I'm sorry but this is still one of the most hilarious moments in all of Haikyuu :

Asahi's nonchalance, saying "he's fishing in Italy" as if he'd just told them Noya was working as a cashier or something. Like it's no big deal. Daichi's stunned pause, his "What?" with that weird smile.

And then all three of them sitting there, staring at the photo, Asahi's cute little grin, the other two not quite sure of what to say, before Suga suddenly turns into a philosopher.

I dunno man. Fururdate's comedic timing is just so on point and I don't think we talk about it enough lmao

There's a difference between shipping two characters and acknowledging the intense (usually gay) bond between characters. You guys get what I mean, right? Like I'm not just going insane?

Like a BSD example:

-I casually ship Louisa X Lucy because I feel like their dynamic could work in a romantic context and because I love it when girls are in love and they both deserve to be happy 🩷

-HOWEVER Chuuya and Dazai have an intense bond, they are one soul in two bodies, written and designed to compliment the other, Chuuya trusts Dazai with his life and vice versa, Dazai believed in Chuuya's humanity from the very beginning, their old and sorted dynamic, Chuuya being like the only one who understands Dazai's motives, and so, knowing all of this, I simply have no choice but to acknowledge their homosexuality because if I don't then I'm just being willfully ignorant

Or a MHA example:

-I somewhat ship Dabi x Hawks because it's hilarious whilst also having beautiful potential for angst

-BUT Bakugou and Midoriya quite simply just are gay as shit for each other and I have no choice but to accept it. Rivals constantly pushing the other, their complicated history and how they've both grown because of it, their understanding of the other, Bakugou basically trusting Midoriya with his fears and insecurities, Bakugou being the first to know about One for All, Kaachan Bakugou.

Or a MTP example:

-I guess you could say I ship Microsoft X Albert because I think it's sorta very funny and extremely plausible.

-MEANWHILE William and Sherlock are like the only person who understands each other and can keep up with them and Sherlock is diving off of buildings and cradling William's head as they fall (in love).

Or a JJK example:

-I kinda ship Maki X Nobara because I can and I want to and they could work

-ALTERNATIVELY Gojo and Geto where each others one and only best friend, best friend they ever had, knows his smell, his heart and soul know otherwise. They're just disgustingly in love and I hate it but there's nothing I can do about it except cry

Or a Haikyuu example:

-I do ship Hanamaki X Matsukawa because lord is it hilarious and the fanon presentation of a romantic relationship between them is always the funniest thing ever and the fics are so good

-YET Hinata and Kageyama are exactly what the other needed, Kageyama found his better half, their constant pushing of the other to do better, promises fulfilled and matches won, casual moments and casual touch. I did not choose to see them in a romantic light, they forced me to. I am a victim

Or a Merlin example:

-I dabble in shipping Percival X Gwaine purely because I can and no one is gonna stop me

-ALTHOUGH Merlin and Arthur are so gross and icky and care about each other so much and repeatedly risk their lives for the other and Arthur asked Merlin to hold him whilst he dies and Merlin spends forever waiting for Arthur's return. I just can't view them platonically or something after everything I've seen them do and I don't believe anyone who says that they truly don't seem them as romantic or at least something other than platonic or brotherly because how could you not??

Or a Doctor Who example:

-I could ship the Doctor X Jack because that's actually class

-UNFORTUNATELY that would be asking me to ignore the Doctor and Rose. He burned up a sun to say goodbye. He loved her. She loved him, was willing to never see her mother again if it meant she stayed with him. I'm sorry but cmonnnn

Nah but you get what I mean, right? Like I don't 'ship' these people, they're just IN LOVE and I hate them for it.

The breeze from outside the palace is unforgiving, relentlessly cold as it slips past through your thin nightgown and into your skin. It prickles your flesh everytime the leaves from the trees sways, making your already frigid night more unbearable.

But even so, the cold breeze couldn't outweigh the heavy and bitter feeling in your chest, one that makes you decide to go out, one that causes a tear to suddenly fall from your eyes.

You're glad that it's the middle of the night, devoid of maids, visitors and knights to find you in your most vulnerable moment, you wouldn't want them to have the luxury to find you crying, to find you suffering all because of them.

Because of how much they berate you. As much as possible, you wanted them to see you with a smile on your face, with a bold countenance that says ‘no matter how many times you push me down, I will still rise up.’ But as their chastisement worsened, being more physical as you age, the more you couldn't keep up the facade of a strong woman.

“You are here again, it seems” you looked up only to find the mysterious knight you've seen almost every night. He's here again, with his trademark helmet, his presence you found solace in, and his pretty, silvery voice that soothes your nerves.

“Just as I thought, you were crying aren't you?” there's a hint of disappointment in his tone, not because of you crying everytime he comes to see you but because he knows the reason why you would suddenly go here late at night, to let your tears fall without anyone seeing.

He hands you a handkerchief, a green one. If you weren't so dejected at the moment, you would've teased and told him that giving someone a handkerchief is the same as confessing, but you didn't, you took the handkerchief and wiped your tears.

“What did they do this time?” he asks, “the maids gave me food with too much salt” typical, something only cowards and lowly servants like them could do.

“and the chef made a dessert with pear.” you heard him curse from under his breath, something that made you giggle a bit.

“They know you are allergic to pear, how insolent. You are a princess, how dare they?” he's getting mad on your behalf, even more angry than you are, cursing the names of those imperial maids and cooks — it's hilarious seeing him get so worked up, get so worked up in something that isn't his problem.

It goes on for quite some time, how he swears that he'll make them pay by pushing them intentionally when he sees them, or to criticize them harshly that they'll cry so much.

It's enough assurance and comfort to make you forget about the whole ordeal, enough to make you stop crying.

“I should go back, thank you for comforting me again sir knight” you smiled at him, just this once you wish you could see the face of the man who comforts you every night but you know it'll take a long time, you can't push someone who told you that he feels insecure when he removes his helmet. For now, you're just glad that he's comfortable enough to see and talk to you everyday.

“Good night princess, have a good sleep” he bids you goodbye, standing still as you enter the palace.

When he couldn't find your figure anymore, Tsukishima removes his helmet, his blonde hair all messy now, cheeks dusted with pink as he recalls what he did earlier.

He gave you a handkerchief?

A handkerchief out of all things.

What was he thinking?

You don't even know his face yet and even if he removes his helmet in front of you, he knows you'll be scared, you'll never talk to him ever again — because out of all the people in the palace, it's him you dislike the most.

How could he tell you that he's Tsukishima kei, the empire's greatest knight, the person your father favors so much?

You've said it multiple times, how much you hate your father and his favorite knight, then how was he supposed to introduce himself to you?

And he still dares to give you a handkerchief? Though it is pretty much needed in that moment, still, that was humiliating.

Tsukishima sighs, burying his face into his hand, really he's so stupid. He could only wish you didn't know what it meant to give someone a handkerchief and wish that someday, he'll introduce himself to you — with no helmet.

