becoming an academic weapon challenge⋆.ೃ࿔*:･✍🏽

this is a fun little challenge i created that'll hopefully help u to build good academic habits that'll improve ur grades and help inspire you to pursue excellence in ur academic life.

STEP ONE : ROMANTICIZE THE HECK OUT OF SCHOOL

when u learn to enjoy going to school, your going to be motivated to do well in school. because school is so IMPORTANT not only for ur education but also ur future. so take school seriously. and if u wanna become an academic weapon for the long term the best thing u can do is learn to make the best of, and enjoy it.

some ways to romanticize school :

create a school playlist that embodies the school vibes that u wanna have : i have lots of new jeans in my school playlist : i rly like the songs cookie, ditto and hurt for when im at school

ur appearance : if u go to a school where u dont have to wear uniforms, i strongly recommend getting dressed and getting ready meticulously bcuz when u look good, u feel good, and therefore u perform well. if u do wear uniform, wear accessories or hairstyles that make u feel and look pretty. i wear leg warmers with my school uniform and my signature is hair clips and barrettes.

read at school : i always walk around with a book bcuz i like to read a lot but if reading isnt ur thing, listen to a podcast about something that interests u (i rly like true crime)

take pride in ur notes : invest in cute stationary! i swear, sometimes i dont feel like studying but since my stationary is super cute and pink i get motivated to study just by looking at it lol. invest in quality stationary that u love and make ur notes look pleasing to you, and also effective. effective + aesthetically pleasing.

doing homework/studying in the library : or at least changing the scenery and location that u do ur homework from time to time. do yk how boring it is to do work in the same place every single day? give urself a break from the places u see all the time and spend time studying or doing homework outside of ur home. in a cafe or in the library, inside or outside, just change the scenery a bit

start a video diary : i started a little video diary with my friends so that we can remember our school memories. i just think its rly cute and a great way to bond with ur friends, make memories, and romanticize school.

STEP TWO : CREATE A STUDY REGIMEN

every single day study (at least for a little bit) ofc this will vary depending on ur personal schedule but the goal is to do a little bit of studying everyday, and if that isnt possible, designating 3 days a week to a thorough studying session.

the way that i divide my time with a study session is 40 minutes of work time and 20 minutes of downtime. during the 40 minutes of work time u need to LOCK IN. lock in on whatever assignment needs to be complete or lock in on whatever material it is that ur studying. ofc this'll differ between all subjects but dont study all subjects in one night!! thats ambitious, but i find it'll just burn u out so stick to studying for 2-3 subjects max.

STEP THREE : ADVOCATING FOR URSELF

this step is for everyone who feels a bit shy during school but u need to raise ur hand and ask questions!! dont focus on simply learning the material, the goal is to understand the material. understand it enough so that then u can explain it to someone else. thats how you can know when you've studied enough.

dont feel bad for asking a bunch of questions, its literally the teachers job to help you. so advocate for urself, if u need extra classes or a bit of extra help make sure that u get that for urself bcuz at the end of the day the only one responsible for ur grade is you.

STEP FOUR : THE RULES OF THE CHALLENGE

complete every assignment as if it was for a grade - dont half ass ur assignments, give every assignment 100%

study a little bit everyday or have thorough study sessions three times a week

romanticize school

ask one or more questions per teacher

if i had a great skill for making music and writing songs, i would endeavor to work myself into a position where i could create a piece of work that went viral on tiktok via a hit breakthrough track and garnered a large cult following of people who appreciate my 'singer songwriter aesthetic' and flair for thought provoking and unique lyrics. when said album came out it would be presented as a concept album with minimal information from me, but despite this, people would launch into it with their own interpretations; it would sell a lot of vinyl, people would start using the songs as sad audios about stuff like their best friend drifting away from them or their grandma dying or etc, there would be a trend of making OC or fandom animatics with one of the more popular audios that ffans of the music found absolutely obnoxious, people who'd listened since my humble beginnings would lament my sudden popularity, etc. but this album would endure, it would still be widely listened to and talked about among certain genres of human for many years. lots of speculation online about what the plot of the so called concept album is. i dont give them a lot of information to work with. i kinda dance around the question in interviews, i'm like, "oh you know i was just testing my storytelling skills here, i was just spinning yarns, it's personal to me but it's also not about me at all, use your imagination <3 i love hearing what you guys have to say about my work." so after a while it's taken for granted that we'll never know what I meant, and that's intentional. it's for the audience to interpret, to fit into the mold of their own lives. ten years later, i release an anniversary edition, to much social media celebration; i'm mentioned in hundreds of posts of people sharing their very personal connection with it. and a few ask me what my inspiration was, but i don't answer. nobody can answer. it's about everything and it's about nothing, and they will never, ever know that it's a long-form piece of RPF about Neil Young and Stephen Stills in musical form

