Can I request Arthur Morgan with male reader, who is a part of the O'Driscoll gang and secretly helps the Van Der Linde?
Long story short, male reader gives Arthur information on the O'Driscoll's plans and so on, the rest of Arthur's gang know reader and how much he's risking for them by meeting up with Arthur to warn him and stuff. Reader approached them himself some time ago, as he saw just how wrong the stuff his gang did was, earned their trust and proved to be a good man. They asked him several times to dirch the O'Driscolls and join them instead, as he was experiencing some truly vile, down right abusive, treatment from his father, Colm O'Driscoll, but he couldn't, as he was scared it would bring harm to Arthur and his family (the gang).
One night, when the Van Der Linde were supposed to meet him, he didn't show up. Arthur went to their usuall spot, next to a river, where he found a note from Colm, saying to meet him in a few days there, alone, with no backup. If he didn't show up or obligated by the terms, he would kill reader.
The rest is completely up to you, but please make it have a good ending! My heart can't take anymore angst stories with a bad ending TvT

To Be Astray
Pairing: Arthur Morgan x Male Reader
Summary: A family gone mad, you’ve found yourself leaving for a better life but nothing every comes that easy in an outlaw’s life.
Warnings: Typical in-game violence, neglect, abuse, torture (a bit mild in a way), homophobia (very little)
Word Count: 1734
A/N: I absolutely enjoyed writing this! Hopefully it doesn’t seem like word vomit on here and you actually enjoy reading it as much as I did writing! 🤍🤍
You’ve always stuck with your gut, whether it be running and fighting, drinking or gambling, or straying away from whom you once called family.
You’ve been running along with the O’Driscoll gang for quite a long time. You were born into the gang’s system, watch people come and go, innocent lives get taken by your hands.
“Steady boy!”
You were interrupted from your thoughts as your father, the infamous Colm O’Driscoll himself, tried to calm his horse down. It must’ve heard something and got spooked, oh that poor thing.
You couldn’t help but roll your eyes with a soft snort, continuing down a path with your father.
Colm talked and talked, new ‘promised’ futures, recruiting new members. Hell you have grown sick of him, you’d only gather information rather than follow them. You’d seen how cruel your father really is. Every time you fucked up a task, he’d beat you like a racing horse whose feet have been broken without a single person to care for it.
That’s till one night, at the mining camp in the harsh cold mountains. You were found by another gang, the Van Der Linde gang no less. You’ve always heard of the stories amongst fellow members, the rivalry between the two and the once unity they had as allies.
You were held to your will, treated like a prisoner until you went on missions with them to seek out your own gang, killing off your numbers and helping the enemy.
They warmed up to you no doubt, despite the history and the name you wore, you became an important essential to their gang. At first they offered you a place in their camp, a whole tent with food and water provided, but you knew you’d impose a great danger by staying.
So you reluctantly persuade them to let you go and promise to meet back every few days at a creek in the forest near their camp. You'd meet up with a member of the Van Der Linde gang to deposit a shit load of information about your father’s next moves, check up on one another before you returned back ‘home’.
“Alright, you can run off now. You know what you need to do” Your father spoke, earning a scoff from you as you turned the other way, hurrying off to the spot you were supposed to meet up at.
. . .
You tread through the vegetation, the oil lamp in your hand brightened the way. You were tired, but the information you promised was even better this time around after asking a bunch of loose-mouthed rookies.
You couldn’t help but smile, seeing your favorite cowboy come into view, his leaned fit body, the soft beard, those gentle eyes with his rugged face. You watched his lips curve and form into a smile, drawing you in.
“So glad to see you again hun.. been too long” Arthur sighed, wrapped his arms around your waist, pulling you close as he kissed your face, his beard ticking you as he swayed your bodies side by side.
You and Arthur had gotten together after so long, all those long talks, risky touches, compliments had led you to where you are now.
“Missed you too darlin’, can’t help but stray away huh?” You sighed, laying your head against him as you felt his lips touch your head ever so carefully.
“That’s not my intent.. been running around, stealing and robbing. Makes me wonder how a bad man like me ends up with a man so perfect and sweet.” Arthur spoke quietly, his hand, rough and calloused yet so soft and gentle, ran through your hair.
You savour the moment as the two of you sway side to side in each other’s arms in the dark blue cover the night brings. You’d almost forget you were criminals with how soft the moment was, with the soft rustling of leaves, the cold breeze that grazed your back as you were held in the warm arms your boyfriend provided.
Though it lasted a few good minutes, you had to get down to business. You explained the next game plans of your father’s operations and which big moves he was considering to make. Arthur listened intently, watching you and nodding when you said something important to let you know he was still listening to you.
Soon after, it was time to head back, the moon shining brightly on it’s highest peak.
“I’ll see you in the following days Arthur..” You smiled, jumping onto your horse, walking your mare over to lean down and kiss Arthur sweetly on his lips, his hand caressing your cheek before you pulled away, turning to leave with the most lovestruck smile on your face.
To hell you went as frantic steps rushed off.
But you had assumed they were Arthur’s.
. . .
You had rode back to camp, a sour scowl on your face, glancing at the weird glances you had gotten. Did something happen when you were gone? You were confused till you were greeted by the angry look on your old man’s face.
“You were WORKING with the Van Der Linde gang behind my back? My own SON. My own son is a fucking traitor to this family!” Colm had shouted at you, stomping over angrily before grabbing the collar of your shit, tugging harshly.
“I can’t even fucking believe it. I should’ve left you with the wolves, but god dammit! You’ve failed me. You’re not my son. You were never a true O’Driscoll. The darnest disappointment I’ve ever seen. Sleeping with fucking men too!? You're gonna damn well pay with your blood, splattered on the ground in front of that boy..”
You watched as your father raised his hand, falling rapidly before you even had time to brace for it. The hard slap collided with your cheek before you were thrown at the dirt, your father’s shoe kicking dirt in your face and spitting at you, ordering the men watching to tie you up.
“You fucking bastard! I’ll have your head on a pole waving over the fucking country to see!”
You screamed as you felt the harsh burn of ropes press against your skin, crying out in pain before the butt of a rifle was smashed against your temple, knocking you out cold.
. . .
Arthur waited for you at your usual spot, eager to meet you, but it had been hours and he was growing restless. He walked a bit further up the river in hopes to find you, but a white note hung by a knife that was posted into a dark tree caught his eye.
He looked around before he approached, yanking the note off the tree as his eyes widened.
“Shit!” Arthur cursed aloud, whistling for his horse, quickly mounting it before snapping the reins, hastefully sprinting out there to get some extra guns brought along before he formally meets up with Colm O’Driscoll himself.
. . .
You could’ve sworn you were passed out for more than a day. Your father starved you and treated you as if you were a feral prisoner.
You’d been waiting for hours and you were starting to doubt that you’d make it out of this situation alive. You worried for Arthur to come quicker with each passing click of the clock.
When you were about to shut your eyes in defeat, the loud trampling of what you assumed, two or three horses approaching. Your eyes looked up, hoping. And there he was.
Arthur arrived with an angry face of hatred, followed by Sadie and Charles. You were sat down on your knees, as the small group of Van Der Linde members dismounted their horses, Sadie and Charles raising their guns at the O’Driscolls that had done the same. The tension was high and this was no doubt gonna end up in a blood bath.
Arthur didn’t even let the man speak once he opened his mouth, his hand grabbing the revolver out of its holster and emptied all of its bullets out at the O’Driscolls.
Your father ran back, turning to aim his gun at you before you watched Charles harshly shove him to the ground. That didn’t stop the shot from firing right into your thigh. You yelled in pain as the bounds on your arms were cut free, immediately helped up by a pair of strong hands.
“Hang on Darling, we’re getting you out of here!”
Arthur helped you up onto his horse, yanking on the reins as he held you to his chest as you hissed in pain.
“I know love, I know, we’ll get that fixed when we get back I swear, stay strong, I know you can”
You nodded, doing your best as you turn back to find Charles and Sadie riding behind you two, not too far behind.
Arthur held you protectively the whole way, not even taking his hand off you for a moment as he took you to Hosea’s tent, laying you gently down on the cot, his eyes softening at your state, holding your hand tightly as he exchanged little words with Hosea who immediately got to work.
“You’re safe. I ain’t gonna let any O’Driscoll ever hurt you again. I swear on my life”
Arthur kissed your knuckles softly, holding it close to his face.
“Rest easy love, you have no idea how miserable you look.”
“You callin’ me ugly?”
You snorted weakly, smiling as you felt your eyes become heavy.
“No.. never love..”
. . .
You’ve awoken to loud snoring right beside you, only smiling once you turned your head to find your boyfriend in a nice change of clothes, sleeping in a sitting position with his head on the cot.
You awed softly, running your hand through his hair gently, sitting up with the help of your good leg, meeting Arthur’s worried eyes.
You were about to speak before he cupped your face and kissed you deeply, letting you melt into him before he pulled away with little crystallizing tears in his eyes.
“You’re one goddamn miracle..”
Arthur sighed happily, resting his head against yours as he sat himself down on the bed, wrapping his arms around you and pulling you in close.
“And you’re my incurable romantic..”
You chuckled, letting your lips connect one more time, finally, together again without a worry about having to go back there.
You’ve learned to love being astray, finding the most perfect man to love in the end.

