AITA for slapping my mother in law?

I (27F) am married to my husband Jay (26M) and we recently had our first child Lily.

Well the pregnancy was a very very difficult one. I was throwing up every day for over six months, suffered long bouts of insomnia, developed gestational diabetes, standing up too fast made me incredibly dizzy, my entire body just constantly hurt, Lily kicked me so hard I legit had tears in my eyes (which combined with full body pain was...not pleasant) and to top it all off Lily weighed ELEVEN pounds and I tore really really badly.

Yeah...ow.

I love my daughter to death but never again. Ever.

Anyways after that literal hell of a pregnancy, I've been more or less bedbound for several weeks now while healing from that entire ordeal. Which means Jay has been taking care of pretty much everything, keeping the house clean, making food, taking care of me and Lily, etc. Its a lot I know and I wish I could do more to help but Jay has been insisting that I rest and recover and that he's got this. He's been handling everything like an absolute champ. Honestly if I didnt have him I dont know how I would be doing anything.

Well this morning Jay's parents came to visit and meet their granddaughter. So I was moved to the living room so I could introduce them to Lily and socialize a bit while Jay cooked lunch.

Now Jay's parents are very traditional. They believe that men make the money and that its the woman's job to take care of the house, the cooking, and the children.

You can probably see where this is going.

I introduce Mother in law to Lily and we get to talking. (Father in law went outside to go smoke)

Thats when mother in law asks why Jay is cooking. More importantly why Im NOT cooking. I tell her I physically cant even stand UP without help so how am I supposed to cook.

She only scoffed saying that I was just making excuses. I am very used to her bullshit by now so I just roll my eyes.

Then Lily started crying because she needed a diaper change. Mother in law tells me to go change her diaper. Again I cant even stand up by myself, much less get up to change a diaper.

I call Jay and he happily comes to get our daughter. Mother in law starts yelling, telling Jay no that I should do it because its my job. She grabs Lily and shoves her back into my arms and tells me to get up and go do it.

Jay, my wonderful angel, tried to tell her that I physically couldnt move for weeks and to mind her own damn business.

She then started yelling even more saying that I was making my husband do my job for me, calling me lazy and a slut (What that has anything to do with this? I have no idea) she went off on a complete tangent about how it was a woman's job to take care of the home and the children, that SHE managed just fine and she had five small children, that I was completely emasculating Jay, that I was a disgrace, etc.

She just kept going and going while not letting me and Jay even get a word in. Until eventually she said that my daughter will probably grow up to be a whore like I am.

I think it was a mix of pure exhaustion and hormones because somehow I managed to stand up for a moment and slap her across the face before immediately falling back on the couch.

Jay looked shocked, Mother in law looked livid. (Father in law was just watching from the doorway, equally as shocked.)

Mother in law started full on screaming, calling me every single name in the book until father in law physically dragged her out of the house by her arm.

Now hours later my phone has been blowing up with messages from my brothers and sister in laws, telling me that I was an asshole and that I had no excuse for hitting their mother.

Hell even my friends think I was in the wrong for hitting her (completely ignoring how she was yelling, calling me horrible names, in front of a newborn baby no less.)

Hiya babes <3! I hope you all are having a happy holiday! If u don’t celebrate Christmas I hope you have a happy whatever-day!💗💗💗💗 thank you for all the support I’ve been getting on my last posts I appreciate it beyond words!

Pyro:

-clueless but considerate

-when he sees you struggling they try to help however he can

-pryo sees the world different from her view so whenever she sees you hurt or bleeding she believes that your period is a real life devil stabbing you

-yes ik it’s sorta weird but this is how I imagine pyros mind handling things

-usually he’ll punch the air as you lay on the floor or chop the wind believing they’re saving you

-you tell them to relax ! Explaining your menstrual cycle yourself to him in the simplest terms

-you give pryo a small list of what you need and he agrees

-he gets all the things you need in the…maybe more violent ways by killing the workers at the market in retaliation or not getting the stuff for free

-you know she loves you tho <3 and he tries his best!

