You told him you have to head back home. It's getting late and you did what he told you. All of them.

Cyprus started with asking you to help clean up the table while he took a shower. You agreed, thinking you could take your belongings and leave while he's busy. But only your bag was present, you later found out that he brought your precious wallet into the bathroom with him.

He then told you to take a shower too. You locked your door and even jammed the knob with the mop that's in there.

The next one was to wear one of his oversized shirts. The one that's similar to what you woke up with last Friday.

Then, he told you to give him a 30 second hug. You couldn't push him away or let go, or else he's going to reset the timer. You're tired from jumping, trying to reach the wallet. You couldn't even kick him in the groin with his lightning reflex.

So you did. You wrapped your arms around him and braced for whatever he has next. Only to flinch away when he tucked his calloused hand under your clothes, roaming his digits on your bare back and toying with the hook of your bra.

You shouted at him, feeling angry and violated. He simply rolled his eyes, called you dramatic and walked away, stowing your wallet in his pocket.

You contemplated calling the police and making them deal with him. Then you realize that he managed to snatch your phone again.

You ended up doing the 30 seconds. The entire time, he was licking the nape of your neck, groping you everywhere and grinding his crotch against yours. You cried hot tears when he slipped his hand into your underwear, caressing the vulnerable flesh underneath.

That's what got you lounging next to him on the couch as he surfs the channels. He told you that you'll earn your phone back after this.

He yawned, turning his head to give you a peck. "No. I don't think you did enough to earn it."

You let out an exasperated cry, asking him what else he wanted from you.

He stared at your face for a bit before chuckling to himself. "Cute."

You complained, whined and hit his chest with considerable force. Yet he wouldn't budge his hand from your rear.

"Princess, look at me." Commanded Cyprus as he took his glasses off. You did as you were told.

"Stay the night." He whispered before kissing you on the lips. "We could cuddle." He slid his soft, and supple pair of lips down to your neck, to the spot where he knew would make you moan the loudest.

"Or we could have fun 'till the sun rises." He breathed into your ear huskily, giving your ass a squeeze and your neck a suckle.

You whined and mewled, trying to push him off you weakly but it felt embarrassingly good. Toes were curled and cheeks were heating up while he slipped his hands under the large T-shirt, feeling every square inch of your skin.

You shoved him off you when he managed to unclasp your bra. Hands were crossed in front of your chest as you moved away as far from him as possible.

You asked if you stayed the night, he will give everything back to you in the morning.

Cyprus rolled his eyes. "Sure." His hand shot out to grab you by the wrist, he yanked you towards him, making you stumble over yourself and nearly losing your balance.

He seized this opportunity to scoop you off your feet, carrying you in his strong, muscular and veiny arms effortlessly.

No matter how many times you protested or tried to hit him, Cyprus ignored you and kept walking on.

He used his foot to close the door behind him.

You were stressing over the number of eyes on you today. Cyprus was holding you by the waist as you and him ascended the elevator.

Seeing that Jane is there, souring the carefree mood of the office for everyone, Cyprus also scowled.

He clocked in for the both of you before escorting you to your cubicle, dropping your suitcase off as well. Your manager was burning holes into him, curious about the relationship between her most difficult employee and her most hardworking (yet spineless) one.

Her eyebrows cocked upwards when Cyprus pressed a kiss onto your forehead before ruffling your hair into a bird's nest.

She was mostly surprised at first, even amused. But when she saw the time that you arrived, her expression darkened. Cyprus has infected you with his disease, you would usually come in much earlier than this.

She does not need another "slacker" in the office to spread their bad influence.

She opened her mouth to comment about something to you. Sighing, you expected this to happen, it comes with the package of "dating" Cyprus.

"You got a minute, Jane?" The dreaded confrontation was interrupted by Cyprus's sudden interjection.

He led Jane into the conference room, where the frosted glass and soundproof walls gave them the much-needed privacy.

You're grateful that he pulled her away for whatever business he needs to talk about. Now, you could focus on your work, getting as much done before she comes out and starts biting your head off.

You were too engrossed in your work to notice that she came out looking quite shaken. As if she had seen a ghost.

Jane had walked away, leaving your department to work on their own without her soul killing micromanaging. Deciding to exert her power onto some other floor.

You asked Cyprus what he told her.

You asked where it is.

"Can't tell you. Won't tell you."

You said how could you attend if you don't even know where the venue is. He clicked his tongue in slight annoyance.

"I'm driving you there anyways, why would you need to know anything when I'll take care of everything?" He placed a hand on his hip as he leaned against your cubicle wall.

You asked what time it would be.

"Just get ready when I tell you to."

You said that you don't check your phone often. You need a set time when he would pick you up, should you agree to come and watch him fight his poor opponent.

"Who said you'll be getting ready at your place?" He smirked.

You said you're not going back to his place.

He displayed mock hurt, he pouted and whined softly to tease you. "You're so mean, baby."

You repeated that you're not going back to his place again.

"I guess you won't be needing this anymore then." he pulled out your ID from his back pocket.

You tried to swipe it from him as usual, but you failed. You looked up at him.

"You know the drill, pretty girl." He brought his face close to yours.