What do you think would happen if Mihawk joined the Red Hair pirates or became an ally for them.
tbh this is already one of my theories (hopes?) for the future, that mihawk will eventually ally himself with shanks. like totally ignoring the mishanks aspect of this, i just keep thinking about how hard that would go, the two longtime former rivals suddenly allying themselves would spell such big trouble for the straw hats since shanks is also looking for the one piece… (besides, them teaming up against the straw hats already happened in one of the games which is not reliable obviously but i like that the possibility exists)
if he joined them, i think easily their bounties are jumping up high. marine hunter + emperor can’t be good together, especially while pursuing the one piece. shanks could easily make roger numbers, mihawk could break 4 billion. similar to how the whole world knew about their rivalry, news of their alliance would spread quickly. i imagine to join (or rejoin, if you believe that mihawk used to be on the crew anyway) the red hair pirates, mihawk would leave the cross guild. maybe he ultimately thinks helping shanks find the OP assures him more of the success of its supposed effect of destroying the world government. i can imagine their alliance becoming big news, and mihawk and the red hair pirates suddenly going radio silent as they start getting into their plans. i don’t see a version of their alliance where the world government doesn’t become desperate to catch them, given individually they are already capable of so much damage and together it’ll be doubled or even tripled against them.
them teaming up this late in the story would be such a crazy move like. it’d shake the world just as their duels did. cannot stress enough how much i pray for this to happen. who knows how it’ll really pan out if it does, but that’s what i think may happen. the alliance is a big thing, and then they go quiet for a while because shanks and mihawk are not interested in openly engaging in conflict with others, only seeking their goals. you’d think no news from them is a good thing, because individually it means they’re not up to anything, but their silence while together would be a big cause for panic for the world gov (similar to benn warning shanks that the world gov will freak out if he goes to meet with whitebeard in the skypiea arc).
i don’t think shanks and luffy want to fight each other, but both going after the one piece does make them competitors for the same position anyway. they’ll be put in each other’s path, and having mihawk in the rhp is the perfect opportunity to have a mihawk vs zoro duel. taking inspiration from the game, mihawk and shanks could get a leg up on them but choose to leave the battle, inspiring the straw hats to power up now that they know they have to be able to take on both mihawk and shanks at the same time.
sorry i went on so long lmao, i happened to be thinking about this last night (specifically was thinking about a theory that mihawk’s final goal - other than finding a successor for his title - is to help shanks be pirate king, as a mirror to zoro… i’ll expand on that if someone asks lol i won’t post it in this ask)
anyway hopefully that’s kinda what you asked i’m sorry i rambled

Future Comforts - Bart Allen x Bat!Reader
Word Count: 2,258
Summary: Bart has been waiting patiently, but it must be starting to show, because he is sure that you’re getting suspicious that something is going on. He needs to ask the question soon; hiding one little ring from a detective is harder than he thought.
Notes: Supposed to be a sequel to “Future Worries” but can be read as a standalone. Original was requested by @tid4lwave.
Part I here
…★…
Leaving the ring with Iris from the beginning likely would have been the better option. Anything would have been a better option than having it in the same apartment that Bart had been sharing with you. He had moved it 47 times before taking it to Iris and Barry with the hopes it would finally throw you off the trail. Or that the prospect of going against Iris would at least keep you at bay.
In hindsight, he wanted to propose to not only a detective, but a member of the Gothamite Bat-family. Snooping, and the ability to read Bart like an open book, had always been a key element of their relationship.
And despite the speedster’s attempts at being as patient as possible, it must have been showing in his demeanor that he had something planned. And in turn, your curiosity had been sparked.
But with the ring out of the house where you would hopefully be unable to find it and his behavior becoming far too noticeable, Bart needed a lie, and he needed one fast.
Thankfully, Tim, who had already been a significant ally in Bart’s desperate quest, had taken care of hiding any trace of the ring purchase or where Bart had been – and even better, had firmly kept his mouth shut when you had inevitably confronted him, and then when you had tried to lovingly blackmail the information out of him.
Bart shuddered to think of what he owed his friend now.
Even more so when it was Tim who suggested Bart sit you down and explain that he had wanted to do something special for you and had planned a date to accomplish as much.
Bart had to agree, it was not too far out of line for him to show his affections in such ways, and the pair of you had been kept busy with your respective hero duties, which had left many cancelled dates and night spent alone in the wake of the last few weeks. You were both overdue for some couple's alone-time, and with the rest of the Bats and Speedsters clued into what was happening, an agreement was struck that unless the world was actually ending, the date was not to be interrupted.
Bart could not stress that enough.
Still, the whole thing had to be booked and finalized before he could even sit you down and talk about it. Bart knew you well – if something was out of place you might try and argue that you were too needed. But if everything was already set, you likely would not have the heart to turn it down. And if push came to shove, Bart was ready to pull his nuclear option: the puppy dog eyes.
Lady Luck seemed to be on his side however when you made it home from patrol that night to find him sitting at your small table, dinner ready.
It was an odd sight, at least with the last few days, but your stomach accepted for you when it ever so graciously decided to growl louder than one of Harly Quinn’s hyenas. Bart waved it off though and pulled out your seat, seeming all too pleased with something.
It had you watching him suspiciously – you knew when he was plotting. And though they were always surprises that you enjoyed, you were still cautious of his mischievous side.
But dinner went off without a hitch, and by the end of it, Bart snuck his question in during idle conversation. “So, how would you feel about taking a day off and going out?”
“I mean, it would have to be a day I don’t have patrol if we would be out long.”
“You have two consecutive nights off next week. Batman already okayed it.”
This had your attention. Bart had gone straight to Batman to ensure you would have the time off? Something was up, and you were too tired to beat around the bush. “Alright, out with it, what did you do?”
There is not a hint of shame as Bart seemed to vibrate in his seat, upper body supported by the table as he leaned towards you. “Something spectacular, baby bat, you’ll love it. I promise.” His smile seems to soften there but his energy remains infectious. “We both need a little R&R – so I got some time off cleared with the big bad bat himself. I already set everything up, so there isn’t anything that you need to worry about. I promise, I just want to spend some time with you.”
His tone is so earnest that you don’t even question it before nodding and tugging him closer so you can give him a quick kiss. “Thank you.” And the sincerity in your voice can’t be faked, so you watch as Bart's smile goes soft once more.
“Of course, now come on, let’s go to bed.”
There isn’t an argument to be made, and with a full stomach, a hot shower to be had, and the promise of curling up next to your partner and sleeping, no one could blame you for going along so easily.
Days later, when you get home to find one speedster and two overnight bags thrown together you thankfully already know what is happening. It had somewhat explained Tim’s snickering through the day every time he looked in your direction – not that you even wanted to begin diving further into that one.
“Ready to go?”
“As ready as I’ll ever be,” you hum, slinging your own bag over your shoulder before following your speedster out the door.
To say you’re surprised when you arrive would be an understatement – and you understand now why he blindfolded you the moment you were both outside of Gotham city limits. You're nowhere near home, instead having been brought to a cozy cabin. It isn’t too far from civilization, you can see the lights of a town nearby, but it certainly is not anywhere that you have been before.
So that was a check next to the start.
The rest of the trip didn’t disappoint either. Bart had not been lying when he had told you that he had planned everything down to the last detail – but with just how thorough he had been something special had to have been today. You raked your mind to remember but nothing stood out.
Still, thinking after the events of the day had been a challenge as is; you had woken up late to find your speedster was no longer next to you, before he had brought in trays of breakfast so you could both eat in bed. A sweet start that had you paying him in kisses and an extra pancake.
Next was a trip into town where a cute local festival was being held. The temperature was near perfect and the food was delicious. Bart pulled you to-and-fro, and each time things seemed to be too much for you he would immediately pull you both aside.
By 3 that evening you had both worn yourselves out – seeing everything that you could possibly see. Then Bart had given you a heads up to the rest of his plan - heading back to watch your favorite movie at the cabin, and then later, around 5:30, setting off on a short hike to a lake nearby to see the sunset.
You teased him a little on the hike back over the sugary sweetness of the date he had planned, but when he questioned you further about it you relented in admitting it was a sweet gesture you were thoroughly enjoying. Especially with him by your side.
He seemed to brighten up at this and had remained that way through the entire movie. Or what you remembered of it, you had admittedly fallen asleep during one part, and Bart had only awoken you so that you didn’t miss one of your favorite scenes.
That left one last task to check off the list. Bart was already prepared for the walk there and back once it had gotten dark, but his demeanor had changed to some extent as well.
You noticed the way he kept fidgeting, glancing to you each time he thought that you were distracted. The way that his fingers kept tapping against the pocket of his jacket and how he seemed unable to stop shifting from side to side. He was up to something; you just could not figure out what it was yet. You avoid asking, waiting for him to come clean on his own as the pair of you make your way off to the little trail that would lead to the lake.
Bart had said it would be a short walk, but he had never said a silent one, something he amended when you were more than halfway there.
“Hey Baby Bat.”
This catches your attention from the squirl you had been watching run ahead of you. “Hm.”
“You know that I love you, right?”
It's the way his tone changes as he speaks that has you straightening up, studying his expression as you agree.
He notices, chuckling but otherwise paying it no mind as he continues. “And we’ve been together for a while now, right?”
His choice of words has you faltering and you must physically remind yourself to breathe. You know exactly what this is starting to sound like. Thankfully his hand is in yours, so he can tug you forward – otherwise you might be left behind in your stupor.
You can only nod, momentarily caught off guard when you emerge from around the bend and finally see past the tree line.
The lake is clear as glass, its top only disturbed by the gentle caress of wind. Still, it reflects the vibrant hues of the sunset in a way that has your thoughts halting. Firey reds and oranges dance across, tinges of purple and dark blue where the night is slowly making its lulled entrance. A few of the brightest stars already stand center stage in the sky, curtained by the puffy clouds silhouetted with golden hour light that permits a heavenly glow. The shine of the fading light has cast the forest and lake in an almost ethereal shroud.
It is only then that you notice Bart is no longer standing beside you, but kneeling on one knee, a small black velvet box in hand.
Your voice is nowhere to be found as you stare down at him, waiting for the gentle sounds of night approaching to be broken.
It isn’t, you find, because when Bart speaks again, his voice so soft and sure, it seems to fit right in with the world around you.
“I had this whole speech planned out – but I’ve been giving pieces of it all day and now it seems a little weird to just repeat it,” he admits with a sheepish grin.
You can’t help the huff of laughter that leaves you.
He takes a deep breath and finally continues. “We’ve been through a lot over the years. From awkward first meetings to our first disaster of a date – which, I cannot believe you agreed to a second one after that.”
It had been bad, you recalled with a wince, nothing had gone to plan. But he had stolen your heart then and there, of course you had agreed to a second.
“You’ve been there for me when things have gotten rough, in battle and in life. And I hope that you feel just as supported. We’ve both overcome so much already, and I know the future can be scary, but I’m ready to take it on if I have you with me. I know we’ll be okay.”
You can hear the way his voice cracks and see the tears in his eyes, knowing you’re no better off for the moment either.
“What I’m trying to ask is, will you marry me?”
The request is punctuated with Bart opening the box, revealing the ring inside, but you hardly see it, eyes too focused on the man in front of you. It almost doesn’t register that you’ve sunk to your knees too, pulling him into a hug. You can hear the words yes being repeated before you realize it’s your own voice saying it, not that you mind – there was never another answer to give.
You finally pull back to properly look at him, taking his face in-between both your hands and squishing it. You ignore the way he sticks his tongue out at you in retaliation. “Of course, I’ll marry you, Bart.”
He cracks at that, pulling you into a tighter hug than the one you gave, though it only lasts a moment before he is pulling back to slip the ring on your finger. “We can wait however long we need to get married, don’t feel like we need to rush it.” Bart knows the worry that might overtake you, choosing to get ahead of it now. “I just wanted everyone to know who I plan to spend my life with.”
You can’t find the words to respond, only nodding as you choke back the tears threatening to fall.
“We should probably start heading back before it gets too dark – we can order delivery or something,” Bart tempts as he pulls you to your feet.
“Yeah, yeah that is fine by me. Just know you are getting so many kisses,” your words are a bit more aggressive near the end as you squish his face between your palms once more. “I love you so much, Bart.”
“I love you too.”

