a/n: after a lot of procrastination and harassment gentle encouragement from @vhstown i’m finally posting my hcs. :3c (they’ve been sitting here since july)

Despite his tough guy exterior and criminal career, he's actually a massive nerd geek. Like: gundham, comics, posters all over his room.

Until you bring up those interests, he won't mention them. But once you start a conversation about them, he can tell you all the lore front to back or tell you where and when each collectible is from. Just listening to Wiles and nodding along will make his day.

Accepting help from others is not an option. Ever. He's an overly D.I.Y guy since his father's death and it's staying that way.

... unless you're very close to him. Wiles will begrudgingly accept your help and then be adamant on repaying you. No matter how trivial it was, he'll show his gratitude through service.

Wiles has great memory and knows all the lyrics to his favourite songs. Go through his playlist and pick something at random- he'll recite them flawlessly!

A good memory also helps with remembering those flashes of songs playing on your lock screen. Just a split second glance? He's adding it to his playlist, maybe listening to it as he works on his latest gear.

Would be a straight A student if he were there half the time. The only thing keeping his total grades down is attendance, where he’s often absent.

However, if he’s in a group project with you, Wiles will put more effort into it. Getting a ‘C’ or GPA point lower is fine if it means keeping Brooklyn safer. What’s not fine is him being the reason for your lower marks.

Unlike his counterpart from 1610, Wiles’ art is more realistic. He tries to capture the subjects’ essence quickly and minimally, so colours are an afterthought.

Accuracy was his pride in art until it came to you. He’d be so nervous in getting your smile right, scribbling failed attempts over and over again. Wiles even resorted to a pencil sketch.

Following the passing of Jefferson, Wiles has gotten much closer to Rio. That’s a no brainer; he was fourteen— a kid. And Jefferson never got to see his son in that overpriced Visions uniform.

Wiles makes an effort to speak more Spanish. He lets his mamí braid his hair even if it hurts like hell. Those stupid telenovelas aren’t that bad on the second watch.

Once upon a time, Wiles used to be a choir boy (keyword: used). He’d love singing hymns and doing nativities before he could read; all for his mamí and dad to see.

However, the christmas after Jefferson’s passing felt… empty. Wiles quickly lost his passion for choir and now just attends mass with Rio at most.

After years of experience being a choir boy, Wiles has the voice of an angel. Not that you’d know, of course— he intends to take that to the grave. But there’s also a deeper, darker secret… he can’t rap to save his life.

An extremely personal and harrowing Musically comment told him so. Following that attack, twelve year old Wiles abandoned his account with only a black profile picture left behind.

Like any other middle schooler, Wiles had a hype beast phase (he denies it). When Aaron got a Hype shirt for Wiles’ 12th birthday, words couldn’t describe how he almost knocked Aaron down with a hug.

The shirt’s first stain had Wiles distraught and furiously searching ‘remove paint on shirt hacks’ on Youtube. His heart would probably stop if he misplaced a gift from you.

Wiles isn’t the best cook, but he can definitely make himself a good meal. With Rio working night shifts and Uncle Aaron doing… jobs, he has to be self-sufficient.

A secret lil’ side project: he’s trying and failing to replicate Jefferson’s mac ‘n cheese. It wasn’t the best, but it was his. Something’s always off when Wiles makes it and he’s not quite sure what.

Sure, cooking isn’t that hard, but baking is like wizardry to Wiles. AP Chemistry and it’s endless calculations felt way easier than making pan de agua with his mamí.

But, mamí didn’t raise no quitter! On a particularly busy birthday, Wiles pulled together a modest little cake for Rio. She burst into tears seeing the shaky ‘!Feliz Cumple!’ written in too-sweet icing.

Calling Earth-42 a wreck is a massive understatement. Shit’s like Gotham, only very real and very deadly. Just breathing in that damn city air makes Wiles’ skin crawl.

Luckily, he’s got an outlet: boxing. A fun hobby he picked up from Uncle Aaron became his release. Wiles might never be in the ring, but Brooklyn’s more than enough.

Hi ! I have so many questions about your Aemond (I like him a lot).

We know he's a scholar, and probably a nerd, do you think he was a secret romantic when he was younger ? As in, reading love stories, dreaming of being a knight in shining armor for his love ? Maybe because he had some naive vision of love, but also maybe because he desperately needed to believe that someone out there would love him for who he is ? That, by being "just" Aemond, he would be worthy of love ?

Is Handmaid his first love ? Or did he fall in love before ? And, if yes, with who ?

Did his parents marriage influence his visions of relationship ? Like, because he saw how sad his mother was, or how his father didn't care for her, maybe he resented the idea of love or/and marriage and swear to himself he would never fall for any of the romance thing ? (I know it's quite the opposite from 1, but I think one can dream of love while being heartbroken knowing/thinking it's just an illusion)

Hello my love <333 I love my Aemond a lot too, he's just an absolute joy to write and talk about.

Perhaps Aemond turned to sappy and lovesick fairytales to cope with his environment and the constant teasing/bullying he endured. Obviously, the loss of his eye changes that, as he feels too scarred and ugly for any highborn lady's love and affection. But I think a piece deep down inside him still yearns for pure and true love. A boyish innocence that hangs on like a lil parasite.

Handmaid is his first love, yes! His first and only love because Aemond is a loyal and devoted mf.

I feel that both his parents' and siblings’ marriages heavily influenced his own perspective on relationships and love and his own future wedding, but not in the sense that he dreads falling in love. Aemond is no fool; he knows little to no love is shared between his parents. It is completely obvious. But in the SFW headcanons I posted last week, I also discussed how memories of Helaena’s first pregnancy are an encouragement to be a good and involved father to his and handmaid’s children. Aemond uses his father and Aegon as a “what not to do” to his handmaid.