You thought about your choices. You're curious, wondering what made The Jane of your department scared shitless. You're also curious as to how a boxing match look in real life. Finally, you need your ID.

However, you could always make a new one and claim you lost it. It's not like you need your ID urgently, plus, it could send Cyprus a message that you're willing to go through this much hassle to get away from him.

You took a deep breath when you're ready to say your answer.

okay this is gonna be my general reaction post for episodes 2-4 of the reboot, so spoilers are UNDER. THE. CUT.

okay so one: I have never been more conflicted about a ship in my fucking life

on the one hand, no, not in a million years, what are the writers thinking, what insanity is this, I'm so confused and not in a good way at all

And when they get there she goes dogeza(because girl is desperate and knows that lil shit gunning for her position will not only do a shit job as Noriyuki's right hand but definitely has the vibes of turncoat for self-preservation and so she needs this marriage) asking them to marry her

And they're like um, who are you asking????

Because the way they're positioned it looks like she's proposing to Kenichi, who is y'know married to Mariko(i wanted this to be pre-marriage but then i remembered Jotaro so sacrifices must be made for best boi)

And she doubles down "the three of you, a polyandrous marriage."

"WHAT!?"-childhood friends gang

Then she explains how it's to prevent a plot to weaken her lords court etc etc maybe some other stuff too to convince Kenichi and Mariko(Usagi is always down to help his friends, he's lied to shogunate spies and cops to protect himself or his buddies, ride or die)

A (reluctant) agreement is made and they do the wedding

Now it's basically

Mariko: Bi-crisis ⁄⁠(⁠⁄⁠ ⁠⁄⁠•⁠⁄×⁄⁠•⁠⁄⁠ ⁠⁄⁠)⁠⁄ women...hot?????(living out her teenage fantasy)

In summation: Tomoe Ame is living in drama/action/romance anime while everyone else is in a romance/comedy/slice of life anime

Apollo:

Favorite thing about them: I know it kind of applies to all the MCs, but he is sooo... cringefail. And I love that about him. Like idk he's just so sweaty and vaguely unwell all the time and I think it's charming that he's constantly convincing himself he's Totally Cool Totally Fine Just Absolutely Fine. I also like that he can't help but be kinda mean. Not that he is a mean character, just that he has the most shit-tier filter when it comes to talking to people. I love how often he says shit he shouldn't to people, it's funny as hell to me. I love him Least favorite thing about them: He's really boring until Spirit of Justice. At least to me personally. He's like cardboard in AJ, and I don't... care about his arc at all in DD lol. Spirit of Justice may have slapped another backstory onto this bitch, and while it's silly, I think it works the best because now at least we have SOME understanding of his background. And I like his dynamics with the Khura'in crew a lot. Favorite line: idk... I don't really pay mind to people's lines. But the bit in Turnabout for Tomorrow where he says he finally trusts Athena is fun. I also like that bit in 6-5: "If you committed a crime, you'd better be ready to do the time. Be you a priest, a saint, a queen or a god." That goes pretty hard. Like bro he fucking rules during Turnabout Revolution it's crazy, he's the star of that trial for sure. The star he should've been in this trilogy all along. brOTP: Him and Athena are iconic together. I like him and Trucy for sure, but Athena really brings out some great stuff in his personality. They are so damn funny together, and you really get the impression they care about each other a lot despite the constant teasing and the rivalry. OTP: I generally don't ship Apollo with anyone because I headcanon him as aroace, but if I was going to pick a ship, I like Justicykes, I admit. I think it could be a cute ship and they already have a terrific dynamic together. But yeah. nOTP: Since I already said Nahyuta/Apollo when I did Yuty's, I guess barring ships like him and Trucy which are a given for me, I don't really care for Klavier/Apollo because I feel they have no chemistry. Like. At all. Like for anything KRKJFN The writing between them in AA4 is so Nothing to me, so idk, I just don't see it. It's not a bad ship and I understand why people like it, but it didn't click with me-- but it probably also didn't click because I don't particularly like Klavier to begin with. I don't think he's very interesting. Random headcanon: Uhhh idk! Let's see... I do headcanon Apollo as a trans man, and since I also headcanon Yuty as trans, I guess like... I like the idea of them playing games as boys when they were kids because they don't have the language or knowledge to understand why neither of them are particularly happy with being viewed as girls, so it was a little secret thing that they encouraged for each other because it made them happy. They understood when no one else did. And then they reunite 15 years later, see the other has transitioned, and thinks, "That explains a lot" lol. Unpopular opinion: His SOJ backstory is stupid as fuck but I actually also think it's great and the best thing they've done with his backstory so far, especially since they have continued to not tell Apollo and Trucy that they're siblings (though yes, I know, the ending of SOJ implies Thalassa and Phoenix are finally going to tell them). It's the first time I had a good grasp on his background, and I think his dynamic with Dhurke, Nahyuta, and Datz is legit great. Song I associate with them: I don't think I've ever thought about it. Everything is Fine by Qbomb could be good for him, but it's also very intense, probably too much even for him. But I'll go with that. Favorite picture of them: I love his grin, it's adorable

Athena:

Favorite thing about them: Her personality!!! I love how bombastic she is, I love how much emotion they put into her animations and everything. I love how much she cares about people, she's so ride or die and hardworking even when people underestimate her or look down on her. It makes her a really endearing character. I worried if I'd like her when I first started DD, but she's honestly awesome. She's my favorite protag from the new trilogy, though Apollo is not very far behind. Least favorite thing about them: I wish she wasn't so young sometimes. Like I find it weird that the newer games veer so much towards people becoming lawyers fresh out of high school, and even for someone as smart as her, I'm just like... you can't make her 20 at least or something? And I feel like the only reason she's even 18 in DD is because the assistant characters have to be a teen girl. Like. Yknow lol.