Sniper:

-a respect full lad, but he doesn’t help much

-he doesn’t really know how to and he could care less

-“Dontcha got arms? You can get this yourself, mate” he says as he focuses on his rifle

-instead you insist he gets you things so he can visit you more often and hang out

-Spy him in the head after he saw Sniper ask if he was okay

-“YOU FOOL!” Spy says as he points to snipers chest and pushes him back a little

-“What the bloody hell is wrong with you, mate?!!” He says in retaliation

-spy gives him a lecture about being considerate to a woman and respectful blah blah and sniper reluctantly agrees

-Sniper legit tries but never gets the hang of it, he helps out in all sorta ways but it’ll always be wrong

-Months go by like this and Sniper always dreads when it’s your cycle because he feels bad he can never be the best for you

-“I can shoot at attah things” Sniper says as he shoots off the head of a Scout “but I cant finish the shot at this thing, doc.”

-Sniper begged Medic to come up to his camper to talk about it, reluctantly Medic listens

-Medic also teaches him how to be proper (spy also helps too lol) but after hours and days of training it’s no use

-Sniper will always tell you how much he loves you when he messes up at it and that he’ll try again next time, so rlly it’s the thought that counts <3

Engineer:

-Engi is already a sweet man and he’s even sweeter when you’re on your cycle

-he understands despite not having any experience with it before and he’s a wonderful listener

-he gets you everything you need no matter what, he gets them quickly!

-Engi will try to make devices to stop your cycle (all of them failing) but when you’re in bed with cramps he’ll sketch and write about a new design

-“it’s okay, pumpkin. This one will work I have a good feeling-!” He says as he kisses your cheek

-he feeds you southern dishes and foods in bed <33

-“uh ahuh-..uhm hello, darling..” Engi says nervously, he’s sweating like crazy and his entire face is red

-“yes Engi? Is something a matter?”

-“well..you see I have an ..idea for uhm..an “invention” he says with quotation marks “well it’s been done-e. befor-e.. but uh i’d like to customize it to fit you-..so I would-..l-like some measurem-ents…”

-“oh of course! What do ya need measured” Y/N says back with a warm smile

-“Uhm. I would need to-..measure your uh.. “ he clears his throat and whispers

“Your hoo-ha-“

“HE MEANS YA PUSSY!” Scout screams out as he laughs as a shook Engi

“WILL YOU GET OUT BOY!” Engi angrily yells back with

-You find out that Engineer wanted to measure your uh..yeah..so then he could make you a custom period cup

-you agree and in the end he makes it and gives it to you in a little bag with a bow

-“I’m very sorry, pumpkin. I should’ve been a lot more ..uh..better with the way I acted.”

-you kiss Engi on the cheek “it’s okay you didn’t do anything wrong. Thank you, hon”

Prapai was so happy to see Sky at the race. He would never force Sky to go to the race or do anything he didn't want to do. Sky has every legit reason to avoid the race but he decided it didn't matter because he wanted to surprise Prapai. But Sky was the one who was surprised when Prapai snuck up on him.

The little smile on Sky's face as he helps Prapai take off his helmet. Prapai has always been in Sky's world such as his dorm and helping him with college work. But now Sky is in Prapai's world and showed up at the race to support Prapai and see his boyfriend too. Prapai looks so happy about Sky being at the race.

Prapai just looks so happy to see Sky at the race and tells him he missed him so much. He really would have picked Sky up at his room and took him the race if Sky asked. Prapai probably saw Sky yesterday or a few hours ago but he still missed him so much.

Sky admitting he wanted to surprise Prapai and the little smile he gives to Prapai is everything. Prapai pouting because he missed Sky and wasn't allowed to go to his room. Sky was probably busy with course assignments so told Prapai not to come to his dorm because he is too much of a distraction. If you read the novel then you know why Sky wouldn't let Prapai visit his dorm for days. I wont spoil the novel here. Also Sky probably never gets any work done with Prapai hanging around in his dorm. Of course Prapai would go crazy not being allowed to see Sky in his room for who knows how long. He cant go a day without seeing, touching or kissing Sky in some way. But then he did think about Sky for 3 months before he even knew his name.