As a demisexual myself, I wholeheartedly believe that Aemond is demi too. Like absolutely NO doubt about it. I imagine his exposure to sexual abuse on his thirteenth birthday is the key reason he no longer feels any sexual attraction (or craves intimacy) unless there is a strong bond filled with love, comfort, and security. And handmaid gives him AALLLLL that. She eventually becomes his anchor, happiness, and safe space- his best friend and confidant. They’re not just lovers. Her soft touches and kind words touch him like nothing ever has before. Sappy, sure, but Aemond deserves it.

(I picture him during the first few months of her as his handmaid, he just stares at her. Absolutely taken, falling head over heels in love. When she fixes his beloved eyepatch, it’s a sign to Aemond that, “Yup, she’s the one.”)

What are the children’s names? Honestly, I don’t know! I haven’t gotten around to naming them, although a sweet anon sent me possible baby names (Helaenys, Alyce, and Alyssa, which I totally love), but I’m always open to more suggestions from y’all! I mentioned that Aemond wishes to name his daughter after handmaid’s mother, Alys, so their baby girl’s name might be either Alyssa or Alysanne.

Do you have any headcanons for George (in any of the timelines)?

Hello! Sorry for the delayed response. I'm going to stick with George in the "improved" timeline (post-parking lot punch) because I like imagining all the ways he became a better version of himself after Marty's intervention.

• For a while, George is still kind of shy and awkward and unsure of himself. He knows he's just unlocked some kind of hidden potential and strength within himself, but he isn't really sure what to do with it. Lorraine helps a lot in those following months, encouraging him to keep coming out of his shell.

• George learns A LOT about how two-faced people can be and who he can trust in the aftermath of the Biff Punch. People who used to bully him incessantly all of a sudden want to be his buddy and act like they always thought he was cool. Thankfully, he sees through that. And many of his classmates who were kind to him even when others considered him a loser, continue to be kind, and he gains many new friends.

• George holds his head up a little higher whenever he passes Biff in the halls. Biff actively avoids any eye contact with him.

• Soon after George and Lorraine start officially dating, he allows her to take a look at some of his writing. She's the first person to ever read his stuff, and he sits there anxiously watching her face as she does it. Lorraine loves getting a peek into George's creative inner-world, and her approval gives him an even bigger boost in his abilities. She quickly becomes a trusted confidant for his ongoing ideas.

• Oh! Also, George is definitely the type to leave sweet, heartfelt notes for Lorraine. Expressing his feelings through writing is still the easiest route for him for a while, so he utilizes his talents as a way to let her know how much he cares. He slips notes into her backpack or locker when they're at school, and once they're married, he leaves them all over the house for her. It's an ongoing thing that endures even after he's able to comfortably verbally express his feelings.

[Side note: This is one of post-trilogy Marty's favorite things about his parents. Dave and Linda tend to roll their eyes whenever they catch George placing a note somewhere or see Lorraine smiling as she reads one, but Marty can't even feign annoyance or embarrassment like his siblings. The warm, fuzzy feelings simply overtake him at witnessing the little tradition, especially considering all his memories of his miserable parents in the original timeline. The kid can't help it; he loves seeing his mom and dad in love.]

• George is a very involved father. He guides, teaches--and is even stern at times--and he loves his kids and is so invested in raising them to be well-adjusted and confident. And, obviously, he tells the best bedtime stories. He absolutely crafts individual, personalized stories for each of his children and puts it in a little book for them.

• I have a very solidly planted headcanon that George and Doc are good friends in the Lone Pine Timeline. They share a lot of interests and can talk for hours about science, complex theories, and other nerd stuff (George goes to Doc for questions relating to more technical aspects of his science-fiction plots). The two bounce off of each other well, and nobody else can keep up with their conversations when they get going.

- Trey Clover: Talks of food and dental hygiene on the off chance, but they don’t talk much outside of that.

- Leona Kingscholar: “Hate this man! He’s a girlfailure, a attemting girl boss, and a master girlmanipulator!” - Yu Bayani. Absolutely despises the apathetic and lazy man, but also likes talking with him and debating with him. Oddly can make both him and Malleus agree to stay in the same room without someone loosing their life!? Crazy!

Backstory:

Yu doesn’t talk much about himself, thinking the past less important than the present, but he does, from time to time, with people who are close to him, divulge his past to them.

A child to a multiracial, multicultural family, he was made aware of the stark differences between both his parents, yet, they still supported and loved each other with all their hearts. Yu took after his father a little bit more, with the tendencies of his mother; stern and overachieving. He learned both Japanese and Tagalog at an early age, sent to immersion school for Japanese and Tagalog and having to speak both at home.

Homeschooled for the majority of his life till high school, he had to learn English and other subjects, learning from his retired grandma who lived with them on the weekdays. She was also the person to get him into art, starting by encouraging him to draw and paint to his heart’s content.

During high school, he was the awkward, shy nerd that people bullied, and was usually mocked for being weird, but he ignored them, in favor of talking to the teachers. This was when he learned from one of his teachers about the Theatre Program at their school. They handed him a flyer and basically told him to come watch their show.

He agreed to come, and when he sat down on his seat, he was immediately awestruck at the acting and performances given from the actors on stage. He joined and worked diligently to become an top-notch actor.

Play after play, he rose through seniority quickly, becoming a valued member of the team, but some students wanted him out of the plays entirely, so, they hatched a plan.