I also thought it was kind of annoying how 6-4 kept pushing her being a kid when basically nobody ever talked to her like that before. It felt like they just needed more conflict so threw in suddenly everyone being like "she's just a little BABY GIRL who doesn't KNOW NOTHIN" and I thought it was a touch lame. But not too intrusive, really. At least someone started recognizing she's young as hell, lol. Favorite line: Everything she says is iconic. How am I supposed to pick. Yeah I honestly don't know lol brOTP: Her and Simon are legendary together. Their dynamic is so fuckin funny and endearing to me. It's one of the highlights of DD and the highlight of Turnabout Storyteller. I never knew her and Blackquill were connected before I played DD, albeit I basically never saw anything new trilogy content so it surprised me, but I love them. The siblings of all time OTP: Justicykes, I guess? idk. I don't really ship for her. I'm not even certain what my headcanons for her sexuality are to begin with. I could see her as a lesbian, but I could see her as pan, but I could see her as aro, so on. Her and Juniper is cute too, I just feel like their dynamic isn't fleshed out enough, but that's kinda par for the course in DD. But I can vibe with it. nOTP: Her and Blackquill romantically. Like sorry, but you have fundamentally misunderstood their dynamic. I feel strongly about that. I can't explain it, but it really feels like it misses the point of their dynamic and what makes the dynamic great, but idk. Also it's just Weird for a lot of reasons. Random headcanon: (guy who makes every character he likes trans voice) I Think She's Trans. Also love her being taller than Apollo, I'll go with that hc like the rest of us. Unpopular opinion: I dunno. I think she's a mixed bag to a lot of people because of how DD pivoted so aggressviely away from AA4's vision and direction, which makes it tough for me to determine what an unpopular opinion with her would be, beyond that, like, she really needs her own game. I'd say DD is her game, but we need one where she's in the driver's seat and leading the story on her own. I don't want to see Phoenix or Apollo helping her anymore I'm sick of it KRKF

hey girl, ever have breakdowns and the only way you can somehow hold yourself back from going full insane is thinking back to all the shitty videogames you consume in the comfort of your own room? if so then you have something in common with her !1!1! hasashgihasg breakdown (videogame flavored)

I'll go a bit more in depth on him under the cut since I figured we changed quite a tad about her and I want to spread wisdom (our AU) to the world

So I'll start with design choices and then I'll move to his general character ヾ(≧▽≦*)o So:

The things coming out from his neck are antennae! they make her have really good hearing which SUCKS when you are overwhelmed (which she is, always) so rip!

His eyes have no pupil because arthropods and insects have them freaky eyes now <3

He has blue and red dyed hair to match the animatronics color scheme (thought the red is not very obvious here since he's tilting his head), though the white bits of his hair are not actually dyed! they are like that because he's a ladybug and they have those white spots on the sides of their little heads!

-His hands are segmented like that because of an arbitrary rule I made to make arthropods more recognizable amongst them bears and foxes and allat, since a arthropods are segmented I applied that to their articulations! fun fact, insects like Loon or Cami (We made her a mantis I'm sorry) have a division on their neck, while arthropods that are NOT insects, like Owynn, completely lack that! that's because insects are divided in 3 parts (head thorax and abdomen) arachnids are divided in 2 (thorax and abdomen) ((not exactly called that but semantics)).

-He has little ladybug earrings and actually he matches with Malva!(Usagi) ((we changed her name lol)) ((her last name is visco haha get it malva-visco))

-In general I made his hair darker, gave him a bit of acne amongst the freckles and made him more tan because we love melanin in this house

Now for,, character changes,,,

So first of all, he/she swag, bigender, Loon when masc and JJ when fem though it fluctuates too, good for her gettem. We obliterated that Malva crush, gone, exploded into pieces, and also she's ecuadorian now, gettem.

We turned that pathetic nervous shy thing of his into something way worse </3 She is still introverted and all that, but the main thing is that she does not like going outside! gamer goes outside challenge impossible, she does NOT like leaving his house shut-in guy who if outside for long enough has a breakdown, clings to Malva because they are best friends and she's like "safe" she's like a safe zone. Loon cannot function in social/public settings at all and just clings, which is also why a lot of people mistake him as "having a crush on her" even though they are a bajillion percent platonic

He's a bit of a cringefail loser and also a bit creepy lmao, always on her phone always trying to zone the hell out and think about a silly videogame, but also just nosy, hit antennae and insect stuff lets him 1) look wherever without people being able to tell, and 2) listen to stuff. So yeah, his ass sorta psychoanalyzes people and snoops through stuff to kinda distract herself from the horrors of being outside, which is why in this AU she's dating Owynn T-T sorta like the animatronic she isn't like actually out to get you, but instead acts like some sort of aid for the real enemy, which is Owynn, so yeah. Enabler and snoops through shit AKA has good info for Owynn's insane as shit ideas, insane of her but whatever.