can you do a yandere madara who’s like closed off and reserved from his wife but eventually she gives up and he’s like oh ur not leaving! omg this sounds dumb asffff
Oh, don't even say this is dumb! If there's an Uchiha I can totally picture as a Yandere, it's definitely Madara, so this was fun!
TW: Yandere! Madara
Pairing: Uchiha Madara / reader
Tumblr media
Despite being an arranged marriage, (Y/N) was genuinely excited to be paired with one of the strongest shinobi in the world. It wasn't just his legend she was drawn to, but the beauty this man carried. How could one be so handsome and powerful at the same time?
When the proposal came to her village, her father was quick to respond, unable to turn down the opportunity to marry his firstborn to one of the most influential men in the five nations. To have the Uchiha as allies, more so, as a family, was an opportunity only a fool would turn down.
As soon as the arrangements were made, (Y/N) was sent to their lands to embark on her new destiny, having to live with a man she had never seen in person. Nothing stopped her from keeping positive thoughts, visualizing the wonderful future she would lead with the head of the largest clan in the country.
She was greeted with a warm welcome from the entire village except for Madara.
The man she was supposed to love for eternity simply waved at her from afar, complied with all the formalities, was present at the wedding, and disappeared completely. Not caring if (Y/N) was all alone in an unknown land and far from her family, he chose to keep busy with his duties as leader rather than spend time with her.
He would arrive late at night when she was already asleep, and leave early in the mornings before she woke up, (Y/N) would hopefully bump into him at some point during the day, while walking around the village or socializing with whomever she encountered.
It became a very lonely situation, the opposite of what she thought she would experience being here. She ended up as the pretty doll of the headman, who barely spoke to her.
All her obligations, as her father had instructed her, were fulfilled, and she avoided causing a scene about her situation just so as not to bring conflict to her family. She did not feel comfortable enough with anyone to discuss what was troubling her, having minimal and general contact with the women of the clan, and none with the men, who stayed away from her out of respect for their leader.
It all culminated in chaos when they had to attend her brother-in-law's birthday party. Izuna was celebrating in splendor, throwing a party for everyone in the family at the central house, and not skimping on food or drink. Everyone would celebrate along with him on a magnificent night, full of light, fun, and fire.
(Y/N) was adorned and dressed in luxurious and expensive clothes, things she would have marveled at long ago had she not been going through what she was currently enduring. "Lord Madara sent these to you, Madam (Y/N). He hopes they are to your liking."  Reported the maid who was helping her dress and beautify herself.
She had been there for three months, and it was the first gesture the Uchiha had made to her. What infuriated her the most, was the man not even deigning to hand them to her, as if he wanted to avoid her at all costs. Did he hate her? Did he sacrifice himself in marriage as a political move, with no hope of getting anything positive out of the experience? Did he even want her there?
A million questions ran through her mind daily, and receiving that gorgeous attire simply triggered more. (Y/N) could not utter a word on the matter, allowing her maid to help her in silence. She finished getting ready when the night was well advanced, and the birthday boy was supposed to finally announce his presence with a triumphant entrance.
Izuna's orders required Madara to be there watching him play out his scene, and that meant, according to the policy of their marriage, so did she. As appearances and laws demanded, she would sit like a precious puppet, smiling vacantly and interacting with whoever approached her, feigning happiness and gratitude to her husband.
Thus, she spent most of the evening perched next to her husband at the main table, eating and watching as everyone wanted to be near him, trying to generate conversation about even the simplest things.
At some point in the night, when almost everyone was already drunk, Izuna decided to say some special words of appreciation. He called for everyone to gather around him, and requested Madara's presence at his side.
(Y/N) expected him to at least pretend, take her by the hand and invite her to join her in the center of the meeting with his younger brother, but to no avail. The man simply stood and ignored her completely, smiling at Izuna. The crowd cheered for him and everyone applauded, closing the circle as the two brothers hugged and laughed at the night protagonist’s drunken words.
She decided enough was enough. It was one thing to ignore her in private and keep up appearances in public for everyone to trust in their romantic and perfect relationship. It was something else entirely to disregard her in front of everyone, not even validating her presence at his side, not recognizing her as his wife in front of an event as important as someone's birthday in the family.
Shut away and forgotten at the edge of the limelight, she decided that was it. She would sneak off and lock herself in the room they were both supposed to share and write a letter to be sent immediately to her father, in hopes he would understand the situation, and allow her to continue the marriage from afar, from the happiness of her home.
It's not like the Uchiha would care if she was there or not, having scorned and neglected her since her arrival. They probably shared the most eye contact at their wedding, with the man not even bothering to consummate their marriage. Madara avoided getting into bed with her, disappearing into the evening festivities.
(Y/N) slipped away slyly, ignoring the curious glances directed at her. She was almost at the door, when one of her maids called out to her, "Madam (Y/N)! Where are you going in such a hurry? Aren't you enjoying the party?"
Despite the ambient noise, people shouting and laughing, and all the chaos of the celebration, the girl felt a pair of special eyes boring into the back of her head. Meters away and among all the family separating them, Madara was staring intently.
She felt apprehensive about those black orbs, his invasive and violent gaze, and had the urge to run, to hide where he couldn't find her.
Ignoring him, (Y/N) made a successful exit, making her way to the privacy of her chamber. She set to work immediately, looking for paper and ink to write. Halfway through her letter, she heard the sliding bedroom door open, and footsteps approaching her.
"What the fuck do you think you're doing (Y/N)?" The first time her husband had articulated more than two words in a sentence to her. He caught her in the act, making her scratch the paper with an unplanned line of ink.
"So, you know my name, I'm impressed..." She was trying to maintain the appearance of a strong woman, stand up to the man everyone fears, and not be intimidated. Her lucky attempt ended when the Uchiha lifted her by the arm, pushing her away from the desk and slamming her against the wall.
He enclosed her in his arms, leaning dangerously close to her personal space. "You're going to stop acting like a spoiled brat and face the reality of your new life. You're not going anywhere, and if you try to escape, your family's village will be reduced to ashes by my own hands."
He kissed her hard, catching her off guard and forcibly, (Y/N) wasn't sure whether to shift her face or give in, but Madara's momentum left her no choice but to take it and reciprocate. She finally got what she had longed for, but at what cost?
"You don't want me here, you don't desire me as a woman, you don't see me as a wife, you won't even talk to me or look at me!" Her eyes filled with tears, humiliated in front of the man who should love her.
"Things don't work the way you want them because I call the shots, I dictate how everything works. You will be my beautiful wife and you will open your legs when I want you to like the good woman you are, otherwise, I will force them open for you. Fuck, maybe we'll even love each other at some point. Behave yourself, (Y/N)."
With the end of his statement, he lifts her into the air, scooping her up in his arms and tossing her carelessly onto the bed.
"Now, let's finally consummate this marriage, shall we?"