One of the spoiled rich kids had invited most of their family and apparently a few guests into their production, no matter how hard that was to believe. After, they deliberately sabotaged and booby trapped the stage to make Yu look bad, and at the start of the play. After, they silently changed the fliers they gave out to instead show a comedic show instead of a drama. These compiling issues had spelled the end of Yu.

He made a fool of himself on that stage, laughed at and mocked by the people he so desperately wanted to impress show off too. And not soon after his mistake of a play was circulated throughout school, and the bullying became much worse. He wanted to confront the rich girl and her friends but felt ultimately helpless and gave up on trying to defend himself.

Senior year, he left the play and isolated himself from everyone, graduating and moving out of California to Japan to study, vowing to work only and nothing else.

Oh how life turned out after…

An AU where Hisashi (AFO) stole Katsuki’s quirk before its manifestation. Then he offers it to him when Izuku is accepted in the Hero Course in exchange for a ‘small favor’.

Katsuki and Izuku grew up quirkless together, and as a result their friendship never faltered. They are as close as brothers. Which is to say, they argue constantly but still love each other.

At Aldera, Katsuki got into so many fights that he was expelled. He switched to a better middle school and Izuku followed him. At their new middle school, they had to deal with some subtle insults but no violent bulling. Izuku is much more confident as a result. Katsuki is even pricklier (if that's possible) but he has way more sympathy for underdogs. Both of them still want to become heroes.

When Hisashi offered to give Katsuki a quirk and asked him to watch Izuku in return, Katsuki accepted without hesitation. He trusted his "Uncle Hisashi" and had no problem being asked to look after the nerd.

Katsuki mistakenly assumes that Izuku got his new quirk (OFA) from his father.

You might assume that Hisashi has a better opinion of Katsuki in this AU because the bullying never happened, and you’d be right...sort of. Hisashi doesn’t have a grudge against Katsuki, but there’s still a fundamental personality conflict. Hisashi finds Katsuki annoying. Also, Hisashi blames Katsuki for encouraging Izuku to become a hero. As Katsuki grows older he keeps looking more like the Second, and Hisashi is holding a ridiculously petty grudge for that reason. (This resemblance might be why Hisashi stole Katsuki’s quirk to begin with.) However, Hisashi is polite to Katsuki because it would make Izuku sad if his only friend stopping coming over to his house. As a result, Katsuki has no idea that his friend’s dad doesn’t like him.

Katsuki kept providing AFO with information without realizing that he was a spy, until the Summer Camp. Izuku got kidnapped instead of Katsuki. Then Katsuki put the puzzle pieces together, and he was furious...and horrified at what he'd done.

At first, Katsuki thinks that he should reveal everything to Nezu. But Katsuki can't think of any way to explain his story without also revealing that AFO is Izuku's father. He doesn't want to backstab his friend like that. In the end, Katsuki gathers his classmates and goes to rescue Izuku with them.

Y/n strolled through the school halls as she got many whistles and winks from the boys. 

Y/n L/n. Daughter of the principle, rich, and the prettiest girl in school. Most girls were her friends here, but not the nerds or the ones who hated Y/n because they were jealous of her. I guess you could say she was that one annoyingly popular girl, except she wasn’t exactly a bully. She was really kind, which drew many people to her. 

Her only problem was the hundreds of fuck boys who wanted her, and the girls who bullied her because of how popular she was with the boys. She tried not to let it get her down. Besides, nobody was as fortunate as her.

There was this one boy though. Yoon Jeonghan. He was a lot like her. Rich, popular, hot, but kind. He managed to find the perfect balance between being a bad boy, but not being like the rest of the boys in school. Y/n didn’t want to admit it, but she had the biggest crush on him and stared at him from distances. The two had met and were considered friends, but they weren’t that close. The only one who suspected her of this crush was her friend, Lihyul.

”Omg look who it is,” Lihyul nudged Y/n as she pointed to Jeonghan, who was getting all sweaty while practicing basketball. “Your future boyfriend.”

”Shut up Li,” Y/n rolled her eyes. “As if he’d ever even date me.”

”Are you shitting me? You are the prettiest, hottest girl in school, maybe even in the whole city of Seoul!” she encouraged. “Not to mention, a heart like gold. I bet he likes you, but he’s too afraid to say anything.”

”Yeah well, if that was the case, my dad hates him so,” Y/n sighed.

“Last time I heard, you didn’t give a fuck about your dad’s rules. He may be the principle of this school, but he’s not in control of your life,” Lihyul stated. “Just go tell him how you feel! The worst that could happen is you get rejected and embarrass yourself in front of his whole team who are also all really hot.” 

“You’re a terrible motivational speaker, you know that?”

Lihyul shrugged.

Y/n sighed heavily and glanced to the blonde boy. “I’ll do it. After lunch.”

”Eeheehee! I’m holding you to that!” Lihyul clapped her hands and side hugged her best friend.

Y/n trembled slightly as she finished up her lunch.

”You promised. You have to,” Minhwa, her other friend pleaded. 

“I know I know,” Y/n replied, gulping down before she quietly walked over to where Jeonghan was staring out of the window.

She took a deep breath and glanced back to her friends who both gave her a thumbs up. 

“You got this,” Lihyul mouthed.

She sighed again and turned to the boy in front of her. She hesitated slightly before tapping his shoulder. He turned around and Y/n still couldn’t believe how hot he was.

”Oh hey Y/n,” he smiled, making Y/n blush.

”Hey um, I just wanted to tell you that-

“Y/n?” a familiar voice sounded from behind her.

She turned around to meet the angry eyes of her father. She wished she could’ve disappeared at that moment. 