Also given how in this Au we cranked the animal motifs to a thousand, being a little "bug" and then being next to like, a bear is terrifying to her, so besides being scared of just existing outside, she's also scared of people as a whole because little insect vs big animal, rip.

Bro I wanna write a Soap x Trophy fic, I need someone to help smoothen out their dynamic.

Are they just the usual "Good girl x Jock" or "I can fix him"?

Alright! Here's something from a personal perspective and on how I imagine their dynamic to be (without Limegold Jokes in the way cause I do hc that Trophy is just some guy after he's with people he loves + had so much trouble getting with), if it comes to a Trophy that still needs to become a better person and Soap who has a generally kind view of others, here's how I'd say it would go + some notes.

Soaphy's Dynamic with Pre-Redemption/Half-Way-Through-Redemption Trophy.

Trophy is NOT a jerk, he is a jock. Most stuff I've seen of him? Trophy being a complete asshole, when that's really not quite true. Of course there's definitely some anger issues he has to work through and he needs to get more comfortable with being himself rather than a stereotype (in a harmful way to himself and others), but here's also the thing. He DID got better once he arrived to Hotel OJ, he still picks up on Cheesy and such, but he's not an complete bitch to begin with.

He's "softer", more relaxed, he's not focused on winning or anything because there isn't a prize. He seems to prefer being alone if anything! He likes photography and finds butterflies nice! He eats cacao nibs and drinks herbal tea and takes care of himself! But he's still pretty strong and most likely works out! Just... doesn't know how to get close to anyone because there's an image he has to put, and can still be pretty mean/rough at times. But he does seem to be just. A bit chill nowdays.

Now, Soap. Oh, Soap. Despite the fact that in my own opinion she was under-developed, and doesn't really bring out too much for her character other than her obsession with cleaning and some scenes, there's still something I like about her. She's sweet and kind, considerate and gentle. She cares about others well-being! And she cares so SO much about everything being on place. But she's not only sweet and kind. She ALSO has a strong attitude because she won't let anyone put her down by any means, and if stressed enough, she shows to be pretty strong and to react out of spite. However most of times she's just chilling.

This two personalities are so different yet match well in a way. There's nothing that they share but just finding a comfort on eachother on a very very weird way. I wouldn't say that it's "good girl x jock" or "i can fix him", but rather a, "i want to become a better person for you and i don't know why and i hate it x oh thank you", in a slowburn type of way.

Because Trophy isn't mean/rough to Soap at all, and I'll put an small scene they had together for an example! When Tissues sneezed on Trophy, Trophy was certainly frustrated/disgusted, until Soap made her way to him and 'polished' Trophy (cleaned him from the bacteries), and Trophy doesn't push her away or anything. He just. Stares at her and seems a bit awkward. But he's not mad or anything, he just lets her do so.

Their dynamic is complicated to be fair. They're complete opposites but still somehow managed to hang out well. I think that they would start off very awkwardly until Trophy starts becoming a better guy for Soap and he doesn't know why. Soap doesn't want to fix him, but rather wants to show him that he can be a better person if he truly wants to. Trophy is very much in denial but still thinks about it at times as well.

But that's how I see them too. It's completely fine if they are a jock x good girl or i can fix him for you! But it's how I think their dynamic would work out as well? At least on this settling of not fully redeemed Trophy?

if it were fully redeemed Trophy i'm so certain that he would be so cringefail and in love with her and he sucks so bad at approaching those feelings. and soap is oblivious. "hahaha wow you're such a good friend trophy!" "i need to kiss you" "what" "WHAT?" /hj

In my defense, if you saw someone having everything you've ever wanted and just threw it away, wouldn't you be a little mad?

And I know it's selfish and envy is bad or whatever. But he was hurting people. People I love very much. Even himself, i think.

We fought a lot, i told him he was a stupid spoiled child, and he told me i'd never achieve anything even with our parents' money. Then I, uh, said that I was glad he had little youth left because it meant he was gonna die soon.

Yeah... uh... maybe bringing childhood trauma into the divorce thing wasn't a good plan.

And I only realized it later, when he made some crazy internet thing and he was getting detained by the police.

Mari was not coping well, me neither, honestly. We both realized the person we knew was actually just in our heads and that the real person is some cruel stranger. It was almost like grieving.

We fought over the smallest things. Nadia and Simon decided to move to their friend's house. I went back to mine as well, I couldn't take it.

Just like him, I left her all alone. It must run in the family."

"So, yeah, she's probably super mad at me. And doesn't want to be with me ever again"

Beebo tries really hard not to tell her how wrong she is about that

"Well, let's go look for her then! I'll speak on your behalf, so you two dont have to face each other, but the message goes across. Where do you think she is?"