Announcement

So I'm writing my first fic on Wattpad. It's not the best but I had this plot on my mind for a while now. It's ofcourse Ishman and seeing the situation regarding Ishman fics, I want to highlight that this is a period fic set in colonial era and follows the Devdas aesthetic if u have watched the movie. But don't assume anything in the start when u are reading the fic cuz I have planned some great character development. The writing might not be upto the mark but ITS MY FIRST FULL FLEDGED FANFIC. ohhhhhhhh so many?? the moodboard creators in this fandom are fucking TOP TIER and i love all of them so much!! but here's a few that come to mind:

this christmas babe and gene moodboard by @footprintsinthesxnd is so comfy and so cozy and they deserve nice christmases okay!!

speaking of christmas moodboards, @onlyyouexisthere has this incredibly aesthetic board for some of our fav boys around christmas time, and i just want to live inside every single one okay??

this speirs moodboard by the one and only @xxluckystrike is so beautiful? like i love the combo of hard and soft edges (the bandage + the smoke + the chess), since i feel like that dichotomy isnt something thats always shown with speirs, but feels so true with his character. anyways i want to walk through a museum with blood on my knuckles and smoke in my lungs after looking at this okay

oh i was HOPING to get this because there's this one fic i love SO MUCH and i just!! want to scream about it from the rooftops!!

Come In From The Cold by rebelsquad (T, 24k) is a Smokey-centric Coffee Shop AU, and it just warms my heart in all the best ways. First of all, Smokey is an incredible narrator, and I love how the author captures his voice in this so hard!! I also just love that it centers around some of the more underrated characters (Smokey, Alley, Shifty, Tab, Skinny, and Popeye), but also has great interactions with the regulars as well! The found family vibes are just *chefs kiss*, and it is also the perfect mood for winter ✨ I cannot recommend it enough!!

@sweetxvanixlla - midnight blue feels so right for you, my dear. starry nights and deep blue velvet cushions, something steady and calm but sparkles in just the right light. a cup of herbal tea on a tuesday night, and the thrum of a quiet city hums beneath your tongue. theres something so quiet and still about the night, that moment when people are talking and you dont have to participate, you just sit and let their words flow over you, enjoy their presence and energy and that feeling is midnight blue.

@xxluckystrike - girl, you are golden. warmth and positivity and laughter that itself is a kind of music, just as much as the songs you love and share and make art for. its the type of gold you feel on a late summer day, echoing up from the passenger seat of a convertible as you drive with your friend across a rolling field of wheat, of corn, of wildflowers. there's soda in the cupholders, and the carbonation matches the bubbles springing from the bottom of your lungs. sunny, summery, golden.

@malarkgirlypop - pink. the snap of a piece of bubble gum, the sugar rush from a strawberry lollipop, the pop of a bright shade of lipstick, quirked up into a smirk. your presence is loud and beautiful like the sound of a boombox atop a vespa, zipping through a busy beachside pier and delighting everyone who hears. pink is the feeling of just being yourself, unashamedly and wildly, and reveling in the wake of your energy.

@panzershrike-pretz - green, but that vibrant green of the sun hitting a park just right, and there's almost a glow, or a halo, across the field. it's the kind of green reserved for grass stains, made after the first spring day that's warm enough to go and spend time outside. it's the color of collapsing in a cackling heap after goofing around with your friends, and they're laughing because you're laughing because they're laughing. what are you laughing about? it doesnt matter, maybe its nothing, maybe its the cow chewing away on the green grass in the distance. no matter, because it is joy.

@footprintsinthesxnd - idk why but lavender is the immediate thing that comes to mind? something calm and soothing and steady, a breath of fresh air, walking through a field with the sun on your neck and the smell of the purple flowers filling the air. a gentle breeze ripples across your fingertips. it's quiet, but not silent, and the lavender doesnt break in the wind - it bends, and the flower seems to brighten in response. your energy is the deep breath that is taken after that moment - content and at ease.