Law’s favorite fictional TV show character is Rusty Cohle from True Detective!!

Law loves Milk Tea, but he hates boba. He doesn’t like the texture at all.

One time, luffy asked him to pour him a glass of water. So law took out the pitcher, pored it for a millisecond, and handed it to him.

“TORAOOOO THIS ISN’T FUNNY”

(Law thought it was hilarious and he did the same thing to Eustass-ya)

Law listens to the Beatles Channel while driving. He has SiriusXM.

When he kisses Kanna, he smells amazing, but his breath sometimes smells like coffee (Kanna doesn’t tell him this because she doesn’t want him to feel insecure. So, she’ll find other little things to do. Law may or may not learn about this later. If he does he’ll find it very wholesome.)

He liked the movie Zootopia.

Law cried laughing when he watched Jurassic Shark 2: Aquapocalypse because it was so bad.

He loves Calvin Klein branded clothes.

Law secretly wants to do the puppy interview like Keanu Reeves did. He hasn’t told anyone this, not even Kanna.

Law thinks Aerith Gainsborough and Tifa Lockhart are really cute. For Valentine’s Day, more intimate moments, or conventions, Law will cosplay as either nothing or Cloud and Kanna as Aerith.

Law wasn’t super into Haikyuu, but he watched it with Kanna. He likes it mainly bc it made her happy. For special occasions, he’ll buy her an Haikyuu tshirt so he can wear it for her to snuggle.

Law likes summarizing things or talking about the shows he’s watched with Kanna. She thinks he’s really good at summarizing things.

“Law! You’re really awesome at telling stories and summarizing things!”

He won’t know what to say. He’ll probably ask her about it a few hours later.

Friends to Lovers Tournament: Round 2, Side A, Match 7

propaganda under the cut!

Junnana:

Oh they are so very silly and I adore them. They basically spent the anime being the most married couple there, the game amplifying that and the movie burning that all to the ground (or Nana did that) before vowing to start a new later. They're just a girl reaching for her dreams without a ton of natural talent and a girl who enjoys helping her friends shine instead of herself despite being super skilled but even though they have slightly different goals on the stage they both respect each other so very much to the point where things only go wrong in the movie because Nana lost a bit of the respect for Junna that was always so fundamental in their dynamic. The Overture manga gives a bit of insight into what their early interactions were like especially in their respective focus chapters (3 and 9), with 3 showing that Nana was planning on becoming their class president rather than Junna but stepped down just because she had so much trust in her abilities while still making it clear that Junna could rely on her while in 9 the mutual reliance came back in the form of Junna being the one to make Nana realize she wasn't alone. Carrying onwards to the anime, some time before the whole thing, Nana decided "hey time loops are pretty cool" because she was afraid of her and her friends growing up and separating. This was not a fact known by anybody but her and that one giraffe and did not affect the early plot, where for the most part Junna was more focused on due to her struggles being highlighted from the moment revues were introduced and Nana was just constantly around her. Then Junna ended up being the first person Nana actually told about them directly (and not in a very vague way in a revue because otherwise Hikari would be the first) because it was looking like said loops were about to end because the childhood friends to lovers dynamic as a whole decided to say nuh uh to her. Then she did in fact lose her next revue which made the idea of continuing her repetitions a little impossible but Junna ended up recovering from that whole shock pretty quickly, and went to comfort Nana and help her learn to start anew. 

Then there's the game which. yeah there's so much stuff in there that I can't even explain it all. In the main story we get the arc of Nana starting her overprotective bs once again, getting stopped and then being given more courage to move forward by Junna since she was realizing that she kind of messed up (since she decided to object to the concept of plays just having lead actors in general. as you do), but there's so much stuff outside of the main story. Highlights include: Junnana literally making up their own ship name, Nana deciding the best way to practice for a role centered around an observant character was to observe Junna specifically, Nana writing a self-indulgent Phantom of the Opera adaptation with herself as the Phantom and Junna as Christine in an event where it turned out she relates to the Phantom (red flag #1 as far as I'm concerned) and wrote Christine based on Junna (Junna was very okay with this but I find it hilarious that she made her adaption of a famous play basically self insert fanfiction), the actual Junnana kiss (stage kiss?? real kiss?? we'll never know), the Valentine's Day event where Junna kept saying things like "oh I'd go to any lengths for Nana" while talking about making chocolate of all things, the time Junna talked about how she wouldn't let anybody take her place of staying right by Nana's side if she had to because she loves being there completely out of the blue to Nana's ex of all people (not a canon ex but a lot of people who know about her whole deal with Nana at least agree that they had something going on. and let me tell you Junna telling the person who constantly regrets not having the strength to remain by Nana's side how much she loved being with Nana was not a smart choice, even though Hisame, the girl in question, took it very well), the Steins;Gate collab where a good chunk of the plot is just Junna being worried about Nana, a play where it turned out that the whole time Junna and Nana had both taken inspiration from each other for their roles, the time they had to actively stop themselves during separate interviews from just rambling about each other, etc. There's so much. Also I forgot to mention it during the main story part but there's also an alternate universe briefly discussed where one of their friends just does not exist so Nana is one of the two best actors in the class and gets the lead role in the play they perform every year, and there's a scene after their performance where Junna talks about how, in the play which is a tragedy involving two lesbians in love, Nana's performance made her think that, if she had stood as her co-star, she would have simply been built different and prevented the tragedy from happening. The plot ends with one character falling form a tower and another being imprisoned within it, and Junna is like "if I was this tragedy and I was with you I would have simply taken your character's hand and never let her go". They're just so married in the game and I can't believe them for it

And then there's the movie. We don't talk about the movie but I kind of have to. Okay so you remember those two friends I was talking about who act very married and ultimately have a lot of their relationship based around their mutual respect for each other? What if Nana stopped respecting Junna entirely one day? That's their movie arc. This movie covers the girls "dying" as stage girls (ie. losing what made them true stage girls/actors in the first place) and then being "reborn" as them, and unfortunately Nana is of the opinion that Junna could just simply have her symbolism death and not the other part. During their revue, Nana talks a lot about how beautiful and dazzling (using those exact words. she even called Junna heartbreakingly beautiful in the dub) Junna was when she was foolishly reaching for a role she wasn't likely to get, but put it all in past tense, and encouraged Junna to let herself die as a stage girl in a brilliant manor rather than trying and failing to grasp her brilliance and dying out like that. also she called her an ugly fruit which sure is something. Then Junna was like "???? no I won't do that actually???" and took one of Nana's swords from her to engage in a sword fight since Nana had destroyed her usual weapon. Which was not a great matchup briefly because Junna never used a sword in her life but after Nana realized that the Junna she was fighting was different from the Junna she knew, and didn't match the role she had assigned for her, Junna ended up telling Nana that her own role was something she'd define for herself and not something Nana could assign for her, and ended up winning against her. After the revue was over, Junna still wanted Nana in her life, and promised her that, one day, they'd reunite on a stage which belonged to both of them, even though they had to find their own stages before that could happen. Before they departed, Nana lamented that Junna was dazzling, contradicting her previous belief that she was only dazzling in the past, all while beginning to cry, and Junna nearly turned around to comfort her, but ultimately decided to continue onto her next stage as Nana carried onwards to her own, knowing that they would both need to grow before their reunion. I also want to mention that, during this scene, a picture of the two of them, one which Nana had stabbed through the middle as she was telling Junna how dazzling she thought she once was, had since been moved to a little pond in the background of the scene (and of the background of the start of the whole revue, so it was there the whole time) that was nearly identical to the one where Junna and Nana had had their moment of comfort at the end of episode 9 of the anime. With the middle of the picture being soaked in water, it ended up sinking just enough for the new cut in the middle of the picture to appear almost mended, showing that, while the damage Nana had done and the rift between them was still there, it was already starting to mend as they once again regarded each other as equals. This scene lives in my head constantly and haunts me daily. Congratulations to Junnana for having a divorce arc as high schoolers