L: Lycanthropy AU seventeen moons by we_built_the_shadows_here [snily, G, 6k] “The scar is small, at least,” Pomfrey says, pulling the bandage snug around the cleaned wound. There’s a pity in her voice that makes Severus want to throw up again. “It will be easily covered.” Dumbledore catches him inspecting it, as if mesmerized. “You are lucky to have survived at all,” the Headmaster says. Severus does not say I don’t feel very lucky because it is stupid and obvious. Instead, he says unsteadily, “I want to press charges, sir.” Pomfrey stills, tightening the bandage to the point of discomfort. “Remus Lupin would be executed,” Dumbledore says. “The Ministry takes a dim view of werewolves who infect other wizards.”
M: Musician AU Bubblegum Blues by reachthetree [wolfstar, M, 5k] Remus actually looks down as she smiles, like a shy teenager in a first kiss scenario, and it gives Sirius deja vu. She’s lived this exact moment before. Only in another life. When Remus lifts the bass, Sirius sees a tattoo on the back of her upper arm, and drops her little notebook on the sticky floor. She’s only known one other person with a tattoo like that. But it can’t be… Can it?
N: No Voldemort AU Sing Me a (Christmas) Love Song by andromedablacc [James/Sirius, G, 1k] James is a famous Quidditch player, and once upon a time Sirius was famous in his own right.
O: Office AU Of Tinsel and Nice Starts by nerakrose [wolfstar, G, 2k] Mysterious clouds and strange coffee abounds. Office romance.
P: Photographer AU Rule of Thirds by bluepeony [wolfstar, G, 2k] Modern AU: Sirius Black, star of the university's football team, only wants one thing: a teensy-weensy, harmless little kiss.
Q: Quidditch Player AU our kiss is as the moon to draw by blackkat [lily/narcissa, T, 1k] “Problems, cousin?” Narcissa calls to Sirius, cool and sugar-sweet. She’s smirking, braid of pale hair coming loose, and Lily should absolutely be cheering for Gryffindor, but she can't help herself. As Narcissa turns into a sharp dive, snatching the Quaffle right out of James's hands as she passes, she whoops, clapping her hands together. “I think this is the part where I'm supposed to call you a traitor,” Remus observes from the seat beside her, as dry as dust, though he hasn’t even lifted his gaze from his book.
R: Receptionist AU They don't love you like I love you by moonlightgalleon [wolfstar, G, 5k] Hospital receptionist Remus Lupin usually invites superheroes as guests for the kids. That is, until he gets the unusual request of inviting villain The Canis.
S: Soulmate AU Amare Series by ABlackRaven [harry/cedric, T, 173k] Cedric feels drawn to protect Harry Potter. Whether this be from Dementors on a Quidditch pitch or the tasks of a life-threatening tournament, he's determined to help him. He can't help but worry about the younger boy. Eventually friendship takes root and potentially…something more? Harry feels drawn to Cedric, safe when he is near. He certainly has no shortage of dangers in his life, from an abusive home life to the growing threat of Voldemort. He cant help the guilt that he puts Cedric in danger by proximity. Eventually friendship takes root and potentially…could he hope for something more? And when the end of the third task goes horribly wrong, will either of them survive? A rewrite of Book 4 revolving around Harry and Cedric.
T: Time Travel AU Escaping the Paradox by Meri [snarry, E, 35k] After Harry is thrown back in time to 1971, he has several choices to make. (also available as a podfic)
U: Undercover AU The Chosen One & The Halfblood Prince by waitingondaisies [Harry & Severus, T, 93k] Severus Snape was discovered as a spy mere days before the start of the school year. Thankfully, Albus had been working on a vague contingency plan for this possibility. It had been inspired by the question, “What would it take for Severus Snape to see that he was wrong about Harry Potter?” The answer? Force Severus to go undercover as Alfonse “Eli” Hopkirk, a sixth year Gryffindor.
V: Vampire AU Immortal Claim by ladyofsilverdawn [snarry, E, 16k] Harry needs Snape's cooperation to solve a case, but navigating vampiric culture and Snape's powerful allure proves more challenging than he anticipates.
W: Western AU Hell and High Water by Krethes [susan bones/pansy parkinson, T, 7k] Pansy is the daughter of the leader of a notorious band of outlaws that's been running this dusty old town for as long as she can recall. Then one day a new sheriff rides into town with her pretty little niece at her side who keeps making pretty little eyes at Pansy and -- aw, hell. (also available as a podfic)
X: N/A
Y: Youtube AU real life has no appeal by orphan_account [wolfstar, G, 7k] In which Remus is Lily's roommate and Sirius, James and Peter break into places.
Z: Zombie AU Love In A Time Of The Zombie Apocalypse by rizzlewrites [dramione, E, 356k] After Voldemort, there was this. The clock is ticking to create a cure to the unimaginable horror that currently grips the world. Hermione finds herself unwillingly allied with the most hated man in Wizarding Britain. (also available as a podfic)
Yes, yes, I know. The first and last list items are the same, but there are only so many zombie and/or apocalypse AUs.

Elain is the Key
(one of them)
It always throws me off when I see anti's claiming Elain is irrelevant to the series when truly, she's set up to be one of the main players at this point. I also find it odd when certain parts of the fandom choose to ignore how relevant she actually is to certain storylines because it doesn't support their ship.
Eris and Rhys held each other’s gaze. Eris said, “You’ve been trying to bring Tamlin back for a while. But he isn’t getting better, is he?”
"I can delay my father from allying with Briallyn and starting this war for a little while. But not forever. A few months, perhaps."
"Discover whether Koschei is indeed involved. At best, we’ll stop them all. At worst, we’ll have proof to justify any conflict and hopefully win allies to our side, avoiding the bloodshed that would carve up these lands once more
At the start of SF, we're told they have two main goals.
Either they stop Koschei and Briallyn
Or they win allies to their side with the information in hopes they can avoid bloodshed through the peace treaty. (meaning if they can gain allies they can avoid another war).
But they're not working with a whole lot time. Eris says a few months at most before his father tries to ally with Koschei and Briallyn (which passed by in SF).
By the end Nesta stopped Briallyn however they didn't stop Koschei. And they did not win any allies to their side in hopes they can avoid bloodshed as throughout SF, Mor was unable to get the peace treaty signed.
That means they still need to resolve these issues.
Some keep trying to connect Elain to the crossover, that she'll suddenly have her inactive Seer powers reactivated to help Bryce. That she'll visit Hel.
Bryce is Crescent City and ACOTAR characters may lend a tiny supporting role but I really don't think they're getting the focus, not to mention Elain's powers are dormant in her own series. Why would they make a reappearance for the first time in someone elses? Also, Elain doesn't need to be a focus when she's got a much more major part to play in her own world and the future of ACOTAR's own people. And that future is Spring (because Beron wants it, it's borders are not enforced and the need for its army) and the continent (because of Koschei and the treaty), at least for now.
Since the novella, we have heard how important Springs borders are due to it's location next to the human lands and how anyone looking to expand would have to go through Spring first. Rhys said he doubted he'd get a decent nights sleep until he spoke with Tamlin about it and got no reassurance that Tamlin was willing to do something to enforce his borders. Now Beron is setting his sights on that court due to it's lack of leadership. 45% of the way through SF, Cassian (the general of the Illyrians) tells us that because a new war is possible they need a strong ally, they need the Spring Courts forces.
Right now, the IC has all but labeled Spring as a major piece of the puzzle towards settling the unrest in Prythian (what with certain High Lords vying for the territory there) and the human lands. If Spring falls, it is a major issue for the rest of them. If they don't have Springs army, it's a problem.
The ONLY characters tied into Spring in a significant way are Tamlin (current High Lord), Lucien (now permanently stationed there as their eyes and ears and the last to actually do his duty to the court at Calanmai) and ...... Elain:
SJM telling us Spring had been made for someone like Elain in the same book she tells us that "but wearing black, no matter how much she claimed to be part of this court.... it sucked the life out of her" is really not a small hint. I'm not sure she could be any clearer other than coming right out and telling us "Elain isn't staying in the NC". Throughout the series, we're also given clues as to what Elain can do for the Spring Court:
The Spring Court had felt stagnant. Hollow. Empty despite its growing life.
She had been always so full of light.
Empty versus full
Distant - because on the estate, nothing bloomed at all. The pink roses that had once climbed the pale stone walls of the sweeping manor house were nothing but tangled webs of thorns. The fountains had gone dry, the hedges untrimmed and shapeless."
"After all of this....I think the world needs more gardens."
"A gentle grower of things"
Nothing bloomed versus more, a grower of things
“Are these still your lands?” Nesta asked coolly, stepping out from behind Cassian. “Last I heard, you don’t bother to rule them anymore.”
But Elain … The Spring Court had been made for someone like her.
Loss versus gain
And though he roams these lands, he does not see or care for the neglect he passes, the lawlessness, the vulnerability
Elain would love this place.
Neglect versus love
"I don't have anywhere else to go.""You ruined any chance I have of going back to Spring. Not to Tamlin, but to the court beyond his house. Everyone still believes the lies you spun or they believe me complicit in your deceit".
“My sister Elain can convince anyone to do anything with a few smiles.”
Mistrust versus trust
At the end of SF, Eris acknowledges that while Briallyn is now gone, the IC has bigger issues they need to focus on. Beron (who we know has set his sights on Spring) is "stupid enough" to establish an alliance with Koschei and he's furious that his old ally is dead. If someone is going to go head to head with Beron, shouldn't that be Lucien (and maybe Eris too?). Not only was Jesminda murdered by Beron but he's been abusing Lucien and Eris's mother as well Az torturing his sons. If Elain and Lucien end up together then she's involved in that storyline.
The unsigned treaty on the continent is also a concern (a treaty Lucien's real father played a role in helping put together).
Koschei is on the continent.
Vassa is about to be called back to the continent ("But Vassa's freedom would end." "She would have to return to the lake" "Tell my Vassa I'm waiting")
And the characters tied into those storylines?
Lucien and Jurian aren't going to sit idly by while their friend is taken away by a villain.
If Mor was unsuccessful in getting the treaty signed then what other characters do we know of who excel at talking to people?
Who better to persuade them than someone who can convince others to do anything with nothing but a few smiles?
Also, Nesta wonders if Elain would travel to the continent. But not where the flower fields are, to the other continent south of that and in ACOWAR, Elain's visions were how they learned of Koschei, Vassa, the other girls and the hidden box he keeps.
This is going to sound a bit egotistical on behalf of the character of Elain but truly, I don't think it's that farfetched to say that as of SF, Elain has been set up to be the most important main character (along with Lucien) to putting a stop to what they consider the most major threats of their world at this time based on her connections to those things and since it's confirmed she will get a book.
Who else that's getting a book would be a candidate for helping to restore Spring? Why else would Nesta remind us about Elain having wanted to travel to the continent but taking a step further and specifying a completely different area than the tulip fields?
I'm sure the crossover will introduce new concerns that could effect them down the line, like other villains entering their world but those have not yet been introduced into the ACOTAR series and are not things yet connected to Elain.
The treaty is unsigned, they NEED Spring up and running yet it hasn't been since the novella, and Koschei / Beron are major concerns.
Trying to claim Elain has a bigger purpose in the NC makes no sense to me. As of SF, what is a more major threat in the NC than what I've listed above? Also, trying to pull Az into the Tamlin / Spring storyline or Az into the peace treaty / Koschei / Vassa storyline is such a reach it's amusing. And claiming Elain isn't relevant to the series right now is just as much of a joke.