@blood-mocha-latte - so this might not make sense outside my head but...that color a candle flame gives when reflected off a marble statue. something in the liminal space between warmth and cool, between hard and soft, between cold creams and whites and bright oranges and yellows. the ethereal quality of walking through a gallery alone, silent save for the feeling welling up from each piece of art you pass. the tiles echo this soft color, the flickering candle makes the shadows across the paintings dance, and one can't help but want to explore further, to linger with the treasures you've created.

@ronsparky - sky blue, but not the crayola sky blue. the sky blue of an early morning on the top of a mountain, mist obscuring pieces of the horizon and you could convince yourself you are the only human on the planet. a sky blue that rivals on being crisp and soft, that suggests unlimited possibility if you just reached your hand out a little farther. one can't help but feel that every small, new thing from this view is a joy - and its a feeling so wondrous and contagious that you cant help but spread it to those you interact with. the sky shifts, ever so slightly, but the color follows you down the mountain.

@georgieluz - red, but not quite. a bird flitters into view from where you sit on a bench in a forested park. its winter, and the trees feel bare and lonely. surprisingly, the bird isnt a pigeon - it's a vermillion flycatcher. the bird stands out triumphantly against the monochrome sky as if a beacon, or a challenge to some higher power that says i am here. its bold, its singular, and one cant help but admire the sheer presence of this small vermillion creature. but when it opens its beak and sings, the trees dont look so lonely any more.

@next-autopsy - you know that color when a fire burns down, and the embers are glowing with a deep mahogany? the edges of smoke dont obscure the color or heat from the coals, it only seems to make them more ephemeral. its a mesmerizing color, its the feeling where you want so desperately to stretch out your fingers and know what that heartbeat of fire feels like, and although the burn doesnt completely dissuade you, you still pull your hand back. the dancing mahogany glows a little brighter, then dimmer, as if in time with your breathing.

@onlyyouexisthere - the words "pale green" dont quite do justice to the vibes your presence gives off. the softest pale green? cashmere, the color of mint leaves reflecting morning dew? maybe that's the closest, the feeling of looking out over a snow-brushed hill, hands warmed by a mug of silver needle tea, wrapped in a cozy cashmere sweater. something comforting but crisp, familiar but fresh, nostalgic but new. something pale green.

@land-sh - one time, i was on an airplane flying across the arctic. it was the middle of the night, and i looked out the window and slowly, over the course of two hours, watched the sun rise. the sky started as a pitch black, stars breaking up the endless void, and slowly, one color at a time it lightened into a blindingly bright day. but there was a moment, about 37 minutes in, and im pretty sure everyone on the plane was asleep. outside, all i could see was this deep, vast purple. it felt like there could be anything and everything beyond that color, and i was the only in the universe who would ever see it. idk why, but thats the color and vibe that comes to mind when i think of you.

@coco-bean-1218 - see, i thought about chocolate brown for you before i even realized that its just your username. but maybe its more than chocolate, maybe something closer to chestnut. you're that feeling when you walk through an orchard, it's november, and although the sun is shining its the kind of sun that seems to make everything more crisp than warm. as you walk through, there's a small crunch under your shoe - a chestnut. there's a deeply satisfying smell in the air, something woody and comforting, and you just want to get lost in the rows upon rows of chestnut brown dotting the branches and littering ground.

@samwinchesterslostshoe - okay so bear with me on this one - slate gray. the slate gray of a city on a rainy day, clouds and sky and sidewalk almost blending together into one entity. you duck into a coffee shop you never would have noticed if not for the weather. at first, you think the walls are just reflecting the color from the outside, and you feel a lonely pang. but then, you notice it - art, stickers, little notes of love written in sharpie and tucked in the space between tables. they stand out among the walls, and the absence of color makes their presence even brighter. and the coffee? so good. it's the best you've ever had, and you realize the coffee shop is just like the walls - you find beauty you never would have noticed without the slate gray of the sky.

....so i have no idea if any of this makes sense outside of my head, but here we are. if i missed you i am so sorry!!!