childhood friends!!! admittedly i'm quite rusty on haikyuu so im sorry i can't provide better propaganda for the kuroken nation but i do remember that kuroo literally centered the entire nekoma high volleyball team around kenma and had this whole gay ass speech about how kenma is their brain and the rest of them are the blood like why are you as a man the blood to another man's brain??

The second the door shut, Oikawa was scrambling for freedom.

“Get over here you son of a-” Iwa’s words were cut off by the squeal of terror Oikawa let loose when he was grabbed from behind, arms around his waist as he was yanked back into the couch. “You thought you could pull what you did today and get away with it?”

“Iwa! Iwa wahahhahahhait!”

~~~8 or so hours earlier~~~

Oikawa was bored.

The one day off he finally lets himself have, and Iwa has to go to class! He wouldn’t even skip! 

“I can’t just skip class, Toru. What’s gonna happen when I really do need to skip?”

“You’re gonna go anyway cause you’re too stubborn to acknowledge illness.”

“Watch it…I’ll be home tonight. Just- entertain yourself until then. Take a nap, watch a movie, go on a jog- find something to do.”

Oikawa could really have done any of those things, but they weren’t nearly as fun without Iwa!

‘Come home?’ He texted an hour into the day, knowing how silly he was being but not caring one bit.

‘Later. Class is starting soon- love you, bye.’ Iwa’s text came back.

Oikawa rolled his eyes as he let his phone flop against his chest, groaning dramatically. He texted too much- usually Iwa would humor his back and forth for at least a few seconds. He was starting to learn his ways.

“Class is starting soon my butt.” Oikawa glared at the phone, switching to his socials soon after. Some scrolling here, some liking posts there- he left what he felt was a hilarious comment under Mattsun’s recent sunset photo, but gave up when Mattsun replied with a simple “???”. How tiresome.

He was about to call up Maki to see if he was available when a video came into his feed- one that made him stop and stare.

“Is it recording? Great! Hi, my name is Hinata Shoyo- and this is what I like to call: Tickle me Kageyama!” In the video the redhead turned to his friend, jumping on him and attacking his ribs with reckless abandon. Kageyama practically squawked, flailing in his chair while swearing every bad word he knew at him. Soon though- he was laughing up a storm, pig snorts mixing with endless bouts of laughter.

“Don’t swear so much, Shoyo’s sister might be watching!” He didn’t recognize the voice behind the camera, but he sounded very amused. A taller guy with a close shaved head waved at the camera before jumping in, further driving Kageyama up the wall. “Get ‘em, Tanaka! Hehehe!”

The video ended not long after that, the replay button taunting Oikawa like a flashing light. His body was tingling all over. God I wish that was me…

Panicked, he tossed his phone into the nearest pillow, shaking his head. No, no- don’t start feeling like that right now! Iwa’s not gonna be home for another decade! And even when he did get home…

When he got home…

A new idea came to mind, and Oikawa snickered in glee as he grabbed his phone, pulling up the texts…

~~~4 hours ago~~~

It was agony waiting until Iwa’s first class was over, but he knew his boyfriend wouldn’t be on his phone during class. He waited until he knew class was over before beginning his attack.

The first thing was simple. A picture of a heart, sparkly and pink. Eventually the text said ‘read’ but nothing appeared after. Oikawa could picture Iwa’s confused face as he looked upon the picture.

A moment later, he sent a gif of a shower of hearts, followed by ‘Does this make you think of anything?’

Bubbles. Then: ‘You’re having a heart attack?’

It took everything in Oikawa not to send a rolling eye emoji.

‘I’m thinking of how much I love you~’ He texted, followed by three pink heart emojis. He waited- then.

‘Stop it.’ Iwa wrote.

‘Why?’

‘You know why.”

‘Iwa-chan~’

‘I’m on campus!’

‘And you told me to find something entertaining to do. <3”

‘Find something else.’

‘Can I find the words to say how much I adore you? How hot are you when you take things so seriously and finish what you start? How are you so strong- both physically and mentally? How I love just how in the zone you are when you’re doing something you love?’ It was devious and awful and terrible but Oikawa was kicking his feet like a school girl picturing how red Iwa must be looking right now. He could easily picture the others on campus looking at him wondering: “What’s got him so flustered?”

‘Toru…’

‘Yes, my sweet prince?’

‘Final warning.’ This was it! ‘Stop it or I’ll make you stop.’

Oikawa considered. Then he grinned. ‘Hey- guess what? I love you, Hajime.’ He wrote before sending it to Iwa. He waited, and waited, and waited…

‘You’re done for.’ And that was that.

Oikawa cackled, tossing his phone into the couch as he did a little jig. Laughing like a child, he sent a few heart emojis and a kissy face before turning off his phone, knowing seeing the time would make the anticipation worse.

