Here’s a tournament for characters whose secondary ability seems to be how quickly they adopt children. To qualify for this tournament, a character must have at least two kids who are not blood related. For the purposes of this poll, adoption does not have to be legal, it can be emotional, or even just a headcanon. We are all fans of found family here.

Submissions will stay open until October 23, 12 pm CST, or until I say otherwise!

Propaganda is encouraged! It will be reblogged judiciously, yet often.

For the sake of your mod’s mental health, please keep all propaganda PG-13!

Automatic submissions due to mod bias include Optimus Prime of the Transformers franchise, and Kanan Jarrus/Hera Syndulla of Star Wars: Rebels. However, I will not be writing propaganda for them, so you may submit these characters to include that!

I ask that, if possible, you submit parents individually. However, as one of my own entries is a couple, I’m not gonna hold fast to that rule. Just tell me why you decided to submit them as a pair or group

Be nice! Though I will accept counter propaganda, I do reserve the right to block users who are not being civil, or disqualify a character whose fans are being toxic. (With that being said, I will be turning off anon messages.)

Ultimate friends to lovers. They've been best friends since childhood but as they start to grow up, those feelings change into a more romantic nature but neither handles this well. Riku in particular has a whole villain arc about it bc his insecurities about the situation get the better of him, meanwhile Sora isn't self aware enough to recognize his feelings are romantic in nature but he spends all of his time desperately trying to get Riku back so they can be together again. Ultimately even after they come together, their love continues to be a main driving force of the narrative and it's so palpable

They’re rivals yes, but first and foremost they’re best friends. They know each other better than anyone. Sanji asked Zoro to kill him if he’s ever not himself (long story), the implication being that Zoro knows him so well he’d be the first to tell (he would). They are the first ship that comes to mind when I think of friends to lovers. I know Free! hasn't been popular since 2013, bug I just love them so much... Makoto's devotion to Haru. There's even a movie that flashes back to when they're kids when Makoto says "I love swimming and I love Haruka". Soft..

1. their ship name is literally a form of poetry (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Renga) and it's a type of poem written by multiple poets SO REKI AND LANGA ARE THE POETS WHO WRITE THEIR OWN POETRY TOGETHER 

2. they got along almost immediately after they met, and they found their reason for living together with each other via skateboarding!!! and they're best friends because they "get" each other like nobody else does!!! LIKE THE BEST KIND OF LOVE IS THE ONE WHERE YOU'RE BEST FRIENDS WITH EACH OTHER!!!

3. langa literally says "there's no meaning to skating if i can't do it with you" to reki AND IF THAT ISN'T THE SWEETEST THING EVER!!! and reki literally studies langa's way of skating to design a skateboard that fits perfectly to his snowboarder style AND HE GETS SO EXCITED TO SHOW LANGA IT!!!

4. they have their own fist bump that forms an infinity symbol which means that their love lasts forever and it's the loviest of lovey doves ur honor <3

5. they literally have a blue (langa) x red (reki) aesthetic WHICH IS OPPOSITES ATTRACT!!! they're also the cool guy x ray of sunshine,,, cat energy x dog energy tropes. also the "rambles for hours" x "listens happily" trope.

6. THEY WAKE UP AT ASS O' CLOCK IN THE MORNING JUST TO SEE EACH OTHER BEFORE SCHOOL AND SKATE TOGETHER AND THEY SNEAK OUT OF THEIR HOUSES TO STAY OUT LATE INTO THE NIGHT AND SPEND MORE TIME WITH EACH OTHER!!!! WHAT KIND OF TEENAGERS SACRIFICE THEIR SLEEP TIME IF NOT FOR THE ONE THEY LOVE???

zosan propaganda: their relationship parallels their relationships with the most important people in their lives, the people they each care the most about. kuina and sanji are similar people, and zoro and zeff are similar people.

this results in sanji and zoro pretending to hate each other as affection, something sanji knows REALLY well. however, it's clear they love each other, as sanji has outright put his life in zoro's hands, and zoro has almost died for the crew more times than i can count, but his relationship with sanji is often highlighted in the times where he's closest to death.

i could honestly go on even longer, but my point is that their relationship is absurdly fun and they clearly care a lot about each other.

some zosan propaganda!!

i know everyone talks about them being rivals but at the end of the day they are nakama they are the wings of the pirate king they complete each other and balance each other out. there is an insane amount of respect between the two of them but its something you need to look between the lines of their arguing. they would die for each other because theyre nakama theyre crew theyre family and thats the most important thing. it doesnt matter what happens, they will have each others backs and theyre both the protectors of the crew. zoro in the traditional sense with it being his role in the crew. sanji (along with chopper) protects them by taking care of them, by feeding them. theyre friends and their two wings and theyre the protectors and theyre just. So Good.

Submit murder husbands and wives for the upcoming gay wrongs poll (coming after the current poll finishes!)

To qualify for this poll, a couple must do bad things together. They don't have to be evil and it doesn't have to be actual murder, but 'murder husbands and wives' are defined as 'gay people who committed crimes'.

Canon couples are best, but as long as there's sufficient crime and homoeroticism I see no reason to not submit [insert non-canon ship you like].

Louis and Lestat from Interview with the vampire and Kinn and Porsche from Kinnporsche are included automatically since they were my main inspiration for this poll. Feel free to still submit propaganda for them if you want to!

I reserve the right to disqualify a submission if I'm uncomfortable with the source material (for example if the author of [media your characters are from] is racist/transphobic/etc).

Makoharu - Of all the pairs shown, for me, MH is the pinnacle of devotion, trust, compatibility, respect, acceptance of one another, intuitive understanding of the other's needs, and let's not forget their chemistry is through the roof. There are lots of ships to love in the Free! series, but even Kyoto Animation recognized Makoto and Haruka's relationship as singular, promoting it as a romantic relationship without ever saying it out loud.