MY ABXY AU!! tw for not so good grammar

some of you guys may know this, but i had planned to make an au wish its about the members of abxy going to different bands after abxy dissbanded, i havent wrotte the story yet, but i do have most of the ideas in my mind! the au doesnt have a sad ending, but theres a LOT of angst because i love ruining the things that i love LOL...

so how does the story go like?

well it stars with raian discussing to their friends about quiting the band due their mental healt, the rest of the mebers dont take this very well because they think raian is a great leader, but raian doesnt see that because, uh oh! impostor syndrome! they star agruing and agruing more wish it gets violent pretty slowly... idk what raian is going to stay to shikaku but i had in mind that they say something that makes him angry wish that makes shikaku star shocking raians, dw he finally stops and he realizes that he should not have done that to his friend, raian doesnt have any majur injuries either, but the rest of the members are still traumatized about it and that makes everyone want to quit the band already.

how does the members feel about it?

well the situation really affected their mental healt negativly (i know i didnt wrotte that well but eh), all of them feel bad that things had to end up this way, but they star to feel better after years have passed.

shikaku feels guilty the most, he regrets almost killing raian and he had to go trough therapy to reduce his anger issues, the rest of the bandmates stopped being friends with him but they became friends again after they finally forgave him. he realizes that it was wrong of him for not taking his anger issues seriously before, but he tries to become a better person.

noiji is probably the most affected because he loved be in abxy in a very personal level, it also made him paranoid that if raian and paruko leave him (at some point he made paruko uncomftable because he kept asking her if she hated him). he is now very clingy to his bf raian because they are the person to loves the most, he also gets jealous when his bf is with other friends who are guys (because i hc raian as gay), but he tries his best to not think that raian doesnt longer love him. noiji's persoanlity changed, now he is more depressed than expected.

paruko was really traumatized when she saw shikaku almost killing raian, she is mad at the rest of the bandmates because she think its their fault... (shikaku for being violent to raian, noiji for being pushy with raian when they forst joined and raian for not saying that they wanted to quit before), but she is also upset to herself because she tought she should not have joined a band at a very early age knowing how fame can affect young teens and how creepy fans can be. at some point she blocked noiji and stopped being friends with him because he kept spamming her. she does feel bad for raian a lot even though she is kind of mad at them and she wishes the best for them.

raian feels a bit guilty for making shikaku angry and for wanting to quit the band, but they just really wished the rest of their bandmates understood them before the fight stared. raian sometimes feels uncomfy with noiji, but they dont feel unsafe and they try to comfort him too since he understands how he feels, but there are times where their rellationship can get toxic and sometimes they wish that noijo would shut up. they also try to comfort paruko too since she doesnt trust shikaku and noiji that much anymore.

now where did the bandmates go?

they all joined to different bands based of their music taste and aesthetic, everyone seems happier being in different bands now (expect for noiji).

shikaku is not only a band but also in a lets play youtuber group since all of the mebers of that group love to make music too. their songs are mostly parodies of game franchises.

noiji is back in bari bari, the songs are lauder as ever but he still wishes that he still misses abxy. he also despites the rest of the members because they are idiots.

paruko is in a shibuya kei band where they make happy, relazing and chiptuny songs, most of their songs are based of cute stuff but there are times where they make sad songs. all of the members are anemones.

raian is now in a indie and experimental band where they make songs with depressing lyrics and they also make noise music too. the members dress "lazy" and some of them are barefoot since the theme of their band is being depressed. (so basicly the band is like nashimoto ui)

how does this au end?

well basiclly the members stared to realize that maybe it would be better to slove their problems and become friends again, this doesnt mean that abxy is back, BUT, they make a new EP of remixers of their songs but with the style of the music that these guys now make.

so yeah, thats pretty much it, i hope you guys liked it because i was thinking about making a comic of my au!

having seen it now, i think the mixed review for the new york transfer of the 2024 frecknall cabaret make a lot of sense -- it's easy to see both sides. on one hand, it's an incredibly well produced, choreographed show with great aesthetics; the performances, especially the older b-couple are fantastic (i'll talk more specifically about cliff/the emcee and sally in a minute); cabaret itself is phenomenal. so it's a great show with great costumes stages effects and great performances. of course its getting praise!