Sky hugging Prapai to stop him from pouting about not being allowed to go to his room. When Prapai hugs him back he suddenly remembers they are in public. He really was not expecting Prapai to hug him back which is why he looks so shocked about it. But you just know he really wanted to hug Prapai and forgot they were in public.

Prapai really doesn't care who sees them together. He is just so damn happy that Sky showed up to see him and to watch him race. Prapai is really just happy his lucky star and person who makes him invincible came to see him do what he loves to do in his spare time.

They are really just in their own little world. No one is looking at them and Sky isn't worried about people looking at them being all cute with each other. He's too busy focusing on Prapai to even care what anyone else even thinks. They are just in their own little world and no one else exists.

Just look at the way they smile at each other. They are so in love and so happy. And they return to their playful bickering like they aren't in public and people can hear them but choose to ignore them. Sky asking Prapai was he tired and Prapai chancing it and asking to kiss Sky is so cute. Also even under the threat of violence Prapai will settle for a kiss on the cheek. Their playful bickering is everything to me.

Sky just looks so happy even when Prapai tells him not to talk to anyone and if he does just tell them he's Prapai's boyfriend. I really hate this trope because it normally comes across as possessive and sometimes abusive. But PrapaiSky made it funny with Sky being sarcastic about it and Prapai jokingly telling him just say your my boyfriend and don't tell them anything else. Prapai doesn't mind Sky talking to other people just once Sky name drops him as his boyfriend. Prapai has to let the public know the wind god has been tamed and is now off limits. Sky just looks amused by the whole exchange and probably questioning his choice about going out with Prapai but he still loves him anyway. He just looks amused with Prapai through the whole exchange. This could have been portrayed in a toxic way but I think FortPeat played it in a way that it comes across as not toxic and something funny. I could be wrong but its just my opinion. I thought it was cute and funny.

Of course Prapai takes it further using Payu's distraction to kiss Sky on the hand. I really hate the kiss on the hand thing but for some reason its funny and cute with PrapaiSky. Sky just looks so shocked and surprised about it as he watches Prapai run off to another race. Sky just looks at Payu as if he is thinking what the hell happened. Sky's threats of violence is definitely his love language and Prapai loves it and wouldn't have it any other way. After all Prapai did say he would have to get used to Sky's meanness.

This scene was not long enough. In some other universe Sky never went to Rain's car for his phone. He stayed and watched Prapai beat everyone he had to race against that night. When the race was over Prapai took Sky home to his dorm on his bike. When they were in the room Sky let Prapai kiss him as much as he wanted and more to make up for not allowing Prapai in his dorm for days. But deep down Sky knows he missed Prapai so much too. Prapai knows it too but he would never call Sky out on it.

(Alpha that reads beta at first) Hongjoong: it’s so typical but hongjoong smells like the sea. but he also has notes of amber and spice? but they’re low-key. reminds me of a bonfire on the beach on a warm summers night. smth u could just. dive right into. Sea is his main scent with amber just under the waves for sure. the spice kicks u right in the face once you do smell it tho-

(Omega n only omega) Seonghwa: I’m sorry bby but ur such an omega it hurts. anywhays. hwa definitely smells of strawberries, cherry blossom and milk. his scent is mostly strawberries and milk with a v delicate floral touch hehe. the sweetest dessert kinda smell? would i eat him? yes,,, (i’m gonna move on now before i lose it)

(Beta that seems like an alpha) Yunho: Our dear Yun smells like anise, caramel and musk. his scent def makes people think hes an alpha at first,, that n how fuckin tall he is (bastard). heavy on the caramel and anise too. His scent is a very comforting kinda warmth and ppl love it. 10/10 on the scent scale

(Omega that seems like a beta) Yeosang: Yeo! Cocoa butter, peaches and lilies is the combo for him for sure. His scent is super soft n sweet but not too sweet? Hes like a yankee candle lmao. The cocoa butter is his main scent with a subtle layer of peaches over it n u can j u s t smell the lilies in the background of his scent profile. very summer bakery energy

(Alpha with audacity) San: Listen,,,, this was personal (Kinda like m jongho scent idea but thats later) Amber leather and vanilla. He smells like Dior Sauvage. this man is SCRUMPTIOUS. Very typical alpha smell and very overpowering at times. but he pulls it off so well??? the fucker. he smells good and he knows it but tbf,,, everyone does. His scent is heavy on the amber and vanilla notes tho.