Omg okay so, 🤏🤏🤏 headcanons about Bagi's egg :

• She's a girl!! Idk why I just feel like Bagi with a daughter would be very cute

• I don't actually have any name ideas for her tbh, I guess I'll use Ama as a place holder for now <3

• She is suchhhhh an annoying kid and she has fun with it, she loves doing things specifically to annoy her siblings and worry her tios and tias

• Despite this tho she doesn't like making people UPSET, just annoyed. She doesn't notice the difference between just annoyed vs genuinely stressed out, but if she's told she's upsetting someone she'll stop immediately

• She's both least and most behaved with Bagi. Ama loves Bagi the most, so she acts like a bit of a brat with her but she ultimately always respect her ma and what she asks the most so she'll always, eventually, do what Bagi asks her to do

• She mainly speaks Portuguese!! Even w non pt speakers. She interacts most with Richas, Favela 6, and Roier bc she prefers to speak pt. She knows how to speak english but she doesn't typically do it unless none of her family is with her, and she's alone w people who don't understand portuguese. Otherwise people kinda rely on the tts translation for her

• She likes collecting building blocks and pretty things she thinks Bagi will like!! She also likes collecting things for other favelas people but she gives the most to Bagi :(

• Bagi's paranoia affects Ama in the sense that she REALLY doesn't trust anyone outside of the favela 6 and Richas. She likes all of her tios and tias and siblings but she's a shooter for all of her family and she'll defend them even if they're in the wrong ToT

• She knows Richas is a jealous little egg and she specifically likes annoying him. Not because she dislikes him, but BECAUSE she loves him, she annoys him. He's definitely her favourite sibling tbh, and she feels most comforted and safe with him and Bagi

• She is a menace to animals on that server, she has a habit of killing anything she sees that isn't a pet so if whoever is with her wants any specific mob, they have to get it fast bc she WILL kill it

• Ama is a very strong little egg!! I'd say she has around similar pvp ability as Pac or Roier, she's strong so she can defend her cringefail /affectionate parents <3

• She's very restless, if she's stuck in one place for too long she runs around and punches Bagi or whoever she's with so they can go do something fun

• She likes dungeons and exploring a lot, it's probably her favourite thing to do bc I think she'd be kind of bad at building LOL

• Outside of Bagi, she spends the most time with Forever and Tazercraft!! Her online schedule is late morning - late afternoon so she usually logs in a bit before Bagi and hangs out with Pac and the morning crew before Bagi comes online. When Bagi comes on, Ama obviously goes to her. When Bagi is busy and not giving her attention OR not online she'll go hang out with Forever.

• She is such an enabler with Tazercraft and I imagine she gives them batshit insane ideas to do tbh. I think she'd like seeing them cause problems and has fun helping them build machines and get materials but she kind of just lingers in the area while they're building bc she doesn't really like building

• She likes dragging Forever out to bring her to dungeons and explore because he's the most geared up out of the Favela 6 so she trusts him to keep her alive even tho he's bad at pvp ToT she sees him as a protector and, behind Bagi and Richas, he's someone who makes her feel safest :')

• Ama likes following Richas around when they're together and she's like a shadow to him. He's her big brother, and she adores annoying him for it. He's usually the victim of her brat behavior because being annoying is the best way she expresses love LMAO but ultimately she'd fight the codes and feds for him, and he's one of her favourite people

• Ultimately though she's a mama's girl, she loves and feels safest with Bagi. She likes accompanying Bagi in anything she does, even building. She looks up to Bagi a lot and will argue with anyone for her, even Favelas, even if Bagi is in the wrong simply because Bagi is her mom and it's them against the world :')

• I will stop now bc this is already long and I don't remember what I've already said LOL

It's very long but dw, I really like it! I always saw Bagi having a daughter too, so I really like Ama. I can imagine her trying and failing to drag Bagi to a dungeon (I don't think she ever did one lmao) and bother Forever or Etoiles for it.

I also can see her being really spoiled, especially by Tazercraft.

I think it's really ironic that she's bad at building, since most of the time Bagi feels like she wants an egg because she wants help in building and decorating.

And I can see her bonding with Richas into killing animals and villagers XD

Ok you are going to regret asking this because there’s a Star Wars fic I’m working on at the moment that has been living rent free in my brain for several months now, and given the opportunity I will yell about it in great detail to anyone who asks. Only @nebulouscoffee can attest to how insane I am about this WIP (and shout out to them for helping me flesh out this AU, and for coming up with so many great ideas for it!!! Bugs bunny *our* self-indulgent Star Wars AU etc etc)

Basically, it’s a fic/fic series that’s set in an AU where Padmé is force sensitive and Anakin isn’t, and I’m planning on retelling the entire story of the Star Wars based on that premise (well, the first six movies + The Clone Wars, at least. But I am eyeing the sequel trilogy like a vulture let me tell you because I’m desperate to give those films the AU treatment). It also ends up as a role swap for Luke and Leia as well, with Leia being raised on Tatooine and Luke on Alderaan (Leia gets to be a Jedi too, basically). But other than those role swap changes, I’m also going to address a bunch of things I wish the films had explored more/done better. So, rather than writing paragraph after paragraph elaborating on these changes, I will now present you with a bullet point list of “Things about the Jedi Padmé AU that make Fancy go insane”

GAP the Series ep 2 thoughts (spoilers!!)

Don't mind me I just realized I can keep like a gay lil captain's log of my GAP notes on here as the season airs to look back on. It's important to keep records!!