All he had to do now was wait.

~~~Present time~~~

“You know- if you really want me to tickle you, you could have just asked.” Iwa growled in his ear, sitting on the back of his hips as he creeped his fingers up Oikawa’s shirt, scratching along warm skin. “No need to fluster me in front of my freaking adviser!”

“Whihihihiihihy whehehehre you on the phoohoohohone with yohoohohur advihihihisor? Aheahhahhahaha, Iehehehhehhewa!” Oikawa giggled out, pressing his arms against his sides as he tried to block him out. It didn’t work.

“He came up to me during your little game, shitty-kawa! I had to make up some dumb excuse that I doubt he believed!” He moved his fingers higher up, wiggling them along his ribs. “Let’s see- I think it’s only fair I make you as red as you made me today.”

“Iihihiihihiwa, aheahhahahhahhahahaha! Pffft- gehahahahahhaha, pleahhahhahahhase!” Oikawa cried, kicking his feet against the cushions. “It tiihihihiihihihckles!”

“No way, does it really?” Iwa asked, tapping along his upper ribs, just before his armpits. “Anything you want to say?”

“Mhmhmmhmmhmhhehehehehehe! HEheheheehehehehehehehe!” Oikawa willed the giggles down, daring a look back at Iwa’s face. “Dohohohoho your wohohohorst!”

Iwa tsked. Then he dug his hands into Oikawa’s armpits.

“AHHEHAHHAHHAH!” The setter squealed, thrashing about beneath him as he laughed himself hoarse. “OHOHOHOOHKAY OOHOOHHOKAY I’M SAHAHHHAHARRY! IIHIHIHIHM SHAAHHAHAHRRY!”

“Promise?” Iwa asked.

“PRHOOHOHOHOOHMISE!”

“Hm….okay.” The tickles came to an end, leaving Oikawa gasping for breath with his head pressed into the cushions. Iwa hummed before swatting him gently, climbing off his back and scooping him up. In a matter of minutes, they were cuddling on the couch. “You’re a shit.”

“Yohohoohu love me.” Oikawa pointed out, giggling when his side was poked.

“Shush.”

“Nope.” Oikawa looked up at him, eyes kind. “And I’m not sorry for what I said! I mean every word.” Iwa tried to glare, but his face grew rosey and the undeniable love in his eyes glinted. “Though I suppose texting you during school wasn’t wise.”

“No, it wasn’t. But…I don’t mind.” Iwa mumbled, silencing Oikawa with a kiss. “But if you do that again, next time I’m not having mercy.”

“We’ll see.”

Kei Tsukkishima

He has one of the most engaging character arcs in the show imo! And it all pays off and comes to a head in an absolutely stellar episode during one of the team's most pivotal games. It's just such a satisfying moment where Tsukishima let's his feelings out and allows himself to feel the thrill of victory and the love of the game. Moon Knight

Moon Knight is an underrated character who's been around since the mid-70's, but has only recently gotten the more attention he deserves since the Disney+ adaptation. However, I am a firm comics supremacy believer and can attest he is even cooler in the comics. The current run (Moon Knight 2021) is the best he's been written in quite some time for example, as it's friendly to veteran fans and new fans alike!

Moon Knight is not your friendly neighbourhood Spider-Man; he will fuck you up if you deserve it, and benefits from the fact that many villains are terrified of him.

Moon Knight is canonically Jewish, and though he is non-practising, it plays a major part in his story and identity.

It's also worth noting that Moon Knight has DID, with three identities: Marc Spector (host), Steven Grant, and Jake Lockley.

He's such an interesting and compelling character. The comics have spawned countless hilarious memes (I know you're here Dracula you big nerd wheres my money; random bullshit go; etc). The show was amazing, and Oscar Isaac acted his ass off

They are so cool; they're both canonically Jewish and have DID

One of the most unique superheroes out there due to being plural. Really cool, too.

“Heh, you think so?” He playfully splashes a bit of water toward you when your approaching the ocean waves. You’re hopping straight into the water as he drags you in.

Oikawa doesn’t forget his waterproof camera and takes a lot of photos of you (mostly candid) which he will delightfully keep in his wallet or phone lockscreen.

“Wanna race?” he offers just to show off his amazing swimming skills. Even if he won the race, you couldn’t be mad bc of how hot it was seeing the speed of his strokes. You swore he could’ve been a mermaid in his past life

“Haha! I winnn!” he declares, throwing his fist in the air after reaching the goal-point. It was hilarious to see his alien goggles still tightly worn around his eyes.

You roll your eyes before your boyfriend grabs your waist from under the water, making you shriek and pulls you closer, eyes begging for something. "Do I get a prize?" he snickers. He doesn't have to ask twice.

You grab the sides of his head, startling the man, before smashing your lips against his. Oikawa pulls away, surprised, before tugging his alien goggles down and bringing you in a deeper kiss. He didn't care about moving his wet, messy bangs out of the way but neither did you as your legs wrap around his waist beneath the ocean surface.

"You're so gonna pay for that." Kuroo's voice darkens and you squeal, watching him kick his heel against the sand, ready to pounce. Now, you're chasing each other on the sand. He finally catches you, arms lifting you up and walking towards the shoreline. Without warning, he dives into the water.

"Tetsu!!' you yelp, feeling the cold liquid stun your sunkissed skin. He turns around with a grin on his lips. Not another word leaves your mouth as you fall back and stare at his wet hair, water trickling down his heaving chest. Of course, it boosts his ego when you're caught ogling him.

"Eyes up here, angel." He chuckles as your face turns red from embarrassment. Once again, Kuroo dives underwater, swimming towards you. He resurfaces with his face inches away from yours. His once spiky hair is now flattened from being dipped in water.

“Haha, babe, your hair—.” You laugh but it soon cuts off with Kuroo’s lips on yours. The kiss breaks off earlier than intended as he tries to catch his breath.

“Hm,” he chuckles breathlessly. “Stop talking about my hair and kiss me. Don’t forget, baby, you still owe me.”

Meanwhile, the blazing sun scatters over the pearly sands. It's a good thing Akaashi remembered to bring your beach umbrella to provide some shade as you lay on a large, soft towel. However, the shadow had moved above your face. Akaashi notices and places a hand over your face to block the sun from your eyes.

"Keiji," you murmur your boyfriend's name. He hums a response, grabbing your hand and placing his lips on the back of it.

"Wanna swim?" you suggest, voice laced with sleep.

He chuckles, moving straying hairs away from your face. “You wanna go for a swim?” You nod.

Akaashi shifts his shades over his bangs. "Okay, let's go." He takes a sip of his cold soda before standing up. “Come here, love.” Arms circle around your waist and you naturally cling onto him. He knew you were still feeling a bit tired from the small nap, although, you also wanted to take the opportunity to dip yourself into the cool sea before the sun goes down.

“Too cold?” he asks when he feels you slightly shiver from contact with the water. You were still in his arms, leaning your head against his neck.

“Nope S’alright,” you say, softly. Eventually, the coldness becomes comforting and it was all too comfortable because soon enough, your eyes start to droop once again, being swayed between waves while your lover holds you close, humming.

Akaashi seems to notice. “Sleepyhead,” he teases, placing a peck on your forehead.

“I’m not sleeping,” you murmur before dropping under the water to freshen yourself. He laughs, tilting his head back. The colden liquid definitely revitalized your senses as you felt the playful urge to splash water to your boyfriend.

“Huh, so you wanna play?” he starts with a warning tone which makes you giggle. “You started this.” You begin swimming away as he chases after you in the ocean. He definitely could out-swim you but decides to move at a slower pace, giving you some time before he has his arms around you again.