Clive x Female reader where the reader had a bad dream. The reader panicked after waking up from the nightmare. Reader is crying. Clive hugs the reader and comforts the reader. Reader falls asleep on Clive after the comfort.
Ah, that's a sweet request. Your wish is my command.
Tumblr media
Pairing: Clive Rosfield x Female! Reader
Warnings: A very brief mention of nightmares and violence
----------------------------------------------------
You, Clive and your allies decide to make camp for the night as everyone is bone tired after a long and harrowing day of battling enemies and hiking through the wilderness to get to one destination to another.
You dread every single night as you have been experiencing nightmares recently due to the current war, violence and bloodshed that had rained upon your peaceful life that resulted in the loss of your loved ones.
This night could perhaps turn out differently because the former royal, Clive Rosfield is here for you because you ended up having one of your nightmares which left you in tears.
Clive beckons you to come over to his side so he could comfort you and you do as you are told before he holds you in his arms as he wipes the tears away from your face.
After what felt like forever, you finally fell asleep on his chest looking peaceful as Clive observed you admire your face and silently notes that you reminded him of his younger brother, Joshua who used to go into his room whenever he had a nightmare during their childhood.
Clive vows to protect you for the rest of his life because he has grown quite attached to you ever since you helped him and his allies by healing their injuries during a brutal battle.
Hopefully, he'll have the courage to ask you to become his only maiden in the foreseeable future once his revenge is over.

End of short story. Likes and reblogs are very much appreciated. Thank you for requesting me, dear.

What if, in Sonic CD, instead of fighting alone Yan!Sonic get darling's help. And when they save Amy? Uh oh it looks like the girl is liking the blue blur's friend a bit to much for his liking, hopefully she'll stop bothering them right? It's really starting to get on his nerves
Have a good day/night
I can try! This heavily implied to be Classic Sonic due to it being Sonic CD. Which means this blue hedgehog won't be speaking.
Mostly just Classic being jealous and thinking of violence but not acting on it... yet-
Yandere! Classic Sonic the Hedgehog with Darling too close to Amy Rose
Short Concept - Sonic CD
Pairing: Romantic/Platonic
Possible Trigger Warnings: Gender-Neutral Darling, Vague if Romantic or Platonic Yandere, Jealousy, Slight possessive behavior, Implied thoughts of murder or torture.
Tumblr media
- It was nice to fight Eggman with help, especially this time where the doctor was now armed with Metal Sonic.
- Sonic had found himself growing close to this ally he found by chance.
- You wanted to help defeat Eggman and save Amy with him, doing whatever you could to help.
- Once you both win by saving the past and future from the corrupt doctor, Sonic's thankful you greet Amy for him.
- Until the hedgehog notices the girl become a little too close to you for liking.
- "You saved me! What's your name? You had the honor of helping Sonic!? You're so cute!"
- You're bashful to the pink hedgehog's compliments, waving it off and saying you just wanted to help.
- All the while Sonic is silently seething at the attention Amy was stealing from him.
- The young blue blur would be lying if he denied the fact he liked you.
- He did, a lot, but not to the degree of Amy being fanatic of him.
- He played it cool when around you.
- Sonic wasn't even sure what to do about Amy clinging and thanking you until he stepped in on instinct.
- "Oh? Hey Sonic! Your new friend's pretty great! How'd you meet?"
- Sonic partially ignores her and turns his attention to you.
- "Sonic...? You look upset."
- The shorter hedgehog did indeed look upset, annoyance was in his gaze whenever Amy was around you.
- Deep down, Sonic wished Amy wasn't in the picture.
- She got in between you two.
- She either took all of your attention or his.
- It's amusing to see the short blue hedgehog cross his arms and rapidly tap his foot while looking at you, but you didn't understand it.
- Sonic only ever reverts to his normal attitude when Amy isn't around.
- The blue blur runs around you excitedly and does his normal confident tricks.
- Then Amy comes to see you both and Sonic shuts down.
- You hope it's just some minor jealousy thing...
- Although with the way Sonic always looks at Amy with envy...
- You pray the poor pink hedgehog is safe.