“You know I don’t want you near this boy. Come, I’m taking you home early,” he ushered.

She was about to follow him when Jeonghan gently grabbed her wrist.

”No, you’re not taking her home,” he protested.

”What did you just say Yoon?” Mr. L/n asked, surprised at his rebellious tone. 

“I said no!” Jeonghan yelled slightly, and laughed a little afterwards. “Everyone in this school knows how you treat your daughter Principle L/n. She can’t have any fun when you’re around. You control every single thing she does! You don’t let her near boys, especially me, you make sure she takes no longer than three minutes in the bathroom, and you don’t let her go to parties! I know you’re trying to protect her sir, but-

“You don’t tell me how to parent my child! I know what will happen if I let her party with someone like you. You would corrupt her,” he growled.

”Appa, he’s nothing like that!” Y/n spoke up. “He’s the kindest person I know! That’s why I like him!” Y/n blurted out, covering her mouth after she realized what she had said.

”You like him?!” he exclaimed.

”Yes! And I’m allowed to like whoever I want! He’s right, you can’t control me Appa! I’m eighteen!”

”You’re my daughter!”

”But I’m my own person. I’m not an item, I’m a human being. And I never told you, but I’m tired of being treated this way! I just want to live, like everyone else. That’s all I’ve ever wanted,” she laid everything out, tears brimming in her eyes. “I want to have more friends. I want to go to parties. I want to have fun. I want to have a boyfriend…”

Jeonghan felt a twist in his gut seeing her begin to cry. He pulled her closer and embraced her. He felt a rush of blood to his cheeks after hearing his crush confess to him, and he felt a need to protect her by pulling her close, not knowing what her father would do. 

“Y/n, you’re coming. Come on,” he grabbed her wrist and attempted to pull her away from Jeonghan.

”Appa please,” she begged, in pain from how hard his grip was. 

Jeonghan didn't let her go, and even pulled her away from her father.

”Leave her be Mr. L/n!” he growled. Y/n would be lying if she said it wasn’t hot. 

“Step away from my daughter Yoon, or you’re expelled from this school!” he threatened.

”Okay, expel me then,” he said, pulling Y/n far enough from Mr. L/n for him to let go. 

“If you expel him, expel me too,” Y/n said. 

Mr. L/n stood in awe at their attitude. 

“Fine! You’re both expelled! And don’t expect to be welcomed with open arms when you come back home,” he stormed off.

Y/n was relieved, but also pained. Her father never really loved her. He just loved controlling her life. She figured her father was right when he said Y/n was a mistake. Her mother was the only one who really cared for her. 

“Are you okay?” Jeonghan asked, pulling away to look into her eyes. He then ran his hands along the arm Mr. L/n gripped harshly. “Did he hurt you?”

”Its just a bruise,” she laughed slightly. “I’ll be fine.”

”I’m so sorry you have to go through this. Nobody deserves it,” he frowned.

”I know, it’s okay. Thanks for standing up for me,” Y/n said, straight from her heart. 

“Of course. Anything for you,” he smiled warmly. “Can I ask you something?”

”Yeah,” she replied with a shrug of her shoulders.

“Did you mean all of those things you said to your father? About, you know, liking me?” he asked, slightly embarrassed.

”Oh… yeah,” she looked down and smiled, tucking a strand of hair behind her ear. 

“Well, I was planning on telling you the same thing today,” he admitted.

”You were?”

”Mhmm,” he laughed. “Y/n you have a heart of gold and a smile like the sun, who wouldn’t like you? Not to mention, you’re the hottest girl in school, but you know that,” he blushed. “I really, really like you. I know we’re barely friends, but I’m drawn to you in a special way, like I’ve never been drawn to anyone before. Would you be my girlfriend?”

Y/n subconsciously let her jaw drop and a bright smile to make its way to her lips. “Of course!” she threw herself at him, and he returned the hug. 

Y/n, caught in the moment, pulled away and jumped to peck his cheek. She immediately regretted it, but was pleasantly surprised when Jeonghan giggled and kissed her nose in return. 

“You’re cute,” he smiled down at her.

~~Five Months Later~~

It’s been the best five months of Jeonghan and Y/n’s lives. Y/n never realized how much she struggled with self love until she dated Jeonghan. She always cursed herself in the mirror and starved herself. And on other days, she would eat until she felt sick because she thought she was too skinny. But Jeonghan showed her how perfect she was, inside and out. 

Y/n sighed as she looked at herself in the mirror. She thought she was a bit skinny. She had this unhealthy back and forth of “I need to gain weight” and “I should eat less”. 

“I need to gain,” she whispered to herself.

”Baby I’m back!” Jeonghan shouted downstairs from their shared home. 

She immediately put her sweatshirt back on and ran downstairs to hug her boyfriend.

”Have you been eating lately? I don’t want you to starve yourself,” he frowned, stroking her hair.

”That’s the problem Hannie, I need to eat,” she said, glancing down at herself.

”You do need to eat for nutrients and survival, not to gain weight. You’re perfect the way you are,” he said, kissing her neck before pulling away to kiss her lips sweetly. “I love you.”

”I know,” she smirked, before walking away.

Jeonghan looked offended and sad as she walked away. “Hey! Say it back!”

”Make me,” she laughed.

”You asked for it,” he smirked evilly before running to tackle her with tickles.

”Ahhh Hannie no!” she pleaded. “I love you! I love you! Just stop please,” she tried to sound angry, but couldn’t help her laughter. 

“Haha. I love you too Princess.”

Tweeted this thought, then I had to elaborate so.

