baby fever to the extreme. literally if he even lets his mind wonder while in this state he'll just revert to thinking about babies. it's honestly odd to see him like this, but it also makes a lot of sense that he fantasizes about being a father. i mean, he was built for it. and so mating season also doubles as a bit of a depressing time for him as he considers that he can't actually give you a baby (YALL I AM SORRY BUT ITS BIOLOGICALLY IMPOSSIBLE FOR THE TURTS TO GET ANY HUMAN PREGNANT IDC WHAT YALL SAY but at least it adds angst :3)

his sensitivity levels also go through the roof at this time. he becomes even less tolerable of his brothers, especially Raphael, so consequently he comes over even more often to fuck the anger out of himself, by fucking you, how sweet. but also more than ever he needs to have someone just listen to him. usually he's the listener in your relationship, in most of his relationships really, but now he just needs to say whatever is on his mind and complain about whatever is bothering him without judgement.

the first couple of days into mating season is always a surprise to him, and he won't tell you immediately. he'll avoid the topic for as long as possible, actually. even if that means avoiding and ignoring you (although it won't last long). and you won't notice it at first either, he really only does tiny things like putting off replying to your texts, or making excuses why you shouldn't come over or invite him to your place.

but when he finally fesses up, it's only when he just can't restrain himself anymore and only talking/fucking you can fix him. it's all very embarrassing for him at first, to confess this (what he considers) dirty dark secret of his. and then to admit he needs your help to relieve himself of this burden, it makes him nauseous to imagine at first. he hates not being able to control himself through this period, to have to come crawling to you for relief, for him to feel so vulnerable. but once you assure him you are nothing but happy to help, and mating season obviously doesn't make you love him any less, he calms down a bit.

he needs lots of verbal and physical reassurance during the season. now more than ever he's desperate for your touch, sexual or not. he needs hugs and gentle kisses everywhere, he also loves resting his head in your lap as you read to him. he really just needs peace at this time.

there's lots of self contempt during his mating season too. he turns into a bit of a sex obsessed beast, every other thought of his being about how bad he wants to be inside of you, how bad he wants you full with his seed. he disgusts himself by feeling so desperate and in ache. i CANNOT stress how much you need to praise and comfort him now, most likely he won't outright tell you how he feels but just prepare to have open arms when this time of year comes around.

before mating season Leonardo wouldn't even consider having sex without foreplay first, but now he can't even muster through it. he tries his hardest to put you before himself, to thoroughly get you in the mood, but the throbbing something something just really can't wait.

What methods/sites would you recommend using for reading Arcs 5-8 of Re:Zero?

I’ve almost finished season 2 of the anime, and I’m pretty sure this has become one of my new favourite anime/works of media in general. 

And considering I keep spoiling myself anyway when I look at Re: Zero tumblr blogs, I figured I should just find a way to catch up with the rest of the series. 

You seem smart, and have clearly read Arcs 5-8, so I was hoping that you would be able to provide some advice.

hi there!! :D no worries for the ask, its cool to have another rezero fan join in the fandom especially on tumblr (which is a very small, curated circle of a bunch of us trading posts around a campfire HAH) and i hope youve really been enjoying the anime and your stay here so far!! :o this is absolutely one of my favorite media as well (if. if you couldnt tell by the blog pfft) and thanks for the compliments haah i am glad to seem smart.

but yes i gotchu on where to read!! ill be giving you a pretty detailed explanation/guide. (this explanation also goes mainly for english speakers / people who wanna experience rezero in english.) (and of course if any other seasoned fans are seeing this feel free to add on if i miss anything or correct me if needed)

Main Route Stuff:

witchculttranslations is where you can find the translations for the entire main route (which is arcs 1-8). this page is where youll find the main table of contents for each arc and you can find arcs 5-8 there!

note that arc 8, at the time of me writing this ask, is still a work-in-progress and the team of translators in this fandom are always hard at work to translate each chapter. also note that arcs 7-8 are "conjoined arcs" - think of it like arc 7 is part 1 and arc 8 is part 2. so if you happen to get caught up to where rezero is currently at, the rezero subreddit regularly updates chat + update threads whenever new rezero novel content comes out in general. youll find updates on translations or summaries for new chapters there.

there's also distinction between web novel and light novel - web novel are the chapters that tappei releases online, light novel are the official finished versions of the chapters that are released for sale. sometimes there's changes between the web novel and the light novel, but for the most part it's either minor changes to improve on the web novel - sometimes it's major, but for arcs 5-8 iirc there isnt any major changes that you need to worry about.

just note that in the wn translations, all/almost all dialogue is written in script-style. let me show a small excerpt from arc 5 chapter 1:

???: “Good job, Subaru, I suppose.” A small silhouette enters Subaru’s view from above. A loveable girl with long, cream hair and an extravagant outfit—Beatrice. Her fluttering dress looks out of place in the meadow as she presents Subaru with a towel. He accepts it and vigorously towels his head dry. Subaru: “Ah, thanks. Was looking to cool down so this’s perfect.”

so yeah the wn will be formatted like this by the way, just in case you didnt know this yet!! i hope thats not much of a turnoff or anything, but dont worry you get used to it - and the story is still pretty great anyway!!

also dont bother with arcs 1-3 wn. its not so important (and you already know all the major info because youve seen the anime) and also arcs 1-3 wn doesnt have the Best writing. tappei himself had to make extremely major changes for the light novel and the light novel (along with the anime and manga) is the finished and polished result.

and of course the light novel comes with illustrations for each arc. the web novel sometimes includes images as well at the beginning of each chapter, but if youd like to see finished and official illustrations for various scenes throughout arc 5-8 its easy to find them if you search them up online!!

the anime also has a few bits of Important cut content from arcs 3-4 - unfortunately i dont have any resources on hand for this ;-;;; but you can look this up on rezero reddit or online in general since a lot of people have made summaries about this. from what i remember in arc 3 (which is the royal selection/white whale/petelgeuse half of season 1!), the main thing is just the reveal that al has some sort of connection to ram (and rem by extension), some sort of connection to satella possibly, and he is ALSO someone that was isekaied into rezero's fantasy world.

as for arc 4 (which is season 2 of course), the anime got down almost all of the general important info you need to know, but there's a lot of important information in the last parts of arc 4 that the anime didnt include. the anime may include this information (and the al stuff from arc 3) later, but you'll need to know it for arcs 5-8. you can find the witchcultranslations guide for arc 4 here - scroll down and youll find the chapter called Appendix: Advent!! you'll need the info in that chapter for later.

if you want, you can also read the chapters after that - theyre sorted under One Day II and are the official arc 4 interludes that take place before arc 5. i do recommend reading through them, but theyre mainly characterization stuff, character dynamics post-arc 4, everyone trying to recover after arc 4, etc etc. the most important info in there is leadup for arc 5 (all the post-arc 4 aftermath stuff) and also some info/introduction on clind and annerose (who are characters that are briefly shown in the anime for like two seconds). these two do play minor roles in arc 4/beginning of 5, but theyre hinted to be important for later. if youre in a hurry to get to arc 5, totally fine to just skim through it, get basic info on clind and annerose then continue into arc 5 or something. or you can look at their wiki pages - totally cool to enjoy rezero however you wish. it's a LOT of reading dont get me wrong HAH.

as for the manga - this is not required reading or anything, the manga has only done arcs 1-4 atm so it's not really super relevant to you since youre almost done with arc 4 already via the anime!! but of course if you havent done so youre welcome to check it out if youd like, the manga artists are pretty great imo. im just gonna show some art from the manga artists here:

anyway thats it for main route content!! now i gotta explain side content.

Side Content:

you can find witchculttranslations' side story table of contents here, which very neatly shows you Every Single Side Story and is updated regularly every time tappei comes out with new side content. and trust me, tappei makes A Lot of side content. i guarantee you a lot of rezero fans havent read every side story (and i still have a lot of side stories to catch up on myself), so theres absolutely no need to read every single side story!! honestly just read the ones you find interesting + the ones that are required reading! im not sure how much of the side content youve heard about, but ill give you a rundown:

this extremely helpful google spreadsheet here (thats also regularly updated) tells you how important each side story is and where you can find it so you dont have to go on a wild goose chase wondering which ones you need to read for the main story. rezero side stories are on a sliding scale of just silly stuff tappei wrote for fun to this is VERY crucial for the main story. that google spreadsheet should help you out with that - both the spreadsheet and witchculttranslations have links to almost every side story available.

