In a way, it was the beginning of their journey in getting stronger. To me, Kuma is the biggest factor why the Straw Hats have gotten as strong as they are now. If he did not exist, who knows what could have happened to them at Sabaody Archipelago.
There was already a foreshadowing of Wano Country in the form of Ryuma who, as it turns out, is a legendary samurai from that country. It's also so werid to see a disciplined samurai with Brook's personality and laugh (in a good way). Zoro losing Yubashiri, in a way, was also a part of Zoro getting stronger.
This is the saga where I fell in love with 馃挄Roronoa Zoro馃挄. I've liked him before. I always knew he's a tough manly man but after that scene where he takes in all of Luffy's injuries even though he's already badly injured, his manliness just surpassed 9000 in my scouter that it broke. His loyalty and the lengths he would go through as the First Mate is just so馃ぇ. And after all that pain, he was all like "nothing happened". Zoro, you are so goddamn cool 馃槶 (marry me!)
Basically, I love it because it opened a lot of things the viewers didn't even know about at the time. You'll only realize it when you get to that part. Even Lola turned out to have forshadowed the Whole Cake Island Saga. It was also near the end of that saga when Ace's Vivre Card started burning which marks the beginning of the Summit War but I really don't want to talk about that 馃ゲ馃槩馃槶
This is the saga that also made me realize that despite how strong the Mugiwara crew already is (with three devil fruit users, four after Brook joined), they are still a long way to go from being the best. Zoro's loss of the sword he had since Loguetown also signified that the crew will have to sacrifice many things if they want to be the strongest. They will have to face so many losses in the road to being the strongest crew.

Creating modern English cuisine in a timeless setting
Creating modern English cuisine in a timeless聽setting
By the time I pulled into the car park of the winner of the Weetabix Food and Drink Awards Booker Dining Venue of the Year I must admit I was a little bit slack-jawed. It鈥檚 not because the Willow and Brook in Apethorpe pulled off this feat during an opening year which featured a once in a generation pandemic and a freak flood which they thought might wash their dreams away 鈥 but they鈥

First off - thank you so much for the nice tags you left on the new chapter 鉂わ笍 Getting feedback helps me figure out if I managed to hit the points I wanted to or if I missed the mark.
~But now for OC question time! For anyone you'd like, if you would like~
How good are they at either blending into the environment or taking a back seat when it comes to major events? Are they uncomfortable letting someone else take the lead? In what situation would they allow someone else to take the reigns?
-uselessidiotsquad-
@uselessidiotsquad you鈥檙e very welcome! <3 :) Glad to be helpful in addition to keysmashing about emotions :D
And ooh boy, OC question time, let鈥檚 go! Random thing picker has gone with Minei, Brook, and Casca today. (Very mild Icebrood spoilers at the end of Casca鈥檚!)
Minei:聽She doesn鈥檛 particularly enjoy being a leader, so she鈥檚 decent at taking a back seat--as long as whoever is in charge is giving orders she agrees with. If they鈥檙e not, she probably won鈥檛 take control unless she has to, but she absolutely will聽speak up and let them know all the reasons she thinks they鈥檙e wrong.
Brook:聽They used to be decently comfortable letting someone else lead. Now that they鈥檝e spent a lot of time more or less on their own, that鈥檚 not quite the case. They鈥檒l listen to Ari and Commander Kerra, as well as to Casca (though more as a partner and less as a leader). Anyone else trying to order them around will be very highly scrutinized and probably ignored. They鈥檙e very much a free agent. They won鈥檛 try to lead others, but they most definitely will be in charge of themself.
Casca:聽This one, on the other hand, definitely falls under聽鈥渁gent of chaos.鈥 She basically shares Brook鈥檚 philosophy on who to listen to, and she has no desire to lead, either. However, she鈥檒l also actively disrespect anyone who she thinks should not聽be in a leadership position but holds one anyway--kinda the same energy as doing 鈥渂unny ears鈥 behind your teacher鈥檚 head, except more malevolent. (Oh god. I鈥檝e been tossing around characters in my head interacting with Bangar post-Icebrood, and I just realized that Casca would be a Choice, goodness gracious.)