Mon is girlfriend-shaped. I loved the Sam headache scenes because it was obvious that she instinctively gets that, even if she spends her non-pain-medded-out moments resisting her instincts and flailing around as the most disastrous disaster lesbian

So curious if she remembers Mon after all? Why is "Mon's My Idol" the name in her phone?? What does it meannnnn?? LIKE either she remembers her OR she was that touched by one employee saying nice things about her one time in earshot lol edit: Was pointed out in asks that this is prob just Mon's default name on LINE or the way she entered herself into Sam's phone as a joke!

I fuckin knew this lady was trying to bone Sam and not Kirk the second I saw her candles. She is living the all-out Samfucker lifestyle, Mon you better start lighting candles every time you're inside if you wanna keep pace

I resented Kirk in ep 1 for spooning up the adoration of all the Diversity workers who hate Sam like an absentee dad showing up with presents, but this episode I super enjoyed his wingmanning. He's a Sam translator! Go to him if you want to know that Sam is actually trying, very badly, to flirt with you. Or don't go to him, he will come to you! Now if Nop could just fuck off for good w/ his creepy homophobic entitlement.

When Sam in her lace slut shirt told Mon her shirt was too thin as an excuse to give her her jacket... lmao GIRL!!! I loved it though, it was the mildest foretelling of disaster flirtation to come.

Seriously I want all the Khun Stupidity tales from her friends. Clearly her absolute inability to talk to women is a pattern. She's not even cringefail she's just a fullblown trainwreck. Show me the flashbackssssss

lets read rgu chapter 19

Last time Utena lost her duel - and with it Anthy - to Touga, and now she's so depressed that she, gasp, wears the normal girls' uniform. "Boo hoo, I was just a normal girl this whole time," says Utena. "I guess I might as well stop pretending to be weird and different."

*strikes the most ridiculous, elbows out, imitation fashion model poses* "This is how a normal girl sits, I think? I am nailing this."

In the student council chambers Miki and Juri are both giving Touga a hard time about it.

"That was a dick move Touga, and you suck."

Even cringefail Saionji's getting in on it. Everyone's ragging on Touga and it's hilarious.

God Dammit Saionji, you were cool for like five fucking seconds.

Meanwhile Utena's still moping about being a "normal girl" in the least normal way possible, and, like, in the anime this bit makes me legitimately feel bad for her, but in the manga version it's just hilarious, and like I get that this is a big emotional low point of the story but I'm pretty sure this is funny on purpose. Like, look at that stupid little face on the would be suitor as he slips past Wakaba to hand Utena his confession letter, and Utena's reaction to it... "Maybe I'll ~try~ going on a date with somone... That's what makes ~normal girls~ happy, right?"

Saionji shows up, and if he could keep his damn hands to himself and stop slapping Anthy around for five fucking minutes he'd really be earning a ton of points with me in this chapter. Like first he slides in doing his knock off of Touga's knock off Akio bit like he's going to neg Utena into bucking up and getting a grip, but he's too bitter and sincere so he can't help but sneak in a 'well now you know how I felt' bit in, and Utena's just leak "boo hoo yeah I dooooooo" and he's so fully taken aback that it like snaps him out of his entire affected personality?

And then there's this whole bit where Touga shows up and hangs all over Utena, half hitting on her and half gloating over how far she's fallen while Anthy just stands there and Saionji disappears. But Wakaba's still there and she's so offended that she tries to throw her glass of water in Touga's face, but of course...

Which leads to Wakaba blaming Anthy for Utena's depression instead of apologizing, and Utena half snaps out of her doledrums to, of course, leap to Anthy's defense, leading to a fight between Utena and Wakaba, and the whole thing's great drama, and for a moment I think that, like in the anime, Wakaba forcing Utena to recognize her feelings about Anthy is what's going to snap her out of her depression. Like, we'll get that cathartic moment of Utena deciding to challenge Touga to a rematch not simply to protect Anthy, but because she wants to be with Anthy herself, and if Anthy's decided she needs to be the champion duelist to do that, then so be it.

But this is Manga Utena, and for Manga Utena everything comes back to Prince Licky-Licky. So instead Wakaba runs off, and Utena goes home, and finds a gift from her prince with a new boy's uniform and a new letter.

And now that she has her man's permission to get over herself and go fight for Anthy, she does.

Yeah, by comparison the anime's choice to downplay Utena's search for her prince and put the emphasis more on becoming a prince herself was a good call.

Meanwhile Anthy's having a sincere emotion about it, and it's been so long that she doesn't even know what's happening.

These pages are great - Utena showing up in her new outfit, Anthy's heart leaping when she sees her, the duel challenge... only slightly brought down by Utena thinking about her prince.

Utena follows up her challenge with a big speech, and Touga accepts, but wants to put an extra wager on things, which Utena agrees to. If Utena wins, Touga will quit the student council, but if Touga wins, utena will be his girlfriend.

The next day the student council is gossiping about the bet, and they all think Touga's taking things too far. Meanwhile, Utena bumps into Touga on campus for a bit of smack talk & in the middle we get like the first sincere dialog from Touga so far, where he talks about his extremely abstract motivations, and...

What a nerd. What a teenager. This is very high school, and yeah it's kind of cute actually, and for the first time in this manga I could actually see these characters working as some sort of friends.