(the spreadsheet also tells you important details and who it's centered around + when each side story is safe to read free of spoilers after a certain point - so it's easy to decide when you wanna read the side stories and WHICH side stories you'd like to read!)

also i guarantee you that if you have a favorite character in rezero that character Probably has a ton of side content theyre featured in - so i recommend just hunting down all their side content and devouring it whole because im sure youll have a fun time with that. a lot of side content also fleshes out a ton of side characters as well in general - people who Looked shallow in the anime ARENT shallow at all, i promise. many people have hidden depths, which is one of the fun parts of rezero!

witchculttranslations and the google spreadsheet also tell you what order you might wanna read in terms of when each one takes place. i recommend following that order for the most part if youd like, but if you wanna binge read side content or something later you can also do that after reading arc 6.

that's how i experienced the side stories myself (i started reading them after finishing up with the arcs 5-6 plot) and in a way, i would say that might just be the easiest way to do it given a lot of the side stories take place during arcs 1-6 or before the events of arcs 1-6. itll make you go "ohhh thats what was happening with these background characters during *insert event here that was focused on in the main story*" or "ohhh thats why These Guys are like this" a lot pfft. so its easier to just get out the most important ones / the ones thatre most interesting to you all in a row after finishing up with arc 6 👍

The Ex Novels:

these are THE MOST IMPORTANT side stories. :o theyll be extremely important for arcs 7-8 especially!! also because these are light novels the dialogue is written in normal narrative format so hooray for that!!

anyway theres five ex novels. i recommend reading these after arc 6 so you got them fresh on the brain for arcs 7-8.

however if you happen to be a crusch camp fan, you can read ex novels 1-3 at any time youd like!! these flesh out characters like crusch, felix, wilhelm, and theresia (some of the wilhelm and theresia content was shown a bit in season 1 of the anime!) so youd probably enjoy these even more if youre a fan of any of them. ex novel four also features felix, julius, and reinhard too, if that interests you! (as a knight fan ex novel 4 was my favorite akdndn and i loved ex 1!!). but yeah in general though read the ex novels in order (from 1 to 5 of course) so you dont spoil yourself for other ex novels, but as i said - you can read 1-3 at any time, and in general its best to read the rest of the ex novels after arc 6.

the ex novels in general mainly focus on important historical events in the rezero world and stuff that happens before arc 1. the ex novels are also our first introduction to the nation and empire of vollachia—this is also the country that priscilla is from (and al also came from there)!! you get introduced to vollachia's whole deal in these novels. youll need this info for later!

anyway witchculttranslations and the google sheet dont have links to them because theyre published + officially translated light novels that are easiest to access by buying them, so harder to get a free pdf of them. however i got you (and your wallet) covered because i got pdfs for all of them right here (if these links dont work let me know!):

ex novel 1 - crusch and felix-centric

ex novel 2 - wilhelm and theresia-centric

ex novel 3 - wilhelm and theresia-centric

ex novel 4 - felix, julius, and reinhard-centric

ex novel 5 - priscilla and al-centric

anyway thats the ex novels in a nutshell!! and of course if you want a physical copy of these books (or any of the rezero light novels in general) in english you can buy these online (sites like amazon has them) or at a bookstore. if you live in the US like i do, barnes and noble has them irl as well. or if you happen to live near a kinokuniya store, they also sell rezero irl. kinokuniya is also specifically for japanese media so i highly recommend giving it a try if you happen to be near one (i got a rezero keychain from there also hah, rezero merch is a little hard to get a hold of sometimes).

rezero light novels are also translated in a few other languages (iirc spanish and polish are some of the other languages its translated in) so if youd like that too you can look into it and buy some!!

The If Routes:

if youre not familiar with these by now, theyre basically "what if"/ alternate universe stories where subaru makes a different and Very Major choice at different points of the main route. theyre not necessarily required reading, but some do have some important lore regarding several of the characters and in general most of them are extremely important AUs for rezero that emphasize all the themes of the story. they also show the Insane butterfly effect of subaru’s decisions.

and if youve gotten this far with the anime already im gonna assume you probably like subaru at least a little bit? :o yeah his character gets fleshed out in Very Interesting ways in these routes. other characters also get changed in various ways due to his decisions!

new ifs are also released typically every year on subaru's birthday - april 1. so with every april 1 the entire fandom plays russian roulette because either the if will be a super silly one or a Very Important one LMAO.

also these ifs tend to be mentioned a lot in fandom bc theyre very beloved and interesting side stories, so i highly recommend choosing which ones you find interesting and just have fun reading them!! you can find them on the spreadsheet, if you want to read them in a more chronological order, or you can find them on the main witchculttranslations website as tabs on the side underneath Re:Zero If Stories. (but ill provide the links to each separate one in this post also.)

all current if routes at the moment take place somewhere in the arcs 1-6 range, so you can look at them either after arc 6, like i said, or in order as you read along with the main route. ill give a quick breakdown of each if just in case!!

Pride If - diverges from arc 1; subaru doesnt call for help when fighting the three thugs in the alleyway. slight spoilers for one part of arc 5 in like One Scene of pride if.

Wrath If - diverges from arc 2; subaru accepts beatrice’s offer to help in the loop where rem dies + subaru tries to run away from the mansion. very minor spoilers for ex novels/arc 7-8 (characters who appear in those arcs appear in wrath if).

Sloth If - diverges from arc 3; subaru gives up and runs away with rem instead of dealing with the arc 3 conflict. very minor spoilers (a character who later appears in arc 8 appears here).

Aganau If - diverges from arc 3; in the loop where rem dies in the cave and subaru carries her back to the mansion, he decides to go down another route away from the mansion instead. years later, he’s now older and still alive after almost everyone else has died. this if is one of the routes in the now discontinued lost in memories mobile game (and this is The Most Important route out of the whole bunch anyway). you can find a playthrough + english translation of it here.

Greed If - diverges from arc 4; subaru accepts echidna’s contract. major spoilers for arc 4 of course. minor spoilers for arc 5+ (small plot beats are mentioned iirc). a bit of important lore for characters like echidna and clind. the first edition of it can be found here - make sure to read this first. this is because this if was also given a longer and polished light novel version of it (it was a special that came with some of the season 2 blueray dvd packages?) and you can find an english translation for the extended + final version under the Blueray Novels and Databooks section of witchculttranslations' side content page.

Gluttony If - diverges from arc 6. major spoilers for arcs 5-6.

Mimigau If - this is just a genderbend au that tappei made that starts from arc 1!! almost nothing is changed besides the characters’ genders, biological sex, names, etc. i sadly dont have a link to this one, but iirc this hasnt been fully translated yet? and it's also very much not that important of an if lore-wise so you're not missing out on much. the genderbent character names are really fun though!

Lust If - this is, supposedly, an if that tappei wrote in one sitting and then decided to delete off of the official rezero wn site. this if is just an april fools joke where subaru gets a harem of various rezero girls. and imo its not Particularly Good, but it was meant to be a joke and tappei just wrote it for no reason so ig the quality makes sense haah. and also sadly that harem includes petra iirc which. yeah. not what id call great.

Vainglory If / School If - basically a canon high school au for all of rezero! not a necessary read at all but it's super silly and fun. and if you like anastasia and/or priscilla they have a lot of Fun Interactions in this one. im not sure if all of this if is english translated yet, but you can find chapter one here.