So a modern Au where Billy, Steve, and Eddie all meet in rehab. One has a drug addiction, one has a sex addiction, and one has an adrenaline addiction.

And honestly I think any of the addictions would work for any of them . It would be fun to play around and switch them up.

But if I had to specify I'd probly give Billy the sex addiction. He was raised in a house where touch was probly equated with pain from his father's abuse, so when he finally began having sex he was able to get the affection and physical touch he always longed for through sex. He became obsessed with it, charming anyone who would have him. It gets him into trouble when he dad finds him with another boy and again later when he sleeps with a friends mother. Over and over he keeps screwing up relationships because of it, and he just gets more irresponsible every time. He looses his job after getting caught with his boss, prompting Max to kick him off her couch and into rehab.

And Eddie I'd probly go with the drug addiction because he sells the stuff. He has the contacts, the easy access and he doesn't dip into his own supply until he fails high school for the third time after being accused of murder. Afterwards he just drops out, lives out of his van and heads to the city to lose himself a bit. At first its fine, he parties, plays music, finds local nerd clubs for d&d. Then he starts partying a little too hard, blacking out, not remembering what he took or how he got places. He gets wrapped up in drugs, wasting away more and more, letting his passion for music and fantasy get swallowed up into non-existence. Wayne finds him eventually, high out of his mind in a drug den and sets him up in rehab.

And then poor Steve. He grew up with absent parents who provided money and status over affection and love. And then he dates Nancy and he gets a taste of love and family with all these little kids who now adore him and lovingly call him their babysitter and even after they break up the kids still stay in his life. He finds himself protecting them from bullies, a pack of rabid dogs, and a weird satanic panic cult even. He feels important doing it, like its his true calling and when the danger passes he feels empty and useless. He doesn't want the kids in harms way at all, but he still craves that rush when danger nips at his heels so he starts seeking it out. Walking down dark alleys, driving too fast, running his mouth until someone throws a punch, jumping off the lower quarry cliffs into the water. Robin watches him come closer and closer to finding a danger that will put him 6 feet under so she pleads with him to go to rehab until he goes.

I imagine they would all meet with a lot of animosity, no one wants to be there. I think at first they would all be extremely toxic, encouraging depravity and endulgence within their addictions, even using each other to satisfy those addictions.

They become friends, even without intending to. They realize they are hurting each other by enabling the addictions. Over time things change. Rehab is taken more seriously, they all try to make an effort, be better. Its brutal and hard and full of slip ups but it's easier with friends who can distract from the drugs, or talk down from breakdowns, or just give a hug to feel better when they are craving affection or a fight.

They get better, and tentatively take steps to deepen their relationship into romance after they all get out.

thinking out loud here, but i'm still not over just how much will has been able to grow into himself even despite all of the outside forces in his life trying to prevent that.

in a pre-season one flashback, we see will wanting to go to a baseball game with lonnie even if he doesn't actually like the sport, because he wants to spend time with his father. he's hesitant to say anything negative about lonnie trying to force him to like "normal" boyish things and doesn't stick up for his own interests. jonathan then encourages him to like what he likes regardless of what anyone thinks and tells him that he especially shouldn't be listening to lonnie who we know has abused will for being gay. it ends with will saying that he genuinely does like the clash, being given jonathan's mixtape, and happily headbanging along to the beat. it's a step in the right direction and i feel that it, and the way that will is so unapologetically will and thus surrounds himself with all that he loves, proves that his brother's support worked. will knows that he can like what he likes, that he doesn't have to conform to other people's beliefs of what he "should" like, and that there are people who will support him and his interests.

in season two, we see that will is struggling now with the last part of this ordeal: other people's lack of support in him and his interests. will continues to be a nerdy artsy little dweeb, but he's struggling with feeling like an outcast. it's worse now because of the whole upside down stuff: now, instead of just being a fairy or a nerd, he's mostly zombie boy. at school he continues to get bullied and his friends and family's support has changed. instead of being comforting, it's now smothering. they treat him like a baby, like he could shatter at any moment, and that makes him feel like a freak. that's what upsets him. he doesn't want to change himself, he wants to change how people view and treat him. he doesn't resent who or what he is, he resents how others treat him as a result of it. it isn't "why am i this way?" it's "why do you all have to treat me like that? why must you make me feel bad for something that isn't bad? why don't you believe in me or see me?" and it's that treatment which leads him to calling himself a freak--something we haven't seen or heard him do before, and this is because now he feels like he has no one (except for mike) that sees him for who he was and still is. and again, jonathan offers will support. he reassures will that he isn't anything Bad, that he's cool and his Otherness is what makes him even better and cooler. that conforming is bad, because when did anyone "normal" ever accomplish anything? he manages to somehow find a silver lining in will's feelings of being excluded/other / changes his perspective on it and makes him feel better. he also then takes what will said to heart by giving him more space to be independent and letting him go trick or treating on his own; aka, he quits treating will differently and treats him as he would treat anyone else, which means the world to will because that's what he wants: equal treatment. it isn't his otherness that makes him feel like a freak, but the way that people treat him that does.

in season three, will is undeterred in his efforts to get the party to play games like they used to. he trudges on even when they keep saying no and sets up his game anyway. he dresses up for it, plays music for it, and really throws himself into being the dm, trying his best to immerse them all in this and have fun for once without caring to be "cool" or "grown up". will is treated as being childish for this, but he's really not. he doesn't give a fuck about being cool or what he should or shouldn't be doing at his age, as if games have an age limit and you're supposed to suddenly drop all of your interests for more boring things when you become a teenager. he continues to be himself unapologetically until his best friends make a joke out of him and his efforts. at the end of the season we see will donate his dnd books, but he isn't throwing this away forever or ashamed of it. he just has no intention of joining another party and so he won't need them in the meantime and wants to give them to someone who'll actually use them. he even tells mike as much by saying he'll just borrow his stuff if they still want to play. we're reminded of how he hasn't given up on dnd in season four, too, which shows him painting their party and telling mike about them playing games for the rest of their lives (something that mike tried to use against him in their fight, which again... will didn’t shrink away from. he said yes, yes i do want that, and left mike to sit in his shame for it). he hasn't given up on his interests, he's just done trying to beg them to partake in them with him.