“Sure you don’t wanna swim, babe?” you ask, unraveling the towel from your hips. A faint blush appears on his cheeks as you do so. It’s a good thing his frames were too dark to notice where his eyes were, he thought. Your legs were now exposed, the warm sun tickling your skin, itching to dip itself into the cool ocean.

He clears his throat, making it more obvious that he was being enchanted by you. “I-it’s okay, love. I’ll join you after.” He resumes flipping the meat before opening a container from your picnic basket.

“Alright, suit yourself,” you giggle before jogging into the ocean. Daichi’s eyes return to you, taking in the scene before him, your curves, your sunkissed skin, the way your hair ruffles in the wind. Then, he’s chuckling to himself as he pops a grape into his mouth.

You’re having a nice time basking in the sun while your body simultaneously swishes around the water. From time to time, you’d look over to watch your lover on the grill, sometimes catching his eyes on you. Daichi would send a wave or lift his brows, a curve shown on his lips. Even from a distance, you could see his toned arms bulge with each movement of muscle.

At some point, he signals, letting you know the bbq is done. The aroma of bbq mixed with burnt charcoal fills the air as you approach back to the shady area where Daichi sits.

“I’m all wet,” you warn Daichi when he pulls your body down to his. In his hand was a pair of chopsticks holding a piece of meat between them. A hand cups under it as he gestures you to try his concoction.

“S’okay. Try this, baby.” His arms raise from both of your sides as you sit against his chest. Daichi didn’t mind that his chest and his trunks are dripping from your soaked form. He was going to swim, too, anyway.

You part your lips and take the piece of meat between your teeth. It was still quite warm. The nice crunchy texture and flavors on your tongue cause a happy noise to escape from your throat. “Mm! That’s really good, honey.” His chest fills with pride, watching you. Just seeing you this happy makes him giddy.

“Thanks—Mm!” You take one piece and turn slightly backwards to feed him while he spoke. His eyes seem to light up from the taste. “Wow, you’re right.” You spend the next moments together enjoying lunch on the beach, enjoying the scenery.

Daichi didn’t mind that his chest and his trunks are now dripping from your soaked form. He was going to swim, too, anyway.

If you ask Osamu, Atsumu’s been pining after Hinata Shouyou for years. Since that first volleyball match between Karasuno and Inarizaki, even. It’s been hilariously pathetic.

If you ask Atsumu, first of all, he doesn’t pine. Second of all, really, the whole “holy shit he’s hot” moment didn’t happen until Shouyou walked into the MSBY Black Jackals open tryouts looking like sin itself and proceeded to kick ass.

(The only person who knows that Atsumu spent the next 48 hours repeatedly cycling through, “But I’m straight,” and, “Apparently Not,” is Sakusa Kiyoomi, and only because he accidentally walked in on Atsumu panic making onigiri at 5 AM in the communal kitchen. Atsumu had looked up, said, “I think I might be a little gay.” Sakusa, deciding that this was the timeline that God had abandoned, walked right back out.)

Being on a team with Shou-chan is divine torture. He is, hands-down, the most fun spiker to set for. Shouyou defies gravity, bends the laws of nature whenever they don’t suit him, and there’s something mesmerizing in the way he moves. It’s not that the others aren’t as good—despite the ribbing and teasing, Atsumu does genuinely like Omi-kun, and Bokuto is always a good time both on and off the court—but he likes Shouyou best.

Maybe it’s that Shouyou never wants Atsumu to stop setting for him, and Atsumu never gets tired of having someone to set for. Maybe it’s that Shouyou’s eyes are burnt-toffee brown and they shine so bright after every point he wins. Maybe it’s the way Shouyou bounces up to him, tucks himself under Atsumu’s arm without even thinking about it, like personal space is irrelevant and unnecessary, and talks near-endlessly about the different plays they could pull off. Maybe it’s the intensity of his focus, or the firm grip of his hand when he claps Atsumu on the shoulder, or…

Or maybe it’s that, in the early mornings, Shou-chan will sometimes seem quieter, more centered, fresh off his meditation and yoga routine. He’s graceful on the court and graceful as he bends himself into a dozen different shapes—each of which Atsumu has distinct and vivid fantasies about—but when he stumbles into the kitchen, he sometimes catches his hip on the corner of the counter. He’ll offer to make Atsumu breakfast—usually eggs and fruit, or yogurt and fruit, or, if he’s breaking the diet they’re supposed to be on, cornmeal cakes and fruit and ham, all things he picked up from Brazil—because Atsumu is always awake to watch Hinata do yoga to get an early start on his day.

It's one thing to think Hinata is hot, which he is, and for Atsumu to imagine what it’d be like to bend Hinata into one of those downward dog positions on Atsumu’s bed instead of a yoga mat, or get off to an illicit fantasy or ten about what might happen if the two of them were the last ones in the locker room at the end of practice. It’s another thing entirely to dream about some domestic shit where they take turns making dinner in their own house instead of the team apartment complex, to dream about the simplicity of just taking Shouyou’s hand and holding it, to dream about Shou-chan taking him to Brazil to meet the people who’ve become so important to him there, like a second family.

Osamu figures out that it’s more than just physical attraction or admiration for Shouyou’s skill approximately 27 seconds into one of their phone-calls and proceeds to laugh his ass off about it for a solid five minutes straight before saying, “Shoulda known you’d be stupid ‘bout this too.” And then he’d hung up.

Atsumu would like to think he’s not so obvious, that ‘Samu only knows ‘cause of twin shit. He’s pretty sure most of the team doesn’t know. Outside of practice, he only really spends time with Hinata, Sakusa, and Bokuto. And Bokuto’s kind of obtuse about a lot of stuff, probably because it’s Akaashi-Simp-Hours 24/7 in his head. But Atsumu should have known Omi-kun would figure it out.

“Eugh,” he says in Atsumu’s general direction a minimum of twelve times a day, usually when he catches Atsumu distractedly ogling Shouyou. Omi-kun, who seems like he doesn’t like anybody, does actually like Shou-chan, so he probably doesn’t think Atsumu’s good enough for him, but he also has a very firm “if it’s not my business, it’s not my problem” policy. Which is good for Atsumu.

What’s not good for Atsumu—not good for his heart, which is about to beat out of his chest, or his lungs, which have decided to stop functioning altogether—is the way Shouyou is standing in the doorway to Atsumu’s room with a slightly-sheepish, slightly-sly smile.

It’s past midnight, and they’ve finally wrapped up the after-party from celebrating their first defeat of the Adlers for the season. Some members of the other team had come, surprisingly amicable despite losing; Atsumu knows Omi-kun spent most of the evening quietly conversing with Ushiwaka, knows that Shouyou and Kageyama and Bokuto had gotten into something of a drinking contest—Atsumu wasn’t jealous, he wasn’t, even if everyone and their mother knows Kageyama was Shou-chan’s first love.

(Well, first human love, considering Shouyou’s first love is and always will be volleyball.)

Atsumu also knows that Kageyama, who apparently cannot hold his liquor as well as Shouyou can, is passed out in Shouyou’s room right now, on Shouyou’s bed, probably in some of Shouyou’s clothes—if there are any that would fit him—or maybe even naked, since his own clothes smelled pretty strongly of alcohol. He’ll never say it out loud, but this is one of Atsumu’s worst nightmares: that despite all the time and distance and experience between them now, Shouyou and Kageyama will continue to circle back to each other through some force of nature or fate, and there’s nothing Atsumu can do—even if he was brave enough to tell Shou-chan his feelings, even if those feelings were reciprocated in some way—to keep it from happening.