Other Various Ifs from Lost In Memories - i dont have the links to all of these, but lost in memories has a lot of other more minor aus as well, aganau if is just the most important + the darkest one. the other ifs are more lighthearted and just extra stuff for funsies. other big examples include a julius if (subaru calls for help in arc 1 and julius is the one who comes to help), a reinhard if of sorts (takes place around arcs 1-2, it's a sillier story where reinhard just keeps appearing out of nowhere to help subaru every time he needs help), and also an otto if (arc 1 divergence; subaru gets involved with otto and the two of them decide to start a mayonnaise business).

A Side Note About Rezero Video Games:

ok i know your ask is mainly about how to READ rezero but i figured i might as well explain this really quick just in case!!

there are a bunch of rezero video games and none of them are really Necessary, so dont worry about it. theyre either like - silly alternate universe stuff or theyre a bit more of the serious au variety (like aganau if, as mentioned earlier. i dont know every single rezero video game out there (and i think theres still new ones in the works at the time of me writing this??) and also almost none of them are english translated so its hard to experience them if you dont understand japanese.

the two most important ones (aka the ones with more story in them) are gonna be prophecy of the throne and lost in memories (which i mentioned earlier!). and again, these games are not necessary content - theyre mostly just side content that you can look at/watch/play through for fun and if you just wanna see more of your faves. you can check them out at any time since they dont have any major arc 5-8 spoilers.

Prophecy of the Throne - this is visual novel + a divergence of arc 3 where a new and sixth royal candidate emerges and it looks like emilia is the fake royal candidate here.... so yeah the plot is just. it's like a game of among us. but it's a fun story with a lot of different character interactions (so if you really like the entire cast of rezero youre in luck!!) and features a tiny bit of lore about some powerful groups in the fantasy world. a few of subarus failed loops in this one are also Particularly Brutal. you can watch gameplay of it on youtube or play through it yourself (i know that the game IS on steam too) since it's fully english translated (and all the jp vas and english vas reprised their roles as well).

Lost In Memories - as mentioned earlier, this is a now discontinued mobile game. iirc it was a gacha game? a sort of fighting game? and also it's narrative driven with a bunch of different routes. you can find the wiki for it here - it summarizes a lot of the main story beats. theres no official english translations for this game, but theres a lot of fan translations that you can find on stuff like youtube if youre ever interested in any part of the game. also it has a really fun opening song and animated sequence. nonoc's rezero music is great <3

A Side Note About Rezero Youtube:

theres a lot of summary videos for both main content chapters and side stories on youtube. im not sure how accurate these videos are, but i know that at the very least they can give you a brief rundown on the main points for certain chapters/side stories if thats something youd like to have!

theres also an entire team of people making a fan-run audiobook for arc 5. ive given some of their episodes a listen, and i can confirm that theyre absolutely great. you can find their readings of chapter 1-47 on spotify, and on their youtube channel theyre up to chapter 62. i think theyve also expressed their interest in branching out into other rezero content as well? :o so if thats also something youre interested in you can check them out there!

Even though you didn't show it, Gojo noticed the slight differences in your mood, and behavior. He tried to ask you if there was anything on your mind or something bothering you, but you'd reassure him you're fine. You didn't want him to worry, he had enough on his plate, his job was so stressful you didn't want to add to it. So you told yourself to fake it till you make it.

Inside your head was spinning with thoughts, the world seemed darker, duller, you couldn't quite put your finger on it, but it felt like you didn't fit somehow. Still, you'd force yourself to go about your daily activities, all the while fighting your intrusive thoughts.

Today was hard, you didn't even want to get out of bed, but you dragged yourself up still wanting to see Gojo off for the day.

To your surprise, he already had breakfast made, your favorites with a side of fresh fruit and freshly made juice and coffee. Even more surprising he was still in his pajamas. Seeing you appear in the kitchen he immediately burst into a smile and came to greet you.

"Good morning, my love!" He said before planting a kiss on your cheek. He gently took your hand and lead you to the dining table and served you breakfast.

Once the initial surprise wore off, you turned to him. "T-thank you Satoru, this is amazing but I thought you had to work, what are you doing still in your pj's? And what happened to my alarm?"

He grinned at you and picked up your hand, rubbing it lovingly. "I turned off your alarm, Y/n. I wanted you to rest. I know things have been hard for you, even though you say you're fine. I want to show you, you never have to go through anything alone. So i took some time off to be with you. Today we're gonna lounge in our pj's watch whatever shows or movies we want, eat way too many snacks. Get whatever you want for lunch and dinner. And lets not forget.. lots and lots of cuddling. I am here with you, and for you. Because its where I want to be. I love you, and I am determined to show you how much you mean to me."

His eyes sparkled, as he placed a kiss to the palm of your hand. "Please don't shy away or hide from me when things get to be difficult. Let me with you. I can't fight this battle for you, I would if i could; but you don't have to fight alone. Let me support you."

You were speechless, your heart melted at his words. All you could manage out is a soft thank you. Surprise that he had you figured out.

He kept your hand in his while the two ate as he told you about his movie and tv suggestions incase you weren't up for picking. You couldnt help but giggle noticing his list were all your favorites.

You spend the day in bed, curled up at his side as you watched tv and napped. He only left your side for bathroom breaks and snacks and to get you more water to drink. Every time he returned, he kissed your head lovingly.

I see picture of the inside of buses, school activities, and all of that, I can’t relate to any of it.. I didn’t go to elementary school and I only did 2 months of 7th grade and 1 week as a freshman and 1 fucking day as a sophomore, the rest of my schooling was at alternative schools that sucked and homeschooling which I can’t remember most of it cause at the time I was still actively being abused, I see my three youngest siblings and how they are still in school, how they got to learn and have friends, and I have none of that.. my two older siblings also have been to and completed high school, I have nothing.. I was too autistic and weird and mentally Ill to have done anything, I had been hospitalized twice and fucking spent my whole summer of 2018 (my last year in my home state) in a fucking residential program that said they were duel diagnosis BUT THEY ONLY FOCUSED ON THE KIDS THERE THAT HAD DRUG AND ALCHOL ADDICTIONS AND THEY COMPLETELY IGNORED MY CAFFEINE ADDICTION AND DOWNPLAYED IT SO MUCH THAT I GAVE UP ON QUITING they had FORCED me go to NA, MA, and AA meetings WHEN I DIDNT HAVE TO GO and they ignored my mental health, I LITERALLY HAVE BEEN STRUGGLING WITH SCHIZOAFFECTIVE DISORDER SINCE I WAS FUCKING 4 YEARS OLD AND IT TOOK 17 FUCKING YEARS TO GET A DIAGNOSIS CAUSE NO ONE WANTED TO DIAGNOSE A CHILD AND CAUSE OF THAT I WASNT ON ANTIPSYCHOTICS INTIL I WAS FUCKING 18!!!!! There were Many things that Adam did on accident, like all humans. Well...except he wasnt human, he was an alternate.

That realization still hadnt fully set in yet, hes lived his whole life as a human, the mere idea he wasnt was ludicrous...but it was true.

He was not alone in this thankfully, he's been "adopted" by Lieutenant Davis, and hes been staying with him ever since. The house was quite modest, Adam had taken up the responsability of at least keeping the house clean when he had the energy to, Thatcher some days was just a wallflower. (And he didnt blame him, that Man had been through some shit).

Sometimes their saving Grace was Jerico, Thatcher's partner, who brings them food and whatever is left of the pastries of the bakery she worked at. She was Real nice, Adam had decided, so he kept a bit of distance as to not freak her our (but there was something off with her he couldnt quite place).

Today was one of those days, food had run out yesterday, and neither had the energy to get out and get something. It was just one of those days.

But Thatcher had the foresight to call his partner up and ask if they coul bring food. And that she did.

The door opens with a slight creak, Adam doesnt look up from the book hes Reading, but he does smile a little. She was good company.

--Hey kid-- she said, kissing the top of his head covered with the hood of his hoodie,leaving the Many heavy bags on the table.

--arent you like one year older than me?--He teased with a smirk.

--Well yeah? Its a term of endearment. But if it bothers you I can stop-- she replied, grabbing the food thats supposed to be refrigerated-- wheres your dad?