and thennnn in season four we undoubtedly see will being even more open and more himself, even if it presents differently than we've seen it before. he picks alan turing for his hero presentation that he has to give in front of the entire class. he spends so much time on a secret "for his crush bc he's been acting weird" painting that's for mike and literally puts a cute heart on his shield lol. he's been acting weird and different to the point where el picks up on it and thinks he has a crush and so does jonathan when he actually spends sober time with him later on. this is the first time that anyone has clocked will on screen, which means he's been acting differently/more openly than he has before and it's obvious to those that observe him and know him. he clearly wants to tell mike about his feelings, but is too scared and doesn't want to hurt him or his sister. (and this was told to us by the duffers.) he's dropping domers on mike time after time in each and every heart to heart, many of which are secretly alluding to his sexuality or his feelings for him. he sings neverending story without caring. he tells mike they could all commit fraud in vegas so that they never have to work and could just play games for the rest of their lives. he literally confesses his love for mike and pours his heart out while gifting him the painting but then slaps el's name on it because he needs to get it out but doesn't want to hurt his friendship with mike. and then when jonathan confronts him in the kitchen he tells will what he's always told him year after year: that he will always be there, will always support him, will always love him, and that there isn't and never has been anything about will that could change his love for him. and will knows what jonathan is talking about here. it's no longer about sports or being babied. he knows that jonathan is talking about his feelings for mike/his sexuality. and he doesn't shy away from it or deny it. he accepts jonathan's love and says he'll always be there for him, too. he lets jonathan see him and the relief of that fucking breaks him because for once he has someone to help shoulder the burden of keeping it a secret, even if just for a moment.

like... i just don't have the words to describe how much i love will. will, who could very easily internalize the hate that people have had for him his entire life, but doesn't. will, who could very easily believe that his otherness, whether it be trauma or sexuality related, is something that makes him Bad, but doesn't. instead he feels better for it when he's with those that know and love him, who don't treat him any differently than anyone else. will, who is strengthened by love. will, who has been hurt and refuses to hurt others. will, who has been through so much more than he ever deserved, but has come out stronger because of it.

i just... i love him! so much! so, so, so much! his story is heartbreaking, but so inspiring, too, and it'll continue to turn around next season when he sees that he's surrounded by people who love him more than anything and don't think any differently of him for any reason, no matter what; when he realizes and truly believes that he is and always has been their equal, and that there's nothing that could ever change that.

— Laurie was born at 5:55pm on 24th August 1971 in Daytona Beach, FL, to Mitchell and Nancy Morganthal. He is their only child.

— As a young boy, Laurie spent many a day at the beach. He mainly went with his friends under the supervision of their parents and spent hours digging trenches in the sand and snorkelling in the sea. He always finds the beach relaxing and, as an adult, wishes he would go more often.

— Laurie grew up wanting to be a pilot like this father. For Halloween he would dress up as a captain and would get his father’s name tag to pin to the jacket. Despite idolising his father, Mitch was away for work for a lot of the time and Laurie’s mother grew paranoid. She began to think he was purposely staying away and having affairs. He always seemed to be making excuses and disappointed both Nancy and Laurie. He missed birthdays and anniversaries and didn’t seem to care very much. Laurie always felt conflicted: Mitch was his father but he was an absent father and figuring out how to feel about the situation was more confusing than anything else.

— Nancy would take out her anger and frustration about Mitch on Laurie. He endured shouting, screaming, and sobbing, and very rarely suffered physical abuse, but when he did he would hide under his bed sheets or in his wardrobe. He would often sneak around the house just so his mother didn’t see him and accidentally trigger a response in her. He never had any lasting physical scars, but the emotional ones were there for life.

— It was during this period of turmoil when Laurie found an escape in books. Thanks to his teacher at school, he was encouraged to read more and instead of spending time with other children he was tucked away in a corner somewhere with a book. He quickly went from falling behind in class to being the student with the highest grades in reading and writing.

— He was bullied for being a ‘nerd’ amongst other things and, against his nature, Laurie punched an older boy in the nose when he stole Laurie’s favourite book from him. Nobody physically messed with him again, but he was still called names and teased until he was 12.

— As he got older, Laurie’s relationship with his mother began to fail. She was drinking a lot, lost her job at a law firm, and was between shifts at local beachside restaurants and bars. At night, Laurie had to put himself to bed when his mother went out to work and had to cook his own meals (eventually being helped by a neighbour who took pity on both him and Nancy and volunteered to assist them).

— Nancy had every right to be paranoid, however, because Mitch was having affairs. She threw his stuff out for him to collect and changed the locks on the doors. He tried to apologise and make up for his so-called mistakes, but Nancy put her foot down. She stopped Mitch from seeing Laurie and kicked him out of their lives for good.

— When he was 9, Laurie’s parents divorced. Despite what she had said about Mitch in anger and hatred and in gratitude for getting rid of him, Nancy was always an emotional wreck. She often cried when she thought Laurie was asleep and would stay in bed most days. Laurie himself, when he wasn’t at school, took care of his mother in the best way he could as neither of them had any other family.

