Hestia was the Greek virgin Goddess of the hearth, home, and hospitality. In Greek mythology, she is the eldest daughter of Kronos & Rhea. In her role as a protector of the family and political community, sacrifices and offerings were regularly made to Hestia at the hearth within each private home and at the town or city’s communal hearth. In some myths, the goddess voluntarily relinquished her place amongst the gods on Mount Olympus, swapping with Dionysus, because she prefers to withdraw form godly affairs and it sure of a fond welcome in any mortal city she chooses.

This is a full library of scholarly resources, UPG’s, and other helpful info concerning witchcraft, deities, and practices.
They cite all of their works and pull from many journals and experiences alike. They were accused of stealing info/resources a while back and doxed. HOWEVER, it was because a creator kept changing their username and they couldn’t credit them. So, they do cite every single thing they use.
They also have different wings, just like a library. Where you can go in and ask specific questions and find lots of info. You can even ask their staff if you have a question and connect with other users! Their discord is truly massive and a very welcoming place.

But as my gaze swept through the forest my eyes landed on a bush of gracious little pink flowers that I recognized immediately. Oleanders. Delicate, pretty, but that could kill a grown man easily with their poison. Drinking honey from bees that pollinated these flowers could already make someone sick by itself. I gently touched them, the soft surface of the petals tickling against my hand. Petals so small and light yet that carried so much power. An idea crossed my mind, one too dark for me to even express, a feverish and dangerous thought. I brushed it off.I gave one more look at the darkness, because despite it all I wanted to see him again. My whole body urged to feel his presence, even if just for a very brief moment. I turned around, sighing in disappointment. Nothing stared back at me, and so I was alone again. Or, at least, I thought I was.

“I’d walk in this forest and catch myself walking towards camp. Towards you.” He continued, running his hands across my back. “No matter what corporeal form I take or what happens to me, my soul will always seek yours. I accept that now. It could never have been different and I regret ever suggesting such a thing.”

Spanakopita

Kolejny zabytek, chyba sprzed roku, a może już dwóch lat? Wspominam ją czule, bo udała się wyśmienicie. Z zewnątrz krucha i chrupiąca, w środku soczysta i nieblada w smaku (nie lubię mdłego, nijakiego jedzenia).
Zrobiłam ją, bo uwielbiam szpinak, a w warzywniaku trafiłam na wielki intensywnie zielony bukiet tej rośliny. Grzech było nie brać!
Połączyłam ją z porem, bo choć spanakopita kojarzy się wyłącznie ze szpinakiem (spanako - σπανάκι to z greckiego szpinak, a pita - πίτα ciasto), to do farszu dodaje się także inne warzywa liściaste. Por, boćwina lub szczaw są najpopularniejszymi. Co ciekawe, do tradycyjnej zapiekanki wrzuca się także sporo ziół, m.in. koper, miętę i nać pietruszki, które wzbogacają jej smak i aromat. Całość zamyka się kolejno w naoliwionych płatach ciasta filo.
Nie obawiajcie się tego delikatnego, cienkiego jak pergamin ciasta, które narodziło się w kuchni osmańskich Turków. Choć faktycznie jest nieco wymagające, a jego natłuszczanie potrzebuje nieco cierpliwości, to produkt dla każdego. Zatapianie w nim zębów, to prawdziwa przyjemność!
Często, ale wcale nie obowiązkowo, do spanakopity dodaje się fetę, albo twardy owczy lub kozi ser kefalotiri (przypomina Pecorino Romano lub Parmezan), wówczas nazwa się ją spanakotiropitą (σπανακοτυρόπιτα). Ta nazwa popularna jest zwłaszcza w północnej Grecji, bo na południu obie wersje zwą się spanakopita. Opcja bez sera i jaj spożywana jest podczas postów religijnych w całej Grecji.

Składniki:
duży pęczek szpinaku biało-zielona część pora średnia cebula (lub kilka gałązek szczypioru) 3 duże jaja 150 g Fety 1/3 szklanki tartego Parmezanu (lub Cheddara) 3 gałązki bazylii 2 gałązki mięty 4 gałązki kopru skórka z 1 cytryny 2 ząbki czosnku 1/2 łyżeczki płatków chili chlust oliwy z oliwek e.v. 1/3 łyżeczki gałki muszkatołowej sól i czarny pieprz do smaku 12-18 arkuszy mrożonego ciasta filo 1/2 kostki masła łyżka białego sezamu
Wykonanie:
Rozgrzać piekarnik do 190°C. Ciasto wyjąć z lodówki.
Okrągłą blachę do pieczenia wyłożyć dokładnie papierem do pieczenia.
Obrać i pokroić w kosteczkę cebulę. Obrać i maksymalnie rozdrobnić czosnek. Obrać z wierzchnich liści, odciąć końcówki pora (zieloną część można zachować do zupy), dokładnie umyć i pokroić w talarki. Szpinak opłukać i posiekać niezbyt drobno (łodyżki drobniej). Zioła opłukać, otrzepać i z grubsza pokroić.
Na dużej patelni rozgrzać oliwę. Podsmażyć cebulę do momentu gdy będzie miękka i złocista. Dodać czosnek i smażyć kolejne dwie minuty. Wrzucić pora, dusić, mieszając aż straci pierwszą twardość. Partiami dodawać szpinak i również dusić, aż zwiędnie. Ostudzić, następnie przełożyć do miski (pozostawiając nadmiar płynu ze szpinaku) i wymieszać z ziołami, jajami, pokruszoną Fetą, tartym twardym serem, gałką muszkatołową i doprawić do smaku (nie żałować pieprzu!).
W foremce delikatnie, aby nie rozerwać, ułożyć arkusz ciasta filo i opędzlować roztopionym masłem. Powtórzyć, układając kolejne warstwy tak, aby z każdej strony był zapas (w słoneczko). I tak do wyczerpania wszystkich arkuszy ciasta. Jeśli mamy go dużo, możemy 2-3 ostatnie lekko zgnieść i wypełnić nimi środek. Całość obsypać sezamem.
Wstawić do piekarnika i piec przez 45-50 minut, aż ciasto będzie złociste. Podawać na ciepło lub w temperaturze pokojowej.