Adams face goes a little pink-- Hes not my dad!-- he whined,closing the book-- hes- hes in his room I guess

--Davis!-- she calls out towards one of the rooms across the nearby Hall. She turns to Adam and says-- hey, do you mind putting these in the fridge?

--No I dont. Go get that raccoon of a man out of bed-- he said with a playfull smile. She laughs and goes towards Thatcher's room.

When shes our of sight he stands up and does as he was asked. He opens the fridge and slowly fills it up with the food. He had to admit that seeing the fridge full once more was very soothing, he felt as if he was helping around the house like a child would help his parents.

Five minutes later he sees Thatcher come out of his room with Jerico hugging Him from behind.

--What took you so long?--Adam joked, putting away some of the other groceries.

--Well,Mr.Racooon over here was a little too wrapped up In his blankets. Basically a burrito-- she teased pressing a kiss to his shoulderblade.

--drop it--thatcher murmured, amused at the joke even if he was deathly tired.

--Mmhmm. Hes in denial,I tell you-- she turns to face Adam and sees what hes doing, it moves her a little and she adds-- yknow you dont gotta put away the rest, I can do it

A little flustered,the boy shrugs and says-- s'nothing... I uh. I was bored so...-- he half lied, not turning around to face them so neither would see how flustered he was.

--Thats very sweet of you kiddo! Thanks-- jeri answered, to then give a quick hug to Thatcher(who saw this whole exchange as something adorable) and tell him-- go get a book and sit in the sofa,lunch'll be Ready in a bit

He nodds, too exhausted to convince her to let him do something. Thatcher grabs the book Adam was Reading and goes to lay down on the nearby sofá, at least this was better than wallow in his grief in a dark room.

Jerico quickly gets to making lunch, Adam stands near her unsure if he should volunteer himself to help her out

--Hey Adam, mind handing me one of the pans? -- she asked absentmindedly as she cuts up a few potatos.

"Fries?" The boy thought with enthusiasm, something he hasnt felt in a while - Uh sure. Let me just..-- he kneels to reach one of the lower cabinets under the kitchen counter and notices that said pan is all the way to the back.

He huffs and tries to reach it, and here is one of the things he does without noticing. His arm extends unaturally,growing large enough to reach the back of the cabine. He grabs the handle of the pan and he pulls it out, to then stand back up and place it on the counter.

--Thank you- JESUS CHRIST!--she squeals looking at the arm. It was paper white and boney looking, his fingers are clawy and a little crooked.

--Oh im so sorry-- He starts,freaking the fuck out. He lets go of the pan and pulls back his extended arm.-- please dont be mad at me--

Jeri only meets his gaze and smiles a little-- you caught me off guard, thats all-- she Gently takes his clawy hand and squeezes it reassuringly. His palm feels deathly cool, while hers feels unaturally warm.

--How doesnt this freak you out?--He pointed at his arm with his free hand.

--Ive seen some shit-- she shrugs it off as if she encountered alternates every day-- I was not expecting to see you go Reed Richards on me thats all, thats actually a really clever answer to a problem

Adam smiles, sometimes he feels shes the only one that understands him,-- I really dont get how youre not smacking me across the face with the pan. Your answer isnt very clear

She snorts and Gently lets go of his hand--Ill elaborate one day, 'till then feel free to make your own theories. Anyway, can you return that arm to normal or do you need some help?

He shrugs-- Give me like...five minutes?

--'kay --She replied lightheartedly as she filled the pan with sunflower seed oil and set it on the stove-- im spit balling here but maybe remebering how your arm looked like before would help?

Adam squints at her a little, he felt as if she was talking out of experience. Those were the little things he felt off about her, not in a bad way, she just felt like she knew more than she was letting on.-- ...ill try-- he replied, going to sit at the table and try to get back to normal.

When he succesfully does manage to fix up his arm, he keeps helping out on the kitchen. Apparently Thatcher had passed the fuck out during their whole previous exchange,which was good because neither thought the ex cop would take that lightly.

--Dyou mind keeping an eye on them burgers?-- jerico asked,snapping Him from his thoughts-- when that other side is cooked flip it. N' once that one is ready too just make a small cut in the middle to check if its not raw

He nodds--I know cooking burgers is pretty easy but...where did you learn to Cook like that?-- he asked over the sound of sizzling oil.

--Ive had Many,Many,Years to practice-- she replied-- thanks for helping out by the way,I appreciate it. N I also know you Keep your distance some days,which is fine. Just know you can be yourself around me,I know from personal experience that walking on eggshels is tiring

Adam shifts his weight, he doest look away from the cooking burgers. Hes still getting used to so Many things,kindness was one of them-- alright...--He replied dryly, trying to save what little of his pride remained.

--Do you want your bread toasted by the way?--She asked-- I couldnt get normal Burger bread so I got Rye bread. Its better anyway

He smirks-- hmm I dont think Thatcher would agree on that

--Good thing hes asleep then right? He would die on that hill defending Burger bread as the only aceptable type for burgers-- to drive the joke home she adds a playfull "conspiratorally" wink.

Adam,for the first time in a while, allowed himself to laugh. A genuine laugh, not loud enough to wake Thatcher up,but it wasnt a chuckle either-- yes,yes he would.

Once lunch was ready, Jeri wakes up Thatcher (who had Fallen asleep with the book on his face) and the three get to eat lunch. Adam sits on the end of the table, his two companions sat on each side of him.

--This is really good. The fries are very good-- Adam says,gobblin down on the fries.

--Yeah...--Said Thatcher,looking at the rye bread on each side of his burger paty,glaring daggers at the poor thing.

--Your girlfriend over here busted her ass cooking!--The boy started, pointing at him menacingly with a frye-- youre gonna eat that or ill shove it down your throat

Thatcher looks at jerico as if to say "yo help me out?!" But his girlfriend only puts a hand on the boys shoulder and smirks-- dont look a gift horse in the mouth,Davis

Begrudgingly he eats his Burger, not admitting that the rye bread was actually good.

Before Jerico leaves to go to work, she says bye to her boyfriend with a big ole kiss. Adam fake gags just to be a little shit, then she hugs the teen alternate tightly and smirks at how tense he gets.

--i brought lieutenant Burger Bread his favorite pastries. Dont tell him cause hes gonna have a hissy fit about it-- she whispered near his ear-- I also brought a few of your favorites,enjoy

He nodds and smirks at the nickname for Thatcher. As he pulls back a little,he allows his hands to settle on her upper back,shy and stiff as a board-- uh...good luck?-- he muses trying to at least give back some of the kindness she always gives him.

She promptly breaks the hug as to not fluster Him further and grabs her keys,ready to go-- Alright! Im leaving! Bye!

--Bye!--both men echo back once she closes the door.

Then, theres a five second silence broken by Adam saying-- if you dont MARRY her,ill Actually kill you

Now its thatchers turn to become flustered. His face goes bright red and stomps off without another word,leaving the boy very amused with a shit eating smirk.

Today was one of those days where Adam just fucks up, he had tried to do something very dumb that had to do with scaling up a tree in the back yard wearing sneakers. He almost fell on one misstep And Thatcher had to get him down like a fireman rescuing a cat.

--But seriously,you shouldnt do something like that-- Thatcher scolded,trying to not be pushy but getting his point across.

--But seriously,you shouldnt do something like that-- Adam parroted, a little annoyed. But his voice isnt his own, instrad its thatchers. It comes out with static and distorted.

When he realizes what he did,he covers his mouth and looks at thatcher,who meets his gaze looking like a deer in headlights. The older Man's breath is shallow,his eyes wide but his pupils small.

--I am so sorry! I didnt mean to do that...!-- he exclaimed recoiling into himself.

Thatcher took a deep breath, trying to calm his nerves-- Okay,but please dont ever do something like that..

Adam nodds and silently, the other Man goes to his room,probably to have his own proper freak out and then come back. Leaving the boy to feel really guilty.

Adam was still getting used to his New body, sometimes it had a mind of its own, he would mimic certain things without thinking.

He was talking with Thatcher on the sofá,just sharing a cup of coffee and talking about whatever, school,sports, the freaking weather. And internally,Adam thinks of how happy he is to have someone like Thatcher backing Him up,despite everything being so confusing for the boy,he was glad to have someone to rely on after years of being on his own.