And yet.

Shouyou is here, standing in Atsumu’s doorway.

“Watcha doin’ Shou-chan?” he asks, because he has to say something, because he doesn’t understand what’s happening.

“Bakageyama’s taking up the whole bed,” Shouyou says, pouting. Atsumu’s about 90% sure it’s an act of some sort, but he doesn’t know what the end game is.

“I’m sure ya could fit,” Atsumu says, and then immediately wants to punch himself.

Shouyou’s head tips to the side, those toffee eyes wide and not-quite-innocent. “Why would I do that, Atsumu?”

He swallows harshly. Shouyou doesn’t call him Atsumu, not since Bokuto got everyone started on Tsum Tsum. And no one says his name like that, a little drawn out, quiet and serious, maybe a little teasing, and wow, yeah, Atsumu didn’t know hearing Shouyou say his name like that was going to put a serious fracture in his self-control. He’s pretty sure he’s blushing.

Something cautious flickers over Shouyou’s face, a tiny furrow in his brow, and he says, “Unless…if I’m wrong, I’m sorry, I—”

“No.” Atsumu’s speaking before he’s even aware of it. Something is happening here, something tremendous, and Atsumu is not going to let it slip by just because he’s a little terrified of his own feelings. There’s no doubting what Shouyou’s getting at, and the last thing in the world that Atsumu wants is for Shouyou to second-guess himself now. “Yer not…yer not wrong.”

“Oh.” And then Shouyou smiles, one of those slower, slyer curves of the mouth that hold a promise of something. “Good.”

(Atsumu wakes up to Shouyou’s body tucked firmly against his own, Shouyou’s mouth brushing the base of his throat, hot breath fanning across his collarbone. One of his own legs is tucked between Shouyou’s, and one of Shouyou’s is thrown over his hip. Atsumu is half-hard in his boxers and he doesn’t even care. Sex is the furthest thing from his mind at this moment, because all he can do is marvel at how perfectly Shouyou fits against him, how peaceful it is to wake up like this, how the sun is just peeking through the window, catching on the very tips of Shouyou’s hair, which means he’ll wake up soon and probably start his morning routine, and maybe they’ll have breakfast together, and Atsumu…

Atsumu is not sure yet, if he’s really in love or if he only thinks he is. But he hopes Shouyou will let him find out.)

what are ur thoughts on kiyoko as a character?

oh this is an interesting one!!! long post under the keep reading because i have lots of thoughts on kiyoko and women in haikyuu (the rest will prob get their own post)

in short, i think that kiyoko as a character is interesting (the confidence the dedication) but also limited by sexism in the narrative!!

kiyoko’s character is nearly entirely defined by her femininity and existence as a girl. when we first meet her properly, she’s objectified (hinata and kageyama staring at her chest and body). as the story progresses, she continues to basically only exist as an object of attraction + a source of motivation for the boys. she has a personality, but it’s a bit generic in that she’s shy and quiet and responsible (’ideal female character’). her most notable moments mainly involve the boys’ attraction to her (hinata shutting down when she tries to encourage him, suga’s comments about marriage).

and finally, she is plagued by the pervert trope. or rather, tanaka and noya embody the pervert trope and she is the victim of it. most of kiyoko’s screentime, especially in the earlier seasons, is dedicated to tanaka and noya’s attraction to her and the way they act on that. constantly being overprotective (taking away her agency), violating her personal boundaries (noya leaping at her and getting slapped + the ensuing respect the boys give noya after it), and generally treating her as more of an object than a person. yamamoto is an example of it too! it’s a common (and problematic) trope in anime and manga, and generally most forms of media. i hate it!! while this is all a gag and for the sake of comedy, it doesn’t change the fact that kiyoko’s character mostly exists in this context alone: either to be motivational because she’s attractive, or to be a subject of harassment because it’s funny and she’s attractive.

kiyoko gains more depth by season 2, when yachi is introduced. yachi is a fellow girl - around her, kiyoko’s behavior is more open. even then, though, yachi’s first reaction upon meeting her is objectifying her like the male characters do. she highlights all of kiyoko’s physical traits, even calls her sexy, sexualizing a girl she has never met on the grounds that she’s attractive. and sure, as the fandom we find it hilarious because it’s. clearly gay! but it’s part of a pattern in the story where kiyoko’s existence is nearly completely defined by her being a pretty girl.

we can’t forget how s2 also brings johzenji, and consequently, terushima (+ bobata) who outright harass kiyoko in a way that women/afab ppl/etc are ALL too familiar with irl. they corner her and refuse to understand that no means no, and it takes hinata’s interference to get them to stop. even after this, terushima continues to harass kiyoko, and it’s played for laughs. even smaller moments that involve kiyoko still objectify her. oikawa’s current concern pre-timeskip? kiyoko turned him down. yahaba and kindaichi comment on karasuno’s luck in having a beautiful female manager. over and over again, we see kiyoko defined as an object of attraction instead of as an actual person.

this OF COURSE leads me to season 4!!! when she gets her moment to shine!! there’s her moment at the shrine, where she displays her absolute confidence in her team in like. the most fucking awesome way possible. and then there’s the whole revelation about her being an athlete! and having her own passion and skills! and while i think that this is a great moment for kiyoko!!! and for her character as a whole!!! i do not think it outweighs the sexist tropes and treatment that surround her character throughout the whole of the story. it follows her even to the timeskip.

in fact, it follows her even to the fandom perception of her. if you go to her page on the haikyuu wiki, you get this stellar entry: She is most commonly described as an extremely attractive, albeit "erotic" girl who would often garner a lot of attention from both male and female students; including from other school teams. Because of her appearance, Karasuno High is generally known as the team with the beautiful manager. It’s absolutely mindblowing to me (not really. it’s to be expected) that a teenage girl is sexualized like this to the point where she’s described as ‘extremely attractive, ableit “erotic”‘. why is it even ‘albeit’. please tell me they’re not implying that people finding her erotic is a negative trait for her. pls tell me that the wiki is complaining about people sexualizing her. please.

anyways, kiyoko as a character is cool! she just. barely exists! we know that she’s funny, but only because she loosens up enough around yachi (another girl) to be that way! we know that she’s confident and determined from the way she speaks about her team when the show gives her the chance! we know that she’s capable because of all the responsibilities she shoulders (well!!!) that. barely get any attention. (because remember when she cooked for the whole team??? which. of course she cooks for them.)

so it’s just tragic to me that she gets treated in such a way by the story. like, sure, at least she gets more attention than narita, but. most of it is just sexist.