but on the other hand, there isn't much the revival is doing that's very revolutionary. it's really just doing the sam mendes production but "more". cabaret has a really interesting history -- the original stage show, then the movie (all different songs), then the new stage show in 1987 (combo of songs), then the sam mendes/alan cummings revival which was so impactful that's the song list and book that was used in the frecknall revival. it set the tone for the aesthetic, as well as the themes, and even did its own attempt at making audience members feel like attendees of the kit kat club. however, of course, the frecknell version does more to do that. more to immerse the audience, more frenzy to sally, more demonic energy to the emcee -- though i would say the frecknell emcee is much closer to joel grey then alan cummings -- i.e., sexless, vauderal-ian figure/jester, puppet master/architect, etc, but i won't get too into that. anyway that is to say i understand the frustration or negative reviews because i dont really think the frecknell revival is doing or saying anything different than the mendes one, which was a lot more recent in america than london, though arguably the frecknell version takes things further for better or worse. and some stuff really works -- like i think one of the strongest scenes in the whole show is the brick through the window scene GENUINELY incredibly

the frecknell cabaret did have its flops for me, though. for example, while i liked what they were doing with this version of the emcee -- especially the clown suit! the costuming was great! i didn't really like redmaynes version. it felt like he was working way too hard and trying way too hard -- whereas with joel grey and alan cummings i truly felt that character come alive and it was creepy and compelling and fun and many other adjectives with redmayne it was just like. a version of the emcee that was sexless and also had negative rizz and also was visibly like Trying. i don't know. what they were doing with the emcee really worked for me; redmayne's performance didn't. but that's very like my personal taste. i also didn't really love the performance of 'cabaret' at the end which is unfortunate because that's one of my favorite musical theater moments in like. well. the whole damn thing. i did generally like the portrayal of sally, even dialed up as it was, because it did feel resonate with our time -- i think cabaret revivals really reflect the time they're in.

THAT SAID. speaking of time periods. an aside but. this production felt like the dialogue equivalent of tiktok face. the acting/actors just felt too modern at times. also. while i'm doing minor asides. i didn't really feel like they leaned as into the immersive thing as they could've but that could've been because i was rear mezz. anyway.

Has literally anyone in the band ever said they dont like danger days?? I've seen some gatekeepers getting on their high horse about how they only played one dd song last night and how the "posers must be fuming" and one specific person tried to argue that the members don't like it. But I physically can't find any evidence of it beyond the tour being a generally shitty time for them?? If anything theres more evidence that they DO like it? Sorry if this is weird or pointless but I can't tell if this person has actual proof or are just pulling shit out of their ass because they don't like danger days lol

UGH. im on mobile rn so im not gonna link to specific interviews but they all love the album and talked a lot about how proud they were of it when it came out, and how writing it was actually a very fun and harmonious process. it was controversial in the fan base at the time of its release (partly because of the major aesthetic change the band underwent, partly bc it was pretty heavily advertised in a way some fans felt was disingenuous i guess) and it undersold the black parade, and then their world tour following it also didn't sell as well as expected. they even ran out of money to make the third mv they'd planned in the na na na/sing universe, so compared to the black parade it was technically a commercial failure. in hindsight, gerard especially has said that tour was a very bad time mentally. it was certainly hard for both him and frank to be away from their children. but they were never anything but proud of the album itself and made that clear in interviews. the only vague negativity from the band i can think of was when frank did a lengthy interview for...i believe ap? in late 2020, where he spoke about his whole career, and touched on the breakup of the band. he mentioned being disappointed that they didn't end up releasing the conventional weapons songs and said he thought in hindsight they should have worked on danger days for a little longer because some of the songs as they are feel slightly incomplete to him, and that was one of his only regrets relating to my chem. The ONLY other thing is an offhanded comment their producer, rob cavallo, made when speculating potential reasons for the breakup, when he said that maybe in hindsight he thought frank was struggling to find parts to play on danger days. but frank himself never confirmed that (he actually made a point of saying there was no tension between him and ray during dd), and in my opinion his guitar parts are much more interesting and less sparse on most danger days songs than they are on most conventional weapons songs, so i'd take it with a grain of salt. i think the gritty simplicity of cw is just kind of more to frank's taste than the more instrumentally conceptual sound of dd, so offhanded comments he's made about that have stuck in people's minds as negativity towards the album maybe.

i for one am very grateful we got to hear conventional weapons in the end because some of those songs are up there among my very favourite mcr songs, but im inclined to agree with what the band said over and over again at the time that scrapping cw as an album to release danger days instead was definitely the right choice. it sounds cliche to say but it was definitely a bit ahead of its time. if my chem had come back from the hiatus with an album that was just a collection of really good songs, and not an actual event with a concept and aesthetic and clear thematic thread, i think it would have been a disservice to the band's core mission statement, which was always to be subversive and unexpected, and to lean into the weird and take the risk even if it meant being misunderstood. conventional weapons is great, and it even kind of addresses some themes similar to danger days (dissolusionment with the state of the music industry, life in that side of LA etc) but it does it without any of the grandiose metaphor and pageantry and uniting aesthetic that's gerard's biggest strength and a huge appeal of the band, yk? anyway. it's fine to not love danger days of course, everyone has their opinions, but it annoys me to see people putting words in the band's mouth. "that was a bad time in our lives" =/= "we don't like that album we created together." also they've played sooo much dd at other shows...you don't see anyone going around saying they hate bullets when they've played entire shows this tour with zero bullets songs on them 🙄🙄