In Pursuit of Legends... and Growth
When pursuing the future we all look for different things – stability, companionship, happiness and so much more. Some may chase a particular goal, others go with the flow, while others simply drift, unsure of where to go and what to do. We also all have, at one point or another, experienced some form of hardship, perhaps even times where we felt as if we were engulfed by a dark abyss. But we continue onwards, as tomorrow shall always come and the night will pass, giving you the opportunity to climb out of the abyss and fight for your dawn in whichever way you can. Octopath Traveler II echoes these sentiments throughout its entirety.
This shall (hopefully) be the first part a series of analyses of the 8 Travelers of Octopath Traveler II, as a way to express my love for the game, for its (upcoming) first anniversary.
This time, I shall analyse Ochette, the Hunter.
(Contains spoilers for all of Ochette’s Chapters)
Tumblr media
Your name is Ochette, and you are a hunter.
Your tale begins on the isle of Toto'haha alongside your fellow beastlings.
Despite your troubles with the human islanders, you live a carefree life. That is, until you learn of an encroaching calamity known as the Night of the Scarlet Moon.
“All right, Master Juvah. I'll do it. I'll find those Creatures of Legend and bring them back.”
Desperate to save your home, you set sail in search of those who can help…
Ochette’s journey is a coming-of-age story. It had begun on the day she had to choose her companion in order to start the next stage of her life – that of a Hunter, a Guardian of Toto’haha. Right at the start we are shown her immense compassion – after choosing one companion over the other, the other seemingly falls to despair, goes into a frenzy and then disappear… and after all of that, Ochette could only be heartbroken. Could there have truly been no way to save them that day? To still find a way to be friends? Even after 10 years this day haunts her, and she tries to shower her companion with as much love as she can „for both of them”.
Ten years later and Ochette has now grown – she is now a talented Hunter, looking after Toto’haha and its inhabitants. She adores her home – yet she also doesn’t feel like becoming the Guardian of Toto’haha. She wants a simple life – simply enjoying meals together with her loved ones is enough for her. This idea – that your dream can be just living a simple life with your loved ones and that it is also a lovely dream – is alluded to not only during the campfire in the Final Chapter, but in the stories of the other Travelers too, those being the ones who had experienced some of the worst the world had to offer to them – Hikari, Throné and even Osvald. In the end, the message carried here is that though it may seem trivial at first, a simple life, where you can live peacefully and enjoy meals with your friends and family, is a truly worthy thing to fight for.
Returning to Ochette growing to become a Guardian, though she is hesitant to the idea of becoming a guardian of her home, she still proves herself through her actions not only as a Guardian of Toto’haha, but a guardian of nature and life as well. No matter what, she stood her ground against whatever or whomever she faced. During her journey throughout Solistia, she’s heard of, witnessed and experienced many tragic and horrific events, yet she still pressed on to not only find the Creatures of Legend who could save her home, but help others out in need too.
Tera was harmed by the Dark Hunter, falling into slumber in order heal right after. Though Ochette had to give him a literal rude awakening, after the battle Tera shook off his drowsiness and quickly and eagerly joined Ochette’s cause to protect Toto’haha. Before this Ochette also managed to befriend a human, Pom, who was once saved by Tera. She ended up helping Pom, both with a favor and, especially after allying with Tera – inspiring him and his future.
Cateracta, despite being protected by humans, was outright murdered by the Dark Hunter due to being weakened after protecting Conning Creek from a great wave. In the end, before perishing, Cateracta left behind an egg to Alpione, the only human who survived the encounter with the Dark Hunter. Years went by and humans had greedily begun looting Cateracta’s corpse. Cateracta had protected the town for so long and alas, people forgot, leaving behind only weeping bones of a once mighty god of the ocean. And yet hope remained – Alpione guarded both Cateracta’s final resting place and the egg, and eventually Ochette and her companion arrived. Though their first encounter ended in Ochette’s beast companions knocking Alpione out, Ochette’s kind heart had won Alpione over in the end. And once Ochette embraced the lonely egg, it hatched right in front of her – a young Acta who wished to travel by Ochette’s side, who Ochette hopes to help grow, who could someday, perhaps, even fulfill the role Cateracta once had – a new symbol of hope for the seas and land.
Glacis’ fate was, alas, the opposite. Though Glacis survived, the egg of this legendary being did not. The Dark Hunter, alongside prideful humans, destroyed the egg during an attempt to hunt Glacis, destroying a fragment of Stormhail’s hope. Glacis was both heartbroken and enraged, and so was the hunter who lost their friends and family to Glacis, being the only survivor after that day. It became a cycle of hate with seemingly no end in sight. And so, someone had to find a way to break that cycle – this duty falling to Ochette. To stop the neverending snowstorm she once again extended her kindness to others, while also making sure to stay strong. Though they fought, she made sure to not only comfort Glacis’ broken heart (Legendary Creature or average traveler, everyone deserves love, hope and peace), but to help Glacis find a new resolve.
“You can’t get back what you lost. But it wasn’t the only thing that mattered to you.”
”I will never forget this sorrow… But you reminded me… that there is something else I must protect. […] Thank you, Ochette.”
“No, thank you, Glacis!”
After helping Glacis, Ochette then helped the surviving hunter, Heig, stand back up and move forward in his life too – telling him to leave behind spite and hate, and to also “respect life more. Both [his] own life, and the lives of others,” as she put it.
Finally we reach the end of her story, where she must confront the Darkling – the companion she didn’t choose that day, now a broken servant of the Shadow. She could feel how deep its pain and sorrow was, mourning what had happened to the poor animal after years of suffering and loneliness.
A bit earlier, through her and the beastlings’ kindness and determination they are able to prove the humans of Toto’haha wrong, and then work together in order to save their home from the Night of the Scarlet Moon, after which the humans and beastlings proceed to live peacefully together, forging a brighter future for all of Toto'haha.
Ochette proceeds to then receive the help of Tera and Glacis, aiding her in the fight against the otherworldly beings. She continues to rush forward.
This is where we get to see how much she’s grown over the course of her journey. In a desperate moment, she realized the reason she fights – she loves Toto’haha and those that live there, and wants to help in any way she can. And though she and her companion almost perish after being sent into the sea by the Darkling, the Sacred Flame itself acknowledges her warm heart and her deeds, saving them and lending them new strength, too. After returning to the surface, the two go back to fight the Darkling, and it seems that Ochette’s growth and kindness unlocked not only her companion’s potential, but little Acta’s as well, both of which assist her in the battle. In the distance, Ochette's teacher, Juvah, admires how strong her heart is, while the two Legends prepare to continue protecting Toto'haha once more.
But in the end, though there was a great struggle between them, she chooses to help the Darkling – to give it at least one last moment of peace and love. Ochette, after offering the Darkling the same Friendship Jerky she once gave to her companion all those years ago, proceeds to comfort it in its last moments.
“It’s alright. All the scary things are gone now. There, there. If you’re reborn into this world… let’s… eat something real tasty together.”
“...Good night.”
In the end, it is Ochette’s kindness that prevails, rather than brute force. Though a strong Hunter, her true strength lies in her earnestness and ability to extend her compassion to others. Her coming-of-age story ends with her deciding to become the Guardian of Toto’haha – she had seen so much of the world during her travels, both the good and the bad, and intends to use her experiences to guide her in protecting her home. She had grown into a great Hunter – the one who had gathered the Legends, a protector of life and the ‘dawn’ itself… and a wonderful friend.
“I love Toto’haha, and the people who call it home. […] And that means… I’m going to fight!”

The names of the two animal companions, Akalā and Mahina, are connected to the Hawaiian words for sun (lā) and moon (mahina). Sun and moon symbology is very heavy in Octopath II, connecting to the metaphor of „the dawn filled with light after a period of darkness”. The moon is also used in two different ways: as a source of light in the dark alongside the stars, and as an omen of the impending cold and darkness.
I feel like Ochette and Hikari parallel each other a bit. Both are pursuing someone specific to aid their homes from a disaster, and the greatest strength of both is their compassion rather than their battle prowess. I just find it interesting to think about, especially since Ochette’s O is the first letter and Hikari’s H is the last letter of OCTOPATH. Another parallel she has is to Castti though I'll leave that for Castti's analysis. Glacis' situation also seems to parallel Osvald's and, to an extent, Temenos' situations as well. Another possible parallel is Acta to Agnea – someone young who lost their parent yet remains a symbol of hope.
Ochette’s stained glass represents 4 things: the circle has a design representing the (Scarlet) Moon, while the rest of the design features Glacis’ wing, a wave representing Cateracta and finally - Tera’s domain (the earth) and/or possibly its head (it’s hard for me to make out the specific symbol for Tera).
Personal: Lost to her final boss a few times. On my successful attempt I somehow bypassed its final phase and thus never got to hear The Journey for Legends Ends in the game. I did, however, get the final blow with the beastling Hired Help so that was pretty neat.

OKAY Cassien (+ Aikarico) arc time!! Very long post and vague SotO spoilers below!
The dragon cycle is over. Somehow, beyond all hope, everything is okay. They're alive - him, Atlaki, and Aikarico. They survived, and for the first time in his life, Cassien sees a future for them - a peaceful future.
And then Atlaki grows distant. His love for Cas doesn't dim, but his presence does. He spends more time away from everyone, just him and his griffon out in the endless wilds. He'd always looked tired, but the light of determination that once shone in his eyes is gone. Suddenly, Cassien can't reach him like he used to. And he understands; Atlaki has endured more than is fair. But he thought that with everything over, they could start to build a life for themselves. But Atlaki just seems lost, adrift from Cas and nothing he tries seems to help.
And then. Atlaki goes missing. Last seen in Gendarran fields - a group of shady strangers - and a portal? That's all he knows. Cassien, too, runs off on his own to try and figure out what the hell has happened. He gets as far as figuring out what the Kryptis are before Aikarico tracks him down, demanding she not be left out (she cares about him. She can't say that.) Together, they find out more about the Kryptis - including Nayos. Unaware of the Astral Ward, they assume Atlaki has gone to Nayos, kidnapped by the demons, and track down a rift to follow in his footsteps.
It all goes very, very badly.
They're swarmed within minutes, and although the two of them take down a considerable number, they're forced to retreat. They barely escape back through the portal before it closes, unscathed by some miracle - or so it seems.
That night, after making camp, Aikarico wakes to a knife at her throat, the small sylvari's face obscured by a cloud of hate and glowing eyes. She deftly restrains him, and eventually the demon's claim on him fades into the background; not gone, but resting, a promise of its return hanging over the both of them.
Cassien is angry. It all comes to the surface; how abandoned he felt when Atlaki withdrew, how he thought they could finally have peace only for Atlaki to seemingly reject it, to become miserable in the absence of war and death. Things he didn't even realize he felt come rushing up, and he can't stop. He cries and cries through the night, occasionally thrashing and cursing as the demon regains control, only to subside to sobs again. Aikarico holds him through the sleepless night until dawn breaks, laughing off the demon's threats and - very awkwardly - comforting him through the worst of it.
They wake to a stranger approaching their camp. A charr, wearing a tall pointed hat and robes. He's holding a strange relic, one that seems to be drawn to Cassien. He knows the both of them, but doesn't to bother introducing himself by name - only stating he's a member of the "Astral Ward", and usually they wouldn't do this, but they were aware of Cas and Aika's brief foray into Nayos, and of the unwanted passenger Cassien picked up. Considering they're both Atlaki's closest allies - Cassien even holding the title of Commander himself - Isgarren deemed it appropriate to reach out to them and get them up to speed, as well as hopefully cure Cas of his affliction.
Seeing no other choice, they both agree and are taken to the Wizard's Tower, where Cassien is exorcised and the demon killed. Atlaki has recently left with Peitha for Nayos - Aikarico is given the option to go after him, once Isgarren has explained things further, but she chooses to stay with Cassien as he recovers from his possession. Once they do catch up with Atlaki, they're going to have a very big, emotional reunion and a lot of communication between them.