Of course, Utena ribbing him a bit in this moment of unintentional vulnerability causes him to disappear back into his defensive play boy routine.

So the actual duel starts, and I'm just going to rush through it because it goes basically the same as the anime...

Touga has Anthy power up the sword to Super Sword Level 2.

Which cuts through Utena's sword, leaving her with basically just a hilt, calling back to her first duel with Saionji.

Utena clasps her hand over her rose, risking physical harm rather than losing the duel.

She catches super sword level 2 on what's left of her normal sword, and Anthy starts waver.

Utena says she'll protect Anthy even if she gets hurt.

Anthy shuts off the sword's power, shocking Touga who sincerely thought Anthy had no agency what-so-ever (this is more excusable in the manga because Anthy hasn't been pretty blatantly choosing the winners of almost every duel to this point like she had been doing in the anime).

And between losing the sword's power and Touga's momentary distraction, Utena seizes victory.

But while the anime more or less ends the episode there, with Utena and Anthy walking off as the bells sound, leaving a shocked Touga speechless behind them, in the manga a bunch more stuff happens. The castle starts coming down, Dios comes out of the castle to bless Utena's victory, and she recognizes him as her prince, but not as Anthy's brother even though Dios is even more clearly Akio's double in the manga.

And in the most striking twist/divergence from the anime, Touga not only quits the student council, but swears himself to Utena as her follower, like Genos to Saitama. Which is probably sincere but could just as easily be a bid to annoy Utena until she releases him from his promise to quit the student council just to get rid of him.

All in all, this chapter is pretty good. We've been on a strong run since moving away from Miki and Juri.

I'm also not sure where we go from here. We're on chapter 19 out of 27, so I don't think there's really time to do the Black Rose business, but there's a bit much time to go straight to the Akio duel, and in any event need to build up drama between him and Utena first. And if the manga actually follows through on 'Utena's Squire, Touga' then that'll be completely new.

OC-tober Day 5: Relationships

I was going to do a chart but I have too many characters and I haven't introduced them all yet so instead I'll take this as an opportunity to introduce two OCs at once, my two absolutely terrible guys, Laurel and his husband Faust!

(warning for brief mentions of mind control in the context of Laurels powers, lemme know if there's anything else in here anyone would want a warning about that I missed)

Laurel is the closest thing Dualiti really has to a villain, as mentioned in his neocities blurb. but due to Dualiti's very static state of being, he's mostly been bothering the same places and people for the last 1000 years, the only thing changing being who's being sent to fight him. either way, he is extremely content with the status quo he's in, where he has a lot of control in his little bubble and can do basically whatever he feels like. He and Vex have a very complicated rivalry, but that's a whole different quadrant- *I AM IMMEDIATELY DRAGGED OFFSTAGE BY SECURITY*

His husband is Faust, a mad scientist who is the absolute worst. just about everyone who meets him is immediately repulsed by his personality, which is "I am smarter than everyone else and anyone who claims otherwise is stupid and wrong, even when I am actively failing at something". somehow, though, Laurel is absolutely charmed by his cringefail demeanor. it also helps that Faust is equally head over heels for him. they are both completely terrible but I guess somehow they cancel eachother out, so that's nice? I'm glad they managed to find eachother.

Laurel Fun Facts:

Though Laurel looks like just a really tall elf, (he is 7'6". elves in the universe of Dualiti do not get that tall ever.) he's actually a sentient magical organism that is puppeting a corpse to function as his main body. that organism is the slime, which manifests on his body as the hair coming from his head.

when Laurel (the magic organism) consumes matter, it produces more slime, which can be used as structures, weapons, and as means of controlling others.

He can make hunters by basically infecting people with himself, (someone ingests the slime, it gets into an injury, ect.) and puppeting them from the inside. once he's infected someone, they're basically already on his network, and he can step into the controls any time. (you know, like vris- *I am once again dragged offstage*) he doesn't use it a lot unless he has to, though. he likes the challenge of convincing people to work for him.

(also just to get it out there because I mentioned Laurels powers and I want to make it clear that, no, Faust isn't being mind controlled or anything. he just encountered someone who actually genuinely liked him and went full Gomez Addams about it)

He is very much inspired by my love of classic disney villains. always love a character who is awful and is having so much fun with it. Shoutout to my girl Maleficent she inspired SO much about Laurel without me even realizing it.

as mentioned, he and vex have sort of a weird rival thing going on. do they hate eachother? are they best friends? something else? fucking. I don't know man.

Faust Fun Facts:

Faust is very much inspired by characters like Doctor Robotnik, or Berdly of Deltarune. basically characters that are very confident in being super smart even when they probably aren't actually.

this isn't to say he's bad at what he does, he's really good at making robots and doomsday devices and the like- he's just bad at realizing that maybe he shouldn't keep putting in the function for them to explode randomly or at the slightest interference. high intelligence, fucking AWFUL wisdom.

He and Laurel met when Faust accidentally crashed his egg-mobile type thing into Laurels mansion and DIRECTLY onto the table Laurel was having tea at.

it's honestly a miracle Laurel thought he was funny and didn't end up killing him.