(Omega with way too much audacity) Wooyoung: The ratman himself smells like mandarins, smoky wood and a hint of peony. His scent is probably a little atypical for an omega as its heavy on citrus and not florals but thats what sets him apart from others. the mandarin smell will legit kick u in the nose n this is then quelled by the smoky wood n peonies after. it can b a lil overwhelming but its very nice once u get used to it uwu

(Beta that seems like an alpha with a personality of an omega at times) Mingi: I hate to admit it but my cleaning supplies helped me with this-,,, Jasmine, fresh linen and lemongrass. I cant imagine mingi not having a more gentle floral scent??? its a very delicate and fresh kinda scent on the nose and its super pleasant. Stronger on the jasmine and fresh linen for sure. Kinda reminds me of cleaning day during the spring? delightful <3

(Alpha ppl assume is a beta?) Jongho: Another personal one. this came from two 'perfumes' I have and they absolutely melt me when combined so,,, Cedarwood, Musk and fougere. its kinda similar to sans but more,,, woodsy? Homeboy smells like the forest wbk okay- anyways, its a super traditional scent for sure (If u look at omegaverse in the more wolfy aspect like i do-) and ppl love it (me too tf) Hes def heavy on the musk and that has a hint of cedarwood behind it then followed by the fougere. good scent 10/10 would sniff uwu

Hi nonnie first thank you for warning me about the problems w my carrd! I think ill just make a text and put the link there on pinned then in hopes it will make it easier to see. About the carrd itself i made it on mobile so you're seeing it correctly i just noticed though that a part of my dni is missing, i probaly deleted it accidentally last time i was fixing it so oops that's embarrassing 😭 but to answer they were a follower, they're no longer one because i softblocked and the reason i was so shocked was not because they don't hc rook as autistic since obv it's just a comfort hc i have as someone who also is autistic, but how they said rook was PURPOSELY ignoring social cues like😭😭 that part caught me SO off guard especially as someone who deeply relates to rook, ive had ppl do the same thing to me say that i was just purposely being weird despite knowing i had a difficult time telling what is and what isnt acceptable to say so i simply don't feel comfortable with them in my blog anymore, that trauma dump they had already made me a bit icky but i thought okay maybe they're just joking? because the post i made was clearly joking but clearly they were not (they said it themselves) and rook is one of my ultimate faves and i cant tolerate to see him get mischaracterized, especially not in such extreme manners so yeah they're not coming back but anyways thank you so much for warning me about the pinned thing ill fix it pls tell me if its better for you!

Laito And Abandonment Issues

There is this behavior I have noticed from Laito, that happens whenever Laito thinks Yui is trying to "escape" him. This is just one thing that makes dating Laito so toxic. He has this constant fear of Yui leaving him and her dying. This is seen with the Daylight CD's and chapters in the games.

(bit of a long read)

Pretty much, his BIG problem with why Yui and him fight is because of this mindset and trauma. Of course this mindset and trauma became a thing because of his horrible mother. With her having a sexual relationship with him and using him. The abandonment issues all started then, he loved her and she only used him, she was not his and this has effected him greatly in relationships. He NEEDS people(men) to know that Yui is his, because in the past his "lover" was not. This can be seen with Kou in MB, when he flaunt the pictures of him and Yui, he NEEDED Kou to know to back off and that Yui was his, and there is nothing he could do about it. This way he is in control, which in most in his life, he was not. (his a petty bitch-I love him).