Thats when it happens, Adam's face morphs into Thatcher's,only partially, half of his face reflects his companion. But he doesnt notice it until he sees his reflection on the coffee of his mug.

He looks up and is met with Thatcher,he was deathly quiet, eyes wide and body shaking.

--oh no nono-- im sorry-- I can fix it!. Jerico taught me how- I didnt mean to--IT WAS AN ACCIDENT I SWEAR!--Adam slowly freaks out, he tries to reach for his friend with one hand while the other covers his face with the hood of his jacket. But the ex cop moves away from him and it breaks the boys heart who slowly descends into a panick attack

Thatcher on his end was gone,the world had gone black, all he sees is half of his own face staring back at him, then he sees Ruth's face, Mark's face. Hes shaking and he doesnt notice it, his breath is erratic,shallow and his head feels as if it was spinning.

Ruth,Mark,himself. Ruth,Mark,himself. A scared boy with a gun-- you left her to rot,there isnt enough space for the two of us,lieutenant. Uh oh! Bad decision Thatcher!

He breaks,hes a sobbing mess as he grips his Cup tight. As if it was a gun. But hes non responsive. Hes just not there.

In his desesperation,Adam manages to take his weak body towards the telephone,he punches in the numbers hoping to god he gets it right. He himself was in no position to help Thatcher, even if he knew how.

If anybody knew how to fix up this mess was--

--Jerico?--Adam says, voice barely a whisper.

"Adam? Whats wrong buddy--" jeri's voice comes out as soothing if not worried.

--I- I accidentally copied Thatcher's voice. I think-- I think hes having some sort of attack? Hes...hes not talking. I fucked up im so sorry im so--

"Lissen" she said,voice stern but warm"Heres what youe going to do. You go somewhere where Thatcher cant see you, first you need to calm down, breath in  deeply four times, look for 5 things you can see,4 you can touch,3 you can hear,2 you can smell and 1 you can taste. Repeat as Many times as you need. Once youre calm youll try to remember how you look like,just like you did your arm. Ill help Thatcher. Be there in twenty. And walk slowly,dont do any sudden movements as to not scare him,okay?"

--its all my fault,im so sorry! -- He said.

"Its not. Youre still discovering this New self of yours. Its not your fault, hes not going to be angry,okay? Take it easy Adam,youre a great kid"

--I need to check on him-- he said about to stand up before she stops him.

Jeri sits beside him, and she reaches for his face. He recoils back out of instinct-- sorry its just- dont angels hate demons?

--Youre no demon. Youre just a kid-- she replied, pressing her hand against the side of his face that had thatchers features-- And my ass has been out of heaven since the days of the bible.

She offers her hand and the boy takes it as she guide her back to the livingroom/kitchen where the other Man was.

Thatcher was the first one to wake up Next day, he had gotten some needed shut eye, and as he makes breakfast, he hears two sets of steps approach him. Both are slow and clumsy, seems the other two residents of his house are awake.

--Hey -- jeri says, nuzzling his bicep while her  hand rests on his Lower back.

--Morning,Angel. Heres your tea,theres uh..pancakes on the table-- he replied.

--Youre a godsend-- she murmured, grabbing the cup of tea she handed him and sitting on the table.

Jerico hears the whole exchange with a grin. Then she looks at Adam who is happily drinking his coffee.

Thatcher seems to hear their little talk because he points at both of them with his spatula and says -- for the record, its an apron. Im using it for whats supposed to be used. I dont wanna hear it-- he looks almost threatening if it wasnt for the fact the was using the spatula to threaten them both.

--Sir yes sir-- both reply at the same time, giggling and joking under their breath.

Soon, Thatcher joins the table, sitting on the other side of Adam. And as the three eat their breakfast, the older Man notices something.

--Uh.. you- your face is uh...-- he starts,not sure of what to say

--huh?--Adam asks, as his lids and side of his face seem to droop down.

Jeri looks up from her cup and simply says-- your face is melting dude. Youre out here looking like "the scream" by Munch.

--Oh cool. -- Adam said,sounding more annoyed than freak out-- excuse me a minute -- he stands up and goes to his room to fix up himself.

--I do not know what you told that kid but he seems to be doing better by the day-- thatch whispered over to her,leaning in.

--Kindness goes a long way. Guess he thinks of me as an equal-- she shrugged it off,taking a sip from her drink--he called me mom yesterday

--he what?-- he asked a little surprised-- thats too cute

He reaches to take her hand and winks at her-- ten-four.-- both share a smile and soon Adam is back.

Jerico leaves for work after breakfast, she says her goodbyes and plays dumb as Adam says --Bye mom! -- and happily goes on her merry way to her car.

Then,Thatcher pulls Adam for an awkward side hug and he leads him to the yard--Im gonna teach you how to defend yourself

"so," you started as you turned down the nob on the radio ignoring the glare sam sent your way as you did so. you knew your uncle hated when people messed with his stereo but since it was your van he was driving you did as you please.

as dangerous as it was for you to be in a van packed with avengers you couldnt help but smile to yourself. sam had initially refused to go with you to this festival but lucky for you; a set of puppy dog eyes and a pout at bucky later, along the teams surprise at bucky wanting to go to a social event and here you were well on your way with your favourite people to see some of your favourite artists.

you tied your braids up in a bun before turning to look back between steve and bucky, both looking at you with curious eyes. you could get lost in bucky's storm blue eyes any day of the week but you told yourself to hold off on it for now, instead looking past them at the very back seat of your busted van that held natasha, yelena, and the lastly tony who your question was directed towards. "how much diversity training did yall put steve through before yall let him talk in public?"

the van was dead silent, you and tony locked in a starring contest; you didnt notice the very confused look on steve's face at all.

after a few moments your uncle couldnt keep it together and slapped the steering wheel howling like mad. "she said diversity-" the man couldnt even finish his sentence the way his tears was collecting in his eyes.

you could see natasha biting her lips, head facing the window, shaking with laughter she refused to let out.

natasha and yelena both lost it in the back seat at that, sam wheezing beside you as he tried to keep the van on the road.

you'd been told your whole life you had a big mouth and it wasnt something that bothered you at all. you had questions, you wanted answers. simple as that. that was the reason you were sitting here now in a staredown with captain america, both of you unblinking, in your hormone monster hoodie.

you hated the show but your uncle had gifted it to you saying it reminded him of you- a big mouth.

whatever steve had been about to say once he stopped opening and closing his mouth like a fish, yelena beat him to it. "wait she's right captain, would she have even been able to drink from the same water fountain as you before you died?"

you'd never seen your boyfriend as shocked as he was right now, stock still, metal hand over his mouth and bugged eyes starring at the floor.

you eyed yelena as you grabbed bucky's flesh hand where it lay on the arm rest; although only your fingertips felt his skin due to the large sleeves of your hoodie. "nah, jim crowe aint end til sixty four i think."

"her and bucky wouldnt even have been allowed to date." nat added.

"it was sixty five." your uncle interjected, "and they shouldnt be now."

"okay uncle ruckus, didnt know you were pro segregation."

"shut the hell up."

you giggled, grabbing your hydroflask off the floor taking a swig before offering the bottle to bucky who took it gladly as an excuse not to have to add to the conversation.

you had the forethought to let your poor boyfriend finish but your mouth opened before you could stop yourself "i think it couldve been kinda romantic buck; us holding hands over the rope for the coloureds section."

you could help cackling at the sight of bucky wide eyed, spitting out a mouth full of water and subsequently choking; you took the bottle from him before he could spill anymore on the navy sweater you had bought for him.

