Hey yall, I still need help. Capitalism is a bitch.

Without a car, getting to and from work is more complicated. Public transportation here is... lacking. And sometimes nonexistent like on Sunday nights.

With my schedule and being a manager, I sometimes miss the bus since I can't just bounce before closing tasks are done, in order to make it on time.

Im down to just 10$ total until the 27th, and I still need 70$ for my phone bill thats due the 22nd, and I need to eat and buy coffee.

I'm not getting paid on time because of a payroll issue at my job due to a cyber attack that fucked with our systems.

Our payroll system was changed and I was not notified by Payroll that our direct deposits would be late, and my mother in law already sent the rent check out (why???)

These people do not like me and if I do not give them money they will give me hell over something I cannot control. My in laws are vindictive people who do not understand mental illness or my problems and only care about themselves and only let me stay here because I give them money. My partner and I cannot afford to move out right now, and my mother in the state I am from is not able to take us in. And honestly my bf is such a mamas boy. Hi! My name is Márcia and I am 24 years old. I am currently in my journey through an administration professional course. A paid course who helps people struggling with their professional career and opens new opportunities in the job market. Before I was in college but unfortunately couldn't complete my graduation due to various health and financial problems, I had to pay for two dental surgeries in a short time and my mental health got worse. I also struggle with severe anxiety, insomnia and depression, I can't concentrate on subjects by myself, I can't sleep without interruptions, I have many panic and anxiety attacks during my daily life and need metrication to control all of it. After quitting college I managed to get a shady job for a while which helped pay my bills and to get help from a therapist who I am currently being followed by, but recently I lost my job and my money isn't much to keep up with bills, therapy and especially medication. My family is out of the picture, the only two people who truly helped me were my grandparents but unfortunately they're gone and my mother doesn't believe in my mental illness, says I'm just lazy, not interested in my life and that I am just living off my girlfriend. The only person that has helped me after my grandparents is my partner, but I don't want to keep asking her for money not because of what my mother says but because I know she also needs it for her own expenses and medication because she too suffers from chronic depression, needs medication and therapy and without those she is unable to do her job, I don't want her to neglect what she needs and risk losing the only job supporting us. It's really difficult to get a job without a degree where I live and when I do it's only temporary, 1-3 months maximum. But now that I have saved a little and I am stable I wanted to try again and finish my studies but I need help playing the long term bills. Our kitten Shrimp had an emergency and almost went into cardiac arrest yesterday. He's slowly recovering and is spending two nights at the vet's, as they believe it may be pneumonia, but he's so little that they can't run the usual tests.

looking at (vetted) gofundmes for people trying to escape palestine and i don't know how many of you actually click on the gofundme links you reblog but i would like to point out, for what it's worth, just how amazing it is that so many have raised so much money. it may overall feel like a drop in the ocean but the fact that several gofundmes have raised tens of thousands of dollars is amazing. it is so expensive to leave gaza right now, and people still need money after they escape. but regardless of what propaganda the US, UK, canada, and other western nations are trying to pump out, people across the world are doing what they can to help these people survive. many of them are still very far from their goals (like this one and this one and this one) and some of them are very close to high goals (like this one), and some of them have reached almost double their original goal.

and that's not even addressing direct aid or organizations that take continuous donations for distribution of food, menstrual products, etc. the PCRF has raised $16,000,000 of their target goal of $20,000,000 to fund current aid and long-term relief efforts in gaza. ANERA's febuary 13th update discusses the material ways they helped palestinians today:

my point is, it often feels like the world is turning a blind eye to palestine. but i would like to point out that there is an important difference between "the world" and "western political leaders and media narratives". a breathtaking amount of real people, the people who make up the world, are trying to help. in the face of israel attempting to commit genocide, the world is saying No. These people deserve to live. and literally sending millions of dollars internationally, through the internet connection that israel has desperately been trying to destroy.

it may not feel like it matters in the grand scheme of things. but to the people who get fresh clothes, or a hot meal, or blankets, or the kids who get new toys, or to the people who are able to bring their families to safety, it matters to them. go make someone's day better. i've linked so many options with ways to do that.

I decided to start this campaign with all the hope that you could support me in evacuating Gaza to do surgery for me and my daughter and start a fresh life with my 5 kids out of the ongoing genocide in Gaza [...] I was supposed to go out at the end of 2023 to have surgery on my knees but since 7 October, I had no chance due to the procedures on Rafah crossing, the gate of Gazans to the world. Now, my knees and elbows are bleeding with no access to any type of care and if things stand as they are in Gaza, I won’t be able to walk or make any effort because of the bleeding (currently I am barely able to set up a small fire in front of the tent to prepare food for my kids).

Just saw a £65 padlock necklace advertised to me bitch Fuck you go to your nearest weird little shop that sells everything in the world including fake Rolexes and bongs the size of a toddler. Buy a thing of chain and a padlock. Borrow some bolt cutters someone you know will probably own some and if not get some cheap ones or borrow from a local tool library. Slap em together. Maximum cost £30 and that's MAXIMUM that's assuming you bought over a metre of expensive heavy chain AND bought the bolt cutters. You can do it for under a fiver with a wallet chain and pliers. I still wear a necklace I made when I was 15 out of a wallet chain and pliers and a padlock I got in a set of 3 from poundland. If the issue is dexterity or otherwise disability related then find a friend and swap a favour with them it'll still be cheaper than these scamming poser companies and will help you build community and share resources. You want some serious old fart advice? Never, ever lend your friends more money than you think you can lose permanently. I don't fucking care if they say they'll pay you back. I don't care how small the amount is. Write that shit off as gone in your mind. It will eat at you forever if you don't.

Some people say the same thing about family, but I think it applies more to friends. Family is (usually) held together by obligations the way friends aren't. And money is a huge stressor in all kinds of relationships, not just romantic.

I'm not saying this to bum you out. I'm telling you because this is not something you want to learn on your own. Because it fucking sucks to realize it's one reason you're no longer friends, whether you were necessarily aware of it or not.