Your subunit que has left me wondering again. Why do they not have one? It's not like they don't want to. They've recorded songs together and have mentioned them many times. So why is it that they are the only pair in BTS who don't have one song as a unit? It's not for the lack of demand either coz even non shippers have been requesting for it. I will never understand the reason behind this. They aren't ever paired as a unit for photoshoots either. If ever they are a part of a unit for photos it always involves atleast one more member, sometimes even 2. On the other jikk are almost always paired together, to the point that even they once joked about always put in the same unit. Now some people argue that photoshoot units are decided according to aesthetic and chemistry and who looks good together. Now am I this biased or do tkk not look like an absolute dream together? Their voices too sound so beautiful together that it's almost a sin that they still don't have a song together.

Why do you think they are so obviously put apart?

I'm not really sure why they've never had a subunit before. I think there could be multiple factors behind why it's never happened, because we know that BH limits the taekook content that we see, but not one subunit since they debuted seems a bit excessive and strange to me.

Of course there's always the argument that taekook themselves were never interested in doing one, but I don't really believe that. Like you said, they've recorded multiple songs together, and they've even mentioned wanting to do a subunit before.

To answer your question about why they're so obviously put apart, anon, I think it's because of their relationship. If you think about it, taekook have always been an extremely popular ship. They look great together, have chemistry in spades, and obviously love spending time with each other. So it makes absolutely no sense at all for BH not to capitalise on their ship. Yet we went from always seeing taekook together to them even having to hide the fact that they were sharing a hotel room.

Now, I actually think it was a somewhat necessary decision for the company to reduce taekook's interactions on camera, I just think they took it too far. The Jungkook and Tae of today are perfectly capable of hiding the majority of their feelings if they want to, but their younger selves definitely didn't seem to find it as easy. They were a lot more obvious and impulsive around each other back then, and I don't think they were mature enough to be discreet about their developing relationship. Which is probably why BH stepped in.

Dont get me wrong, I still get incredibly fustrated at the way the company edits taekook out at times (and I don't think it's even needed anymore). Yes, they could have handled it better. Yes, they went overboard. But I can't resent them for it because it has protected taekook over the years. If their relationship and been exposed back then, they would have both faced an extreme amount of backlash, hate and discrimination. And BTS probably wouldn't even exist today.

ok im done with this beef after this ask but i just wanna say that i personally find it fun to write analyses and stuff on the characters because of my background with film. ive taken several film classes and screenwriting classes and ive written full on papers analyzing characters (not these ones) for my college courses. i gave an entire presentation on the media aesthetics and color coding and symbolism in dead poets society. i wrote a 10 pages paper on thirteen reasons why and the damaging effect it could have on people. i did a semester long project on the end of the fucking world. i wrote an entire analysis on the remake of one day at a time and how it casually incorporates so many levels of diversity while still being a great comedy and not seeming like it was just trying to get representation points.

the duffers intentionally wrote their characters to have underlying feelings for each other. i wouldnt be here analyzing their characters if they hadnt provided us with so much content to look into. i can tell you as someone who has an education in film, every frame (mike framed in a closet during mlvn kiss), every lighting/coloring choice (rain fight vs mlvn break up), every song choice (eulogy playing during mlvn fight), is very much intentional and its SO fun to find these little easter eggs and share what it means to other fans online. do you also find it weird that the duffers wrote their teenage characters to have a romance? im assuming no since 90% of fictional media wouldnt exist if they werent allowed to write about young love. so why is it weird for the consumers to enjoy it and analyze it?

its not like i have an entire account for steve and eddie. theres nothing to talk about for them, they havent been meticulously coded and hinted at having feelings the way mike and will have. however if they were coded like that instead of mike and will, i would still love to analyze it. the character’s ages dont change anything.

i dont just see two characters and think “i want them to be gay! im gonna make an entire blog about that”. its just fascinating and fun to deep dive into why the duffers wrote some of their fictional characters’ lines and actions and it hurts absolutely no one.