still about kishimoto often sexualising sasuke when he’s being manipulated… it’s so hilarious when people claim that sasuke “was beat into submission and manipulated by naruto” at vote2 and none of what i explained happens in that moment. and i’m not even saying kishimoto doesn’t sexualise sasuke near naruto because that happens in chapter covers and even in that haikyuu art ig… but it’s obviously for other reasons. also let’s compare the whole manipulation thing ah yes itachi lied about the reason why he killed his whole clan, tortured sasuke more than once and told him to live a life full of hatred otherwise he wouldn’t be strong enough to kill him and avenge the uchiha, orochimaru placed a cursed seal on sasuke, which actively triggered his trauma and anger, so sasuke would seek him for power and orochimaru would be able to take his body as a vessel for the sharingan, obito tied sasuke up and told him what really happened to his brother right after sasuke killed said brother, the person he loved the most in his life, and was at his most vulnerable mental state so he would join obito and work with the akatsuki, and then there’s naruto who… told sasuke about his feelings for him after sasuke asked

Okay first of all - thank you so much for sending me this ask! I haven't received an ask since like 2018, and I really like answering questions! (are any of y'all old enough to remember Formspring? I loved that shit lmao)

Second of all - this took me forever to think of! I suddenly forgot all pieces of media that I've ever consumed. Plus I wanted to make sure I had a mix of stuff lol

Anyway, here's what I've come up with, in no particular order :)

David Rose | Schitt’s Creek

David Rose is honestly so important to me. When I first started watching Schitt’s Creek, I was just like “oh haha sassy queer man, so funny!” But then as the show progressed, I found myself identifying so much with the character. And then I decided to rewatch the show… four more times over the next few months. Like I just kept going back to it. And eventually I thought “ya know… why do I identify so much with a queer man? I’ve never thought of myself as queer and I’m not a man… so why?” Which led me down the rabbit hole of watching other queer-centric shows and doing a bunch of internet searching of sexuality and gender identity. And I honestly learned so much. Like it’s crazy how much I just assumed about a lot of stuff without ever thinking too deeply about it. And wouldn’t you fuckin know it, I realized I was bisexual. And then the more and more I thought about how I see myself and how I wanted others to see me, I decided that yep, I’m not a man… but I’m also not really too attached to being a woman either. So here we are today, just a big ol’ bisexual nonbinary androgynous blob. All thanks to David Rose!

2. Karasuno VBC | Haikyuu!!

Is this answer cheating? I feel like it’s cheating. But I’ve tried - I’ve reeeally tried - to pick a favorite character from Haikyuu, and I just cannot. So I’ve chosen the entire ‘12-‘13 Karasuno High School Volleyball Club (coaches and managers included!). I just love them each so much for different reasons. Like, Hinata is such a sweetheart and I’m so proud of him by the end of the series! Kageyama is my baby, my sweet grumpy dumb-dumb baby. Sugawara is probably the one I relate to the most, coming off as shy and calm but in reality he’s a little insane. And Asahi! My sweet sensitive Asahi, I love him so much. I could ramble on for days, but I won’t. Just know that I would fight to the death for these fictional characters. 

3. Power | Chainsaw Man

Since I’ve decided that I’d only do one cheat answer, I can’t list the whole Hayakawa family as one character. That said, I’d have to say Power is my favorite of the trio. She’s loud and obnoxious and egotistical and powerful and silly and gross and honestly everything I wish I could be. 

4. Xie Lian | Heaven Official’s Blessing

Xie Lian is so awkward, but he’s low-key hilarious. There’s a moment in chapter 6 of the first novel, where he was worried because he didn’t have any shrines or worshippers dedicated to him in the mortal realm. But then, there’s this excerpt: “And one day, on a whim, he suddenly thought: If no one worships me, I’ll worship myself! None of the heavenly officials knew how to respond to that. Who had ever fucking heard of a god worshipping himself?! To reach such tragic heights, what was the point?! However, Xie Lian was used to receiving nothing but awkward silence the moment he spoke and thought amusing himself could be fun.” Like… that whole ‘fuck it, I’m just gonna do whatever the hell I want’ attitude gives me life. On top of all that, he’s a cheapskate scrap collector, a terrible cook, and has the worst luck. But he’s a total sweetheart, he tries his best at everything he does, he’s always trying to help people, and HELLO he’s got Hua Cheng wrapped around his finger. 

5. Uramichi Omota | Life Lessons With Uramichi-oniisan

My favorite depressy boi. Life Lessons is so freakin funny and way too goddamn relatable. I think I have four different magnets at my desk at work with images / quotes of Uramichi from the show and manga. There's not much else I can say other than he speaks to my soul.

6. Kageyama “Mob” Shigeo | Mob Psycho 100

The goodest boy!! A friend actually recommended Mob Psycho to me, and at first I was a little skeptical. But by the third episode I was hooked. And by season 3, I found myself literally sobbing. Just seeing Mob’s growth throughout the show, and how his kindness impacted so many people around him… it just fills my heart. But also the moment where he almost loses himself to the ???%… just wow. The whole message of that show is so so good and I will literally recommend it to anyone and everyone. 

7. Sasaki Shuumei | Sasaki and Miyano

The sweetest cinnamon roll!! The way he truly loves Miyano is so refreshing. Sure, he has the whole “but he’s a guy…” thought at first. But he gets over that fairly quickly. He just knows that Miyano is cute and he genuinely wants to get to know him. He actively engages with Miyano to try and learn about his interests and hobbies. He reads all the BL Miyano lends him. He gives his honest feedback about each story! He stands up for Miyano’s interests. He confesses to Miyano pretty early on, but recognizes that Miyano may not reciprocate those feelings right away. He continually reassures Miyano that his feelings are strong, but he’s not pushy about it. It’s more like he wants to make sure Miyano doesn’t see his feelings as a passing whim. And when they finally get together, he’s not shy about their relationship. He talks about it to his friends and family. When the two of them start to get more physical, Miyano voices his concern about who’s going to be the “bottom”. And Sasaki’s immediate thought was that he didn’t really care which way they went, he just knew that he wanted it to be with Miyano. And my GOD I loved seeing that. I feel like discussing your sexual preferences with your partner and figuring out what you’re comfortable with doing is SO important, but that aspect of starting a new relationship isn’t portrayed nearly enough in BL stories. It’s usually just one guy being a little nervous about being bottom and the other guy automatically assuming they’re the top, with zero communication. Anyway, I digress. Back to Sasaki. My cinnamon roll. I just love him. 

8. April Ludgate | Parks and Recreation 

Parks and Rec will always be one of my comfort shows. And I first watched it when I was about the same age as April - young enough to not really know what I wanted to do in life and also not really caring about that stuff just yet. I loved her dry sense of humor and her sarcasm. And watching her grow into someone with more confidence in her career and relationships was amazing. Also fun fact, when I interviewed for my first role at my current workplace - which happens to be an Indiana government entity - I was asked why I was interested in government work. And I straight up said that Parks & Rec made it seem interesting lmao. They must have liked that answer, because I’m still there almost 4 years later and have promoted up since then! 