Faust does smoke, even though as a hunter/undead he doesn't really like, get any of what you would get from a cigarette. old habits die hard. (maybe he just likes the taste.)

as mentioned he is absolutely hopeless over Laurel. Laurel could literally do anything and Faust would think it was great. thankfully Laurel likes him just as much right back, which means that Faust can fuck up his evil schemes as much as possible and Laurel will not even care. he loves his silly little idiot so much.

Which Thirdverse nextgens would like to be in relationships, and which would be happy being single, barring Sunny, Tiger, Earth and Cut?

Thank you so much for asking!! Even though most of the ng cast doesn’t have any love interests in the story, that doesn’t mean all of the “single” characters wish to stay single forever, and it’s really fun to think through what their takes on love would be. Which are the following:

Laffy Taffy totally does not (/sarcasm) have a crush on one of her classmates. Their name is Nightmare Night and I first introduced them in this status! She’s definitely in that hormonal middle school era where crushes come much more quickly, but overall she is interested in finding someone who’ll be more than a friend to her.

Galatea is extremely social and has lots of friends at school, and while she isn't anywhere near seriously thinking of relationships in this stage of her childhood, it's been suggested to me that maybe she be somewhere on the ace/aro spectrum. It would certainly break stereotypes regarding asexuality, as my more recent work is known for, so I'm thinking about it as a possibility!

I like the idea of Blackberry Maple preferring a single life. He’s not asexual or anything, he just has a very wide network of friends and couldn’t see himself choosing one to spend the rest of his life with or choosing one location to settle down in forever. The Apple family farm is his home base, but he sees that as different from choosing a partner himself. His lifestyle is just not compatible with a steady monogamous partner.

I’m also toying with the idea of having Orchard Sunrise be not particularly interested in relationships, because getting married would mean losing her disability benefits /JOKE Though she does genuinely value her independence and knows that “who’s going to take care of you?” isn’t a good reason to look for a partner. She can get her caretaking requirements and companionship needs met through her other relationships. If there’s any interest at all, it would be an “if it happens it happens, if it doesn’t it doesn’t” attitude about romance and a complete lack of desire for children.

The real reason I’m thinking of this is because it would be funny as hell for Applejack’s dreams of having a child-in-law and grandchildren to rest on her most cringefail child because her two more competent children aren’t interested. I can definitely see Fireside Jam failing his way through a few relationships and learning some hard lessons before he settles down, but it is something he wants to do.

Bismuth Sun just gives me the vibe of someone who would want a partner. She puts in effort to prioritize her family even with her busy and stressful schedule because of how much she adores them, and she would be the same way with a romantic partner.

Outside gossipers wouldn’t think this to be very likely because of how they perceive their attitude, but Celestial Blessing would like to settle down with a lover someday too. Maybe even produce an heir to pass their knowledge on to. Of course they’re secure in themselves and devoted to their work so finding romance isn’t at the very top of their priority list; it’s not something they desperately seek out. But they would like it to happen eventually and hopefully not have to wait 15+ years to even start dating.

I like to think Evergreen Blaze has had a girlfriend at some point in his life, probably a fellow Wonderbolt or somepony who’s Wonderbolt-adjacent. I don’t imagine such a relationship being toxic per se, but Evergreen wouldn’t find it very fulfilling and he’s too emotionally stunted right now to admit to himself that he would much rather date a stallion.

Moonray Chill is one of those “straight” girls who just hasn’t found a boy she likes yet but is very close with her female friends! She enjoys going to sleepovers where they practice kissing boys on each other, cuddle in the same sleeping bags together, and (in the human au) admire each other’s bras. Just gal pal things! “Mom, what do you mean you’ve never done that with any girl friends?” She’s just an oblivious girl overall and that includes being oblivious to why she isn’t all that interested in boys.

Lantern is in a stage of life where they still feel like a child in many ways, so as of now they aren't thinking about relationships that much when they're still struggling to figure out who they even are. I like to think there are a few passing celebrity fancies, but even then it's a struggle of, "do I want them or do I want to BE them?" One day they'll figure it out, once they feel like they have more agency over the rest of their life.

Strawberry Breeze grows up into a proud bisexual mare whose standard for a partner is “whoever proves worthy.” It’d a high standard for someone with as big a personality as hers, but she’d say it’s perfectly achievable.

Daisy Wasp seems like she would be very selective with partnerships. If she had a partner during the main story, at age 15-ish (I don't plan for her to, just hypothetically), I think she would struggle because of all the time she volunteers as a peer conflict mediator. She wouldn't have much emotional energy left to commit herself to a lover's wants and needs. If she waited and got a partner when she's older, after she's sorted through the issues of her main arc, it would go better. Still, she would take her time to choose someone who also has good coping skills and boundaries so they can support each other through the highs and lows without being emotionally over-taxed.

You know those jokes about people who have never been in a relationship but still know a lot about how they should be (and how they should NOT be) from hearing all of their friends' stories about their relationships? Daisy Wasp is like that.

Fairyfly seems like the type who would think he should have a partner and an heir one day (despite being the lowest ranked of changeling royalty lol) because changelings are a species of love and he thinks it would be expected of him. Even though King Thorax and next-in-line Ocellus are both single, as far as I have planned rn. He has plenty of time to figure out what he actually wants beyond what (he thinks) is expected of him.