But I mostly want to talk about his way of "putting Yui in her place" I guess you could say, In Date Fate and Chaos Lineage. Right so in Date Fate, Yui is trying to help Laito by talking to his brothers, so she tricks Laito to make him fall asleep and go to the castle. But Laito being big brain, he knew something was up. He then followed her and was big angry deep voice boy. He believes that Yui wants to get rid of him, that she no longer loves him, or maybe it was a lie from the start. His used to this treatment, and that was his only "love" he has experienced, so of course he is going to have not only abandonment issues but trust issues as well. For "betraying" him, he legit is like "Oh you love me? Then you can never leave my side" Again. That need of staying in control. Well if you tie her up, she cant do anything you don't want her to do.

And we see this again, in Chaos Lineage. Laito getting jealous of Kou and tying Yui up. I believe this time was more, not him scared SHE was going to do anything, but "protecting" her. DF was more out of fear of her leaving him, while CL was more the fear of men taking her away from him. So either way, he is afraid of losing her. Of course people are afraid of losing their lover, but I think it is clear that Laito CANNOT deal with the mere thought of Yui leaving him in a healthy way. This now comes to Daylight. Laito becomes very impulsive under a lot of stress. He holds a lot of emotions, and it is hard to digest when he becomes like this. Everything he was holding back behind that mask comes to light all at once, I cannot think of how awful that must feel like for him.

Under stress, he becomes angry I have noticed, and puts all of his stress and anger onto Yui. He does not know how to cope with this height of stress, he laches out because he does not know, for one, that he acting in that way, two, how to calm it and third, how to catch it before his mind goes wild. Honestly, as I am a person with anxiety, I think he may have it as well. It seems like once he is in a runt, it only gets worse and worse to the point he gets like in Track 4. He realizes reality, he cannot deal with dubbed reality and closes his heart and acts as if he is not hurt. What he does is getting rid of what is hurting him, and plans to kill Yui. (Messed up I know, like what the fuck is up with Laitos routes and CD's and dying? Like omg please stop. LE ending fucked me up :))

This mindset, the mindset of him only able to see the bad, he is only able to see that one day Yui will die and so that means his life will be worthless. This is why he doesn't stop wanting to die, even though finding love. Even though he has found happiness, the world will just not allow him to fully keep this happiness. It is truly a tragedy, as Yui is not able to life forever, he knows this, and acts out. Whenever I am reading Laitos route, I am always thinking of how fucked up he is going to be once Yui is gone. It is truly is tragic.

Episode 23: It's backkk!!

So apparently Morishi has officially taken over Makki’s role as MC as Makki is nowhere to be found haha.

Anyways we literally have 3 special guests in this video Horie Kazuma (Comte’s VA), Kamio Shinichiro (Faust’s VA), and Kijima Ryuichi (Charles’s VA) bc they’re celebrating Comte’s JP route release & the start of Act 2 of the game

Kijima & Morishi gives off the same vibes lol

Morishi introduces Faust’s character profile. The four start talking abt how if there was a person like Faust irl, they would not want to be friends w him even when he is good-looking

(38:00) There’s a new (?) segment called “Faust & Charles, What would you do?” where you (MC) are placed alone w Charles/Faust in a certain situation, and then the VAs will say the line out

The situation for Faust’s is… “you are falsely accused of stealing an art piece in a museum and are feeling down. Watching you, Faust says something to you. What does he say?” the options that the audience votes for are 1. “If you are feeling guilty for your crimes, I’ll listen to what you have to say… Haha, I’m kidding. If you continue to look so down, I’ll bully you even more” 2. “I know that you are innocent, but your struggling expression is nice, too” 3. “It’s cheap! It’s cheap! The tuna’s cheap! Miss, if you have time to contemplate, go buy our tuna!” If the people can vote on the correct answer, the VA will say the line, but if they choose the wrong line, Horie will say the line instead (not as Comte but as a random dude)

(41:20) Option 2 was chosen, and it was not the correct, so Horie said funnily lol. Kamio says that the viewers are kinda dumb (baka)

(42:58) Morishi has Kamio say Faust’s line, so he says line 1 anyways

So apparently, there’s a second situation haha. Setting #2 is “It’s been around an hour deciding which glasses would fit you the most. You can’t decide which one would be the best. Faust says one thing while watching you struggle. What does he say?”