Dustin's a Damn Good Ally (Original) Pt. 6
Chapter 6— Scars and Black Sweatshirts

Summary: Dustin's turn! I've tagged him as queer only because I didn't want to ruin the surprise. When this is a series, his actual label will be in future fics. (fyi i had one in the words but as of now I'm using part of it for Monster Town S2E4 so...yeah)
(Queer author saying queer is used both positive and negative here)
———
Eddie was taken aback at how accepting Dustin was.
It was clear he didn’t care about sexualities, even if he was straight. That was metal as fuck in its own right, but even more interesting was how the kid seemed to have an innate sense of gaydar in him.
As good as if he was gay himself.
Either way, Eddie found himself having a movie night with Steve and his adopted siblings/children, fully able to kiss and hand-hold and love his boyfriend, without judgement from the other two in between them (aka the only reason Steve and Eddie weren’t cuddling: the redhead on Eddie’s right, next to the brunet on Steve’s left)
Eddie had found himself a family full of love, and for fuck’s sake, he was happy.
The movie in question was the Breakfast Club, something everyone found comforting and sweet, and hopefully not inducing nightmares from trauma Eddie wasn’t technically supposed to know about but forced all three to tell him after everyone had screaming nightmare after screaming nightmare.
Besides, Eddie thought it was similar to their dynamic: found family from all walks of life, not to mention is was secretly a personal favorite of his.
About an hour in, Dustin went to go get popcorn, but the movie was quickly stopped as Steve gently pushed him back down into his seat.
…ok?
Eddie looked up in confusion as Max and Steve put on determined looks, and Dustin’s confused face quickly turned into a panicked one.
Eddie pretended not to see (or be hurt by) the way Dustin's fearful eyes kept going back and forth, mostly directed at him.
"Max, you know where the sweatshirt is, yeah?" She nodded and ran upstairs, while Steve ran into the kitchen, Eddie mentally agreeing to follow behind.
"Steve, what’s going on? Is Dustin ok?" Steve gave a little huff, and started looking through cabinets.
"Babe, I love you, but it’s something Dustin needs to tell you. Not my place." Steve grinned as he spotted and swiped a large bottle of hydrogen peroxide. "Grab the paper towels on your way. C’mon." Eddie grabbed the roll, trailing behind like a lost puppy.
By now, Max had returned, and was helping a crying Dustin tie a black sweatshirt around his waist, and Eddie saw the dark red stain on the Harrington’s pristine couch.
Oh.
That made…so much sense.
Eddie remembered coming out to Wayne: the day after his middle school graduation, saying that he was Eddie, and that’s who he’d be in high school.
How scared he’d been that someone who he trusted and loved could turn on him so easily, just for saying who he was.
How kind Wayne had been, saying Eddie was his boy, and how tightly they hugged afterwards.
Now, the roles were reversed: Wayne’s job now his.
So, Eddie did the best thing he could, and tore off his shirt.
Well, he didn’t literally tear it off, but he threw it over his head so fast it was almost like tearing it.
Either way, it had exactly the effect intended, because the second Dustin caught sight of his bare chest, he gasped.
Under Eddie’s chest were two long, slightly mangled scars of the breast reduction surgery that had "gone too far."
News flash, it hadn’t.
And the scars that reminded Eddie of what had once been now brought one of his favorite kids joy, because Eddie was just like him.
"Eddie?" Eddie grinned and nodded, and Dustin just crashed into him, into a hug.
"I thought…I thought you’d hate me…being gay is one thing…" Eddie gently shushed him and pulled him in tighter.
"Don’t worry kiddo, I could never hate you for being trans. It’d be kinda hypocritical, no?" Dustin giggled in his arms. Eddie caught the wide grin from Steve and the approving smile—the equivalent to Steve’s wide grin—from Max, and he smiled warmly.
Max snatched the paper towels from his hand, making it clear his job today was comfort, as she and Steve got to work on the stain.
Eddie stayed shirtless the rest of the night, pretending not to see the little glances Dustin gave the scars as the movie continued.
———
And that's a wrap!
A few bits that may be integrated later, idk: - Dustin knows Steve's safe because he got his first period at Steve's house (spring '85) - Eddie gives Dustin a few of his own black sweatshirts after the fact - Dustin (plus Nancy and Lucas) can sew, and he makes his own binders out of sports bras
Special thanks to a few of my friends who beta read (aka I just read this aloud to you at some point), especially "the Dipper to my Mabel" (I don't think they have an ao3/tumblr acct) and @octopiys.
Please PLEASE read the new version. Yes, it may have the same plotline, but I've added a bunch of fun details that give the story more character.

Thanks for all the support last night, really glad to have so many allies to help me dispel this misinformation campaign.
Though please note the tactics employed by people like @snowcollector and @krispy-chicken-shipping as i've been informed that there are other victims of their harassments campaigns and there will likely be more in the future.
They engineer a false narrative to seem as inflammatory as possible to shock bystanders into taking immediate actions without doing proper research. They also dehumanize their victims; like calling me a man and a pedophile because it makes it easier to twist a narrative when the person being targeted isn't even human. And finally, they involve big named bystanders to further promote their false narrative, hoping that by using the prior two points they will not do their own independent research.
They want me isolated, weak, and alone so i will, as other far-right wackjobs would state: '41% myself'
Keep an eye out for these tactics in the future and try your best not to succumb to kneejerk reactions especially when it comes to queer or POC content creators.
i was very lucky that many artists were familiar with my name and willing to ask for my side of the story. There would be many smaller users who would not be as fortunate as to have my reputation and also my support network. i am fortunate to have people willing to bat for me but not everyone can have this same privilege.
With that being said my advice would be to block the two users and anyone who uses the banner of being an anti to justify these vile misinformation and harassments campaigns.
This will hopefully be my last post on the subject but... i highly doubt that these two will refrain from dropping their spaghetti in the near future.
If you are looking for more context please read my prior posts and also this post.

I finished my first BG3 playthrough last night after 210 hours with my redeemed Dark Urge spores druid Sorcha and I have so many emotions about it!
(spoilers for the ending)
the final battle was so good and I nearly cried seeing all the allies standing around in the main chamber right before. the emotional payoff for playing the Dark Urge, who masterminded this whole plan, to be reborn anew and save the world, was just incredible. we killed the Netherbrain in the last round with two companions dead-dead (Gale and Shadowheart), and Astarion, Sorcha, and Orpheus just wailing on it, hoping they don't die. got the brain down to 10 HP on the final turn, and a Potion of Speed is all we needed for Astarion to get in the final hit.
however, I was disappointed by all the bugs that happened at the very end. I had to click "skip" through Wyll and Karlach's cutscene in Avernus, because it wouldn't move forward without me doing that. then when my epilogue scene with Astarion started, first it was just a blue screen, none of the text was voiced, and I couldn't click the dialogue options it just said "continue." I reloaded, and it worked a little better, the lines were voiced but some got automatically skipped, but I also ended up in freecam mode, with... my summoned fire myrmidon still in the room with us, on top of my character. lol
I also never got a final conversation with Halsin, despite having romanced him too? I thought that's where the "daddy Halsin" dialogue comes from, but I never got it. is that dialogue only if you are exclusively dating Halsin?
I just wish there was a final celebration at the end after beating the game—which Gale even talks about in the dialogue on the docks!!!—where you can talk to all of your companions and allies one final time. also, you should be able to take ALL your companions into the final battle with you, it felt rude as hell just leaving them at the Elfsong and then not even seeing them when the rest of our allies were gathered. hopefully some of these bugs and things will be worked out and improved upon in future updates/whenever the Definitive Edition gets released.