9. Dorothy Zbornak | Golden Girls

I first watched Golden Girls when I was in college, when my roommate was like “I promise you’ll like it, it’s so funny” and I was like bitch… it’s an old show about old ladies. But she was RIGHT. It’s hilarious. And honestly so wholesome. And ICONIC (I mean come on. This show talked about women's sex lives, old women's sex lives at that. And LGBT+ issues. And workplace harassment. And invisible illnesses / disabilities and the struggles of getting your doctor to actually listen to you. All of this in the '80s, no less!) And I feel like most people liked Rose because, duh it’s Betty White. But Dorothy was my jam. She was sarcastic and always annoyed by something (same). But she genuinely cared about her friends. And look. I ain’t gonna lie. That deep, almost raspy voice of hers? Hot. 

10. Jake Peralta | Brooklyn 99

He’s honestly so annoying, but I love him. He gives off this “I’m gonna do the bare minimum and be silly the whole time and STILL get the fuckin’ job done” vibe, and ya know what? He does just that. He’s actually a great detective and problem solver. He just also knows how to have fun. And his relationship with Amy is one of the few straight(-passing) relationships that I honestly love so much. They’re so cute and pure and goofy and relatable. And don’t even get me started on his friendship with Rosa. I mean, he went with her when she wanted to come out as bi to her parents!! Aahhhh!! Lastly, his flannel / hoodie / leather jacket combo? Pure bisexual fashion and I am here for it.

As someone very neutral over Asahi, I really have to say that he is portrayed as the ace amazingly. Even though he isn't the main character and can't score all the epic points, he's still an inherently powerful force and you always trust in him when the ball goes his way, as this viewer.

Shen Yuan was chronically ill before he transmigrated and he died not just due to choking but because a seizure happened during his rage-eating. We know he's an unreliable narrator, hence why he never mentions this - he hated being ill and felt ashamed by it, so he never wants to think about it now he's no longer sick.

A prompt for this could be Shen Qingqui gets wife plotted and the consequence is far too similar to how he lived his old life that he keeps nearly breaking over it. Could lead to an identity reveal or just some good ol' hurt/comfort

T - Do you have any hard and fast headcanons that you will die defending? 

Yamagata has clinical depression. Idrk where this came from but it's something I very much stand by and have lots of interlocking ideas with so, yeah, no one is changing my mind on that.

U - Three favorite characters from three different fandoms, and why they’re your favorites.

Mu Qing (TGCF/Heaven Official's Blessing) - he's my favourite because of his complicated character. He says negative things, the rumours about him is how he is cold and unkind, yet we see his actions and behaviour portrayed very differently. He's a truly complicated guy.

Goshiki Tsutomu (Haikyuu) - I've written an essay on him which I now cannot find??? I'll have to fish it out but basically he's a really well written character whom performs so hard despite the anxiety he's visibly under being in such an infamous team

Shen Yuan (SVSSS/Scum Villain's Self Saving System) - he's a nerd who died and is now a hot guy but has the nerve to complain about it, he's just like me and I love that.

It sounds dramatic and emo as fuck, but Mu Qing. I just get him on a very deep level.

Love for main characters. It sounds weird, but the fandom is full of people who have a pet side character who barely has any lines. This is GOOD, all character deserve appreciation, but can we get some applause for hinata??

Love for rarepairs. This sounds even stranger, considering my last point, but we need to get used to letting people ship whoever the fuck they want. As long as it's legal.

After a good old shuffle of my 94 hour playlist, I got Bad Romance by lady gaga. This is gonna come out of left field because I've never mentioned this fandom before, but it's sherliam from moriarty the patriot.

I've mentioned this to friends before, but we totally need a TGCF hosptial au. Mu Qing is a surgeon, Feng Xin is a physiotherapist, Xie Lian is either a GP or an anesthesiologist, and Hua Cheng is some random reception guy. Mu Qing is always bullying Feng Xin for not being a 'real doctor'. Hualian are married. you see where I'm going.

Ooharano, All Out!. Voice by Ian Sinclair, very good at his sport, hilariously sarcastic. Emotional backstory that was just never mentioned again???

Siatrich Wynknight, The Reason Why Raeliana Ended Up At The Duke's Mansion. Very funny, likes to be a bit evil for the giggles, thinks it's funny when his younger brother endangers national relations. Gay.

V - Which character do you relate to most?

GUYS I HAVE NO IDEA. I'm probably closest to Bokuto or Kageyama - and that seems odd, because they're different people, but that's how I am.'

I guess I've always been interested in the idea of a true morally grey character, because sometimes there are characters that are described as morally grey, or even evil, when they're actually Just A Guy (*cough* Oikawa *cough*). The only character I can think of is probably Dazai from BSD. Everyone has an opinion and very few of them are correct. There is no way you can say he is a bad person, because many of his issues come from the fact that he is an orphan, raised by the mafia, and someone who took the opportunity to leave when prompted. Also, in his life after the mafia, he made a genuine effort to make good on his promises and fix his life, including saving Atsushi.

HOWEVER, you can't say he's a totally good person. He lived well in the mafia, because he didn't care about killing people and perhaps even enjoyed it, depending on how you view certain scenes. Many people would say that he's still not on anyone's side, he's only on his own side. This is debatable, but it's still there. PLUS you've got his continuation of the cycle of abuse through Akutagawa, and his willingness to pretend to betray his friends in order to get the outcome he wants. Everyone else is just a pawn to him.

I'm still undecided on him, but I'm proud of every fan that says "he's morally grey" rather than cutting it up into black and white. Remember that BSD was written for the stray dogs, not the ones who have lived happily all this time...

Seungkwan (aka angry dandelion spore) drinking his iced Americano out of a wine glass after having a rough morning in the kitchen is a MOOD.

I'm glad that Minghao reminds us that even though he's transcended to a place of mindfulness and meditation, he's still a normal dude. He was imparting wisdom upon DK about seeking normal, everyday happiness rather than fleeting stimulation, but then when DK suggests they go ATV-ing he happily cuts the tea ceremony short LOL.

I've really been enjoying seeing Seungkwan and Dino's interactions, whether they're betting for their lives on who has to wash the dishes or doing stretches together. They're really like brothers!

Shoutout to Dino and DK for looking particularly fine while working out this week. DK is so ripped now omg.

I already know but am always reminded of how ~domestic~ Mingyu is. I love seeing him cook for the members.

Hoshi mentioning Haikyuu during their hilarious volleyball-ish game made my little weeb heart so happy! I knew Woozi is a huge anime fan but Hoshi is my bias and Haikyuu is one of my favorite series.

Again, Vernon?? Hiking in jeans??? He really marches to the beat of his own drum. But also the mountain that they went to (Cheongnyangsan Provincial Park 청량산도립공원 for future reference) looks gorgeous in autumn.

Wonwoo greeting his mother at the temple and Coups being there to give him a comforting gesture and tell him good job... *crying* It's beautiful, intimate moments like this that show just how wonderful Seventeen is, as individuals and together.

I wonder who's getting an egg cracked on their head in the sauna next week!