"goddamn it y/n/n," bucky choked out "fuck off"

tony snorted as he shifted in his spot between nat and yelena "i think our resident sadist is actually trying to kill these two." you were rubbing buckys chest as well as you could from your spot up front, feeling the rumble underneath your fingertips as the last of his cough subsided.

tony pointed his chin to the right at steve fidgeting with his hands. yelena nodded "i think cap over there's going into cardiac arrest."

bucky laughed as he wasnt upset in the slightest. he was actually in awe as he watched you bark a laugh while twisting one of your earrings, a mindless habit of yours he found adorable. he knew you had no ill intentions and youd never purposefully try and upset any of them. he experienced your humour and questions about anything and everything, no matter how blunt, often enough first hand; he often followed it with his usual routine of rolling his eyes and kissing you quiet mid sentence with such a passion you often forgot what you were talking about in the first place.

bucky wrapped his metal hand around yours still placed lightly on his chest. no, he wasnt upset at all, he actually liked how straightforward you were. he knew he could always trust you to be honest with him. right now however he was shocked at how, after dating for almost a year now, you still managed to surprise him with questions like this.

he watched the mischievous glint in your eyes as you but your lighter bottom lip as you turned to steve.

"not trying to kill ya cap, but at least if you kick it tony can file it under reparations."

sam whacked your arm as you laughed together.

seeing the tips of steves ears burning bright red same as his neck was enough to make you ease up on the man; considering he hadnt spoken a word this whole time. "im kidding steven, relax. but seriously though tony how tough did you have to make those sensitivity seminars?"

bucky couldnt help but grin at the seriousness in your tone. this was turning out to be quite the drive.

but once he looked up at you, showing you the beautiful eyes he kept hidden behind those curtains, you knew who was standing infront of you

you’re sick and tired of doing work all the time. so you use genshin as your reality escape, and little by little a certain character became self-aware.

jean felt an strange elemental aura around lumine, alot of the time may i add! she didnt question it at first, but looking at it once more, its not normal, so she traced the travelers steps, moves and behavior, however she couldn’t find a single clue..

mean while on the other side, you were a student that had average scores, and as an escape method from all that; you atleast once a day log in genshin, you loved to explore the world playing as the pretty characters with amazing designs, just messing around and building your chat, genshin quickly became your comfort source. you had started to get less active and a certain grand headmaster didn’t like that..

you logged off genshin once again, only spending 1 hour if not less on it, its not like you had lost your comfort for genshin.. your schedule was simply getting too tight that you couldn’t even play genshin as much as you used to, you had checked the time- 12:08 pm, well i guess you should sleep since its already midnight..

meanwhile you had started to get ready for bed, you forgot one detail.. to close your PC, you had left it open thinking it was closed, however it was not, in reality someone was watching you from behind that screen, and its a miracle how you didn’t notice! once you finally settled in your bed, you hadn’t known the fate you would suffer the next day

ever since lumine had stepped into the world of teyvat, they had felt controlled, and they wouldn’t dare to tell anyone else as they felt it would bring more problems then necessary, but they had watched this person control them but couldnt do anything about it, they hadnt know how but, lumine had felt a connection to them, they built her, they fed her and most importantly played most of the time using her, it made her feel special.. a feeling she hasn’t felt after losing her twin sibling

you were done from your work for the day, you just messed around in genshin with your main, traveler. Honestly ever since the start of the game you had felt a connection since ber design is very pretty, and most importantly she was a loyal and hardworking person, it made you look up to her— though you wouldnt admit it since it felt a little childish to do so.. and logging in for the first time today, you had to say, it was a bit freaky..

you were playing in genshin, basically running around as traveler, but one thing was bothering you.. on how whenever you tried to switch traveler out of your party, it wouldnt allow you? Not to mention the voicelines you had never heard before in a life time, the weirdest thing out of all, was that traveler was definitely dealing more damage then before.. it was basically traveler beating the shit out of every boss while the rest of your party watches? It was a bit weird.. but you couldn’t do anything about it, you had contacted your friends and asked them about it, and they swore that they never saw these voice lines ? it was weird, you tried logging out or closing the game but it simply wouldn’t let you, this is where you actually panicked.. was something wrong with the game or the phone?? you shut it down and threw it away on the bed, god was that terrifying.. you needed to get a new phone, didnt you?

You were already able to convince them that you had a meeting for that day, so your date had to be during the evening, but in actuality, you would be visiting them at work to take them out for lunch.

Stopping at their favorite sweets shop, you thought that getting their favorite would also help make them even more excited for Valentine’s. The thought made you smile, a chuckle passing your lips at the idea of your members finding out what you were doing.

As you step into the cute and cozy little store, you begin making your way to the aisle to check if they had any of the sweets in stock, only to pause when you see your partner standing not too far away, checking the same place where you were about to head.

Just as you were about to call out to them, you pause when you see another woman walking up to them and pulling at their arm. You had no idea who this girl was, but with how they were acting, you expected your partner to stop them.

But to your surprise, they very much welcomed this woman, wrapping an arm around her and you swear you felt your heart drop when you saw them kissing her cheek and the conversation that followed.

“I’m so glad we can go out on Valentine’s, I honestly thought you were going to be busy.” The woman pouted and you partner had that same dorky grin on their face whenever you were together. “I told you I’d make time for you.” They explained and you quickly took a step back, covering the half of your face with your scarf.

It didn’t help when you began to hear one of your songs playing inside the store.

Since you were disguised, you were able to get out of the store before you could hear more, hiding your face as tears started to escape your eyes. But you did your best to stay composed, at least until you were in the safety of your dorm.

An idiot.

You were an absolute idiot for believing in such an asshole. Despite being only together for half a year, you really did like them and believed that they were genuine with you. They were so understanding with your schedules and the risks of dating you, but god, you should have known.

You felt your phone vibrating in your pocket, and when you went to check who it was, you felt your sadness grow and a knot formed in your throat when you saw your partner’s name along with the text they had sent you.

The nerve they had. After spending time with someone else, they still had the audacity to text you and act as though everything was alright when it wasn’t.

Deciding to ignore them, you headed to the dorm, roughly wiping at your tears before opening your door when you arrived. While you hoped that none of your members were around to see you like this, that ended up as wishful thinking when you hear Bora and Siyeon happily talking as soon as you stepped inside.

Carefully, you took your shoes off and placed them on the rack before sluggishly joining the pair on the couch.

“You’re home! I thought you were going to meet a friend today?” Bora’s face lit up at your arrival, but as soon as you sat down, her smile was quickly wiped away and Siyeon shot up from her place to join the two of you when they saw your tear stained face.

While they were caught off guard, that was immediately wiped away with worry when they finally processed that you were actually crying in front of them.

So without delay, they both took you into their arms and comforted you the best they could without knowing why exactly you were crying. Siyeon had to look over to the older girl who shook her head, indicating to just wait until you felt a bit better or at least comfortable enough to talk to them about whatever had upset you so much.

They were patient with you, their expressions soft with this newfound display. And while you rarely expressed to them how you felt, seeing you like this for the first time made their hearts hurt.

“Can you tell us what’s wrong, Y/n?” Siyeon asked softly, wiping your tears gently, a contrast to how you had done so earlier when your crying had turned into tiny sniffles and Bora squeezes your hand to assure you that they were there for you.

And given your current state, you were able to easily tell them exactly what had happened, how you were originally planning on surprising your partner, only to find them seeing someone else.

The pair made sure to listen and their expressions grew considerably dark the more they did and Siyeon’s lips turned into a pout as she brushed your hair from your face when Bora rested her head on your shoulder, a scowl painted on her face.

“I don’t like them.” Bora promptly stated and you sigh as Siyeon shook her head. “What? Don’t tell me that you do after what they did to our Y/nnie.” The older woman challenged before the vocalist rubbed her neck. “Of course not! After hurting Y/n? They better hope I don’t see their face.” She replied before cupping your face and staring you dead in the eyes.

“But I want you to know that whatever happened, it wasn’t your fault. There was nothing wrong with having emotions, and I don’t want this incident making you feel like you aren’t appreciated.” She tells you, Bora nodding as she sat properly to look at you, too. “Siyeon is right. After what they did, they aren’t deserving of you. As soon as they even thought about cheating on you, that’s on them. There is absolutely nothing wrong with you.”

“You are worth so much more than someone who can’t appreciate you. We don’t want you thinking that you’re worth any less.”