Get Him Flowers
friends enemies and future lovers, i am back home and had a wonderful trip
anyways i wrote some fluff! for like the first time in years tbh are you proud
this is my prompt fill for day 3 of @flower-husbands-week: Flowers!
~
“You know, Scar got Grian flowers,” Scott says out of the blue one day. Jimmy pauses in his work—they’re rebuilding the wall, stone this time, which Scott says will prevent it from being burnt down and Jimmy thinks looks cooler anyway.
He dusts his hands off, frowns. “When was that?”
Scott shrugs. “Right after he turned Red, I think. Grian told me. Just showed up with a whole bouquet.” He picks up a stone brick, smiles. “Just thought it was interesting.”
And while that’s not exactly the strangest thing that Scott’s ever said, something about it feels like a hint. A hint that Jimmy really ought to be taking, if he just knew what it was.
He oughtn’t go to Grian and Scar about it—they were liable to tell Scott immediately, and Jimmy has a sense that this is something he’s meant to figure out himself.
He gets back to work for now, turning the strange comment over in his mind. What sort of use would he make of the information that Grian has flowers (probably dead ones, at this point) and that Scar gave them to him?
He puzzles over it on and off for hours. There's just no way that Scott told him for the fun of it. He wants Jimmy to do something, and Jimmy's not sure he'll ever have a clue as to what.
Even if he's meant to work this out, he can't, and he doesn't like disappointing Scott because it always makes him a little bit sad, which makes Jimmy sad as well, and then they're both sad and that usually ends in something being done wrong just out of carelessness and with Jimmy on Red, they can't afford a single misstep.
They finish the work on that section of the wall by the time the sun begins to set, and while it feels good to be able to stretch properly and view all the progress they’ve done, Jimmy can’t stop thinking about what Scott said.
It’s got to be a hint of some sort. He keeps note when Scott does these things, and after the week of prodding at the design of Jimmy’s base had hit his oblivious ears Scott had huffed and complained and then fixed it himself. He’d been short with Jimmy for the entire next day. He doesn’t want a repeat of that occasion.
He can’t go to Scar and Grian. That means there’s only one other real ally he can visit, and to be fair? Cleo’s more likely to know about this stuff than Scar is.
Jimmy sleeps that night beside Scott, lying in bed for a good hour after Scott kisses him goodnight and promptly falls asleep, stares at nothing as he plans out his day tomorrow. Make some excuse to go to the Crastle, figure out what Scott had meant, then maybe stop by the desert to check on the reputation board and get back in time for dinner, hopefully with an answer to his questions.
-
“Crastle folk! It is I, Jimmy of the Hobbits!”
Bdubs’s head pops over the edge of the Crastle. “Whaddya want?” he screams down. “I’m on Red, I can kill you if I want!”
Jimmy freezes, one hand shading his eyes as he squints up at Bdubs. “But—but you won’t, right?”
Bdubs shrugs. “Have you seen Cleo?”
That had been his question as well. Cleo tended to be the more reasonable of the two, and she’s more likely to be able to help Jimmy than Bdubs is.
“Look, can you come down?” Jimmy eventually calls. “It’s—the sun’s in my eyes, and this shouting is exhausting—”
Bdubs’s head disappears. A minute later, the drawbridge lowers and the man skips over, his sword in hand. “Hi, Jimmy!” he says brightly, completely at odds with his threatening stance. “How are you?”
“I’m good, I’m good! How’s the Crastle?”
“As huge as ever!”
“Great, now—” Jimmy glances around; still no Cleo. “See, I was coming over looking for Cleo, but if you’ve not seen her either—”
“No, she left hours ago,” confirms Bdubs. “Haven’t seen her since. Maybe I can help?”
“Oh, gosh, Bdubs, I just don’t know what to do!” Jimmy spills instantly, and he would’ve collapsed dramatically had there been anything to collapse onto. “Scott told me out of the blue that Scar gave Grian flowers, and when I asked why he was telling me he said it was just something he thought I ought to know! I don’t know why though or what he wants, so I was gonna see if Cleo had any clue.”
Bdubs nods seriously. “Oh, yeah. That’s an issue. No, I got nothing. Cleo should be back soon, wanna wait here?”
Jimmy agrees and the two of them shoot the breeze for a while, Bdubs’s sword ending up in the grass and Jimmy’s chestplate beside it. The urge to steal it is strong, but Jimmy’s pretty sure it’s more of an instinct to keep it away from Bdubs rather than attack him with it. He’s never quite felt the Red bloodlust that the others have described, preferring to stay back from skirmishes in order to protect Scott.
He resists, of course, and it’s only twenty minutes of chatting before Cleo comes over the hill. Jimmy feels immense relief—Bdubs’s fingers had been inching closer and closer to the sword hilt with every minute that passed, and he really didn’t want to fight the Crastle today.
“Cleo!” Bdubs yells, hopping up from his seat in the grass. “Cleo! Cleo! Hi!”
“Bdubs!” comes Cleo’s voice as she waves. “Hi, Bdubs! And . . . Jimmy?”
Jimmy salutes her.
“Why are you here?” Cleo asks once she’s close enough, walking right past them and into the Crastle. Jimmy takes it as an invitation in and follows Bdubs over the drawbridge. Cleo drops her satchel on a table inside, and Bdubs sits at said table while Jimmy hovers at the door. After a moment, Cleo shoots him a glare. “Well?”
And so Jimmy launches into an explanation of exactly what Scott said, what they were doing at the time, and why he thinks it was important. Bdubs adds entirely unhelpful comments throughout, but he manages to wrap it up in about twice the time it had taken him to explain it to Bdubs.
Cleo stares at him. Jimmy shrinks back a little bit. Is that a confused stare, or a why-am-I-dealing-with-this-idiot stare?
After a moment, she blinks and says, with utter despair and disdain, “Jimmy.”
Ah. So the second kind of stare, then.
Jimmy spreads his hands. “So . . . what do I do here? Please tell me what Scott wants, I’ll give you—” he searches his pockets, he’s got absolutely nothing— “a free pass to play Chick Chance?”
“I don’t want to play your stupid game, thank you.” Cleo still hasn’t moved, her mouth hanging slightly open, as if still unnerved by just how stupid Jimmy is. “I—” she rubs her face, grits out, “he wants you to get him flowers. Just go get him some flowers.”
She turns away, muttering something under her breath that sounds suspiciously disparaging.
It’s . . . it’s an odd request, isn’t it?
Bdubs is now nodding knowingly, but Jimmy’s just not sure. Scott doesn’t usually want anything like that. Usually, if Scott wants something like that, he’ll just go out and do it himself.
“There’s some flowers down by the abandoned village,” Bdubs suggests helpfully, opening the door for him. “Good luck!” He practically pushes Jimmy out of the Crastle, slams the door in his face. Jimmy stands there for a moment, still trying to work out why he has to do this, when the drawbridge starts raising. He barely makes it back over in time.
Well, Scott’s word is law, he supposes. Jimmy puts any doubts he has out of mind and hikes his backpack higher onto his shoulders before setting off for the village.
-
The sun is setting by the time he loops round to the desert, waving to Scar and his bumblebee up on Monopoly Mountain. Scar calls his name cheerily, and Grian emerges from within the house, waving in response. Both make their way down the mountain toward Jimmy, who waits patiently by the reputation board.
“Hello, Jimmy!” Scar greets, his bumblebee bouncing behind him. “What brings you to Monopoly Mountain?”
“Timmy, could you give Scott a couple of these blaze rods in exchange for some nether wart?” asks Grian, coming up behind Scar. “He was meant to come by earlier, but—” He stops mid-sentence at the bundle of wildflowers suddenly shoved under his nose. “I—what?”
Jimmy brandishes the flowers, some dirt shaking off their roots. “They’re for you! Happy—whatever the occasion is, I’m not sure.”
Grian frowns, glances at Scar, looks back at the flowers. “Tim, I—what’s this?”
Jimmy sighs, straightens his shoulders self-consciously. He hadn’t looked at the enderman on the way in, right? Probably not. The desert marks him uneasy, he really just wants to get home. “Scott just told me to get you flowers, all right? So here you go.”
Grian blinks, but moves to take them. “I—why? I don’t know—”
“I don’t know either,” Jimmy tells him, and as soon as the bouquet is out of his hands, he tugs his backpack up and heads out. “See you boys later!”
He’s sure that Scar and Grian are still watching him as he leaves, but Jimmy feels more relieved than anything. He’d done exactly what Scott wanted, and he hadn’t even needed too much help!
When Scott explains to him, later, tone vacillating between upset and hysterically amused, Jimmy blushes to the tips of his ears. That’s going to be an awkward conversation with Grian later.
But now, finally, Jimmy understands, and he picks a bouquet of poppies for his perfect husband—and as he gently pulls each one from the dirt, he holds the stems tight, transferring all the love in his heart to them.
Somehow, he thinks later, stretched out on his back in the field with Scott’s hand in his, Scott had received every ounce of love poured into the flowers clutched to his chest.

YESSS HELLO HI Thank you so much for sending in this ask! I love playing the fanfic ask games - and if anyone else wants to indulge me and play you can find the list here (and you will be my favorite person ever!!)
🍡 Which of your fics was the most emotionally difficult to write?
(Sometimes) was one of the hardest fics for me to write, it is the fic that I am most proud of, and I feel like I poured my heart and soul into it. However, the subject matter is very heavy, and therefore brought up a whole slew of emotions. It was difficult to write, but I'm really happy that I pushed through and finished it.
🍙 Is there a fic you wish had gotten more attention?
Man, not to sound needy or spoiled, but I really wish I Know the Sound had gotten more attention on AO3. It's part of the same universe as the A&E fic, and is the one where Fictional!Matty and Fictional!George get back together. I was really proud of it when I finished it (and still am) however, it wasn't as popular on AO3 as the other parts of the series. It is what it is though, and it just pushed me to work on my craft (wow that sounded pretentious sorry!) and hopefully create something better with future projects!
Thank you so much for sending in this ask! I love playing these games and chatting with people about fic and the boys on here! It's so much fun and makes me so ridiculously happy! I hope you're having a great rest of your night!
❤️Ally