— Laurie didn’t see his father again until his 16th birthday. Mitch showed up to the house uninvited, but because Laurie wanted him there Nancy couldn’t object. Mitch’s gift to his son was the promise of a college education; he had set aside money to be used in another two years for Laurie to go to whatever university he wanted. They both knew by then that Laurie was no longer pursuing his childhood dream of being a pilot and Laurie told his father about his passion for literature. Mitch was supportive and was thrilled that Laurie wanted to go to NYU. Their relationship never fully healed from the strain it took when Laurie was a child, but the two were civil and Mitch never saw Nancy unless absolutely necessary.

— Laurie found popularity at NYU when he started his English Literature degree. He lived in halls of residence and gained many friends from across all different courses, but mainly in English courses. After promising himself not to drink after what happened with his mother, he was peer pressured into partying and consuming alcohol. He never became a heavy drinker, but sometimes found it difficult to stop drinking once he started, but this was usually only the case when he was particularly stressed or angry. He also went out with his first girlfriend during his first year.

— Following his graduation and after struggling to find a job for months (after taking shifts at a diner to earn money) Laurie landed an opportunity at a small publishing house in the city. He started from the bottom, essentially doing the mundane tasks before being being given a chance to do ‘real’ work. The senior members at this company trained him and taught him all the tricks of the trade and set him up for life. Today, that particular company no longer exists as it went bankrupt, but Laurie himself employs several of his old colleagues in his own successful company out of gratitude.

— Laurie lived with an old roommate at the time, which made it slightly easier to pay rent, and through that friend at a Christmas party he met his eventual wife, Emmy, who was starting out in her career as a cardiologist. They were mad for each other; they dated for two years and were engaged for a little over a year before getting married and taking their honeymoon in Italy.

— Emmy wanted a children and also to move closer to her parents in Austin, TX, but Laurie’s mind was fixated on his work. He was rarely out of the office and even when he was he was cooped up in his study at home. Their relationship broke quickly; Laurie and Emmy were always bickering and began to resent each other. Not two years into their marriage, they were divorced and Emmy returned to Texas. It wasn’t until months later that Laurie felt regret for what happened: he had a beautiful, talented, wonderful wife and he let that go without even realising how much of a mistake he made. ☂️ In this AU, everything is pretty much moved up one generation! Ronald, as a young boy, carpooled with his father, Willy (@emotionally-detached-warlock​) his friends Glenn, Henry, and Darryl, and their fathers Bill, Barry, and Frank. (They’re all alive and well here! I mean, they have their problems, like Barry having his own deal going back to the place he escaped so long ago...but still!) On the way to their soccer tournament, the kids are kidnapped by their grandparents. (Bill & Barry’s fathers don’t have names, but Ron’s granddad is named Carl!)

Everything goes the same, except it follows the dads (Willy, Bill, Barry, and Frank)’s journey to save their lost sons in the forgotten realm! Their arcs follow similarly to their sons; for example, Willy’s arc is the same as Canon!Ron’s and Barry’s is the same as Canon!Henry’s.

Ronald’s arc is similar to TJ’s because he ended up in Castle Ravenloft, but he is rescued last. When the dads reach the finale of their journey, Ronald ends up killing Carl and gaining a large amount of magic. He uses this magic to aid the fathers in the final fight, and becomes Willy’s warlock.

Currently, he is a perfectly normal guy! He works in the San Dimas Library as a children’s librarian to gain [REDACTED] magic from his relationship to the community. :)

• Lycannroc strives to care for its trainer especially when he overtrains himself.

• Sir Fetched, like Eijiro, possess a “Manly Code of Honor” that earn both respect and puzzlement sometimes from others.

• Aerodactyl has a shy tendency so it takes a while for it to warm up during battles or meeting newcomers.

• Gigalith provides its trainer with occasional gems or items to sell at shops.

• Tyrantrum loves grooming and showing off itself to others with showcase of strength or vanity.

Denki Kaminari

• Yamper was given to him by his mother and its since evolved due to its devotion.

• Magnezone is always attracting magnetic items to itself so Denki often has to help remove things stuck to it.

• Togedemaru adores plugging its tail into outlets and often causes power outages.

• Alolan Raichu is truly a snuggle pal but its stray electricity often gives others wild hair or fur styles.

• Galvantula likes to bestow gifts of fine silk to females.

• Corviknight belonged to his late mother and now strives to ensure his safety from potential threats.

• Darmanitan gifted by his father so was kept at a distance but since then have become close comrades.

• Bisharp tests Shoto’s sharp thinking but always accepts its trainer’s decisions.

• Blaziken also has a nasty scar from Shoto’s father training it, allowing the two to bond deeper.

• Florges helps remind him that even after summer’s intense heat and winter’s icy cold spring always awaits.

• Alolan Vulpix gifted by his mother, it attempts to soothe others by using healing type moves.

• Vulpix also gifted by his mother, a fierce defender who doesn’t hesitate to place itself between trainer and adversary’s.

— But somehow along the way you stopped going to school with them when your parents unexpectedly divorced. Your parents moved you to a different school during the last year of elementary school.

— But guess it was for nothing because soon after they got back together, but still you didn’t move back. Guess the business was doing well because you went to a respectable middle school dedicated to honing the next generation of heros.

— You went to Corusan Middle School; the same middle school as Shoto Todoroki. And even made friends with him, since you knew him since infancy.

— You went to Shiketsu High School for your first year, and transferred to UA in your second year.

— She took inspiration from the Shiketsu High uniform for her hero costume.