You could feel the sincerity in their voices as they spoke and their words had only further brought tears from your eyes as you curled more into their arms. Because if they hadn’t spoken to you, then maybe you would have shut them out more than you already do.

Thankfully, this had only done the opposite, making you more comfortable in being vulnerable with them.

“Whatever happens, you have us and InSomnias here to love and support you, okay?” They both offer you kind smiles and you couldn’t help but feel thankful that you were blessed with kindhearted people as your members and family.

A week after the incident, you were able to push aside your partner’s infidelity and both Sua and Siyeon never talked about what happened either to respect your privacy, choosing to let you open up on your own accord.

It was all going fine, though you were ignoring all of your ex’s calls and texts, blocking them after the third day.

So imagine your surprise when they came knocking at your dorm a day after the fourteenth, looking visibly upset as Handong answered the door. “Can I help you?” She asked confusedly before they looked over her shoulder in search of you.

“Yeah. I’m looking for my girlfriend.” They huffed and your friend seemed even more confused as she shook her head. “I think you have the wrong address.” She was about to shut the door, but your ex was not leaving unless they had gotten a hold of you.

“I know that Y/n is there! Now, let me talk to her!”

Surprised, your members all looked to the door while you stood stiff by your room, Yoohyeon gripping your arm when she saw what was happening and Minji stepped beside Handong, ushering the younger girl to move back in case this was a sasaeng.

“I’m sorry, but I’m going to have to ask you to please leave. I don’t know how you got our address, but I suggest you go, now.” Her protective instincts were kicking in and Gahyeon looked worried as she joined you and the big puppy whilst Yubin was already grabbing her phone and contacting your manager in case things turned south.

However, as soon as Siyeon and Bora saw the look on your face, the pair sprang into action and bounded to the door with determined looks on their faces.

“It’s very admirable how you decided to come here after what you did but I think you should know that our Y/n is very much single and wouldn’t waste her time with someone like you.” Siyeon’s words were sharp, her glare already intimidating your ex whilst Bora asked Minji to go back inside. “Also, if you think you can walk away scot free after hurting her, then you have another thing coming.”

“What the hell are you talking about? I’m just here to talk to Y/n because she’s been ignoring me this whole week and then didn’t bother showing up last night.” They explained, but deep down they were already fearing how this conversation was headed.

Bora’s jaw clenched before she gripped the door’s handle and took a step closer, prompting them to take one back. “Listen here, I don’t know where you got that stick up your ass, but if you think you’re getting anywhere near Y/n after cheating on her, then you’re surely mistaken.”

“We have your picture and information. So unless you want to be sued for stalking and harassment, you better go. Based on what Y/n’s told us, she’s never told you our address, so I’d be very careful if I were you.” Their face paled at Siyeon’s threat and without another word, your ex nodded their head before turning around.

But before they could actually go, Bora stopped them. “Open your phone and give it to me.” She ordered, causing everyone to look at the shorter woman, including you.

“Why would I do that?” Your ex shot back but Bora was not having any of it as she held her hand out. So I’m sure that you don’t have any pictures of Y/n on there. I’m also deleting her number from your phone just so you don’t try any funny business.”

You were in so much shock that it took you a while to properly process everything. While Bora and Siyeon were taking care of your ex, Yubin let you sit down while everyone looked at you with concern in their expressions, all unsure with how to speak.

But Minji breaks the silence first with a soft “Are you alright?” and you nod your head slowly before exhaling deeply. “Sua unnie said they cheated on you... is that true?” Yoohyeon asked and you purse your lips before nodding your head. “I just caught them with another girl when I was buying a present.”

Hearing that caused Yubin to scoff and Handong rose a brow, her expression melting to disgust as she eyed your ex, who was still being glared at by Siyeon as Bora made sure to delete everything on their phone.

“You don’t need them unnie, don’t worry, you can do better.” Gahyeon huffed while crossing your arms and you smile lightly before nodding your head, letting them all catch a small glimpse of it before you were able to revert back to your usual calm self.

Later that day, when you catch Siyeon and Bora in the kitchen, you waste no time in walking up to them and wrapping your arms around both of their frames, catching them both by surprise while you muttered a quiet thank you before you hurried to your and Yubin’s room, leaving both girls grinning as they watched you walk away.

"the flight will be amazing! i heard they'd installed the new game we were talking about" i gushed to ned, excited for the whole flight to be filled with video games.

"im excited" ned stated practically jumping from excitement and i shook my head laughing

"OK CLASS!" Mr Harrington clapped his hands getting our attention "we're boarding the plane in a few minutes so pack your stuff and lets goooo" he pointed at our gate dramatically.

we walked to the gate, scanned our ticket and sat on our assigned seats, ned and i sat on the three seater, he took the window seat by winning a 3 round match of rock, paper, scissors *sighs angrily* and i obvious got the middle, kinda scared of who'll sit beside me though.

we had to wait for a few minutes, since we boarded the flight early. ned and i obviously started playing video games, too entranced by the small glowing screen infront of me i haven't realized a girl.

she hadn't really acknowledged me either because she looked tired, i cursed at the screen for losing the game too quickly and my dumb ass still didnt realize a GIRL, MY AGE, looking PRETTY FUCKING ADORABLE was sitting next to me. oh dear god.

after a couple more games and me being the most idiotic teenager known today for not looking at my right to see her  the flight attendant alerted us that the plane will take off so we the screen will freeze any moment. ned and i decided to sleep, it was very early in the morning and we need to rest if we plan on gaming most of the flight.

i closed my eyes and shifted a bit in my seat, and slept. the plain was moving at the time trying to find the best place to take off. i guess i was really tired that i havent felt someone sleeping on my shoulder.

i was peacefully sleeping still agitated from the uncomfortable seat but i heard a loud noise that frightened the life out of me and due to my spidey senses i sensed a hand on my right, so what did i do? i fucking held the hand. hard, may i add, from the fright.

i opened my eyes quickly and jumped a bit, turning around to see who's the stranger that i held hands with, startled as well. i sighed in relief knowing our plane was safe and it was just about to take off. but then i took a good look on the perso- her, took a good look on her, on her? OH MY GOD ITS A GIRL calm down peter and please dont scare her off. i couldnt stop looking at her and to my luck she was looking at me as well, but none of us spoke

i couldnt help but notice the small part of her y/h/c hair that was shown from her hood looked so shiny and smooth, her eyes were the most perfect shade of y/e/c. the extremely large hoodie looked so comfortable on her which made me think of her wearing one of mine, how big and long it'll look on her body sent butterflies to my stomach. she looked small, and precious so fragile yet she held her body confidently.

the voice of the flight attendant echoed through the speakers which made us both stop our trance of one another. even though the lady's voice wasnt scary it still frightened us. i mean no hate towards miss attendant she called me a cutie and gave me extra blankets

but coz we got startled again we held hands....again looking for the sources of the noise. we visibly relaxed once we realized what it was, looked at eachother and laughed, her laugh was angelic and soft, hands down the best sound ive ever head. she looked rather embarrassed from the encounter but i bet you a thousand dollars i look worse, i could practically feel the blood rush through my cheeks once she realized how long ive stared at her

"i- uhm i-im so sorry for sleeping on your shoulder, and- and holding your hand and stuff" she apologized, it only made me even more baffled by her. how could a voice match with a face so perfectly.

"no no its fine uhh i dont mind *nervous laugh* and for the hand thing i was the one who grabbed yours so i-i should be the one apologizing...im sorry" i rubbed the back of my neck. this is why i dont talk to girls, ever. well mj is an exception since shes like the closest thing i have to a friend other than my best friend obviously.

"i-im y/n, by the way" she lifted her hand properly introducing herself

"peter, peter parker" i shook her hand, it was nice feeling the warmth of her hand again. we probably held hands (for the third time today by the way) longer the we should have but who am i to say i was bothered. i definitely wasnt.