Be nice to the young ladies across the screen’” (So Vlad’s like Sebas that he can break the 4th wall… hmmmm) Faust: “‘the ladies across the screen?’ Oh, so that’s what that means. That old goat has finally gone senile, hasn’t he?” (the way Faust calls Vlad an old goat “じじい” is way ruder than I thought he says in Eng) Charles: “Kings are a bit different than us, so I don’t know what he’s saying either.”

Faust: “By the way, Charles, I smell a hint of blood on you. Did you attack someone today?” Charles: “I didn’t attack them! I just bit them and made them feel good.” Faust: “to feed off of them as an act of service…” Charles: “To me, that’s the same thing as an act of love. When do you feed off others, Doctor?” Faust: “When I feel like it, I’ll look for an opening and bite. That’s all. If they have interesting traits, then more the reason” (“interesting traits” may not be a good translation. Faust said 捕食対象 which is like traits of prey, kind of?? A bit difficult to translate)

Dorian is verry easy to love, legit one of the cutest and most unique durge designs I’ve seen and all his lord is hella interesting! Anymore Dorian factoids about him and AA? I’m kinda interested in how he was with Astarion before he ascended (sorry if you’ve said before and I’ve just missed it)

sobing crying throwing up thank youuu i love my austic creature so much 😭 i wanted my self insert to be a furry and dnd has some very Furry races. im honestly a little suprised more people havent made their bg3 ocs a race other than whats in the game

i drew this a while ago but i didnt really like how it was turning out so i never posted it, but this is essentially what happened when they first met

so they kinda got off on the wrong foot and would kinda bully eachother but dorian is a freak and got a kick out of his snark and would play along, which astarion warmed up to. honestly they both enable eachother, just because theyre both self indulgent sorts of people. theyre a brat and hes a bitch so imagine how everyone else at camp feels. also dorian got that autistic rizz, theyre so blunt and genuine that they, kind of stupidly, just transparently say what theure thinking all the time, which ends up not just being endearing but also in astarions mind it makes them easy to manipulate bc he already knows exactly what they're thinking. dorian is such an easy target honestly, so when astarion started picking up that dorian was becoming warm to him astarions old training kicks in and propositions dorian in aims of exploiting that fondness. they lost their memory of their first time thanks to their worm lobotomy so they kinda freak like "oh man i dont wanna die a virgin and this hot guy wants to fuck i cant not do it" and thats pretty much as far as i thought about it, i wanna get into the later act 1 and act 2 stuff at some point but i havent actually thought about it all that much xD

but theres sooo much that goes into how the two approach astarion's ascention, their entire relationship has been building up to this pretty intense sort of codependence, wrapped up in eachother's circumstances that they really only see themselves. ig dorian's canon is pretty bleak, companions dropping like flies. the survivors would end up being dorian, astarion, shadowheart, and minthara. so by act 3 theyre really hurting for allies and for firepower. dorian is finding it harder and harder to handle the urge, and is determined to rip their father's influemce from their mind and body. so when they go to bhaal's temple and fucking dies when they reject him, astarion's mind just warps with the fear of actually losing dorian, and while they were codependent before, this event would really plant that seed of what his obsession and possesiveness as the ascendant would become. it wasnt just about freedom anymore it was about keeping what was his. dorian was cautious about him ascending, really just worried for astarion's well being and if something were to go ary, astarion convincing them of course with saying it would be best for him, that it would free him, that he would have the power to protect them both. and dorian is ride or die so they're all in for bogarding cazador's ritual.

and like. they do.

dorian never seen astarion so happy, so relieved. power radiated from him. dorian, being a cleric, is intimately familiar with the divine, that reverence reserved for prayer, that sacred respect for their holy symbols, the awe upon beholding divinity, now was recognized in the vampire ascendant. and he knew it too, "you hold your breath when i speak" astarion indulged this when he proposed turning dorian into his spawn/bride (i subscribe to the bride theory but i like the idea of dorian being reffered to either astarion's spawn or his consort) he turns the whole affair into body worship it was pretty epic. throw in come communion symbolism too why not