— It’s said Bakugo disliked and relentlessly bullied Midoriya in childhood was because he was jealous of how Yuki was so kind and affectionate towards him. He might have had a small crush on Yuki.

— Shoto doesn’t like using his left side, not only because of resentment toward his father, but also because one time he was playing with Yuki and badly burned her.

— Endeavor thought it good idea to have Shoto be responsible by having him ask for young Mochiyuki’s hand in marriage. And although Yuki cried and pleaded the elders not to do it, Shoto later came to her house and asked Yuki for forgiveness with a ring.

— Although Shoto doesn’t say anything on the matter, Yuki knows he’s displeased so she only tells him not to worry; that since it’s both their dreams to be pros, marriage isn’t a option right now.

— But maybe just maybe Shoto doesn’t mind, if it’s her, that he’ll marry in the future.

— Shoto can be very overprotective of her, and doesn’t really like it when other guys comment about her appearance or quirk.

— Shoto had nothing to worry about, but that was until he saw the way you interacted with Bakugo and especially Midoriya.

— But even if he’s cranky almost all the time, you always seem to make Bakugo speechless and stumble with his words. And Midoriya crack a smile with just a few words of encouragement.

— And Shoto can’t stand it, he loves the way you smile. But he can’t help but feel envious of the way you smile at anyone else, but especially how you did whenever you looked at his older brother.

— It was known since youth, that you had a crush on the oldest Todoroki son. And sometimes Shoto can’t help but feel pathetic knowing you only excepted his proposal because he reminds you of him. Of his older brother, Touya.

— But all you can do is give a small smile as you say your sorry, and all Shoto can do is work harder to capture your heart. Touya is dead after all, (or so he believes) he knows it’s wrong but he can’t help himself, but remind you once again. That your his fiancée even if your feelings for Touya are still there. And there’s nothing that can be done to change it. He knows it, but it still hurts regardless.

— During the panic at the school summer camp, he couldn’t help but imagine the sight of you frighten and crying. He knew you would be so heartbroken if someone happened to your younger brothers. So he made sure to search for, and protect your brothers.

— He enjoyed the way you ran up to him and kissed him on the cheek once he got back to school. And he thoroughly enjoyed the way his name slipped off your lips.

— And in that slit second he stole a kiss from the Ice queen.

— And although your brothers gave him a scolding and hit him a few times, they couldn’t wipe that dumb smile off his face as he said he’ll do it again.

— You could only shake your head, as Shoto was dragged back to class.

— You later heard from Tsu and Ochako, your brothers tied him up in his chair, as Deku tried to restrain Bakugo from punching and using his quirk on him.

Is my first post of the year a character sheet for my OC Julieta? Yes.

Not like I care since I've wanted to do this thing for a while.

Anyways, I'll be putting more info about here below and under the cut.

Julieta does like pokemon battles, in fact she has the potential of being great trainer, but she sometimes has doubts about her skills.

The reasons why her and her mom moved to Paldea were the death of her father 9 years ago and the fact Julieta isolated herself after his passing which means she was having a harder time making new friends as she grew up (and she didn't exactly had many friends before the incident). Also, the two just weren't happy living in Galar anymore ever since Julieta's dad passed away.

Yes, Julieta does speak Galarian and Paldean (English and Spanish). Before moving to Paldea, her mother was teaching her the language so she wouldn't have any complications in the future.

Julieta is usually a calm and kind person, but if you make her really angry she won't hesitate to throw some hands and resort to violence. (She was so close to kicking Arven's ass on their first meeting at the lighthouse because he was being a big jerk).

Can be emotional person at times. Don't watch sad movies with her unless you're prepared to comfort her cause she will be crying for an hour.

Ironically, when her father passed away she did her best to hide her emotions and it eventually became a skill of hers (not a really good skill to have tbh, but hey at least she learns in the future that she doesn't need to pretend she's fine or keep everything to herself 👍).

She loves reading and is a big history nerd. So you bet Ms. Raifort's class is among her favorites.

Her second favorite class is Art class.

Mr. Hassel is her favorite teacher of the academy.

Her cooking skills don't exist, she's just incredibly bad at it. Arven sometimes wonders how the heck she's managed to survived so far. (She can cook very few things that aren't extremely complex though).

Even if she can't cook, she loves food. So expect her to make a stop at the restaurants of each town she visits.

Can be very protective of the people she cares about.

She's had some crushes in the past before and they rarely lasted long or just never got anywhere (poor girl was always afraid to confess due to fear of rejection, and her lack of confidence and probably low self-esteem doesn't help her case), so when this girl realizes she's in love she's going to panic and will not know what to fucking do about it.

Remember the whole thing of her isolating from other people after her dad died being the reason she had a hard time making friends? WELL THAT WAS A LIE. The main reason of her lack of friends was that she was being bullied for her looks and for being a bit of a history nerd. And no, her mother doesn't know about this, the last thing Julieta wanted was to worry her mom.

Speaking of bullying: this is also the reason she has/had low self-esteem and little confidence in herself. (This doesn't mean she won't kick your ass if you make her angry or hurt her friends though).

Don't worry, nowadays her lack of confidence ain't that bad and her self esteem isn't on the floor (thanks to her godmother's encouragement and kind words). But she's still working on it, so every once in a while she has some self-doubts.

She LOVES to dance, it was actually one of her hobbies and it still is, she even dreamed of performing in front of a huge crowd of people. Unfortunately that wish dies down after her dad's passing, she just didn't wanted to fulfill her dream knowing her father wouldn't be there to see it. But she still keeps dancing, mostly in private and when no one is around, let's just say she's become a bit shy about it as the years went by.