"nice to meet you peter" she smiled shaking our hands one last time then sitting it on her lap. scratch what i said about her gorgeous laugh, hearing her say my name was the best thing ive heard in my 16 year of existence. (her laugh is obviously the second best)

before i could ask anything else, the plane decided to finally take off. i adjusted myself to the seat, not turning to my right side anymore and closed my eyes trying to think of smiling puppies. ive been on a plane before, in fact a private one last year but that was it. this is my second time flying away from new york and i was a bit nervous.

y/n somehow noticed my sudden tense form, who am i kidding i looked like i was about to die coz of my nerves. and held my hand. and i immediately opened my eyes again, the feeling of her skin coming in contact with mine brought chills down my spine, good ones obviously

"you looked rather tense, is this ok?" she leaned into my ear so i could hear her. i looked at her confused on why she would want to help me but nodded as a reply. a smile crept on my face and i couldnt seem to take it off.  the take off went smoothly thank god. and ive occasionally squeezed her hand, usually when the plane made very loud sounds. but i made it! woohoo

i didnt know if i should stop holding her hand or not, even though i didnt want to. will she think im a creep? and if i did, will she think im rude? but i guess it didnt seem to bother her if she went back to sleeping. so i figured i should do the same

i shifted in my seat a couple of times trying to get the perfect comfy spot....nothing. this seat will be the death of m-

"you can sleep on my shoulder if you want" she whispered. "i figured since you let me sleep on yours which im very sorry about, you could sleep on mine" she smiled

"thanks, but i dont wanna bother you or make you uncomfortable"

"oh nonsense! my body is screaming right now cheering for me, well partially scolding at me for saying something risky like that to a good looking guy, its ok" she laughed, her eyes widened in shock from what she confessed. i smiled at her and rested my head on her shoulder

"you think im good looking?" i whispered playing with our fingers, i dont know when i got the sudden confidence but hearing someone like her think a loser like me is cute did something to me.

"shut up" she playfully shoved me and i laughed.

"are you from midtown?" i asked her

"no im from queens" she joked

"oh you're definitely from midtown" i chuckled, next thing i know i was having a normal conversation with me laying my head on a girl i just met like we knew eachother for years, it was nice to talk to a girl i potentially thought was cute instead of talking gibberish

she was very understanding and looked like interested into what i was saying, i was gonna skip my geeky side when she asked about what i like but to my surprise, she mentioned it when i asked her the same, she said she loves comics and likes watching sci fi movies. i asked her if she watched star wars and she said she didnt...yet.

"wanna uhm watch it together?" i played with her fingers absentmindedly nervous if she'd reject me.

"yeah sure" her eyes lit up like she was waiting for me to ask her that. we watched the movie in bliss, thankfully she liked it! and immediately said to put the second one. and surprise surprise, we finished it.

when the credits rolled in, i saw her yawning, shifting in her seat again, i decided to be bold so i lifted her head off my shoulder pulled the arm rest away from us, took a pillow and patted my lap. immediately after doing it i regretted it, she barely knows me, what the fuck peter.

"you sure?" she asked smiling a bit, she looked like she felt something giddy inside which made me feel at peace again and i nodded.

"good night" she whispered snuggling her head on my lap, i hesitantly put my arm over

"good night, y/n" and we fell asleep like how ned slept the whooole time i was talking to her, wow we have a lot to catch up on

i didnt know the whole plane (our class) practically gushed over my interaction with y/n, i know its been a while since i liked a girl but betty and the rest (including Mr Harrington) practically begged mj to take photos of us since she was the closest, not that she wouldnt have done it without them asking her....

Movie night

Friday night at 1 am in the base and its super quiet, to quiet.

Sanford lays in his bed staring at the ceiling, not tired in the slightest even after the long day of work. He thought about the day of shooting people in the face,exploding stuff, and going on a high speed chase with his cute boyfriend.

He wonders if deimos is asleep... But he dont want to wake him up if he is.

With a groan he got up from his bed and dug in his closet for a certain box, it was your standard cardboard box with the word movies written in sharpie.

Sanford pulled out the box and places it on the floor and dug through it, being the classic horror movie flicks kind of guy he picked out all the friday the 13th movies and slid the box back in the closet with his foot.

He turns on his tv,puts the dvd in, and starts the movie. Unaware that the volume is a little loud, loud enough to wake up the man in the next room.

Deimos sits up in his bed in a daze,hearing the sound of the intro to friday the 13th. "What the hell?" He says to himself with a yawn, not even bothering to go back to sleep he got up from his bed and left his room, spotting a light coming from underneath his boyfriend,sanfords door.

Deimos rubs his eyes slightly and braces himself for the light in the room to blind him before opening the door.

The tv light burned his eyes a bit before getting used to it to see sanford watching his tv, he seemed to not notice deimos standing there.

"Babe why are you up so late?" Deimos yawned, earning sanford to turn around to look at him then turning back to pause the movie "sorry hun. I just couldnt sleep" sanford explained after looking back at deimos who starts to wake up a little more "ill turn the volume down" sanford continued "nah its ok san, im already up" deimos walked inside and shuts the door.

"What are you watching?" Deimos asked, taking a seat beside sanford "friday the 13th" sanford answered back "you sure you dont want to go back to bed?" "Ya I'm positive babe, besides i wouldn't want you to stay up alone" deimos assured, leaning against sanford and rests his head on his shoulder "i dont mind it" he adds.

Sanford grins "just let me know if you get tired sweetheart" sanford says before unpausing the movie.

They both fell asleep halfway through the movie.

Miu fidgets in place, looking away from Kokichi. It's not that she's scared of him. She's Miu Iruma. She's not scared of anything. Sometimes it's just easier to say things when it doesn't feel like she's saying them to anyone.

"Why do you keep me around? If you don't want my body, and you don't actually like me as a person... Is it just to keep Kiibo happy, or what?"

「 ☆ 」   Kokichi spares a curious glance at Miu when she looks away, but it only lasts a moment. As if prompted, gaze raises upward instead, arms resting behind his head as he leisurely rocks back and forth on his heels. Unconcerned about where the other is facing, the perfect picture of ‘couldnt care less about what you are doing or saying’. So... no need to be nervous. There’s no high stakes here. Nothing hangs in the balance, no vulnerabilities to catch or revelations to be given. Just a random conversation to pass the time. Less important than the bangs Kokichi playfully blows out of his face, wide eyes and blank expression reminiscent of a child batting around an inane toy... Miu can say whatever it is she needs to. 

It’s not like there’s anything here to be scared of.

Truthfully, it doesn’t come as much of a shock at all. For all her flashiness and fornication, her mask is far from flawless. Frankly, Kokichi would barely give it a five out of ten. Far too easily shattered and far too one-note for his tastes... but that’s neither here nor there. Blowing at his hair with a soft ‘huh’, big eyes transform into that narrowed, catlike gaze, a slanted smirk slipping on with ease,  ❝  It’s cute you think I need you around to keep Kii-boi happy. We could be at each other’s throats and I could STILL make them forgive me in the bat of an eye and the suck of a robotic dick...  ❞  

Shrugging with a snicker, tone lilts with haughtiness mirrored in the arch of his spine, rocking coming to a halt so he can puff out his chest,  ❝  Trust me, I’m more than capable of satisfying our little Sparkplug’s emotional needs without any outside help.  ❞  ... A beat and a pop of his lips later, Kokichi adds with sharp articulation, wanting to make sure Miu is paying attention,  ❝  Nope. I keep you around for purely selfish reasons.  ❞

It might not seem like much of a statement to make, but all Kokichi can do is hope that Miu has spent enough time around him to be able to decipher it. She’s pretty smart... For someone with tits for brains. With that in mind, Kokichi keeps facing away from her, being as genuine as he can without his own fears breaking him open from the inside. But hey, if Miu can face away from him even if she’s not scared of his response... then he can be a little cryptic when giving it. That’s how this game of theirs works, after all.  ❝  I can’t STAND boring people... so I don’t bother wasting my time with someone if they can’t spice things up for me.  ❞

Of course, he is. This... insecurity doesn’t suit Miu. Facing away from him, doubting that she isn’t putting up with HIM rather than the other way around. That just won’t do.
